Wood fiction: concept, technology and application features. Oil-wax for wood: Benefits, the right choice and technology of application than to breed wood for wood processing

German Technician Winfried Muller tested products of 13 largest European manufacturers of oils and waxes for wood. We present the abbreviated version of the article published on the website www.wikidorf.de.

Introduction

The start of testing turned out to be simple: most of the products showed itself almost the same, since the main component was the same natural oil - linen. However, the farther, the more noticeable differences were noticeable.

The confusion arose as soon as it came about the composition: some products resembled paint or azure. The solid oil of one manufacturer was similar to the azure from another manufacturer and oil with wax from the third. If you approach strictly, different compositions would have to call differently - but we need to know only what can be expected from the product, so unnecessary detailing is not required.

Types of coatings

Typically, wood is protected in two ways:

 • impregnate oil - then the fibers will not be able to absorb water and dirt;
 • covered with a protective layer (varnish, wax or paint).

But now there are many hybrid options on the market - so it is necessary to look, absorbs the wood coating or it forms a protective layer on it. In the second case, we need to know how reliable will protect.

When applied wax, the protective layer is soft, you can even scratch the nail. Therefore, the wax is most in demand as fibers of wood fibers to protect against moisture.

A thin protective layer forms oil, which contains wax (especially solid), resins and dried substances.

Solvent

In recent years, manufacturers have increasingly offer water based products. Probably this trend will continue, since such compositions less pollute the environment. But water-based coatings have disadvantages.

 • distributed unevenly;
 • long is not stored;
 • when applied quickly dry, which increases their consumption.

In this regard, I prefer solvent-based products, which I do not have allergies or natural oil. The latter requires more time for processing, but also more durable than varnish or synthetic paint. This should be borne in mind - although you should not forget: the durability depends largely and on the ability of wood to absorb composition.

Another aspect: Reviews of various formulations can only be useful if they are not superficial. Unfortunately, often in reviews are limited only to several means, while for a full comparison it is necessary to consider all the well-known brands that are widely available on sale.

Overview of oils and waxes

Products Kreidezeit.

Since 1987, the company produces environmentally friendly products from natural renewable raw materials. Formulations are based on traditional recipes adapted to today's requirements.

There are about 200 products in the company's catalog - they are developing and produced in the company itself (except for colored pigments).

PureSolid solid oil

As part of: linseed and tung oil and rosin. Does not contain synthetic solvents. Oil entered the market in 2006

Can this composition without a solvent penetrate deep into the tree? The experience of its use on the beech showed that yes. During the test (60 minutes, 20 ° C), wood absorbed about 130 g / m² of oil. The manufacturer recommends PURESOLID to cover tabletops and wooden floors: unfortunately, tested oil on surfaces subject to strong wear, for example floor, failed.

If necessary, the oil can be diluted with turpentine, which makes sense when working with resinous wood (pine, larch, spruce).

Oil can be heated in a water bath to 60 ° C for hot applying, which, however, you need not always.

The oil absorbs long enough - before rubbing the surplus it is worth it to wait at least 45 minutes.

The surface treated with PureSolid oil becomes shiny, especially if we twice grate it with a soft cloth (for example, a white pad).

In general, the composition is easily applied, even newcomers will be able to work with it.

Solid Wax Kreidezeit.

As part of: flax and wood oil, bee and carnab wax and turpentine as a solvent. As a consistency, the wax resembles hard honey.

Working with the material is easy, but it is important to apply a thin layer. If you do vice versa, then when evaporation of the solvent, the thick layer of wax will become sticky.

4-6 hours after applying the wax, the surface must be polished; If you do it before, the pad will adhere, the same is possible when applying a thick layer of wax. The end result: silky on the touch surface with a light glitter, on which, alas, even small damage are visible. The coating itself is durable.

Attention! Wax do not cover wooden children's toys.

Karnubskaya wax emulsion kreidezeit

This is a product for care for the wax and washed floor. It consists mainly of water-emulsified carnaubsk wax (from the leaves of Palma Copernicia Cerifera).

This is a care agent that can be added to the floor for floor washing (3 tablespoons by 8-10 liters). Since the wax does not have a cleansing effect, then a strongly contaminated floor first wash with a cleaning agent. If the floor is treated with oil or wax quite recently, it is better to handle its wax emulsion before starting to walk on it.

Products Natural

Natural is a small family business in Austria, which specializes in the manufacture of natural colors since 1976. The company is a member of the registered Association of manufacturers of natural paints ENAV, which also includes: Auro, Beeck "Sche Farbenwerke, Naturhaus, Leinos, Livos and Biofa.

Winfried Muller: "What I like more and more when working with natural oils is the smell. It can cause addictory "

Solid oil

This is a classic processing oil that contains a solid and solvent in a ratio of approximately 1: 1. The oil is well absorbed and has a pleasant aroma - in the composition of isoalifat (solvents with low toxicity) and orange oil oil.

The composition gradually penetrates into the pores of the wood and long dries. Beech tests showed that the wood was well soaked and very little oil took place for the second coating, but it also had a long time.

The composition is suitable for children's toys. Because of the simplicity of technology of applying and processing with oil, newcomers can work. For highly loaded surfaces (floor, countertop), the company recommends parquet oil, as it is even more durable.

Natural parquet oil

The product resembles solid wood oil, but the solvent in it contains less: the ratio of the solvent and solids is approximately 2: 3.

Oil dries sufficiently long (60-90 minutes); When using a thin layer after half an hour after applying, a polymer film is formed on the surface of the composition. In this case, it is required to either add more oils, or remove the supernatant (the supernatant) after 10-15 minutes. It is important not to miss the moment.

Basically, oil is used to process floors, but it is recommended for both countertops.

Oil for finishing

This oil is applied to the washesized surface. It easily forms a polymer film and makes the surface more elastic. After polishing the surface becomes silky glossy - and this is despite the fact that there are no wax in oil.

The oil forms a rather solid surface (not scratched with a nail), which is most likely associated with a high resin content (rosin and damar). It is well suited for wood coniferous wood.

Smell soft, slightly resembling an orange. It is important to shake the jar well before use, it is worth stirring and when working: the resins quickly form a precipitate. On the wax surfaces is not recommended.

Finishing oil is suitable for surface treatment that need special protection. It can also be used instead of natural oil-lase oil for temporary surface protection.

Winfried Muller: "Although the oil is used only as finishing along the already treated surface, I applied it as the only processing of wood. It is well suited for normally loaded surfaces (when applied in two layers). "

Oil is not checked for suitability for processing children's toys!

Natural azure for wood

The azure can be used as coloring oil: in this case, it emphasizes the surface structure. But it is important to note: not all wood is suitable for treatment with a zuri - coloring pigments can be unevenly penetrated into the pores of solid wood. For example, the beech after processing becomes spotty.

There is an option: you can apply a coating with a very thin layer. In this case, the azure (very liquid and well absorbed) is well distributed.

With internal works, the azure is also better not to apply a thick layer, since different sections of the surface will be blusted differently. In addition, the azure is not very firm; Its polished surface is easy to damage.

Another option to use the lazuries on solid rocks is coarse grinding (P120).

