1. Decoration in a marine style

To create a unique nautical-style jewelry, you will need a small plastic or glass bottle, which should be filled with plain water and seabed attributes: sand, shells, large pearl-like beads, coins, shiny beads and glass shards. Plastic bottles are considered to be garbage and sent to the appropriate places - trash cans and landfills. But in the right, creative hands, these things can sparkle with new colors. And you don't have to be a master to breathe a second life into ordinary plastic. You just need to have a little patience and imagination.

Crafts are quite simple and everyone can do such things with their own hands. Or maybe for someone this business will become a real hobby.

Useful things from garbage

Plastic bottles come in different shapes. They are also different in color and size. Therefore, it is quite possible to make small decor items for the garden plot from them. And for a summer residence, plastic furniture or even a summer gazebo built from the same plastic utensils is quite suitable.

And even caps from plastic bottles in skillful hands can turn into real masterpieces - mosaics on the walls, a hot stand, cute toys for a child and other useful little things.

Everyone can make this or that little thing. This is where fantasy plays the main role. After all, the material for making crafts is almost everywhere. They can be found in the park, on lawns, near the river and in landfills.

And by collecting them for his creativity, a person thereby purifies nature from harmful things. After all, plastic today has become a real disaster that threatens the environment. This material is durable, so the constructed crafts from plastic bottles will serve and delight for a long time.

Where to begin

In every decision, the main thing is a plan of action. In order to start working on the craft, you will need the following:

  • a detailed description and photo of crafts from plastic bottles or one separate craft to choose from;
  • bottles of suitable sizes and colors;
  • additional materials and tools that may come in handy: a knife, scissors, adhesive tape, glue, paint, fabrics, etc.

Then you just need to be patient and follow the instructions. And soon the children will enjoy the new fabulous playground, the guests will be happy to spend time in the “almost crystal” gazebo, and the hostess will appreciate the unusual practical appliances in the kitchen.

Boxes

You can make an excellent box from plastic bottles, in which it will be convenient to store various little things: hair ties, buttons, paper clips. To do this, you will need two lower parts of plastic bottles of the same size. They are interconnected by a zipper, which is sewn along the edges.

Or a simpler option is to cut off the top of the bottle in the place where it begins to narrow. The container is ready. It remains to decorate the bottle with decorative ribbon, buttons and beads. They are glued on. Sew a cap from the fabric, which is tightened with a cord and glue it to the edge of the container in the same way.

And it’s not at all difficult to make a convenient and original sandwich container that you won’t be ashamed to take to school or work. The main thing is to decorate it with a plan. And it is done in just a few steps.

The bathroom also has a place for a plastic box in which you can put all the necessary accessories: toothpastes and brushes, washcloths and shampoos. If these boxes are hung on the wall one above the other, then you can free up space.

Plastic bottles can make an unusual stand for pencils and pens. It is enough to cut it in a circle in the shape of a muzzle of a cat or an owl and paint it. In the same technique, a vase for flowers is made. Only for its stability, a handful of small pebbles should be poured onto the bottom.

Playground toys and decorations

To decorate playgrounds, decorations are made in the form of plants, animals and even insects.

For a palm tree, you need about 15 brown bottles, from which the trunk of a palm tree is made, and 7-10 green bottles for leaves. The barrel is assembled from bottles cut across, stringing them on a frame made of a strong rod.

To create leaves, green bottles need to be cut lengthwise, forming the desired shape. To make longer leaves, you need to attach an additional one to the main sheet using a stapler.

You can decorate your garden plot even in winter. Funny penguins in colorful hats and scarves will cheer you up on a cold winter day. You can make penguins of different sizes. For one bird, you need two identical bottles that have a "waist" at the bottom.

This bottle needs to be cut in half. This will be the body of the penguin. At the second bottle, you only need to cut off the bottom with a small margin - these are the legs. Connect the two parts with a glue gun, paint. Make a pom-pom out of wool and a scarf out of a strip of fabric.

Such crafts are not stable, since plastic is a very light material. In order for the penguins to stand quietly in the chosen place, they must be filled with sand or small pebbles before gluing the parts.

Even plastic lids in skillful hands turn into cute ladybugs. You just need to color them accordingly and stick funny eyes.

