A married couple with two children rented this small apartment from relatives. However, she did not dare to move in right away. At first, the customers wanted to completely redo the dwelling, and in some parts to redraw it. They asked the designer Alexei Bereznyak to create a layout that would give each of the four family members a personal space. In particular, it was necessary to separate the bedrooms of parents and children, as well as organize a place for receiving guests. In addition, Alexei had to provide for a large number of storage places.

For himself, Alexey called this design project "Real Illusion". After all, it was necessary to force everyone around to consider this apartment spacious! To cope with the task, the designer decided to move the hallway outside the apartment and organize it on the staircase. "This allowed us to create a comfortable kitchen-living room area where all family members and frequent guests who now do not want to leave can gather."

Previously, there was an entrance hall - in the far left corner there is an entrance door. Now this place has turned into a reception area.
Alexey hung a mirror on the wall behind the sofa to get rid of the feeling of a confined space, and painted all surfaces white. This technique also helps to visually enlarge the area of the room.

The place where the oval table now stands was previously occupied by a storage room. Getting to work, Alexey decided to dismantle the partitions and give the space a new functional purpose. This is how a full-fledged dining area appeared here.
The designer admits that at first he doubted the need for brickwork - today this technique can be found in almost every interior. “But we found a way out and introduced it very gently and unobtrusively,” says the author. “The wall was decorated with ordinary putty, and then covered with a special coating so that it would not get dirty.”
“Every detail in this interior is important to neutralize the feeling of a small space, you want to look at these details for a long time, you want to consider them,” notes Alexey.
There is a small kitchen to the right of the dining room. The kitchen furniture and dining group have been inherited into the new interior. Alexei managed to fill in these items.
The couple wanted the interior of the apartment to be made in a Scandinavian style, and mostly natural materials were used. The designer approached this request with particular interest and introduced many elements from the wood already in use. Alexey found them and restored them himself.
From such boards, not only various shelves were created, but also a mirror frame, a headboard in the bedroom of the spouses.
“Any object to which a person’s soul and hands are attached will be self-sufficient and expressive,” the author of the project believes. - For example, all the old boards have traveled 500 km to get to the center of the capital and find a new life. The former owners dismantled them from the barns with a fifty-year history, after which, here in Moscow, they were cleaned and covered with oils. "

The designer gave the lightest half of the apartment to the bedrooms. In the parents' room, Alexey made a podium for the bed. Inside there are two spacious drawers for storing bed linen.
Here, as in the living room, the author of the project actively used white. It seems that it is present in everything: the decoration of the ceiling, walls, even the floor, in textiles and furniture. Alexey explains that this shade helps to create the illusion of a large space, which is so necessary for the "odnushka".
Against a snow-white background, one of the brightest accents is the restored planks at the head of the bed. But the author decided not to dwell on this and strengthened the effect of habitation at the expense of furniture: a wardrobe with shabby panels, a figured mirror and a matching chest of drawers - everything creates a feeling of warmth, comfort and good memories.
On the one hand, it may seem that there is too much furniture in the room, even though the white color hides the bulkiness. But on the other hand, it is worth remembering the requirement of customers who insisted on creating as many storage spaces as possible. Alexey concentrated them in the bedrooms, leaving the living room and dining room free.

This "odnushka" with an area of 43 sq.m. located in a Stalinist building and was supposed to be rented out. Project designer Daria Nazarenko decided to move away from the universal design typical for this type of real estate and created an interior with individual features. Small details, such as panels or patterned textiles, reflect the tastes of the hostess, turning into bright accents against the background of restrained finishes.
Naturally, one of the main tasks was to save precious square meters, of which there are so few in the apartment. All partitions were dismantled, transforming the space into a kind of studio.
Multifunctional furniture played an important role. So, in the middle of the room there is an object that simultaneously serves as a table, a console behind the sofa and a small partition that smoothly divides the room. The spacious bed was built into a special niche, and the bathroom was hidden behind a sliding door.

The designers from the Novosibirsk studio Artugol managed to combine in a small one-room apartment with an area of 40 sq.m. rationality, individuality and aesthetics, decorating it all with notes of brutality.

The customers wanted to transform this small one-room apartment of 40 sq.m. into a modern apartment filled with lightness and air. Oksana Tsymbalova from the "House of the Sun" studio worked on the project, who managed to embody all the smallest nuances in the interior.
The dwelling consists of a bedroom, living room, kitchen, small dining room, bathroom and ample storage space. To achieve this result, the designer took the principle of functionality as a basis, using every square meter, while maintaining the same desired space and lightness.
After the redevelopment, a small utility block appeared in the apartment, which was created by increasing the bathroom and moving the door.
The kitchen area includes a corner kitchen. To save space, the furniture creates a single line, leaving free space. The height of the ceilings made it possible to organize storage space at the full height of the walls. At the same time, stylistic unity and light colors smooth out all the corners, leveling the clutter.
In the bedroom area there is a workplace, which is separated from the living room by a wooden partition with an interesting texture.
