Sandboxes for programs. Overview of software for working with virtual sandboxes Standard sandbox sizes

Little kids love playing in the sand. To provide them with such an opportunity, caring adults set up sandboxes at home and in the country. Of course, there are ready-made ones for sale, but their price is not at all childish. best way out- sandbox, made by hand. When making it, you will certainly try to take into account all the features and preferences of your child.

What can you make a sandbox

The most popular material for building a children's sandbox is wood. It can be edged boards, logs of small diameter, timber, block house. Basically, they make it out of this. To make the work go faster, you can buy polished materials. They are more expensive, but have a smooth surface. If you want to save money, take common materials, then manually or with the help of a grinder, bring everything to perfect condition.

You can use plywood (moisture resistant) or OSB (OSB). Not everyone loves them, for the presence of glue and harmful fumes (formaldehyde). But in the air, these emissions are not terrible, and you can also use a material with an emission class of E0 or E1. It guarantees safety - children's furniture is made of such material. It is convenient to work with plywood and OSB: I cut out the necessary shape of the part, twisted them together, processed the ends and can be painted.

In the country, you can use improvised material. For example, plastic bottles. Just to keep them, they are attached to the board: lids are nailed with a certain step, bottles are screwed into them. Having received one “sidewall”, they take a piece of thick wire equal to the double length of the sidewall + 20 cm, pierce the bottle with wire, stepping back about 5-7 cm from the bottom, turn the wire up and pierce it in the opposite direction from above. The ends are twisted, trying to hide the "tails".

Something like this will need to "flash" the bottles with wire

Such a twist is obtained only on one side - on the other, just a bent wire. When you put the sidewalls, put them so that the “tails” are covered with a bottle. The finished sides of the sandbox from the bottles are installed in a shallow ditch, the board and the tapering bottom of the bottles are sprinkled with soil, and they are well tamped. You can throw a sheet of plywood at the bottom, and pour sand on top.

The second most popular "junk" material for summer cottages. They also make sandboxes. It is necessary to cut off the sidewall of the old tire on one side. Get pretty high sides. Then there are two ways:

In any case, you will have to secure the cuts. In some tires, the cord (reinforcing fiber) is plastic, in some it is metal. Plastic can be sanded, but metal will have to be closed somehow.

To make a sandbox, you can use the trunks of fallen trees sawn into pieces. They make a very interesting and quite reliable fence. Before digging in, the wood needs to be processed - so that it lasts longer. There are modern impregnations with a simultaneous tinting effect. Conveniently. The processed stumps must be dried, and while they are drying, dig a moat around the perimeter of the future sandbox. Its depth is at least 20-25 cm. You should not do less - the kids will walk and jump on the stumps, so they should hold on well. Insert the logs into the ditch with the butt end, level, fill the gaps with soil and compact well.

From logs, you can also make a fence for a traditional type of sandbox. Put a base on the ground: a piece of linoleum, for example, in which to make several holes - to drain water after rain. Put logs on the base, making a rectangle / square out of them. You can fasten them with long nails, but it is more reliable with studs - steel rods with threads at both ends. Under them, it will be necessary to drill a hole obliquely at the junction of the logs. The diameter is slightly larger than the diameter of the stud. Drill the edges of the hole - so that you can drown the nuts with washers. Insert the rod into the hole, put washers on both ends, tighten everything with nuts.

You can make benches from above - one or two boards and benches for kids are ready. Of course, they rarely sit on them. More often they build their sand castles on them.

How to make a sandbox: step by step instructions

To begin with, let's analyze general principles production of sandboxes of any design. With some modifications, they are repeated every time.

Step one. Location selection . The place must be chosen so that part of the sandbox is in the shade, part in the sun. If this is not possible, we put it in a sunny place, and we make a canopy over it. Please note that there are no large trees or bushes nearby. They, of course, give a good shade, but leaves are pouring from them, and the sand will often have to be sifted.

Do not place the sandbox in strong sunshine, nor should it be in a corner where there is no air movement at all. But she also has no place in a draft. Another important point: if you plan to let the baby out to play in the yard on your own, the play area should be clearly visible from the window of the room where you spend most of your time.

Step two. markup . If the sandbox is rectangular, use pegs and threads stretched between them. The pegs were driven in, measuring the required dimensions (the standard size of a children's sandbox for children from 2 to 5 years old is 1.7 m * 1.7 m). Between them they pulled twine, rope, cord. We checked the diagonals, in order for the angles to be straight, they must be equal.

If the sandbox is with rounded corners or sidewalls, you can draw an arc with the help of sand poured into a bag. A small hole is cut in the corner of the bag and the required shape is “drawn” in this way.

Step 3 Digging a pit. We remove the sod, and take it aside, remove some soil, cleaning out the roots along the way, removing stones. The depth of the pit is 20-30 cm.

Getting down to earthworks - digging a pit

In the middle of the sandbox, make a small square of greater depth: with a side of about 60 cm and a depth of another 30-40 cm (the total depth of this hole will be 60-70 cm). Pour gravel into the hole. This will be a "water drainage system". If you form a slight slope from the edges to it, the sand will dry quickly after the rains.

