How to decorate a room for the New Year? How to stylishly decorate a house for the New Year: current ideas Decorating a room with rain.

V New Year children are waiting for magic, fun and embodiment cherished desires... And who, if not parents, can turn all these childhood dreams into reality?

It is not only possible to decorate it, but it is also necessary for the whole family, and the role of the chief decorator is assigned to the child. But since this process should take place under the strict guidance of adults, we will provide helpful advice for decorating the nursery.

What should be considered first of all?

When decorating a child's room, many nuances need to be taken into account, but first of all, the safety of decor elements for the baby should be ensured:

  • If your child is under 3 years old, then it is better to hang all the decorations high in such a way that he cannot reach them, and it is better not to use small toys at all.
  • Garlands must be chosen carefully: they must have high-quality connections and electrical cords so that the likelihood of a short circuit is minimal.
  • Do not use fragile glass toys.
  • There is clearly no place for burning candles in the decorations of the baby's room.

And of course, if you decide to put a separate Christmas tree in the nursery, then make sure that it is firmly fixed. Although, again, for young children it is better to postpone this pleasure, replacing the Christmas tree with other decorations (for example, small homemade Christmas trees made of paper).

And it is better to decorate the Christmas tree in the nursery with soft fabric, woolen or paper balls, and choose large toys.

It is better to decorate the Christmas tree in the children's room with large toys, stars and soft balls.

In what style to decorate the nursery?

Stylistic and color solution festive decorations for boys 'and girls' rooms are different. I offer nursery Christmas decoration ideas for both as well as for toddlers.

For boys

As you know, the interior of a boy's room should be sustained, if not in strict, but calm colors. They also have a certain harmonious brevity. You can choose, for example, the following design options:

Winter blue... It is customary for boys to choose blue colors. Paying tribute to this tradition, you can decorate the room in this color scheme. Moreover, it will allow you to create a truly winter mood.

Bed linen, a rug, decorations and even the tree itself can be chosen in various shades of blue (blue, cobalt, sea, purple, cornflower blue, ultramarine, etc.) and white.

To accentuate and enrich the color scheme, you need to add contrasting green or red.

Classics of the New Year... The style is the best fit for the boy's room. Three primary colors will look "advantageous": brown, green and red. Basically, if the nursery has wooden furniture, then the question with brown will be solved by itself.

A Christmas tree and various New Year's compositions will go well with bright red and white decorations made of fabric, plastic or paper.

You can always supplement such decoration with various elements to your taste and according to the preferences of the child.

  • For example, if your child is fond of pirates or sea adventures, you can add a piece of avant-garde to the decor: give the room the spirit of a pirate New Year, decorate the Christmas tree with steering wheels and boats, hang white and blue flags on the walls.
  • If your boy likes space travel, invite him to decorate the nursery, like a compartment on an intergalactic ship. And to do it according to the traditions of earthlings - with a Christmas tree, toys and gifts.

For girls

Since girls love to feel like little princesses, the atmosphere of their nursery on New Year's Eve should be transformed accordingly and resemble a celebration in an elegant hall. royal castle... Everything about her should be charming and attention-grabbing.

For the New Year in the girl's room, you can choose a pink or purple Christmas tree
or lilac.

You can buy (or make your own) a Christmas tree in unusual colors, such as white, pink, or purple, by dressing it up with glittery toys, tinsel, or silk ribbons.

The walls and windows in the nursery for the girl can be decorated not only with the usual pictures with the image of Santa Claus, but also with original ikebans, garlands and compositions of colored feathers.

For babies

This is where there is a place for fantasies to roam, so this is in the nursery for the smallest members of the family.

Children under three years old love rich colors, so you can create a truly fabulous New Year's decor.

You can choose any theme: the interior can be stylized to resemble a fabulous New Year's meadow, dress up the characters of the cartoon "Smeshariki" so dearly beloved by children in New Year's costumes, or decorate the room in the style of your child's favorite fairy tale.

By the way, you should not use a huge number of fluorescent lamps to decorate such a room. But small garlands will come in handy.

The room of a newly born baby can also be decorated with a garland and small compositions of spruce branches.

If you decide to install it in a child's tree, it is better to make sure that it is firmly fixed and, if possible, fenced. To do this, you can use not only special partitions made of wood, but also make cardboard screens yourself, depicting on them a fabulous New Year's forest or favorite characters of the baby.

We create a magical New Year atmosphere

If you can make an ordinary New Year's decor in the hallway, living room or bedroom for adults, then in the nursery you need to work on creating a whole fabulous world, which should be completely immersed in the atmosphere of New Year's fun and celebration.

Choosing decorative accessories

There are many wall decals on the market with fairy tales and cartoon characters. It will not be difficult for you to choose the right one.

In addition to the usual branded stickers and pictures that can be bought in many stores on the eve of the New Year, you can decorate the room with a variety of decorative elements:

Stained glass paint sets include paints, ready-made stencils, drawings and special film... The drawing is created like this:

  1. first, the finished drawing template must be covered with a film from the set and circled with a paint-contour;
  2. do not touch the finished contour for a couple of hours until dry. You can make several line drawings at once;
  3. further, each section of the drawing bounded by the contour is painted over with a separate color. Apply the paint thicker so that the finished drawing does not break when transferred to the window;
  4. the drawings dry for a day, and the next day they can be removed from the film and transferred to any flat surface (glass, mirror);
  5. there is no need for glue, ready-made pictures are glued by themselves, they just need to be pressed against the glass.

  • Snowflakes... Children just love to make paper snowflakes. You can decorate with them not only walls, but also windows. You can also simulate snowfall by hanging a lot of snowflakes on a thin line in the form of a screen.
  • Stars and hearts... These figurines can either be bought at the store or made from felt or paper, painted with gouache or bright acrylic paints. Another option is to include them in the original New Year's compositions. You can hang them on a beautiful colored thread or fishing line, on a sprig of a Christmas tree, or attach them to shelves.
  • Checkboxes... They can be glued to a string or fishing line by attaching its ends to opposite walls of the room in the form of garlands. In this case, you can use both universal colored flags that you hang out for the holidays, and make their New Year's version with thematic drawings, inscriptions or numbers.

