Children's slide for the dacha: the product we will talk about in this article on the website. Drawings photos and video instructions will help you build DIY children's slide. A children's slide is probably one of the mandatory elements of any suburban area if you have children. Any number of structures can be installed on the playground various types: sandbox - the choice depends on your desires and financial capabilities. Most items for the playground can be made independently. For example, children's slide It is constructed quite simply, and has served as a source of children's joy for many years.

The main requirement for children's slide at the dacha is safety

Mandatory conditions for a children's slide in the country

Children's slide at the dacha can be installed both indoors and outdoors. It is worth understanding that a slide for a child (whether it was built for the house or for the street in this case does not matter) must meet certain requirements:

  • For construction, you need to use only environmentally friendly materials that are safe for the health of the child. It doesn’t matter whether you are building a slide from wood, metal or plastic, the material should not contain harmful elements. The same goes for paint and varnish materials, with which you will open the structure. Another important point both for children's plastic slide for home and for wooden structure– it is fire resistant;

The most popular materials for slide construction– wood and metal

  • be sure to use structural elements such as railings and fences. They will not only help the child maintain balance while climbing the slide, but will also protect him from falling during games. Railings on a slide for a child in the country should be installed regardless of the age of your child;
  • It is best to use wood to build the structure. Children's wooden slides for the home are more pleasant to use due to the natural origin of the material. IN street conditions Wooden slides do not heat up as quickly as metal ones, so they can be installed in any place convenient for you, and not just in the shaded part of the site. A child can easily get burned on hot metal, but wood does not heat up to a dangerous temperature;

Metal slide with a wavy slope covered with acrylic paint

  • plastic children's slide easier for the street than wood or metal. It can be easily moved from place to place and transported if necessary, but the material itself is less durable and can easily crack;
  • slide should be located away from trees, lamps, outbuildings and other structures. This is done so that the baby does not get hurt when going down the slide. The surface around the hill can be sown lawn grass or use a special rubber coating. Remember that the main thing is the child’s health, so any street children's slide for the garden must be safe;

Slide must be installed on open area, which will help minimize possible injuries

  • the base should be strengthened with metal support or concreted. You should not rely on the fact that the child will not move the structure from its place - even the most durable slide can tip over as a result of children's games;
  • an important point is the height of the structure being constructed do-it-yourself children's slide for the dacha. It must be appropriate for the child’s age, for example, the height of a slide intended for younger children school age, should not exceed 3.5 m.

Helpful advice! The design of the slide must have no gaps or openings, otherwise the child may get stuck or be seriously injured during the game.

DIY slide construction: materials and tools

How build a slide at your dacha with your own hands without much difficulty? If we're talking about about a wooden structure, you will need several wooden beams, planed boards, slats, lining and fiberboard. The elements can be connected to each other using nails, anchor bolts and screws.

Process construction of a children's slide made of wood

The list of tools needed for construction is very simple:

  • wood saw, manual or electric;
  • hammer;
  • hand or electric drill;
  • plane;
  • tape measure and level;
  • drill.

A slope for a slide can be purchased from a factory or you can make it yourself

By the way, it is not necessary to use a wooden ramp - cracks may appear on it or chips may break off, which can injure the child. You can buy plastic slides and install them on a wooden structure.

In the case of a metal structure, everything is a little more complicated. You'll need it here welding machine and Bulgarian. All seams and joints in wooden and metal structures should be carefully sanded so that the child does not accidentally get hurt during play. Metal ramps for children's slide should be painted with a special paint that will absorb sunlight and prevent the metal from heating to high temperatures.