At the ends of buildings, the azure should be used with caution: since in these places the composition is absorbed better than on the usual surface. This can lead to deep color changes on the edge surfaces.

Drying with the formation of the polymer layer takes a little longer than in the case of oil. Fully treated surface dries only after 1-2 weeks.

Patients for processing terraces

This oil is colorless or pigmented - intended for outdoor wood processing. Since it dries quickly, it is ideal for terraces, flooring and garden furniture.

Outside, as a rule, it makes sense to use pigmented oils. Here the visual aspect plays the role, although some wood breeds treated with colorless butter are also pretty beautiful.

However, pigments always provide protection against ultraviolet, albeit to a lesser extent than special additives.

The natural oil for processing the terraces penetrates into wood as usual, but forms a solid thin layer on the surface due to natural resins contained in its composition.

After 20-30 minutes after applying the oil, it is necessary to distribute over the surface with a uniform thin layer. After drying, it will acquire a characteristic shine. In natural conditions, the drying continues for about a week, after which it is recommended to treat the surface with the second layer. To update the coating, it is enough to cover wood with one layer of oil.

Newbies love to cover the surface too thick layer, guided by the principle of "much - not enough!". In this case, it is incorrect: excess oil will have to remove with a cloth or clothing (it's lucky), and the coating itself will remain sticky for a long time.

Osmo products

OSMO products differ markedly from ordinary oils and waxes: when it is used, it is almost always a polymer layer on the surface of the tree. Unlike other manufacturers, OSMO uses not flax and tung in their products, and sunflower oils, soybeans and thistle. The composition also happens to Candelil and Carnubsk wax, paraffins; As a solvent - White spirit.

OSMO is trying to combine the naturalness of the product and good properties, therefore, as part, it is sometimes possible to be found by no "trouble-free" chemical compounds, for example 2-butanonexim (prohibited for production in Canada as a potential carcinogen). However, this substance quickly evaporates after processing and is not contained after polymerization. Also in recent years (as of 2015) in the company's products, the content of sorbents based on cobalt salts is noted, which is criticized by Ökotest.

Used by the oil producer are not as high quality as flaxed, but OSMO somehow managed to make high-quality coatings based on them. Their advantage is the absence of a strong smell.

Osmo solid wax oil

OSMO HARD WAX OIL is the most famous OSMO product. Handlets, floors, other surfaces that are subject to constant influence, turned out to be very effective. Often OSMO Hard Wax Oil is considered as an alternative to classic oil according to the method of applying.

It is applied to the surface very thin layer. It dries enough quickly without rubbing. For application it is better to use a brush with artificial fiber, the bristle will be too rude for oil.

It is very important to mix the oil before starting work! It should not be allowed to form an excess oil on the surface so as not to spoil the natural pattern of the tree.

It is not necessary to grind the surface between the application of the layers, but if, after the first drying, wooden fibers remain rough, they can be smoothed by fine-grained emery paper (P320-400).

Winfried Muller: "Despite the fact that the oil dries relatively quickly, I will still be careful with the surface during the first two weeks after applying the finish layer."

The surface after treatment has become pleasant and smooth to the touch. Film formed over wood - durable and elastic. In addition, it is resistant to moisture: even after the treated surface was left for a day spilled water, the stains were not formed.

Small details are better to handle in another way: apply oil with a thin soft cloth in several layers (from 3 to 6 - depending on which load is assumed to the surface). Glitter in this case will be matte.

Osmo Hard Wax Oil Oil, in contrast to most products, protects wood mainly on the surface: the beech is characterized by the depth of penetration of the coating by 0.1-0.5 mm (usually for oil, this indicator is 1-4 mm). Because of this, damage and deep scratches need to be processed again.

The solvent used is gasoline with aromatic compounds. The treated surface is very smelling especially in the first weeks, and then the smell is practically not felt.

If oil is required for painting wood, in the manufacturer's lineup there is a solid wax oil. After applying it, it is recommended to update the coating with a colorless composition or decorative wax.

Before using oil, wood must be pulled by abrasive with a graininess of at least P150. For furniture made of hardwood, this indicator should be increased to P180-240.

After processing and polishing the coating, the thin layer of wax becomes rather solid, but it is important to consider: if the oil layer is more recommended, the layer will remain soft even more years later.

Sometimes the information appears on the Internet that the treated coating may be spoiled if you put a hot bowl on it, etc. The test results (a cup with boiling water was an hour on the treated surface) showed that there were no traces on wood left.

In 2009, the composition of OSMO HARTWACHSÖL PURRE was developed, which practically does not contain solvents (less than 1%). The wood processing method will differ, because the composition is more viscous compared to the oil under consideration.

The oil has white pigments, but as a result, the color is quite restrained. Apply oil should be a thin layer no more than 2-3 times.

Testing the composition on the pine and beech showed good results. The oil was applied twice, after each layer polished the surface.

Osmo wax oil

The composition is rather liquid, the consistency resembles water. Unlike many other OSMO products, this oil penetrates deeply into the wood and does not forms a protective layer on the surface. 30 minutes after applying, the composition should be completely erased from the surface.

Testing has shown that the beech absorbs about 100 g / m² of composition in 30 minutes. During this time, the oil penetrates rather deep into the pores of wood and gives the material a small yellowish tint.

Technology processing is simple: it is hardly possible to do something wrong. The oil will not stick it, if you wipe it out of remnants after processing.

The composition of the oil is approximately the same as other OSMO oils: sunflower, soy and safflower oil, carnab and cadelil waxes, paraffin, dehumidifiers, polysiloxanes (based on silica), 2-butanone oxim, dearomatized White Spirit.

OSMO Azure for applying in one layer and transparent azure

Winfried Muller: "Advertising claims that it is quite sufficient to apply such a lazard into one layer. I am very skeptical and I think it is a "lazy compromise." Of course, it will take less time on wood processing, if you apply a coating in one layer, and the result is quite acceptable.

But there is a problem: there is always a surface that was not accidentally processed properly, and one layer will not close all flaws, and the coating in two layers will solve this problem. Therefore, I believe that the coating with good protective properties is always applied in 2-3 layers. Everything else is nothing more than promotional promises. "

The azure is designed for both internal and external work (except windows - for them you need a coating with a thicker protective layer). After the first application, the effect is barely noticeable, unless the wood absorbs the composition is not entirely: in this case, the transparent layer remains on the surface. After applying the second layer on the surface in any case, the satin shine remains.

Thanks to the fatty-liquid consistency, the azure is well soaked in wood. In places where there is a resin on the tree, a brilliant surface is formed, but it becomes matte after weathelation.

After processing the transparent azure on the surface, a matte shine remains, in the rest, it does not differ from one-layer lazories.

Livos products

In 2003, 55 employees worked in the company with a turnover of about € 4 million. Now the company's products are one of the best-selling natural paints and oils.

Manufacturers do not use dried substances based on cobalt salts. From solvents are most often used isoalifathes, despite the fact that these substances are petroleum products, they practically do not cause allergies. In some products of the company, along with ethanol and water, orange oil and turbid.