  • Christmas trees... A Christmas tree will look great on the wall or door of the nursery. By the way, if you decide not to install a Christmas tree in the room, a wall image or a homemade composition will be a worthy alternative.
    It can be made from paper, garlands or Christmas glass (plastic) Christmas balls. For the windowsill, crafts and compositions (possibly topiary) in the form of Christmas trees are suitable.

  • Cloth figurines... A great option is to make figures of animals, fairy-tale characters or plants from felt. This material is easy to cut, sew, and also has a very bright color, so it will serve as an excellent decoration for a nursery.
  • From felt, you can make both beautiful figurines of the symbol of the year, and garlands of colored circles.

  • Christmas wreaths... They can decorate not only the door, but also the wall. If you are decorating a room in a classic New Year's style, then traditional green wreaths made of tinsel, spruce or pine branches will suit you.
    You can also surprise a child with an unusual wreath, for example, from dried orange slices, colored threads, ribbons, Christmas balls, paper, pine cones or candy (the latter option will literally be to their taste).

  • Gift socks... Be sure to hang such a sock on the wall, tree, door or child's bed. You can sew it yourself or buy a ready-made one. Believe me, children will not only appreciate the appearance of such a craft, but will also look forward to the appearance of gifts in it.
    If you make such a sock yourself, you can embroider the child's name on it (as they say: "A trifle, but nice.")
  • Snowmen... Snowman figurines can be small, made of paper, white socks, thread, plastic and tin lids (as shown in the photo) or fabric. They can be used to decorate walls or windows. You can also work hard and make a large Snowman, about the size of a child.

    This can be done by sewing a huge soft toy, building a Snowman from balloons (this option, of course, cannot be considered durable and would be more suitable as a surprise gift) or from plastic cups.
    "From plastic cups?" - you will be surprised. Yes! Moreover, it is quite simple to create this masterpiece of creativity - how? see the video below.
  • Artificial snow... It can be made from ordinary cotton wool by forming small lumps and dipping them slightly in PVA glue in order for them to keep their shape. Without waiting until they dry, they need to be put on a fishing line or white thread with a needle. If you have foam balls at home, you can substitute them for cotton wool. Several dozen of these homemade garlands will allow you to create a semblance of real snowfall in the room.
  • Gift boxes or bags... They can be placed either by the tree or by the child's bed. The boxes should be beautifully and neatly wrapped with gift paper and made bows, and the bags should be sewn from red, green or blue fabric, decorated with inscriptions, New Year's paraphernalia or fur.
  • Flashlights... They can be made from colored paper or plastic. Usually they are hung in the form of garlands on walls, windows or furniture. But you can place them separately. You can decorate them with drawings, stickers or tinsel.

These are just some of the options for decorating the interior of a nursery. They are perfect for decorating walls, ceilings, doors and furniture, conveying all the magic of the solemn and fabulous atmosphere of the New Year.

Always in fashion: Christmas compositions by children's hands

I would like to pay special attention to several options for New Year's compositions that can be used to decorate windows and furniture in a children's room:

These are just some of the compositions that are considered popular options for decorating a nursery. By combining various materials, techniques, as well as giving free rein to imagination, you and your child will be able to create your own, original compositions, which will become a worthy decoration of the nursery.

Donate good New Year spirit not only to yourself, but also to your child. Let your baby's nursery be unmatched this year, and let his happiness be the limit. And do not forget: everyone, without exception, can create a fabulous atmosphere in the children's room, the main thing is to give free rein to imagination and not be too lazy to show your designer vein.

Preparing home for the New Year is already a tradition that people love so much. of different ages... They decorate in different ways: they cut out snowflakes, sculpt little snowmen from cotton wool, take out tinsel and balls on the Christmas tree - who loves what and who is used to what.

Usually they approach this business with originality, combining and combining not only the cute decorations themselves, but also the scales and styles. This creates your own special festive world of joy and new year miracle... But how can you decorate a room with your own hands for an attacker? Let's take a closer look at this question and the answers to it.

The size of the room being decorated doesn't really matter. If it is not possible to put a Christmas tree, then you should not make a disaster out of this - the Christmas tree can be hung on a lamp or ceiling, or even laid out with a garland or tinsel right on the wall.

Balls or large sticky ones will also work. You can put miniature Christmas trees on a desktop or a windowsill, so that no one will be left without a New Year's miracle.

Windows and window sills

Drawings of nature itself often appear on the windows in winter, with bizarre patterns: frost, whirlwinds charmingly swirling in an invisible stream - so why don't you and I also take care of the window sills?

V You will no longer have to painfully wonder how to decorate your room for the New Year 2019, because we will consider the simplest, but no less elegant, decor ideas.

Cutting a variety of snowflakes, green Christmas trees from colored paper, silhouettes of animals and birds, even letters to write congratulations to others is perfect for family evening... You can stick them on the glass or just pin them to the curtains, thereby creating a festive atmosphere.

You can come up with these decorations yourself, showing your imagination to the maximum, or you can buy stencils. Houses, sleighs, and the Snow Maiden sitting in it, frisky deer, snowmen and squirrels - the assortment is so huge that it is impossible to list everything.

T So that everyone can find a picture to their liking, and with due interest, also a whole picture with details and details! For the most sophisticated, there are also sticky options!

The matter is not limited to stickers: wreaths, garlands, painted little birds, tinsel and "rain" - you can use whatever you want. Wreaths are very different, you can even weave them yourself, to the delight of yourself and your loved ones. All of this will create a very special atmosphere that we miss so much in the summer.

