Membrane instead of concrete preparation for the foundation. Slab foundation base

The foundation of any structure is the most important part. He must cope not only with the load of the structure assigned to him, but also be resistant to natural factors. Soil moisture, rain or groundwater and much more. All this does not benefit the concrete foundation, gradually destroying it and reducing bearing capacity... In order to prevent the harmful effects of soil and moisture, the concrete is insulated with a waterproofing fiber or membrane. This cheap way will help avoid costly consequences.

Types and properties of the membrane

There are several types of membrane waterproofing systems. They differ in the materials from which they are made, in resistance to mechanical wear, frost resistance and water absorption. The combination of these qualities provides waterproofing to the concrete foundation. For the highest quality waterproofing of the foundation from destructive factors, it is necessary to competently approach the choice of fiber and its installation. Basically, two factors are taken into account when choosing a membrane. The first is to account for moisture in the soil, and the second is the depth of laying concrete foundation... In addition, fiber for waterproofing is divided into two types: profile and film (polymer).

The profiled type of fiber is a durable sheet or roll material. It is made from durable dense polyethylene. By profile embossing, the fiber increases its strength due to the appearance of hollow voids. This type of membrane protects foundations that lie below the water table.

Polymer waterproofing fiber is a roll material consisting of many layers. It is used in underground waterproofing concrete foundation, above the water table. Fiber does not allow the foundation to come into contact with the soil, which prevents moisture from penetrating into the concrete structure.

Fiber has several advantages over analog waterproofing materials such as bitumen or roofing felt. The fiber has a long service life, guaranteed for at least 50 years. It is not subject to decay and salt solutions.

Waterproofing with a polymer membrane

About 50 years ago, in Europe and North America, they began to use membrane waterproofing of foundations. From that moment on, large-scale production of these materials began. Progress does not stand still. Over time, the variety and functionality of waterproofing expanded, which contributed to the emergence of completely new properties. Now polymer fiber is a high-tech product that, due to its advantages, provides waterproofing of both horizontal and vertical surfaces.

Polymer film fiber is of several types, differing from each other in the materials from which it is made. The most popular types of membranes in construction are:

  • TPO membrane - made on the basis of thermoplastic polyophenes;
  • EPDM membrane - made of polymerized ethylene-propylene-diene monomer. Otherwise, it is called synthetic rubber;
  • PVC membrane - made of plasticized polyvinyl chloride.

Due to the large width of the rolls, the film waterproofing allows you to achieve a more solid coverage, using a minimum of seams. And the low weight does not have an additional load, unlike bitumen.

Features of PVC membranes

It is the most common type of waterproofing fiber due to its low price and ease of waterproofing. It is very resistant to saline solutions and also has good flexibility at low temperatures. This greatly facilitates work in winter.

The canvas consists of two layers. The top layer is a mixture of plasticizers, fire retardants and limestone. The bottom layer is made of clear and colored PVC. They stain PVC in order to quickly detect damaged surfaces of the material.

For convenience in waterproofing works, and rational use of the material, membranes are produced with different thickness... The choice of thickness depends on the depth of the concrete.

Advice! In order to prevent damage to the membrane, a layer of thermally bonded geotextile should be laid on the foundation before installing it. It will prevent direct contact between the fiber and the foundation.

The PVC membrane is very easy to install. Canvases fit easily construction hairdryer under the influence of hot air. This provides an almost solid surface with sealed seams and good strength.

When working with PVC fiber, you need to be very careful, as it is easily exposed to various types of damage. This is its essential drawback.

Features of TPO membrane

It is a two-layer material, which contains a polymer blend of EPDM and propylene. Fiber is a durable, heat-resistant and waterproof material. In terms of properties, it resembles something in between plastic and rubber, since it has the qualities of both the first and the second. The second layer is a forming mesh of synthetic threads, which gives the material additional strength.
TPO membranes have good elasticity. Thanks to these virtues, given view waterproofing is widely used in the construction of swimming pools, ponds and drinking water tanks. In waterproofing foundations, membrane TPOs are practically not used due to their high cost.

Features of EPDM membranes

An extremely elastic type of membranes calmly withstands various mechanical influences, while maintaining its properties. synthetic rubber EPDM fibers are not afraid of strong negative temperatures nor scorching heat. The high strength of the waterproofing membrane is given by a polyester reinforcing mesh.

