Determining the dimensions of the castle

This stage depends on how large you want to make the building. I personally recommend making 100 * 50 cubes. This will be enough. I made a smaller castle, which I later regretted. Next, you should mark the boundaries of the castle - make a rectangle 100 * 50, one cube wide and high. It is better to do this from the material that you will use to build the castle. Next, you need to count 20 cubes from each wall - there will be a courtyard. If you are not playing on a peaceful level of difficulty, then you will need protection from mobs, especially. Hence the next point - the walls.

Walls

If you are only threatened by zombies, spiders and endermen, then it's okay. But if several creepers appear near the walls, then this is very bad. Therefore, walls should be made of obsidian. It is very difficult to get it in the game, so you can use the MCEdit program again. It is recommended to make the walls three-layer - the first and third layers of any material, in the middle is obsidian. The height of the walls is 5 - 8 blocks. In this case, the walls will be beautiful and light. Personally, I have a red brick, like the whole castle. This construction scheme is suitable because it is practically indestructible, the brick destroyed by the creepers can be easily re-installed. You can also make sure that the creepers do not approach the walls at all - put a lava moat. To do this, it is enough to make a hole outside, 10 cubes from the walls and 1 cube deep, and then pour lava.

What is the same castle without beautiful gate? Let's start creating them. The face of the castle will be a side of 100 cubes. The gate is made in the wall, so we count: 100 cubes + 40 (those 20 cubes of the castle courtyard) + 6 (2 wall thicknesses) = 146 cubes. This will be the length of the wall. The main rule of a beautiful castle is symmetry. Therefore, we make the gate exactly in the middle. For this, it was necessary to calculate the length of the wall. So, we divide 146 by 2 it will be 73. We count 73rd cube from the beginning of the wall... This is the exact middle. We mark this cube with another block so as not to get confused. Then we remove 2 blocks on each side of the cube for the entire height of the wall. In total, we get a gap in the wall 5 cubes wide. Then we make the floor out of something. Next, you need to make an arch, it can be triangular, round, square, in general, as your fantasy tells you. Next, you can make a lattice, forcing the opening with fences. You can make a door. You can go even further - make pistons that extend the fence, and attach a combination lock to the pistons, as I did in my lock. Oh yes, there is also a lava ditch, which must somehow be crossed. To do this, you can put pistons under the lava, to which they can be brought. Redstone must be brought in from both sides. Otherwise, how can you go back. You need to activate it with a button, if you do this with a lever, then the bridge will remain standing. Also, repeaters must be installed at both ends, with a delay of about 5 seconds. How it works. You leave the lock, press the button, repeaters are activated through it, the pistons rise, and you pass through them. After 5 seconds, the pistons descend back into the lava. To get back, you need to click on one more button.

Lock

Well, finally. Remember, the castle walls were marked. So, run the MCEdit program again, and close the floor. Castle, this is a medieval building, what was used then? Wood, it is with them that we close the floor. Then we make the walls. They must be made 9 blocks high. 7 blocks are the wall itself, the 8th block is the ceiling, the 9th block is again wood - the floor for the next floor. So we make as many floors as you need, or until the height ends (128 blocks in regular versions and 256 starting from 12w07a). It is not necessary to make the walls right up to the top; it is better to make 5 - 6 floors. Next, you can make a semblance of a pyramid or semicircle with a small area on top. Next, we make a tower on this site. It should be made round, it will be more beautiful. No need to do it all the way to the top, we leave 10 blocks. Then we make a platform on the tower. Seen from the side, it will look like a letter T, where the vertical line is the tower, and the horizontal is the very platform. Then we make the walls, it can be thin, because no one can reach the top, unless of course you bothered to put torches for lighting. Then we make a cone-shaped roof. If the platform is rectangular, it will look like a pyramid; if it is round, then it will look like a cone made of circles, each with a smaller diameter of the previous one. Then I attached three more small turrets to the base of this tower. On the sides and back. They can be seen on the screen.

Window

As mentioned earlier, the key to a beautiful building is symmetry. Windows are no exception. There are no special instructions on the shape of the windows. We just arrange them according to symmetry. As an example, you can see the screenshot of my castle.

Towers

What is a castle without towers? Making towers. It all depends on your choice. You can make the tower round, or you can make it square. Let's say the tower will be square, like mine, made of red brick. We make a base of 7 * 7 blocks, then build up 16 blocks. Then, on the 16th block, we make a protrusion on the side by 2 blocks in a circle. Now walls are being made, a wall is being built on the second (extreme block) of the ledge. In my opinion, a good proportion of the tower would be 2/1, that is, we have 16 blocks at the base of the tower, then the height of the wall will be 8 blocks. Making a wall. Then we build a roof in the shape of a pyramid, preferably from a different material, so it will be more beautiful. Now we make windows. We just cut holes through one block as in the screenshot.

My windows are covered with glass, but if you are going to defend yourself from mobs, it is better to leave them open. Since I have 4 towers in the corners, in order to pass between them I made a bridge from a glowing stone. I also made flags from a fence and white wool on each tower, just for beauty. Next, we lay a staircase in the tower. In order not to bother, you can make a regular one by attaching it to the wall. But I made a screw, from wooden steps... Also, you noticed that I also have towers on the castle itself, I made them to kill mobs when I'm too lazy to leave the castle. It is better not to put glass there, too.

Yard decoration

Walking around an empty yard will quickly get bored, so you need to furnish it. At the back of the castle, I planted a garden - six trees in a row, between which there is a well. I also used bone dust on the grass, as a result of which the yard was transformed - overgrown with grass and flowers. I also made paths of glowing stone between the towers. The yard is a large place, so to prevent mobs from spawning, you need to light it up, I temporarily put torches, but you can make lanterns. To do this, put three fences on top of each other, and put wool of any color on top. Then you need to put torches on the four sides of the wool, and the lantern is ready.

It is simply necessary to decorate the castle, since without this it will simply be just rooms inside and walls outside. I made a balcony for myself, which I glazed over. I also made a kind of waterfall from the balcony - two water sources on the sides, which descend to the bottom, into the "bowls". Inside the balcony I put tables, a chandelier and a sofa. This can be seen on the screenshots.

The ground floor is pretty large fireplace, which is made of gold and fenced with a grate. Inside there is a hellish stone, which, as you know, burns forever when set on fire.

I plan to make a call. This will be a button that is connected through a redstone to several repeaters with different delays, the repeaters, in turn, will be connected to the music blocks. When you press the button, several sounds will be played. I also put a library in the castle - a lot bookcases three blocks high. In the latter versions of Minecraft spawning eggs appeared that allow spawning mobs, so I let people into the castle. Even in a recent photo, he appeared, which can be tamed and turned into a cat. So I let about two dozen cats into the castle.