Look up

If there is not a lot of space or there are naughty pets or small children in the family, an option that will not touch the floor and thereby provoke an attack is perfect.

Phosphor stars and planets will help to decorate the room for the New Year 2019, they are a good fit at this time of year, moreover, after the holidays they can be left on an ongoing basis - who doesn't want to look at the stars before going to bed? Usually, there are a lot of them in stores, so everyone will find what they are looking for. Colored lamps are also used.

Garlands can comfortably sit under the ceiling, whether with colored lanterns or made by hand. Walls can also be decorated with figurines and snowflakes.

The most noticeable thing on the ceiling is the chandelier. She is also in dire need of decoration. Here you can use rain or Christmas balls, falling snowflakes, gently swaying from any breeze, or spruce branches exuding the delicate scent of the forest.

Furniture and fireplaces

Decorating the table for the New Year 2019 is simple. It will become especially solemn if you decorate it with a special tablecloth, a vase with gingerbread cookies (why not try making it yourself?), Sweets or completely inedible things - pine cones or bright Christmas-tree balls.

You can even use Christmas tree branches and wreaths, various candles and candlesticks, figurines and crafts. Everything that can have a connection with this wonderful holiday.

Everyone at least once in his life dreamed of being "like in that movie" and celebrating New Year and Christmas at warm fireplace, crackling fire and soft light. Those who are fortunate enough to have a fireplace at home can decorate it.

But be careful! The fire is insidious, do not have flammable jewelry, it can end badly.

Fir branches will look great - nice and cozy. In addition, fresh twigs exude essential oils, which has a beneficial effect on a person. You can cook artificial snow and arrange a small tender scene about the tireless snowman and his gifts under the tree.

The fireplace is decorated with flags and wreaths, you can plant a soft toy in a red New Year's cap, put a couple of candlesticks, lay out cones ... and tinsel! You can buy toy sleighs or Christmas socks where you can easily put small gifts.

Decorative pillows

There is another way to decorate a room for the New Year 2019, only this time you don't have to cut and glue. It is graceful and useful way bring a festive atmosphere even where other decorations would be inappropriate.

Small sofa cushions with christmas pattern will look beneficial anywhere. There are several ways to make these decorations by hand:

  1. Use old sweaters and shirts. After all, each of you has the "same" T-shirt with deer, which you can no longer wear, but cool print? There is a great reason to give her a second life.
  2. Just stitch. Can be from any soft tissue or felt. It doesn't take long, and it takes less fabric than you might think.
  3. You can embroider with satin stitch or a cross on anything. There are many schemes on various sites or in stores, but remember! Do not embroider immediately with a cross on the fabric! First, a special fabric is applied to it - a canvas - and then they only embroider. So the drawing turns out smoother and more correct at times.

In case there is no time for creativity at all, you can buy pillowcases with the desired pattern.

Garlands

As you probably already noticed, you can decorate anything with garlands, even an ordinary one. house palm with them it seems special and New Year's.

Of course, there are unspoken rules that must be followed so that an elegant decoration does not turn into a bright bad taste:

  1. Moderate lighting. An excess of bright blinking light from a garland is as bad as complete darkness. You can do a tricky thing - place the garland in only one place, and not all over the room, then you get a cozy island of light.
  2. Think about outlets in advance. It will be very ugly if the extension cords have to be pulled across the room.

Remember that garlands of one color and non-blinking are more pleasant and pacifying.

Regular garlands are made from:

  1. Paper glued in different ways.
  2. From felt, cutting out figures according to the pattern.
  3. From cotton wool - roll up medium-sized lumps and put them on a thread.
  4. From cones to threads.
  5. Of threads - pompons, braids intertwined, bright and intertwined.
  6. From tree branches collected in the forest or left over from an old tree.

Inexpensive DIY jewelry

It is not always possible to spend a lot on decorations in the New Year, and some people themselves do not want this, preferring more budget options or even "as before". The New Year itself is associated with serious spending, but what can you do? After all, variety is necessary so that such a bright event does not become boring from year to year.

It turns out that jewelry can be made with your own hands and very budget:

  • Paper-cut figurines on the windows.
  • Various paper crafts.
  • Crafts made from fir branches and cones are an eco-friendly decoration that can even replace a Christmas tree.
  • Felt toys.
  • Ginger cookie. This is a pig in 2019, so you can make adorable patchwork cookies.
  • Cakes and salads in the form of a symbol to decorate the table for the New Year 2019.

In addition to being cheap, such decorations are very simple to design, how to make some of them we can consider right now. Let's start with a delicious decoration.

Gingerbread

Gingerbread is a great treat for both children and adults. They, spicy and tart, are associated with the holiday, joy and gifts. Unfortunately, not everyone likes the classic recipe, because spices are still a delicate matter and require special treatment.

Why not hang these same gingerbread on the tree? Both delicious and nice to see!

There are so many recipe options, one of which, softer than the original version, is presented below.

We will need:

  • eggs - 3 pcs.;
  • butter - 150 g;
  • flour - 300-400 g;
  • soda, slaked in vinegar - 0.5 tsp;
  • sugar - 300 g;
  • nutmeg, salt;
  • ground cinnamon - 1-2 tsp;
  • chopped orange peel - 1-2 tsp;
  • vanilla sugar - 10 g;
  • vanillin.

What do we have to do:

  1. Rubbing a little frozen butter on a coarse grater and grind it with sugar.
  2. Add eggs and mix everything thoroughly.
  3. Add spices and vanilla sugar.
  4. Add flour and knead the dough.
  5. We roll it out less than half a centimeter thick. We form cookies by cutting out figures with special molds. Thus, you can make gingerbread men.
  6. With a pencil, we make holes in each blank for future ribbons, for which we will hang sweets on twigs.
  7. We bake at a temperature of 180 degrees for 20 minutes.
  8. Cooking the icing. Take egg white, icing sugar and a little lemon juice... Beat the ingredients with a mixer, gradually adding the powder. You can use food coloring to colorize the lettering.
  9. As soon as the cookies have cooled down, decorate with icing.