EPDM works well with a wide variety of bituminous insulation materials. Moreover, this type is absolutely safe for the environment.
Unfortunately, EPDM cannot boast of good joint strength, since all joints are made on an adhesive basis. They are significantly inferior in reliability to welded seams.

Profiled membrane

The profiled membrane is informally called heavy waterproofing. But not because of its heavy weight, but because of its use in those conditions in which other membranes cannot cope with the task. It consists of both single-layer and multi-layer high-strength polyethylene. It is called profiled due to the presence of protrusions in the form of small pimpled thorns. The most popular rolls range from 1 to 2.5 meters. Sheet thickness from 0.5 to 1.5 mm. Profiled fibers are used for waterproofing foundations exposed to groundwater and melt water.

A profile waterproofing membrane is good because it can change the direction of groundwater. Thanks to it, streams of species can be redirected from underground structures, tunnels or passages to drainage. The membrane is well tolerated by salt solutions, acids and fungi. Due to the special section, water does not get under the fiber, while the void is ventilated above the concrete foundation.

The profiled membrane is lightweight, which allows it to be installed and laid alone. And it is fixed either by gluing on bituminous mastic, or using a special pistol, it is hermetically attached to the dowels with special washers.

When performing vertical waterproofing of the foundation with a membrane, the following sequence of actions is used:

  1. The foundation must be thoroughly cleaned of debris and soil.
  2. Prime the base with a deep penetration primer.
  3. Apply bituminous mastic to the outside of the wall.
  4. If the project indicates that the geotextile is being laid, then the profiled membrane must be laid with protrusions outward. If the geotextile is not provided, it is laid with protrusions inward.
  5. Glue the profile membrane sheets tightly and fix them with dowels.
  6. Fasten the membrane sheet to the top of the concrete using a clamping bar.
    Glue geotextiles on top of the fiber. Thus, channels are formed for the drainage of groundwater between the membrane and the geotextile.

Fastening membrane waterproofing is also allowed on an untreated foundation, if the building is located in the zone of permeable soil. Any precipitation, in liquid form, is quickly absorbed to the depth of the soil. That excludes capillary suction of moisture by the surface of the foundation.

Conclusion

When choosing membranes for waterproofing a foundation, it is necessary to clearly define the goals and objectives, the type of structure, as well as the conditions under which the building will be operated. In addition, it is very important to pay attention to the quality of the material and its manufacturer. In today's market, the best manufacturers are the Isostud, Izolit, Delta, PlanterGeo and PlanterLife trademarks.

We will learn more about how to properly waterproof the foundation using polymer fiber with our own hands in the next video

If the waterproofing of the foundation is violated, its service life is reduced, and the building becomes unusable. One of the innovations is the use of a profiled membrane.

Main functions and advantages of a profiled membrane

The membranes are made of polyethylene coated with a thermoplastic material. Therefore, such materials have a wide range of applications, as well as increased strength. The profiled membrane consists of high pressure polyethylene, on top of which there are empty convex elements. Thanks to such protrusions, the pressure is distributed over the entire area of the material, this helps to prevent deformation.
Profiled membranes are distinguished by high strength, durability, ease of installation, ease of processing, affordable cost, and they are also resistant to various temperature changes.

Where is the profiled membrane used?

The profiled membrane can be used in various directions.

  1. A drainage system is made of the material near the walls of the foundation, this ensures that water flows into the drainage drain.
  2. The membrane performs waterproofing protection of the foundation from ground water and precipitation.
  3. The material is used as drainage, which is horizontal.
  4. Also, using such a material, you can create wall ventilation, for this it is attached to the wall from the inside.

A profiled membrane is used in the construction of road surfaces, underground passages, garages, basements, foundations, cellars.

What is planter standard profiled membrane?

The profiled planter standard membrane consists of high-density polyethylene, it has rounded protruding elements, eight millimeters high. The surface of such material allows the soil pressure to be distributed along the entire perimeter of the foundation, that is, point loads do not appear, and deformation is excluded.
Thanks to special protrusions, air enters the space near the walls, that is, high-quality ventilation occurs, the temperature and humidity indicators in the room improve.
The planter standard waterproofing material has increased mechanical stability, prevents the development of fungal elements, does not react to temperature changes, and ultraviolet rays. The material can be laid horizontally or vertically, and the edges of the sheets can be welded if necessary.

What functions does a profiled membrane perform?