Step 4 Laying the base.

We add a little sand (5-6 cm) to the bottom of the resulting pit, leveling it well. Now we need to lay the foundation. Most the best way- . This nonwoven fabric, very tear resistant. He will not allow grass to germinate, he will not allow sand to mix with the earth. If you bring it to the edges of the pit, it will also “hold” the earth, preventing it from flowing in when it rains.

If geotextiles are not found, you can lay a piece of plywood or linoleum. Only in them you need to cut a few holes (1.5-2 cm in diameter) for water drainage.

DIY sandbox: step by step photo reports

No matter how simple the design may seem, questions arise as it comes to implementation. To make them smaller, we publish several models of home-made sandboxes with step-by-step photos that capture the main nodes.

Simple design

The easiest thing to do is knock down a rectangle or square from the boards. For a sandbox, the normal side of a square is 1.7 m. So you will need 4 or 8, 12 boards of this length. Sizes can be larger or smaller, the choice is yours. The number of rows of boards depends on their width and how high you want to make it.

If, as described earlier, they dug a pit of 25 cm, then poured 5 cm of sand, it turned out to be a depression of 20 cm. and above), the total height is 30 cm. If the board is 10 cm wide, 3 tiers will be required (boards, respectively 3 rows * 4 pcs = 12 pcs).

You will also need a bar with a section of 40 * 40 mm. It will need to be cut into pieces equal to the height of the sides of the sandbox. In our case, this is 30 cm. 4 pieces will be needed. total length the required timber is 1.2 m. All lumber is well polished, then impregnated with protective impregnations, otherwise the wood will quickly lose its appearance.

We take two boards, fold at an angle of 90 °. We put a bar at the junction, nail both boards or screw in self-tapping screws - two for each mount. We attach the next board to one of the ends, put the bar and repeat the operation. So we collect the first row. It will look like the photo on the left.

The second and third rows are assembled by analogy. For each connection we put two hardware (a nail or a self-tapping screw). Just make sure that the heads do not protrude and the tips do not stick out.

After the required height is collected, we can assume that the sandbox is made by hand. But, as always, now I want to add something to make it more convenient for the kids. They usually like to sculpt Easter cakes, and they need a platform. You can nail small plywood triangles in the corners or also assembled from chopped boards. Another option is to nail two longitudinal boards. They are perfectly installed on the bars in the corners. We also hammer nails into them.

Adding comfort

Continuing the theme of "improving" sandboxes. It’s not very pleasant to carry home toys that are soiled in the sand every time. The problem is solved simply: to fence off the part for toys. Comfortable for both you and your child. An additional wall is installed, which is also attached to the existing ones with the help of bars.

Fence off the compartment for toys - put an additional wall

And so that there is no temptation to pour sand there, you can come up with a lid. It will be possible to sit on it, or you can build Easter cakes.

A couple of boards, a little imagination and an ordinary box turns into a car. The boys will definitely like this one.

Sandbox-transformer with a folding lid

Construction begins in the same way as described earlier: a box of boards is assembled. The focus is on the lid design. You will also need boards for the lid and hinges - four ordinary door and four with one long shelf.

In our example, 6 boards went to each side of the lid. Attached them in pairs. First, two boards were nailed to the finished box on one side and on the other.

To them, they screwed a short shelf of a loop similar to a barn. Two boards were also attached to a long shelf. It is important that the second one is attached at least half the width, otherwise it can turn it out.

We fasten on ordinary door hinges next board. The shelves are on the other side. Then it turns out that the second part of the cover leans to the other side. The second board is attached to the fixed one with the help of an auxiliary bar. It is stuffed on both sides at a distance of about 15 cm from the edge.

To prevent the hinged lid from pressing on the hinges, an additional piece of the board is stuffed onto the first two boards. It serves as a support, when loaded, the board does not bend.

According to operating experience, we can say that children almost never play under the seats: it is inconvenient. To use this area more rationally, it can be fenced off under the toy compartment. Another plus of this solution is that less sand is required.

IN this example the docks are painted with an impregnation that simultaneously gives the wood its color. If you wish, you can use the usual opaque paint. Just take it for wood, for outdoor work. Otherwise, after a couple of rains, it will bubble or crack. Using paint, you can paint the sandbox in more “girlish” colors, although impregnations can also be different color but they just give a hint.

Sandbox boat

For boys, you can make a sandbox-boat or ship. The main "body" is built as usual, all other superstructures are attached to it.

In this version, it was decided to make the sandbox low. A triangle was attached to the downed hull - the nose of the future ship. It is much higher than the main part. To keep the boards strong, two boards on each side are driven into the ground 60 cm deep. Boards were nailed to them. In the corners, they are also fastened, but only between themselves - with nails (beaten obliquely).

Since the height difference turned out to be significant, a staircase was made from the “deck” to the bow. The top is sewn up with a board, the masts are strengthened.

