Empathy is a conscious or unconscious attachment of the psyche (feeling) to the current emotional state of another person without losing the feeling of the external origin of this experience. Unconsciousness is the path to awareness

There are two systems for evaluating emotional images and forming one's own emotional response. One is for perceived signals, the other is for unconscious signals.
Digression: I must say that "unconscious" and "subconscious" are not the same thing. Freud's "subconscious" includes active suppression, repression from consciousness. As far as I understand, no confirmation of the real existence of this system in the human brain has yet been found. (In general, I get the impression that Freud, although he was a man with an amazing imagination, played in the sense of neurobiology, but did not guess a single letter.) "Unconscious" is something that does not reach consciousness. There are two main reasons for this:
1) Insufficient stimulus strength to generate a response in those parts of the brain that are associated with conscious processing of the stimulus, for example, the image contrast is too low or the speed of movement is too high;
2) At the moment the stimulus appears, attention is directed to something else. The processing of incoming information to which attention has not been paid essentially does not occur. We see only what the attention is directed to. More precisely, we only realize this.
To study the system of unconscious processing of emotions in healthy people, they use such experimental schemes that make a person pass part of the stimuli past consciousness. For example, built on the "attentional blink" effect. I don’t know how this term is used in Russian literature and whether it exists there. Let's translate it as "blink of attention". Its essence is as follows: if a person is presented sequentially two images with an interval of 200-500 milliseconds, then the second image is not detected at all. An alternative version of "backward masking" - "backward masking" - if two stimuli are presented for a short time with an interval of less than 30 milliseconds between them, then, on the contrary, only the second stimulus in the sequence is perceived. Even more interesting is the data obtained in the study of patients with "cortical blindness" - blindness that occurs when the primary visual zones of the cortex are damaged. (Primary in the sense that the main entrance to the brain of signals from the retina is through them). These people at the conscious level do not see at all, since they have destroyed areas of the cortex, without which there is no conscious processing of the visual picture. But at the same time, they remain intact third-party paths that are not associated with conscious processing, but that allow them to see at an unconscious level. Such a person, for example, remarkably bypasses obstacles on his way, but is unable to say anything about them and himself does not understand how to bypass them. Well, they also react to certain emotional images, and can describe their emotions, but remain completely unaware of their causes.
The system of unconscious processing * is faster: the reaction to the demonstration of an emotionally significant stimulus here occurs within 20 milliseconds, and in the system of conscious processing ** - not earlier than 40-50. The "unconscious" system, apparently, is able to work not with any stimuli, but only with strong and evolutionarily significant ones. For example, in facial expressions, she reacts to fear, aggression, happiness, disgust, but more complex ones, such as feelings of guilt or arrogance, are for the “conscious” part. Unconscious is good at highlighting obvious dangers, such as snakes or spiders, but is indifferent to things that evoke compassion (images such as burning horses) or cultural aversion (cockroaches). This must first go through consciousness.
It is assumed that the unconscious system is used to quickly draw attention to a significant stimulus, to speed up and improve its processing, and that the two systems ultimately turn out to be connected. However, the existence of an "unconscious" system creates an opportunity for the emergence of emotions, the source of which remained unconscious, and for the influence of emotional stimuli on decision-making, especially quick ones.

The unconscious and its language

Awareness of the unconscious

One morning, a woman, as usual, got into the car and went to work, which was ten kilometers from her home. On the way, her imagination ran wild and she presented herself as the heroine of a grand adventure. She imagined herself as a simple medieval woman living in the midst of wars and crusades and famous for her strength and sacrifice. She saved her people and met a powerful and noble prince who fell in love with her.

Her mind was completely occupied with these thoughts, and, nevertheless, she drove along several streets, stopped a couple of times under traffic lights, signaled appropriately when turning, and safely reached the parking lot under the windows of her office. When she came to, she realized that she did not remember at all how she got to her destination. She could not remember a single intersection or turn. Her shocked mind asked: "How could I travel such a distance without realizing it at all? Where was my mind? Who drove the car while I was daydreaming?" But this had already happened to her, and so she threw everything that had happened out of her head and went to her study.

As she sat at her desk and was making a plan for the day, her work was interrupted by one of her colleagues, who burst into the office, tossed on the table a memorandum she had recently given to employees, and caused a scandal over some minor point, with which he disagreed with. She was shocked. Such a rage over such a trifling matter! What got into him?

