We put on goggles and thermal gloves (safety first!), Set the hair dryer to the maximum operating temperature (depending on the model - from 500 to 650 ° C) and maximum air flow (up to 650 l / min). Next, we direct the hair dryer to the area from which we want to remove the paint. The device should be kept at a distance of 2-3 cm from the surface to be treated and wait until the paint starts to “blow bubbles”, announcing its readiness to leave its home. After that, you need to take a scraper or spatula and gently pry off the treated area. The paint will readily come off without leaving a trace. After that, you can start processing the new zone. It is important to indent a few centimeters between the areas so that hot air does not enter the already treated area.

2. Joining the seams of floor coverings. With the help of a construction hair dryer, you can quite simply weld the seams of several parts of the floor covering (PVC, linoleum, rubber) using a filler strand of a similar composition. The filler strand resembles a thin pencil in shape and should be identical in chemical composition to the parts to be welded. So, we fit the two parts of the joint coating close to each other, along the entire length of the seam we make a V-shaped hollow with a special cutter, melt the filler strand using a slotted nozzle (used for block welding of two parts of a homogeneous material) and fill the hollow. The operating temperature for the melt strand should be in the region of 300 ° C. Excess connecting material is removed from the seam with a special crescent-shaped knife so that the surface of the coating becomes even.

3. Welding of plastic pipes... The popularity of the plastic pipeline is growing every day, and today it is no longer necessary to call the masters to create a water supply / drainage communication, modern tools allow you to do this at home. First, let's find a welded mirror (reflector attachment) in our set. It is called a reflector because it prevents the welding object from sticking to the nozzle. In shape, it resembles a flying saucer: round and without any holes.

We attach the nozzle to the hair dryer, set the operating temperature to 200-300 ° C with a minimum air flow and leave it to heat up for a while in an upright position. When the required temperature is reached, the ends of the pipes are brought to both sides of the nozzle and slightly pressed. It is important to catch the moment when the plastic has become soft, to take the pipes away from the reflector and connect to each other. In this position, they need to be held for 20-35 seconds, resulting in a strong connection.

4. Welding of film coatings. Film coatings are usually welded with an overlap, placing the parts to be welded so that one part overlaps the other within 2–4 cm. Setting the working temperature of the hot air gun within 200–400 degrees and reducing the air flow to a minimum, blow the film in the area of ​​the joint. The operation takes only a few seconds, and immediately after that the work area must be rolled with a roller. It is imperative to check the joint for strength by trying to break the connecting seam. If the strength is unsatisfactory, it is worth raising the temperature and repeating the procedure.

This article is not about factory installation. Not everyone has the means, although the station pays off quickly with a large amount of work, many want to simply "construct", do it with their own hands. And even if such a setting is rarely used. "With your own hands", it is loudly said, you will have to connect to the manufacture of a turner-milling machine, better of course a familiar one. Yes, and you will have to solder (not soldered in the photo) nozzles to the disks not with a soldering iron, but it is better to contact a refrigeration equipment specialist. They solder the tubes with a special silver-based refractory solder. But perhaps it is possible with copper, I am not an expert in this. I do not think that it is possible to weld with gas welding or, even more so, electric welding, very thin walls at the nozzles.

-It will not work, during operation the nozzle heats up great, accordingly, scale forms, it will be inconvenient to screw the bottom with nozzles into this cone, and I also specially tried to reduce the diameter of the cone so that the nozzle turned out as narrow as possible so that it did not interfere with its fields, i.e. the diameter of the lower part of the cone is as small as possible, see pictures.

-How is the air temperature regulated? As I understand there is no such possibility. Or the air flow rate of the hair dryer itself?
-The temperature is regulated by a hairdryer, as I wrote above. I will not alter this hair dryer yet, I am starting to work out how to make another element for supplying hot air, more aesthetic and convenient.