Salty dough

Salted dough is another good basis for making crafts, in cases where there is no opportunity or desire to buy figurines and jewelry. For example, you can sculpt a piece of jewelry or a cute little figurine to decorate a shelf with books. If the family has children, then you can take them too, this perfectly develops fine motor skills.

For an example of a Christmas tree decoration, a lamb is perfect; to create it, in addition to salt dough, we need acrylic paint, a stationery knife and a toothpick. In fact, everything is very simple, and you can see for yourself. Let's get started!

Step by step guide:

  1. We make a medium-sized cake and a small ball.
  2. Twist the sausage and divide it into 4 parts (2 of them are smaller), these will be the legs.
  3. After that, we imitate wool with a toothpick or a wooden stick and make recesses for the eyes, where we fix the previously molded eyes.
  4. We attach the remaining details and sculpted decorations.
  5. Remember the need for a hole where we will push the tape in order to hang the toy on the Christmas tree. It's time for the lamb to dry.
  6. When the lamb is ready, we color it.
  7. In fact, you can dazzle any animal like that.

A few more examples of decorating

Jewelry made of beads and beads will look unusual and very beautiful, so you can safely use wicker toys and balls, this will attract the attention of guests, and the play of light in the beads' edges ... it is definitely worth seeing!

Pom-pom pig- a soft and simple version of jewelry that does not require any skills at all. Even Small child if you ask him to help you, and it's also a fun family activity!

You need to cut out two circles from cardboard with a hole in the center, take a whole ball of thick threads of the color that is at hand or of your choice. It should be wound through the center, carefully and a lot, so that the cardboard is completely hidden. Then you should cut the joints of the threads along the edge of the circle, and remove the cardboard.

Do not forget to tie it with a thread, and then fluff it up, otherwise the pompom will not work. The only thing left is to draw eyes and a patch on paper or cardboard and glue it onto the resulting lush ball. You can decorate such a pig as you like.

From old socks that have long lost their pair, but for some reason have not been thrown away, and cereals, you can make very charming little snowmen. Rice is best. It is very simple to make such a toy: fill the sock with cereal, and then tie it with a ribbon, thereby forming the head and torso.

You can decorate it with bows, a bucket glued from paper or cardboard, a bright New Year's hat, button eyes, and also whatever you wish.

Another very common decoration is ribbon sweets. Above, an option with cookies was already presented, but if it is still used infrequently, preferring cookies in vases, then lollipops and chocolate candies hung up for every New Year. Take lollipops and wrap each with beautiful gift paper to hide the name, thereby add a surprise effect, and tie ribbons to them.

If there is no wrapping paper, it is allowed to hang sweets just like that, in candy wrappers, but this option is not so interesting and festive, although it is just as tasty.

DIY felt toys. Felt is considered one of the best materials for needlework, and therefore for our toys. It lends itself well to cutting and sewing, working with the fabric is simple and convenient, because the fabric is dense, and its edges do not crumble.

A holiday should always be a holiday, this is its essence. The New Year is a little special because it requires preparation and planning, buying or making decorations, preparing a large amount of food and gathering the whole family. This holiday allows you to express yourself, to remember that there is creativity in everyone.

Jewelry making is very important point, he undoubtedly brings people together who together sculpt from salt dough or carve snowflakes, or do any other craft. This is a chance to talk, be heard and understood. Home decoration for the New Year 2019 could be for you Starting point in many things.

Talk with loved ones, give them warmth, a divider of hobbies and look for yourself exactly that pre-holiday business that you like. There are infinitely many decorations that you can make with your own hands - you will definitely find something for yourself.

No matter how old you are, the New Year makes everyone a child. And at least for the sake of this night, it is worth creating a fabulous atmosphere around. Let you not believe in Santa Claus and the magic of the New Year for a long time, but do not break this belief in children ahead of time. New Year's Eve is the time to write him a letter, do a general cleaning and decorate the room with a variety of decorative details that will give him a New Year's mood.

There is a lot you can do yourself. If you do not know how to decorate a room for the New Year 2018 with your own hands, refer to the master classes that describe in detail how to make a particular craft. Here you will find many interesting, simple and original ideas.

Instructions for making large decorative items

Sometimes you want to bring some significant decor detail into the interior so that it becomes the central element, and the eye immediately clung to it when entering the room. We advise you to create something voluminous and bright, after all, the New Year.

Crafts from cardboard: chimney, fireplace

We propose to make a simple element of the New Year's decor - a chimney with twigs. It can be used to decorate a table or bedside table.

Make a 40 x 12 cm rectangle out of cardboard.

Fold the blank into a box with 10 cm sides.

Secure with glue or tape.

We glue the bottom of a suitable size. In order not to bother gluing the box, you can use a ready-made one, for example, from juice.

Cover the box with white paper on all sides.

Mix black and white paint to obtain a gray color.

Use a sponge to paint the paper in grey colour... Let the box dry.

Paint over a piece of cardboard with a brick shade red, or use red cardboard. Let it dry.

We cut the red cardboard into small bricks measuring 2.5 by 4 cm, pre-marking with back side cardboard.

We glue the bricks to the surface of the box.

Cut out "snow" from white paper or felt and glue it to the top of the chimney.

We supplement the imitation of snow with cotton wool or padding polyester. Glue on hot glue.

We tint the branches of the tree with white paint.

We insert the twigs into the chimney and decorate them with balls.

We hang balls on the branches.

Continuing the topic of heating

smile

You should definitely remember about such a Christmas and New Year's attribute as a fireplace. The warmth emanating from the hearth, the crackling of wood in a real fireplace, of course, cannot be compared with anything, but such a luxury happens only in country house, and even then not everyone gets it, so we propose to limit ourselves only to visual effects. Who knows, maybe you don't want to part with the craft after new year holidays... And we will do it from ordinary cardboard boxes.