He himself, listening to his raised tone, realized that he was making an elephant out of a fly, he was embarrassed, muttered an apology and, backing away, left the office. Returning to his office, he asked himself: "What came over me? Where did it come from in me? Little things, as a rule, do not make me mad. I was not like myself!" He guessed that his anger had nothing to do with the memorandum of his colleague, but had been simmering in it for a long time, and this insignificant reason only became the last straw, because of which the anger burst out. But where this anger came from, he did not know.

If these people had time to think, then they might guess that this morning they felt the presence of the unconscious in their lives. In an endless stream of banal events Everyday life we are in the most different forms we are faced with an unconscious that operates in us and through us.

Sometimes the unconscious works in parallel with the conscious mind and takes over the driving while the conscious mind is busy with something else. All of us, at least once in our life, had the opportunity to drive several blocks on "autopilot", as the woman from our example did. The conscious mind is distracted for a short time, and the unconscious takes over the direction of our actions. It stops the car at a red light, moves from place to green and monitors compliance with the rules road traffic until the conscious mind returns to its normal state. This is far from the most safe way driving, but the unconscious does provide us with such a magnificent life-saving, built-in "safety net" system that we take this phenomenon for granted.

Sometimes the unconscious gives rise to a fantasy so filled with vivid, symbolic images that this fantasy completely subjugates our conscious mind and holds our attention for a long time. The fantasy of dangerous adventure, heroism, sacrifice, and love that enchanted a woman on her way to work is an excellent example of how the unconscious invades our conscious mind and tries to express itself through imagination, using the symbolic language of images charged with feeling.

Another form of manifestation of the unconscious is unexpected and strong emotion, unexplained joy or unreasonable anger, which suddenly invade our conscious mind and completely subjugate it. This rush of feeling is completely incomprehensible to the aware mind, because the aware mind did not generate it. The man from our example could not explain to himself the inadequacy of his reaction. He asked, "Where did this come from?" He believed that his anger came from somewhere outside and that for a few minutes he "was not himself." But, in fact, this rush of uncontrollable emotions was born in himself, in a place that is so deep within his being that the conscious mind cannot see it. This place is called "unconscious" because it is not visible.

The idea of the unconscious comes from simple observations of everyday human life. Our mind contains material, the presence of which we are mostly unaware of. It so happens that, quite unexpectedly, some memories, pleasant associations, ideals, beliefs come to life in us. We feel that these elements have been somewhere within us for a long time. But where exactly? Yes, in that unexplored part of the soul, which is beyond the reach of the conscious mind.

The unconscious is a wonderful universe, consisting of invisible energies, forces, forms of mind, even individual personalities that all live within us. Most people do not imagine the true size of this great kingdom, which lives its own completely independent life running parallel to our daily existence. The unconscious is the secret source of most of our thoughts, feelings, and actions. And the power of its impact on us is great also because this impact is imperceptible.

When people hear the term unconscious, most of them intuitively understand what in question... We relate this idea to the myriad of big and small events that make up the fabric of our daily life. Each of us had to do something at a time when his thoughts were in a "different place", and then look with amazement at the result of his work. Another thing happens - during some conversation, we suddenly begin to get excited and, completely unexpectedly for ourselves, express a sharp point of view, which we did not even suspect we had.

Sometimes we are amazed: "Where did this come from? I didn’t know that I could have such strong feelings about this?" When we begin to take more seriously such emissions of energy from the unconscious, we understand that the question should sound differently: "What a part of me believes it? Why is this theme causing such a strong reaction in this invisible part of my being? "

We can learn to deal with this issue with great care. The concept "something came over me" implies a sudden invasion of the energy of the unconscious. If I say that I did not look like myself, it is only because I do not understand that the concept of "I" also includes my unconscious. The hidden part of our being has strong feelings and wants to express them. And if we don't learn how to do inner work , this invisible part will remain hidden from our conscious mind.

This hidden personality can be very harmful or violent, and when it manifests itself, we find ourselves in an extremely awkward position. On the other hand, strong and wonderful qualities that we did not even know about can awaken in us. We activate hidden resources and perform actions that in a normal state would never have done, we express such wise thoughts that we were not capable of before, we show nobility and tolerance that were completely unexpected for us. And in each case we are shocked: "I never thought that I could be like this. I have qualities (both positive and negative) that I did not even know about." These qualities lived in the unconscious, where they were inaccessible to "neither sight, nor mind."