The profiled membrane serves waterproofing material, and protects the foundation from soil sedimentation, germination of roots of various plants, water from rain and snow. Material can replace preparatory work under concrete, protects the base plate from groundwater.
When covering walls with outside, the indicators of temperature and humidity are improved. And basements are protected from soil moisture.
When the walls are covered from the inside, the temperature and humidity indicators are observed in the room. In the basement, moisture is released into the drainage system.

Planter standard profiled membrane laying technology

Laying the membrane with damp walls

The profiled membrane allows you to dry the too wet surface of the walls, no matter how it will be laid, inside or outside. Laying is carried out along the entire perimeter of the floor and wall surfaces, fastening is performed using dowels through metal elements. In the lower section, a plaster mesh is attached to the membrane, it can be of a metal or polymer type, it depends on the further material.

Laying to protect waterproofing

No matter what type of waterproofing material is used, it needs reliable protection. The profiled membrane helps to protect the waterproofing from construction debris and germinated roots, while the base material does not undergo deformation.
Laying the planter standard membrane is not difficult, it is spread with an overlap, fixed above the waterproofing layer with a metal strip or using dowels.

The use of a membrane as a substitute for foundation preparation

If the groundwater level is low, then the basis is compacted soil, carefully leveled. The groundwater level can be raised by sprinkling fine gravel, 10 centimeters thick, on the ground.
The profiled membrane is laid with convex elements downward. The rolls are rolled with an overlap of about 10 centimeters. All connections can be additionally glued with a special bitumen-rubber tape, this will help prevent milk from flowing out of concrete and protect the structure from ground water.
In case of mechanical damage to the membrane material, that is, ruptures, it can be glued together with tapes. When laying the membrane over an area of considerable size, the cross-section joints are shifted by 50 centimeters. All joints are closed with self-adhesive tape, they can also be welded or dry sealed.

The difference between the planter standard membrane from other materials

The material has a wide range of uses, as it is strong, durable, and fully fulfills its functions. Due to the arrangement of the convex elements, the membrane has mechanical rigidity, and has the ability to withstand a load of up to 25 tons. That is, the profiled planter standard membrane is resistant to loads of various types, and does not lend itself to deformation.
This material is based on polyethylene, which has a high density and is waterproof. Thus, the membrane provides reliable protection surfaces from moisture ingress. Water is discharged through special recesses, which are located between the convex elements. The polyethylene material is resistant to chemical elements, fungi, and other microbes. The membrane withstands aggressive substances that dissolve in the soil, and does not deform when temperature changes.
The planter standard profiled membrane is used to perform drainage system walls, and also effectively protects the waterproofing material. This material is lightweight, which does not exert significant stress on the structure. Also, thanks to this, the unloading and transportation of the material is not time consuming.
The material is easy to lay, it is overlapped horizontally and vertically, and the joints are covered with a special tape. When using a membrane, the moisture level and temperature regime stabilized by removing moisture from surfaces.

Features of laying the planter standard membrane

Laying the membrane is easy, due to its low weight and roll type of packaging, the material spreads quickly, for this there is no need to use special equipment or hired workers.
The technology of laying a profiled planter standard membrane is made by rolling out a roll, and its subsequent fixing with dowels or a metal rail.
First you need to determine which side to properly lay the material. The raised surface should face the waterproofing material or foundation. Due to the unevenness between the surface and the membrane, air passes freely, this contributes to high-quality ventilation and the removal of excess moisture.
Also, in order to qualitatively protect the base of the building from excessive moisture, the material is laid with an overlap, leaving a small gap, and the ends are fixed with a bituminous mastic. Fix the membrane with dowels, which have a large metal washer.
At high humidity the surfaces of the walls, they are sanitized, while the profiled-type membrane is laid vertically. Before making additional surface finishing, fixing a special mesh for plaster. When laying a profiled membrane indoors, they also use a mesh for plastering or plasterboard with plasterboard on metal elements... At the same time, the indicators of humidity and temperature in the room are stabilized. The profiled membrane provides surfaces high-quality ventilation and in basements moisture flows down the grooves into the drainage system, without lingering on the walls.

Main conclusions

The planter standard profiled membrane is an effective protection for the foundation from groundwater ingress and prevents the destruction of the waterproofing layer.
The membrane has an affordable cost, thanks to this, it is used in preparation for concrete during the construction of the foundation. This allows you to quickly build a structure and save on costs. The canvas can be laid on various surfaces, the work is not laborious, since the material has a convenient roll-type packaging, and a low weight.
Due to its high technical performance and convex elements located on the surface of the web, the material is able to distribute the load evenly over the entire surface. Due to this, there is no deformation and rupture of the membrane, and a point-like load is also excluded. The planter standard profiled membrane is durable and can serve for more than 50 years.

