How to make a list of your goals.

One of best advice, which can be given to you: "look to the future with confidence - in the direction of your dreams" and set the right goals in life.

Most of us live like the wind - moving back and forth, from one day to the next.

But I believe that our life is not just an accident, and that we should all participate in "designing" it. You could call it lifestyle design.

Ever since The Bucket List with Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman came out, more people have been writing their own goals list.

Goal setting is not just about writing a list. It is the starting point for designing the life we live. Maybe it's time for you to think about all the big and small things that you would like to accomplish in your life.

Every year, usually in December, people make a list of things they would like to achieve next year. However, these are short term. 100 life goals set you more ambitious goals. Some of them will be short-term, while others may take your whole life to complete. Some tasks you can start and do right away, some will take more time.

100 life goals should be so exciting for you personally that you will have a hard time falling asleep at night! If you're not excited about your goals, then you won't be striving for them at a high enough level.

I will give an example of 100 life goals (both basic and "exotic"), but I highly recommend making your own list. So, be patient...

___________________________________________________

The question may arise: why 100 goals in life - so many? Setting so many goals can really test your motivation and talents in many areas and walks of life. Life is so multifaceted, and goals should demonstrate your discipline and responsible attitude towards it.

You are the one who takes control of your life. And goals are like GPS in life. They give direction and help you choose where to go in this life. Your vision of an ideal future can become a reality.

When you set 100 life goals and then evaluate your accomplishments, you can see what you've done and what you're really capable of. The very process of achieving goals will give you confidence and faith in yourself. After you have achieved one goal, you will try to achieve other goals, possibly higher ones.

You will see the great progress you have made when you look back after a while. Goals are the starting point for success. Just start...

A good start, as you know, is half the success!

So, down the course there will be a list born in torment and suffering) This list is my first-born, my first such large-scale list of plans and goals in my life.

To be honest, I don't think I made it right. I read that to make a list, you need to take the time to sit down and listen to yourself, and in the process of this ritual, answers to the questions "what do I really want?" and "What do I really want to do?" Of course, things went the other way.)

I compiled it because I set myself the goal of "come up with a list of goals" (). Of course, I want almost everything from this list (well, except for the water park))), but how much more I want, ooh, you would know! And how many things I want, about which I myself don’t know yet ... And something was written there, so to speak, for extras. In general, I think that this list is far from final and over time it will change: items may be added, or may be replaced by others - for example, I will not go to Italy, but to Spain and this will be considered legal)

Let's move on to the second part - there are many goals, and time, as is often the case, is limited. Initially, the idea was this: to implement all this within a year, i.e. until 07/15/2015, with the exception of the list of improbability (see the last section), but you need to face the truth - I will strive very hard, of course, but it’s not a fact that I will master it all morally, physically and financially in such a short period of time. Of course, I could create a list of plans not for a year, but in general, but I believe that one of the conditions for translating a goal into reality is the presence of a time frame, albeit approximate. On this occasion, I decided this - everything that does not submit to me in a year will be transferred to the next list.

Actually, here he is, the hero of the occasion:

  • Now about the problems - to be honest, I have not yet decided how it would be more convenient to outline my achievements in this regard. Throwing it all away is not an option. Conducting all the goals at once separately is also not an option, it seems to me that in this case, the description of the process will take more time than the process itself.

So far I've decided to do this:

    • select one global and create a separate goal for it;
    • highlight several smaller goals (1-2-3) and regularly write a report on your achievements on them in this goal, say, once a week;
    • once a month write a report on the entire list of goals.

those. there will be no stages for all items on the list yet, I will add stages gradually.

Let's start on that positive note.)

Good day, dear readers of my blog! We discussed the need for goal setting many times, learned to do it correctly and point by point, adhering to the plan and classification. And today, for example and motivation, I have prepared a list of 100 goals in a person’s life, some of the points of which you may find useful and inspiring. After all, if you remember the article "" - such an irresponsible and unconscious way of life can lead to depression. And so, when there is a plan for many years, there is no time to even get sick.

    Fundamental rules

For a successful , harmonious development and advancement, and it is for this that a person sets a goal, I have identified 5 main areas, ignoring which will not provide a sense of fullness and quality of life. The main rule is not to keep this list in your head, you must definitely put it on paper. This will give responsibility to the process, and will also remind you of some things that you can completely forget, trying to fulfill the most urgent dreams for this period.

The list can be hung in a room or office so that it is in front of your eyes, or kept from prying eyes if there is information that you do not want to share with others. I wrote out other people's goals, they can serve as examples for you, because everyone has different interests and needs. Just try on each item for yourself and listen to whether it fits or not.

Let me remind you that I write about my goals.

Life is very multifaceted, so add your areas, your options, and to speed up the process of fulfilling your desire, I recommend reading the article. Don't forget to subscribe to blog updates.

As far as possible, I write reports on the achievement of my goals, maybe you will be interested or you just decide to support me with a comment on the article. to my articles about moving towards goals. Good luck and fulfill your dreams!