Any of us is something more than the "I" that he considers himself to be. At any moment, our conscious mind can only focus on a limited sector of our being. Despite all our efforts towards self-knowledge, only a very small part of the vast energy system of the unconscious can be connected to the conscious mind or can function at the level of consciousness. Therefore, we must learn to get to the unconscious and understand the meaning of its messages: this is the only way to comprehend the unknown part of our being.

Empathy is a conscious or unconscious attachment of the psyche (feeling) to the current emotional state of another person without losing the feeling of the external origin of this experience.

With the gift of empathy, you get the opportunity to look into other people's experiences. You can feel someone else's pain and it can bring you to tears, and you want to help this person.

There is hyperactive empathy.
It is when you have this gift, but do not know how to control it, you are open to all the emotions and impressions of other people, but you cannot center your own feelings and needs. In society, you feel the entire emotional background, even walking down the street, you can feel what is happening with people passing by. Physical empathy can even lead to physical pain that is not yours ("someone else's headache").

Empathy is a gift, and in most people it is expressed to varying degrees. If you have the gift of empathy, you need to know how to turn it into your helper and be able to turn it off. Ideally, you should be able to use it at will and "turn it off" when necessary. Some people intuitively know how to do this. Others do not know how to do this.

When you begin to empathize with someone (pity and sympathy), your field collapses.
In other words - when you are centered, you are like a solid bowl, after you start to empathize and get nervous, your field becomes like a colander.

You have holes in your energy body through which your energy goes to another person, so you start to feel like yourself. The opposite also happens when energy flows into you and you absorb everything that is happening around you; from other people, places and events.

When you know how to manage your gift, empathy becomes a real gift because it allows you to see things and events happening with other people. Compassion evokes compassion in us, and compassion allows us to take care of others, to help people who turn to you. Empathy allows you to experience the experience of the oneness of being, to feel what it is like to be a different person, to understand the actions of other people.
***
If you do not know how to disable this ability, then it can greatly affect your life and destroy you.
***
Disadvantages of having the gift of empathy if you don’t know how to “turn it off”: The spectrum is very large - from annoyance to debilitating physical and emotional state - for example, when you take on the physical and emotional pain of other people.

Are the following problems close to you?

* The presence of hyperactive empathy in a relationship:
Have you had a relationship in which you felt that someone was very upset when they had problems and you wanted to help them? This is of course good if you want to help a person, but what if you want to help a person so badly that you begin to "take over" his problems? What if your own boundaries become blurred, you take on someone else's responsibilities and do not understand where you are and where the other is?

What if by doing this you prevent a person from accepting responsibility for these events and close to him the ability to change the situation, gain experience and create his own life? Hyperactive empathy is associated with codependency of empaths and others, as well as a lack of grounding and a weak sense of their clear boundaries in an empath.

* Hyperactive empathy in the social environment:
When you are in society, you are so focused on the people around you that you can read them subtly, intuitively understand the meaning of all their actions. You seem to plunge into their world, into their energy, into their emotions and feelings. If everything in the room is in color, then you are in shades of gray, because you are not yourself, you are losing your integrity.

* Overactive emotional empathy:
Have you ever had situations where you were simply overwhelmed by someone else's emotional pain? When someone has a severe loss, for example, someone died, and you start supporting this person, and then you start to feel bad, cry all day and feel all the grief of that person. This kind of emotional empathy is completely unnecessary and irrelevant.

* Overactive empathy in certain places:
This is when you enter a building and begin to feel the entire emotional background of this place. This is especially evident in places with a large number of people (hospitals, schools, etc.).

* Physical empathy: Do you feel other people's pain? You can get terrible headaches from physical empathy. It often happens that empaths are like sponges taking over the physical pain of other people.

These are the most common types of empathy, although there are many more types of empathy, such as intellectual compassion, empathy with animals and plants.

You can learn to manage your gift of empathy,
using three simple methods:

1. Pay attention to how you feel
To overcome empathy, you need to go back to yourself! To center yourself, you need to test yourself: at least once a day, tune in to how you are feeling. Keep a journal and write down how you feel and why before you go to bed.
When people ask you about something, then before you say "Yes", check what you think about it. Don't just automatically feel their needs, but first turn your attention to yourself before reacting. Take time to center and pay attention to your feelings. This will take time, but soon, when you are not so strongly attuned to others, your feelings will return to you.
***
Meditation can also be good tool for centering if done regularly. Imagine how your energy comes back to you from other people and you feel whole again.
***
When I feel that my energy is “out there” (especially after working on a computer and on the Internet all day), I often do visualization, in which I see how my energy returns to me from the Internet sites I visit, from people, with whom I spoke, from spirits that I heard, from clients with whom I worked. This visualization simply triggers the intention to bring your energy back to you. This is very useful exercise, it can be done before bedtime.