If the plastic lids are connected to each other by the edges in the form of a small circle, then you get an original stand for a hot pot or kettle. Such a device is useful in the kitchen.

Flowers and plastic bottles

Flower beds can also be decorated in an original way with plastic bottles. If you take the lower parts of the bottles, paint them in different colors and stick them into the ground next to each other, you can create a flower bed that will “bloom” all year round.

The tops of bottles with caps can also be used as flower pots. They are not stable, but in the form of flower pots they will look fabulous.

From plastic bottles with a volume of 3-5 liters, you get a bright flower bed-train. In each bottle, you need to cut one side part. Paint in different colors. Fill the bottles with earth, transplant garden undersized flowers into them. Lay them horizontally and lean against each other, creating wagons.

Furniture and buildings

The construction of a summer gazebo will require more costs and effort. After all, for construction, you will first need to make a frame of wood or metal. The walls are built from whole bottles, which are strung on a wire or rod.

First, a hole is made in the bottom of the bottle, the cap is unscrewed. A rod with strung bottles is attached to the frame in a horizontal or vertical position.

With the help of bottles, you can create a sofa, armchair, ottoman. Here you must first make separate blocks: seat, armrests, backrest. Then connect them, according to the design. Blocks are best made from 2-liter identical bottles.

On the top of the bottle (where the cap is) you need to put on the bottom of another bottle so that the bottom of the bottle is on both sides. All bottles, blocks are attached to each other with adhesive tape. To make the seat soft - you need a foam block of a suitable size. Sew a cover according to the size of the furniture.

Helpful Hints

Products made of plastic are used everywhere, as they require less investment to create than products made from other materials.

However, discarded plastic can take hundreds or even thousands of years to decompose, which is why it is very important to recycle it or refuse plastic altogether.

The second option is very difficult to implement today, so recycling comes to the fore. Plastic can be given to special recycling plants, or you can make useful things out of it.

In this collection, you will learn how to make various useful things for your home and garden from plastic bottles.

1. Do-it-yourself ottoman from plastic bottles step by step

You will need:

Plastic bottles

Foam rubber

Knitting needles

6. Plastic bottle feeder for a cat or dog

There are many ways to make bird feeders, but this bird feeder is designed for cats and dogs.

You will need:

2 large plastic bottles

Scissors

1. In the middle of one bottle, you need to make holes slightly larger than the neck of another bottle.

2. The second bottle must be cut in half across.

3. Fill the bottom with food.

4. Connect the parts and open the cover.

7. Vase for sweets: a master class crafts from plastic bottles

You will need:

Record, round plastic or thick cardboard

6 two-liter plastic bottles

Wooden or plastic rod (you can use an even branch of a suitable diameter and length)

Super glue

Spray paint and glitter (optional)

1. We make the basis for crafts. To do this, you need a plate, ceramic or glass plate. In the middle of the plate, you need to increase the hole to 10 mm with a drill.

2. The drill will also need to make holes in the center of the three plastic bottle pieces you will be using. It's easier to drill from the inside out.

3. Cut off the bottom of each of the 6 plastic bottles. Put 3 parts on the rod and secure with glue. Glue the remaining parts to the base (plate) around the rod. If desired, you can paint everything with spray paint.

It is worth noting that the rod is held on the base thanks to the plastic part, which is glued to the plate, as well as to the rod itself.

4. If you wish, you can decorate your vase.

10. Modular boxes: a description of crafts from plastic bottles

You will need:

Several large plastic bottles or canisters

Stationery knife

Scissors

Marker or pencil

Strong thread.

1. Use a utility knife and/or scissors to cut a suitable hole from a bottle or canister. It shouldn't be too small for everything to fit, or too big for the plastic structure to fall apart.

2. Start connecting the bottles with a strong thread. Start with two, then add two more already connected to them, and so on. Tie strong knots. You can also try using hot glue or super glue (Moment glue).

3. Assemble the design that is convenient for you. You decide how many rows and "floors" to make. However, it is worth knowing that the higher the design, the less stable it is. You may need to once again secure the entire structure with a rope.

