Procedure

  4. When lowering the body into the pit, distribute the load from the mass of the body evenly over all mounting loops.
  5. The plastic housing must be mounted strictly in the design position. After the body has been installed to the design mark, it is necessary to make sure that it has no damage and is installed strictly along the design axes. Check the verticality of the body. With a horizontal foundation, the KNS will stand vertically.
  6. After installing the pumping station on a concrete base, holes are drilled around the entire perimeter in the skirt of the pumping station (8-12 pieces, depending on the diameter of the station) with a diameter of 12-16 mm, a length of 18-22 mm) for installation anchor bolts. After that, the bolts are inserted into the holes, clogged and tightened.
  7. At a high level of groundwater, in addition to fixing the sewage pumping station with anchor bolts, to a concrete base, it is necessary lower part KNS, approximately 0.5-0.8 m pour concrete. The calculation of the weight of concrete is carried out in the scope of the working draft or the project for the production of works.
  8. After fixing the SPS to the concrete base, backfilling sand, layer by layer with tamping and watering to the level of the inlet and pressure collectors. Before backfilling, make sure that the SPS housing is not damaged. After installing the SPS on the base and checking its verticality, start backfilling. (Sandy backfill serves as a gasket between the SPS body and undisturbed soil and serves as a protection of the SPS from soil movements).

  2. Then backfilling with sand is carried out in layers, to the ground level with layer-by-layer tamping, evenly over the entire diameter of the sewage pumping station. If these conditions are not observed, the body or neck may be deformed.
  3. Then the pumps are installed in the housing of the KNS. The lowering of the pumps along the guides in the SPS can be done manually (if the pumps have a small mass) or using lifting devices type of hoists or cranes (if the pumps have a large mass).
  4. Then it is mounted. The pump control cabinet, according to the project, can be placed on the housing of the pumping station in a special metal box (protection against vandals), near the pumping station in a metal box or in any room located close to the pumping station. It is easier and cheaper for everyone to place the pump control panel on the pumping station housing. At our production facility, we have developed platforms with sealed inputs to the sewage pumping station, for the installation of metal boxes inside which there are pump control cabinets. Electrical cables from pumps in the standard have a length of 10 meters and if the pump control cabinet is not located near the sewage pumping station, then it is necessary to buy an imported, expensive cable for extension, which increases the cost of installing the pumping station.
  5. The next step is to connect the central cable to the pump control panel. The cable is selected depending on the power of the pumps and according to the project for the installation of the sewage pumping station.
  6. Then, hanging floats are hung inside the SPS for the operation of the pumps.

When installing a sewage pumping station in a lowland, in a place where a large amount of melt water accumulates in spring, the project should provide for an elongated neck. In the standard version, pumping stations are manufactured with upper necks 250-300 mm high from the upper cylindrical part of the plastic housing. The elongated hermetic neck has a height of 500-600 mm from the top of the case, so spring waters it is very problematic to get inside the KNS mine. Fiberglass or with upper necks are made 100% airtight and it is very undesirable if sand and other dirt get into the KNS body, which can damage pumping equipment.

  • Is garbage shredding equipment used in the SPS mine?

    Inside the KNS housing, you can install a garbage chopper (crusher), which are of two types:

    1. Crushers of pipe type, the pipe crusher is installed in pipes, for crushing of firm inclusions in the size of 6-12 mm.