We lay out the boxes with the letter "P" and glue them.

For this purpose, use Moment-Crystal glue or such a glue for tiled ceilings.

Glue the boxes two at a time, put a weight on top so that the glue seizes.

We glue the fireplace stands.

The mantelpiece can be reinforced by gluing several sheets of cardboard.

We cut the cardboard to size and glue the sheets together.

You can glue the fireplace with cardboard from all sides.

Glue back wall and the bottom.

Place the fireplace on a pedestal. We make it from 6 sheets of cardboard glued together.

We glue the pedestal to the fireplace.

Glue the joints and corners with newspaper, placing it on PVA glue.

When this job is done, paint the fireplace with white acrylic paint.

Take a sheet of styrofoam 2 cm thick. Pour the styrofoam 4-5 cm wide. Cut first into strips, then into bricks.

In principle, there will be enough bricks 1 cm thick, so we cut the bricks in half again.

We glue thick bricks with the first row, they form a decorative side.

We lay out the next rows of bricks in a checkerboard pattern.

The fireplace is ready. Install it and decorate.

Inside must necessarily lie glowing garland, it is she who will replace the light of a real fire.

Woodwork: star, wreath

Stars as an element of New Year's decor are not inferior in popularity to snowmen, Santa Claus and Snow Maidens. The closeness of Christmas affects, and we start the celebration at night. Let's try to make a big star out of wooden slats.

For a Christmas star, you will need a wooden box, in which vegetables and fruits are sold in the market.

Remove three planks.

The boards are quite wide, so we will cut them in half. Let's outline the middle for convenience.

Sawing.

Sand the boards so that there are no burrs. Don't forget about the corners.

We need 5 such narrow creepers. Basically, if you have narrow slats, you can skip the steps listed above.

Spray the strips bright red with a spray can.

We fold the slats into a star and hammer them together with nails, on the back side we bend the nails.

You should get a star like this.

Now wrap the whole star with an electric garland.

In Hollywood movies, even in the same "Home Alone", you could see that wreaths are used for decoration. It is not necessary to take spruce branches for this purpose, we will do with ordinary branches without leaves.

Crafts from pom poms: a cozy wreath and a cute snowman

In winter, when you come home from work, and it's cold outside, it's dark, the wind howls, you want to wrap yourself in a soft warm blanket, eat a hearty meal, drink hot tea with mint, touch something fluffy (cats will do). Fluffiness causes a surge of peace in many. Pom-poms are one of those things that are pleasant to admire and that deliver a pleasant tactile sensation. Let's make some crafts from pompons.

The first idea is a wreath.

To make a wreath, you will need two skeins of thread of different colors - in this case brown and white, two cardboard blanks in the form of slingshots of a slightly different size, scissors.

Wind the threads around the stencil.

Pass the thread through the hole and pull off the wound threads.

Remove the skein from the stencil and cut the threads on both sides with scissors.

Make 10 large and 5 small pom-poms. Do the same with brown threads. There will be 30 pom-poms in total.

Now you need a metal ring. It can be made from wire or a cheap metal hanger.

Simply tie the pom poms to the metal base.

Additionally, decorate the wreath with Christmas decorations.

You can use the most different elements decor for decorating a wreath, such as bells or bows. We have about tying bows.

Now let's make a snowman out of white threads.

Take the thread. Wrap it around three fingers 170 times.

Tie in the middle across.

Cut the threads along the fold. Trim with scissors.

Next, we wind the threads on 2 fingers 150 times. We proceed in the same way: remove, bandage, cut.

Then we wind the threads only on the thumb 100 times.

We take a cocktail tube and string the pom-poms on it. We cut off the excess.

We make a nose, mouth, eyes, hands from thin twigs. We glue it.

You can make a New Year's composition by placing a snowman on a cut of a tree trunk, decorating it with painted cones, Christmas balls, fir branches, artificial snow.

Garlands for decorating the room and windows

Who among us in childhood did not make garlands at home with relatives or at labor lessons before the New Year? Now, by the way, there are significantly more opportunities for creativity, due to the availability of materials for needlework, but the Internet is simply replete with an abundance of ideas. You can decorate the nursery with garlands by hanging them from the ceiling. The child will not get to them, will not tear or get confused.

Paper garlands - all kinds of flags, chains, snowflakes - can be made by many, not everyone knows that felt is also used for this purpose. Let's make a garland with gingerbread men out of this material.

Garlands on the window look especially beautiful. If you choose the right material, then it will shimmer, reflecting both daylight and artificial light. We propose to decorate the window with a garland made of ordinary padding polyester, decorated with lurex.

Gut a padding polyester pad, or get one at a craft store. Roll up small balls.

Then wrap each ball with lurex.

String the resulting blanks on the same lurex thread.

To prevent the balls from piling up, drop a drop of hot glue onto the thread in the right places. It will not be visible due to the fact that it will drown in the synthetic winterizer, but the balls will hold in their places.

You will get an excellent garland for the window opening.

To make a garland on the window, you can also use tinsel. You won't need a lot of it, since we will cut it into small pieces.

After cutting a piece about 1 to 2 cm long, twist it and flatten it with your fingers.

You should get such a blank.

We do many, many details.

Then we string the "snowflakes" on the fishing line. If you choose a thin line, it will not be visible at all, and it will turn out as if "snowflakes" are floating in the air - very beautiful.

See how it looks.

You will find even more master classes on making Christmas garlands.

Candlesticks and lamps - creating a cozy atmosphere

Subdued light will create a secluded, calm atmosphere in the room, which is what you need if you are going to celebrate the New Year together. Although it is not a sin to decorate the room with candles in original candlesticks or LED lights to take a break from the hustle and bustle of long winter evenings.

