Make a large flowerpot for giving. DIY flowerpots for giving

Do you love flowers very much? fertile land little house? Nothing, there is a way out. We will learn how to make street flowerpots, and the lack of free space will not become an obstacle to the realization of your fantastic ideas.

Flowerpots for the street - in harmony with the site

Outdoor flowerpots should look harmonious. Important role their shape plays: in one version, strict geometric outlines look good, in the other - unusual, extravagant ones. Even beautiful flowers in an inexpressive dish do not attract the eye.

Dimensions are selected according to the size of the site. A small area requires flowerpots of the same size. A large container in such a situation looks bulky, intrusive, it dominates the space. There is no feeling of comfort and harmony. Small pots are enough large space get lost, become invisible. You need to find the right ratio.

Outdoor flowerpots of large sizes are installed directly on the ground of the site where there is more free space. In cramped courtyards, especially urban ones, where every centimeter is taken into account, it is more convenient to place flowers in small hanging pots, or on inconspicuous stands. Entrance groups colors are placed, depending on the size, on stands, pedestals, right on the ground.

In pursuit of beauty, manufacturers of street flowerpots sometimes decorate them so that the flowers remain invisible. We should not forget that the main thing in the picture is not the frame. Of course, containers for plants should be beautiful, attract attention, but should not be intrusive. They only emphasize the beauty of flowers. Therefore, white, beige, cream, terracotta, brown, pastel, delicate shades are preferable for flowerpots.

Wood - simple and affordable for use

Wood for the street is not very suitable: rain and snow reduce its life, but it is available and easy to work with. Without protective treatment, the surface will soon turn gray and begin to rot. It is better not to use paint, but to use stain, which will show the texture of wood, emphasize its beauty. After staining, cover the product with a transparent varnish.

From lumber, boards and beams are used. We cut the blanks of the required length and put together a box from them. From contact with the ground wooden box will soon start to rot. To prevent this from happening, we raise it on legs. The simplest option is four boards in the corners. If there is imagination and skills, we make them figured. We don’t fit the boards very tightly: on the street they will begin to swell, expand, but also large cracks we do not leave the earth not to wake up.

If slats are used as a frame, they serve as legs at the same time. We cut off four identical pieces, to which we attach the side boards and the bottom. So that the nails do not split the wood, we drill holes 1-2 mm narrower than their diameter at the place of attachment. Instead of boards, you can use thick moisture-resistant plywood. Fasten everything better with self-tapping screws. Under them, we also drill holes in plywood and slats at the same time, stepping back from the edge of 1 cm. Beautiful legs come out of metal corners, especially stainless steel.

If you have a 6x6 timber or so, you can make beautiful flowerpots out of it. Their dimensions depend on the strength of the rails. For example, the desired height is 8 bars: 48 cm. Length - 1.5 m, width - 0.6 m. We cut 16 long bars of different lengths: 8 by 1.5 meters, 8 more minus the double thickness of the bars - 150- 16 \u003d 138 cm. Short ones are cut off according to the same principle - 8 by 60 cm, another 8 - by 48 cm.

We lay two long beams of 1.5 m each on a flat area, between them - two short ones of 48 cm each, check the presence right angle. On top of the bars we fix the bottom. If it is made of waterproof plywood, a dozen self-tapping screws are required, if from boards, we screw each one or nail it. As in the previous case, we drill holes for screws and nails. Turn it upside down and continue working.

We build up the design. We lay out the next 4 bars in a different way: longitudinal - those that are shorter, lateral - those that are longer. We fasten them in the corners to those bars below. We additionally strengthen the long sides in the middle with one or two nails. We lay out the third row like the first and then alternate the arrangement of the bars until we reach the top. All wooden flowerpots can be combined in one design with a bench. Install it in any suitable place garden or at the entrance.

Regardless of the material and size of the flowerpots, do not forget about the drainage holes in the bottom: we make one or more, focusing on the size of the container.

Stumps and decks - a little imagination does not hurt

Stumps and trunks remain on the site from old trees, which can be put into action. It is not necessary to uproot the stumps: if they do not interfere, we plant flowers in them. Align the top with a chainsaw, outline the contours of the container. We take an electric drill with a pen drill, drill holes in diameter and in the middle. A depth of up to 20 cm is enough. Then a hammer and a chisel come into play, with which we destroy the walls. We clean inside, we fall asleep the earth.