Perhaps, only the multifunctional system of protection and waterproofing "Tefond" is able to cope with the problem of waterproofing, practically, of any building structures.

Today we will talk about such a unique feature of this system as a replacement concrete preparation.

Typically, in construction practice, foundation slabs and tiled floors are laid on a specially prepared base. This base is made of the so-called "lean concrete", in which the proportions of cement and water are significantly reduced in relation to the volumes of the components of ready-mixed concrete, and the content of filler: crushed stone and gravel is increased. An even surface, obtained with a layer of "lean concrete", 15-20 cm thick, serves as the basis for the foundation slabs.

The arrangement of this foundation is called "concrete preparation". Laying such a foundation requires an appropriate amount of excavation, removal from the construction site, delivery of concrete, concrete work under certain weather conditions and holding the foundation for a certain period of time. These works are expensive, difficult to schedule in terms of execution time, and they often lead to disruption of construction schedules.

The use of the multifunctional system of protection and waterproofing "Tefond" is an alternative to the described concrete preparation. Geomembranes "Tefond", "Tefond Plus" and "Tefond HP" perform the functions of a stabilizing, separating and insulating layer of the structure.

This method is very convenient from a practical and technical point of view, and also provides tangible economic benefits. Geomembranes of the "Tefond" system protect concrete from moisture, as well as from chemical and biological effects of the environment.

The profiled membrane "Tefond" creates optimal conditions for concrete hardening, because necessary for concrete"Cement milk" does not go into the ground. The profiled surface of the membrane gives it the necessary rigidity, which allows the reinforcement cage to be laid directly on it and concreted. The surface area of "Tefond", due to the protrusions, exceeds a flat surface similar to the perimeter by 25%.

Accordingly, than larger area surface, the less pressure on the underlying layers of the base. The spiked surface of the membrane creates additional friction at the base to inhibit cracking of the slab. And, of course, the installation of the Tefond membrane is a multiple saving of time, in comparison with works on the arrangement of concrete preparation.

Below are the schematic diagrams of laying foundation slabs by the "classical method" - "on lean concrete", as well as, using Tefond geomembranes, which, in fact, replace the layer of "lean concrete" and do it much more efficiently, being, which is very important , reliable waterproofing (click on the image to enlarge).

This technology, replacing concrete preparation with a multifunctional waterproofing system "Tefond", has a number of obvious and indisputable advantages:

Ensure high rates of work (2000-3000 m2 / shift)

Avoid time-consuming concrete preparation

Significantly reduce the labor intensity of work

Protect the base plate from moisture

Even, at first glance, the indisputable advantages of using TEFOND profiled membranes are visible.

1. High mechanical strength.

2. Water tightness - mechanical lock with sealant and self-adhesive tape "ELOTENE" in the areas of transverse overlap of the material.

3. Fast and easy installation - no special equipment required.

4. Reducing the labor intensity of work and ensuring high rates of their production.

5. Saving time and financial costs for the device of concrete preparation.

During the construction of any building, we inevitably come across such a concept as concrete preparation. It is made of low-grade concrete in order to obtain a flat surface so that waterproofing work can be carried out in the future. When erecting buildings with a low groundwater level, only anti-droplet horizontal waterproofing of the foundation slab is used. In this case, complex ones can be avoided. expensive work on the creation of concrete preparation, and use the profiled membrane Planter.

Using a Planter membrane to replace concrete preparation will allow you to:

  • to avoid wasting time for the device of concrete preparation;
  • ensure high rates of work production;
  • significantly simplify work;
  • protect the foundation;
  • and even build the object ahead of schedule!

The Planter profiled membrane creates optimal conditions for concrete hardening. since the "cement milk" necessary for concrete does not go into the ground. The spiked surface of the membrane gives it the necessary rigidity, which allows the reinforcement cage to be laid directly on it and concreted.

The surface area of the Planter membrane is 25% larger than the surface area of a flat material, due to the protrusions. For example: on 1 m² of soil, 1 m² of concrete preparation can be laid, so when we lay the foundation, it will press on 1 m² of soil. And if we lay Planter standard or extra instead of concrete preparation, then the foundation will press on 1.25 m² of membrane and 1 m² of soil.

