Mass Effect: Andromeda Is an independent offshoot in the Mass Effect universe that takes place long before the end of the famous trilogy, but nevertheless, the game goes back a little to its roots. The study of the planet on the MAKO all-terrain vehicle appeared again, scanning the territory in search of minerals for their further use in pumping, and more. The previous parts of the series, according to the players, behaved quite stable in terms of the absence of lags, crashes and freezes, and did not cause significant inconvenience to gamers.

This article summarizes the main issues players face when starting or completing Mass Effect: Andromeda.

Advises you to pay attention to the system requirements for the new game in the Mass Effect franchise. The game uses the engine Frostbite engine 3, on which such games as are also developed: Battlefield 1, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Star Wars: Battlefront, therefore, the system requirements for Mass Effect: Andromeda appropriate.

DirectX error when launching Mass Effect: Andromeda

This problem is solved in the last way in the previous problem (disabling the Origin in-game overlay)

Mass Effect: Andromeda character does not move

If your character, for whom you are playing (Ryder), does not react in any way to your control and does not move, then try:

  • Jump!
  • Open / Close Research Scanner
  • Try switching between Explore and Combat modes

If it doesn't help - save and restart the game

Mass Effect: Andromeda character stuck in textures and can't get out

If this happens, use fast travel to get Ryder out of the trap.

How to increase the FPS (frame rate) in Mass Effect: Andromeda

It should be said here that the problem can arise due to hundreds of different reasons. First of all, your PC may not be suitable for system requirements. I advise you to check if your computer meets the minimum salaries.
Further banal, but important advice about updating video card drivers. Many people still forget to do this.
And finally included vertical synccan also lead to a drop in frames per second and cause discomfort when playing.

Mass Effect: Andromeda won't launch, but hangs in processes

Perhaps you are running a firewall or antivirus that blocks the executable file "ActivationUI.exe".This file must be run when starting the game for the first time. Try temporarily disabling your firewall or antivirus, or adding the above file to exclusions. By default, the file is located in the directory "C: \\ Program Files (x86) \\ Origin Games \\ Mass Effect andromeda\\ core \\ ActivationUI.exe "

Multiplayer won't connect

Remember that the connection in the new Mass Effect is like peer-to-peer. That is, multiplayer sessions are hosted on the players' computers (hosts), so connecting to your lobby host is very important. If you are experiencing connection problems or seeing errors 10044, 5800, 5801, 5802, 5803, 9001 try the following standard fix methods:

  • Reboot your router
  • If you are playing on a console, make sure you have an active subscription Playstation plus or Xbox Live Gold
  • Make sure you have it open NAT
  • If you have enabled on your computer VPN or proxy, disable them.

If the problem is still not resolved, then check your ports on the router. The following ports must be open:

  • TCP: 443, 17503, 17504, 10000-19999, 42210, 42130, 42230.
  • UDP: 3659, 10000-19999.

Disgusting facial animation in Mass Effect: Andromeda

If it seemed to you that in this part of Mass Effect the facial animation lost ground to such an extent that now the log seems much more expressive in the presentation of emotions, then you are not mistaken. This problem, unfortunately, cannot be fixed, except that the thematic DLC will be released only six months later, but for now, it remains to look at emotionless faces with wide-open eyes looking deep into the abyss. You can read more about why Mass Effect: Andromeda has such unpleasant animations in.

If you have not found your problem, then a big request to wait a bit. The guide will be updated as it appears new information about fixing bugs in Mass Effect: Andromeda

  1. The game won't start:
  • Make sure your system meets at least the minimum game requirements;
  • If you start the game, but nothing happens, then check the list of processes in Task manager... If the game is present in the processes, then most likely it blocks firewall or antivirus... Add the application to the exception ActivationUI.exelocated on the way C: \\ Program Files (x86) \\ Origin Games \\ Mass Effect Andromeda \\ Core \\.