We cut logs of various lengths from the trunk: for vertical installation - up to 40 cm, for horizontal arrangement - at our discretion. In the stumps cut for vertical installation, we select the middle, as in the previous case. With a long deck laid on the ground, it will be more difficult. We outline the contours and make longitudinal and lateral cuts with a saw. Next - a drill, a chisel. We carefully treat the internal cavity with an antiseptic using a paint brush.

If there is a half-rotted trunk, we use it for a flowerpot. We cut to length and select the core using the previous technology. It is easier to work with such a trunk than with a living tree. It starts to rot from the middle, and the sidewall is still strong enough. To extend the life of a half-decayed trunk, we treat the inner cavity with machine oil or special oil for wood. We do not remove the bark on flowerpots from stumps and trunks, with it they are much more beautiful.

Old barrel - an amazing transformation

If there is an old wooden barrel, this is an almost finished flowerpot. Cut across - you get two containers for flowers. If you need a bottom, cut it out of waterproof plywood. Perhaps another hoop is needed to strengthen it. We make it from a steel strip, grab it by welding and stuff it onto a barrel. It is important not to make a mistake with the diameter.

We perform a longitudinal section using one of the methods proposed below, but in any case, the boards will have to be further strengthened. You can cut the barrel into two equal parts. In order to fasten them together later, we first cut out two circles from thick plywood along the diameter of the bottom. We cut each circle in two, use it to connect the cooper's staves - the boards that make up the barrel. They are fitted to each other, so before disassembling the barrel, we number each plank. We fasten them with self-tapping screws to plywood semicircles. We cut the hoops in half and also screw them to the boards with screws. They will slightly strengthen the structure and at the same time perform a decorative function.

Another option: we cut out several boards in the barrel, but not completely, but stepping back from each edge not far from the hoops or next to them on the side that faces the middle. Cut boards should be reinforced. We screw them to the bottom, but this is not enough. We fasten to the hoops: it is enough to drill holes in them and tighten the rivets with self-tapping screws. If there is no cooperage barrel, we do something similar. We cut out two semicircles, attach thin narrow boards or slats to them, and also additionally fix them to the hoops. The main thing here is to fit the boards well.

If the wood is alive, it is enough to cover it with an antiseptic, stain and varnish. Old boards are pre-treated with sandpaper. We clean rusty hoops from rust - we remove only delaminations. Then cover with a layer of engine oil or clear varnish.

Plastic - is it easy to work with?

In construction, sheet foam is widely used, from which wonderful flowerpots are obtained. We take scraps of dense foam or buy it. When planning the dimensions, remember that the foam is not very strong: a high and voluminous structure will not withstand the weight of the earth and flowers. It is better to use a special construction knife with changing blades: they are narrow and sharp. We glue the finished parts together.

Next, we strengthen the structure. Cut from plaster construction mesh(non-metal) pieces on the inside and external dimensions with a slight overhang. We stir the purchased mortar, apply the mesh to the surface and apply a layer of plaster to glue the mesh to the foam. When it seizes, we level it with sandpaper and again apply a layer of plaster. We process the dried layer with sandpaper.
The foam product resembles concrete in appearance. You can leave it like that, or you can paint or apply drawings. From the outside, decorative elements can be applied. We cut out various figures (geometric or others) from the foam plastic and glue them even before reinforcing the mesh. V ready mix you can add dyes or buy with the ones already in it.

Concrete flowerpots - we make a form and prepare the fill

Durable and beautiful flowerpots are made of concrete. To fill it in, a form is required. It is made from any materials: boards, plywood, tin, fibreboard, cardboard. A form that is deteriorating from moisture must be protected. We glue the cardboard with adhesive tape, put the film in the form of fiberboard or also glue it. It is important that the structure withstand 4–5 hours, then moisture will no longer be released from the solution. It makes no sense to make a large form out of cardboard: it will not withstand the pressure of the concrete solution on the walls.

