The frame arc folding mechanism (hub) is made of aluminum alloy. Cast aluminum "hub" with high rigidity has a fairly high brittleness, which is fraught with breakage of this element under increased loads. In order to maximize the strength of this "hub", it was decided to combine the material of manufacture. The upper part of the "hub", which bears the maximum load, is reinforced with a 3.0 mm steel plate, this combination creates the maximum effect of rigidity and strength.

How to upgrade the first version of the LOTOS Cube Professional tent? (production until 02.2015)


A feature of all improvements is the full compatibility of the updated elements with the first model of 2014. This allows users who bought the first version to replace the necessary components, while the cost of all replaced elements will not be more than the difference in cost between the upgraded LOTOS Cube Professional M and the first basic version 2014.


In order to replace the “tube 12 mm with spring” element with a new “tube 14 mm with spring” it is necessary:

  • Remove the old tube from the awning. To do this, you first need to pull the rod out of the tube as shown in the video. Then disconnect the tube from the tent by drilling or cutting off (with wire cutters) the riveting holding the tube in the tent sleeve.

  • Attach the new tube to the tarpaulin sleeve with a wire shackle attached to the tube. In this case, the tube must be inserted into the sleeve of the awning as far as it will go.

In order to strengthen the “hubs”, it is enough to fix the plate as shown in Figure No. 3.
When installing the plate on the "hub", it is necessary to press it very tightly against the surface of the "hub" with a fixing nut. There should be no gap between the plate and the "hub". To securely fix the nut, it is recommended to use a second lock nut.

Suitable for use with pipes with an outside diameter of 10 to 60 mm. There are one-sided and two-sided spring-loaded snap fasteners.

Spring push buttons can be made, depending on the environment of their further use, either from structural spring steel with a nickel plating coating, or from stainless steel. At the same time, stainless steel spring buttons must be used in products that will come into contact with sea water - oars, yacht masts, etc. In all other cases, it is recommended to use spring steel fasteners.