2. Startup error referencing DirectX:

  • Update first DirectX;
  • Also update the drivers for the video card, the minimum version of the required drivers for NVidia: 378.78and on AMD: 17.3.2;
  • Install or update packages VC ++ 64- 32-bit versions, put both.

3. Black screen:

  • First, check the system requirements. If the central processor is not powerful enough or there is not enough RAM, the game may freeze at startup and there will be a black screen, or the game just starts very slowly and you should wait;
  • If your system has enough capacity, it is worth making sure that they are all available for download. Click on WIN + R, in the window that opens, enter msconfig, go to section downloads and click on the button extra options and if there are check marks in the items number of processors and maximum memory uncheck the boxes and save the changes;
  • Reinstall the program Corsair Utility Engine;
  • It is also worth trying to switch the game to windowed mode and back using the keyboard shortcut Alt + Enter.

4. Multiplayer problem:

  • Disable proxy and connection VPN.

5. The game lagged:

  • Apart from an internal error in the code in the game, which will be solved by patches, there are three reasons for the game to freeze
  • The central processor is too busy, or your processor is weak, or it is loaded with something else and it is worth checking the list of processes in the Task Manager;
  • RAM memory is full, the same as with the processor, or there is not enough volume, or check what is full;
  • The video card does not cope, it is worth lowering the graphics quality.

BioWare's development team went to great lengths to fix all the bugs in their Mass Effect product, but alas, not everything remained perfect. Unfortunately, the optimized version also throws a lot of errors, no matter how hard the developers try.

In the event that you have bugs during the game, Mass Effect crashes or does not start, our guide will tell you what to do in most of the known cases.

Almost all the errors that users have have been discovered long ago - everything has been done so that everyone can fix them on their own. Also, manufacturers periodically release patches in which they fix this or that common error. Consider also what you need to be confident user PC to fix errors with your own hands. Otherwise, if you have a bad idea of \u200b\u200bwhat you are doing, it is better to invite a person who will understand at least something in setting up a PC.

Mass Effect: Andromeda has a lot of bugs

Mass Effect won't launch or install

Mass Effect Error Number One: Direct X Install Critical Error Fix

This error occurs in some parts of the game series, for example, in the third. In the event that you install Mass Effect using Origin, you run the risk of being unable to install DirectX. As a result, a message will be displayed stating that a Direct X Internal Critical Error has occurred. In order to solve it, you should enter the C drive, then into Program Files (x86). There, select the Origin Games folder, then in Mass Effect 3 - __Installer. In this folder, select directx, there look for redist, in which you should delete: DSETUP.dll, dsetup32.dll, DXSETUP.exe. The error is then removed.

The second error also occurs while playing the third part of Mass Effect

Its name is VC ++ Runtime Distributable Package Not Installed Error. To resolve it, you must first download latest version Microsoft C ++, for this use the installation directory in Mass Effect 3. You can go to the official Microsoft website, and there you will already download Microsoft C ++ 2010 x64.

You can uninstall Microsoft Visual C ++ 2010 on your PC, as well as any other Microsoft programs that are available. After that, enter the C drive, find the Program Files (x86) folder. There, select the Origin Games folder, then in Mass Effect 3 -__ Installer. After that go to vc path, after vc2008sp1 and to redist. Delete vcredist there. After that, on the C drive, in the same folder where you are, drop the Microsoft C ++ pack. After that, the problem with Mass Effect not starting shouldn't occur.

One of frequent problems is that in Mass Effect, a setup window appears, in which the setup lasts indefinitely. To solve this problem, you should go to regeditor, then follow the path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, then SOFTWARE, Wow 6432Node, EA Games and finally Mass Effect. Open this folder and go to GDFBinary. There, add Install Dir to the value. After that, copy this text and add it to the path C: \\ Program Files \\ Origin Games \\ Mass Effect (the installation path may differ). As a result, you will get the following: ab (Default) REG_SZ (not installed); ab GDFBinary REG_SZ C: \\ Program Files \\ Origin Games \\ Mass Effect \\ GDFBinary_en_US.dll; ab Install Dir REG_SZ C: \\ Program Files \\ Origin Games \\ Mass Effect. Finally, restart your computer.