Various containers made of plastic and metal are suitable. Since two forms are needed for pouring (external and internal), we select them from different sizes: large and small. Well, if they are similar, they differ only in size, but this is not necessary. For the inside, we use any dishes that are slightly smaller.

We make the solution ourselves from pure river sand and cement in a ratio of 1:3. Finished products will come out a little rough and gray. If desired, add a coloring pigment to the solution. It is better to buy ready-made mixtures, known as decorative, architectural, artistic concrete, acrylic, polymer, art. They contain polymer or stone additives, and some contain dyes. Surfaces come out even, smooth, attractive, thanks to inclusions. The photo below shows some types of architectural concrete.

Filling the solution - sequential steps

Before stirring the mixture, prepare the form. In order to later be able to separate the concrete product from it, we lubricate them with machine oil: the outer form from the inside, the inner form from the outside. Don't forget about drainage. In the forms we make holes into which we insert pipe segments. To remove them later, also lubricate with oil. Knead by gradually adding water. We achieve such a consistency that it does not fly off the shoulder blade, but it is not too thick, like plasticine.

Let's start filling:

  1. 1. Pour a layer of mortar of the required thickness onto the bottom, put the inner mold on it. If it is light, we make it heavier - we fill it with sand.
  2. 2. Gradually fill the space between the walls. To spread the mixture in a uniform layer without air voids, we use a steel rod and a hammer.
  3. 3. We insert the rod to the bottom and swing it to the sides: air leaves the solution, it settles. But if the material allows, at the same time we tap on the walls with a hammer.
  4. 4. Filling out the form completely, align the top. Cover with foil and leave overnight.

Remove the film the next day. If the cast products are small and not too heavy, dip them completely into a container of water and leave for at least a week. If this is not possible, moisten abundantly with water three to four times a day until dark and cover with a film. After a week, the concrete will completely set. To be strong, besides good solution, we select a place for manufacturing in the shade, closed from sunlight. The air temperature should not be below 5 °, the best is 20 °.

To increase the strength of concrete, especially large-sized products, we use reinforcement of the bottom and walls with steel wire or metal plaster mesh.

You can leave the flowerpots as they are, especially from decorative concrete. Gray sand products are best decorated. Use pebbles, mosaics or pieces ceramic tiles. Apply tile adhesive and press in the finish. Remaining glue is immediately removed.

Car tires - how does the unnecessary serve beauty?

Original outdoor flowerpots come out of old tires that have become unusable. We use winter non-studded tires, it is softer and more pliable. The disk will also come in handy for the stand. Need sharp strong knife, jigsaw and soapy water. We draw the outline of the drawing - a line of any shape. If it is curly, we draw each fragment of the same size so that it comes out nice and neat.

Cut off the top side with a knife. For curly parts, it is better to use a jigsaw. So that the knife and jigsaw file do not jam, we moisten them with soapy water. Then we lay the tire with the cut down, the disk is inside, and we begin to turn the rubber inside out. The work is hard, but as you progress it gets easier. We process the cuts with a grinder to give them the perfect shape.

Wash the rubber, let it dry, degrease and cover with a primer. Then we paint with oil or enamel nitro paint. Fits good car paint in spray cans, one is enough for several tires. We paint not only from the outside, but also from the inside. We paint as fantasy tells: monophonically, in several colors, or we apply various patterns under the stencil.

These are not all ways to make flowerpots with your own hands from simple and affordable materials. Everything that is at hand can be used: old records, plastic bottles, shoes, buckets and the like. A little paint, decorative elements - and the old thing will be transformed.

Ennobling the site country house or cottages, you can use different techniques landscape design. Some people like rockeries, others just need to decorate the space with small details. Take at least a flowerpot: filled with flowering plants, it looks unique. At the same time, this product can be made by hand: we understand the intricacies of the process.

Kinds

A concrete flowerpot is a small decorative vase architectural form which can be made from different materials. This is a beautiful pot for plants and flowers. It helps gardeners in the cultivation of particularly sensitive plants, allows you to choose the optimal composition of the soil for each of them. Carries a flowerpot and a decorative load: through it you can arrange in a landscape space bright accents emphasizing the uniqueness of the garden.

