Heating systems for country and country houses. Boilers, geysers, water heaters - Repair, service, operation

Gas boilers are manufactured by different companies, which is accompanied by the supply of equipment to the market that requires an individual approach to installation and operation. But you don’t want to overpay for calling a specialist for installation work, do you? But how to connect the Ariston gas boiler on your own, taking into account the individual characteristics of the purchased equipment?

We will try to help you deal with this task - our publication describes the procedure for installing, connecting and configuring gas boiler. The sequence of work during the first start-up of the equipment is also given. The presented material is supplemented with visual photos and video.

Wall-mounted boilers are perhaps the most common among domestic gas equipment - they are most often potential buyers.

So, a modern gas wall-mounted boiler of the Ariston Net model allows you to: start, stop and control the temperature background of heating and hot water. Moreover, all these actions can be performed from anywhere at any time using a familiar smartphone or personal computer.

Here is such an intelligent gas equipment, using the Ariston Net household boiler as an example, that potential buyers of the 21st century prefer to install

The system provides constant monitoring of energy consumption, which is accompanied by significant gas savings. Thanks to a special software, the owner of the equipment receives real-time notifications of malfunctions.

In addition, if you activate remote control, it becomes possible to solve most problems remotely. However, let's first look at how to properly install a domestic gas boiler of the Ariston brand, as well as the features of its connection, settings and procedure during the first start.

Stage # 1 - study the requirements of the manufacturer for installation

Judging by the requirements of the manufacturer of boilers Ariston, the installation of equipment is the prerogative of specialists only.

Hence the corresponding conclusion - an independent installation and the first inclusion of a household gas boiler Ariston is theoretically impossible (more precisely, unacceptable). Moreover, the first commissioning of equipment is prohibited without a representative of the gas service.

The manufacturer also reminds the future user about the quality of the water with which the gas wall-mounted boiler will work. It is noted: if the water quality ( chemical composition) does not match technical requirements, the performance of gas equipment is not guaranteed by the manufacturer during the established warranty period.

The installation of gas equipment according to the “B” scheme requires the organization of effective ventilation and air intake in the working rooms.

Rooms where corrosive vapors may appear in the composition of the air are only allowed to use installation according to the “C” scheme (outside air intake). Such requirements provide corrosion protection for Ariston gas boilers.

Kits for connecting a chimney / air duct, as a rule, are not included in the list of Ariston gas boiler equipment. Accordingly, additional kits are ordered for a specific connection.

This is how the “pipe in pipe” system looks like, which is used as part of the design of Ariston gas boilers of some models

Many gas boilers of the Ariston brand are made taking into account the supply of air and exhaust gases through a coaxial system, the pipe diameters of which are 60 and 100 mm. Or a separate version can be used with pipes for diameters of 80 by 80 mm. The selection of the configuration of the exhaust gases and the air duct is accompanied by taking into account additional aerodynamic resistance.

Stage # 6 - connecting the equipment to the mains

To fully ensure safety, the manufacturer requires the involvement of a qualified specialist to connect and check all electrical connections of the Ariston gas boiler. The manufacturer voids the warranty on the equipment if a poor-quality power supply network is used and.

A ground loop for a gas boiler installed inside a private house is a mandatory event that is required not only for Ariston brand boilers, but also for any other similar equipment

The power supply system is calculated for the maximum power consumption parameter of the gas boiler. To connect the equipment, electrical conductors with a cross section of at least 0.75 mm 2 are used. Proper safe operation of the gas boiler is ensured by reliable grounding.

The power supply parameters must be brought into line with the norms of the network 230V / 50 Hz, while observing the polarity and the presence of a grounding conductor. Grounding conductor required greater length in relation to the phase conductor and neutral. Wired connection - strictly permanent, without the use of sockets and plugs, made through.

First start-up and adjustment of the boiler

When the installation and connection work is over, you can proceed to setting up and testing the equipment.

Performing the first run

The initial action that accompanies the first launch of an Ariston brand gas boiler is water. In this case, it is necessary to set the air valves of the radiators to the working (open) state.

The same actions aimed at bleeding air from the system apply to the boiler circulation pump. As the circuit is filled with water, air is removed from the system, the water pressure on the pressure gauge reaches 1 - 1.5 atmospheres, the valve on the feed line is closed.

The first start-up of a gas boiler is usually accompanied by preparatory operations related to filling the system with water, venting air, checking the tightness of gas lines

At the next stage of commissioning of a gas boiler, actions related to the gas supply are performed.