If Mass Effect does not start and the error Mass Effect 3: Failed to Initialize The Physics System pops up, this means that there are problems with physics in the game. Fam should clean the physics drivers and then update them. If everything reappears, then you should copy PhysXCore.dll and paste into \\ Mass Effect 3 \\ Binaries \\ Win32 \\.

If Mass Effect lags, there is a way to check its performance. In the event that it is low, you need to increase it - this often happens when using a laptop for games. You should open the nvidia control panel, then go to "3d settings" and then "manage 3d settings". After that, go to the program settings, find the mass effect, and then change it to high performance nvidia processor.

If during the loading process Mass Effect it is interrupted, the error is displayed AWC.Dll Exe Loader, then you should contact the moderator Bioware. This error often appears in the second and third parts of the game.

Mass Effect crashes

Sometimes the game can crash to the desktop. It is clear that you want to eliminate this error, which interferes with the normal passage. To do this, you need to go to the toolbar, where you click on quality, and then select Performance.

If, among other things, you also have a low frame rate and the picture freezes, then you should pay attention to the video card driver. After all, Mass Effect often slows down precisely because you need to update the driver. In order to do this, you need to enter the Nvidia settings, then enter the 3D management, select Program Settings, and then go to the "Add" line. In parallel, enter the game folder, and then along the path "Mass Effect \\ Binaries \\ Win32" and select "MassEffect.exe". After that select the "preferred graphics processor for this computer" column and then apply the "high performance NVIDIA processor"

Then reboot

If the Origin mode in Mass Effect does not start, then you need to check if the Internet is working. You can also turn off your antivirus software.

If Mass Effect crashes during startup, turn off Origin. If a Black Screen appears in the process, you can lower the resolution level, update the driver, activate the compatibility mode with the software, or use the launch via exe-file or config.exe.

If Mass Effect does not load, you can also try using the Task Manager to select MassEffect and then select Set Affinity. Then change the kernels to two.

It also happens when Mass Effect crashes and loads very slowly, then you need to remove the marker from the Enable Origin In-game item in the settings in the game.

All errors in the game can be fixed by yourself

Other errors

  • Sometimes there is a little problem with the fact that your hero seems to get stuck. To do this, you should restart the game by entering the next time through the previously saved option.
  • If you have in multiplayer mode mass games Effect does not turn on voice chat, you should double-check the microphone connection using the Tab button or reinstall the toy on your PC. Also, if your microphone icon is blinking in red, you should update the driver. Also, as an option, you can reboot the PC.
  • But if the use of hot keys does not work in multiplayer mode, then you should re-enter the Mass effect, and then select another hero in the lobby.
  • But if Mass Effect lags and there are problems in using the chat, then you should restart your PC.
  • In the course of the game, errors in textures may occur. Then you should update your driver.
  • If you have disconnects in the process, then you should look for less complicated toys.
  • If you get an error while searching for friends in multiplayer mode, then it is not your fault - the developers have not completed the search.
  • If during the game the hero stops moving, then you can try to jump and go for cover.

We hope our tips helped to fix all the problems, and now Error Mass Effect will not occur.

For a long five years, fans of the Mass Effect series have been waiting for the release of the next part, and now, it finally happened - the release of Mass Effect: Andromeda took place, which sends players to explore a new galaxy. However, not without a fly in the ointment in this huge barrel of honey. The fact is that this gameLike many other modern blockbusters, it suffers from many technical errors, with which we will help you figure it out in this small guide.

