How to make juice from frozen cranberries. Cranberry juice - composition, benefits and contraindications

Today, it is increasingly possible to hear that when taken internally with this remedy, a lot of ailments can be cured. Take, for example, infections of the genitourinary system, which occur for the time being in a latent form - both in men and women - in order to later cause a sudden exacerbation with a bunch of unpleasant consequences.

However, scientists have found that cranberries have the ability to create a protective layer on the bladder mucosa, where, as a rule, the infection “blooms”. It turns out that for the prevention of such diseases (for example, cystitis), you can use ordinary cranberry juice - how to drink it in order to bring maximum benefit to the body?

Firstly, not with glasses, but with spoons (you need to start with small doses, gradually increasing to 30 ml). In addition, it is advisable to dilute cranberry juice with another fresh juice, tea or plain water. This will help cure one sore without earning another. Do not forget that the natural taste of autumn cranberries is not very pleasant for those who do not like sour, which is why it is recommended to sweeten it moderately - with sugar, and preferably with honey.

But there are situations when it is worth doing without "additives" - for example, in the treatment of angina. In such cases, it is recommended that pure cranberry juice be diluted with warm boiled water in a ratio of 1:2 immediately before use and used for gargling.

For problems with the intestines (in particular, for constipation), beet-cranberry juice is more indicated, it will provide both a mild laxative and anti-inflammatory effect. In a 1:1 ratio, the drink is also drunk for hypertension and spasms of cerebral vessels. But not with glasses, but with tablespoons!

For all kinds of respiratory diseases, aloe juice with cranberries is shown. Even a special balm is made, in which the juice of this berry, agave (aloe), lemon, onion, radish, red beet, honey, sugar and alcohol are mixed in equal proportions. This composition is stored in the refrigerator, consumed 3 times a day for a couple of spoons - such a remedy, according to herbalists, helps to get rid of bronchial asthma.

Since cranberry copes with vascular spasm, helps the heart to enrich the brain with oxygen and perfectly removes toxins, athletes who carry heavy loads can drink cranberry juice after training, but not in its pure form, but diluted with water. In principle, ordinary cranberry juice is perfect, but not purchased, but made from natural ingredients.

In general, in the question of how much to drink cranberry juice, you need to go from smaller to larger. Perhaps you should limit yourself to fruit drinks (if you dilute a spoonful of grated berries with a glass of hot water and add a little honey, the healing effect will be achieved in a more gentle way).

Cranberry juice will not be to everyone's taste. A sour berry needs either the addition of sugar or the addition of extraneous vegetables and fruits. Therefore, fruit drinks are more popular than juices, they are less concentrated. But the higher the concentration, the higher the benefit.

Cranberry juice: preparation

The benefits of cranberry juice are obvious to everyone! Such a drink both tones and invigorates, and increases physical performance, and also activates the work of our brain. Among other things, cranberry juice helps to maintain a beautiful, healthy appearance, and in combination with proper nutrition returns youth, blooming appearance and harmony to the fair sex. So how to cook fruit drinks in such a way that, during heat treatment, cranberries retain all of the above miraculous properties and substances?

Everything is very simple: prepare a fruit drink with the addition of freshly prepared natural cranberry juice. So your body will get everything that is useful in fresh cranberries, but at the same time your stomach will not suffer from acid, which cranberries are also very rich in.

It is worth noting that cranberry juice with the lowest sugar content is the most useful, so if you are not allergic to honey, replace sugar with it when preparing juice.

Cranberry juice: recipe

To date, there are a lot of recipes for making cranberry juice. Let's look at two recipes:

  1. cranberry juice with honey - an excellent prevention of colds in winter;
  2. cranberry juice with mint - thirst quencher and energy boost in summer.

So, for cranberry juice with honey, you need to prepare the following ingredients:

  • 1.5 cups fresh cranberries;
  • 1 liter of pure spring water;
  • 2-2.5 tablespoons of honey.

First of all, you need to sort out the cranberries and throw away the bad berries, if any. Mash the berries with a wooden mortar in a deep bowl, it is best to use non-metallic dishes. Now strain the resulting mixture either through a sieve or cheesecloth. You should have gruel with seeds and cranberry juice; Set the juice aside for now. Pour gruel with seeds and peel with one liter of water and put on fire. As soon as the juice starts to boil, reduce the heat and let it boil for five to seven minutes. After this time, we turn off the fire, and we filter the juice again; now the resulting slurry can simply be thrown away. Next, pour the cranberry juice we set aside earlier into the pan and let the fruit drink boil again. In the resulting fruit drink, while it is still hot, add our honey and let it “disperse” there; you can help him and mix with a spoon.

To prepare cranberry juice with mint, we need the following ingredients:

  • 500 gr or 3 cups of fresh cranberries;
  • 8-10 leaves of fresh mint;
  • honey to taste.

As in the first case, we sort through the cranberries and remove the bad berries, then rinse them thoroughly. With a wooden mortar, knead the cranberries, squeeze out pure cranberry juice and leave it aside for now. The resulting slurry is transferred to the pan. Mint leaves should be thoroughly washed and, like cranberries, crushed with a wooden mortar. Now add the crushed mint to the cranberry pulp. Next, pour a mixture of mint and cranberry gruel with two liters of water and put on fire. We wait until the fruit drink boils, now we reduce the fire and let this broth “sweat” for five minutes. Next, turn off the fire, wrap the pan with fruit drink in a warm blanket and wait another hour; now you can strain the juice and pour the previously obtained cranberry juice into it, mix thoroughly and add honey.

How to make cranberry juice from frozen cranberries

Cranberries are harvested late in the autumn, when the first frosts have not yet come. Naturally, the collected cranberries will not be able to lie for a long time, even in the refrigerator, therefore, in order to be able to cook fruit drinks in winter or use cranberries in baking, the freshly picked berry is frozen. Below is a very simple recipe for how to make cranberry juice from frozen cranberries.

Helpful Hint: If you have harvested or purchased fresh cranberries and plan to freeze them, do not wash the berries.

As soon as you take the berries out of the freezer, rinse them with cool water and leave until they are completely thawed. Then, using a blender, grind the cranberries until a gruel is formed. Squeeze the juice through cheesecloth and set it aside for a while. Pour the resulting cake with two liters of water and boil for about ten minutes. After the juice has boiled, turn off the heat and wrap the pan with a blanket or towel and let the broth brew for an hour. Then we filter the now infused fruit drink again, then add our pre-prepared cranberry juice and honey to this fruit drink. Delicious, and most importantly, healthy fruit drink is ready!

When preparing cranberry juice, you can also add your other favorite berries, such as cherries or black currants. Such a fruit drink from a mixture of healthy berries is even more enriched with substances that have a beneficial effect on our body.

So you prepare your stomach for the upcoming food processing, support your immunity, and also help your body cope with daily stress and fatigue. And besides this, in this way you can keep the health of your children, help them cope with constant workloads and stressful situations at school.