How to build a children's slide at the dacha with your own hands

If you decide build a slide for a child on your own, you should follow a certain sequence of actions:

  • first of all you need to prepare construction plan. You can take a ready-made one from the Internet or draw your own. Ready drawings of a children's slide made from wood with your own hands are good because they indicate the exact proportions of the elements and the sizes of individual parts;
  • Referring to the diagram, it is necessary to cut the boards, slats and beams. In addition, they must be sanded so that splinters cannot get under the child’s skin. Using a plane, the beveled edges of the corners of the parts are removed, which will further increase the safety of the structure;

Wooden structures are environmentally friendly and quite easy to install

  • markings are carried out in the designated area. It is worth allocating a site with a reserve if you are going to build a children's sports complex for your summer cottage along with a slide. Optimal size for a structure without additional extensions - 2 by 2 m;
  • recesses of approximately 60 cm are dug under the supports. wooden beams, the ends of which should be coated with a special waterproofing mastic. This is done in order to extend the service life of the supports. Grooves are cut into the racks into which connecting wooden boards. The elements of the resulting frame are connected to each other using bolts or self-tapping screws;

  • then the floor is installed. At building a slide at the dacha with your own hands remember: it is important that the floor is as strong as possible, so thick boards are selected for it, which are connected to each other with self-tapping screws and screwed to the frame using metal corners. If you do not want water to accumulate on the floor of the slide, you should leave small gaps between the boards, but not enough for the child to stick his finger into them;

Railings and fences – required elements designs children's slide

  • A ramp for children's slides is being manufactured. Its width should not exceed 80 cm. The surface of the slope is covered with linoleum, galvanized sheet or plastic. Linoleum is the cheapest option, but is easily warped and torn. Metal coating It heats up noticeably in the sun and can also bend. Most reliable option– plastic slides for children's slides. Plastic does not overheat, does not rust or bend, but is more expensive than linoleum or metal coating;

  • a ladder is being installed. The optimal size of boards for its manufacture is 20 mm. After installing the main part, the side part is installed. To do this, a board sawn at an angle of 45° is attached to the racks with screws. Then the bars are screwed to the board, onto which the steps are mounted. Photos of do-it-yourself wooden children's slides on the Internet clearly show how exactly the elements of the stairs need to be attached. After installing the steps, balusters are installed on which the railings are attached;

Helpful advice! Railings must be made in any case, regardless of the height of the slide or the angle of inclination of the stairs. They serve not only for safety, but also to make it easier for the child to maintain balance when lifting.

  • Grooves are cut out in the side of the racks into which side walls made of plywood or fiberboard are installed. The walls can also be made of small boards or have some original look;
  • All protruding corners, heads of nails and screws are removed, all surfaces are carefully sanded and coated with paint or a special protective varnish.

An interesting modification of the design could be a slide - a sandbox for children. In this case, the sandbox is organized either at the base of the slide, or you can build a reservoir with sand at the end of the descent.

Materials for building a children's slide

If you are in doubt about what material to use to build a house with a slide for children or another similar structure on personal plot, you should familiarize yourself in detail with the features of buildings made of the two most popular materials - wood and metal.

Features of a wooden slide

Wooden structures for playgrounds have proven themselves several centuries ago. All children's slides made of wood with their own hands are built according to a classic layout, which includes a ladder and a ramp, a base, an upper platform and a protective part. In addition, often standard project add additional elements, for example, an internal labyrinth, a sandbox, additional descents and much more. Since such a design can be made quite simply, everything here depends solely on your imagination.

One of the significant advantages of creating a wooden slide for children in the country with your own hands is the low cost of production. The material itself is relatively inexpensive, and specialized tools are also not needed to process it. In addition, building a structure from boards and timber does not require any special construction skills and abilities from you - sometimes it is enough just to strictly adhere to the diagram found on the Internet.

Another advantage of this design is its environmental Safety. The tree does not cause allergies and does not emit harmful substances when heated. The only controversial point here is paintwork structures, so be sure to read the instructions when purchasing varnish or paint to cover the slide.

Helpful advice! The wood for the slide must be High Quality, dry and well sanded. Choose the strongest types of wood, and to increase resistance to humidity or temperature changes, the boards must be coated with a special compound.

An element that should be given special attention when installing a wooden structure is the descent. It is best not to take risks using planed boards yourself, but to purchase factory-made material for the ramp. It can be linoleum, a sheet of stainless metal or plastic.

Features of a children's metal slide

Metal slides for children used to be in every yard and, with proper care, could last for decades. Photos of children's slides with their own hands made of metal show that in appearance they are not much different from their wooden counterpart.

A significant advantage of a metal structure is its strength. No iron structure required special processing and care, withstands temperature changes, high humidity, large mechanical loads. The only thing that needs to be done periodically with a metal slide is to renew the paint and make sure that the paint coating does not peel off as a result of corrosion.