Usually LIVOS oils are liquid consistency with a precipitate due to a small amount of wax contained in them. When Livos-treated Livos wood dries, it acquires a uniform silk shine.

Natural oil Koimos 196

Koimos 196 is especially interested in testing, since it does not have neither cobalt salts nor solvents. This is a good alternative for people who suffer allergies or sensitive to chemicals.

Winfried Muller: "This oil is as good as others? I think that when it is used, you will have to make compromises. First, oil dries quite a long time. Practical tests have shown that after 8 hours after applying it to a glass plate, it still remained liquid. After 24 hours it was pretty soft. Finally, oil polymerized only after 4 weeks.

The second point: Even after drying, the oil remains much softer than Kunos Arbeisplattenöl or Natural oil Kunos.

Since the oil contains wax, it is good to polish; The second coating layer is actually polished and is - after applying it to the surface with a very thin layer (about 3 g / m 2), wood must be polished with a soft cloth, a white pead or a special typewriter.

Oil for parquet Livos Koimos 277

In composition, Livos Koimos 277 parquet oil is practically no different from the previous one.

For the floor to which there are serious loads, it is worth using oil with a stronger protective film - on extremely to apply the finish layer. Oil consumption is quite small - about 30-40 g / m².

Liquid Livos Kunos 243

This oil is suitable for processing tabletops, window sills, as well as for work in bathrooms. It is resistant to long-term water exposure, and the presence of wax makes it possible to polish to shine.

Starting from 2012 (from the party number 21281), the composition does not add orange oil, now it can be used and allergic.

For wood processing, 3-layers are enough. The second and the third are applied accordingly 12 and 24 hours after the first. Fully oil dries a month after the finish coating.

Its consumption when applied to 3 layers of approximately 65-100 g / m 2. For the subsequent recovery of the coating, a minimum is sufficiently a teaspoon on m 2.

Natural oil Livos Kunos 244 for high-loaded surfaces

Livos Kunos 244 is a universal oil in the Livos assortment. It is suitable for processing any surfaces: floor, furniture, tables (including from multiplex), children's toys.

However, this is an oil from the Classic series, therefore, people sensitive to chemicals may arise allergies (this concerns processing, not subsequent use).

Natural oil is colorless or pigmented in different colors. Colorless oil is almost no different from Kunos 241 in composition, according to the processing technology and at a price.

Wood with small pores before processing you need to polish. Beech tests showed that with thin grinding (P180), pigments are not colored wood, and when grinding the P120 abrasive, the color is clearly visible.

After polishing on the surface of the tree, a thin protective coating with a silky glossy glitter is formed.

Furniture oil Livos Darix 297

Darix is very similar to colored oil, but it is suitable for fine work to achieve more color options. Surfaces experiencing high loads, after initial processing with colorless oil, you need to be treated also with Darix butter. It protects colored pigments from abrasion.

As in the case of LIVOS KUNOS 244, pre-treatment is important: dense wood species slowly absorb pigments. Testing has shown that when processing the P120 abrasive, the color turned out better than after P180. The end result also depends on the color of the tree.

Direct comparison with Natural Azure: Natural is applied thinner and stronger staining wood. You can completely remove the supernatant, but the color will still be well expressed.

After the first processing and drying, the supernatant is leveled with a cloth or a dry brush. To apply the second layer, it is enough to wipe the surface with a cloth moistened in the composition.

Auro products

Auro is located next to Livosom and manufactures natural paints. After Herman Fisher - the founder of Livos - left his post at the beginning of the 80s, he founded Auro after a while. Today it is still working in Auro Aktiengesellschaft. In 1992, he was recognized by the "Ektent of the Year" (Capital / WWF).

In recent years, many water-based products have been developed to reduce the amount of solvents in oils, varnishes and paints. This transition was not always easy. Experience shows that some water-based products give not the best results, but they do not have a negative impact on the environment. Obviously, development will continue in this direction.

Auro refrains from the use of petrochemical raw materials. As a solvent, if there is a need, orange oil is used.

Auro solid wax number 171

As a consistency, the solid wax from Auro is a pasty, slightly softer honey. As part - only natural oils and waxes.

After applying the composition must be left for an hour, and then polish until it is still soft. Smooth up with a dry brush or cloth surface and remove excess wax. If the surface has already been processed with oil or wax, it is enough to apply a thin layer and leave it without subsequent polishing. The thick layer will dry and it will be sticky for a long time.

The resulting protective layer is sufficiently solid and durable, but for the tabletops it is not worth using it because of the wax sensitivity to high temperatures, which will leave the traces on the table top.

Auro № 171 solid wax is suitable for loaded surfaces and even untreated wood. Thanks to the oils contained in it, the tree surface becomes less susceptible to moisture, which does not happen when processing pure wax.

After a day, the surface dries up, but still not to the end. Finally, the wax hardens after 3-4 weeks.

ATTENTION: A film is formed in an open bank on the spiker. It is necessary to close the cutter with wax to avoid access of oxygen to the composition.

AURO oil for applying in one layer № 109

The composition of the product - oil flax, tung and milk thistle. There are no resins in oil, and people with allergies on rosin can use it.

Consistency in oil is rather viscous; For half an hour, when applying the first layer on a beech surface was absorbed from 30 to 60 g / m² (at a temperature of 20 ° C).

After applying, the oil should be left for 30 minutes, and then remove the supernatant, as the surface polymerization will begin in an hour and the supernatant will be difficult to remove. And if direct sunlight falls on the coating, the polymerization will occur even faster.

Fully oil dries only in a month, which is quite long, but it is compensated by a good end result.

Hard oil for wood Auro Pursolid № 123

This oil is suitable for processing surfaces exposed to high loads: floor, furniture, work surfaces. In its composition - linen, tung and thistle oil. Resins, as in the past case, are not used, which is important for allergies.

As a consistency, oil resembles Auro No. 109, but less prone to polymerization within an hour. The problem, however, remains: if the "capture" process has already begun, it will be extremely difficult to remove the supernatant: even adding fresh oil does not help.

The oil is absorbed in the pores of wood longer, the level of consumption is obtained significantly large: 150 g / m² - with polishing and 132 g / m² - without polishing. When applying the second layer, consumption is minimal - about 5 g / m 2.

Finally, oil solidifies 2-4 weeks after applying the finish layer. The smell from it completely disperse after 6-8 weeks.

You can add a solvent (up to 20%) to the oil, but the manufacturer assures that for most tree species is absolutely optional. It may be necessary for the treatment of rocks in which a lot of resins (pine, larch).

It is worth noting: oil though slowly dries, but if you leave the bank open for several days on the surface, a jelly film is formed.

Experiments on beech, spruce, pine, Pavlovnia, Oak, ash and walnut gave good results.

Solid primer Auro № 127

The primer with an aqueous solvent is suitable for pretreatment of wood before applying Wax Auro No. 187 or floor finish with composition AURO No. 267. It consists of flax, ricin, sunflower oil, rape, rosin, mineral fillers, borates and several additives.

The beech test showed that the original color of the wood was almost preserved: the primer does not penetrate only the top layer of wood and makes it insensitive to moisture and dirt. After applying the oil, the tree should be treated with a dry brush so that the primer is completely penetrated into the wood.