Only Finishing work and equipment. After some time, it was decided to make an extension at the stern - and a place to hide from the sun, and put a box for toys there. They put poles from a bar, sheathed with plywood cut to size. The final version of the ship looked like this.

Approximately according to the same technology, another boat was built.

Sheds

It is far from always possible to put a sandbox in partial shade. More often they put it in the sun, and then they make shading - some kind of canopy or umbrella. There are many interesting designs of such canopies that are quick and easy to make.

Perhaps the easiest to implement is this canopy: two racks are attached in the middle, between them is a cross member. A dense tan is thrown over the crossbar and attached to the driven loops.

This canopy is not much more difficult. Four racks are required. They are connected at the top with planks - they make the upper harness. An awning is sewn in size and stretched. You can fasten even with buttons, even with decorative nails. The main thing is to have the opportunity to shoot in the fall.

Such a roof is a little more difficult to make. Triangles are attached to the upper strapping of the racks - truss system. They are connected at the top with a longitudinal bar, which is correctly called a “skate” and they put props in the middle. Plywood or OSB is nailed under the soft tiles that are used in this case, and roofing material is already laid on top.

Pay attention also to the decor of the sandbox itself: around the perimeter they are driven in / dug birch chocks, which are covered with boards from the inside: so that the peeling bark does not fall into the sand. Quite an interesting solution.

Another simple sun visor for the sandbox. Two triangles are connected by thin planks. They are attached to the racks, only it is desirable to make the racks more solid. For small children, this section is enough, and for older children - from 4 years old - something more solid is required - at least 60 * 60 cm. To save money, you can sew two boards - knock them down with nails on both sides. It won't be hard to put up an awning.

How to make a sandbox with a "fungus" a small wooden canopy - see the video

Lids

The second attribute required for sandboxes is lids. Not only do leaves fall into the sand and all sorts of garbage gets in, but also animals love to be there ... located. You can prevent encroachments on the purity of the sand with a cover. In the very simple version this is a shield knocked down from boards or cut out of plywood, to which handles are attached.

Board cover

So that you do not have to remove and install the shields every time, you can attach hinges, and so that the doors do not hang, weld the handles on which they can rest. With the lid open, you get two small playgrounds. Children can sit on them or build their own sandcastles. Therefore, it is more convenient to make such covers from plywood: there are no cracks and it is less in weight.

There is an even more interesting design - exit. This type of lid is definitely made from plywood. Nail the top bar so that a gap remains. A sheet of plywood is inserted into it. And so that the opposite end does not hang out, legs are nailed - small pieces of a bar.

The same principle is implemented differently in the variant in the photo below. It is already for those who are good at carpentry.

Blueprints

In order for the sandbox to be built quickly and easily with your own hands, it remains to provide you with a few drawings. You can start from them, take as a basis. You can and should make adjustments.

Sandbox with a roof - photo and drawing

You can endlessly look at the fire, water and activity of programs isolated in the sandbox. Thanks to virtualization, with one click you can send the results of this activity - often insecure - into oblivion.

However, virtualization is also used for research purposes: for example, you wanted to control the impact of a freshly compiled program on the system or run two different versions of an application at the same time. Or create a standalone application that won't leave any traces on the system. There are many options for using the sandbox. It is not the program that dictates its conditions in the system, but you show it the way and allocate resources.

If you are not satisfied with the slowness of the process, using the ThinApp Converter tool you can put virtualization on stream. Installers will be created based on the config you specified.

In general, the developers advise to produce all these preparations under sterile conditions, on a fresh operating system, so that all the nuances of the installation are taken into account. For these purposes, you can use a virtual machine, but, of course, this will leave its mark on the speed of work. VMware ThinApp already loads well system resources, and not only in scan mode. However, as they say, slowly but surely.

BufferZone

  • Website: www.trustware.com
  • Developer: trustware
  • License: freeware

BufferZone controls the Internet and software activity of applications using a virtual zone, closely approaching firewalls. In other words, it uses rules-driven virtualization. BufferZone works seamlessly with browsers, instant messengers, email and P2P clients.

At the time of writing, the developers were warning about possible problems when working with Windows 8. The program is able to kill the system, after which it will have to be deleted through safe mode. This is due to the BufferZone drivers, which come into serious conflict with the OS.

What falls under the BufferZone radar can be tracked in the main Summary section. You determine the number of restricted applications yourself: the Programs to run inside BufferZone list is intended for this. It already includes potentially unsafe applications like browsers and email clients. A red border appears around the window of the captured application, giving you confidence to surf safely. If you want to run outside the zone - no problem, the control can be bypassed through the context menu.

In addition to the virtual zone, there is such a thing as a private zone. You can add sites to it that require the strictest confidentiality. It should be noted right away that the function only works in Internet Explorer retro versions. More modern browsers have built-in anonymization tools.

In the Policy section, the policy is configured in relation to installers and updates, as well as programs launched from devices and network sources. See also in Configurations additional options security policy (Advanced Policy). There are six levels of control, depending on which the attitude of BufferZone to programs changes: no protection (1), automatic (2) and semi-automatic (3), notifications about the launch of all (4) and unsigned programs (5), maximum protection (6) .

