What is the name of the thing where the wires are hidden. How to hide the wires from the TV on the wall - simple solutions against non-standard ideas

hide wires for decorating your own house or apartment - a must. In addition, it is also a safety issue, because often a child, dog or cat can catch on the wire, pull on it. In other words, if you take care to hide the cables, you can take care of beauty and safety. Allocate set different ways decorative placement of wires so that they do not interfere.

Internal disguise

Internal disguise is one of the most aesthetic ways, because the wires will not be visible at all. It is possible to hide the wires inside, for example, in a wall, floor or ceiling. This method is suitable for overhaul. It will be possible to hide all communications enough in a decorative way. And then the overall design and charm of the interior will not be spoiled.

Wall

How to hide wires in the wall? This question is asked by people most of the time. Usually there is a need to hide the cables from the wall lamp, TV, home theater or router. The following method will be effective for hiding the cable in cases where there is already a wall on the wall. decorative coating. It is enough to follow a simple algorithm - and everything will work out:

  1. It is necessary to cut the wallpaper using a sharp knife. If it is liquid wallpaper, they need to be carefully picked off.
  2. The paper material needs to be folded into different sides and secure with needles or pins so that it does not interfere with work.
  3. Next, make a groove where the wire will be located. To do this, you can use any construction tool.
  4. In the resulting recess, you need to lay the cable.
  5. From above, the wire must be covered with plaster or carefully covered with plasticine. A suitable tool is selected depending on the scale of the work.
  6. After the selected solution has dried, you need to glue the wallpaper in place, after lubricating them with glue. If it is liquid wallpaper, then they are soaked and glued into place with a spatula.

The method is effective in order to hide the wires in the entrance. In this case, the procedure is simplified: you need to make a recess in the wall, lay the wires and cover with plaster.

Floor

Placing cables under the floor is also in demand. This original method also allows you to mask the wires very quickly. Here you can choose one of several options:

  1. The use of skirting boards. This is the easiest way. When buying skirting boards, it is enough to pay attention to their appearance, in particular, it is necessary that the product has a special niche at the back, where the cable will need to be placed. Such a plinth is attached in the same way as an ordinary one.
  2. Cement strainer. Such a procedure is performed quite often in a house or apartment during a major overhaul. During this, the wires are pulled in the corrugation, laid on the subfloor and poured on top with a cement screed. In conclusion, it remains to put a decorative coating. This method is also suitable for masking in wooden house. Top on cement screed you can lay a wooden floor.
  3. Disguise. This is a simple method that involves the use of a perforator. With its help, a recess is made in the floor, where communications are laid. Subsequently, this place is simply poured with cement. In this case, the cat or puppy will not be able to get hurt.

A similar method of hiding wires helps to hide wires in the hallway, in the kitchen, in the living room or in the computer room. Floor masking of wires in the office is especially in demand.

Ceiling

It is also possible to mask the wires on the ceiling. This is in demand to hide cables from the TV that hangs on the wall, from the hood, antenna, router or the Internet. At the same time, this method is quite simple to implement. You can choose one of the following methods:

  1. Stretch ceiling. Here you need to think about masking the wires before the canvas is stretched. You can use any method, even just to run cables. But it is preferable to take care of insulation in case the room is suddenly flooded due to neighbors from above.
  2. Plasterboard ceiling. You can create a special drywall niche around the perimeter of the ceiling. In this case, it will be possible to arrange any number of wires. However, it is preferable to mount all cables in one common trunk for convenience.

Attention! You can take care of the aesthetics of the ceiling with the help of decorative lighting. This is especially impressive on the ceiling with a niche.

Recommendations for outdoor masking will take care of the aesthetics of the interior. At the same time, there is no need to drill, plaster or cut coatings. However, such methods of disguise look quite interesting, they can enliven the atmosphere and the interior as a whole.

The most popular decorating methods include:

  1. Tree branch. Stores sell special kits. They include hooks in the form of leaves that allow you to fix the wire on the wall, and birds for beauty in general. It is enough to attach the leaves in the direction from the interior item, for example, from the TV, or to the outlet.
  2. Complete trees. In this way, you can also braid the doorway. In general, the use of such trees is suitable in cases where the wire is very long, but you do not want to cut it. Special fasteners will help to form a tree silhouette.
  3. Art object. With it, you can create an original design of a light bulb, for example, on computer desk. The design is fixed on the wall, allowing you to solve the problem with hanging wires.
  4. Landscape. This is a rather complicated implementation option, involving the creation of a spectacular panel. Such an element of decor on the wall looks very interesting. It can be placed above the table with a computer, around the TV.
  5. Power station. This approach to business will help to implement several functions at once. In particular, it is necessary to create a power plant on the wall surface. With its help, you can not only beautifully hide the cables, but also start teaching the kids the principles of the operation of the power plant.
  6. Highway. The implementation of such a project on the wall is quite complicated and painstaking. It takes quite a lot of time. All components are initially cut out of cardboard (you can print or draw them yourself, or you can buy a ready-made set). As a result, it will be possible to decoratively hide the wires.
  7. Fence. All cables can be placed along the top of the plinth, masking with decorative blanks in the form of a fence. They can be purchased at special store or cut out of cardboard or drywall, attaching to the wall with double-sided tape. The fence can be multi-colored or plain.