Existing varieties are divided into several categories. Vases are:

  • street (garden);
  • room;
  • decorative.

Each type has its own characteristics, although in general the properties of the varieties are identical: the difference lies in the size, the material used in each case. For example, flower girls for summer cottages are often medium in size.

If the landscape space is large, you can use street varieties for flowers: they are larger, often higher, so the plants in them often hang down, creating an indescribable atmosphere of antiquity.

Decorative models are smaller, they are put up at the entrance, they are a kind of component to give the interior of the landscape the right atmosphere. Small size options are often moved, so they are mobile. Large models often resemble flower beds, differing in shallow depth.

materials

The main material in the creation of a flowerpot is concrete. This composition consists of:

  • crushed stone;
  • sand;
  • cement;
  • water;
  • special additives.

The binder component is Portland cement, which includes the clinker of the same name, gypsum, slag, ash, pozzolans and other mineral inclusions. Other varieties of Portland cement are expanded clay concrete (crushed stone is replaced with expanded clay), or sand concrete (different fraction sand performs the function of aggregates). Water for mixing the composition can be different: drinking, ground, technical, sea (not suitable for reinforced concrete flowerpots).

In addition to the main raw materials, auxiliary and decorative ones are used in the work. The first category includes improvised means with which you can make a flowerpot. These are a variety of items that can be used as a flowerpot shape, as well as a load that allows you to achieve the desired thickness of the product. Some of the most interesting and unexpected solutions include:

  • large and small empty food boxes;
  • used plastic bottles and buckets left after repair;
  • old basins, buckets, tubs;

  • latex gloves for cleaning (high density);
  • wooden boards, cardboard, dishes;
  • metal rods, wire;
  • old towels, rags or other fabric of a rectangular, square, round, oval shape;
  • old shoes, children's toys of the right size;
  • boxes of furniture that has fallen into disrepair.

Mostly small stones are used as a load: due to their size, they perfectly fill the internal part necessary to give the flowerpot a shape, and are also an oppression with a low weight. This raw material can be found in any garden or plot of a country house. If there are problems with finding it, you can use sand, which is also heavy with a small volume.

If there is no sand on the site, you can use part of the dry cement composition, hermetically packing it in several plastic bags before the workflow.

Decorative elements of a concrete vase depend on the stylistic idea. In the classic version, the flowerpot may not have decor at all: the bet can be placed on the unusual shape, because the abundance of decor does not always look harmoniously with flowers or other plants that will be in the flowerpot. The most interesting raw materials for finishing are glass, coins, small multi-colored pebbles, rhinestones, mirror fragments, stained glass and paints.

Creative connoisseurs use natural materials in their work, conveying the unique texture (for example, green leaves) of the concrete surface.

Sizes and shapes

The shape of the flowerpot today is not subject to any standards. It is not limited in size, a concrete flower vase can be:

  • small, resembling an ordinary flower pot;
  • medium size, being one of the identical products for flower arrangement;
  • large - a bright accent of the garden plot.

Dimensions at the same time vary from 20 cm and more. Some varieties can reach a length of more than 1 meter, a width of 60–120 cm.

The form of products is divided into the usual classic and non-standard. The first category includes concrete flowerpots of geometric shapes (round, square, rectangular, hexagonal, octagonal, oval varieties).

The second group cannot be confused with anything - flowerpots can be represented as:

  • silhouette of a fairy tale character;
  • parts of the sculpture (for example, it can be hands holding flowers);
  • couples of hearts different sizes;
  • openwork stone bowl;
  • corrugated vase;

  • stars with different amount ends and round base;
  • men's shoe, boot or elegant women's shoes;
  • a charming kitten, lamb or other animal;
  • wicker baskets with a long handle;
  • iris flower, lotus;
  • stylized as a magic totem.

At the same time, the complexity of creation may not lie in experience, but in lack of patience. Any product can be made independently at a professional level. The process means:

  • the availability of the necessary raw materials, finishes, sketches (for complex models);
  • preparation of a solution of the desired consistency;
  • compliance with process technology;
  • maintaining the prescribed time for drying the concrete base;
  • shape correction (for washed concrete options);
  • decorating or painting a flowerpot.