As you can see, the value of BufferZone is total Internet control. If you need more flexible rules, then any firewall will help you. BufferZone also has it, but more for show: it allows you to block applications, network addresses and ports. From a practical point of view, it is not very convenient for active access to the settings.

Evalaze

  • Website: www.evalaze.de/en/evalaze-oxid/
  • Developer: Dogel GmbH
  • License: freeware / commercial (€2142)

The main feature of Evalaze is the flexibility of virtualized applications: they can be run from removable media or from a network environment. The program allows you to create completely standalone distributions that operate in an emulated file system and registry environment.

The main feature of Evalaze is handy master which is understandable without reading the manual. First, you make an image of the OS before installing the program, then you install it, make a test run, and configure it. Next, following the Evalaze wizard, you analyze the changes. It is very similar to the principle of operation of uninstallers (for example, Soft Organizer).

Virtualized applications can work in two modes: in the first case, write operations are redirected to the sandbox, in the second case, the program will be able to write and read files in the real system. Whether the program will delete traces of its activities or not is up to you, the Delete Old Sandbox Automatic option is at your service.

Many interesting features are available only in the commercial version of Evalaze. Among them - editing environment elements (such as files and registry keys), importing projects, setting the reading mode. However, the license costs more than two thousand euros, which, you see, is somewhat higher than the psychological price barrier. At a similarly prohibitive price, the use of an online virtualization service is offered. As a consolation, the developer's site has pre-made virtual sample applications.

cameyo

  • Website: www.cameyo.com
  • Developer: cameyo
  • License: freeware

A cursory examination of Cameyo suggests that the functions are similar to Evalaze and you can “blind” a distribution kit with a virtualized application in three clicks. The packer takes a snapshot of the system, compares it with the changes after installing the software, and creates an ecosystem to run.

The most important difference from Evalaze is that the program is completely free and does not block any options. The settings are conveniently concentrated: switching the virtualization method with saving to disk or memory, choosing the isolation mode: saving documents to specified directories, prohibiting writing or full access. In addition to this, you can customize the virtual environment using the file editor and registry keys. Each folder also has one of three isolation levels that can be easily overridden.

You can specify how to clean up the sandbox after exiting the offline application: remove traces, no cleanup, and write registry changes to a file. Also available is integration with Explorer and the ability to bind to specific types of files in the system, which is not even in paid analogues of Cameyo.

However, the most interesting thing is not the local part of Cameyo, but the online packager and public virtual applications. It is enough to specify the URL or upload the MSI or EXE installer to the server, specifying the bitness of the system, and you will get a standalone package at the output. From now on, it is available under the roof of your cloud.

Summary

Sandboxie will the best choice for experiments in the sandbox. The program is the most informative among the listed tools, it has a monitoring function. A wide range of settings and good options for managing a group of applications.

It does not have any unique functions, but it is very simple and trouble-free. An interesting fact: the article was written inside this “sandbox”, and due to an unfortunate mistake, all changes went into the “shadow” (read: astral). If not for Dropbox, a completely different text would have been published on this page - most likely, by a different author.

Evalaze suggests not A complex approach virtualization, but individual: you control the launch of a specific application by creating artificial habitat conditions for this. There are advantages and disadvantages here. However, taking into account the curtailedness of the free version of Evalaze, the dignity will fade in your eyes.

cameyo carries a certain “cloudy” flavor: the application can be downloaded from the site, uploaded to a USB flash drive or Dropbox - this is convenient in many cases. True, it leads to associations with fast food: you can’t vouch for the quality and compliance of the content with the description.

But if you prefer to cook according to the recipe, VMware ThinApp- your option. This is a solution for experts who care about every nuance. A set of unique features is complemented by the capabilities of the console. You can convert apps from command line, using configs, scripts - in individual and batch mode.

BufferZone is a sandbox with a firewall function. This hybrid is far from perfect and up-to-date settings, but you can use BufferZone to control Internet activity and applications, protect against viruses and other threats.

At first glance, a home children's sandbox is a simple and unpretentious structure. However, in order for the kids to be interested in playing, and for parents not to worry about their safety, it is worth taking the arrangement of the playground with all responsibility. Before you make a sandbox with a lid or an ordinary open one with your own hands, you need to carefully study all the recommendations for construction.

How to build a sandbox with a lid in one day

When landscaping children's corner in the country, many questions arise - what type of sandbox is better, where to place it, what dimensions should the sides have. All sandboxes are divided into two types - open and closed. The latter, in turn, are divided into sandboxes with a canopy, with a lid, with temporary protection, such as a tarpaulin.

The sand under the lid always stays clean

The advantage of sandboxes with a tight lid is that they are not only protected from falling leaves from trees and debris, but also from the invasion of cats. Thanks to the lid, children will always play in clean sand. Such a structure can be closed for the winter, it will calmly survive the bad weather and remain unscathed.