After 24 hours, the surface is good, it can be treated with abrasive. It is enough to use the emery paper P180-240, softly wiped the surface. It should not be grinding the tree too much: the protective effect of primer in this case will be lost.

Biopin products

Biopin BiopInternational manufacturer of natural paints in Europe; Not least this is due to attractive prices.

Part of the Biopin products contains water as a solvent: you can almost completely abandon other solvents, it will well affect the ecology, but it may make it difficult to work with the materials.

Many Biopin products are designed until 2009, orange oil used as a solvent. After it was recognized by the "annoying and ecologically dangerous substance", the composition of the product was changed. Now Biopin does not use orange oil and moved to the use of isoalifatis.

Natural solid wax

Usually the wax is used for an already washed surface. The consistency is similar to cream, the smell resembles lemon.

Provides additional protection of the already treated surface. The process of application is very simple: it is enough to apply wax and labeled it with a soft cloth.

The initial drying takes from 10 to 30 minutes, can be polished in 3-6 hours. The wax is relatively mild, so they should process surfaces that are not exposed to strong effects.

Tabletop processing oil

This oil has a very low viscosity, so it can penetrate deep into the wood. The measurement performed by Winfried Muller showed the ratio: about 60% of the solvent and about 40% of solid content. Previously, orange oil was used as a solvent, from 2009 - isoalifat.

To apply the first layer, there is a lot of composition, because it penetrates deep into the pores of wood. The second layer is applied more economically, so when working in two or three layers (namely, it is recommended to use the oil) consumption is small.

And the beech, and the fir showed a good saturation of wood after the second layer, but for such loaded surfaces, as a countertop, it is recommended to work in three layers.

The oil is easily and quickly applied, its excess is better removed with a rag: when applied with a thin layer on the surface, a film is quickly formed; Too fat layer will make it difficult to dry out. If there are doubts, it is better to apply too thin layer than too fat.

After surface treatment, you need to wait 15-30 minutes (the manufacturer recommends 15 minutes) and wipe the oil remaining on the tree on the tree.

Furniture processing oil

The composition of the oil is about the same as in the oil for tabletops, but the resins are indicated as additional ingredients.

It is suitable for any wood breeds from Europe, in fact is a versatile wood treatment agent.

After applying the oil, the surface must be left for 10 minutes (this approves the manufacturer), and then remove the supernatants. Testing on the tree showed that even an hour after an hour, the oil is not polymerized and it is easy to erase.

During the application of the second layer, the oil continues to strongly absorbed wood. Its total consumption is up to 150-200 g / m 2, but with timely removal of the supernatant, the flow rate will range from 50 to 80 g / m 2 - depending on the tree of the tree.

The oil dries fast enough: after 3-5 hours it solidifies (unlike 12-24 hours from other oils) and you can apply a second layer.

Always open the bank only for a short time so that the oil is saved longer. Never apply the composition directly from the bank, unless you intend to use it entirely soon.

Solid oil

The composition of the product in principle remains unchanged: linen and tung oil, isoalifatis as a solvent, resin. The ratio of solvent and solids is approximately 55 to 45.

The thinner the layer, the faster it becomes sticky (10-20 minutes after processing). If you did not have time to remove the supernatant layer, you can dissolve the polymer film in fresh oil.

After polishing the surface acquires silky glossy shine. Since the oil contains a lot of resins, the protective layer is formed after two coatings.

To work with the oil you need a fabric without a pile; Paper towels will not suit.

Newbumps Working with butter may seem complex, but experienced users will appreciate all its merits.

Solid wax oil

As part of: flax and tung oil, isoalifatis as a solvent. Additional properties of oil give rosin and carnab wax.

After processing the wood on its surface, the wax film appears, which in the first few days remains very soft. Hardwood takes about 1-2 weeks: up to this point the surface remains sticky.

Warming wax, which did not have time to dry, difficult: 12 hours after applying the work, the cloth did not bring any results. A week later, the same surface after polishing gives a beautiful silky glossy shine.

Products Leinos.

Since 1986, LEINOS has been one of the leading manufacturers of natural wood processing. Nevertheless, Leinos GmbH went bankrupt in 2007, and the manufacture of products under its brand is now deemed by Reincke Naturfarben GmbH from Buxtehude.

Almost all hypoallergenic products, but a range of impregnations contains turpentine and orange oil that can cause allergies. In other cases, an isoparaffine is used as a solvent.

LEINOS interior

This newly developed company product is designed to process wooden surfaces mainly in public places, outlets. The oil forms a solid protective film on the wood surface - probably due to the ingredients used: urea polycondensate and polysilicate nanoparticles.

Before applying the oil, it is necessary to mix well because it contains weighted solids that are quickly dissolved. Remove the supernatant is required in the range of 20-45 minutes after applying. After 5-8 hours you can apply the second layer.

Finally, it solidifies, as testing has shown, approximately 2-5 days.

The main problem of the composition is unstable to the effects of moisture: spots arise on the surface, which is especially noticeable on beech and pine.

Wood painting oil leinos

Liquid oil, which is mixed with a reddish brown pigment. It manifests its properties in different ways on various rocks of the tree: to beech, for example, it falls with a warm reddish brown tint.

Before processing, it is necessary to test the testing - because in case of incorrect selection, the color of wood can be spoiled.

The composition and method of application are not fundamentally different from the past. It is important to know that when working with any pigmented oil, it is necessary to mix well before use.

Painting oils sometimes reveal an invisible structure of wood - including its defects and scratches. In order for the result not disappointed, it is necessary to pay special attention to the preparation of the surface.

Products Naturhaus.

Naturhaus is focused on the use of renewable and natural raw materials. The company is known as a supplier of materials for the processing of large cruise ships, such as Queen Mary II - one of the largest passenger ships in the world.

Naturhaus High Solid Oil

This solid oil practically does not contain solvents: there is little orange oil (less than 5%). Nevertheless, there are dried substances - calcium compounds, zirconium and cobalt.

Oil is easy to apply; The long period of polymerization of the supernatant layer (about an hour) makes it easy to remove the supernatant.

Over the hour of operation, the oil consumption on the beech was 84 g / m 2; When applying the second layer - about 10-20 g / m 2. Drying time is about 12 hours; Full drying takes a few weeks.

Where the surface is susceptible to serious wear, the manufacturer recommends that it is pre-applied to it with solid oil.

Naturhaus solid wax for internal works

Close-in consistency to ointment solid wax Naturhaus has consisting of carnab and bees waxes, flaxseed oil. It does not contain solvents.

After 1-2 hours after applying wax, the surface should polish: at this time the wax still soft and polished will be easy.

The wax hardens quite slowly: you have to wait 2-3 days before it becomes solid. The manufacturer talks about 12 hours, but it is too small. Fully wax hardens after 7 days.

Wax in the bank is often polymerized on the surface, if not overlapping oxygen access to it.

PNZ products

PNZ operates on the market for more than 20 years and since 1994 increasingly switches to non-solvent products.

The peculiarity is that most PNZ oils for wood are not based on linen or tung oil, but contains the oil of thistle, poppy, nut and rape, sunflower and soybean oil.