Strength and durability are the main advantages of metal structures

How make a slide for children with your own hands made of metal? To do this you will need ready-made elements, a grinder and a welding machine. Special attention It is worth paying attention to the seams, as they are potentially dangerous for the child. The quality of welding is also of fundamental importance: the higher it is, the stronger the structure will be.

Flaw iron slide– quick warming up in the sun. If you install such a structure where the sun's rays constantly fall on it, your child can easily get burned. Therefore, if you decide to build a building from metal elements, you should select a place for it in the shade or make a special one.

At building a slide with your own hands it is not necessary to use only wooden or metal elements. These materials can be combined in different proportions, thus obtaining an original, reliable design.

Of course, one can always wonder where buy a children's slide for the dacha. This can be done in any specialized store or online. But remember that only a design made by yourself will satisfy all your requirements and allow you to realize your design fantasies.

Even a factory-made slide can be supplemented with independently created elements

There are a number of points that are worth considering to ensure that the design is reliable and safe:

  • for additional stability of the balusters, the staircase of a wooden structure should be additionally strengthened with the help of planks;
  • drawings, videos, photos of children's slides at the dacha with their own hands show that the grooves and slats inserted into them, when bolted together, form a light, but strong and stable structure;

At construction of a children's slide in the country the height of the structure should be carefully calculated

  • An excellent option for painting a structure is acrylic paint. It is safe for the child’s health, protects the tree well from various kinds of negative influences and looks attractive. Acrylic is also famous for its durability and does not lose color saturation even with prolonged exposure to direct sunlight;
  • convenient type of covering for use under a slide – artificial grass or rubber. This does not require special care, does not change its properties depending on the time of year or weather, creates a safe surface under the slide that will protect the child from injury in the event of a fall from the slide.

The surface around the slide for children should be as traumatic as possible

Plastic slide for children purchased in a store or at construction market, is not always the best option. Yes, you save time and effort by building, but wooden or metal structure may not only cost less money, but will also allow you to create a full-fledged sports complex for your child, consisting of large quantity elements. By the way, even a plastic slide for children can be supplemented with homemade elements and turned into a complex and exciting structure for games.

A high-quality and reliable slide is not only good way keep your child occupied during their stay country house, but also the opportunity to develop it physically.

A children's slide is perhaps the central object of any playground. This is not only an interesting structure where you can have fun, but the slide also develops important physical skills in your child. There are different slides, but almost all of them can be built with your own hands. If you want to build a children's playground, you need to start with a slide, gradually adding other elements: swings, horizontal bars, sandbox, etc. In this article you will learn how to make a children's slide with your own hands.

All children, without exception (and even some adults) love to ride the slide. This entertainment allows you to release pent-up energy as much as possible and at the same time gain useful skills. In addition, riding a slide gives a basic understanding of certain physical phenomena, such as gravity and speed.

The children's slide itself is quite complex design, which becomes clear only if you build it yourself. And the most important thing during assembly is to follow safety precautions and build the strongest and most reliable foundation possible. You should not think that since only small children will climb the slide, it will not be subjected to serious loads. On the contrary, during play, children jump, shake and loosen the structure, and it must withstand all this.

  1. Do not install the structure near street lamps, trees, any buildings or greenhouses. The slide should be located at a distance, and it is best to fence the playground with a low fence.
  2. Make sure there is some shade on the hill during the hottest hours of the day. It is very harmful for children to be in the sun for a long time, and in order not to drive them home, set up an awning or build a slide in a place where the shadow of the house or trees falls on it.
  3. Pay special attention to the fastenings of supports and handrails.
  4. A few more words about the place where the slide should stand. It is best to build it on an area that will be clearly visible from the house or from the benches where the parents will sit.
  5. As for the landscape, it is advisable to build a playground on an elevated area so that rain and melt water drains quickly and children do not play in puddles.

Before you go to the store for materials and tools, carefully plan and think through the smallest design features. So, you can build a regular wooden slide, or you can have a children's slide and swing combined into a complex. It all depends on by and large, on your skills and abilities. Metal can also be used as the main material for construction. Such work will be more difficult and will require special welding equipment. Next, you will learn how to build a children's slide for a summer house from wood and metal.