When the reflections of the candle on the wall are combined with the indescribably cozy scent of cinnamon, it is doubly pleasant.

And inside a glass cup or vase, which is used as a candlestick, they recreate a winter forest in miniature. Want to try? The more interesting and detailed the composition, the better. except decorative trees made of paper, figures of people, snowmen, houses are placed there. This installation is very mesmerizing when it is lit by candlelight.

You will need a round vase, salt, a candle, green colored paper, glue, toothpicks. Pour salt into a vase, place a tea candle inside.

Cut out strips of 1.5 * 20 cm from colored paper.

Let's make a small fringe.

Cover the toothpicks with glue and wrap with colored paper, fringed up. Break off the excess part of the stick.

Fluff up the fringe.

Stick the trees into the makeshift snow.

Decorate with beads.

Draw snowflakes with a stroke, white outline, white marker or acrylic paints.

The decorative candle is ready.

Another version of the candlestick is made from a whiskey glass, which is decorated with finely chopped tinsel.

In the beginning, we talked about lamps. How to implement the simplest option, read below

Take an ordinary LED string, which is sold in almost any supermarket on New Year's Eve, and put it in a narrow tall glass.

Cover the top of the glass with clear tape.

Place the glass in the jar.

Fill the space between the glass and the jar with artificial snow.

Transformation of interior items

New Year's mood is created not only by special decorative items, but also by interior items. How you can decorate everyday things, see the master classes. For example, do you want to turn an ordinary chair into an original decorative item?

Now let's add a New Year's flavor to the room through decorative pillowcases. They are also suitable for decoration. sofa cushions in the living room and to decorate the bed in the bedroom.

Take two pillowcases: one white, the other red, rhinestones, fabric paints, sequins, scissors, scotch tape, sheets of paper and a printout with a deer.

For the first pillowcase, cut out a snowflake from a sheet of paper.

Place something under the fabric inside the pillowcase, as paint can stain the other side of the pillowcase and the surface on which the pillowcase lies.

Fix the snowflake with tape. Then, armed with a sponge and fabric paint, paint over the holes in the stencil.

Peel off the stencil and decorate the pillowcase with rhinestones, glue them.

Cut out the head of a deer from paper, use the sheet as a stencil.

Paint over with golden metallic paint.

We remove the stencil.

Panel. When you want more holiday

The more New Year's details, the more interesting. Do not disregard the shelves and bedside tables, decorate them with original panels.

Take the blank for the panel. In this case, a canvas on a stretcher is used. Although it is possible to use cardboard painted with white paint.

Tear off a piece of foil. Foil, which is intended for baking, is suitable.

Tear off small pieces of foil and crush them to get irregular shapes.

Having previously laid out all the pieces, stick double-sided tape on the back side.

Glue all the pieces in place.

We will make another panel from threads. Let's make the background the most New Year's - red. To make a panel, prepare two identical rectangular sheets corrugated cardboard, a hammer, red acrylic paint, double-sided tape, thick threads (you can knit), small carnations, a silhouette of a deer head printed on paper.

We glue the cardboard with double-sided tape. If possible, you can take a wooden blank instead of cardboard.

Now we evenly cover the entire cardboard with red paint.

Don't forget about the edges either.

If the panel is large, you do not need to print the template, but transfer the silhouette from the screen to sheets of paper glued together.

Drive in the studs along the lines, especially where the contour line curves. Fill the middle with studs.

Peel off the paper carefully.

Tie a thread to one of the nails. Fill in the silhouette with threads not too tight. In order not to be mistaken, when winding threads, refer to the drawing. To select a path, you can walk along the path again.

Drive a carnation into each corner and make a frame out of the threads.

The result of the work looks as if you purchased this craft in the department of decorative items and gifts.

Other souvenirs

There is literally nowhere without New Year's souvenirs. You can not only decorate with them, you can also give them. Crafts in which you have invested a piece of your soul are likely to be accepted with great enthusiasm and gratitude. It would seem that there is a small boot with spruce branches, a cone-shaped Christmas tree made of cardboard, and how much anticipation of the holiday is contained in these products.

To make such a boot, we use a plastic capsule from a chocolate egg.

Let's cut it into two parts by cutting the connecting jumper.

Mark the smaller part with a marker.

Cut off the curved part with scissors.

The rest of the pieces should be folded into a boot.

Take a piece of paper and outline the bottom of the boot. We cut in. This is a template for making a "sole".

Cut the sole out of dense black felt using a template.

Glue the boot details to the sole with hot glue. First, a larger part, then a smaller part.

We also glue the parts together. We cut the sole if there are protruding areas.

Now we glue the boot with red felt. Apply glue to the edge of the sole and glue a piece of felt in a circle.

At the junction, cut off the excess and glue the joint.

We cut off the excess length of the material, but not end-to-end.

We will fix the fabric on the front of the boot. Inside, apply a drop of glue approximately in the middle and press the fabric with your finger.

Then we fix the two side folds with glue.

Cut off the excess from above.

Use white felt to imitate the fur edge of the boot.

We glue the decor in the area of the folds.

We put several artificial twigs in the boot.

We decorate the twigs.

The computer desk or the place where you work at home also needs to be decorated in a New Year's way. Let's make a Christmas tree in the form of a topiary. Putting it somewhere in the corner, you will remember that the New Year is coming soon, which means that New Year's holidays are close and you can give yourself a long-awaited rest.

Let's wrap the cardboard cup in wrapping paper.

Cut the protruding areas with a blade.

Now we will make the base of the Christmas tree out of cardboard in the form of a cone.

We glue the cone with PVA glue. In addition to the cardboard cone, you can use a commercially available foam cone.

Align lower part Christmas trees to keep it stable.

Circle the "bottom" of the Christmas tree on a piece of paper. Cut it out.

Insert a piece of styrofoam inside the tree.

Apply glue and glue the cut out cardboard circle.