On the one hand, this ensures the absence of a bitter smell from linseed oil. On the other hand, the components used are much more difficult to apply and receive good results when using them.

Pnz colored oil

This is not classic wood oil, but rather oil paint on a water basis. The manufacturer indicates that often one layer is often enough: for water based oil, this is a very good result.

The surface dries quite quickly: after an hour, color oil is usually already dried. Grinding, polishing and removal of supernatant are impossible. Oil is suitable for both internal and external work.

Hard Wax PNZ.

This is a product from oilseed wax that penetrates wood on a very small depth, and on the surface the protective layer. It is intended for use on surfaces that are subjected to strong wear: these are wooden floors and countertops.

Because of the slightly thick consistency, it is suitable for wood with large pores: Even in this case, the flow remains rather low. However, the surface must be smooth, so after drying it is necessary to polish a pressure coating.

10-30 minutes after applying, you must remove the supernatant. The precipitate on the surface is vigorously rubbed with a cloth. The final polishing is carried out in a day after the finish coating. Result with proper use: a homogeneous silk-glossy surface.

Beginners should not use such a composition; It is necessary to at least try to work as wax in a small area before starting to work.

And the main point in the composition is waterproof. Beech tests showed that the short exposure to water does not affect the surface. A long test (1 hour) showed catastrophic results: water penetrates wood, which begins to swell hard. On the surface there are ugly matte stains. If such an impact is possible extremely rare, it is not critical: you can make a good partial repairs - pollute the surface and apply the composition again.

PNZ Wood Treatment Oil

The composition of the product remains almost unchanged: linen, walnut, sunflower, poppy, rapeseed, tung and thistle oil. This provides almost complete absence of odor, which is characteristic of impregnation based on flax and tunga or solvent-containing.

On the other hand, the oil dries for a long time - complete solidification occurs 7-10 days after applying. The coating remains relatively mild even after that time. It is much softer than after processing with other oils - even relatively soft thistle. Testing has shown that the coating even with a slight pressure is easily scratched with a nail.

Despite the fact that the recommended scope of use is wooden floors, such an oil is not suitable for the processing of high-loaded surfaces as an finishing coating - only as a primer, on top of which solid oil or wax is applied.

Wax pnz.

A water-based product that resembles a wax azure. On the treated surface, a viscous plastic protective film with silk glitter is formed.

The results of the application of the first layer will not be imprinted: the wax is almost completely absorbed into the wood and does not give gloss. The second layer after polishing gives a light silky shine.

The instructions say that the composition is well suited for the processing of wet premises: the treated surface has good water repellent properties. The test showed that even after 8 hours, water does not penetrate the wood. Coloring fluid left barely noticeable stain on a tree after 4 hours.

PNZ wood wax is sensitive to heating: a hot enough coffee cup to damage the surface. Therefore, the material is suitable for processing tables and countertops very conditionally.

Volvox / Ecotec products

Volvox / Ecotec is a manufacturer of natural paints, which works on the market since 1989 this is a relatively small manufacturer in Luneshede.

Volvox solid oil

Classic oil in which about 60% of solids and about 40% solvent (isoparaffins). In oil contains preventive skin products, (possibly oximon butanone, which is avoided by many other manufacturers of natural paints).

The dried oil is a secondary hardness: scratch is formed, even if it is strongly pressed on a protective layer of nail.

DiCK GmbH products

The company has been specializing in the manufacture of high-quality tools; Manufacture of oils and paints for it - an adjacent sphere. At the same time, products are 100% natural oils.

China Lignea Tung Oil

Tung oil is found in most impregnations that we have considered above, but in this case it is clean oil, which usually dries on the low-speed or even faster without dried additives.

The oil has a rather strong smell, which is sometimes described as "smell of fried potatoes." It is very resistant and when the oxygen is lacking, it will appear even after many years, so the inner surfaces of the cabinets and chest of drawers are not recommended to be treated with tung oil.

In a liquid state, tung oil can irritate the skin, so when working with it, wear protective gloves.

Swedish linen oil Linolja

Clean flaxseed oil is pre-oxidized or untreated. "Pre-open" occurs by whitening it in the sun; It dries on the surface without sequivos for a short time (1-3 days).

Drying of the untreated oil will take more than 1 to 4 weeks, which is impractical without sequivos. It is believed that the Swedish flaxseed oil dries faster.

Mac Oil

Poppy oil is also completely drying; It is popular because it does not have a yellow shade and therefore well suited for wood processing of light rocks: maple, birch. It dries a lot slower than linen oil.

Popy oil is rarely used by manufacturers of natural colors: its technical properties are not so good, like linen or tung oil.

Poppy oil, available, is safe and can be used even in food. But it is categorically not recommended to pour oil from the bank to the frying pan, if you want to fry the kitlet.

Camellia oil Sinensis

Camellia oil is a good liquid with a slightly nutty smell. In Japan, it is used for centuries, it is used to care for knives and weapons. To treat the wood surface, you should not use oils that are not dried. The exceptions are kitchen boards that are regularly lubricated with oil (for example, adammed wood boards).

Products Erzgebirge Steinert.

Erzgebirge Steineert does not specialize in the production of natural colors, but there are oils developed and produced by Livos. This is connected with the fact that they are so much resemble these oils both in composition and technical characteristics.

Products Biofa.

The production of natural paints Biofa was founded in the late 70s. Information about the ingredients are fully open, so the consumer can decide which risks it is exposed. This is especially important for allergies.

In recent years, the company has developed several products without solvents and without water, which, nevertheless, are easy to use.

Butter for working surfaces Biofa 2052

Oil without solvents contains some microlax, which settles on the bottom. Therefore, before using the composition you need to shake or mix. The smell is quite weak, a little resembles nutty.

Processing is performed as usual: after 20-30 minutes you need to remove the supernatant. The oil penetrates the wood is very restrained: the inlet beech test for an hour has shown that the flow rate will be 46 g / m². The second layer is almost not absorbed - less than 3 g / m².

In general, we should handle wood in 2-3 layers. Depending on whether the wood is well absorbed oil, even the second layer after frozen can be easily polished with a cloth. The first layer should be applied with the help of a brush so that there is enough oil on the surface.

The composition of the oil is not indisputable: in addition to linen, tung and ricinic oil, there is a saccine ester of rosin, microlax, dryers based on cobalt salts, zirconium and manganese.

It is suitable for processing tabletops, can be used as a universal oil for furniture.

Wood fracture is a wood treatment with wax for additional protection against external factors. Wood treatment by bee wax known mankind for a very long time. One of the first defensive compositions, first using a tree by a man, and was wax.

What gives the wax wood wax?

Wood treatment with wax creates a thin protective film on the surface and, at the same time, deeply penetrates into the pores of the tree, reinforcing it. Together with what was said, the wax does not score pores and the tree continues to "breathe."

You can process the wax any breed of wood.

The only disadvantage of wood treatment with wax is the impossibility of its use for the room with high temperatures. Since, when heated, the wax begins to melt and follows. For this minus treatment with wax, wood, end.