Necessary tools and mixtures

For the workflow that is carried out in the summer, you will not need so many materials if you decide in advance on the appearance, think over the raw materials, decor and frame. Depending on the specific case, cement, sand or a ready-made mixture is used. Water and composition should always be at hand: sometimes the composition is dense, so it needs to be brought to the desired consistency

In other cases, the mass should not spread, this is necessary for models that perform like sculpting.

If the sand is not homogeneous, a special sieve may be needed to work. Cement is preferable to choose at least M-400. Such a composition will fit well, will not cause difficulties in the process. In addition to it, you may need:

  • polyethylene film;
  • frame raw materials (what will serve as the basis or form);
  • ready-made stencils, anti-stencils;
  • gloves, spatula;
  • metal pipe (for drainage);
  • capacity for mixing concrete;
  • non-stick spray (VD-40 grease or engine oil);
  • paints and brushes, as well as a knife for cutting and adjusting the pattern.

Some home craftsmen even use the tile adhesive left after laying the wall or floor tiles. Due to perfectly balanced proportions and uniformity, such material mixes perfectly with other components without forming lumps.

Everyone chooses the finish on their own: it is enough to decorate the surface with pebbles of various shapes, leaving the dominant place of decor to live flowers. Others start work to demonstrate design skills, decorating the surface with carved ornaments, for example, in an Indian theme. At the same time, plants in this tandem look no less stylish.

How to do: step by step master class

Whatever model you conceive, the technology for its manufacture will follow approximately the same processes. The difference may lie in the number of steps: the more complex the product, the more steps. This is especially true for products that require molding. To analyze the essence of the work, consider the general technology, and then several options for making a stylish concrete flowerpot. This will allow you to understand why the steps in the master classes are different.

The solution is kneaded in a consistency, as for laying tiles: the mass does not spread, while it is not thick. If the composition is planned to be impregnated, it must be more liquid, otherwise it will not be able to completely impregnate the desired form. More often to give desired shape use two containers. One of them is filled with mortar, the other is inserted into the mortar and filled with oppression (heavy objects, sand) so that the concrete rises along the edges of the original form.

So that the cement can be separated from the main form, a large container chosen as the basis is treated inside with a lubricant. For this purpose, you can use plastic wrap, however, it is not always possible to straighten it perfectly, so production flaws can be visible on the finished product. The second form is treated with lubricant from the outside (in the place where it comes into contact with the solution). General instruction is:

  • concrete material is poured to the bottom of more capacity, while the average layer thickness should be 3–4 cm;
  • if necessary, the bottom layer is leveled with a spatula - then this will not work;
  • for drainage, insert chopped into small pieces metal pipe, treated on the outside with grease;
  • a smaller form is installed on metal segments, filled with sand or other cargo (gravel, crushed stone), prepared in advance;

  • after fixing the second container, the concrete mortar is poured between the forms, not forgetting to pierce it with a thin metal rod (so that there are no air bubbles left in it);
  • trim the upper edge of the future flowerpot with a spatula or an ordinary spoon;
  • the workpiece is covered with polyethylene and left for at least a day (until it dries completely);
  • after drying, all unnecessary elements are removed (if necessary, they are broken, if the structure has a metal frame, auxiliary parts are carefully removed);
  • flower girls are immersed in water for 1 week (large products are abundantly sprayed with water 4 times a day and covered with a film, repeating this for 10–14 days);
  • after the lapse of the necessary time, the flowerpots will remain to be decorated and painted.

If inserts into the surface are planned (for example, mirror fragments or stones), they are pressed into the material when the concrete is still pliable. The same applies to stencils: you need to press down the form at the moment the concrete hardens.

Let's go through the different types of production.

Flowerpot-sculpture

To make a charming flowerpot-cat, you will need 6 wooden supports (you can use the legs from old stools) and a plastic container for the body. The supports are fixed to the container by means of aluminum wire, constructing paws from 4, and the tail and head from the remaining two. Then the inner space of the flowerpot is finished with concrete, the outer space is sculpted. For the head, you can use any object of a round shape.