A tree trunk can be made from sushi sticks. Decorate with ribbons if desired. To do this, secure the edge of the tape with a drop of hot glue and wrap the stick. Insert the stick into the center of the tree, digging it into the styrofoam.

Now we will wrap the cone with knitting threads. Again, put the tip of the thread on hot glue, then, tightly laying the thread, wrap the entire cone. Finally, secure the thread with glue.

We will decorate the Christmas tree with bows and beads. Make small ribbon bows.

Use hot glue to secure the decor.

Cut a small star out of red felt and decorate the top of the tree with it.

To set the Christmas tree in a glass, take plaster of paris and dilute it with water, according to the instructions. Place the tree in a glass and wait for the plaster to harden.

Pour artificial snow on top and, having smeared the edges of the glass with hot glue, glue the artificial snow there too.

The house, which we will now tell you how to make, can be used as a container for papers on the desktop, as a napkin holder, as a gift bag for light gifts, and much more.

Take sheet A4 and draw the house itself and all the elements with which it will be decorated. Cut it out.

Let's draw a Christmas tree on the house.

Now we will cut out all the felt details. First, cut out the front and back of the house, the two side pieces and the bottom from red felt.

Now cut out those elements from the paper that should be white and green. Transfer them to felt of the appropriate color.

We cut out a window from green felt, as well as a herringbone, dividing it into several parts by tiers, snow on the roof of the house - from white felt - all in duplicate for two sides.

Now we glue the house. Glue the bottom to one of the halves with hot glue.

Then the side parts. We glue them to the bottom.

Here's a house has already turned out.

We glue white felt parts on the roof and pipe, as well as the Christmas tree backing.

Then we glue the window, the trunk of the Christmas tree made of brown felt. And the tiers are green with a yellow star on top.

Glue a handle cut out of the same red felt.

And how great it is to treat yourself or your children with sweets in anticipation of the holiday. Let's make a sweet calendar for December. It will be much more enjoyable to count down the days until the New Year. The Christmas calendar is one of the attributes of European Christmas. But the idea is good: to eat candy every day and feel the approach of the holiday. Someone who, let alone children, will definitely be delighted with this decorative object, you will not be dragged by the ears.

Take a hanger, wrapping paper, a ruler with a pencil, double-sided tape, scissors, scrap paper, candy.

Cut out 21 rectangles from the wrapping paper, focusing on the size of the candies that we will wrap in this paper.

Wrap each candy in paper to form these “gifts”.

Cut out rectangles or stars from scrap paper, in general, any shape, and write numbers from 1 to 31 on them.

Punch holes in the rectangles with a hole punch, string them with string and tie around the wrapped candies.

When everything is ready, tie all the candies to the hanger using twine.

Pendant toys: for the Christmas tree and for decoration

With toys that can be hung on a Christmas tree, you can perfectly paint a room, and not only Christmas tree, especially since they are made from a variety of materials at hand. For example, use this decor to decorate windows, trees, walls.

From glue on a piece of cellophane, which can be a regular file, draw a snowflake with hot glue.

When the snowflake hardens, peel it off the cellophane.

Sprinkle in some glitter. Apply a second layer of glue to the snowflake.

Dip the snowflake in glitter. They will stick where you applied the glue. You can make a multi-colored snowflake if you apply sparkles of the same color to some areas, and when the glue dries, glue other areas with glue and dip the snowflake in sparkles of a different color.

It is better to apply glitter in parts so as not to be smeared with glue.

Christmas lamps

And this miracle is a matter of five minutes. It is enough to collect balls, fir branches, cones and put them in a transparent vase (or a pretty jar) and supplement with glowing garlands.

Embers

Glowing garlands hidden among cones, branches and pine paws create the effect of embers smoldering in the fireplace or a cozy fire. They even seem to give off a fever. For this purpose, a basket that has been lying on the balcony for a hundred years, a nice bucket or, for example, a wicker container for small things from Ikea, will do. Everything else (except for the garland, of course) you will find in the park.

Floating candles

A very simple decoration for the New Year's table or for a cozy evening with friends on New Year's holidays is a composition with candles floating in a vessel with water, cranberries and pine twigs. Sock snowman

Useless white socks will make such funny snowmen. Cut off the toe at the toe, and on the other side, tie it with a thread. And from the cut off part, you get an excellent hat.

New Year's Eve days are filled pleasant chores, you need to buy groceries, choose a lot of gifts, take care of your outfit. But do not forget about the decor of the premises. How do you plan to decorate the room for the New Year? Most of us don't think much about this question. As a rule, we take out toys, tinsel and garlands and quickly hang them up, not even noticing that the decor of the room does not change from year to year.

And if you approach the matter creatively and involve other family members in it, then another very pleasant and interesting one may appear in the house. new year tradition... You need to think over the style of the future decor in advance, buy or make new jewelry details yourself.

Various ideas for decorating a room for the New Year can be found in magazines that cover interior design issues. The photos presented there are mesmerizing with their incredible beauty. One problem - in magazines, as a rule, decoration options are presented. spacious rooms private cottages with fireplaces and bay windows. But what if you live in an ordinary apartment small area?

Don't worry! It is quite possible to beautifully decorate a room with your own hands, even if its area is not striking with its size.

Christmas tree

Of course, the main element of the New Year's decor is the Christmas tree. It can be a living tree with a height for the ceiling or a small artificial Christmas tree. The choice is determined by the size of the room. If the room is cramped, you can do without a Christmas tree at all by buying several spruce branches, from which you can easily make a beautiful New Year's bouquet.

To do this, you need to put the branches in any suitable vase and decorate them with balls and rain. You can wrap the vase itself with tinsel and decorate our composition.

It is easy to make a beautiful wreath from spruce branches, which is usually hung on the front door. Making this decor item is not difficult at all. This will require a wire. From a rather thick wire, you need to roll a ring - this will be the base of the wreath. Then using flexible thin wire, you need to start attaching spruce branches to the base. To decorate the wreath, we take Christmas tree decorations, cones, ribbons and bows.