Although, before blaming BioWare for all human sins, we advise you to take a good look at the characteristics of your computer and compare them with minimal "systems". It is possible that your game is going badly due to the fact that you are trying to play it on a weak machine. The minimum system requirements are as follows:

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-3570 or AMD FX-6350
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • Graphics Accelerator: Radeon HD 7850 or GeForce GTX 660
  • Hard disk space: 55 gigabytes

The computer corresponds to the "minimum", but "Andromeda" still lags, freezes, crashes, does not start, freezes or simply slows down? In this case, you should look for other causes of these problems. Perhaps you have outdated drivers for accessories installed. First of all, we advise you to check the "firewood" for a video card, because card manufacturers often release the following driver versions right before the release of a new large-budget toy. You can download the driver for Nvidia, and for Radeon -.

Problems can also arise due to the lack of a number of important programs that often come bundled with the game. It is DirectX, Microsoft Visual C ++ and Microsoft .NET Framework (may be needed in different versions).

Mass Effect: Andromeda not starting

You downloaded and installed the game, but it still does not want to start, and when you click on the "executable", no errors pop up? Most likely, there was some problem during the installation. In this case, we recommend checking the integrity of the cache in the Origin program using the appropriate option. A complete reinstallation of Andromeda can also help - do not forget to disable the antivirus before that, as it can take some game files for a virus and block them.

The game directory should not contain Cyrillic letters - only Latin. Therefore, in which case it is necessary to rename the folders. Such letters can also negatively affect the save system.

How to get rid of the soap in Mass Effect: Andromeda

If you got a blurry picture in the game, and you want to turn off such an option as Motion Blur, then we advise you to do the following:

  1. Go to the folder with the installed game. By default, it will be located here: C: Program Files (x86) Origin GamesMass Effect Andromeda.
  2. While in the folder, right-click and select the "create a new text document" option.
  3. Now rename the created document to "user.cfg" (without quotes, replace .txt with .cfg to turn it into a config file).
  4. Open this document with Notepad or any other similar program, and then add the line to it: "WorldRender.MotionblurEnable 0".
  5. Save and exit. That's it, from now on the picture will cease to be blurry.

Lags, freezes, freezes, low fps and brakes in Mass Effect: Andromeda

The new part of Mass Effect is graphically significantly ahead of Mass Effect 3, but this has led to an increase in system requirements. In addition, a considerable number of players complain about constant lags and freezes. If you are faced with the same problem, then we advise you to optimize the graphic settings, reducing them to the desired parameters. You should definitely lower the resolution scaling, ambient occlusion and texture quality. These parameters have the greatest impact on performance.

You should also wait for solutions from developers or players. They will probably come up with other ways to increase the fps in the game. Do not forget to disable third-party applications when starting the game, as they can "eat" precious resources.

So the decision came in time from the players. In general, look carefully at our previous paragraph with the removal of Motion Blur, and then add the created text document the following lines to increase your fps in the game:

The graphics will not be significantly affected, but the frame rate will need to increase slightly. If you don't give a damn about the picture at all and you urgently need additional fps, then you can add a few more parameters to the above file:

  • RenderDevice.ForceRenderAheadLimit 0
  • RenderDevice.TripleBufferingEnable 0
  • RenderDevice.VsyncEnable 0
  • PostProcess.DynamicAOEnable 0
  • WorldRender.MotionblurEnable 0
  • WorldRender.MotionblurForceOn 0
  • WorldRender.MotionblurFixedShutterTime 0
  • WorldRender.MotionblurMax 0
  • WorldRender.MotionblurQuality 0
  • WorldRender.MotionblurMaxSampleCount 0
  • WorldRender.SpotLightShadowmapEnable 0
  • WorldRender.SpotLightShadowmapResolution 256
  • WorldRender.TransparencyShadowmapsEnable 0
  • WorldRender.LightTileCsPathEnable 0

Competent setting of graphic options

In the screenshot below, you can take a look at the relationship between the main graphical options of Mass Effect: Andromeda and its performance.

You've probably noticed that the computer is most heavily loaded with options such as shadows, anti-aliasing and lighting. If you lower them to an acceptable level, then most likely you will be able to leave the quality of effects and textures at high or even maximum level... Plus, you don't have to reduce the amount of vegetation displayed on the screen.