The best place for children to play on the site

When choosing a place for children's games, you need to consider the following points:

  • the corner should be shady, because children are able to mess around in the sand for several hours, and games in the sun are unacceptable. At the same time, you should not place the sandbox in deep shade, without glimpses of sunlight, in such a place the sand will dry for a long time after rain;
  • if children play not only in the hot season, but also in spring or autumn, you should choose a place protected from the wind;
  • the playground should be clearly visible so that parents can see at any time what is happening there and what the kids are doing;
  • the best place is slightly elevated or level. Placing in the lowlands is undesirable, because water will accumulate there, and the sand will always be damp;
  • for safety reasons, it is unacceptable to place near water bodies, open wells, as well as landing near a children's facility poisonous plants such as wolfberry, dope, castor bean.

A place for children's games should be clearly visible

Selection and preparation of materials

Traditionally, children's sandboxes are made of wood. Iron in this case is not too good option, because in summer it is hot in the sun, and in spring or autumn it is very cold to sit on it. However, you can make a combined sandbox with a metal lid and wooden benches with your own hands, combining comfort with reliability.

Wood - best material

For sides, smooth logs without bark, boards with a thickness of at least 2 cm and bars are used. The cover can be made from thinner boards, OSB sheet or roofing sheet. Everything wooden details carefully planed and checked for protruding chips. If the lid is iron, the sharp edges are protected with overlays of wooden slats or folded inwards.

The sides are made no more than 25-30 cm high, so that children can freely climb over them. High walls can become an insurmountable barrier for kids. The size of the sandbox can be any, depending on how many children will play in it. On average, a design of 1.8 by 1.8 meters is enough for 3-5 children preschool age.

Sandbox can be made from improvised materials

To make a children's sandbox with a lid measuring 1.8 by 1.8 m, you will need:

  • four boards 180 cm long, 30 cm wide and at least 3 cm thick for the sides;
  • four bars 5 by 5 cm and 30 cm long each;
  • two sheets of OSB 180 by 90 cm for the lid;
  • two pieces of board 180 by 30 cm and two bars of 180 cm each for fixing the lid flaps;
  • four door hinges;
  • wood screws 3.5x45 mm;
  • geotextiles, crushed stone for drainage;
  • hacksaw, Phillips screwdriver, building level, tape measure, shovel.

Step by step installation instructions

To make a children's sandbox with a lid and a bench with your own hands, it is advisable to first study the photos of the finished models and draw up your own drawing of the future creation. On the diagram, you must indicate the dimensions of all parts. This approach will greatly simplify the subsequent work.

Drawing of a sandbox with a lid

The entire installation process is divided into the following steps:

  • drawing up a drawing;
  • preparation of material and tools;
  • clearing the site and arranging drainage;
  • base installation;
  • cover installation.

Stages of installation and installation:

  1. On the leveled ground, a square of 1.8 by 1.8 m is marked out and a layer of earth of 5-10 cm is removed. In the center, a hole is made deeper - about 45 by 45 cm.
  2. The central recess is covered with crushed stone, after which the entire area of the square is covered with geotextiles in several layers. Crushed stone in this case plays the role of drainage for draining excess water after rains, and geotextiles protect clean sand from mixing with the ground.
  3. A sandbox box is built from the boards, placing a bar in the corners to stiffen the structure. Boards with bars are connected with self-tapping screws. To make the structure strong, at least four self-tapping screws are screwed on each side. During operation, be sure to check compliance with 90-degree angles.
  4. Start making the lid. To begin with, racks are attached to each of the wings, on which the lid will rest in open form. Stepping back from the long edge of the OSB by 5 cm, a bar is screwed parallel to it along the entire length. A board 180 by 30 cm is attached to the bar, perpendicular to the lid. Do the same with the second sash.
  5. Attach two door hinges on opposite walls of the box. The sashes are laid on the box so that the support posts are in the middle and screwed to the hinges.
  6. Fill the resulting container with sand. It is preferable to take river sand, it is much cleaner than quarry, in which an admixture of clay and pebbles is often found. For children's games, a layer of 15-20 cm will be enough.
  7. The closing sandbox is ready! During games, the folded doors serve as a seat, and in closed reliably protect sand from debris and moisture.

Interesting ideas for creative parents

A square or rectangular sand box is the most common place for children's games. But you can show your imagination and do something interesting and non-standard. Sandbox in the form pirate ship, locomotive or car, of course, will cause great delight among the kids. All that is needed for this - skillful hands, a little material and time.

How to make a fun sandbox boat

A do-it-yourself sandbox-boat will become not only a decoration for the playground, but also a favorite place for young sailors to play. Make it easy. The simplest option is a rectangular base with two posts 1.7 m high in the center, on which an awning sail is stretched.

It is very easy to make such a boat

To build a sandbox boat with an awning, you will need:

  • two boards 170 cm long, 30 cm wide and 3 cm thick for the sides of the box;
  • four boards 70-80 cm long, 30 cm wide and 3 cm thick for the ends and seats on them;
  • two bars 5 by 5 cm and 200 cm long, as well as one 70-80 cm long (along the width of the box) for the mast racks;
  • 3 meters of dense awning fabric;
  • twine for attaching the sail;
  • four threaded hooks, wood screws;
  • fixing metal corners.