2. Get into the habit of asking your subconscious or Higher Self (angels, God, the Universe) to release energies that are not yours.

When you feel that you have “picked up” other people's energies or lost yourself in relationships with other people, try taking three deep, long breaths, and then say this little prayer: “Now I call on my Higher Self / subconsciousness / God / angels to help me remove from my physical body and mine thin bodies energies that do not belong to me. Made! Made! Made! Om! OM TAT SAT! "

You can come up with your own appeal or use this. You don't need to make it very complicated and long. It should be short and simple. Appeal to Higher Forces is very powerful and effective way to clear your energy.

3. Allow yourself to enjoy life
Most empaths are very depressed and cannot enjoy life due to the constant emotional interaction with other people. They often think that they are only here to help those who are suffering. They feel responsible for the suffering and feelings of others and feel it is their duty to help everyone feel better.

To fix this, focus on the joy of interacting with other people. If you do not enjoy communicating with a person and you feel that this person is draining your energy, then it is better to stop communicating. In everyday communication, prioritize your enjoyment of communication and pay less attention to other people than you usually do. This may sound incredibly selfish, but many empaths need to change their approach to their gift.

Empathy levels

Empathic Ability and Mindfulness Levels

Empathy is definitely one of the directions and manifestations of extrasensory perception... What psychology calls spontaneous empathy is not empathy yet, but simply empathic people, a level close to empathy, but not empathy in the full sense of the word. The first signs of empathy are the ability to deliberately, albeit with great difficulty, but to read the feelings, emotions of another person.

Empathy training

Empathic abilities can be roughly divided into several levels.

The ability is based on the power of the soul or mind, although it is not uncommon for it to be just an overexcited Anahata chakra. Here are at least 3 sources of empathy for people. But empathy gives more serious results in the variant when a person has what is called an "ancient soul" in esotericism. Yes, it is Souls, Souls as a manifestation of life, as a person. Psychics - empaths can see - feel this soul power, identify and describe its parameters. You can also communicate with the soul in the language of feelings, emotions, aspirations, desires, intentions if there is a predisposition to such communication and certain skills. The language of communication of the Soul much more complicated and informative than the usual verbal form of communication. After all, in words we are only trying to describe what we are experiencing.

Empathy is of 2 main types.

  1. Soul Reading Empaths Soul Empathy
  2. Empathy with the Mental Attention Ray - Personal empathy
  3. Also worth mentioning Chakra empathy , this is not a full-fledged type of empathy, but is often present when people communicate, and makes it possible to interact at the level of feelings and emotions.

Below are the levels of empaths using the mental ray of attention to read sensory-emotional information.

Not empaths- people with difficulty defining their own emotions. Their own feelings are almost inaccessible to them. They determine the emotional states of other people by indirect signs, external manifestations, behavior, actions only sometimes, if you pay their attention to these manifestations. For such people, feelings are something strange, incomprehensible, often interfering with life.

Empathic people - people of this type determine their own feelings and emotions. Sometimes they can hear the feelings and emotions of other people, usually spontaneously, without realizing it. Empathic people are aware of feelings, but very rarely deliberately turn their attention to this area of human manifestation.

Empaths Level 1 - empaths define their own feelings and emotions. They have access to shades of feelings, their simple bouquets. Hear the feelings and emotions of other people, being near them, but do not realize that these feelings and emotions do not belong to them.

Empaths Level 2 - Level 2 empaths know very well what feelings and emotions are. They may deliberately read other people's feelings and emotions, for example, by looking into a person's eyes. But they do not yet realize the extrasensory nature of this phenomenon.

Empaths Level 3 - empaths who are aware of themselves as empaths. They can deliberately read the feelings and emotions of other people, simply by tuning in to them, without even being near the person, for example, from a photograph. They already know how to distinguish their feelings and emotions from those of others, but they do not yet know how to clearly identify whose feelings they are.