The methods of outdoor camouflage do not end there. If there is no desire for drastic changes, you can choose simpler methods. For example, you can arrange furniture so that it hides the wires near the wall. Suitable for dealing with unaesthetically located wires and door trim. They do an excellent job of hiding wires, tall houseplants. And hide the wires on the floor will help carpet covering or palace.

Life hack! In order not to do the work several times, it is better to immediately draw several options on a piece of paper. This will allow you to visually assess what the result will be and give preference to the most suitable option.

And what about the computer?

A computer is in every home today. He, especially when there is system unit, has a lot of wires: from the computer itself, monitor, speakers, keyboard, mouse, if there are no other technical means. As a result, constantly tangled wires are observed. We'll have to show imagination and spend a lot of time to deal with this problem. The most suitable ideas are:

  • pass the wires through the box, having previously made holes in it;
  • fix the wires in a sewn-in cover, fixed under the table, so that the cables do not interfere with the legs;
  • use double-sided tape, self-tapping screws, clips to place the wires, fixing the cables under the table cover;
  • make a cover by placing it behind the back cover of the table (if any), where all the wires are hidden;
  • tighten the wires into a hose that will get rid of the wire chaos under the table;
  • use paper clips to secure connectors from appliances near the table top.

It is important! If you have several mobile phones in your house that have different chargers, create a dedicated charging corner. To do this, you can put an extension cord with sockets in the box and turn on all chargers. Make holes in the box for the wires (can be curly) and pull the cables through them. Their length should be such that they can be easily connected mobile phone and put on the box. The unnecessary length of the wire is rolled up and secured, for example, with a paper clip. The box must be closed.

How to hide wires in a car?

How to hide wires in a car? This question is asked by every owner of the DVR, who is already tired of the wires hanging from the device. You can give preference to this algorithm:

  1. Remove the plastic element of the rack. To do this, you need to disconnect the two clips by pulling them towards you, and remove them from the clamps by pulling them up.
  2. Route the wire inside so as to bring the end to the door.
  3. Insert the panel into place.
  4. Lay the wire between the previously removed element and the rubber band, which plays the role of a seal.
  5. Open the glove box and run the wire from the bottom through it.
  6. Do the same on the other end of the glove compartment.
  7. Lower the wire under the mat.
  8. Pull the wire through the armrest.
  9. Connect to cigarette lighter.

The only problem is that you need a long wire. This method will allow you to cope with the problem of the ever-interfering cable from the car recorder.

Worth following useful tips to hide the wires beautifully, safely and conveniently. In particular, you can pay attention to the following recommendations:

  1. Label the wires to remember which one is which and also to avoid confusion.
  2. Don't tie wires together for various purposes, in particular for the transmission of data signals (these include cable from antennas, TV, computers, the Internet and audio devices) and with alternating current networks. If this is done, the level of noise and interference will increase.
  3. When the cable is great length, there is a high possibility of damage, such as electric shock. These wires are especially unsafe for pets and small children, who can accidentally pull on the cord during gameplay.
  4. Buy decorative box in order to hide the cables, in a suitable store or make it yourself.
  5. Make sure that the chosen way to hide the cables does not lead to the fact that the aesthetics of the interior will be lost.

Now you know how to hide the wires. Both internal and external methods are in demand. Give preference to the most suitable specific situation. Don't forget that outdoor way beautifully hide the wire should fit into the overall interior design. In this case, it will be possible to achieve aesthetic design and the safety of using all electrical appliances in the house.

Since the housing issue forever changed the minds of Muscovites, and indeed of all other inhabitants of the planet, caring for the appearance and interior decoration of their homes began to worry property owners no less, and sometimes even more than the acquisition of this property. In the first place, of course, came communications: pipes and wires.

Indeed, the cost of some repairs often compete with the prices of apartments (or even exceed them). Valuations finishing materials in aggregate, they pull out around the apartment, sometimes for tens of thousands of dollars; highly qualified works (carried out, at the same time, not always by competent “specialists”) are paid according to the formula “100% of the price of materials”. And now, when almost silk wallpaper, at a price calculated per square inch, is finally pasted, the question usually arises - what about the wiring? Even if this question arises in time, i.e. before fine finish, then the classic solution - to punch cable channels in the walls with a perforator - both lengthens the repair time, and proportionally increases the cost, and significantly adds discomfort to the neighbors.

Of course, we would like to do without the destructive impact on the load-bearing and delimiting structures. (After all, it is not safe for the whole house). And this is where the main collision of the beautiful with the useful takes place. Beautiful refers to considerations of aesthetics and design of the appearance of the room being finished. And under the useful one are considerations of utilitarian properties and, of course, fire safety, which this or that method of laying electrical wiring in an apartment brings with it.