Work sequence:

  1. A rectangular box is assembled from boards and mounting corners.
  2. At the ends of the structure, they are screwed along the seat.
  3. Install the future boat in a prepared place.
  4. For the mast, all three bars are connected with self-tapping screws in the shape of the letter P and dug in in the center of the box, deepening 30 cm into the ground. For greater strength, you can additionally screw the bars to the box boards.
  5. The awning fabric is folded in half and thrown over the horizontal crossbar of the mast.
  6. In the corners of the box, they are screwed on a hook. Tie the awning to the hooks with the help of pieces of twine.

The second option is designed for experienced craftsmen, because only real craftsmen can make a sandbox in the form of a real ship with their own hands. The basis of the design are boards and bars. However, you can build something similar using sheets of thick plywood or OSB, from which the outlines of the ship are cut out and mounted on a standard box.

Sandbox car for little riders

Making a sandbox in the form of a car with your own hands is not at all difficult. The main thing is that the structure has wheels and a steering wheel, and other details such as headlights and bumpers can simply be painted with paint. The machine is based on a traditional rectangular box. If the farm has unnecessary tires, this greatly simplifies the work. They are simply dug in a third on the sides of the box, imitating wheels. The steering wheel can also be taken real or cut from a piece of plywood.

If there are no old tires, cuts of thick logs, pieces of OSB, cut and painted under the wheels, will be used. As in the case of a boat, the structure can be completely cut out of plywood. For such a machine you will need:

  • standard sheet OSB 1.22 by 2.44 m 1.0 cm thick or several sheets of plywood;
  • metal fastening corners;
  • wood screws;
  • door hinges, if it is supposed to make an opening hood;
  • jigsaw, sandpaper, tape measure, screwdriver.

Parts to be cut for assembly:

  • body side panels - 2 parts;
  • body ends - 2 parts;
  • cab side panels - 2 parts;
  • hood - 1 part;
  • bumper - 1 piece;
  • roof - 1 detail;
  • dashboard in the cabin - 1 piece;
  • seat - 1 piece.

Stages of work:

  1. A drawing of machine parts is marked on the sheet, after which they are cut out with a jigsaw. All edges are carefully treated with coarse-grained sandpaper so that children do not get hurt by protruding chips.
  2. Connect all the parts with the help of mounting corners.
  3. The seat in the booth is additionally reinforced with a piece of a thick bar so that it does not loosen.
  4. The hood cover is screwed with self-tapping screws or mounted on two door hinges so that it can be opened.
  5. The steering wheel is installed in the cab.
  6. The finished machine is painted, along the way, finishing small details.

A beautiful and solid sandbox will undoubtedly become the center of a children's corner in the country. Its installation does not require any special building skills and does not take much time.

The Internet is full of viruses. They may be disguised as useful programs, or they may even be built into a working desired program. (Quite often found in hacked programs, so hacked programs should be treated with distrust, especially if you download from suspicious sites). So you installed the program, and something else was added to your computer as a bonus (in best case programs for hidden surfing or miners) and at worst warriors, backdoors, stealers and other dirty tricks.

There are 2 options if you don't trust the file.
- Running a virus in a sandbox
- Using virtual machines

In this article, we will consider the 1st option - sandbox for windows.

The sandbox for windows is a great opportunity to work with suspicious files, we will look at how to start using the sandbox.
If you use antiviruses, sandboxes are often built into them already. But I don't like these things and I think it's best to download the sandbox from www.sandboxie.com.

The program allows you to run a file in a specially allocated area, beyond which viruses cannot escape and harm your computer.

You can download the program for free. But, after 2 weeks of use, a sign about the offer to buy a subscription will appear when you turn it on, and the program can be launched in a few seconds. But the program still remains quite functional. Installation will not cause difficulties. And the interface itself is quite simple.

By default, the program will start automatically when you turn on your computer. If the program is running, a tray icon will appear. If not, you should run Start-All Programs-Sandboxie-Manage sandboxie.
The easiest way to run a program in the sandbox is to right-click on the launch file or on the shortcut of the desired program, and in the menu you will see the inscription "Run in the sandbox" click and run. Select the desired profile in which to run and click OK. Everything, desired program works in a safe environment and viruses will not break out of the sandbox.

Attention: some infected programs do not allow running in sandboxes and virtual machines, forcing them to run directly. If you encounter such a reaction, the best thing to do is to delete the file, otherwise run at your own peril and risk

.

If the launch in the sandbox does not appear in the context menu (by right-clicking), go to the program window, select Configure - Integration into Windows Explorer - and check the two boxes under "Actions - run in the sandbox.

You can create different sandboxes. To do this, click Sandbox - create a sandbox and write the name of the new one. You can also delete old ones in the sandbox section (recommended).