With the same foundation weight, the ground pressure will be less where the pressure is distributed over a large area, that is, where the Planter is used. Speaking simple language- the larger the surface area, the less pressure on the underlying layers of the base. Also, the spiked surface of the membrane creates additional friction at the base, which inhibits the cracking of the slab.

The order of work

  1. The Planter standard and Planter extra profiled membranes are laid after leveling and tamping the soil (crushed stone). avoid time-consuming device of concrete preparation.
  2. Measure the length and width of the surface to be covered with the membrane, then cut off the required amount of material.
  3. Lay the membrane with protrusions downward with an overlap on the longitudinal seams - 7-10 cm, on the transverse seams - 20 cm.
  4. Glue the seam on top with 20 cm wide Nicoband self-adhesive sealing tape, or glue the edges of the membrane with 10 cm Nicoband DUO tape. For any method, the overlap width must be observed.
  5. The transverse seams must be offset from each other by at least 50 cm.
  6. Mount the armature with clamps (plastic armature legs, usually supplied with the armature or fasteners to it) directly on the Planter membrane.

The potential service life of the Planter profiled membrane is over 50 years.

The use of this technology is approved by the expertise of TsNIIPromzdaniy.

Layout of materials when performing work on replacing concrete preparation with a Planter standard or Planter extra membrane.

  1. Level compacted soil.
  2. Profiled membrane "Planter standard" or "Planter extra" (the choice of membrane depends on the loads that will act on the substrate).
  3. Nicoband DUO self-adhesive sealing tape.
  4. Foundation slab.
  5. Waterstop TH VR 240.

Auxiliary and connecting materials

In addition to membrane roll materials, the manufacturer's line includes all the necessary accompanying materials for fixing the canvas to different types of surfaces and connecting the strips in the vertical and horizontal plane.

Planter Profile polyethylene profile is made of high density polymer. The products are designed for pressing the canvas on waterproofing sheaths. The profile is installed over the profile membrane, over the waterproofing materials. Also, the polymer strip performs protective function: the profile prevents moisture from entering the insulating layers.

  • Dowels with washers. The dowels are made of high-strength steel, the washers are made of dense polyethylene. They are used for fixing canvases on all types of vertical surfaces. To reduce the load on 1 fixing unit, a special shape of the pressure washer has been developed, due to which the weight of the sheet is evenly distributed over a larger area.

  • Fasteners on a flat adhesive base. For fixing sheets of expanded polystyrene and membranes on a bituminous base, plastic fasteners No. 01 Technonikol are used. The adhesive base is firmly fixed on the base, and the polyethylene dowel reliably holds the canvas without the formation of "cold bridges".

Plastic dowel with self-adhesive base

To connect the strips of membranes to each other, use:

  • Planterband is an adhesive tape designed for joining joints, sealing joints. Polymer-bitumen tape is suitable for working with all types of roll profiled materials.

  • Nicoband is a roll-to-roll material for joining canvases with overlapping edges. The base is aluminum, the adhesive is bituminous. The adhesive layer is protected with a transparent foil.

Aluminum based sealant

The technology for laying Planter profiled membranes is quite simple. For fixing the canvases, when using the joint materials recommended by the manufacturer, the use of hot gluing methods and special tools is not required.

Fastening material to vertical surfaces

Installation of membrane protection is carried out both outside buildings and on interior walls wet rooms. For laying in private houses, choose a product of the Standard, Eco level. When it is necessary to connect the membrane to the wall drainage line, it is rational to use the material with geotextile.

Planter Standart membrane sheets, when fixed to a vertical wall, can be laid horizontally and vertically.

Laying the canvas with a geotextile layer

The upper edge of the canvas should be 15 - 20 cm above the waterproofing installation line. When installing a decorative coating, the excess material can be cut off. To fix the sheet, an edge clamping bar is attached.

Vertical alignment

The canvases are overlapped. The edges of adjacent strips should be overlapped by 3 to 4 projections. When laying, the joints of the joints are sealed with adhesive tape on a bitumen basis.

The canvases are fixed on dowels or on plastic fasteners, if it is necessary to connect the membrane to the bituminous layer.

Horizontal laying of membranes

As a preparation for the foundation, Planter Standard is laid directly on the ground. The base must be flat, free from hard rocky inclusions. The soil must be compacted. It is allowed to create a gravel cushion up to 10 cm high.

The canvases are rolled out. It is imperative to check that folds and creases do not form on the strips. The first roll can be rolled out along the marked line, spikes down. The next strips are laid with overlapping edges.

