Interior doors with good soundproofing rating. Do-it-yourself soundproofing of interior doors

Sound insulation can be used to reduce the level of noise entering the room from the street and from the next room. Increasingly, in apartments and private houses, not only entrance doors, but also interior doors with sound insulation are installed. Soundproofing will help get rid of extraneous noise, which will have a positive effect on the comfort level of the residents of the house. It is not necessary to change every door in the apartment for a soundproof one, existing structures can be simply modernized.

Sound-absorbing interior doors can be different design, such designs may differ from each other by the method of opening and the material of manufacture, the same applies to the dimensions. Features - the presence of seals both inside and around the perimeter of the entire product, which ensures its good fit to the box.

Despite the external similarity with the usual structures, the internal filling of noise-absorbing structures has its own characteristics. Soundproofing doors can be done using:

  1. corrugated cardboard sheet - the most budget material that loses its properties in the very first years of use;
  2. mineral wool - creates a non-combustible plane, but during operation, due to the formed voids, it cannot fully contain the noise;
  3. foam board - along with high soundproofing performance, it also has its drawbacks, for example, it is a rapidly flammable material that is dangerous by the release of toxic gases;
  4. foamed polyurethane - keeps noise and extraneous sounds, while meeting all the requirements fire safety.

The sound absorption level of noise-insulating doors is 27-40 dB, which is determined by the quality and quantity of the filler. So, a thin and lightweight design is not able to get rid of external noise, so it is worth putting a door with more reliable protection.

Additional methods of soundproofing

As effective ways soundproofing improvements can be applied:

  • glass insert;
  • gluing sealing tape to the door frame;
  • installation of two-layer glass doors with an air gap;
  • use of special brushes to keep noise.

Interroom door structures with a high degree of noise insulation are presented in a large assortment and can perform a number of additional functions... For example, the thresholds in doorways will help not only to reduce the level of external noise, but also to keep the warmth inside the room. But they can interfere with the smooth movement of the apartment. In this case, the alternative would be "hidden systems". You can reduce the noise level by using:

  1. A rubber sill, which will allow you to close the gap under the canvas, while the opening-closing process will become much easier.
  2. The "smart threshold" system completely isolates the gap under high-quality doors when they are closed, but in case of opening, a mechanism is activated that makes the seal layer rise by the desired height... Thanks to this design, drafts will be excluded in the room.

If desired, you can make good sound insulation on old doors, following the diagram below:

  • The door frame should be in tight contact with the wall; you will need a sealant to cover the holes.
  • We process the soundproofing sheet on both sides with a special mixture.
  • As decorative finishing the soundproof door uses leatherette nailed onto small nails.
  • To close the gap between the canvas and the box, a seal is glued.
  • Installation of flexible or "smart" threshold.

Design features for interior doors

Plastic, metal, glass and fiberboard plates are taken as the basis for noise-insulating door structures. Wood and similar materials are suitable for swing doors, and plastic and metal for sliding products. With the help of the latest models, it is impossible to fully protect the room from penetrating sounds.

Doors to an apartment with a frame with MDF and chipboard sheathing are offered of a similar quality. This manufacturing technology is typical for to a greater extent for old-style constructions, now the models are equipped with a cardboard insert filled with honeycombs, which, due to their elasticity, retain extraneous noise.

High degree soundproofing is possessed by doors made of natural wood.

Decorative inserts from glass and mirrors reduce the level of sound insulation, therefore, the optimal glazing is considered to be up to 20% of the total area of the canvas. To improve protection performance, it is better to install a double or triple structure. Hardwoods can reduce noise penetration by about 20 dB. Even if there are no sound-absorbing materials in the structure, wooden doors will be considered soundproof.

Achieving complete sound insulation is possible in the case of a minimum gap from the box to the canvas. As an example, there are structures that have a double rebate with a protruding groove and a layer of polymer sealant.

Advantages and disadvantages

Sound retention is not the only purpose of noise-insulating products, they are endowed with a number of related functions:

  1. Prevents corrosion of structures. Thanks to the insulating filling, the interior doors are protected from the growth of mold and other pathogens.
  2. Strengthening the structure.
  3. Thermal insulation of the room. Almost all soundproofing fillers retain heat by closing cold bridges and preventing drafts.

Installing such a door will allow you to solve several problems at the same time.

How to choose

When choosing doors, it is important to pay attention to the following characteristics:

  • material;
  • structure door leaf;
  • facing elements;
  • thickness of the structure.