DIY wooden children's slide

Wooden slides are considered the simplest to make, which is why they can most often be found in country houses and private courtyards. Designs can be very different, as you will see when you look at the photo selection at the end of the article. We suggest starting with the simplest one. When creating a diagram, take into account not only the location of the elements, but also the age of the children for whom you are building the slide. So, for children of primary school age, the height of the children's slide should not exceed 3.5 m.

For construction, prepare the following:

  • wooden pine beam 50x50 mm, length 80 cm – 1 piece;
  • timber 100x100 mm, length 60 cm – 4 pcs;
  • floorboard 40x130 mm, length 60 cm – 3 pcs;
  • planed board 40x130, length 60 cm – 5 pcs;
  • round rail 30x120 mm – 2 pcs;
  • Fiberboard or wooden lining– 2 sheets;
  • anchor bolts, screws;
  • galvanized nails.

The tools you will need are a hammer, a hacksaw, an electric plane, a drill with a set of drills, and a tape measure. It would be nice to have a machine for cutting wood at an angle. If the farm does not have tools for processing wood, you can take the raw materials and the diagram to a metalworking workshop and ask them to cut the parts there, then all that remains is to assemble and paint the slide on the spot.

Making a children's slide with your own hands:

  1. Saw the wooden beams in accordance with the diagram. To make it easier, you can take a ready-made diagram as a basis, just adjust it to required sizes. All wooden elements needs to be processed with a plane, sandpaper and smooth out all the corners. When building anything for children, always try to avoid creating corners - the child will definitely find a way to bump. Therefore, remove the chamfers by beveling the edges of the corners of the parts, and slightly round the ends.
  2. Now you can move on to working in the field. Make a mark on the selected area. The area under the hill should be about 2x2 m. In order for the structure to be stable, it must be built on a foundation. Easiest and fastest to do columnar foundation, but there is one nuance here - it is advisable to find out the level of soil freezing in winter. So, if you lay the pillars to a depth less than this level, in the spring heaving forces can push out the foundation, and the entire structure will sag. But if the soil is stable, a depth of 40-50 cm will be sufficient. Just in case, let’s choose a value of 60 cm. Using garden drill Dig holes of appropriate depth. Treat the ends of the 100x100 mm beams that will be immersed in the ground with an antiseptic, wrap them in roofing material or lubricate them bitumen mastic for waterproofing.
  3. Insert the beams into the ground and use a router to select grooves 20 mm deep in the posts.
  4. Fasten the supports with a board, insert them into the grooves and tighten them with anchor bolts. As a result, you should have a strong and stable frame.
  5. In a pair of wooden posts, select 20x40 mm grooves at the end and screw them to the frame.
  6. Now you can begin installing the floor. The boards for it must first be treated with an antiseptic and painted (varnished). Screw the boards to the base, leaving small gaps of 5-7 mm between them so that water and sand can escape through them and the surface remains clean. Those boards that will be connected to the floor beams must be fastened with steel corners for reliability.
  7. Now the most important thing is to make the descent. There are standards here, which state that the width of the ramp should be no more than 80 cm, otherwise, in the process of going down the slide, the child may roll over and “land” upside down. In the case of a wooden slide, the descent is simple - you need to attach the boards so that they cover the entire space from the top to the bottom. Then you need to build sides about 30 cm high on the sides.
  8. In many cases, a plastic sheet, galvanized plaque or regular linoleum is used to finish such wooden slopes so that children can slide. But materials have their own characteristics. Thus, plastic is not susceptible to corrosion and does not bend, which cannot be said about galvanized sheets, but it is more expensive. Linoleum will cost the least, but its service life will be limited to several seasons. You can leave the wooden surface, but then you need to sand the boards thoroughly so that they are smooth and even, and then cover them with several layers of weather-resistant paint or varnish.
  9. When the children's slide is strengthened, all that remains is to build a ladder. It must be remembered that small children will climb the ladder, and therefore the distance between the steps must be appropriate. For construction, take 50 mm boards. To make a stringer, lay two boards side by side and fasten them with self-tapping screws.
  10. Install the side piece by attaching a 45° sawn board to the posts. For fixation, use self-tapping screws or anchor bolts. Fasten the bars at equal distances, then place the steps on them and screw them with self-tapping screws.
  11. Install a baluster 50 cm high and screw the railing. Screw the upper parts of the railing to the wooden posts.
  12. Make 20x12 grooves in the side of the racks, measuring no more than 20 cm from the floor. Cut the walls from fiberboard or moisture-resistant plywood and insert them into the grooves. Then place round slats in the middle of the floor and wall and screw a plywood panel to the back.
  13. Make a parapet from 20 and 80 cm slats and attach it to the side beams. For greater safety, it can be covered with fiberboard or plywood.
  14. The final stage of work will be masking all fasteners, sanding and coating with a paint layer. Deepen all the heads of nails and screws into the wood and cover them with putty, remove all protruding corners and smooth out any unevenness, if any. After sanding, coat all boards (even back sides) antiseptic, stain and weatherproof varnish. You can paint the slide with paints and involve the children in this activity.