Let us turn to the pluses of waxing, which are much more than minuses.

Impregnation wax increases water-repellent wood properties

Wood's fascination improves appearance, emphasizes the structure of the tree and adds shine. If the composition add coloring substances, then you can adjust the shade of wood.

Wax processing We protect wood from cracking, damage to pests and fungi. Protects scratches and other damage.

By the way: Impregnation on the basis of wax you can remove existing scratches on the tree. It is necessary to choose the composition suitable for color and lure them place with a defect. Scratch will be almost imperceptible to the eye.

Wood Wood Processing Technology

 • The first step purify the surface from the old coating, if it was. Purified by solvent and give dry
 • Next, the surface is grinding, in order to remove all irregularities and roughness.
 • Next apply wax. Before applying wax, you can soak by wood with oil. This will strengthen the protective properties of wax.
 • If the wax is solid, it is necessary to warm up in a water bath, if you purchased the finished wax for processing, it is not necessary to warm it up.
 • To apply wax, you need to use a cloth that does not have a pile. The wax is rubbed into the surface until the fabric stops sticking to the surface. Sukny is carried out by treating smooth surfaces. For processing ends and curly elements, use a brush.
 • After the processing is completed, you need to leave the surface at rest for a few hours so that the wax is absorbed into the pores of the tree. After time, the surplus is cleaned with a soft cloth. After that we grind the surface.
 • If you need to add shine, then another thin layer of wax is applied.

Forms for fracturing are sold in stores in a huge assortment. But if you want the composition to have no extra chemical inclusions, then you can make the composition with your own hands. Yes, it will cost it much cheaper.

From this article you will learn:

Wood is a unique building material that a person uses throughout its history. However, that the tree retains its qualities longer, its processing and protection is needed. For this purpose, different materials are used, for example, wax for wood processing.

What is included in the wax for wood processing

Wood for wood is a decorative finishing coating. It is used, causing a clean tree or in combination with other materials. On the one hand, the wax prevents the penetration of excess moisture into the structure of the tree and protects it from mold, rotting, damage to insects, and on the other, it performs decorative functions.

When the wooden surface is coated, it highlights its texture, makes a smoother, adds light shine and velvety tint. Dark wax formulations are usually used during restoration, as well as to imitate antiques.

The composition for wood processing wax produces various consistencies. Small surface areas are treated with special wax pastes, liquid consistency formulations are used for large rooms. There are also soft and solid restoration wax. It is used as a means for climbing cracks and chips.

Wax pastes consist of three main components:

 • bee wax or paraffin creating a soft elastic consistency that improves the polishing process;
 • carnab wax, which gives the finish strength and adds shine;
 • solvent - it is necessary to make the composition of optimal denotomy.

What do you need wax for wood processing

Currently, a variety of ways to protect wooden surfaces from mechanical damage, pests and destroying environmental impacts, including from solar radiation and chemicals.

For the impregnation of wood, various varnishes, paints, oils are used. One of the most reliable and demanded tools of protection is the wax impregnation, which not only protects the wood, but also emphasizes its structure and beauty.

Fracture is one of the most ancient and qualitative ways to process wooden products. Wax - environmentally friendly material. It is absolutely safe for health. A tree covered with this material looks expressive, brighter. It darkens a little and, at the same time, becomes a very noble golden shade. In addition, in contrast to the varnish coated, the wax surface "breathes", and the tree itself appears an excellent smell.

Nowadays, the industry produces many varieties of wax compositions to cover the wooden surface and furniture. Mixtures ready for use include natural wax and different additives, such as oils. They can be applied immediately after opening the packaging. Any wood breeds are exposed, but it is best look at the items made of pine and ate.

Wax for treating a tree has a rich color palette. Different color colors can be mixed with each other. Dark formulations are easy to make lighter, adding colorless wax in them. If you apply a colorless varnish on the already available coating, it will lead to an increase in the layer thickness, while not changing its coloring. So that the upper fibers of the wood when processing are not sweeping, the wax should be slightly diluted with undiluted White Spirit.

Than wax for tree processing is different from oil

As previously noted, the wave of a tree can be carried out both with the help of wax paste and using flaxseed with wax. Oil, when applied to the surface, deeply impresses wood, without changing its natural texture. The wax forms a film that protects the product from abrasion and damage.

Wax for wood processing with linseed oil protects the tree from rotting and drying. To protect furniture outside the room, special oil-wax for wood should be applied.

Walkie is a reliable method of protecting a wooden surface. In addition, it is inexpensive, which allows it to be widely used.

Wax impregnations are characterized by environmental friendliness and safety, as well as water-repellent properties. If required, you can change the shades or the color of the coating.

How to make wax for wood processing do it yourself

Wax paste can be quickly prepared at home. Place in the metal container beeswax and melt it in a water bath. By 30% of the molten material should add 20% of oil olifa and 50% of the oil of terrestrial (turpentine). After careful mixing of the components, the mixture must be cooled to solidification. It then rubs the wooden surfaces, parquet, etc.

How to prepare for wood processing wax

Before starting the frenzy, the surface of the tree must be prepared. First, they eliminate all the recesses. Next, grinding fine-grained abrasive, dust is removed by a cloud.

If you want to apply wax to the surface, previously covered in any way, then the old layers must be removed.

Applying a solvent is allowed to remove the varnish. Previous coating must be removed completely until natural wood appears.

The old coating is removed with warm water using abrasive materials. All small splashes of varnish remaining after cleaning are removed with a knife or blade. Purified surface is thoroughly grinding, dust is removed. Before you apply wax for wood processing, the board must be carefully sucked and cleaned with a skin.

Smooth, dry and smooth surface of the tree indicates that the preparation of it to treatment with wax was carried out correctly. Note that the fascination of old antique furniture and other wooden items perfectly protects them from damage. The wax can be covered both unpainted and varnished surfaces.

How does wood treatment with wax

Wax pastes are a kind of polishing materials and, as a rule, in their composition they contain beeswax. Sold in steel banks. To apply paste on wooden surfaces, it is recommended to use a special tampon. However, you can use a thick brush or a sponge for washing dishes. Wax paste is a wonderful finishing material that is applied to other coatings after they are impregnated with oil.

The liquid wax for wood processing is applied with a brush and is used when processing surfaces with a large area, for example, it can be a massive panel. The composition for floors has a transparent foundation. It is applied in difficult operational conditions.

Waxing means for impregnation are produced in various colors and shades. Dark colors serve mainly for restoration work. Their task is to hide small scratches and defects. The most common compositions have transparent or yellow.

For oak finishing, impregnations of brown and black shades are used. This allows the tree to most fully show its texture. Cedar or pine, as a rule, covered with golden impregnations, and in order to give freshness in a red tree, pick up red mastic.

The imposition of one composition is on another it is possible to achieve a smooth transition of the tones. Items often contact with clothing, for example, chairs or tables, paints, oil and wax, as a rule, do not cover.

 • Wood processing process with wax.

In order to evenly put the wax paste, special tampons are used. Several layers of composition are applied to the surface with circular motions. After the first layer, the surface is rubbed along wood fibers. After a few minutes they apply the second, and the surface is rubbed across the wood fibers. If difficulties arise with the grout, then the paste should be heated. After the imposition of both layers of the surface, they give about a day that the solvent pairs are completely evaporated.