The procedure is approximately the following:

  • open the doors and windows of the working room;
  • eliminate the presence of sources of open fire;
  • check the burner circuit and control system for leaks.

Testing the control unit and the burner for tightness is carried out by briefly opening (no more than 10 minutes) the main shut-off valve of the gas line. In this case, the solenoid valve and the manual damper of the boiler are set to the closed position. With this position of the system, the gas flow meter should show a zero result (no leakage).

Adjustment manipulations with the control panel

Modern gas heating equipment is equipped with a control panel where the user can set the desired operating parameters of the unit. Next, we will take a closer look at how to set up a household gas boiler of the Ariston brand.

Control during operation of the boiler, as well as control in the first start-up mode with the necessary settings, is carried out through the user control panel Ariston

Actually, the user's actions on the control panel are obvious here:

  1. Switch on the device by activating the ON/OFF button.
  2. Mark the operating mode parameters on the display.
  3. Mark the service mode functions on the display.

Next, the gas parameters are checked, for which it is dismantled front panel boiler, the control panel plate is lowered and test manipulations are performed with the connection of the measuring pressure gauge to the pressure taps.

These operations are the prerogative of gas service specialists.. Do it yourself not recommended, as it is necessary to clearly know the functionality of the equipment.

Keyboard layout of the Ariston remote control: 1 - information screen; 2 – DHW temperature regulation; 3 – mode selection key (Mode); 4 - "Comfort" function; 5 – ON/OFF key; 6 - "Auto" mode; 7 - reset key "Reset"; 8 - regulation of the temperature of the heating circuit

Then the boiler starts up in test mode after system function"Tube sweeper". To enter the test mode, activate the Reset button and hold it down for at least 5 seconds. The test mode is exited by re-activating the reset button.

Maximum/Minimum Power Testing

This type of test also provides for control sampling of pressure at specialized points of the equipment, followed by measurement of parameters on a pressure gauge. It is necessary to disconnect the compensating tube of the combustion chamber. Again, the "Chimney sweep" mode is used, activated through the control panel.

Similarly, the boiler is tested for the minimum power level. True, the adjusting screw of the modulator is additionally used if it is necessary to correct the value of the minimum operating pressure of the boiler. On this occasion, a video is posted below, where for some reason the modulator is called a motor.

Putting equipment into operation

The process of starting the device provides for the following user actions:

  1. Activate the ON/OFF button.
  2. Select standby mode.
  3. Hold down the Mode button for 3-10 seconds.
  4. Wait for the bleed cycle (about 7 minutes).
  5. Open the line gas cock.
  6. Switch on the DHW operation mode with the "Mode" button.

If all actions were performed by a master of a specialized company, then he checks the compliance of the gas pressure during the operation of the unit and draws up an appropriate act.

Wall-mounted gas boilers from a series of modern equipment of the Ariston brand are a rather complicated technique, even if it is for domestic purposes. From here logical conclusion for the installation and start-up of the Ariston gas boiler - the initial start-up of the system should be entrusted to specialists. Costs are, of course, inevitable, but on the other hand, this is guaranteed right job gas system.

Did you install and configure the Ariston brand gas boiler on your own or did you entrust this work to specialists? Share your experience with other visitors of our site in the comments block - add a photo of your boiler, tell us about the difficult moments that you encountered in the process of installing the equipment yourself.

Ariston Clas Evo

Modifications of gas boilers Ariston Clas Evo: 24 FF, 24 CF, 28 FF, 15 FF

Boiler hydraulic unit

Right hydraulic unit - Modular unit with built-in functional elements: CO and DHW filter. All elements are attached to the clamps. Pump block with deaerator valve. brass fittings for mounting. Filling tap.

Left hydraulic unit - Modular unit for supplying hot water to heating and hot water circuits: CO safety valve 0.3 MPa (3 bar). Automatic bypass. Brass fittings. All copper pipes are attached with clamps.

Three-way valve - The three-way valve is used to change the distribution of water (to the heating circuit or to the secondary heat exchanger). The valve is controlled from the electronic control unit (ECU) through a relay contact. The valve consists of a body made of composite material, and an electric drive (engine). When the machine is in standby mode, the valve is in the “SANITARY” position. Procedure for switching the 3-way valve. Boiler in standby mode, valve in “SANITARY” (DHW) position: When heating is switched on: the start of the operating cycle in “Heating” mode is delayed by 7 s (time required for the valve to switch electrically from “DHW” to “CO” ). When a command is received for DHW: the unit immediately starts operating in the “DHW” mode.