They work with the material gradually, otherwise the mass risks falling off the base. When the solution hardens, you need to sand the surface. Then it is necessary to paint the form in the color you like, giving the cat the original color. You can varnish the product on top.

From plastic containers

This method is the simplest. Used 5 liter bottles cut to desired height, then concrete is poured to the bottom. A round shape is often inserted inside, following the basic technology, filling it with sand in a bag or gravel. Some flowerpots, when solidified, have a finished relief pattern in the form of transverse stripes, left by a larger container. Others look original, differing in the curly shape of the edge.

From fabric

No less simple to manufacture is a flowerpot made of textiles or an old towel. To create it, you will need a container for kneading, a cloth, a bucket and a support. Everything is extremely simple here: the fabric is dipped into a concrete solution until completely impregnated, then hung on a bucket, put on a support. If necessary, you can immediately correct the edges of the future flowerpot by cutting them, or bending them to the sides, like flower petals, when the solution begins to solidify.

There can be a lot of options for fabrics, as well as the structure of the material: the flowerpot can turn out to be airy, openwork.

If you use towels, the drawing will have an original relief. Can be impregnated concrete mortar Different things. For example, it can be a regular woven bag with strings, a scarf, or old jeans.

Some people like paper (for example, the shape of a box): this material, after the solution hardens, takes on the original texture. Its production does not differ from the main technology. Moreover, the shape itself can be varied: the box can have concave, convex side faces, or asymmetry. The main rule of all materials is free access to the removal of used devices, otherwise it will be problematic to separate the workpiece from the base.

Finishing

Finishing a concrete flowerpot is a creative and exciting process. It is not enough to complete the form: it needs to be given an attractive appearance. To do this, concrete is often washed out, giving the surface a unique texture. Another finishing technique is interspersed different materials. The design can be very diverse: painting the product in bronze or gilding will give the product a vintage touch. The white type of surface will successfully fit into the garden interior, which has statues, or will be an independent accent of the site.

Landscaping a summer cottage area plays a huge role in its improvement, since even a small flower bed perfectly transforms the “bare” space. On the large areas today, in landscape design, entire architectural green "creations" are often found.

What to do to someone who has 5 acres in the country and those, almost all are busy, but you really want to green the landscape? In this case, you can arrange flower beds small sizes flowerpots with plants. It is about how to make outdoor flowerpots for flowers with your own hands that we will tell in this article.

Varieties of flowerpots

  • Indoor

Indoor flowerpots are divided into portable and standard, with simple and complex shapes. The material of manufacture can be the most diverse: polymer concrete, natural and artificial stone, wood.

  • street

Outdoor flowerpots are much larger than indoor ones, and they are located only on the street. They can be made both from plastic - a more economical material, and from polymer concrete - a more expensive option.

  • Decorative

Such flowerpots are especially relevant in those places where literally every centimeter of the plot counts. Very often, such flowerpots can be found in urban small courtyards.

  • For registration of entrance groups

This type is the most common, can be placed on poles, pedestals or just on the ground.

The shape and dimensions of flowerpots

Outdoor flowerpots should be in harmony with common style suburban area. In some versions, they will look more concise geometric shapes flowerpots, and somewhere specimens with unusual, extravagant notes will do. It should not be forgotten that in large areas, small flowerpots look ridiculous, and, conversely, large ones will not fit into the landscape of a small area. At the expense of the coloring of street flowerpots, one basic rule plays here - the pot should not be brighter than the plants in it. Also, don't give Special attention various shades, uniformity will best emphasize the style of the entire site.

In vase landscape fashion, the main colors are brown, grey, terracotta and white.

Wooden flowerpot from a stump and sawn trees

The stump is not at all unnecessary dead tree, but vice versa - it can become a precious landscape potential, a container for flowers. How to transform a stump into a beautiful flowerpot? To do this, you will need a chisel and a drill.

  • Initially, holes must be drilled on the surface of the stump, and the closer they are to each other, the easier it will be for you to process the tree further.
  • After that, using a chisel, carefully remove the inner wood. Carry out this procedure until the depth of your future flowerpot reaches the required parameters. The dimensions of the flowerpot depend on the strength and dimensions of the stump itself, and the more rotten the wood, the thicker the walls should be.
  • Everything, on this the process of creating a wooden flowerpot is completed, it remains only to fill in the ground.