Then the surface is covered with wax several times and completely dried. And finally, at the last stage, it is necessary to polish the coating with a soft cloth to the level you need. A sufficiently long polishing can even achieve the effect of mirror.

 • Wood wood treatment features.

Walkie is an ancient type of wood treatment, considered one of the most noble. Under the influence of bee wax, the tree becomes extremely beautiful, smooth and soft. The wax, being applied to the wooden surface, highlights its natural texture, adds a light glitter, a noble yellowish tint is traced on the surface, the board exudes a fresh natural aroma.

Some masters are diligently polished the wax surface to a mirror glitter. Now on sale a variety of compositions for wood treatment with wax are presented. Among them can be found, for example, the wax of the Allows used in liquid form with the addition of the solvent. It is based on beeswax, pine (cedar) resin and orange oil.

When processing with the wax of large areas, for example, the floor, chemical solvents are added to the solid compositions. However, after mechanical instruments (irons) appeared, solid compositions can be used without dissolving them using chemicals.

Today in the building materials market you can find wax for treating the tree color of the earth. It is necessary to use it carefully, since the layer can lie unevenly, it will be not easy to correct it. To change the color of the coating, you should not use the earthen paint, it is preferable to impregnate with wood with a mourn of the corresponding color, and not butter.

Another beneficial property of waxing coatings is that they do not accumulate static electricity, and, therefore, do not attract dust. It is also noted that the wax surfaces have a beneficial effect on the emotional and physical condition of the person, create a comfortable atmosphere in the room.

 • Rules of work with wax.

Repeating the impregnation procedure several times in a row, you increase the amount of wax each time, falling per unit area of the wooden surface. Thus, you get the ability to control this parameter at your discretion.

Forms for wood processing wax may include several of its varieties. Among the most famous species, we call bee or carnauba wax, and Zhivitsa. There are special artificial agents created from oil components, their composition contains chemical solvents without oil base.

Rules of operation of furniture treated with wax for wood

We also note that the waxing coatings react poorly to elevated temperatures. You can destroy them, just putting a mug with hot tea on it. It should also prevent contact with alcohol treated with alcohol, take care of them from scratches and other mechanical damage.

Wood, which was impregnated with a special composition, becomes stronger and more stable to external conditions. Such furniture will last for a very long time. And so that all this time she pleased you, follow her condition and from time to time put in order.

A tree for a long time is used by a person for the construction and finishing of houses, the manufacture of furniture and interior items. This material remains popular today, due to environmental friendliness and decorative qualities. However, wood products are required to protect against external damage, small scratches, moisture, pollution. To protect wood and to emphasize the texture and beauty of natural pattern, various coatings are applied.

Among the possible versions of wood processing, the wave is beneficial to the fact that this is an eco-friendly method for which natural agents are used. So, many wooden products covered with wax can be used without fears even in children's rooms.
The advantage of wax before varnish is not only in the naturalness, but also that, covering and protecting the surface, it does not score pores of wood, the tree breathes. Unlike varnishes that create a film. In this case, the appearance only wins, the water repellent properties of wax are good, the coating is durable.

Scope of liquid wax

Depending on the consistency and composition, the wax is divided into liquid, solid and water. Each type of wax finds its scope.
So, liquid wax is particularly convenient when it is necessary to treat the surface of a complex embossed form. For example, furniture, richly decorated with carved elements. The solid in the composition of the wax is applied with a piece of soft tissue, and in this case, it will not suit.

The liquid wax is applied with a brush, easily spreads over the surface of any shape, with it covers the most complex and thin elements of the decor. It is possible to play with a color saturation depending on how many layers of liquid wax are applied. There are options to make the surface of shiny or matte.
As a rule, the composition of liquid wax for wood includes beeswax and natural solvent - turpentine.

Preparation of liquid wax at home

Such wax can be prepared at home. This requires bee wax and turpentine in a 1: 2 ratio to obtain a liquid agent. Wax crumble and melts on a steam bath or in a microwave oven. Then carefully and constantly stirring, pour turpentine. If the mixture turned out to be too liquid, the procedure is repeated, heating the solution and adding more chopped wax there.
Sometimes a small number of "Carnubskaya wax" is added. This is not a bee product, but a solid wood resin mined from palm leaves in Brazil. Thanks to the wax of carnauba, the coating becomes stronger.

Depending on which wax is used, the composition is obtained for the shades of various shades. So, to preserve the natural light wood, it is recommended to cover it with a bleached wax. Other options give saturated honey shades.
When working with Skipidar, safety equipment should be followed and to ventilate the room well.

Liquid wax based on flaxseed oil. Cooking at home.
Vegetable oils can be used as solvents instead of turpidar. Thus, it turns out an absolutely safe remedy with a pleasant smell that also cover children's furniture or wooden toys.

To prepare this means at home, natural beeswax and linseed oil in a 1: 4 ratio are taken. Linen oil should be pre-boiled. Sometimes it is replaced with olive oil. But linen is absorbed much better, so it is preferable to use it.
The bee wax is crumb and combined with vegetable oil in a glass container. After that, heated in a water bath. You can use the microwave. The finished mixture is stored during the year without losing its properties. Store in a closed container in a cool place, avoid exposure to direct sunlight.

Liquid wax industrial production

In liquid industrial production wax is usually added substances that accelerate the drying process - seaccatives, rosin esters to enhance adhesion, and different others to improve the elasticity and wear resistance of the coating.
Therefore, it is sometimes more convenient to use it, and the flowing process takes less time. Also liquid industrial wax wheel. After applying the melted wax, the surfaces of different color shades are obtained. From brown and bronze to mahagony and black wood - for every taste.
Prepare at home the composition for the coating, ideal on the consistency, on the first attempt under the power of experienced masters, beginners will have to experiment. Therefore, ready-made industrial forms are more convenient for beginners.

Applying liquid wax

Apply a liquid wax on the product is more convenient to a rigid brush, especially if we are talking about embossed decorative elements. A new brush before first use must be cleaned - remove extra hairs that are poorly fixed and immediately will be on the surface, which will not decorate the coating. The most suitable brushes are made of natural bristles, brushes for oil painting are suitable. Special brushes for liquid wax are also presented on the market. They are distinguished from ordinary brushes typidated at the ends of the pile.
On a new product from a tree, liquid wax of its own preparation is applied in one layer. After that, the wooden surface is left at a minimum for at least 1 hour. After the composition absorbed, its surplus is removed by a piece of pure cloth. Otherwise, fat divorces may remain on the surface. For these purposes, any no darous soft fabric is suitable, even a waffle towel. The result is a beautiful noble matte surface, a natural tree texture becomes manifested. If you wish, you can apply another layer of wax, after which it is possible to polish the product with a cloth or a thin metal wire. In this case, the surface will acquire a characteristic shine. For the second layer, it takes quite a bit of composition, since the main part has already absorbed into the pores of the wood.