Valve in position “HEATING” (CO): When a DHW command is received: the valve switches from “CO” to “DHW”, while the pump and burner continue to work. After receiving a command for DHW: if the command for heating is not canceled, the pump and the burner are switched off for 7 s (the time required for the valve to switch from “DHW” to “CO” by means of an electric actuator. The Clas Evo System boiler starts working again in the “Heating” mode "". The 3-way valve is driven by an easily dismantled ELBI electric motor. The electric motor can be replaced without draining the water from the boiler. It is enough to remove the retainer and disconnect the power wire. The signal from the ECU goes to the engine in accordance with which mode (CO + SHVS or DHW only) is set on the control panel. The valve has two limit switches (right/left) that cut off the servomotor when the required position is reached.

Secondary heat exchanger - The secondary heat exchanger of the Ariston Klas Evo 24 ff boiler is attached to the hydraulic unit with two screws. The screw holes are located asymmetrically on the heat exchanger housing, so that it can only be installed in the correct position. Descale protection temperature setting - Aims to reduce the formation of scale in the secondary heat exchanger. In DHW mode, the burner turns off and on depending on the readings of the NTC1 and NTCs temperature sensors.

Pump block. Pump type: models 24 and 28 kW. Wilo MTSL 15/5 HE-2; model 32 kW. Wilo MTSL 15/6,7-2 CLF12. The ECU allows you to control the switching circulation pump from one speed, V2 (55 W), to another, V3 (80 W). In DHW mode, the pump always runs at V3 to ensure the best heat transfer. In heating mode, the pump can operate at one of two speeds. The value is determined by the temperature difference at the water supply to the heating circuit and the return fitting (dT). Procedure: Tsub.-reverse. T - 2 C more than V2; Tsub.-reverse T is greater than V3 where T= 20C (set by parameter 239 between 10 and 30C).

Switching to both lower and higher speeds is carried out with a delay of 5 minutes (unchangeable value). Parameter 238 of the Ariston Klas Evo boiler allows you to prohibit switching the pump from one speed to another: 0: fixed. rotation frequency 2; 1: fixed rotation frequency 3; 2: adjustable. The anti-sticking system turns on the circulation pump and the 3-way valve for 15 seconds every 21 hours from the last action. To control the pump speed, the value of parameter 823 can be used or the voltage (AC) between pins 5 and 6 of connector CN10 of the block can be measured. electronic control: 145 V: highest speed; 0 V: lowest speed;

Filling the heating circuit manually - The procedure for filling the CO circuit (empty) is as follows: Open the tap at the inlet of the cold mains water. Remove the deaerator cap. To open the filling valve, use magnetic key(fixed under the hydraulic unit) set the filling valve to the valve open position, the filling of the CO circuit starts.

Semi-automatic heating circuit make-up - The “Semi-automatic make-up” mode should only be used if the primary circuit needs to be made up. Do not use to fill an empty system. An alternating voltage of 230 V is supplied to the solenoid valve of the recharge (pins 1 and 2 of the CN12 connector of the computer), a resistance of 3.7 kOhm. In DHW mode, this mode is not active. Parameter 248 allows semi-automatic make-up to be disabled: 0: disabled; 1: allowed.

If the pressure in the system is less than 0.6 bar, the make-up mode is activated, the icon is displayed on the display of the Clas Evo System boiler; in this case, pressing the button 13 starts the cycle “Filling the system”:

The three-way valve switches to the CO position;
- If the pump was turned on, it turns off;
- if the burner was turned on, it turns off;
- after the first filling, pressure control is carried out; if the control result is negative, an error message 1P5 is generated (between B and A);
- control of constancy of pressure is carried out; if the control result is negative, an error message 6P1 is generated (between C and B1);
- to achieve the set pressure value, a second filling cycle is carried out.

Ariston Clas Evo boiler error codes (when filling)

Error 102 - The pressure sensor is not connected or there is a short circuit in it.
Error 109 - The pressure is higher than the maximum (3 bar).
Error 111 - The pressure is below the minimum (0.4 bar).
Error 1P4 - The pressure is lower than displayed (0.6 bar).
Error 1P5 - The first filling cycle was not completed successfully (the pressure in the boiler did not increase): press the appropriate button and try to fill again.
Error 1P6 - Pressure constancy control gave a negative result: press the appropriate button and try to fill again.
Error 1P7 - More than 5 filling cycles in 50 minutes, the filling button is blocked (to reset: disable and re-enable).
Error 1P8 - More than 6 filling cycles in 7 days, the filling button is blocked (for reset: Off-On).