Helpful advice: to preserve the painting for a long time, apply it to a primed surface. If children will be decorating the slide, it is safer to use acrylic paints, and when they are dry, coat the surface with a transparent weather-resistant varnish.

DIY metal children's slide

There are no significant differences between wooden and metal slides, except that the latter will require pouring lightweight slab foundation. In some cases, you can place the slide on a columnar base of 4 support pipes filled with cement. To such a foundation, a staircase with railings is welded to its two pillars, and a descent is attached to the opposite side. A metal platform is fixed on top of all 4 pipes, which combines the stairs and the descent. The site should be equipped with railings and a canopy.

In the case of metal slides, it is important to work out design features descent As a rule, it is made from two round pipes with bends that evenly descend down to the base and go shallow underground. A kind of trench made of durable material is attached to the pipes. steel sheet, which acts as a descent. The process of building a metal slide is quite simple, but the main thing here is to correctly distribute the load. Also, all welding seams must be thoroughly sanded, smoothed with a grinder and coated with anti-corrosion paint.

To simplify your task and reduce costs for materials (wood is cheaper than metal), the entire structure can be made of wood, and the descent can be made of thick galvanized metal sheet. It will glide well and last much longer than wood.

Helpful advice: Renew the protective paint coating every spring to prevent corrosion or rotting from occurring.

Slides for playgrounds can be very different, and if you have the opportunity to work with your own hands, you can make them as comfortable as possible. For example, the structure can be collapsible in order to hide it in a shed for the winter, thereby protecting it from destruction. You can make a children's pool with a slide that will be attached to the side. There are many options and finally we invite you to familiarize yourself with a small photo selection that presents various designs wooden and metal slides.

Children's slides: photo

Children's mini playgrounds are usually located in even small yards country houses. Their mandatory attributes include a slide. Of course you can buy ready-made option similar designs in the store. But it’s much more interesting to make them yourself, right in your garden. And it will take much less money to equip the site. In this article we will talk about how to make a children's slide with your own hands.

Requirements for a children's slide

Of course, making a wooden slide with your own hands should be safe. To achieve this, the following requirements must be met when drawing up a project:

  • The finished structure should not have sharp corners and protrusions that could injure a child.
  • The upper platform, stairs and descent are necessarily fenced with railings.
  • Do not use flammable materials in the manufacture of the slide.
  • When choosing the angle of descent and the height of the slide, you need to take into account the age of the child. Most often, such structures are assembled for children 5-9 years old. In this case optimal height will be 1.5 meters (to the top platform). The slope angle of such slides is usually 55 degrees.
  • And, of course, the structure must be assembled from environmentally friendly materials. Most often, do-it-yourself slides are made from wood. To assemble a metal slide, you need a welding machine. But not every household has it.

Drawings and diagrams

One of the drawings above shows a children's house with a slide.

What materials are needed for a children's garden slide?

To install the slide you will need a 100x100 mm timber, a 200x30 mm edged board, a long piece of galvanized sheet, bitumen and crushed stone. All lumber must first be sanded with a grinder and impregnated with anti-rotting and fire-resistant compounds. The tools you will need to prepare are a grinder with a grinding attachment, a garden auger, a screwdriver or a hammer. The elements can be fastened with nails or self-tapping screws. You will also need galvanized corners. A do-it-yourself children's slide should first of all be safe, so you only need to choose quality materials. Below you can see step by step photo with instructions.