In this article, I would like to raise and analyze various ways organization of household electrical facilities in private dwellings in apartment buildings. Indeed, in connection with the expensive cost of the issue (repairs and capital improvements), this seems to be quite relevant.

Gating process

Why toil with the "disguise" of electrical wiring, if you can first attach it to the main wall, and then simply plaster it on top. The technique is called "hidden" and not always the sequence of actions is just that. Most often, a team of plasterers valiantly perform their work, and then they are replaced by electricians who begin to reformat the world in their own way, in accordance with the tasks assigned to them. This strongly resembles a joke about two soldiers from a construction battalion, one of whom dug holes, and the other dug in after him (there was no third one who was supposed to plant trees, but an order is an order). To carry out the wiring, electricians are forced to make channels for wires and holes in the plaster with a perforator - to ditch the surface.

Not everyone and not always want this burdensome procedure:

  • Shtrobleniye spoils the existing plaster. It is extremely rare to break through neat channels. And even if this is done, it will still be necessary to restore the finishing layer of plaster in the places of gating after laying the cable. It should be recognized that the technique is very multi-iterative.
  • Shtroblenie is associated with increased generation of dust, which will be everywhere in the apartment. If a we are talking not about the initial arrangement, but about the repair, then you will definitely have to re-paste the wallpaper and update the ceiling.
  • Prolonged unpleasant sound effect of the perforator. Even if repair work is carried out within hours strictly defined by law, the neighbors will still not thank you.
  • The wiring is hidden capitally. She will never have access to it.

The purpose of the thesis of this section is not at all to discredit one of the most universal construction technologies, providing great opportunities (strobe). With regard to electrical wiring, I would like to focus on the fact that the design and aesthetic appeal of the method is bought at the price of safety. You should not joke with electricity, and communications tend to become unusable. It would be nice to replace them. But if the wires in the apartment are laid in channels punched in the wall, then you can simply forget about it. Rewiring is possible only by laying a new cable and disconnecting the old one (at both ends).

In this regard, it would be nice, of course, to acquire an alternative. There is such a way - this is a gasket electrical cables open way. About the features and possibilities of this path below.

Open wiring options

The biggest plus open way don't name it right away. Indeed, what is more important: affordability, technological simplicity or promising fire safety? But all these positive traits fully applicable to any of the options open wiring. By the way, it is worth calling them:

  • cable channels;
  • corrugated sleeve;
  • skirting boards / baguettes.

All these "camouflage" techniques serve three main purposes:

  • observing the requirements of aesthetics (i.e. harmoniously), hide the wiring cables, making them part of the interior;
  • improve the fire safety of electrical wiring by providing access to any part of it for possible control or replacement;
  • provide shielding from electromagnetic radiation generated by alternating current. It should be noted right away that far from all materials cope with this task and, as a rule, effective ones are much more expensive.

External "camouflage" wires, indeed, generate an order of magnitude less debris and dust than gating. However, there will still be inconvenience. To start, at least with the inevitable movement of furniture away from the walls. In addition, the fastening of all the devices listed above to the walls, most likely, will be carried out using a puncher and a screwdriver (dowels and screws). So you have to make noise and spray.

Before you start to "hide" and mask the wiring, it is strongly recommended to contact professional designers and make a wiring project. By themselves, these devices are designed to make the room more beautiful. It would be a shame to spoil the appearance just because the aesthetic idea was not fully formed.

Stages of work

After drawing up a design project, it is logical to start marking the walls and highlighting those places where it is planned to install cable outlets from the elements covering them. Speech, first of all, is about switches and sockets.

Next, you should fix the base (for boxes), brackets (for corrugated hoses) or fixed mounts (for skirting boards) on the walls. This is the only stage where you will have to use a drill and a screwdriver. I would like to wish that it be completed in the shortest possible time.

Next, we lay the wiring inside the elements. After laying, we bring the elements to the final state and inspect. The wiring must be free in the channels. We make an inspection finished work: there should be no kinks and super-dense (close-fitting) laying of wires.

Let's start testing: we measure the insulation resistance. When the results are fixed, we try to apply the operating voltage. We carefully listen to the wiring - there should be no extraneous noise: periodic crackling, sound vibrations. In addition, there should not be any dangerous odors, such as burnt plastic. After turning off the power, we check the insulation between the cable cores. The electrical resistance must be at least 0.5 mΩ. If this value is less, then it is necessary to correct the defect. The result might be:

  • damaged insulation due to cable contact with various obstacles;
  • takes place hall;
  • Special attention pay attention to the presence along the route electric wire hardware. Sometimes, a self-tapping screw or a nail causes damage to the insulation;
  • incorrect connection of the wires in the shield.

If, after measuring the insulation resistance, everything works and the test light is on, then we proceed to the final stage.

We open the boxes and / or skirting boards and connect the wires to sockets and switches. After that, close the lids again. The wiring is ready to use.