Empaths Level 4 - empaths of this level perfectly read the entire range and the filling of the sensory-emotional range. Empaths of this level can read from any source - the person himself, a photograph, an image in the mind of another person, just any trace on a subtle level. These empaths are already professionals, they can not only feel, but also “see” the energetic filling of the flow, they have access not only to feelings - emotions of other people, but also the direction of these feelings - emotions, attitudes, intentions. They see the power of feelings influencing a person, a person's readiness to act. They can perfectly distinguish their feelings from the feelings of other people, and they can also identify the person whose feelings they accept. Able to keep several objects in empathic attention. Can manage own feelings- emotions. Empaths of this level are already fluent in empathic reading, can independently, consciously develop and train their gift, can teach this to weaker empaths. Also at this level, the empath is well aware of the extrasensory nature of its capabilities and understands that empathic reading and communication is possible not only with people, but also with all living things - animals, plants and even with souls, entities that do not have a physical body.

Level 5 Empaths - empaths of the 5th level differ from empaths of the 4th level in that they know how to manage their own feelings and emotions well, as well as to varying degrees to manage the feelings and emotions of other people.

Usually, empaths of the 4th - 5th levels are excellent at using various other types of extrasensory perception, such as foresight, anticipation, contacteeship, vision of energy flows - fields, as well as their control.

Empathy levels: 86 comments

Hello dear blog readers " Leadership and the Psychology of Success ". In so many of my articles, I remember these or those the possibilities of our subconscious... But I did not try to reveal this topic in detail, except for one small article called "". So I decided that it was time to talk in more depth about one of the most little-known functions of the human psyche.
The influence of the subconscious on and the fulfillment of desires is difficult to overestimate - it is from the basic subconscious programming (unconscious beliefs) that the events that occur or do not occur in our life depend.

CONTENT:
- The term of the subconscious mind from general psychology;
- On the psychoanalytic concept of the subconscious;
- The subconscious mind as a limitless storage;
- The term of the collective unconscious;
- Subconscious programming of the future;
- The source of everything that exists;
- What influences the formation of subconscious programs;
- The structure of the subconscious: sensations, automatism, impulse, information, attitude, imagination, intuition;
- The place of the conscious in subconscious responses.

Let's start with the most difficult thing - the terms of the subconscious.

- The term " subconscious"from general psychology
The subconscious is a term denoting psychophysiological processes that exist without displaying them in consciousness and regardless of conscious control. But, nevertheless, all these subconscious processes in to a greater extent depend just on a person's conscious perception of the environment.

- About the psychoanalytic concept " subconscious"
Subconscious (unconscious or unconscious) - unification mental processes functioning with a lack of subjective control. Everything that is not an object of awareness for a person is considered subconscious. The term "subconscious (unconscious)" is widely used in psychology, psychiatry, philosophy, or in unrecognized sciences that study all sorts of options for attracting success. And, of course, it is often used in this blog =)) The unconscious can also be described as automatic actions that are not controlled by a person's consciousness.

- "Subconscious"as a repository of everything that has been, is or will be
Also, the subconscious explains one of the functions of our memory to automatically and instantly record everything that ever happened to us or will happen, regardless of the activity of our consciousness at certain moments. That is, with proper reference to the subconscious channels, everyone will be able to recall any actions, events, objects, thoughts that ever arise on his life path. In the subconscious, any small feature of this world is stored that interacted with our energy field to one degree or another. For example, we are all able to remember what happened to us ten, twenty, thirty years ago. Recall what kind of thought at a certain moment was comprehended, what smells surrounded us, what feelings prevailed in consciousness and even, for example, what was happening at that moment outside of our attention. And if we sleep, everything that happens around our energy field is still deposited in the subconscious.

- Collective unconscious
In 1916, Karl Jungov introduced such a concept as collective unconscious - This is a subconscious form that is uniform for the whole society as a whole and is a product of inherited brain structures. The main difference between the collective subconscious and the individual is that it is common to different segments of the population. This is perhaps one of the deepest layers of the hidden unconscious that is known today. And on an individual subconscious level, any creature on the planet interacts with the collective unconscious.
For an example of the work of the collective unconscious, I will give the results of one interesting experiment, which I can hardly retell, but I hope the meaning will be clear. At one time, some kind of natural cataclysm happened on several islands, which destroyed almost the entire crop for the local animal world. This led to the fact that the monkeys had nothing to eat and the government, I don't remember which country =), decided to help the animals. Potatoes were thrown onto the islands, which later ate the monkeys. The potatoes were heavily soiled with earth, which brought some inconvenience to the animals, but one day, one of the containers filled with food fell into the water and several monkeys realized that the potatoes could be washed. Subsequently, every monkey on this island used this method, but the most important feature was far from this, but the fact that in the future on each of the remaining and unconnected islands, the animals simultaneously began to act in the same way as the monkeys from the first islands.