The most the best material for the manufacture of silent interior doors is wood. So, a wooden array of an interior door leaf is able to drown out external sounds of 10-15 dB. When using shields with an internal cavity, the opposite effect is possible - the resonance of sounds will begin, which will lead to an increase in the penetration of noise into the room.

To solve this problem, it is advisable to use special filler materials. In a similar way, the noise insulation of plastic or metal structures, the purpose of which is not intended to provide silence.

As an additional protective means you can apply metal foil with a soft backing. Such a sandwich reflects sound waves well and does not allow them to penetrate inside.

If the installation of metal doors is a prerequisite, then sound insulation is performed not only with an internal filler, but also external cladding for aesthetic appearance products. Any kind of wood trim looks attractive - solid wood, MDF, lining. Craftsmen often make faux leather upholstery, which will look good against the background of the interior and reduce the noise level.

Features of the choice by the way of opening

The level of noise protection depends on the type of door structure. A plastic door is considered to be the worst soundproof construction. Roller shutters with aluminum (wooden, plastic) slats do not cope with this task. Also, do not rely on sliding ones, the accordion is not able to absorb sound.

How to do it yourself

You can make high-quality sound insulation of an interior door yourself, for this it is sheathed with acoustic materials stuffed with filler so that there are no cracks and gaps. All work is done simply, you just need to follow the suggested instructions:

  1. Upholstery material. Can be used natural leather, leatherette, vinyl and other similar products. Special boards with an adhesive layer are well suited, which makes them easy to stick to the canvas.
  2. Filling: batting, synthetic winterizer, foam rubber. For fire safety purposes, experts recommend using mineral wool, which absorbs extraneous noise and does not support combustion.
  3. All cracks in the box and walls are filled with sealant.
  4. Upholstery with a soft sound-absorbing pad is nailed onto one or both parts of the canvas.
  5. Bonding the seal. The material should not fall into the gap, it serves to close it. A minimum distance should be maintained from the web to the sealing tape - no more than 10 mm.
  6. Installation of a sill or seal to the bottom of the doors.

Thus, do-it-yourself soundproofing of interior doors will help get rid of extraneous sounds in the room. However, the doors will not be able to provide complete silence, for this it will be necessary to additionally work on the walls, ceiling, floor and windows.

Interior doors, as the name suggests, are designed to separate rooms from each other, to delimit space. However, in addition to aesthetics, they must provide sufficient soundproofing.

If ambient noise from the street interferes with your concentration, you may need to replace balcony door for a model with increased sound insulation.

Comfortable for humans the volume is considered to be 30-50 dB, large indicators are annoying. The task of windows and doors is to maintain a comfortable noise level in the room, not to let loud sounds enter the room.

Sound insulation of doors is regulated by several regulatory documents: GOST 26602.3-99 “Window and door blocks. Method for determining sound insulation "; SNiP II-12-77 "Protection against noise"; SNiP 2.08.01-89 "Residential buildings". So, in living rooms In apartments, the noise level should be no more than 30 decibels (dB), and, for example, in sales areas of shops and airport lounges - no more than 60 dB.

Classification of doors

Different types of doors provide different sound insulation. Plastic ones are the worst at dampening external noise. Low and soundproofing properties of doors operating on the principle of roller shutters, which consist of a set of aluminum (less often wooden or plastic) slats.

Folding interior doors provide perhaps the least sound insulation possible.

The absorption of sound by panel doors largely depends on their design. Made according to old technologies (frame made of wooden slats sheathed sheet materials similar fiberboard or MDF) poorly absorb sounds, since they have many voids. In some cases, the noise is even amplified (resonator effect).

Total soundproofing. It is not necessary to install soundproof doors in all rooms. Choose exactly those parts of the room where you really need to protect yourself from noise: a bedroom, a children's room, a study, a music studio ...

Modern technologies for the manufacture of panel doors involve filling the internal volume with cardboard, laid like a honeycomb - we get doors with better sound insulation... Compared to wood, cardboard itself is less resilient and less prone to sound transmission.

If you are planning to use the doors from aluminum profile, you should remember about its high sound conductivity. But it occupies about 10-15% of the door area, so the contribution of the profile itself to the sound-insulating properties of the door is small. Filling is more important. If it is a single glass, the achieved sound insulation of the doors will be very low. Another thing is a double-glazed window (two, three or more glasses with air spaces between them) or a sandwich panel, which consists of a foam material (polystyrene, expanded polystyrene, etc.), lined with plastic. The indicators of a single-chamber double-glazed unit (of 2 glasses) and a sandwich panel are quite high, and of a two-chamber unit (of 3 glasses) are almost ideal for most rooms in the house.