Christmas trees are decorated, champagne is in glasses, herring is under a fur coat: everyone is looking forward to 2018. Are you sure you haven't forgotten anything? For example, write the main goals for the year. With a clear plan, the future does not seem so vague, and dreams look more real. In the article we tell you how to plan the coming year with SMART goals and not be disappointed with the result.

How NOT to set goals for the year

I decided to start 2017 with a bang. I wanted a new life, work, more money, travel, beauty and sit on the transverse twine. Made a plan for the year. She identified 4 main areas for development:

    • income;
    • travels;
    • health;
    • foreign language.

I did everything according to my mind: I deciphered each goal and divided it into stages. The plan turned out to be detailed and realistic - I believed in myself and that I would have time to fulfill my plan.

The plan stretched over 4 notebook pages

A year has passed, it's time to take stock. And then a continuous fail began: not a single goal was achieved, only some stages were completed, but absolutely not on time! I confess that in a year I looked into the plan only 2 times, and at the end of the year I didn’t want to look at all. Why, if I already know that I didn’t have time to do anything?

But the eyes are afraid, but the hands are doing: I opened the notebook, reread my unsuccessful to-do list, thought it over and understood what was the matter.

Why nothing worked out for me: analysis of errors and tips

    1. Too many goals

There are 4 of them in total, but the decoding of each took 7-10 points. For example: “body improvement” included a gym, yoga, Pilates, contrast showers, jogging in the morning and 2 online courses on proper nutrition. It is not right. On this account useful advice Billionaire Warren Buffett has:

Warren Buffett, one of the richest people world, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Berkshire Hathaway Holding:
    - Make a list of 25 goals you want to achieve in the next few years or in your lifetime. Anything that didn't make the top 5 is now taboo. You must avoid the rest of the targets until you complete the first five.

    2. Did not check and correct the plan

The plan is not reinforced concrete. You can adjust your creative and professional goals for the year in accordance with changes in life. You need to be flexible.

    3. Not doing microtasks every day

It is better to take 365 small steps than one big, but with great difficulty (and never). You need to work on the goal a little every day: choose the color of the upholstery of the chairs, call the editor, pull yourself up 20 times, etc.

    4. Didn't create a thematic environment around you

The appropriate environment helps to achieve the goal faster: you can sign up for training courses on the topic, engage in discussions with experts on social networks, read specialized books. Then there is a movement around: promising acquaintances, tempting offers appear, the amount of knowledge and motivation grows.

    5. Didn't visualize goals

There is little text, even if it is written in your favorite notebook. Visualization helps to set the mind and activate the subconscious: schemes, calendars, photographs of the desired (new office, bank account, country). There are special services for planning and visualization, for example: Smart Progress.

The work on the bugs has been done, and now it's time to take on a new list. And I will do it according to the SMART system.

How to set goals for the year according to the SMART system

The SMART system was originally used by managers to set tasks for employees, but now it is used by everyone in general, including for the organization Everyday life.

We will analyze in more detail how to set goals for the year using SMART technology, and give examples of setting goals and objectives for SMART.

    Specific - specific

First, the goal must be clear and concrete result. Determine exactly what you want to achieve so that the task does not turn into the usual “want”. An abstract goal leads to abstract results.

    Measurable - measurable

Second: it is easier to achieve your goals when there are specific numbers or other criteria you aspire to. Otherwise, when summing up, you will not even be able to give an exact answer: the task is completed or not.

    Achievable - achievable

Third, the goal must be real otherwise how will you achieve it? Consider all the difficulties, deadlines and your opportunities. If you set too ambitious a goal that you cannot afford, by the end of the year you risk disappointing yourself and all this planning.

    Relevant - significant

In management, this smart criterion means the value of the goal for the company, and in everyday life it determines why you set this task for yourself. Before writing a goal, consider: why are you looking for it? What will it give you in the end?

Time bound - with a deadline

Fifth, do not set a deadline - you will get stuck in the wilds of procrastination. You will delay what you have planned to the last. Certain date plays the role of a magic pendel: the closer the cherished deadline, the higher the productivity. Just do not do everything at the last moment, it is better to do a little bit every day.

SMART Goal Example: Smart Goal Setting

Now that I have a SMART system in place, one of my goals will look like this:

Goal: July 2018 - I have been resting on Lake Baikal for 2 weeks as a savage and making a detailed photo report for the blog.

    1. February 2018 - buy a map of Russia, draw up a detailed travel itinerary and calculate the cost of travel (transport + accommodation + food + equipment).
    2. March 2018 - choose suitable places for parking, read related blogs, watch videos and talk to travelers on forums.
    3. April-May 2018 - make a detailed list of travel equipment and buy everything. Collect half of the backpack, buy long-term storage products and medicines.
    4. June 2018 - buy tickets for the Moscow-Irkutsk train and fully pack your backpack.
    5. July 2018 - complete all work projects, notify customers about the vacation. The first blog post is from the train. The journey begins!