Subconscious programming of the future

In the collective unconscious, everything that has ever happened during the entire evolution of the planet is theoretically preserved. It also programmed the nearest (in a sense, possible) future of any person in particular, and of humanity in general. But this does not mean that life is somehow planned in advance. We and we alone are the magicians of our destiny. A subconscious programming of possible events happens according to this principle: people emit a certain constant stream of thoughts and feelings, which are material energy. This energy vibrates in a certain direction and creates certain events that will occur only if this flow of energy does not change, or rather, the thoughts and feelings prevailing in the minds of humanity do not change. This is the secret of the prophets, who differ from ordinary people only in that they can read information from subconscious channels.

The subconscious mind as the source of everything that exists

Besides, all kinds of answers already exist in the subconscious channels to any questions, riddles, secrets, as well as any ideas, works, discoveries, events. Everything that was or will ever be invented has actually already existed from the very beginning in the general subconscious of all mankind. Don't believe me? Read the rules for working with the subconscious of such brilliant people as Einstein, Edison, Emerson, Ford and many others (). These channels are widely open in geniuses, believers (meaning not religious, but enlightened ones) or so-called sorcerers, prophets, magicians. The rest have to work very hard in a certain direction (for example, in business, in poetry, in literature, in art, and so on) so that ideas come in the form of visual clues or sudden mental decisions, which we will later consider to be the result of the work of our intellect exclusively. In a sense, it is, because for some reason it is we who come to this, and not someone else, but all the same, all these thoughts / answers already existed - we just found them as a result of our efforts. In theory, it is possible and there are such questions for which all the levels of the subconscious are at this moment will not be able to give an answer, but today's humanity has not reached even a small fraction of the level of awareness that could generate such questions in our minds.
Almost everyone can learn more freely. Such an ability to work correctly and interact with it makes it possible to find any event, find any information, come up with any discovery, solve any problem, create any work, plan and implement any action and any desire.

What influences the formation of subconscious programs

Subconscious programs are practically not controlled by a person's consciousness, but initially they are almost completely formed or corrected just during conscious processes. At birth, the subconscious channels of a person are almost completely cleared, except for some residual information from the previous existence of the soul - we will not now prove about the possible immortality and transmigration of the soul (this is not what this topic is about), but that the child comes into this world with a certain program of his own ( energy) is reality. And on this first point influencing the formation of subconscious programs will:
- Previous energy features souls. In almost all cases, they do not have a significant impact on the future fate of a person, but they form some priorities in desires and features in the character of the child.
- The next point is parental inheritance or, in other words, karma. I think everyone understands that from parents we get some kind of positive or negative energy, genetic characteristics, habits, health, conviction, and so on. These channels are formed automatically and unconsciously, but are completely corrected by the third (next) and fourth points.
- The third point is upbringing, the appropriation of certain beliefs in which parents, the state, relatives, and those around them believe. Constant study external environment, in which you have to dwell. All kinds of information flows, prohibitions, rules, fears, desires. Automatic formation of the first positive and negative habits. In general, everything and everyone around and interacting in any way with a weakly conscious person. This is also appropriated on an unconscious or partially unconscious level. All these programs are almost completely corrected by the next paragraph.
- The fourth point is the conscious formation or correction of subconscious programs or the consolidation of all previous reactions. It comes at the moment when the person becomes fully conscious. And subsequently, there is either the consolidation of some previously assigned subconscious processes (habits, beliefs, ways of thinking, skills), or blocking and interchange of them. New (or old) views, ideas, images, rules, skills, fears, anxieties, aspirations, desires, dreams are formed or consolidated. This is the most main step in the formation of subconscious processes on which your life path will depend. But it is also the most difficult one. Right now, the belief in your own capabilities or impossibilities is based, which will later become the cutting stone of your life. That is, it is from this period that a person will form his subconscious to attract success or to block all possible manifestations of it.