First, markings are made on the ground downhill. Assembly begins with the installation of supports. They are made from thick timber. Holes with a depth of at least 70 cm are drilled in the ground with a garden drill. A little crushed stone is poured onto their bottom and compacted. The ends of the beams are coated with bitumen mastic, drying oil or and installed strictly vertically. Backfilling is done with crushed stone.

Attached to racks bottom trim(at a height of approximately 40-50 cm from the ground). Next, support beams are placed under the platform. If you plan to make a canopy over the slide, attach the top frame. The platform handrail is fixed to the corners.

The descent is assembled like this:

  • Using bars (across, from the bottom side) connect 3 boards.
  • Smooth tin is stuffed on top. It must be secured in such a way that the edges do not come off later and children cannot get hurt. It is best to place them on the ends of the boards.
  • Sides are attached to both sides of the finished descent. It is better to fix them not with nails, but with self-tapping screws. The ends are at the required angle.

Assembling the stairs

The slide steps must be safe. Their optimal height is 12-15 cm. The angle of inclination of the stairs may be slightly less than that of the descent. The easiest way is to secure the steps on strings. To do this, two boards are first fixed to the racks at the level of the upper platform. Next with inside support bars under the steps are placed on them. Then the treads themselves are attached. It is not necessary to install risers.

The final stage

The last step should be to secure the descent to the support pillars at site level. In this case, it is also better to use self-tapping screws. Next, the floor of the site is sheathed and the canopy is installed. The latter is most often made gable. In this case, two posts are attached to the top trim. The skate is fixed on them. Four rafters are fixed (two on each side) and plywood is sewn on. The platform railings are covered with a board. Next, the entire structure needs

Agree that in new year holidays One of the best, most memorable childhood memories is winter festivities. Making a snowman, sledding, skiing, and, of course, on the slides is a wonderful activity. The latter will be discussed in this article.

You will learn how to build a slide without difficulties at home, without any outside help. This slide will bring great joy to your children and even adults, and to make the work less boring, you can involve the whole family in it.

How to make a snow slide for children with your own hands?

It often happens that some problems occur during the construction of a slide. It is destroyed, disintegrates, in the very inappropriate place pits and irregularities appear. Next, you will learn how to make a slide correctly. So that it is durable, reliable, and most importantly, comfortable.

Materials for building a slide

To build successfully you will need the following:

  1. Frost outside the window
  2. A large amount of pure snow
  3. Shovel
  4. Broom
  5. Quite a decent amount of water
  6. Watering can, ladle
  7. Positive attitude
  8. Scraper or spatula

An example of building a slide for collective use

To build a slide, you need to follow a few simple rules:

Safety. Select safe place location of the future structure. This is necessary so that your child does not get hurt during the descent, so that there is no tree, fence, road, bushes or other obstacles on the way. You should not create an object of entertainment under the roofs of old houses, from which an icicle, slate, brick, etc. may fall.

Slide height, tilt angle. Determine the height of the future slide based on the age of the children. For very young children, up to about three years old, a slide one meter high is enough. For older children, the most optimal, safe height is two to four meters. You should also adhere to correct angle tilt, such that it is no more than forty degrees.

Pure snow. When constructing a slide, you must use clean material. Because your child may smear things. Try to prevent children from getting hurt. The problem arises if there is debris, branches, sticks, etc. in the snow.

The procedure for creating an ice slide:

  • Once the location and size are determined, we begin work. Using shovels you need to sketch required quantity snow. For example, a meter-long slide can be built in about thirty minutes. It is advisable to make the foundation of your snow slide using rolled large balls of snow. This way you will already have the base of the slide created.
  • Next, we proceed to the formation of our slide. Using a spatula or broom, give it the required form. We make the optimal angle of inclination of the slide, straighten the area of descent of the snow slide.

The base of the formed snow slide
  • If the slide is high, make steps using a spatula (scraper) or shovel. To make the steps stronger, strengthen them with your feet so that the snow settles, and only then shape them with an auxiliary tool. They should be comfortable and small so that children can easily climb up.