Cable channels

Cable duct boxes are the most common when making wiring during repairs according to the so-called European standard. In any hardware store, as a rule, there is a rich selection of such boxes of various profiles, designed for any functionality. So there are no restrictions for the flight of design ideas.

The boxes are made of polycarbonate and cost "penny", so the economic factor will also not be a limiting barrier. The material is non-combustible. It does not support combustion, it does not even really melt when it gets into the fire, however, it loses its shape, twisting. Plastic elements are lightweight and can be easily processed with a simple knife. The considered boxes are presented, as a rule, by the widest range of colors and colors. So it will definitely be possible to find the option that is most suitable for wallpaper (for example).

In fact, cable channels are not just plastic boxes, but the entire line of fittings and accompanying elements:

  • crosses;
  • plugs;
  • adapters.

Involved all together, they are able to create the impression of "technological advancement" of the room.

Regarding the shielding effect, it should be noted that such boxes cost twice as much on average. Firstly, because of the presence of an additional beneficial effect. And secondly, thanks to the inner coating of both the base and the lid, made of foil.

Boxes perfectly cope with all the tasks assigned to them:

  • they provide access to the entire length of the wiring in the apartment without difficult dismantling (just remove the latch cover from the base);
  • they provide satisfactory fire safety, ensuring that fire does not spread due to possible powerful sparks as a result of a short circuit;
  • they are an excellent tool for decorating a room.

From the point of view of the design of the cable duct box in the classic version, it is recommended to take white color and placed either along the plinth or under the ceiling. Then, regardless of the length of such channels, the room (whether painted or with pasted wallpaper) will have a complete look. And snow-white boxes will be just the underlining element that will create and accentuate the elegance of the room.

corrugated sleeve

Now, it is probably easier to stumble upon such a corrugated tube than to see the electrical wire in its purest form. And not easy. The main task of such a sleeve is to provide additional protection of the wire from mechanical damage, and also (here it is much more common) to protect both the wire from the electromagnetic effects of possible surrounding emitters, and to save the room from induced electromagnetic field caused by the passage alternating current through the wire.

Although the corrugated pipe standardizes all wires (thin, thick and multi-colored) under one format, the design tool from it is unimportant. It is completely unsuitable to keep its shape, and it will be located parallel to the floor in two cases:

  • if it is fixed on the ceiling;
  • and if it is attached to the floor.

Therefore, cases when a corrugated pipe is used are more likely a technological rationale: you need to assemble the wires into one bundle. Those. there are too many wires in this case that they need such structuring - this is clearly not the format of an apartment.

The disadvantage of such a pipe is the impossibility of visual control of the wiring along the entire length. And in general, it will be extremely difficult to inspect any significant section of it without damaging the corrugation.

You should not expose the corrugated pipe for show, forming the appearance of the rooms. It should be borne in mind that this is rather an "intermediate" material. Several of these pipes look very solid, going together and each branching off to its consumer. But from above, this wiring should be covered by some kind of decorating surface.

Skirting boards and baguettes

One of traditional ways hide wiring. Since its appearance in our homes, this has become the second utilitarian purpose of skirting boards (both from below, from above). Modern skirting boards are, of course, much more adapted for this function:

  • they are made of non-flammable plastic;
  • they have sufficient internal volume to accommodate several different kind wires;
  • their design ideology includes the possibility of dismantling. Those. their installation on brackets is provided, which are already permanently attached to the wall or floor;
  • they have the entire line of accompanying fittings (such as corners, joints, transitions, plugs, etc.)

Wooden skirting boards are less convenient in this regard, and their fire resistance raises certain concerns. However, in some cases, such skirting boards significantly outperform plastic ones:

  • It is enough to process a wooden plinth special composition, which gives the wood fire-fighting properties, and such a detail is not something that will not catch fire, it will not even support the flame when thrown into an open fire.

The plinth, made of expensive wood species, has two advantages at once:

  • it still remains affordable (since it, in any case, has a small amount of this most valuable wood);
  • it gives the whole room an eye-catching nobility (regardless of what cheap materials the walls are finished with).

Finally, it is hard to imagine that the walls, which are covered with natural wood panels, were trimmed around the perimeter with plastic skirting boards.

Baguettes repeat the features of skirting boards with one exception. If there is a molding in the decoration of the room (and a baguette - its component), then this is a non-removable element of decor, and the wiring laid through such a channel will forever remain inaccessible.

Laying wires in skirting boards and baguettes has another advantage. Nearby, as a rule, there are sockets or other consumers (in the case of a baguette, these can be all kinds of alarms or even surveillance cameras). That. no need to rack your brains on how to bring a wire to them, and then also beautifully disguise it.

Alternative methods of hidden laying of wires without chasing

Are there other methods of hiding the wiring without having to hammer the concrete, which, nevertheless, completely exclude the presence of any elements on the walls? Yes. Excellent camouflage elements are the floor and ceiling. Not all, of course. This refers only to those floor surfaces that are laid out on logs. And the ceiling is supposed to be some additional decorating plane, located indented from the main horizontal ceilings. In addition, there are other options, which are discussed below.