Preparation of the surface before applying liquid wax

If the wooden product is not new, but we are talking, for example, about the restoration, the surface before applying the liquid wax should be thoroughly prepared.
To begin with, remove the old varnish or polishing. This uses a solvent. One-time processing will not be enough, the procedure is repeated several times until the old varnish is completely removed. The residues are neatly flushed with warm water, the most unsuitable solvent plots are wiping with sandpaper.
After that, the tree rubbed the rigid brush to remove the old coating even from the pores and furrows.
After drying, the product transfers to the final phase of preparation. Shucing a tree with a sharp joinery knife - cycles or sandpaper. All manipulations produce strictly in the direction of wood fibers. And the protruding fibers should not be left - everything is cut and stitched. As a result, the perfectly smooth matte surface should turn out, now the tree is ready for processing with liquid wax.
The further application procedure is the same as in the case of a new surface - cloth or brush, one or two layers, in the direction of fibers.

Application of liquid wax industrial production

Ready industrial forms of liquid wax are applied in accordance with the instructions on the package. Manufacturers include various substances affecting the drying rate. There are funds that, after applying the first layer, it is not recommended to leave on the surface longer than 10 minutes, after which you should immediately wipe the cloth to remove the overcoat. Some formulations are not absorbed longer.

Some manufacturers offer liquid wax in the form of spray. In composition, it does not differ from the analogues applied with a brush, but is produced in the form of a spray bottle. It is enough to shake the balloon, and apply the composition to the surface from a distance of 25 cm. After some time, rub a piece of soft tissue, evenly distributing the coating. After drying, the product can be polished until desire. The liquid wax in the form of spray is produced as colorless and apparatus.

In any case, it is always worth performing a trial painting of a small area before proceeding to the processing of the entire surface of the product.
According to the safety technique, all materials impregnated with liquid wax in the process of work, such as rags, sponges should be disposed of, or stored in airproof containers. He is not self-turn, but a fuel. The room during and after work should be ventilated.

Features of the operation of vigors

With all the advantages of wood processing method with liquid wax, it should be remembered that the wax is a material sensitive to high temperatures. Under their impact he "floats." Therefore, it is necessary to take into account the features of the room in which future furniture or wood products will be used. Although the heat resistance of some modern industrial samples of liquid wax reaches 100 0c. However, you should not handle Wax workers kitchen surfaces. If the negligence shed hot or put the heated dishes, traces will remain. Delete which will be able only to repeat.

The wax is not compatible with the means containing alcohol. When choosing a means of care for waxed furniture, you should carefully read the composition and instructions. In general, it is enough to simply wipe with a dry soft cloth, and to eliminate contaminants or removing fingerprints from time to time to use special cleaners with a mandatory mark "for wax surfaces".

In compliance with the technology of application and proper care, the coating of wood products from wood with liquid wax will ensure a long service life and a noble appearance.

So that the tree does not deteriorate and over time did not lose its appearance, it is necessary to use oil or wax for wood. Their properties suggest protection against external influences.

Wax apply not only in medicine, cosmetology, but also in industry. Beeswax consists of esters, fatty acids, hydrocarbons that have a good water repellence property. When heated to +20 degrees, the density of the substance decreases. His color does not affect properties.

The best quality waxes:

 • fire resistance;
 • strengthening wood;
 • moisture protection;
 • improvement of the appearance of the material;
 • moisture-repellent;
 • brilliant appearance.

Wasch wood processing solution can be made independently or buy a ready-made tool in the store.

Previously, a wax dissolved in turpentar was used as a processing composition. This is a reliable tool, but it has a serious drawback - the turpentine smells unpleasantly. It is finally disrupted by his smell of about two years.

After the material is processed by wax, the appearance is transformed, small scratches are maintained, an original shine appears.

Waxing impregnation for wood is an important element, as it makes it possible to prevent rotting, burning and fungal formations. The wax is considered the best tool for protection against chemical and other impacts on wood. Thanks to its protective properties, the tree does not lose its kind and for a long time saves the structure and drawing. The surface becomes velvety and pleasant to the touch.

Materials for a fear

Wood's spell is considered one of the best ways to process surfaces. Such protection is quite reliable and inexpensive. You can find a colored wax that allows you to add a tree the desired color. Any wood can be impregnated with wax. For high-quality wood processing, you must purchase:

 • sandpaper;
 • wax;
 • solvent;
 • rigid brush;
 • cloth;
 • tassel.

Wood fibers are quiet over time, so this impregnation will perfectly retain the product and will not give external factors to influence it.

Fracture process

How to treat tree wax? Let us give detailed instructions:

 1. It is necessary to get rid of the old coating, removing the residues of the solvent, after which it is to get rid of the residual substances with warm water. If large slices of old lacquer remained, it is necessary to remove them with a joiner's knife and polish sandpaper. To get rid of the varnish from the gaps, you need to walk several times on the surface of the hard brushes. After all the procedures, the surface will become even and smooth, ready to hold.
 2. The wax must be applied only on a dry surface using a special cloth. At the beginning it is necessary to process a flat surface, after which it is necessary to switch to slots, angles and other elements. You can use a tassel. Proper impregnation is made along the fibers.
 3. After the process is completed, it is necessary to give an hour for drying. When the wax is completely absorbed, the surplus is cleaned with the help of a rag. It is necessary to ensure that the wax penetrates into all the slots and hard-to-reach areas. This will give strength and durability. To get the gloss effect, process the wood you need twice. If the film begins to form, it is necessary to use a tough brush.

It should be remembered that the work should be done carefully so as not to damage the product. Impregnation will give the opportunity to climb the wood in a new way, protects from external factors, give shine.

The spelling process itself does not require special knowledge, however, the algorithm of actions must be observed, otherwise the effect will not be seen. Hanging furniture, applying such a method, is almost unreal. The wave of a tree not only retains its properties for a long time, but also gives the corresponding view. External factors are less influenced by its integrity, which allows not worrying for the service life of the product.

In rare cases, shellah varnish is added to the wax coating. It is able to consolidate the result and give shine.

Any wooden surface need protection. In order to keep the form for a long time, the furniture is covered with wax or solutions, which includes it. If you want not only to protect furniture, but also give her another shade, use colored wax.

It should be remembered about the properties of wax when heated. High temperature destructively affects waxed furniture. Traces from a conventional mug will have to be removed with the use of polishing. Do not use such a method of care of furniture located in the kitchen. Even the ordinary hot mug will be able to harm and spoil the table. Only when observing caution measures, you can extend the life of such a coating. Otherwise, the primordial appearance will be lost.

It is best to apply such furniture in the bedroom, a room or a bath. Wood impregnated with special composition is growing and becomes resistant to external conditions. This allows furniture to serve for a very long time. In order for the decor to please many years, it is necessary to constantly monitor its condition and put in order.

It is necessary to avoid contact with alcohol and elevated temperatures, as well as try not to leave scratches, as you have to perform a coating procedure to wax again.

Application of wax mastic

Wax mastic is applied not only on the furniture, but also on the parquet floor. It should be grinding vertically relative to the fibers. There are several types of impregnation mixtures:

 • pasty;
 • creamy;
 • oil.

Article on the topic: Advantages of impregnation for laminate