Tape connection on an aluminum base

The edges are connected with a reinforced tape on an aluminum base.

Joining strips with textile layer

When using a sheet with a geotextile layer, the edges of the sheets are connected in two stages. Fold back the textile layer, connect the polyethylene base with adhesive tape, duplicate the connection after laying the edges of the textile.

Inside living quarters, the membrane is laid with spikes up. The membrane performs the function of sound insulation and thermal insulation, protection against moisture seepage, especially on the ground floors. The canvases are laid end-to-end. The seams between the sheets are glued with polymer-bitumen tape.

A profiled membrane serves as a waterproofing material and protects the foundation from soil sedimentation, the germination of roots of various plants, water from rain and snow. The material can replace preparatory work for concrete, protects the base plate from groundwater. When the walls are covered from the outside, the temperature and humidity indicators are improved.

Thus, the membrane provides reliable protection of the surface from moisture ingress. Water is discharged through special recesses, which are located between the convex elements. The polyethylene material is resistant to chemical elements, fungi, and other microbes. The membrane withstands aggressive substances that dissolve in the soil, and does not deform when temperature changes. The planter standard profiled membrane is used for the drainage system of the walls, and also effectively protects the waterproofing material. This material is lightweight, which does not exert significant stress on the structure. Also, thanks to this, the unloading and transportation of the material is not time consuming. The material is easy to lay, it is overlapped horizontally and vertically, and the joints are covered with a special tape. When using a membrane, the moisture level and temperature regime are stabilized by removing moisture from the surfaces.

With increased humidity of the surface of the walls, they are sanitized, while the profiled-type membrane is laid vertically. Before making additional surface finishing, fixing a special mesh for plaster. When laying a profiled-type membrane indoors, a plaster mesh is also used or plasterboard cladding is performed on metal elements. At the same time, the indicators of humidity and temperature in the room are stabilized. The profiled membrane provides the surface with high-quality ventilation, and in the basement, moisture flows down the grooves into the drainage system, without lingering on the walls.

Preparation of foundations for foundations and floors on the ground

What does the classic foundation preparation look like?

Traditional design
  • Base soil;
  • Sand preparation;
  • Polyethylene film;
  • Concrete preparation;
  • Foundation slab.

The construction of the foundation inevitably requires the preparation of the subgrade. At a site with a low groundwater level, it consists in surface leveling, excavation, preparation of the pit bottom and creation of a capillary cutoff. The classic way Since the end of the twentieth century, preparation of the bottom of the pit has been considered preparation from concrete with a thickness of 80 to 100 mm - the so-called "footing". Carry out a "footing" for fusing the gluing waterproofing, as well as to obtain a flat and solid surface before installing the reinforcement. The classic "footing" is a well-known technology, but with low manufacturability.

In the calculations of the bearing capacity of the foundation, the "footing" is not involved. When building a foundation in sandy soils with a low groundwater level, there is no direct need to protect the slab in the form of waterproofing. Thus, it is advisable to abandon the foundation for its fusion.

What does the modern preparation of the base for a slab foundation look like?

The PLANTER profiled membranes are an excellent alternative to the classic "footing". Preparation of the base for a slab foundation made of membranes has a number of technological and economic advantages.

The technological attractiveness of using membranes as a substitute for a footing lies in the ability of membranes to perform the functions of a footing, namely:

In addition, PLANTER membranes prevent capillary rise of moisture, performing the function of capillary waterproofing under the foundation slab. The technology of using membranes as a substitute for a footing was approved by specialists from the Research Institute of Concrete and Reinforced Concrete (NIIZhB) and tested at many construction sites in Russia and neighboring countries.

description, technical characteristics and installation features

Planter Standard is a profiled membrane, which is a modern building sheet with protective qualities. This single-layer fabric is made of high density polyethylene, and its outer surface has rounded protrusions, the height of which is 8 mm. The membrane is light enough and has high strength; it is used in industrial and housing construction... You can also consider using it, as it allows you to achieve positive results and helps to save not only energy, but also money. However, before purchasing the material, it is necessary to familiarize yourself with its qualities and features of installation work.

Description

Planter Standard is a profiled membrane that has a low weight, which facilitates unloading / loading and transportation. This quality naturally simplifies assembly work... The membrane is reliable and durable. She is ready to serve 50 years or more. Polyethylene materials have high strength, and the shape of the cleats is designed to ensure an even distribution of the load over the entire surface.