Pressure sensor in the heating circuit - The proportional pressure sensor is designed to measure the pressure in the primary circuit. The measured value is displayed on the display of the boiler Ariston Class Evo 24 ff. The control is carried out by measuring the voltage ( direct current) between pins 8 and 9 of connector CN04. Correspondence of voltage and pressure values: 0 bar = 0.3 V, 1.5 bar = 2.5 V, 3 bar = 4.8 V. and exit), a protective shutdown 102 is carried out.

Bypass - The bypass in the boiler switches automatically, this unit does not need to be adjusted. In the event of pressure loss in the CO circuit due to thermostat or zone valve operations, the bypass ensures that the water flow through the main heat exchanger is at least 350 l/h. In addition, an automatic bypass prevents overheating of the heat exchanger, which can occur if there is insufficient water flow. In this case, the temperature in the boiler is adjusted in the usual way, when the temperature setpoint is reached, the burner is turned off. The bypass is located in the supply unit and is interlocked with a three-way safety valve.

Primary heat exchanger - The primary heat exchanger of the Ariston Clas Evo 24 FF, 24 CF, 28 FF, 15 FF boiler is made of copper with an anti-corrosion silicone coating. It is designed to transfer the heat of combustion products to water in the primary circuit. There is an overheating sensor with automatic reset, triggered at 102 ± 4 C. Model - Number of fins / dimensions: 24 CF - 82 / 260 x 180 mm, 28 CF - 89 / 300 x 180 mm, 24 FF - 91 / 260 x 180 mm, 28 FF - 91 / 260 x 180 mm, 32 FF - 105 / 300 x 180 mm .

Expansion tank - When the water temperature rises, the expansion tank compensates for the increase in its volume. The tank consists of two compartments separated by a styrene-butadiene rubber membrane. One compartment is filled with nitrogen, the second receives water from the primary circuit. The nitrogen compartment can shrink as the volume of water increases as the temperature rises. The expansion tank is designed for a heating system with a water volume of about 175 liters. Specifications- Capacity - 8 liters. The largest working temperature- 90 C. Nitrogen pressure - 0.1 MPa (1 bar). Greatest operating pressure- 3.0 MPa (1 bar).

DHW flow meter - The DHW flow meter has a turbine, which rotates the flow of water in the DHW circuit, and a speed meter, the signal from which is sent to the Clas Evo System boiler control unit. There is also a cold water filter to prevent contamination of the flow meter. In addition, there is a water hammer protection device (ECU controlled). The setting is parameter 252, which allows
set the response time from 0.5 to 20 s (default 0.5 s). The value of the water flow in the DHW circuit is indicated by parameter 825. It can also be displayed on the display by pressing the INFO button. For control, you can measure the voltage (DC) at connector CN14: 0 V = no flow; 5 V = no flow; 2 to 3 V = flow present. Water analysis is available: 100 l / h. There is no water analysis: 80 l / h.

Open combustion chamber - Flue pipe, Flue gas temperature sensor, Coolant overheating sensor, Temperature sensor (with a negative temperature coefficient) of water supply to the CO circuit (NTC 1), Burner and electrodes, Gas valve and spark ignition generator, DHW temperature sensor ( NTCs), Safety valve 0.3 MPa (3 bar), Pump, Water temperature sensor (NTC) on the CO return connection (NTC 2), Primary heat exchanger.

The operation of the Ariston Genus boiler in heating mode - The heating command can come from: room thermostat 1, room thermostat 2, timer-programmer, REMOCON remote control and room temperature sensor. The display shows C, then the flow temperature to the CO circuit (measured by the NTC1 probe). When the machine is in standby mode, the valve is in the “SANITARY” position. When the heating is turned on, the servomotor that blocked the output of the secondary heat exchanger is activated (the shaft extends), the pump input is connected to the heating circuit. The circulation device is started with a delay of 7 s after the heating command, so that the three-way valve has time to switch; after that, the circulation device directs water from the return fitting to the primary heat exchanger.