An example of making snow steps

IMPORTANT: The acceptable width of the step is at least twenty-nine centimeters.

Don't forget about the sides. Their height should be approximately ten to thirty centimeters, depending on the age of the child. The sides can be made using a shovel. Also, in order to give them shape it is necessary to use handmade. During it, do not forget to wear gloves as protection from the cold.

If you have the desire and time, then add decor. Decorate the slide with snowmen, various figures, and paint it with patterns. Or do everything to your liking, a lot depends on your imagination.

How to properly fill a snow slide with water?

We have come to the most difficult final stage - filling the ice slide with water. The slide must be filled in several stages - at least three times. Use cool water using a spray bottle, watering can, or ladle.

What needs to be done to ensure that the descent on the hill is uniform?

You will need a broom; with it you spray an even layer of water over the entire surface of the structure. Make sure there are no irregularities, holes, or bumps. To do this, during pouring, you need to smack the set thin, fragile layer of ice with a broom. After the second stage, you have a rough crust of ice. For a more reliable result, fill the slide a third time, after which you will get a strong, smooth, and most importantly, reliable structure.

IMPORTANT: Fill finished design stands at a low temperature, from 10 degrees below zero. Otherwise, your efforts will be completely useless.

If you follow the entire sequence of work, you will get excellent snow slide, which your children will be very happy about. If the winter turns out to be frosty, then the item of entertainment will last until the spring thaw.

Walking on fresh air– this is always a guarantee of the child’s health. If in the city almost every yard is equipped with modern children's equipment in the form of swings, carousels, sports complexes and children's slides, then in private areas and dachas the issue is acute. Firstly, on private territory not as much space as in a public yard. Secondly, the cost of playgrounds is not cheap, so parents of growing toddlers should think about self-construction slides.

Peculiarities

It's not difficult to build a slide yourself. Even 1 person can do this without outside help. Of course, if you are starting this for the first time, help will not hurt you. Main feature An outdoor slide is that it must be all-season, that is, it must be durable, stable, reliable and comfortable. There are several rules, following which you will be sure that you will have the best slide for children.

  • Leave a safety zone around the slide within 1-2 meters, so that playful children will not trip over obstacles and get injured.
  • Place the slide close to the tree so that it does not fall into the safety zone, but in summer its crown provides shade on the slide. Such measures will not allow the slope to heat up if it is made of plywood or steel.
  • Pay attention to the descent area: firstly, install a parallel “braking” platform, and secondly, ensure safety on it (pour sand or lay a rubber floor tile, it will provide shock absorption for the child when landing).
  • It is better if the length of the slope is 2 times greater than the height of the structure.

You can build a completely wooden slide or wooden frame with a plastic all-season slope (nowadays there are a lot different models On the market). The main thing is that the outdoor slide is popular with children and trusted by parents. Wooden children's slides can be used all year round. In cold weather, you can fill it with water, and your children will be happy with such winter fun. In summer, care must be taken to ensure that the slide slides. A slide with a wooden slope has both pros and cons.

Preparation for work

When choosing material for a future slide, be guided by the safety and environmental friendliness of the materials. Despite the fact that modern plastic does not emit toxins, wood still remains the most reliable, natural and affordable material. When making a slide from wood, do not forget that wood tends to rot and deform, so stock up on coatings and impregnations.

To make a slide with your own hands, you first need to draw or find ready-made drawings. Pay attention to the age of the child for whom the slide will be intended. Determine the dimensions, installation location of the future slide, calculate how much material is needed. Calculate your strengths and abilities, because once you promise a child a slide, you will no longer be able to refuse this idea.

Blueprints

The pictures show the simplest drawings of slides that any dad can bring to life. Ready-made drawings are more convenient because they indicate ready-made calculations of the proportions of each element of the slide. Take care of the steps - for kids they should be flat, for older children they can be vertical. The shape itself can be straight - when the staircase is parallel to the slope, or angular - when the staircase is on the side of the launch pad.

Installation location

The selected area must be fenced, leveled, and pegs placed in place of future supports. Please make sure that there are no thorny bushes nearby, no wires or irrigation equipment. Remove rocks and possible debris from around the slide. After installation, continue to monitor the cleanliness of the site.