There is nothing more to consider in the program. In the end, I want to say - Take care of your data and your computer! Until we meet again

It is a mistake to assume that built-in protection operating system, antivirus or firewall will completely protect against malware. However, the harm may not be as obvious as in the case of viruses: several applications can slow down Windows work, lead to various kinds of anomalies. Over time, the consequences of uncontrolled processes on the part of the "amateur" software make themselves felt, and uninstallation, deletion of registry keys and other cleaning methods no longer help.

In such situations, sandbox programs, which this review is dedicated to, can play an excellent service. The principle of operation of sandboxes is partly comparable to virtual machines (Oracle VM VirtualBox and others, VMware Virtualization). Thanks to virtualization, all processes initiated by the program are executed in a sandbox - an isolated environment with strict control of system resources.

This method of code isolation is quite actively used in anti-virus software (KIS 2013, avast!), in programs such as Google Chrome(Flash works in the sandbox). However, one should not conclude that sandbox programs are a complete guarantee of security. This is just one of the most effective additional funds to protect the OS (file system, registry) from external influences.

A review of the program for creating a virtual environment has already been published on the site -. Today, other applications will be considered, in a broader sense: these are not only desktop solutions, but also cloud services that improve not only security, but also anonymity, making it possible to run from removable media, from another computer.

Sandboxie

Developer Ronen Tzur compares the action of the Sandboxie program to an invisible layer applied on top of paper: you can put any inscriptions on it; when the protection is removed, the sheet will remain intact.

There are 4 main ways to use sandboxes in Sandboxie:

  • Secure internet surfing
  • Privacy Improvement
  • Secure Email Correspondence
  • Keeping the OS in its original state

The last point implies that you can install and run any client applications in the sandbox - browsers, IM messengers, games - without affecting the system. Sandboxie controls access to files, disk devices, registry keys, processes, drivers, ports, and other potentially insecure sources.

First of all, SandboxIE is useful in that it allows the user to flexibly configure sandboxes and privileges using the Sandboxie Control shell. Here, through the context and main menu, the main operations are available:

  • Starting and stopping programs controlled by Sandboxie
  • Viewing files inside a sandbox
  • Restoring the files you need from the sandbox
  • Deleting all work or selected files
  • Creating, deleting, and configuring sandboxes

To run the program in the sandbox, just drag the executable file into the Sandboxie Control window, into the sandbox created by default. There are other ways - for example, the Windows Explorer menu or the notification area. The window of a program running in an emulated environment will have a yellow border and a hash mark (#) in the title.

If, when working with a sandboxed program, you need to save the results to disk, any desired source is specified - the files will be placed in the sandbox folder, while at the specified address, outside the sandbox, it will not be. To "real" transfer files from the sandbox, you should use the restore option. There are two types of them - quick or immediate, in both cases, before starting the program in the sandbox, you need to configure folders for recovery ("Sandbox Settings - Recovery").

More detailed access settings are located in the "Restrictions" and "Access to resources" sections. They may be required if the application cannot run without certain privileges (requires a certain system library, driver, etc.). In "Restrictions", in relation to programs or groups, access to the Internet, to hardware, IPC objects, as well as low-level access is configured. In "Access to resources" - the appropriate settings for files, directories, the registry and other system resources.

Also in the Sandboxie settings there is an important section "Applications", which contains groups of programs for which access to the specified resources is granted. Initially, all list items are disabled; to apply changes for a specific application, you need to mark it in the list and click the "Add" button.

Thus, it is possible to create sandboxes with different parameters. It is allowed to clone the configuration of an existing sandbox, for this, when creating a new one, from the drop-down list, select the environment from which you want to transfer the settings.

Summary

With the Sandboxie application, you can create virtual environments of any configuration, without user restrictions. Sandboxie provides a large number of settings for both individual applications and sandboxes.

[+] Flexible configuration of each sandbox
[+] Creating rules for a group of applications
[-] You can't create distributions
[-] No setup wizard

Evalaze

It is symbolic that Evalaze originates from the Thinstall 2007 program, on this moment VMware company.

Evalaze is not as well known as Sandboxie among sandboxing programs, but it has a number of interesting features, distinguishing it from the series similar decisions. Thanks to virtualization, applications can be run in a standalone environment from any computer, regardless of the availability of drivers, libraries, or newer versions of the application being launched. It does not require any prior configuration or additional configuration files or libraries or registry keys.

Evalaze does not require installation, one caveat: you will need Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0 or higher to work. In the free version, as well as in the professional edition, a virtualization setup wizard and an unlimited number of virtual applications are available. You can download a trial version from the developers' site only upon request (see the developers' email on the site).

The resulting configuration can be saved to a project. From start to finish, the virtual application setup process takes longer than, say, Sandboxie, but is more consistent and straightforward.

It should be noted two additional features of Evalaze, which are likely to be of interest to software developers and testers: this is work with a virtual file system and a virtual registry. These standalone Evalaze environments can be edited at your discretion by adding files, directories, keys necessary for the functioning of a particular virtual program.

Also in Evalaze, you can set up associations out of the box: the virtual application will immediately create the necessary associations with files in the OS upon startup.

Summary

A program with which you can create stand-alone applications that are convenient to use in all sorts of situations, which in general facilitates migration, compatibility, security. Alas, the free version is practically useless, it is only interesting for a very superficial study of the functions of Evalaze.