You can make a wreath for a door or window from cones. To do this, you will first need to cut the base in the shape of a foam ring. Then you need to wrap the legs of the cones with wire and stick this wire into the foam base so that it goes right through. On the reverse side, the "tail" of the wire must be bent so that the bump is held firmly. To make a wreath, you will need a lot of cones, you need to make sure that the base is not visible. You can use red or gold ribbons to decorate the wreath.

Small decorative "Christmas trees" can also be made from cones. A simple version of such a decorative craft:

  • take a big cone, paint it green. You can use silver or gold instead of green paint;
  • Place the cone, stem down, on a stand or in a small flower pot;
  • to decorate our improvised Christmas tree, we use colored beads.

To make a large Christmas tree from cones, you first need to roll a cone out of thick cardboard. The size of this cone will determine the size of our craft. Then you need to file the back of the cones, giving them a flat shape. We glue our cones using a hot glue gun to the base.

You need to place the cones tightly, glue the largest ones at the bottom, on the wide part of the cone. You can decorate a Christmas tree made of cones in different ways. Beads and bows from satin ribbons, rain or tinsel. Or you can do it differently: even before assembling the tree, paint the cones and sprinkle them with sparkles, then our product will sparkle and shimmer without decorations. With the help of such an improvised Christmas tree, you can decorate a small room for the New Year.

Garlands

A mandatory attribute of the New Year is a variety of garlands - electric and homemade. You can decorate a Christmas tree with a garland or hang it on the walls. Electric garlands must be bought ready-made, they are presented in a wide range and have quite affordable prices.

But homemade garlands are rarely used today to decorate rooms. And yet they look pretty impressive. For example, it is very easy to make cute corrugated paper garlands. Necessary:

  • cut long strips of the same width from corrugated paper of different colors (we choose the sizes arbitrarily, depending on the desired result);
  • Frequent cuts should be made along the edge of each strip to create a fringe. Make sure that the cuts end at least 2 cm before the edge of the strip;
  • now you need to take two strips of a contrasting color and twist them together into a flagellum;
  • we got a fluffy garland that can be hung over a window or door, or you can hang it from the ceiling.

Garlands of lanterns look cute, which must first be cut out of colored paper and strung on a strong thread.

Window

You can beautifully decorate a room without a Christmas tree, but New Year's decor without window decorations will be incomplete. There are many options for decorating a window:

  • various garlands;
  • paper figures;
  • decorative "curtains", etc.

The most common option is to decorate the window with snowflakes. They can be bought ready-made, but it is much more interesting to cut them out of paper yourself. You can even arrange a competition between family members, whose snowflake will turn out to be the most beautiful and delicate.

Snowflakes are glued to the glass by simply dampening the paper with a little water. For greater effect, you can spray on top of "artificial snow" from a can.

To decorate windows, you can use other images; they are cut out not only from white, but also from colored paper. Images can be copied from children's books or drawn by yourself. It can be Christmas bells, silhouettes of snowmen, or whole New Year's stories. Everything will depend on your artistic ability and patience.

Another option for decorating a window is New Year's "curtains". You can beautifully decorate the window with a rain, fixed on the cornice instead of tulle. Instead of rain, you can hang thin satin ribbons of different lengths on the cornice. At the free ends of the ribbons, Christmas balls, gilded cones, dried orange circles are fixed.

An interesting version of the New Year's curtain will turn out if you make a lot of small pompoms from multi-colored threads in advance (you can take yarn with the addition of lurex so that the pompoms shine in the light). Then the pom-poms are attached in a chaotic manner to the line segments that are fixed to the cornice. In order for the line segments to hang evenly, you need to attach some kind of "weight", for example, a metal bell, to the lower end of each of them. Such a pretty curtain can also be hung in the doorway.

Candles

V new year decor candles are often used. Today you can buy a variety of candles, but in order to decorate a room in an original way, you should make your own candlesticks.

It is very easy to make a beautiful candlestick from a glass. In the house, you can often find one or two glasses that were left from the set. They can be used to make a beautiful candlestick. The leg and edge of the glass can be decorated with braid, rhinestones, beads, and a flat tablet candle can be placed inside. For the New Year holidays, you should choose scented candles with the smell of citrus, cinnamon, vanilla and, of course, pine needles. These scents are associated with home comfort and the New Year.

Original "lanterns" can be made from ordinary glass jars. Small jars (200 grams) of the original shape are especially well suited for these purposes. The outside can be wrapped with lace braid, and a candle can be put inside. If lace is not available, you can use foil or paper to cut beautiful silhouettes. Backlit by a candle placed inside a jar, these silhouettes will cast whimsical shadows.

For table decoration, it is worth choosing floating candles. You need to take a small crystal vase, pour some water into it and place a few flat candles. You can sprinkle some sparkles on top to make our composition look even more festive.

Features of decorating a nursery

When planning to decorate a nursery for the New Year, you need to think not only about beauty, but also about safety. However, one should not forget about safety when decorating other rooms, since it is unlikely that children sit in their room without getting out.

Here are the basic rules:

  • if your baby is less than five years old, then try to place jewelry at such a height that the child cannot reach them from the floor;
  • small toys that a child may accidentally swallow or stuff into his nose are better not to be used to decorate rooms where babies are;
  • you should not use glass Christmas tree toys, now you can find beautiful and safe balls from polymer materials, they will not break, even if dropped to the floor from a height;
  • if there are kids in the house, it is better to do without using New Year's compositions with burning candles;
  • the tree must be very carefully secured so that it does not tip over from accidental touch.

So, decorating rooms for the New Year is a very exciting creative process. Think over the decor in advance so that you have time to make various elements. After all, it is the handmade jewelry that makes the decor interesting and unique.