Sound insulation of sliding doors is lower than swing doors, if only because of the gap that inevitably exists between the sliding doors.

Solid hardwoods have good performance. After all, other things being equal, the heavier the door, the better protection from the noise it provides. However, in any case, the sound insulation of interior doors is low: the existing noise level is reduced by 10-20 dB.

The use of double rebated doors is very effective. Canvas with outside has protruding edges (folds, or "overlap"), which are additionally pressed against the plane of the box, most often in combination with a polymer seal.

Two doors. An interior door with improved soundproofing properties can be too expensive. Or, in its appearance, it can stand out from the general interior design. In this case, it is recommended to install two standard doors with a small air gap between them. Air also acts as a sound insulator.

Noise protection

If you need to equip a recording studio at home (which requires silence) or, conversely, you like to play musical instruments and do not want to disturb your neighbors, you will have to pay attention to the special doors. Look for the marking according to SNiP II-12-77 "Protection against noise". He specifically stipulates that specialized soundproof doors must absorb at least 26 dB (for example, on the outside, the noise level is 50 dB, and inside the room - no more than 24 dB).
Such doors are no different from ordinary ones outwardly. The finishing of the canvas can be any. Special properties are achieved due to internal device that resembles a layer cake. The canvas is glued from fiberboard, chipboard or MDF with interlayers of mineral wool and sound-absorbing plastic. Number of layers in doors different manufacturers may vary. This technology can reduce the noise level by 27-42 dB. In addition to the special design of the door leaf, such doors are equipped with special frames with thresholds.

On the picture:

Examples of interior doors on a metal frame.

There are two types of soundproof boxes: metal and chipboard. They are made in the form of a hollow profile, and to reduce the penetration of sound, they are filled with concrete (for metal box) or polyurethane foam.

The smaller the gap between the leaf and the door frame, the better. According to the rules, its value should be no more than 1 cm. To prevent sounds from penetrating through the cracks along the perimeter of the canvas, use a seal - a rubber profile hollow cord, like that what is used for plastic windows... It also increases thermal insulation.

Make sure that the leaf fits snugly to the platbands: any gap is a loss in the sound-insulating properties of the door.

To reduce the noise level from under the door, a sill is installed. In addition to the usual wooden, plastic and metal, there are special heat-insulating thresholds made of combined materials, complemented by a brush seal. The threshold must be at the doors of toilets, bathrooms (these are requirements not only for sound, but also for waterproofing the room). In all other cases, if you do not want to stumble over it, you can limit yourself to installing an inconspicuous brush seal in the bottom end of the door.

DIY soundproofing

You can also "modify" an ordinary door, sheathing it on one or two sides with appropriate acoustic materials: upholstery on a fabric basis, natural or artificial leather, dermantine, vinyl leather in combination with a soft filler (batting, synthetic winterizer, foam rubber). To increase the fire resistance of the door, it is recommended to use mineral wool as a filling. Simple paneling of the door with a wooden lath will help to improve sound absorption.

Do not forget about the possibility of installing two doors sequentially one after the other. The two most common models will give more effect than one special soundproof door.

Remember that installing the proper door and frame alone will not solve the soundproofing problem. A set of measures should be taken to isolate the entire room: ceiling, walls, floor, windows.

Coming home after a hard day, we want to relax and enjoy the silence. But this is not always possible: sometimes the noise from the street or from neighboring apartments is very intrusive. To protect yourself from intrusive sounds and ensure a comfortable stay at home, you need to soundproof your home. Soundproof doors will help with this.

Why do you need sound insulation in an apartment?

Soundproofing is the reduction of the amount of noise that enters the home. It is achieved by sealing walls, windows, ceilings and doors. The noise level is specified in decibels. This characteristic established by state standards and measured with a special device.

It is impractical to install soundproof doors in an apartment if the windows and walls do not have such properties. If you nevertheless decide to protect yourself from noise, then this should be done from all sides.

Soundproofing your home can help you relax, relieve stress, and protect your nervous system from negative influences. Such doors are especially relevant for children's rooms. They will provide your little ones with a calm and comfortable rest.