13. Jewelry will be safe thanks to a couple of plastic bottles.

We tear off, wash stickers and labels.
Sometimes they are so sticky that you have to use acetone solvents, etc.

take a VERY soft pencil - I have 8V, not just a simple one, but for artistic drawing

Draw a line along which we will cut:
this is a side view

this is the front view

take a sharp knife

Carefully cut along the drawn line

We cut any irregularities with scissors

now we need to refresh ourselves.
We drank ayranchik, washed the bottles - they are pretty, right?

Cut off the neck and bottom

found a stapler and a hole punch in the desk drawer (one hole is more convenient)

we fastened the cylinders cut from ayran bottles together with a stapler

artistically perforated the edge of our .... what comes out...

put ours inside .... Well, what happened before...
We don’t attach it to the base - it’s more convenient - if anything, you can get it, wash it, shake it out, etc.
the design is soft and flexible - it is more convenient to stuff all sorts of differences than in hard hard glasses

similarly - with a white bottle of bleach

And - voila!!!
convenient cups-organizers for all sorts of sewing-knitting-art tools!

But here's the problem!
What an interesting design!

I thought about it.... Trimmed a little more...

And even hooked her to the handle of the kitchen drawer ....

ATTENTION! Question:
and what else would be useful to figure out from all that is left?! :))

And you think that's it?…. No, that's not all….

Now we will put things in order in the utility closet with larger tools (perhaps not our own, but my husband's ... But - who has it like ....).
This time, we are VERY sorry to throw away the large bottles of PERWOLL washing gel (not a bad product, by the way. I like it).
They come in 3 types: for black, for white and for colored linen. I especially like the bottle for color - I have a weakness for all shades of turquoise ... 😉
But let's get started:

We wash off all labels using various solvents (see part 1)

Draw a cutting line for everything superfluous

view from the other side

and on the other

cut with a sharp knife, similar to what was done in part 1.

and this one too

that's what happened.
Irregularities cut with scissors

NOW we stuff there hacksaws, hammers, pliers (this is in one), glues, solvents, other chemicals in bottles and vials (in another)

And everything else - in the third!

And we put it on a shelf in a utility closet - beautiful and convenient: I took it by the handle, pulled it out of the closet - and use the set of what is in this organizer bottle!!!

And the rest... use as a scoop for the earth when transplanting indoor plants.
Well, who needs it - and for the cat litter;)).

And I take the bottle cap to my colleagues in the disease - they use it to decorate candy bouquets

Well, they also comforted the soul by the fact that they didn’t throw away beautiful bottles, but adapted them to work.

And at the same time, nature was saved from littering.

I still have large plastic bottles of laundry gels released ....
Here is a list of materials and tools. We will need:
- a plastic canister from some detergents (for dishes, laundry, etc.)
- primer (suitable for plastic) and white acrylic enamel
- paper napkin with a beautiful plot
- decoupage glue and acrylic varnish
- soft pencil, scissors, knife, brushes or sponge for applying paint, glue and varnish
- thick and soft threads or a rope, or you can use some kind of braid.

I use just such a canister - about 5-6 liters in volume. It contained dishwashing liquid - inexpensive from the Polish Auchan.

I cut off the top in a rough way, outline the shape of the upper edge. I use a very soft art pencil - it draws well on plastic (I wrote more about it in one of my previous MKs on this topic).

cut off the top edge along the marked line

I outline future pens

cut holes for handles

that's what happens.
Then I thoroughly wash the future basket - from the remnants of labels and other contaminants, degrease the entire surface and prime it with a primer from their hardware store (I used a special primer with super-adhesive properties - for plastic, metal and other non-absorbent materials). I don’t give a photo, because. I bought it several years ago, the assortment in stores in different cities and countries is different and changes over time. I think that some similar primer can be found. On top of the primer - a layer of acrylic enamel (also construction, for metal and plastic).

and then - decoupage: a napkin with a bouquet. I transferred it to a canister using a file (I think decoupagers know this technology and it makes no sense to describe it in detail). Two identical bouquets - one on each side. After the glue had dried, I applied 2 layers of acrylic semi-gloss varnish.

I was afraid that the paint would peel off on the handles - I wrapped it with synthetic thick threads. I wish it was lighter, but I used what I had on hand.

That's the whole wisdom - in my opinion, it turned out pretty.

I use a knitting basket - the balls from it are well unwound.