This is perhaps all of the most important points creating a certain basis, a certain image of the subconscious. But it is very important to understand that no matter what stage a person is at or what he is doing, his subconscious is always awake and perceives a huge amount of various information, even if you do not consciously supply it to him. Almost all people do not attach any importance to this, but this flow of information strongly affects unconscious processes. And it can be both negative and positive (creative). On the one hand, it is not pleasant when your subconscious mind is constantly correcting without your intervention, but when you look at it from the other side, it can be used as a great advantage, if you understand the essence. And the bottom line is that you probably constantly watch your favorite television programs, listen to some music, watch certain films, unconsciously and consciously listen to public opinion, read some newspapers and magazines, use in your speech, constantly communicate with a certain circle of friends and acquaintances. And now I will reveal to you a not so secret secret: in approximately 96% of the people of the planet, all these sources, which I listed a little above, are at a certain negative level. This population is characterized by either complete failure, or small manifestations of it. In the remaining 3-4% of the world's population, the flow of information is completely different, more positive and more creative. These people have 97% of all money and they are either successful or very successful. In simple words, if most of the incoming information is positive and with shades of success, abundance, opportunity, then beliefs and subconscious programs will be formed in this direction. If, on the contrary, most of this information will carry negativity, fears, helplessness, anxiety, poverty, losses and disasters, then the subconscious mind will work to attract even more of this into your life. Now remember how little useful and positive television is. There are so few positive and successful friends in your life who talk not about problems, but about victories and success. There is so much talk in public opinion about problematic politics, about failures, about the insignificance of a person and his illnesses, about problems and shortcomings, and the like. And which of this is yours, ONLY YOU CHOOSE!