In addition to smoothing out noise, soundproof doors perform a number of related functions:

  • Anti-corrosion. The insulating filler prevents the development of mold in the sashes of interior doors.
  • Durability. Since "quiet" doors require additional reinforcement, this strengthens their structure. Makes it heavier and more resilient.
  • Keeping warm. Most noise-suppressing materials have thermal insulation properties... They eliminate drafts, restrain the penetration of cold into the apartment.

Thus, by purchasing soundproof doors, you get a few more pleasant bonuses.

Types and materials

Conventional doors are capable of withstanding noise levels up to 30 dB. But if there is a need to improve the soundproofing properties of a door block, soundproofed doors come to the rescue.

Externally, soundproofed models are similar to standard ones, but inside them there are layers of soundproofing material. This could be:

  • Sintepon- rather soft fiber, characterized by high durability. For good sound insulation, it is arranged in several layers;
  • Polystyrene has good soundproofing properties. Release form: granules, sheets or liquid;
  • Mineral wool- fire-resistant material, but capable of absorbing moisture and shrinking over time;

  • Foam rubber- the cheapest raw material, most often used for the door leaf;
  • Splen or acoustic foam. The sound wave, penetrating into it, is lost and does not find a way out. It is glued to the surface with a sticky layer, which provides it with a tight fit;
  • Izolon is also a derivative of foam rubber, but significantly benefits against its background;

  • Styrofoam protects well against noise, but has low fire-resistant qualities. Not the most suitable option;
  • Foamed polyurethane- good soundproofing sheet. Has a high resistance to fire;
  • Vibration filter- multilayer material, which includes bitumen and aluminum foil. Provides tightness, as due to its elasticity it adheres tightly to the surface. This increases its soundproofing ability.

In addition to ready-made soundproofed doors, there are types of soundproofing with which you can independently supplement your usual entrance accessories:

  • Lay the above-mentioned insulating fillers inside the canvas;
  • Install additional panels that are attached to the main canvas. It can be fiberboard, MDF, laminate, lining, leatherette;
  • Establishment of the second door. At the same time, not only the additional canvas, but also the air space between the doors will help to reduce the level of noise entering the apartment.

Additional soundproofing methods

Also, such simple devices will help to increase the effect of noise isolation:

  • Automatic threshold: A magnetic strip is installed in the floor. When the door is closed, it connects to the metal strip in the door itself, which ensures an airtight closure.
  • Door frame. If it is made of metal, then with inside the box is poured with concrete. If made of chipboard, it is used polyurethane foam... The goal is to reduce the gaps between the opening and the frame. According to the standards, their size is allowed up to 1 cm.
  • Sealant located around the perimeter of the doorway. It also achieves hermetic closing of doors. The most used are:

  • rubber bands or pipes;
  • foam rubber (soft yellow tape);
  • isolone ( white, in terms of density higher than foam rubber);
  • silicone contour;
  • magnetic (provides the greatest tightness).

Almost all seals are equipped with an adhesive base, thanks to which they are fixed to the door. The exception is silicone, which is attached with a plastic rib. A gasket is the lightest and most effective option for enhancing the sound insulation of doors.

Standards

First of all, soundproof apartment doors are designed to inhibit the passage of sound from the street to the apartment.

There are the following types of noise:

  • Airy: is born in the atmosphere and through sound waves passes through an obstacle;
  • Impact: formed as a result of any manipulation (rearrangement of furniture, jumping). It is measured with a "top" machine.

State standards insulation standards have been established for both noise categories.

It is worth mentioning the classes of houses, since each category has its own norms:

  • Class A: superior comfort;
  • Class B: comfort of existence;
  • Class B: Acceptable Conditions.

The suppression of airborne noise is carried out not only by doors, entrance and interior, but also by surfaces of other structures. A special term for sound insulating capacity has been introduced. It characterizes only one design.

It is measured in decibels and is determined by the insulation index:

  • class A room - 54 dB;
  • class B room - 52 dB;
  • class B room - 50 dB.

The impact noise index of an apartment and interior door is:

  • class A room - 55 dB;
  • class B room - 58 dB;
  • class B room - 60 dB.

Noise isolation levels

Noise is a rather unpleasant sound to hear. It irritates the nervous system and is able to unbalance. A person reacts calmly to sounds in the range of 25-60 dB. When exposed to high sound waves of 90 dB for a sufficiently long time, nervous disorders in the form of insomnia and neuroses can develop. At a sound of 100 dB, a person can become deaf.

