The first thing to start with is to find out standard sizes carpets. Carpets

This way, you will have a large sample of fabric so that you can better “try on” it in the store.

If the carpet is hanging on the wall in a salon or store, ask to be removed because the color of the carpet can change dramatically, and you can see how it will look on the floor. It is much easier to see which rug would look best in your home if you, again, have all the important coordinating fabrics with you. Place them on the floor next to the carpet.

Never buy a rug without "trying on" it at home in the first place. Or at least if you're 99% unsure if it will work, don't settle for a purchase. "Can I take it for approval?" ask this question and this is the only way (which many stores understand) to test it. However, most stores, especially government-owned stores, will not want to provide you with a rug until you get it.

If you cannot take the carpet with you "for fitting", you can ask the one that is closest to its color, or the same, small sample rug, and then at home to choose the prototype of the future carpet you need in size and color using this template.