Floor

Laminate flooring is now widely used in apartments. Thin parquet, which replaced the classic wooden planks. In accordance with modern technologies, it is laid on plywood sheets. But before that, it is supposed to lay heat and sound insulation. In other words, first, logs are laid on the concrete floor, between which insulating materials are placed ( stone wool, for example), and then sheets of plywood, etc., are placed on even logs. Nothing prevents us from laying a sufficiently large number of electrical wires into the space between the lags.

Here, by the way, very useful corrugated pipes. If the wires are laid in them, then you can no longer worry about fire safety. Cables can be easily laid both along the lag and across, cutting out spaces in wooden guides for crossing them with wires. If you place sockets close to the baseboards (i.e. closer to the floor), then there will be no additional problems of hiding the wires going from the floor to them along the walls.

Switches are usually located at waist level. But here plinths framing, for example, a doorway will help us. A single pair of wires goes to the switch, and such a cable will easily fit into the space created by a neat baseboard, even if the wire is inside a corrugated pipe of a minimum diameter.

With safety and aesthetics, everything is more or less clear. What about access to the wiring for possible repair or replacements? Everything is unsettling here. Laying electrical cables in this way is, in fact, tantamount to laying them under plaster. It is unlikely that anyone will ever remove the skirting boards and disassemble the parquet or grooved floor just to change the wire. Only if in conjunction with other repair aspirations. In general, the repair of the lower plane is one of the most time-consuming reparation measures.

Ceiling

Suspended and stretch ceilings are becoming more and more widespread both in private dwellings and in institutions and offices (offices). The main motivating factor among the owners in order to install in their apartment stretch ceiling, is dust. Traditional whitewashing is capable of generating up to 38% (according to the latest data from European researchers) of all dust in an apartment. Tension planes are much more hygienic.

In offices, suspended ceilings have long been classic sign business style and design. They are inexpensive, technologically advanced in installation and ergonomic in operation. Plus, the fact that it is stretch, that suspended ceilings are located at some distance from the capital ceilings, which, of course, takes precious centimeters from the height of the room, but it provides the most convenient way breeding electrical wiring and signal cables in an apartment or office.

The absence of obstacles allows, using such a space, to conduct wires directly (i.e. along the shortest route). Which means:

  • price general contour wiring in the room is significantly reduced;
  • reducing the total length of conductors (cables) reduces the overall resistance of the circuit, which enhances fire safety in a home or office.

Unlike floor coverings that are stretch, that suspended ceilings are dismantled much easier and more technologically (suspended - in general, in parts). And therefore, the replacement of wires will be associated with minimal inconvenience.

Here, as well as in the case of placing wires under the floor, it is strongly recommended to "form" individual wires or their bundle into corrugated pipes - the key to the fire safety of the entire system.

The disadvantage of such wiring is its "isolation" from consumers. If you need to power some kind of alarm or surveillance camera, which, as a rule, are located under the ceiling, then pulling the cable through the space under the ceiling is ideal. What about a socket or switch? The wire will go through the entire wall (or most of it), which forces, in best case, resort to the design elements discussed above (boxes, etc.). But the effect of the "clean wall" is irretrievably lost. And here it will not be possible to get out of the situation with the help of a plinth running along the door jamb, because. the door is usually adjacent to the floor and does not touch the ceiling.

Walls

Drywall has long been rooted in the homes of Russians. It seems that it is present everywhere: in offices, and in private individual houses, and in apartments, etc. AT recent times it was pretty diluted with other panel materials: chipboard, fiberboard, DSP, etc. But the essence remains the same - the plates are designed to create a perfectly flat surface. As in the case of the ceiling and floor, panel materials are installed at some distance from the capital structures (walls). They are fixed on guides (wooden or metal) in a position ideally perpendicular to the ground plane, and one of the useful side effects created by them is the space that is formed between them and the camps.

If you use this space for the purpose of laying communications, then almost all the pluses of floors and ceilings are aggregated (in this aspect) and all the minuses go away:

  • Now you can power any consumer, wherever it is located along the height of the wall.
  • Replacing the wiring becomes a fairly simple operation that does not create any significant inconvenience. It is enough to disassemble and remove, for example, a socket or switch, disconnect the other end of the wire and pull the wire out through the open socket of the consumer.

You should be prudent and tie any thread to the free end of the wire so that, using this thread, you can then pull the new cable in the reverse order.

  • Fire safety is ensured by placing an electrical wire in a corrugated pipe.

There is only one drawback here - it will not be possible to connect various points in the apartment along the shortest route, as is the case with ceilings. You have to go around the perimeter. But this minus pales in comparison with a full-fledged solution to the problem of hiding electrical communications throughout the house.

Installation of hidden electrical wiring is carried out even at the construction stage or at the very beginning of repair, when there is only rough finish. This option is considered optimal, since it allows you to completely hide the wires from the eyes. However, the work requires effort for wall chasing and subsequent puttying. However, if there is a laying in the floor, then the scope of work is simplified. So, how to hide the wiring?