To protect yourself from extraneous negative influences, choose doors with good sound insulation for your home. They are of the first level and advanced.

The first class includes doors that are able to protect against a noise flow of 32 dB. In comparison, the sound wave of a conversation is 45 dB. Reinforced structures withstand noise levels of 40 dB or more. It all depends on the material of construction.

Doors made using sandwich technology have good soundproofing properties, that is, they have several layers of sound-absorbing material. Plus, on the outside, such products are sheathed in the form of MDF or leatherette panels.

How to choose the right one?

First, decide what you need to isolate. If it comes about the door for the house, then here, perhaps, the option of its independent sound insulation is suitable. The thing is that, according to the standards, the door structure must withstand 26 dB. Thus, if outside the noise level is 60 dB, then 34 dB penetrates into the room. And a sound wave from 25 to 50 dB is considered comfortable for a person. Therefore, for such sound insulation, it will be enough to independently lay an insulating material or reinforce the door upholstery, install a seal or a sealed threshold.

If we are talking about a specialized room (recording studio), then it is better to purchase a ready-made model. Today, manufacturers offer a fairly wide range of noise-resisting interroom doors. Outside, they, like ordinary door structures, can be finished chipboard canvases, MDF or laminate. But the inside must necessarily contain several layers of insulating filler.

Good reviews about sound insulation properties are received by wooden doors made of oak or pine. Fire protection models also help to reduce the penetration of sound. Their heat insulator is able to suppress sound up to 45 dB.

Separately, it is worth talking about room doors... It is not necessary to install all soundproofing interior doors in the apartment. It is enough to choose several rooms where it is really necessary. This could be a bedroom or a children's room.

A modern apartment is always full of sounds and noises, which can be caused by busy traffic, traffic outside the window or loud music, or the work of household appliances. The use of soundproofing and noise-absorbing wall coverings alone is not enough; to reduce the level of discomfort, it will be necessary to install soundproof doors. Select suitable model not as easy as in the case of the selection of armored or insulated options. It is more difficult to assess the sound insulation characteristics of doors than to measure the thickness of metal or insulation, so you have to rely only on common sense and the recommendations of specialists.

Requirements for the construction of a soundproof door

The most common misconception regarding the sound insulation characteristics of a door leaf concerns the thickness and density of the material; it is believed that the most massive and heavy door leaves have the best sound insulation properties. This is only partly true, but a high material density is not the only condition for good noise absorption.

It is important that soundproof interior doors meet several additional criteria:

  • The thickness of the sheet is not less than 48-50 mm, thinner sheets of pressed laminated cardboard, plastic or wood fibers do not have the necessary soundproofing qualities to reduce noise to a level of sound comfort of 20-22 dB;
  • In construction door frame and the soundproof door leaf must be provided with rebates or double bolster with additional sound sealing, preventing the propagation of a sound wave through the cracks and joints in the door frame;
  • The lower edge of soundproof interior doors is always equipped with either a guillotine or brush seal... The size of the gap between the floor and the lower edge of the door leaf can reach 10-15 mm, and without a seal it is quite difficult to achieve high sound insulation characteristics;
  • Use of additional soundproofing strips for door awnings and hinges. Metal conducts sound very well, so all metal fittings must be shielded.

For your information! When choosing soundproof doors, you need to pay attention to the noise insulation coefficient, the noise absorption standard is 30-35 dB.

The more materials with high density and elasticity are used in the construction of soundproof doors, the worse things are with blocking noises and sounds. For example, the most massive, with the thickest door leaf, Entrance door made of metal has not the best soundproofing characteristics.

Even laying a layer of mineral wool inside the frame allows you to reduce the pressure of the sound wave by a maximum of 10-12 dB, that is, two times. The reason for the low sound insulation characteristics is that in armored and steel doors there are a large number of steel ribs and lintels, which, with any layer of mineral wool, will work as a kind of sound bridges that let noise into the room.

Manufacturers are taking a more radical step - for the manufacture of soundproof entrance doors, the inner space of the steel frame was sheathed with a layer of polyethylene foam. As a result, it is possible to improve the parameters of soundproofing protection by 12-15 dB, and when using decorative overlays from MDF, you can achieve 17-20 dB, however, with an increase in the thickness of the doors by 3-4 cm.