The fan turns on (sealed chamber models). After the pressure switch has tripped, the machine can proceed to the next step (while recheck the pressure switch is not activated until the next restart). If the relay fails, after 20 s the machine performs a safety shutdown 6P1, the fan continues to rotate until confirmed (sealed chamber models). After the air pressure switch has been triggered gas valve and the spark ignition generator are switched on. Gas supply is carried out at the rate of 80% of the ignition power in soft mode; this value can be adjusted using parameter 220. The presence of a flame is monitored by ion current (using a control electrode). Error indication 5P1 indicates a lack of ignition.

The Ariston Genus boiler makes an attempt to ignite in soft mode (at 90% power). In case of failure, fault 5P2 is displayed on the indicator, a third ignition attempt is made at 100% ignition power in soft mode. If the third attempt is also unsuccessful, the device stops. Guard delay 8 s. For control, temperature sensors are used at the flow to the circuit and the return fitting. The values of dT sub.-arr. are used. and the rate of temperature rise at the supply and return fittings. The pressure is measured with a pressure transducer. After detecting a flame in the apparatus, the heat output can be adjusted in accordance with the required heat output. Adjustment can be carried out in the entire range of thermal power values - from the maximum (set from the control panel - parameter 231) to the minimum (fixed; installed on the gas valve).

The burner shutdown temperature is adjusted as follows:

1st minute after flame detection: T off = T set. + 8C
- 2nd minute after flame detection: T off. = T set. +6C
- from 3 minutes after flame detection: T off. = T set. +4C

This arrangement prevents the burner from switching off too quickly when the temperature setting is reached. It is possible to set the delay before switching on again from 0 to 7 minutes (default 2 minutes, set from the control panel - parameter 236). The pump can operate at one of two speeds. The value is determined by the temperature difference at the water supply to the CO circuit and the return fitting. Protection against overheating is carried out using a temperature sensor with automatic reset (102±4C) at the supply to the CO circuit (even when the burner is off). When the sensor contacts are opened, the burner is switched off protectively, and after 5 s, if the contacts are still open, the device is blocked (not allowing it to be turned on again by the operator), the display shows error 101. From the moment the heating command is received, the “limit temperature” signal (88 C, fixed value) comes continuously from the supply water temperature sensor to the heating circuit (NTC 1). If the circulation in the CO circuit is disturbed, there is a possibility automatic switching bypass ( throughput no more than 350 l/h).

The operation of the Ariston Genus boiler in DHW mode - The water flow in the DHW circuit is measured using a flow meter. The boiler is now operating in SANITARY mode. The display shows the letter d and the temperature setting. When the machine is in standby mode, the valve is in the “SANITARY” position. If a DHW command is received while the machine is operating in CO mode, the three-way valve switches to the SANITARY position. In this case, the circulation pump and the burner continue to work. The outlet of the secondary heat exchanger is connected to the inlet of a pump that supplies water to the primary heat exchanger. The pump (speed 3) pumps out water from the secondary outlet and sends it to the primary heat exchanger. The fan turns on at maximum speed (models with sealed chamber). After the air pressure switch has tripped, you can proceed to the next step.

If the relay does not work, after 20 seconds the device performs a protective shutdown (error 6P1), the fan continues to rotate until acknowledged (models with a sealed chamber). In models with an open chamber, instead, control is carried out by an overheating sensor (it works even during the operation of the device). If the overheating sensor of the combustion products is triggered, the apparatus stops 601. After the air pressure switch is triggered, the gas valve and the spark ignition generator are turned on. The gas supply is carried out in accordance with the heat output in the soft ignition mode (set from the control panel parameter 220). The presence of a flame is controlled by
ion current (using a control electrode). Indication 5P1 indicates the absence of ignition. The Ariston Genus 24 CF / FF, 35 FF, 30 FF boiler attempts to ignite in soft mode (at 100% power).

In case of failure, fault 5P2 is displayed on the indicator, a third ignition attempt is made at 100% ignition power in soft mode. If the third attempt is also unsuccessful, the device stops with error 501. Guard delay 8 s. To control the flow of water, temperature sensors are used at the supply to the circuit and the return fitting. The values of T sub.–arr. and the rate of temperature rise at the supply and return fittings. The pressure is measured with a pressure transducer. The burner flame can be adjusted over the entire range of thermal power values - from the maximum (installed on the gas valve) to the minimum (also installed on the gas valve). The burner runs until the anti-scale temperature setting is reached. This temperature is measured by the NTCs sensor in the DHW circuit. Overheating protection is provided by a temperature sensor with automatic reset (102 ± 4 C) at the heating circuit flow (even when the burner is switched off). When the sensor contacts are opened, the burner is switched off safely, and after 5 s, if the contacts are still open, the device is blocked (not allowing the operator to restart it), the display shows error 101.