In the settings, you will stumble upon such an option as "Resolution scaling", with which it can significantly improve the optimization of the game. The fact is that it affects almost the entire picture as a whole, without affecting only the menu and interface. At “medium” scaling, Andromeda's resolution will drop to 900p - the quality of textures, shadows and other elements will be reduced, but static details will be rendered at your standard resolution, so fonts will remain as readable as before.

Optimal settings for Hi-End systems (Intel Core i7, GeForce GTX 1070 and above):

  • The Shadows should be set to HBAO High.
  • It is recommended to lower the "Effects" option to the "high" value.
  • You can turn all other settings to the maximum.

Optimal settings for mid-range gaming PCs (Intel Core i5, GeForce GTX 960):

  • Reduce Anti-Aliasing to Temporal AA.
  • The Shadows parameter should be set to SSAO, medium.
  • It is recommended to lower the "Effects" option to the "medium" value.
  • Activate chromatic aberration.
  • It is recommended to lower the "Illumination" option to the "average" value.
  • It is recommended to lower the "Vegetation" option to the "high" value.
  • It is recommended to lower the "Post-processing" option to the "low" value.
  • It is recommended to lower the “Shaders” option to the “low” value.
  • It is recommended to lower the "Landscape" option to the "low" value.
  • It is recommended to lower the "Texture filtering" option to the "average" value.
  • It is recommended to lower the "Textures" option to the "high" value.

Optimal settings for weak gaming PCs (Intel Core i3, GeForce GTX 750):

  • Enable resolution scaling.
  • Set the Shadows option to its minimum value.
  • Lighting should be lowered to a minimum.
  • Activate or deactivate vertical sync.
  • The rest of the settings can be left at low or medium values.

Mass Effect: Andromeda crashes without error

If you are comfortable playing Mass Effect: Andromeda, but it suddenly crashed to the desktop without an error window appearing, then this may be due to overheating of your equipment. The fact is that when the video card or processor reaches critical values temperature, the system automatically closes all applications, and in some cases even reboots. Overheating can occur for several reasons: insufficient power of components, breakdown of the cooling system, presence of a malfunction in the power supply, drying out of thermal paste, accumulation of dust in the case, and so on. Therefore, you will need to do a comprehensive scan of your computer.

If your system is in perfect order or crashes are observed only in Andromeda, then most likely the game is either incorrectly installed, or you do not have the required update or driver. However, a puncture from the developers cannot be ruled out, so if nothing helped you, then you just have to wait for the official patch to be released.

Black of black screen in the Mass Effect: Andromeda

If, when starting the game or during gameplay If you have a black screen, then most likely the problem lies in the graphics accelerator. It can either not "pull" Andromeda, or overheat. In addition, a black screen sometimes appears when there are outdated drivers.

There are several other ways to solve this problem:

  • If you are using the Corsair Utility Engine, then you will have to uninstall it. This is the only way to get rid of the black screen.
  • Install the latest drivers for your graphics card (check the "clean install" checkbox when booting Nvidia).
  • Disable your antivirus or add the game to the exceptions list.
  • Disable the Origin overlay (it can be found in the client settings).
  • Make sure the game is fully downloaded and updated. Do not try to play when the client reports that the project is playable - wait for the complete installation.

Players were able to find another method to get rid of the black screen in Mass Effect: Andromeda:

  1. Navigate to C: Users usernameDocumentsBioWareMass Effect AndromedaSave and open ProfOps_Profile.
  2. Scroll down until you see the line GstRender.FullscreenMode. There should be a number "1" next to it. Change it to the number "0" and then save.
  3. Start the game, it should be in windowed mode. Go to settings, then video options and change the display mode to windowed without borders. The problem is solved!

It gives a lot of reasons for complaints: faces are poorly animated in it, and optimization on a PC is bad, and bugs are often tormented. But BioWare promises to fix most of these shortcomings soon. In the meantime, we are waiting - here is a list of what it is quite possible to cope with independently.