Stroke or not?

The average thickness of the plaster in which any hidden wiring, is 6-7 mm. In most cases, the standard finish will completely cope with camouflage. However, if it is planned that the thickness of the plaster layer will be only 3-4 mm, it would be more expedient to first plaster all the walls, and then make channels right size and cover them again after laying the wire.

An important point: before installation and immediately after it is completed, be sure to check the cable for integrity. For this, a probe lamp or a special indicator is used. Remember: repairing hidden electrical wiring in the event of an error will require much more effort than extra control over the process.

general description

Before starting to lay strobes, it is required to draw in advance the lines along which they will pass, and subsequently hidden electrical wiring will be laid.

In order for the lines to be strictly vertical or horizontal, a level is used. They should not be made too high or low, so as not to interfere with the subsequent installation of the floor or false ceiling. Experts recommend making a margin of 15 cm. The places for future fastenings are also noted, the recommended step is from 20 to 40 cm.

At the second stage, holes are cut for the boxes (a puncher is more often used), and connecting strobes are made with a grinder or a special wall chaser. It remains to make hatches in the boxes, the conductors are put into place and fixed. Further, the same is done with the cable between them. Upon completion, all installation boxes and cables are masked with plaster, and at the end of the work, switches and sockets are installed.

Shtroblenie

If laying the cable during a rough finish is not possible or the thickness of the plaster layer is insufficient, it becomes necessary to gouge. This term is understood as making a rectangular groove for the subsequent laying of hidden wiring.

Strobes are made using special tool wall chaser or an ordinary grinder. The first one is not so popular because of its high cost and rarity (that is, it is unlikely that it will be possible to take it from a neighbor), however, it allows you to cope with the task as quickly as possible and with the least labor costs. In the absence of a tool, a chisel and a hammer are used. However, this option is fraught with possible chips and damage to the plaster.

The parameters of the strobe depend on which conductors and how many are planned to be used in hidden wiring.

The depth should be chosen to hide the wire in the furrow with a margin. Most often the best option is 2, maximum 2.5 cm. The width is somewhat more complicated: it is necessary to ensure a distance of at least a few millimeters between the individual wires.

Before plastering the wall again, it is necessary to carefully clean the accumulated debris from the strobes, and also cover them with a primer. The junction boxes are the final work, so at first you should just leave the wires hanging. This is very important, since it is difficult to predict in advance at what depth the boxes will be installed.

Fasteners and installation

For brick and concrete walls, all experts recommend using a dowel-clamp or UW as a fastener. In common parlance, it is also often referred to as "uveshka". To work with 3x1.5 or 3x2.5 cords, you will need an attachment marked 5/10. To drill holes for fastening, a drill with a diameter of 6 mm is used. During installation, the dowel is wrapped around the cable and inserted into the hole, the antennae key in the system become a spacer, which is wedged in the strobe.

Separately, it should be noted cases when the cable needs to be rotated 90 degrees. This should be done carefully, ensuring a sufficient turning radius. The exact numbers can be found in the specifications of the cable being used.

Laying cables in pipes

For greater reliability, in some cases, hidden wiring is mounted in pipes made of PVC or corrugations. This method it is not used so often and is in demand only in rooms where temperature or humidity changes often occur: baths, buildings without heating, and the like.

There is practically no difference between the installation of conventional hidden electrical wiring in an apartment and installation in pipes. The key difference is that in the case of pipes, there are relaxations to the requirements, for example, cables are allowed to overlap. However, the strobes for them will have to be done much more. Pipes are fastened in the same way in the case of a small diameter or with brackets if the diameter exceeds 4 cm.

Fast setting plaster can also be used as an alternative fastener approach. It will help increase the reliability and fire safety of the system, but it is much more difficult to work with it. True, if desired, it will also be much easier to remove the cable from the pipe if necessary.

Place of laying - floor, partition, ceiling

Separately, it should be noted options when hidden wiring is mounted in floors, ceilings or partitions. For example, if we are talking about a plasterboard suspended ceiling with a metal frame, then it will be much easier to hide the wiring, you don’t even need to ditch the walls - the conductors simply hide under the ceiling, and go down at the right points.

Also, junction boxes can be placed under drywall, but for them you will have to take care of embedding hatches opposite. Hatches are used to gain access to hidden wiring if necessary. Clamps or UW are used to fasten the lighting cables to the ceiling.

The best option: hidden electrical wiring is first hidden in pipes, and they are already mounted in the ceiling. Similar decision improves fire safety drywall construction, installation is made by clips.

Installation of hidden electrical wiring under flooring produced in a similar way. The easiest way to install cables into the floor is if it is made of wood or gypsum fiber. In the case of a tree, holes are made in the logs, into which pipes are inserted, and a cable is laid along the nom. As an alternative, hidden wiring can also be arranged along the floor surface. First, the surface is leveled with expanded clay or a similar mixture, and a topcoat is applied on top.