Operating modes

Chimney Sweep Mode - The mode is used for proper analysis of combustion products and calibration by maximum and minimum values. Press the Reset button and hold for 5 s. If the boiler is in the “Winter” mode, the three-way valve is in the “CO” position and the burner is switched on even without a heating command. The device is in the "Summer" mode: in the absence of a command for DHW, the device operates in the CO mode; if there is a command for DHW, the device operates in DHW mode. In Chimney Sweep mode, temperature measurement (by NTC probe 1) is performed as follows: Summer mode over Off: 86 C; On: 81 C; Winter mode over Off: 89 C; On: 84 C. Press the RESET button to exit Sweep mode. If this is not done, after 10 minutes the device automatically exits this mode.

Comfort mode - In this mode, the Ariston Genus 24 FF, 35 FF, 24 CF, 30 FF boiler starts to supply hot water to the DHW circuit faster. For this purpose, in the primary circuit of the boiler, heat. Press the “C” (comfort) button. In Comfort mode, the display shows the COMFORT icon and the letter C, as well as the temperature measured by the NTC1 sensor. The device switches to Comfort mode for each command on the DHW and maintains it for 30 minutes. To exit this mode, press the “C” button again. Menu parameter 2 50 allows you to set the Comfort mode as follows: 0: disabled; 1: switched on for 30 minutes after the command for DHW; 2: always on.

Frost protection mode - The mode is active only when the ON/OFF switch is in the ON position. The transition to this mode is carried out according to the readings of the temperature sensor at the supply to the CO circuit (NTC1). Temperature measured by NTC1 probe: 3 to 8 C - The pump runs at speed III. The three-way valve switches alternately for 1 minute to the “CO” mode, for 1 minute to the “DHW” mode. The display shows the letter F and the temperature value measured by the NTC1 probe. Action time: until the temperature measured by the NTC1 sensor reaches 9 C. Temperature measured by the NTC 1 sensor: below 3 C - The burner starts at minimum power; The pump runs at speed III. The three-way valve is in the “CO” position. The display of the Ariston Genus boiler alternately displays the letter F, the number 2 and the temperature value measured by the NTC1 sensor. Action time: until the temperature measured by the NTC 1 sensor reaches 30 C.

If the NTC 1 supply temperature sensor to the CO circuit does not work (open or a short circuit occurs), the transition to the “Freeze protection” mode is carried out according to the readings of the NTC 2 sensor on the return fitting, but in this case only the pump works (the burner does not turn on) . The display does not indicate the frost protection mode, but the NTC 1 sensor error code 110 in case of a short circuit or open circuit. The unit goes into frost protection mode even if the NTC 2 sensor is not active (open or short circuited), but in this case only the pump works (the burner does not turn on). The display does not show the designation of the frost protection mode, but the NTC 2 sensor error code 112 - a short circuit or open circuit. The machine goes into frost protection mode even if there has been a shutdown due to no flame detection, error code 501, or a blockage due to overheating, error code 101, but in this case only the pump is running (the burner does not turn on), and the display shows the display does not indicate the frost protection mode, but the lockout error code. In case of shutdown
power supply, all settings are saved in the device, and after power is restored, it switches to the mode in which it worked before the shutdown.

Ariston Genus boiler combustion products removal system

On the outside of the apparatus there is a flue gas collector with two samplers for determining the temperature of the flue gases and air at the inlet, the content of O2, CO2, etc.

Air pressure switch - To control the proper removal of combustion products, the device is provided with a pressure switch. 25 kW: Open = 50 Pa (0.50 mbar); closed = 60 Pa (0.60 mbar); 30 kW: Open = 74 Pa (0.74 mbar); closed = 89 Pa (0.89 mbar); 32 kW: Open = 74 Pa (0.74 mbar); closed = 89 Pa (0.89 mbar); The first pressure value is taken at the outlet of the fan (nipple “L” of the pressure switch). The second pressure value is taken in the combustion chamber (nipple “H” of the pressure switch). Both values are negative (below atmospheric), but the pressure switch monitors the difference in the indicated values (to measure this difference, you can connect a differential pressure gauge to the pressure taps located on the top of the device). During operation of the Ariston Genus boiler, the contacts of the pressure switch are closed. The device responds to opening contacts. 607: Pressure switch contacts closed before start of ignition sequence. 6P1: The pressure switch contacts are not closed, although the fan has turned on.