A very interesting version of flowerpots is obtained from sawn trees, and especially from birch. It is not worth planting plants directly in the flowerpot itself, since wood is susceptible to moisture, and when frequent watering the wood will just start to rot. It is better to put a pot inside the cut wooden branch. The tree is desirable to be treated with a special protective agent for the case of water getting past the pot while watering the flowers.

Vases from old things

For the organization of street flowerpots, any old things are suitable, ranging from various jugs, buckets, ending with old shoes and beer bottles.

  • Any old plate is a potential option for organizing flowerpots. To do this, you just need to hold the plate over the heating device and when the material heats up, it will become plastic, after which it can be given any shape. In this way, you can create real masterpieces, the main thing here is to be very careful and not get burned.

Suitable for decoration broken glass, various small pebbles, shells, nail polishes. This version of flowerpots is a pure flight of fancy, the most difficult thing here is the correct selection and arrangement of decor elements. The easiest and safest way is to finish with colored glass, which is attached with tile adhesive.

  • Stuffed bowls, mugs, jugs will do the job perfectly landscape decoration site. If your old dishes are made of clay, then you can stylize absolutely any part of the site by lining up a flower arrangement.

You can also always dream up and combine unnecessary dishes with old furniture. For example, a beautifully painted and decorated pot can be placed on chairs or a cabinet, which will serve as an excellent basis for a flower garden.

To do this, we separate the legs from the machine, carefully wash and wipe the box dry. We fasten the box between the legs, after which we paint the entire surface with a spray gun. Initially, apply a black base, then take a silver or golden paint and casually with a brush, barely touching the table, make horizontal strokes. The result is a beautiful antique flowerpot.

Plastic flower vases

There are a lot of options for flowerpots from a plastic bottle, but this option is not for everyone.

The easiest way is to cut a two-liter bottle, and with reverse side make a few holes for water to drain, some spray paint, shells and your flowerpot is ready.

A twenty-liter bottle can become a completely full-fledged outdoor flowerpot, but it requires a more serious approach. To make the pot as stable as possible, it will have to be made stationary.

  • In the place of the proposed placement of the flowerpot, dig a piece of reinforcement.
  • Cut the bottom of the bottle so that the height of the sides adjacent to it is about 20 cm. This will be bottom future flowerpot, covering " technical solution» with fittings.
  • In the bottom, you need to drill a hole the size of a bottle neck.
  • Then this entire surface must be painted with waterproof paint.
  • After the paint has completely dried, you can assemble the structure: we put the neck on the dug-in fittings, and we string the “skirt” from the bottom onto the neck.
  • Now you can start backfilling the earth and planting plants.

Outdoor flowerpot made of tires

A flowerpot from a tire is a quick, free and at the same time original way to create flowerpots that emphasize the beauty of the plants planted in them. To create it, you need a little imagination, half an hour of free time, a pencil for marking and a knife or a jigsaw. The size of the selected tire can be the most diverse, it all depends on the desired dimensions of the flowerpot.

  • Tire marking. The cut is made with a knife along the border between soft and thicker rubber. Inside the tire there is a metal cord, which will serve as a natural border, to which cuts should be made. An ornament should be applied around the entire tire, along which the rubber will be cut.
  • Making cuts. They should be made with a well-sharpened knife or a jigsaw, the depth of the cuts can vary from 5 to 10 cm. The width of the cut ornament should be at least 10 cm, since in the future it will act as a decorative element of the flowerpot.
  • Reversing cuts. After you have made the cuts, you should turn them inside out. For this, the force must be applied from the center of the product and at an angle of 25 degrees. Turn out a third of the incised part, then the work will go easily.
  • Decoration. The tire turned inside out now looks like a real flowerpot, it remains only to transform it by adding small elements and painting it in the desired color. The incised areas can be shaped into triangles, ovals, or rectangles.
  • Soil filling. Before filling the ground, agrotextile material should be laid on the bottom of the flowerpot, which will prevent the germination of weeds and ensure water drainage.