One of the popular ways to make from ordinary doors soundproofing has been known for a long time. The usual steel door or made of solid oak, it is enough to sheathe it with a dense fabric with a foam lining. In addition to improving thermal insulation, it is possible to reduce the noise threshold and achieve sound insulation characteristics at the level of a double door block.

Door frame installation method

To a large extent, the soundproofing properties of a door block with a frame and cladding depend on the method of fastening.

You can radically improve sound insulation performance by installing an internal wooden door cladding made of dense laminate with corrugated paper filling. You can use any interior door with a high level of noise and sound insulation resistance.

In theory, you can even install aluminum or plastic door of the usual type, this is not the point. The characteristics of the inner sheet do not particularly affect the ability to withstand noise and sound.

To double door possessed high soundproofing characteristics, three conditions must be met:

  • The size of the air gap in the vestibule between the doors must be at least two thicknesses of the outer door;
  • Outdoor and inner door without fail equipped with a soundproof seal;
  • The common door frame must be installed using soundproofing materials.

Most manufacturers of entrance and interior doors complete door frames with a set of suspensions and anchoring... This approach simplifies the installation of the door frame, but often degrades the sound insulation characteristics of the door unit.

In order for the soundproofing unit to fully resist noise, a more modern circuit is used. Firstly, the fastening of a wooden or MDF box to the doorway is carried out using silicone plugs and plastic dowels. Secondly, before foaming the slots, a thin strip of foil isolon is placed in the gap between the box and the wall, and the strip itself is additionally hung around the perimeter on a rubber or silicone cord. As a result, any vibration and shock noises absorbed at the entrance to the doorway.

Installation of soundproof doors

One of the disadvantages inherent in all types soundproof doors, is the increased thickness of the wood or cardboard sheet. Most of the standard models with increased soundproofing characteristics are made according to the scheme with a three-layer cloth, photo.

The door blank is made from three panels of low density particle board to obtain high sound insulation characteristics. The outer surface is veneered with MDF and covered with a wear-resistant laminate with imitation of the texture of valuable wood species. The box is made from chestnut or mahogany.

For your information! Such a canvas is called "FDB", produced in Belarus and, according to the manufacturer, is capable of providing very high sound insulation characteristics in the air at the level of 37 dB.

The only drawback is the high price of soundproof door blocks. The cost of one product is over 600 EUR. High noise insulation characteristics are achieved due to light cellulose fibers and an air gap. Truth, high level sound insulation is achieved by a significant increase in weight, the weight of the door leaf with a thickness of 43 mm reaches 40 kg.

Budget models of soundproof doors

Cheaper door blocks with improved soundproofing characteristics are made according to the traditional scheme:

  • The frame of the door leaf is made of pine timber;
  • External cladding - 8 mm thick MDF panels;
  • A honeycomb filler with a curved surface is installed inside the doors.

The honeycomb can be filled with expanded polystyrene granules, cellulose and mineral fibers. As a result, the noise-insulating sheet at a cost of about 100 EUR provides a noise reduction of 22 dB.

Imported analogs of Turkish and Polish production use silicate glass granules and a gas-forming agent as backfill. Such door leaves, in addition to high sound insulation characteristics, have increased resistance to heat.

Information about the nature of the filler and noise insulation characteristics must be included in the quality certificate for the product.

Doors with special soundproofing characteristics

As interior doors with an increased level of insulation, you can use a conventional metal-plastic model with a glass unit. Despite the use of aluminum and plastic, materials with low noise-insulating qualities, a double-glazed sheet can provide a noise reduction by 20 dB, and a three-chamber one by 22-25 dB.

The option of a metal-plastic interior door block is very convenient for rooms with a high sound and temperature load. This can be a doorway to the balcony, on open terrace or exit to the corridor.

For special cases, when the noise level exceeds 50-60 dB, experts recommend ordering the manufacture of a door leaf for doors according to individual project... Doors with high noise protection are made with the installation of three to four layers of a roll-on sound absorber. For example, it can be a compressed silicon fiber soundproofing mat. Sound insulation level is 45 dB, resistance to open flame front up to 20 minutes. The material does not cake and does not lose its characteristics over 20 years of operation.

Conclusion

One of the most effective ways to ensure a high noise insulation performance is considered to be installed on the door leaf. hinged panel made of foam materials. A thin material of only 5 mm can improve the insulation of a conventional interior block by 40%. Porous rubber is finished with PVC film with the texture of wood, plastic or any other format, as a result appearance the door block remains virtually unchanged, and the noise resistance is enhanced.
