Similar to the drive shaft, but with 2 identical tips, they make a tension shaft.

The chainsaw engine is mounted through its frame on a motor subframe - a rack available on the cross beam. The fuel tank is located on top. The reducer is turned 180°, fixed on the platform. A creeper is also installed on it - an intermediate shaft. Sprockets with a number of teeth of 38 and 10 are attached to it. Chains for transmitting rotation are taken from the Voskhod, Minsk motorcycle.


V steering includes:

  • support-steering skis, on which levers are installed;
  • bipod of the steering shaft, with which the ski levers are connected by rigid rods;
  • motorcycle 2-lever steering wheel with a throttle control lever near the right handle.

The walls, the bottom of the box are covered with 4-layer plywood or boards. Its cover serves as a seat: for its manufacture, 6-layer plywood is taken, covered with a layer of foam rubber and leatherette.

snow blower

Homemade is simple, it is easy to do it yourself. First, a frame is made, which is welded from pipes of 3-4 cm diameter. Its shape is U-shaped, with 2 additional crossbars located at the rear of the frame at a distance of 20 cm from one another.

The longitudinal elements of the frame serve to move the snow blower, being skids. Their ends are made oblique, the holes are welded to avoid clogging with snow. Crossbars are needed to accommodate the power unit.

The chainsaw motor is freed from the frame and redone:

  • remove the drive sprocket;
  • a small asterisk is installed in its place, which is used as a drive in the Voskhod and Minsk motorcycles.


Making a homemade snow blower auger:

  1. For the shaft, an 80-85 cm piece of pipe of the same diameter is used as for the frame. In the center, 2 plates 13 cm long and 15 cm wide are welded on the sides. They are needed to eject snow.
  2. From sheet metal 2-3 mm thick, 4 circles with a diameter of 30 cm are cut out. The inner parts are removed - disks with a diameter of 22-23 cm. The remaining circular elements are cut in one place and stretched, giving them the shape of springs.
  3. Each pair of springs is placed symmetrically to the shaft, welded at one end to different parties central plates at their end portions. The other ends are connected to the shaft through metal spacers. The direction of the turns is towards the center of the shaft. The length of the screw part is 70 cm.
  4. A metal case is made from sheet metal to accommodate the auger. It consists of 2 vertical sidewalls, in which the lower and front edges are straight, the rear is made in a circle. The latter is covered with a sheet of metal. The dimensions of the housing must ensure free placement inside the auger. The gap size is 5-7 cm.
  5. The auger is inserted into the holes on the sidewalls. The ends are placed in bearings welded to the latter from the outside. On one side of the shaft, a driven sprocket from the same motorcycles is attached.

For the manufacture of snow removal use a segment (10 cm) aluminum pipe and a box that is welded from sheet metal. The first is fixed in a hole, which is arranged in the center of the housing cover approximately in the middle of its width. A box is bolted to the segment.

The housing in which the auger is installed is placed in front of the frame. The sidewalls are welded to the longitudinal pipes. The motor is fixed on the crossbars of the frame, placing the drive sprocket and the driven sprocket installed at the end of the screw shaft in the same plane. The sprockets are supplied with a chain, not forgetting to arrange a tension mechanism (an additional sprocket bolted to the side of the auger housing).

To control the unit, a tubular handle is arranged, a lever is brought to it, which regulates the supply of fuel to the engine.

boat motor

The saw set is removed from the chainsaw engine, the drive sprocket is removed. The coupling is redesigned by turning a smaller cup and replacing the tightening spring, which allows to reduce the mass of the assembly and reduce the adhesion force. The shaft of the motor and the gearbox are connected through the coupling.


For installation use a channel:

  • in the top shelf suit required holes for fastening the engine with a reducer;
  • the lower shelf is provided with a hole, a tube is welded into it coaxially with the output shaft of the gearbox.

A shaft is passed through the tube, which transmits rotation to the propeller, and is connected to the output shaft of the gearbox. A mounting and swivel assembly is attached to it, which is used to install the motor on the transom of the boat, raise and lower the propeller into the water.

A gearbox is installed at the lower end of the tube, which receives rotation from a vertical shaft and transfers it to a horizontal one. On the latter, a propeller is installed, which will move the boat.

sawmill

Several home-made sawmills using chainsaws have been invented. They are:

  1. Stationary immovable. In them, the chainsaw is placed in a special machine and remains in place - a log moves towards it. The cutting quality is high, it is possible to cut workpieces of any length. But the design has a complex mechanism for feeding logs.
  2. Stationary mobile. A variant with rail guides along which a carriage with a fixed saw moves. The workpiece is immovable. The option is easier to operate, but the length of the logs is limited.
  3. Mobile. The sawing part moves along the log. It is lightweight and can be carried. The workpiece itself serves as a guide. The option is convenient for one-time work or a small amount of cut. Requires a lot of effort to move the saw device.


Moped

The procedure for converting a bicycle into a self-propelled unit is as follows:

  1. Remove the cover and dismantle the tire from the motor housing.
  2. A creeper is made in the form of a shaft, on which small and large asterisks from a bicycle are attached at different edges.
  3. They install a small sprocket on the output shaft of the engine, and a large sprocket on the bicycle wheel, next to the existing one.
  4. Mount the motor and creeper behind the seat on an additional frame.
  5. Chains are put on, connecting the smaller and larger sprockets at the engine with a creeper and at the latter with a bicycle wheel.
  6. A lever is placed on the handle of the bicycle handlebar, which regulates the supply of gasoline in the power unit.


snowmobile

For such a homemade product to easily move through the snow, one is not enough. More power is needed - at least 2 chainsaws.

The manufacture of snowmobiles begins with the frame.

It should be light, because aluminum alloy pipes are used.

The shape of the frame is an isosceles, elongated triangle. In each of its corners are attached vertical stand pointing down. Skis are located at the free ends:

  • front with the possibility of turning a bicycle handlebar;
  • behind - irreversible, parallel to the longitudinal axis of the sleigh.


The chainsaw motor is attached to the base of the triangular frame - at the gearbox, the output shaft is directed back parallel to the frame axis. It also has air propeller. The transmission of rotation to the latter from the gearbox is provided by a chain transmission.

The lever for regulating the fuel supply is carried out on the steering wheel of the snowmobile. To accommodate the athlete, a light seat is provided within the front of the frame.

Tricycle

The easiest way to get it is from a tricycle, the conversion of which into a self-propelled tricycle is to equip it with an engine from a chainsaw. They do this in the same way as with the moped described above.

If the bike is 2-wheeled, you will have to:

  • remove the rear wheel;
  • remake the rear of the frame, providing it with 2 forks for 2 wheels;
  • arrange a common transverse shaft and install an asterisk on it for a chain drive from the motor.