Point effects are completely excluded. As practice shows, installation work can be completed in the shortest possible time. Planter Standard is a profiled membrane that is designed to protect the waterproofing, as well as the lower zone of the basement from moisture. In addition, along the way, you can get rid of problems such as the germination of roots of trees and shrubs, as well as changes in pressure due to sedimentation or a shift in the base. You can also protect the foundation with this material before backfilling. The material can be used to replace concrete preparation and protect the inner surface of the walls from the effects of excessive moisture. This is both condensation and water.

With the help of a membrane, you can quickly sanitize the facade, as well as remove moisture from it. The material allows you to maintain optimal temperature and humidity conditions inside the premises. The described profiled membrane is so popular today due to its affordable cost and optimal qualities.

Planter Standard is a profiled membrane, which is produced in a thickness of 0.55 mm. The exact height of the cleat is 7.5 mm. The weight of one square meter of material is 0.55 kg or more. When purchasing this composite canvas, you should take into account that it goes on sale, being cut into rectangles of 2x20 m in size.

Consumers who are engaged in construction on a professional basis are quite often interested in such characteristics as compressive strength. In the case of the described membrane this parameter is equal to 280 kPa. You may also be interested in the maximum tensile force across and along the roll. This parameter is equal to 280 N / 50 mm. It should also take into account the water absorption by weight, which does not exceed 1%, but the elongation at break is 20% or even more.

Planter Standard - profiled membrane (2x20 m) is a material, the flexibility of which on a bar at a low temperature is 45 ° C. The radius of the bar during testing was 5 mm.

Additional features of the material and its cost

If you decide to purchase Planter Standard, then you will have to pay 108 rubles for 1 m2 of this material. One roll contains 40 m2. If you use a profiled membrane in construction or for waterproofing, the space formed between the canvas and the wall will be free to ventilate, air will circulate inside, improving the temperature and humidity conditions inside the building.

The membrane has not only high mechanical strength, but also resistance to aggressive chemical media. The material does not interact with bacteria and fungi, which can actively multiply on the surface of the walls. The Planter Standard profiled membrane can be installed without fear of exposure to UV rays. The canvas can be laid vertically and horizontally, and the elements, if necessary, are connected to each other along a specially provided flat edge.

Features of installing a profiled membrane

The Planter Standard profiled membrane (the price of which is not so high and was indicated above) must be installed according to a certain technology. If necessary, disinfection is carried out wet walls, and laying can be carried out both inside and outside the building. The walls of the room can be drained in this way. The installation of the material is carried out mechanically along the perimeter of the walls and floor. The membrane must be reinforced with metal plate dowels for concrete. In the lower part of the room, over the membrane should be fixed plaster mesh which can be done from polymer materials or metal. It is chosen depending on what the subsequent coating will be.

Features of laying when protecting waterproofing

The profiled membrane Planter Standard, the installation technology of which is described in the article and will allow you to avoid mistakes, can be installed if it is necessary to protect the waterproofing layer. The latter can be coated or pasted. If debris and backfill elements subsequently fall on the surface, the layer will not be damaged. As practice shows, the use of a membrane allows you to carry out work in a shorter time and reduce labor costs, thereby saving finances. The membrane is best used instead of flat slate and brick pressure walls.

Installation is carried out at a speed of 4 m2 per minute. It is necessary to lay the sheets with an overlap, the width of which is 4 projections. Fixation should be carried out above the waterproofing level using a metal strip or disc dowels on concrete.

Conclusion

A membrane can replace concrete preparation, which is true at low groundwater levels. For this purpose, a crushed stone litter is arranged on top of the groundwater, the thickness of which can be 10 cm.In this case, the membrane is located with protrusions downwards, and the longitudinal and transverse overlaps should be up to 10 cm.

Planter standard - profiled membrane

The durability of the foundation directly depends on the durability of the material of its construction. The main building material used for the construction of foundations is concrete, which is durable and reliable material, but with constant contact with wet soil, it collapses and loses its bearing capacity, therefore it needs protection from the negative effects of soil and moisture. The more reliable the protection, the longer the foundation will last. To protect concrete, waterproofing is used, as a rule, these are "soft" thin-layer roll or mastic coatings based on modified bitumen, which are quite durable and stable in contact with the ground, but "gentle" and need protection from mechanical damage, punctures and tears. And, as you know, the main causes of problems in technical basements are the appearance of damp spots or water leaks.