[-] Poorly functional trial version
[-] The high price of the Pro version
[+] There is a setup wizard
[+] Virtual file system and registry

Enigma Virtual Box

The Enigma Virtual Box program is designed to run applications in an isolated virtual environment. The list of supported formats includes dll, ocx (libraries), avi, mp3 (multimedia), txt, doc (documents), etc.

Enigma Virtual Box models the virtual environment around the application as follows. Before starting the application, the Virtual Box loader is triggered, which reads the information that is necessary for the program to work: libraries and other components - and provides them to the application instead of the system ones. As a result, the program works autonomously with respect to the OS.

It usually takes about 5 minutes to configure Sandboxie or Evalaze sandboxes. At first glance, Virtual Box also does not involve lengthy configuration. In the documentation, the use of the program is actually contained in one sentence.

Only 4 tabs - "Files", "Registry", "Containers" and, in fact, "Options". You need to select an executable file, specify the location of the final result and start processing. But later it turns out that virtual environment you have to create it yourself. For this, the three adjacent sections "Files", "Registry" and "Containers" are intended, where the necessary data is manually added. After that, you can click processing, run the output file and check the program's performance.

Summary

Thus, in Enigma Virtual Box there is no OS analysis before and after installing the application, as is the case with Evalaze. The emphasis is shifted towards development - therefore, rather, Virtual Box is useful for testing, checking compatibility, creating artificial conditions for running a program. Virtualization of unknown applications will cause difficulties, since the user will be forced to specify all the program's links on his own.

[-] Lack of convenient setting
[+] The resources used by the program can be determined independently

cameyo

Cameyo offers application virtualization in three areas: business, development, personal use. In the latter case, the sandbox can be used to keep the OS in a “clean” state, store and run applications on removable media and cloud services. In addition, several hundred already configured virtual applications are published on the cameyo.com portal, which also saves user time.

The steps for creating a virtual application are similar to Enigma Virtual Box: first, a snapshot of the system is created before installation, then after it. Changes between these states are taken into account when creating the sandbox. However, unlike Virtual Box, Cameyo syncs with a remote server and publishes the application to the cloud. Thanks to this, applications can be run on any computer with access to the account.

Through the library (Library) you can download popular system applications (Public Virtual Apps) for subsequent launch: archivers, browsers, players, and even antiviruses. At startup, you are prompted to select an executable file and indicate whether it works stably or not (which, apparently, is somehow taken into account by the moderators of the Cameyo gallery).

Another interesting feature is the creation of a virtual application through . The installer can be downloaded from a computer, or you can specify a file URL.

The conversion process, according to statements, takes from 10 to 20 minutes, but often the waiting time is several times less. Upon completion, a notification is sent to the email with a link to the published package.

Email notification about distribution creation

With all the cloud conveniences, there are two important points to note. First: each program is updated from time to time, and there are rather outdated copies in the library. The second aspect is that applications added by users may violate the license of a particular program. This must be understood and taken into account when creating custom distributions. And thirdly, no one can guarantee that the virtual application posted in the gallery has not been modified by an attacker.

However, speaking of security, Cameyo has 4 application modes:

  • Data mode: the program can save files in the Documents folder and on the Desktop
  • Isolated: no writability in the file system and registry
  • Full access: free access to the file system and registry
  • Customize this app: modifying the launch menu, choosing where to store the program, etc.

Summary

A convenient cloud service that can be connected to on any computer, allowing you to quickly create portable applications. Setting up sandboxes is minimized, not everything is transparent with virus scanning and security in general - however, in this situation, the advantages can compensate for the disadvantages.

Spoon.net

Spoon Tools is a set of tools for creating virtual applications. In addition to being a professional environment, spoon.net deserves attention as a cloud service that integrates with the Desktop, allowing you to quickly create sandboxes.

To integrate with the Desktop, you need to register on the spoon.net server and install a special widget. After registration, the user gets the opportunity to download virtual applications from the server through a convenient shell.

Four features brought by the widget:

  • Create sandboxes for files and applications
  • Tidying up the desktop with shortcuts, quick launch menu
  • Safe testing of new applications, running legacy versions on top of new ones
  • Undo changes made by the sandbox

Quick access to the spoon.net widget is possible through the keyboard shortcut Alt + Win. The shell includes a search string, in combination - the console. It searches for applications on the computer and on the web service.

The organization of the desktop is very convenient: you can drag the necessary files to the virtual desktop, which will be synchronized with spool.net. New sandboxes can be created in just two clicks.

Of course, in terms of setting up sandboxes, Spoon cannot compete with Sandboxie or Evalaze for the reason that they simply do not exist in Spoon. You can not set restrictions, convert a "regular" application into a virtual one. The Spoon Studio complex is intended for these purposes.

Summary

Spoon is the "most cloudy" shell for working with virtual applications and, at the same time, the least customizable. This product will appeal to users who care not so much about the security of work through virtualization, but about the convenience of working with necessary programs everywhere.
