Then we proceed to the assembly of the door frame, which usually has to be adjusted to the desired size of the leaf. To do this, we cut the vertical bars from above and the upper horizontal bar on both sides, and strictly at an angle of 45 degrees (you will need a miter saw). It must be remembered that the width of the box must be at least 6 mm more than the width of the leaf, so that the door does not rub against the jamb.

Now we assemble the box in the form of the letter “P”, fasten the joints at the top with self-tapping screws (at an angle or straight), it is better to have 3 self-tapping screws on each side. If there is a threshold at the bottom, then we cut the bars straight and remember that the gap between the bottom of the canvas and the threshold should be 8-10 mm. Note that it is more convenient to assemble the box on the floor or other hard surface.
We lay the door leaf in the box, be sure to leave a gap of about 3 mm around the entire perimeter. You can, for example, lay strips of cardboard from the packaging between the canvas and the box. If you have a construction of an absolutely regular rectangular shape, then you can work further.