Material calculation

As an example of calculating materials for an outdoor wooden slide, let’s take a drawing with dimensions: ramp – 3000 mm, launch pad – 500x500 millimeters. Based on the rules for the best slide, we determine that the height of the launch pad is 3000/2 = 1500 millimeters.

Material

Quantity, pcs.

Beam 150*150*1500 mm

Stiffening ribs on top

Beam 20*40*500 mm

Bottom stiffening ribs

Beam 20*100*500

Fencing

Beam 40*40*500 mm

Railings (if necessary)

Beam 20*20*1500 mm

Railing supports

Beam 20*20*900 mm

Board 25*100*500 mm

steps

Board 25*100*300 mm

Floorboard 20*500*3000 mm / moisture-resistant plywood 20*500*3000 mm

ramp fencing

Beam 25*100*3 000

Fastenings

Self-tapping screws, anchors, bolts, screws

Of necessity

Material for stairs (for bowstring/stringer)

Board or timber

Tools that will be useful:

  • roulette;
  • hammer;
  • spirit level;
  • drill;
  • electric plane;
  • saw.

Check that all fastenings of the future slide are galvanized. It is better not to use nails.

Scat

The ramp is given the most space in the slide design. This is regulated by GOST R 52168-2003. The figure shows excerpts from GOST - classification of slides. Drawing of a slide with a slope of 40 degrees (see photo).

Material processing

The wood should be well dried, planed with a plane (it’s more efficient to use an electric one), all corners should be rounded, and the surface should be sanded. Treat the bottom of the timber under the supports, approximately 50 cm from the edge, with resin, machine oil, mastic or any other antiseptic to prevent rotting.

How to do it yourself?

DIY outdoor slide installation It will look like this step by step.

  • In place of the installed pegs, dig holes slightly wider than the support beam and approximately 40-50 cm deep each. Fall asleep sand mixture or gravel for added traction and protection.
  • Install support pillars and fill them with concrete. When installing on anchors - screw anchor bolt to the support, drive it firmly into the ground. Check that the anchors are L-shaped, it will be driven in more securely. Then compact the supports with earth around them.
  • Install the lower stiffeners. To do this, you need to connect the support and the rib with screws or self-tapping screws.
  • Install the upper stiffening ribs parallel to each other and secure the floor to them. To prevent water from accumulating, leave gaps of a few millimeters between the floor boards.

  • When starting to install the ramp, choose one of the installation options: form the required angle (usually 45) and attach the ramp to the base or cut out grooves (see photo).
  • After installing the ramp, immediately process it, and also decide what to cover it with for sliding. If this is a slide for winter, just fill it with water, but if the slide is used in the summer, you can put linoleum on it, fill it with wax, or choose not to do so in advance. wooden materials for the slope, and plywood or galvanized steel.
  • To build a staircase, select the type of construction: bowstring or stringer. The bowstring is a structure with grooves into which steps are inserted. The staircase has two strings - on both sides of the steps. Kosour is a type load-bearing beam, on which the steps are attached. It is installed either on the sides, like a bowstring, or in the middle.
  • Install ramp guards and railings. The height of the railing according to GOST is at least 900 millimeters and is calculated as follows: height of the stand + height of the railing, so the support itself can be less than 900 millimeters and depend on the height of the child.

The main thing is that the railings can be used for their intended purpose, and that the child can reach them and hold on independently. Alternatively, you can make a crossbar between the two front support posts. The child can hold on to it in order to sit on the ramp.

Thanks to a simple step-by-step diagram, you can build a wooden slide with your own hands for your child. For older children, you can make not a simple straight slope, but a wave or helical one. In this case, the drawings will be different, and the easiest way out of the situation is to purchase a ready-made plastic screw ramp. A slide with a plastic ramp is assembled in the same way as with a wooden one, only on the condition that a ramp made of a different material is attached to the launch pad.

There are also options for making such a ramp from flexible plywood. In this case, take care of the high strength of the structure and stock up on additional spacers and stiffeners. Children will have a place to hide from the rain if you install support pillars of greater height and attach the roof to them.