Variable Speed Fan - The following fans are used: 24 kW: with 35 W motor; 28 kW: with 45 W motor; 32 kW: with 60 W motor; A Hall sensor is used to measure the fan speed. Upon receipt of a command for heating, the ECU starts the fan at maximum speed (up to 2800 min–1). After the pressure switch is activated, the fan switches to the ignition speed (different for DHW and CO modes), which allows optimizing the ignition of the burner. Once the presence of a flame has been detected by means of a control electrode, the fan speed can be controlled according to the required heat output.

The fan speed is regulated in accordance with the gas supply through the gas valve in the direction of increasing or decreasing, respectively, more or less current is supplied to its winding. To control the rotational speed, a Hall sensor is installed on the front side of the fan. If the fan speed falls more than 100 min–1 below the minimum speed (1750 min–1) within 10 s, or if the connection to the Hall sensor is detected, error 604 is output: fan off delay: 40 s at maximum speed ; 2 min - at the minimum. To control the fan speed in min-1, use parameter 8 22 or measure the frequency of the signal between pins 4 and 5 of connector CN07. Parameter 222 makes it possible to disable the switching of the pump from one speed to another: 0: adjustable; 1: fixed.

Ventilation shutdown delay - The fan operates with a shutdown delay: 40 s at a frequency of 1900 min–1 (after trips 501 and 103); 20 s at maximum speed (after no water circulation shutdowns: 103, 104, 105, 106 and 107), 10 s at 1900 min–1 (after no water circulation shutdowns: 1P1, 1P2 and 1P3); 5 s for 1900 min–1 (after each shutdown of the burner).

Fan off delay after heating command: parameter 243= 0: 5 s for 1900 min-1 (every time after burner off); parameter 243= 1: 3 min for 1900 min–1 (every time after the burner has been switched off).

Fan stop delay after DHW command: parameter 254= 0: Tsub. less than 75 C = turns off without delay; Tsub. more than 75 C = 3 min (minimum speed); parameter 254= 1: 3 min (fixed time, minimum speed).

Flue gas control (Ariston Genus 24 CF boilers, open combustion chamber) - An overheating sensor with automatic reset, installed in the flue gas duct, sends a signal to the computer, which ensures proper control, provided that the computer has power. When the overheating sensor is triggered, the device is switched off protectively, the error code 601 is displayed on the indicator. Reason for triggering: The temperature in the combustion products outlet path exceeded the sensor triggering setting, 75 ± 3 C. After 12 minutes, the sensor is automatically reset, since the temperature has time to drop during this time . To immediately reset the sensor, you can turn off and then turn on the power to the ECU. Error messages when the overheat sensor is triggered - 601: The overheat sensor has been triggered (safety shutdown). 601: open circuit of the overheat sensor (safety shutdown).

Flue gas exhaust system (hermetic chamber, FF models) - The device allows installation of both coaxial (60/100 mm) and two-channel (80/80 mm) gas ducts (respectively, two connection options). Flue gas samplers are built into the throat of the flue gas manifold.

Maintenance and start-up of the gas boiler Ariston Uno

Preparing the wall-mounted gas boiler Ariston Uno for work

If the Ariston Uno 24 mi boiler is installed in an apartment, it must be checked that all regulations regarding air supply and ventilation of the room are observed (in accordance with current regulations).

Periodically check the water pressure with thermomanometer "L" and check (when the system is cold) that it is between 0.2 and 1.3 bar.

If the pressure is below the minimum value, it must be restored using the filling valve located at the bottom of the boiler.

When the pressure reaches 0.7 bar, close the valve. If the pressure drop occurs very frequently, there may be a water leak in the system. In this case, the leak must be repaired.

Switching on procedure - Press the "C" button. The electronic device will ensure that the burner is ignited without any manual intervention, depending on the heating or hot water command.

If after 10 seconds the burner does not ignite, the safety devices of the Ariston Uno 24 mi boiler will block the gas outlet and the red light diode “G” will light up.

To turn on the boiler in this case, press the button "B". If blocking occurs again, check that the gas cock is open.

Heating regulation - It is possible to regulate the temperature of the water in the heating circuit using knob "A", setting the pointer between the minimum and maximum values. The temperature may vary between 45°C and 80°C.

Control with chrono-thermostat - If a chrono-thermostat is installed, it is recommended to keep the heating temperature setting at maximum value for higher efficiency of the boiler Ariston Uno 24 mi.

