To prevent the upper beam from being squeezed out with foam, its position can be fixed with a self-tapping screw. Or insert a 3 mm thick gasket over one of the doors and leave it for the foam to dry.

After making sure that the doors are exactly relative to each other, the gaps are observed and everything is in order, we foam the seams.

Swing doors are different in design and the list of materials used. They really do open up. A block of such doors is made up of a door frame, which is fixed in the doorway of the wall, as well as one or more canvases that are hung on the box.

The design of the door leaf, which is made up of solid wood, can consist of both different breeds, and from a single piece. If the door is made from different types of wood, then the pieces of the species must be carefully selected in accordance with the technical and operational properties in the process of manufacturing the leaf. Most often in a residential interior paneled doors are used. They can be both deaf and equipped with glazing panels. In addition, the glass of the panels can be reinforced, patterned or transparent. Swinging canvases are an exception. For safety reasons, they should only be provided with transparent glasses.

Mesonite doors are made from pressed wood. In such wood, the fractions should be finely dispersed. Mesonite doors are quite strong and durable. The front surface is finished with veneer of valuable species.

Relatively recently, plastic doors appeared in the interior. They are characterized by lightness, unlimited colors and modern design. The porch of the door leaf of the plastic door is rounded. Consequently, the door is devoid of traditional ribs. The plastic door has additional advantages: the possibility of opening in both directions and the visible absence of door hinges. Such doors are either painted or finished with a stretch of 2-3 layers of plastic.

Elite doors are made only to order. However, cheaper versions of them can be purchased in stores. In the process of buying a door, you should consider that the size doorway should slightly exceed the dimensions of the door. Therefore, during installation, a gap of 2-2.5 cm should remain between the wall and the box. This gap can subsequently be cemented or filled with heat and sound insulating material.

When installing the door frame, use a plumb line and square. First, the emphasis is placed on the door - a bar that is inside the box. It will prevent the door from turning after it is closed. After that, nests for door hinges are cut. Now you can hang the door and install the trim. Lastly, work is carried out on decorative frame boxes and plastering uneven edges of the wall around the opening.

Most of this work can be avoided by purchasing prefabricated doors. Such doors are equipped with a door stop ready for installation and a ready-made door frame. Also in the kit you will find a locking bar and hinges. The door architraves are already cut at an angle of 45 degrees.

The doors are installed in place after the plaster is done or after the plastered wall has dried. However, the door must be installed before laying the floor covering and installing the skirting boards. Before starting work, you should decide in which direction the door will open. The door frame is installed depending on this solution. It is best if the door opens towards the exit from the house or apartment. Such exits should be considered even balconies and loggias.

Before installing the door frame, you need to assemble the side and top straps. After that, you can install the box in doorway. In order to install the frame, three parts of the door frame should be laid on the floor. Then the door stop is installed. Nails are used to connect the top and side rails. The nails must be round in cross section.

In the same way, the left and upper trims are installed. Between the two side rails at the bottom of the door frame, a 5 x 2.5 cm plank is nailed so that they remain parallel during the entire time the door is installed. Now you need to install the assembled door frame in the doorway and carefully place it in the center. You need to make sure that all elements maintain a strict rectangularity. The perpendicularity of the elements and the verticality of the installation are also checked. Check the horizontality of the upper trim using a level, square or plumb line. If necessary, seal to align the door frame in the required areas.

To properly install and secure the door frame, it is necessary in places where it will come into contact with the wall, put pieces of plywood under it. Now again check the verticality of the side elements. Attach the box with 6.5 cm nails without a head to the reinforcing bars (if the wall is made of wood). If the wall is stone, then screws should be used instead of nails. Remove the nailed bar and recheck the horizontality of the top trim. Correct its position if necessary.

The height of a standard door is 1981 mm. The width of such a door can be different. It depends on the standards of the manufacturing country.

Factory doors come with hinges already attached to the door frame. To hang the door, it is necessary to separate the fastened parts of the hinges and install them in previously prepared places. In the process of performing this operation, it is necessary to disassemble the hinges, remove the axles, and then screw the corresponding parts of the hinges into the recesses that are cut into the door. In order to install the door in the door frame on the hinges, it is necessary to put linings under it. After that, parts of the hinges are installed and the axles are inserted into their places. If necessary, you can adjust the stop bar. Consequently, smoother closing and opening of the door will be provided.

To complete the installation, platbands must be nailed around the door frame. To do this, install the upper element of the platbands above the door, then check this element for horizontality and nail it with nails 4 cm long. The nails should be oval in cross section. The first nail should be hammered in at a distance of 7.5 cm from the corner. After that, the next nail is driven in at the same distance from the other corner. Between the corners, the nails should be 15 cm apart from each other. The side elements are nailed to the frame. The correctness of the joining of their ends is checked. Endings, of course, should be beveled at an angle of 45 degrees. The endings must carefully fit to the top of the platbands. The side elements are nailed starting from the top. The same operations are repeated for the other side of the door. After that, it remains only to equip doorknobs in the corresponding holes.

Installing a door in a wall frame made of beams has some features. So, if a passage is to be provided in the partition frame, then at least one vertical beam must be removed from the frame. In place of this beam, it is necessary to mount a rigid supporting structure, which is called a door frame. Therefore, the doorway will be limited by a pair of vertical bars. These bars should be nailed on the inside. The box is limited from above by a short cross member. The crossbar is nailed between the reinforcing bars. It is also called the top harness. short bars, which are fixed between the ceiling bar and the top trim, will serve as a support for the dry plaster, which will be nailed over the door.

It is recommended to start the installation of the box by mounting two ordinary bars, which are far enough apart from each other. After that, it is necessary to equip all parts of the frame and the door: a seal around the perimeter with a thickness of 6 mm, two reinforcing beams with a width of 5 cm and a door assembly. Reinforcing bars should be applied to outside each outer beam of the opening. Press the outer beam with your foot. Nail the second beam to it with nails 10 cm long (the nails must have a round section). Hammer nails every 40 cm.

In order to install the upper harness, it is necessary to cut off a bar with a section of 10 x 5 cm. The length of this bar should be equal to the distance between the reinforcing bars. Set the bar in place with a gap of 6 mm. This gap will also serve as a seal over the door. Nail the bar to the vertical bars with nails with a round section 10 cm long. Hammer the nails from above and below along the ends of the bar.

Then install the props. To do this, cut the bars of such a length that is equal to the distance between the upper trim and the ceiling beam. Nail the supports with nails 10 cm long (round section) to the reinforcing bars. To complete the doorway, after the wall is in place, cut off that part of the floor beam that is located between the inner sides of the auxiliary reinforcing beams. The door frame, when installed, must be in accordance with exact dimensions door leaf.

Changing the height of the door leaf