If not all goals and objectives for 2018 are completed, then do not scold or criticize yourself. Calmly analyze everything, find out what is the reason and draw conclusions. In the meantime, there is still time before the New Year, sum up the results for 2017, and then sit back in your chair and visualize yourself in the coming year.

    Hello friends!

Why make a list of 100 goals?

    1. Usually, each of us has many different desires, some of them are smaller, while others, on the contrary, are large-scale and large. And we constantly keep all these desires in our head. Having made a list of our goals, we can unload our head.
    2. Having your list of goals, you can see what you should be working on during the year.
    3. You will be able to prioritize and choose from the entire list of goals those that should be worked on first.
    4. Through your list of goals, you are constantly evolving. After all, you don’t make it easy like that, but you make a promise to yourself that you will implement at least half of them next year. But at least that's how I do it.
    5. You will realize that it turns out that you do not need much to be completely happy and most of your goals are not so difficult to achieve.
    6. By writing out your goals, you endow them with additional power. I don’t know why, but I noticed that the goals that are written down on paper are realized faster and easier.

I think these reasons are enough to take a notebook, notebook or a regular sheet of paper and start compiling a list of your goals for the year.

    How to write goals?

    1. Break down all goals into specific categories:

    • business or work. Here I write goals related only to my business, for example, promote a certain site to 5,000 visitors per day, gain 10,000 subscribers, and so on.
    • Money. Goals related only to money are recorded in this category, for example, to earn $1,000 on such and such a project, to have such and such a total income, to save $300 per month in a bank account, etc.
    • Personal life, relationships. In this category, you write down goals related only to your personal life, such as getting married or getting married, having a baby, having a romantic evening for your loved one every month, and so on.
    • beauty. Goals are written here to improve your appearance e.g. visit twice a week gym and make yourself a sporty fit figure, visit a beautician once a month, seek the services of a stylist and update your wardrobe, and so on.
    • Health. There may be the following goals: do exercises for the eyes every day and improve vision to one, eat right, treat your teeth, and so on.
    • Travel and interesting places. Here, write down which countries you want to visit next year and which places to visit, for example, fly to Bali, visit Disneyland in Paris, the aquarium in Bangkok, and more.
    • Vivid emotions, new experience. In this category, you write down something new that you would like to try that will give you vivid emotions, for example, diving, skydiving, flying in a balloon, swimming with dolphins, trying Exotic fruits etc.
    • Skills. Here you write down what you want to teach next year, for example, understand spoken English, edit videos, cook food, get a driver's license, set up a Yandex direct advertising company, and more.
    • Things. In this category, you write down everything that you want to buy yourself, for example, a camera, a car, an apartment, a fur coat, a bag, and so on.
    • environment, dating. Here you write down what kind of people you want to communicate with, who to meet, for example, surround yourself with people who have their own business, meet a specific person, and so on.
    • Charity. Here you write down what you want to do for other people, for example, donate a certain amount of money to the church every month, give away your toys orphanage, teach sister to skate and so on.

I believe that by dividing the list of goals into categories, you will develop more harmoniously and it is much easier to create 100 goals.

    2. Write specific goals. If you set a goal: "Increase income", then this is an incomprehensible goal. It is important to be specific. For example, earn $ 2,000 in six months or double your income in a year. Everything should be measurable so that at the end of the year you can understand whether you have achieved this goal or not.

    3. The goal must be achievable. That is, you understand that you can achieve it within a year, but you don’t need to belittle your goals either. The goal should be stressful, you may not yet understand how to achieve it, but it should not be some sky-high. For example, if you earn $1,000 a month, then you don't need to set goals: buy an island in the Indian Ocean, a plane, or a villa in Hawaii.

    4. The goal must be positive. That is, to be without the “not” particle. There is no need to set goals such as not eating at night, not being late for work, and others. It is better to replace them with such as observe correct mode food, be punctual.

    5. This is an optional item. But, for example, I always write down my goals in the present tense. Not “Make $3,000 in six months,” but “I’m making $3,000 in six months,” not “Fly to Singapore in December 2017,” but “I’m flying to Singapore in December 2017.” I like it that way.

    My experience

It always seemed to me that writing 100 goals is easy. And thanks to the fact that I broke down the goals into categories, I wrote 80 goals pretty quickly. And after that, my goals ended. The last 20 goals were difficult for me. I went through all the categories again, and mostly the last goals - these were different purchases: to buy a dress, a bag, shoes, and so on.

    What to do next?

Of course, it’s not enough to just write goals and put your list on a shelf. It is important to purposefully help your goals to be realized. I recommend picking your most important goals from your list and starting working on them. I understand that there are goals that may seem quite difficult to you, which you do not yet know how to implement, where to start and how to approach them. In this case, I can advise you to use visualization, to imagine that your goal has already been realized. I myself often start with this, and then gradually the universe begins to throw up opportunities, necessary people and knowledge. I don't know how it works, but I know exactly what works, no matter who tells me what. How I use visualization I told in a separate article.