Some failures in the operation of the boiler may be due to incorrect parameters in the service menu settings. This can happen, for example, after unskilled intervention or ... as it once happened in my practice, after flooding the boiler board with water.

Of course, first of all, the service menu serves to configure, adjust and diagnose the operation of the boiler. In this article I will share how to enter the service menu of the Ariston Class 24 FF boiler and how to change the parameters, as well as give the values \u200b\u200bthat were set in my boiler from the factory.

Before proceeding with any settings, it is important to carefully consider the menu structure, as well as to understand whether you need to intervene and change any parameters. Incorrect intervention can lead to serious malfunctions. For example, there is a parameter that is set depending on the version of the boiler and is used by specialists when replacing the board.

Given all of the above, you must understand that some of the parameters I have given as "Factory Settings" may differ from those you need specifically, and therefore you carry out all these gestures and settings at your own peril and risk.

Quick article navigation

Ariston boiler menu structure

At first it may seem complicated, but as you figure it out, everything will be simple and clear, so:

Each parameter is identified by a three-digit numeric code. For example 228 (this is just a parameter code that depends on the version of the boiler)

The first digit of the three-digit code means a separate menu group, the boiler has six separate menu groups, each responsible for its own settings section. Here they are.

2 - Boiler settings

3 - Solar collector and storage boiler

4 - Zone 1 parameters

5 - Zone 2 parameters

7 - Testing and maintenance

8 - Technical parameters.

The second digit of the three-digit code indicates the submenu, and the third is the parameter itself to which access is granted.

For example, the code 228 already known to us stands for: 2 - Boiler settings (this is the Menu), 2 - Basic boiler settings (Submenu), 8 - Boiler version (Parameter).

Thus, by dialing the three-digit code 228, we get access to the set value of this parameter, which, according to the table, can vary from 0 to 5 and depends on the version of the boiler.

I will provide tables with menu codes and a description of what is regulated by a specific code a little lower, but for now let's figure out how to enter the boiler service menu.

Service menu of the boiler

For all manipulations with switching modes, only 4 buttons are involved - Plus, Minus, Ok / Menu, ESC.

It is important to understand that not all menu items of the boiler will be available to you, some of them will become available only when additional devices are connected to the boiler, such as external sensors or a solar collector.

And most of the menu items are available only by the service code, I'll tell you about it below, but for now, "let's practice on cats"

Our kitties will be values that are open to free access. But first, read how to work with the menu.

How to work with the menu

By pressing the “OK” button once, the number 2 will flash on the digital indicator - this will be the first digit of the future three-digit code (Menu group number)

With the plus and minus buttons, you can change this value from group number 2 to any other group. To fix the selected group for further entering the code number, you need to press “OK” again - after that the second digit of the future three-digit code starts flashing (Submenu)

Having selected the submenu, we fix it by pressing the “OK” button again and in a similar way select and fix the third digit (Parameter)

Everything! Now the screen will no longer display the three-digit code itself, but the set value of this parameter, which can be changed by pressing "plus" "minus". After making the necessary changes, do not forget to fix them by clicking "OK".

Please note that after selecting the desired menu, after a few seconds of inactivity, the three-digit code (to remind you where you are) and the parameter corresponding to this menu will be displayed in turn.

The ESC button is used to exit the settings menu and return to the previous step. The exit is carried out step by step, one press is equal to one step back.

Practicing

Now, if you want to practice, to better understand the switching order. For example, enter the menu code 701, this will turn on the forced air removal mode, in fact, turn on the pump in the boiler for 6 minutes.

When this mode is enabled, the symbol “P I -” will light up on the display. You can exit the “Anti-air” mode without waiting 6 minutes if you press ESC.

Then, using ESC, try to go back and switch to mode 300, which means (Set water temperature in the boiler) in the values \u200b\u200byou can see the temperature that you currently have on the DHW regulator.

How to enter the closed sections of the menu by access code

So, if you understand how to work in the menu, then it's time to move on to more serious things. The vast majority of all settings are closed from accidental interference by an access code. Therefore, in order to proceed with the boiler settings, we perform the following steps.

Press "OK" several times until the indicator shows the value 222 - Then hold "Plus" until the value becomes 234 - then again "OK" - Everything is ready!

Now we have one number 2 constantly lit and another 2 blinks - Which, as you understand, means the following - Menu 2 is on and you can select a submenu, and then a parameter. By setting the desired three-digit code and clicking "OK" we will see the value of the parameter that can be changed.