Waterproofing protection

Protection of waterproofing along the entire perimeter of the building with PLANTER profiled membranes allows avoiding mechanical damage to the waterproofing during backfilling, increasing the reliability of the waterproofing material, thereby extending its service life, and also reducing financial costs in comparison with traditional ways: pressure wall and flat slate. In addition to protecting the waterproofing, the profiled membrane surface provides ventilation gap between the ground and the waterproofing material, thereby creating a favorable microclimate near the foundation walls.

The formed membrane protrusions evenly distribute the soil pressure on the waterproofing barrier while minimizing point loads. The high ultimate compressive strength (up to 28 t / m2) allows the PLANTER srandard TECHNONICOL membrane to be used even with a considerable foundation depth.

Comparison of waterproofing protection solutions:

Such types of work are regulated by the relevant documents, among them Code of Rules 45.13330.2012 "Earthworks, foundations and foundations" can be distinguished, which provides a reference to the use of a profiled membrane.

Even with a shallow depth of the location of underground and partially buried structures, they are exposed to the water in the ground, with which they are in direct contact. Direct contact of the structure with moisture contributes to the occurrence of destructive processes, which, in turn, can lead to the destruction of the structure as a whole. The accumulation of excess water in near-wall soils, especially low-permeability (clay, loam, sandy loam), leads to additional loads on the waterproofing and concrete structure.

If the drainage (drainage) of the ground or surface water accumulated near the foundation walls is not ensured, this leads to its gradual seepage through microcracks and violations in the waterproofing. It is the accumulated water and moisture near the foundation walls that cause dampness in basements and, as a result, mold, fungal infection and destruction of finishing coatings.

In order to avoid these negative factors in modern construction, a number of measures are being implemented to protect building structures.

The primary protection measures are the use of materials that are resistant to the operating environment (waterproof concrete, sealing profiles for sealing joints in concrete). Secondary protection building structures it is realized after their manufacture (erection) by applying waterproofing and drainage through a drainage system. The most rational, natural and efficient drainage system is a linear system with a vertical filtering layer: wall (near-foundation) drainage.

Performed with outside of the protected buried part of the object to protect it from flooding:

As a filtering layer in the wall drainage system, as a rule, natural inert materials (sand, crushed stone, sand and gravel mixture) are used.

Considering the high requirements for the material of the filter layer and its volume, such a solution is expensive and time consuming.

An economical and easy-to-install alternative is the use of PLANTER geo profiled drainage membranes.

Why is it important to choose the right building system?

Low-rise construction for private projects is, first of all, an opportunity to express your own individuality in construction and, of course, to get much more comfortable conditions living in comparison with commercial real estate, at equal costs. Today it is impossible to imagine a construction project that would not involve the use of modern, reliable and affordable materials, which, in addition to operational advantages, also allow you to save money in comparison with classical materials. Standard complex construction works when building a private house, it includes the following works:

  • Planning and land works on the site;
  • Foundation construction;
  • Erection of load-bearing walls;
  • Roof construction;
  • Internal and external decoration;
  • Connection of engineering communications;
  • Improvement of the territory.

Modern architectural and engineering solutions at any stage of construction work require the use of appropriate materials that can ensure their implementation. Today, PLANTER profiled membranes are quite popular and applicable at almost all stages of building a house. Specific tasks performed by profiled membranes:

  • Foundation waterproofing protection;
  • Protection against flooding of the foundation;
  • Waterproofing of the blind area;
  • Soundproofing floor slabs;
  • Drainage in operated roofs;
  • Drainage and stabilization of walkways and adjoining areas.

The history of using profiled membranes began at industrial and civil construction sites. Such critical structures, as a rule, are classified as difficult to implement, this is primarily due to their scale. At such critical facilities as underground garages, multifunctional shopping and entertainment centers and even transport tunnels, membranes have proven to be reliable and durable material.

Now the experience of application and the quality of the material previously used only at large "construction sites of the century" are available at your construction site.

PLANTER profiled membranes combine the perfect balance of ease of use and importance of function. So, for example, on the roof, membranes perform one of the most important functions - rapid drainage of rainwater, and installation consists of only 2 technological operations: the actual laying of the material and gluing the seams, while with the traditional approach, for the same purposes, you will have to use a crane for lifting rubble laying two layers of geotextile.

Membranes in construction

It is absolutely obvious that the use of a profiled PLANTER membrane in modern low-rise construction is advisable not only from the point of view of the economic indicators of construction, but also from the point of view of the reliability and durability of the newly erected building.
