The total required width of the profiles, based on these two considerations, turned out to be 71 mm for the system.

High resistance to heat transfer profile system increases the reduced resistance to heat transfer of windows as a whole. According to the calculated data, for the FAVORIT system with the same double-glazed windows and with a ratio of the glazing area to the product area of ​​0.7, this important indicator increases by 0.03 m2C / W.

This is exactly the amount by which the requirements of the norms increase. For window manufacturers, this means that without changing the design of glass units, but applying a new window system, they will automatically fit into the new norms without increasing the cost of production.

In practice, the resistance to heat transfer is higher than the calculated values. According to tests carried out in the Ural region (SpetsRemStroy LLC) (Test Center Building materials, products and structures of FSUE GRTs KB im. Academician Makeeva V.P.), the following test results were obtained:

  • with a glass unit 4M1-12-4M1-12-4M1: 0.66 m2C / W;
  • with a glass unit 4M1-12-4M1-12-I4: 0.80 m2С / W;
  • with a glass unit 4M1-16-4M1: 0.48 m2С / W;
  • with a 4M1-16-I4 double-glazed window: 0.74 m2С / W.