Some equip hidden electrical wiring in the apartment, hiding the wires in pipes, and then pouring them with cement. This should not be done, especially if it is planned that the solution layer above the pipe will be small.

An important point: if you decide to hide the wiring under the floor or ceiling covering, connections may only be made in specially designed boxes. Only in this way, in case it fails, it will be possible to get to it relatively quickly.

Often, hidden wiring is installed behind drywall and in partitions.

As practice shows, often non-specialists make a common mistake, they forget about protective shells.

In an attempt to get by with minimal effort, holes are made in the metal profile itself. Also, do not run wires through drywall before sewing it on. In both cases, the risk of damage to the insulation is high. Pulling out the conductor for repair becomes very problematic. This problem is solved in an elementary way. Before you pull the conductors through the holes, you should first dress them in pipes.

Working with lighting is much easier. The voids in the slabs play a key role here. They remain from the stage of installation of the floor. This solution It is also attractive in that it does not require any gating. However, this does not affect cable protection. It is enough to punch two holes: near the wall and at the location of the lamp. To pull the wire through the pipes, special probes made of hard wire are most often used.

It remains to note the case when the hidden wiring is mounted through the insulation in the walls. It is preferable to pass through mineral wool due to individual characteristics material: it is lightweight, compresses perfectly and does not require any additional work. Many prefer foam, but it will have to cut additional channels for pipes.

Mounting box installation

There are some nuances here as well. It is worth starting with the fact that in rooms with concrete walls it is recommended to use diamond-coated bits, as the more common pobedit-coated models wear out quickly, and additional drills will have to be purchased. They can only be used in houses with finblock walls. Tellingly, when working with finblocks, it is forbidden to use diamond-coated crowns for the same reasons.

Before starting milling, a hole with a diameter equal to the drill is made in the center of the installation, due to which there will be much less difficulties during operation. Experts recommend choosing boxes with a diameter of 6-7 cm, this will be enough for 6 cores. If you plan to connect several outlets in a row, the place for them is leveled.

Wire quality

It is worth remembering that the reliability of hidden, and indeed any, wiring, not least depends on the quality of the wire. Today on the market you can find a considerable range of conductors. Their main parameters are as follows:

  • the cross-sectional diameter of the core can be from 800 to 0.75 mm;
  • core material (most often copper, aluminum or their alloy);
  • the number of cores up to 37;
  • wire sheath yarn, rubber, paper, plastic (more protected wires have two types of insulation at once).

For wiring at home, they use cables marked NUM and VVG, as well as wires ShVVP, PUNP and a number of others. It is worth briefly talking about the main features.

VVG is a cable without armor, the cores of which are copper, and the insulation is vinyl. There are several varieties on the market with additional markings: VVG NG has an increased fire safety, VVG Z has additional insulation, etc.

NUM - high-strength cable for organizing hidden wiring. Poorly suited for, as the outer shell has poor resistance to sunlight.

PVS - connecting wire for any type of work.

PBGPP and PBPP - wires for laying lighting lines. They differ in the presence of an additional flexible core.

ShVPP - copper wire of increased flexibility.

In general, making hidden wiring at home with your own hands is a difficult task, but quite accessible even to a non-specialist. The main thing here is to clearly observe the features of the technology and the nuances described above, and then high-quality wiring will be able to please for many years.

We welcome everyone who looked to us on the Internet light. Our portal is connected with electrical issues, but we do not forget to periodically talk about things indirectly related to it, which, however, are no less important in our everyday life.

The choice of today's topic fell on the TV on the bracket, namely, how to hide the wires from the TV on the wall. At first glance, it may seem that the question is not so complicated, but even the most ardent skeptics, after reading the material, will discover something interesting and new. So let's go!

We will start with the most obvious and will gradually move towards more interesting and original solutions.

Straight into the wall

Today, concealed wiring is more popular than ever, and indeed, people try to hide from their eyes any communications that, in their opinion, spoil the appearance of the interior. The antenna wire for the TV did not become an exception, which very often has to be pulled through the entire apartment or house, since a high-quality video signal can often be obtained only by installing the receiver only in a certain place.

  • Floor plinths with cable channels, which can hide most of the cable along its length, are very helpful in solving this problem. However, if the TV is hanging on the wall, the wire has to be taken out of the plinth and directed to it, and it is not difficult to guess that the whole picture immediately deteriorates.
  • Plus, do not forget that the antenna television wire is not the only cable that fits the TV. At a minimum, you will need to power the equipment from the electrical network, but, as a maximum, it will also include: LAN Internet cable (many modern TVs are already, in fact, a computer that can access the network); wires for transmitting video and audio signals from various DVD players, TV receivers, HI-FI acoustics and more.
  • The picture begins to emerge and is completely horrific, and sometimes the maximum that can be done is to wind everything up in a bunch of nylon ties, and at least somehow try to disguise all this disgrace.