Optimization of the PC version

Andromeda barely achieves 60 frames per second at high and ultra settings, even in the recommended configurations, most players with video cards of the GTX 1060 level are forced to be content with a frame rate of no higher than 55 fps. The difference is small, but still little pleasant.

Fortunately, this is solved more fine tuning... You can talk about this in more detail, but, in short, lower the quality of the shadows, and the performance will noticeably improve.

General measures

This may seem obvious to some, but check the freshness of your video card drivers - some of the problems with loading, and performance can arise precisely from outdated software.

Also, make sure in the settings of the game itself that it is running in full screen mode - windowed and frameless windowed modes consume more resources of your PC.

And one more trivial, but not outdated advice. Open up system unit and see if there is much dust in it. You can take a ruler and measure the layer thickness - if there are more than two millimeters, then this can no longer be attributed to the statistical error. Dust greatly affects the heating of components, and this, in turn, affects their performance and life.

Disconnect the computer from the electrical network and open the windows wider - it is better not to inhale the dust. And do not go to the accessories with a wet rag - we remove large shreds with a vacuum cleaner (preferably with a brush attachment so as not to damage anything), then blow it with a hairdryer (preferably by the window and always with cold air), and then we go through with an alcohol napkin. If the computer is more than two years old, it is better to check if the thermal paste of the processor is dry, but if in doubt, it is better to entrust it to a professional or at least call a friend.

Known resolvable bugs

Black screen on startup or when minimizing window- the problem can be caused by various service programs like the Corsair Utility Engine. Delete them and restart the game.

The process is activated, but the game itself does not start - here, most likely, antivirus or firewall is to blame. Find this ActivationUI.exe file in the folder with the game installed (standard C: Program Files (x86) Origin GamesMass Effect AndromedacoreActivationUI.exe) and add it to the list of exclusions of your security system.

When activating the mode HDR picture looks incorrect - HDR requires a compatible monitor or TV. If everything matches, just reload the game. Sometimes at radeon video cards there are problems with displaying colors in the extended range, try to go into the settings of the video card and check the HDR section.

Sounds of the environment are poorly heard- change the sound output mode in the audio settings, it is possible that the one you have installed does not correspond to the real speaker configuration.

The game freezes on the loading screen - this can happen at any time, not only when starting or loading a save. Close the program and go to Origin settings. There, find a way to disable cloud saves, and try running a game restore - something might go wrong during installation.

The sound disappears - restart the game.

The rider is stuck in the texture or has failed- get / remove the weapon, activate the scanner, jump. If it doesn't work, you can always use fast travel or just save and load the game in the same place - the character will be free.

Scripts required for missions do not work - leave the location and return, the animation should be activated.

Problems playing online- restart the router, turn off VPN, if any. In addition, the game uses a peer 2 peer connection in multiplayer. so if your "host" is on the other side of the planet (although matchmaking is usually carried out in one region), lag due to high ping cannot be avoided.

Also, check the following ports in your computer's network connection settings:

  • TCP: 443, 17503, 17504, 10000-19999, 42210, 42130, 42230
  • UDP: 3659, 10000-19999

Bugs that will be fixed soon

BioWare has promised to release a patch soon that should fix several common bugs. Here is a list of issues that will definitely be fixed in the update:

  • Video cards in Crossfire give almost no power increase
  • PC version does not support Dolby Vision
  • The image stretches unnaturally on startup on 4: 3 screens
  • In the Storm Canyons location, fps drops dramatically
  • partners teleport uncontrollably or get stuck in one place
  • Objects in space behave incorrectly and shake
  • Autosave is too rare
  • Main mission scripts don't work
  • If skipping skips frequently, the Rider may get stuck in the air.
  • Running zizagi can cause the rider to get out of control and start a loop of random animations.
  • Fading sound
  • If you create a new character immediately after exiting the menu from an existing walkthrough, some tasks and elements of the Journal may be carried over.

The update will be released in the coming days.
