Tired of beds? Me too ... But I also wanted to tell you about other types of similar furniture. I'll try to be shorter. When I wrote on the topic, I gave several options folding tables... There are many noteworthy ideas in this area, but for today I will confine myself to two examples.

I really liked this idea of ​​a sliding table (I found it a long time ago, on the blog of an overseas young lady), but I never figured out how it works. Why a facade is used instead of a leg (everything seems to be in place) and how such a long table fit into a cabinet 60 cm deep remains a mystery to me. I would be grateful if someone could reveal this secret for me.

I would like to mention another wonderful design invention for small living rooms. This is a combination in one design of a coffee table and a dining table. I myself have been looking at this for a long time, only the price, in my opinion, in our stores for them is too high. Although there are quite decent options in online stores, for example, at prices 2-3 times lower than in ordinary stores.

The rational use of every square centimeter is a challenge for many families. Too many live in small apartments. In this case, it is the transformer furniture that will help. In the current version, these are two different items, combined into one. A full bed with a mattress for the daytime rises, representing a wardrobe and part of the back of the sofa. Available is soft seat... It turns out a sofa. But not folding, but "stationary" so to speak. Additional pillows, as a rule, give it comfort. At night they are removed (maybe a storage box under the couch seat) and the bed is lowered. So, as you can see, this is a completely different piece of furniture.

There is also transformer furniture, which is associated with the "appearance" of the table. Moreover, the table itself can have different purposes:

• to organize an additional (or main) workplace;
• to increase the area of ​​the dining table;
• for increase work surface in kitchen sets.

There are also triple transformers. Basically it is a wardrobe-bed-sofa or a wardrobe-bed-table. They differ from double ones only in that the cabinet has large dimensions due to the non-convertible part with shelves.

Convertible bed

All wardrobe beds are equipped with orthopedic mattresses that are fixed to the frame. Basically, this type of transformer furniture is folding. In one state, the frame is lifted vertically, held by spring or pneumatic holders. Such furniture looks like a wardrobe. The type of metal from which the guides are made is also important for the kitchen. At a minimum, it should be galvanized metal, but stainless steel is better. Convertible sofas

Another type of transforming furniture is sofas. Everyone knows the old model - the sofa bed. But it comes not about her. This is not a very good option, albeit a widespread one. There are more interesting ones.

Sofa bed

This type of transformer furniture is a fundamental difference from the old model: full bed transforms into an equally complete and comfortable sofa. The bed in this version is mounted vertically, mainly one-and-a-half and double mattresses.

The principle of operation is the same as that of the wardrobe-bed. The sofa is installed permanently, the bed is fixed raised and can be upholstered soft cloth to match the upholstery, pillows play the role of the back. Before they are laid out, they are removed, the bed is lowered, which lies on the sofa and rests on the retractable legs. A shelf can play the role of a leg (as in the photo above).

There is one more type of such furniture: wardrobe-sofa-bed. It differs from the one described above only in that sections with shelves or cabinets are attached next to it. With sufficient ceiling height, shelves / cabinets can be above the bed.

Sofa bunk bed

A good option for children's rooms is a sofa that transforms into two beds located one above the other. This model uses a complex mechanism, so the cost of such transforming sofas is rather big.

But the model is very comfortable. Both the sofa and the beds are comfortable. Compared to the traditional one, it does not "load" the space so much, but saves it no less.

Sofa table

Sofa with a table. This option is more exotic. Its functionality is not so high. But as an option for non-standard furniture, it is good. The sofa-table has a movable back made of wood (or its substitutes) or plastic. While the transformer furniture is used as upholstered furniture, there are no external differences. Another option for a transformable sofa is a modular design. This is not exactly what was described earlier. All upholstered furniture is divided into segments that can be joined together in different ways.

As a rule, the sofa itself is sliding or folding. It is installed permanently, and smaller mobile units can be moved. They often have rollers.

Unusual transformers

There are several transformers that are difficult to attribute to furniture. For example, a shelf that turns into small table. Perfect option for a walk-through room, if there is nowhere to put a stationary table, but there is only a piece of the wall in the walk-through place.