The structure of the subconscious

The manifestation of the subconscious in certain forms, which in general create the structure of one whole.
-1. Feel... People feel everything that influences and influences them. But this does not mean in any way that this is all fully realized by consciousness. In the subconscious of a person, certain conditioned reflexes are formed that react to all kinds of irritations of internal organs and impulses from them come to the cerebral cortex, but at the same time they do not turn into conscious sensations as such, but still influencing a certain behavior of the organism.
There are subconscious sensations... Since we receive every second a multitude of all kinds of impressions and influences, a lot is missed by us. Moving, for example, along the street, we contemplate an incredible number of movements, we hear a huge variety of sounds that orient us during this movement. But we only focus our attention on them when something unpredictable, unexpected, or important happens.
All this countless number of different vibrations, actions, phenomena, movements and properties are constantly occurring in front of us, but they are not in any way recognized and perceived by consciousness, unless something happens that still forces us to pay attention to it (this is why many people may not notice many potential opportunities in front of their noses until they diligently search for them, concentrating all their attention.) It is impossible to consciously perceive all the impact, because trillions of terabytes of information are constantly falling on us and it is not real to cope with such a task, because you would have to keep countless irritants in your focused attention and in an instant be aware, ponder hundreds of thousands of thoughts. And also we would not be able to switch from negative (destructive) thoughts to positive (constructive) ones, and they would simultaneously disturb our emotions, and they, in turn, would not understand what kind of energy to emit. To our great joy, we have the ability to disconnect from some influences and focus on others, completely oblivious to the third. And from all this volume of information coming to our subconsciousness, we unconsciously selects, basically, only that which worries or interests us. That is why, looking at the same thing, everyone can see completely different things, and also being in absolutely equal conditions, one does the impossible, and the other drowns in his helplessness.
-2. Automatism... The activities of each person in normal conditions perceived deliberately. But nevertheless, some elements of any activity are carried out at a subconscious level, automatically. For example, in the morning we perform a lot of automatic actions, such as getting dressed, washing, eating, and the like. Or during movement (walking) we make all efforts subconsciously, except for the first instruction to move - we do not focus on which foot, how and where to step, but in childhood the child consciously focused and learned to walk with full concentration. Thus, complex and automated skills, habits, skills are created in people's lives, in which consciousness is both present and absent at the same time. All automated actions are characterized as unconscious, but not all unconscious actions are automated.
Very interesting is the fact that fully conscious actions can be carried out only under such conditions when maximum value its elements flow automatically. For example, only the individual is able to fully focus his attention on the content of the stated oral speech if he has a complete automatism of the very action of pronouncing the speech (that is, he does not think about how to pronounce his speech correctly and can fully concentrate on the very meaning of the stated idea). In order to adequately play any kind of sport, one needs certain and well-developed skills, abilities, abilities inherent in this game and brought to complete automatism, so as not to think about the action itself, but to choose which of these actions will bring the desired result.
Studies of all kinds of automatism have proved that it (automatism) is far from simple machine-like, since it is characterized by the ability to change or rebuild in the movement itself. Also, in the mental activity of people, there are areas that cannot be completely transferred to the level of automatism. For example, it is not possible to completely reduce the entire process of playing any musical instrument to automatic action.
Automation of many functioning human processes constitute a significant and necessary feature various mental actions - thinking, speech, memorization, perception and others. These automations relieve our consciousness of the general and constant monitoring and observation of all these actions. But no matter what, consciousness still carries out something like indirect and general observation, and in cases of need it is able to take control of an automated action, speed it up, stop or slow it down.
-3. Pulse... It appears during impulsive, spontaneous, emotional actions, when a person is not aware of the consequences of his actions and commits them completely subconsciously. The so-called "state of passion".
-4. Information... Information is constantly accumulating during the entire human life and is transformed into a kind of experience settling in our subconscious memory. And of the entire amount of available knowledge, at a certain (right) moment, only a small and, in a sense, purposeful part of it will be displayed. But which part of knowledge will be covered and the effect of its usefulness for a given action will just depend on the previous life experience.
-5. Installation... Installation is a form of the cardinal manifestation of the subconscious. This is a kind of mental phenomenon inherent in man and giving the opportunity to direct the flow of our thoughts and feelings. The attitude speaks of the general and integral state of the personality, and expresses the certainty of mental life, a predisposition to any actions, orientation towards any of the types of activity, a stable orientation in relation to certain objects and events.
A stable orientation of the subconscious to a specific object is maintained until all expectations are met. For example:
a) We would cease to be afraid of wolves if at every our meeting with them, they tenderly wagged their tail at our feet;
b) When a person is endowed with a negative reputation, then by any of his actions, even the most innocent, he will arouse suspicion.
Attitudes often express an inflexible, overly stable and painfully obsessive nature, which is called fixation (people can feel a strong fear, for example, of a mouse, while realizing the complete absurdity of this emotional state).
-6. Imagination... - this is the mental activity of a person, based on the creation of mental images, situations, ideas, which later will not be perceived as a whole as reality. It is formed on a certain operation with specific emotional images or visual models of our reality, but at the same time it contains the outlines of generalized, mediated knowledge that connects it with thinking. The departure from material reality characteristic of imagination provides an opportunity to substantiate it as a process of transforming the reflection of reality.
The main function of the imagination is based on the ideal representation of the results of an activity even before they are achieved in reality. In a sense, to experience anticipation of something that does not yet exist at the moment. Associated with this function is the ability to make discoveries, find new paths to success, and seek solutions to emerging problems. Not a single discovery in the world happened if the imagination was not involved in the work on it.
Imagination is divided into creative and recreational. Creative imagination is self-creation new images and their embodiment in the form of original objects of artistic, scientific and technical activities... Recreational imagination is the creation of new images for pre-existing objects that do not correspond to previous images or descriptions.
There is also a special kind creative imagination entitled "dream"- imagination of images of the desired future.
The multifaceted sphere of the subconscious emotional world is the illusory world of dreams - the involuntary activity of the imagination. In dreams, pictures of reality are usually torn apart and not endowed with elements of logic. In the psychological and philosophical opinion, sleep is explained as a temporary loss of the feelings of one's being, partial deliverance from the negative and mundane own "ego".
-7. Intuition... Intuition is a kind of ability to feel the truth in a way of direct perception of it, without any reason or evidence confirming this truth. Many processes of scientific cognition of the environment, as well as different kinds artistic representations of the world are not always carried out in an expanded, factually and logically proven form. Very often people will embrace with a thought difficult situations(for example, during revolutionary and spontaneous business decisions, when determining the diagnosis of a patient, when perceiving a battle, when clarifying the guilt or innocence of the accused, etc.).
Intuition does not represent any special unidentified path of cognition leading to a certain bypass of sensations, thinking and ideas. It reflects a way of thinking, when many processes of the same thinking occur in consciousness to a greater or lesser extent subconsciously, on unconscious level... But in the end, the true itself or the full result of all unconscious thought is clearly realized.

The influence of conscious activity on subconscious responses

One of the important foundations of any creativity is purposeful mental work / activity. Maximum and long-term immersion in a certain idea or problem, as well as a passion for it. Once Charles Darwin was asked how he came to one of his discoveries, namely the discovery of the law of natural selection, to which he said: "I was constantly thinking about this." If you just just wait for a solution or the appearance of the desired idea, then most of all, they will never come. To catch the truth in casual observation or in a spontaneously swept thought can only be the person who thinks a lot, often, with enthusiasm and consciously about the decision.
Thus, the unconscious is not just something "hidden" from the subject's self-knowledge. It is completely free from established patterns, more global and more flexible in all possible directions of its movement, in the types of formation (creation) of associative links. And this is its heuristic capabilities.