Perhaps the most time-consuming and dirty way to hide such a number of wires will be laying them in the strobes made in the wall during the repair. However, the method can be safely called the most accurate and technologically advanced, since the wires hidden in this way will not be gnawed by your cat, no one will accidentally hook your foot, plus everything will be displayed in a single console containing all the necessary outputs.

In this case, there is no need to hollow out the entire wall in order to spread all the wires around the room. It is enough to stretch them to the same plinth and hide everything else in it.

The big disadvantage of this approach is that it is applicable only in premises where renovation work is being carried out. If your walls are just made and you do not want to touch them in the near future, then scroll right through to the next chapter, where they will be offered alternative methods how to hide a TV antenna wire.

If you are ready to take drastic measures, then stock up on tools and go ahead:

  • First of all, you need to accurately outline the location of the TV on the wall.
  • Next, determine which bracket you will use for mounting. This moment is very important, because, despite the VESA world standard, which includes the most common attachment points, the brackets themselves can be different shapes and dimensions.

Advice! Without paying attention to this, you can end up with communications peeking out from behind the “carcass” of the TV, since the bracket is too massive, or it will interfere with switching.

  • It is desirable that the device is already in your hands, so that everything is measured clearly.
  • Try on the bracket to the TV and measure the distance that remains to the edges - it is on it that we will place all the sockets.
  • We transfer the measurements to the wall and begin to dust. The grinder cuts two vertical strips a couple of centimeters deep, at a distance of 2-3 centimeters from each other.
  • Next, the inner part is hollowed out with a puncher to form a full-fledged strobe.

  • After, with the help diamond crowns, a series of holes is made for the purchased TV outlet. Immediately see that this element contains all the necessary outlets and a sufficient number of power points so that it is enough to connect all the equipment.
  • The next steps are extremely simple. First, all the wires are laid in the strobes, which must first be fixed with plastic brackets so that they do not fall out and do not interfere with further plastering.
  • The ends of the wires are connected according to the scheme with the socket, and it is installed in its place.
  • All grooves are sealed gypsum plaster, after which the subsequent finishing is performed.

cable channel

A less elegant solution would be to use a cable channel, but not everything is so simple - you can make this element yourself or find a non-standard store option, making it an integral part of the interior. Plus, do not forget that it will be much easier and faster to implement such an undertaking.

Having studied the assortment of electrical goods stores and those selling electronics, you can find the following types of cable channels:

  • The easiest option is PVC.. Everyone saw them - this is an ordinary plastic box in white or another color, which has a removable lid held on by latches. It is possible to successfully fit such a product into the interior only if it is combined with the surroundings. color scheme- will merge with it or vice versa will be brightly contrasting.

  • Quite a rarity - models from MDF that can be effectively combined with the environment.
  • Metal options- more often it is aluminum, which is shown in one of the photos above. Such a product looks impressive enough to become part of some futuristic interior.

The structure of all models is very similar. They are attached directly to the wall with dowel screws, after which all connections, together with wires, are hidden under a decorative overlay.

As already mentioned, in some cases it is advisable to make a box with your own hands. The quality of workmanship and the final appearance will depend entirely on your ability to handle the tool, as well as the type of materials used in the decoration of the room.

The photo above shows a very simple and at the same time spectacular way assembly of such a box. It is made of planed boards, between which all the wires are laid. On top of them, you can place any decorative overlay, and paint the boards themselves in any shade to make them as inconspicuous as possible.

Special furniture

Furniture manufacturers also did not bypass the problem and offered their solutions to the buyer.

As you can see, the variety is very large, and there are enough non-standard furniture options. In part, they are not able to hide all communications and still require gating, however, with this approach, there will be much less dirt, so you can resort to this method even in a renovated room, doing everything as carefully as possible.

Creative approach to problem solving

Well, for dessert, we offer you several options that can not only be effective, but also allow you to additionally decorate the room.

decoration

A very interesting way out of the situation is not to hide the wires from the TV on the wall, but to decorate them, that is, to make them part of the interior.

Here are some interesting examples:

There are a lot of decoration options, and even manufacturers offer their own solutions. And if you have enough experience and imagination to create and implement your ideas, you can create a real masterpiece for mere pennies.

The simplest ways of artistic decoration will be the following options:

  • Parts of the wires can be placed behind the furniture, attached to it from the back with tape or staples;
  • Install living plants under the TV;
  • Use varnished driftwood;
  • Make a necklace out of wire by putting large beads on it;
  • Apply ready-made plastic clamps from the manufacturer;
  • And much more.

Decorative boxes

If the wires themselves do not bother you much, but the massive tees and extension cords "calm" your eyes, then original solution the question will be their placement inside a decorative box, which you can make yourself, or purchase ready-made version. By the way, instructions for assembling one of these solutions will be given in the video attached to the article.

Various devices are also very effective, allowing you to hide and secure the largest parts in inconspicuous places.

Here are some photos with similar solutions:

That, in principle, is all that we wanted to tell you about how you can hide or disguise the antenna wire for the TV and other cables. No need to put up with the given! Approach the matter wisely, and the result will not keep you waiting!
