You can also use nuts, spices, coffee beans, dried fruits, and even salt dough. Artificial fruits and vegetables are also ideal as a material.

To create a product, you need to prepare:

  • universal glue;
  • frame;
  • hard cardboard;
  • piece of burlap.

First you need to prepare the basis and you can get to work. If you do not know what exactly to depict in your picture, look on the Internet for a photo of how to make a panel.

Photopanel for the bedroom

The wall of the room in which you spend half your time can be decorated with family photos, creating a collage from them. Let's start studying the instructions on how to make a panel for the bedroom.

It will be appropriate for the product to use pictures with which you are associated with good memories. Or take your best photographs taken throughout your life and post them on the wall in chronological order.

To create a collage, you need to prepare:

  • several frames for images of the same or different sizes;
  • universal glue;
  • photos.

Inserting images into photo frames is not difficult, anyone can do it. Next, glue the frames to the wall and the panel is ready. Your product can be supplemented with memorabilia, inscriptions, ribbons or handprints.

A photo collage can decorate not only the wall of the bedroom, but also the living room. Moreover, to create it, it is not necessary to prepare the same framework. They can be round or square, with completely different sizes and shapes.

Wallpaper panel

After renovations, pieces of wallpaper always remain in the house. Housewives are used to not throwing them away to use in the future. This day has come, the wallpaper will be useful for creating panels. They can be glued to the entire wall on top of other wallpapers and used as a base if they are plain and without a pattern. On top of them, the owners will be able to dream up, draw some kind of abstraction, or simply make multi-colored stripes.

Wallpaper with patterns can be placed in a large frame, thus making the original picture. If you have a huge number of different pieces of wallpaper, cut out small identical squares from them and stick them on the wall in a nursery or any other room.

Panel of buttons

There is another great option for creating original wall decorations. For it we need to find:

  • buttons;
  • frame;
  • cardboard or a piece of wallpaper without a pattern;
  • pencil;
  • glue.

First you need to make a drawing, and then the basis of the product. We take a pencil and draw something. For example, an animal or a tree. If you can't draw, use stencils. You can also print the drawing on a printer.

We attach cardboard or wallpaper with an image to the frame with glue. Next, glue the buttons on top of the drawing and the original decoration on the wall is ready.

Panel of threads and nails

Using thread and nails, you can make a beautiful and unique painting that will decorate any wall in your home. To create this product, you should prepare:

  • wooden board for the base;
  • multi-colored threads;
  • small nails;
  • stencil drawing (drawn by yourself or printed from the Internet);
  • scissors;
  • hammer.

We cut out the stencil and attach it to the base with tape. We will remove it when the last nail is hammered. Further along the contour of the picture we drive in nails. We tie a thread to one of them and wind it. You can wind in zigzags, lines or create your own pattern. The main thing is that in the end the thread is wound evenly everywhere.

We have introduced you to the basic ideas for creating an original and modern wall decoration. After reviewing the information and learning what a panel is, you can make your own product from everything that is at hand.

The main types and options for the location of kitchen paintings

A faceless kitchen set will come to life if you add panels to its facades. Decorative wall panels can be made from materials of natural origin, as well as from artificial ones. Both kinds are acceptable for genres known as:

  • still life,
  • landscape,
  • portrait,
  • animal world.

According to the artistic form, contour graphic drawings, tonal, pictorial, relief and high relief (semi-volumetric) are distinguished.

Decor for different styles (Provence, modern, high-tech)

    Save

In the loft style, collections of coffee grinders, beer cans, steel lids, and other brightly colored urban garbage are appropriate. For the integrity of the collection they whiten with aerosols, silver.

Art Nouveau is prone to bright colors among black. Particularly suitable are curvilinear mosaics, beads, buttonholes on velvet, small golden details. Example: a mosaic from a disassembled alarm clock.

Hi-tech is necessarily metal, imitation of metal is possible. The mysterious spark on the surfaces is a reminder of the boundless space.

    Save

Folk without garlic, pepper, onion garlands is impossible to imagine. And also stocks of pots under rags entwined with cords. Shelves made of deliberately cracked wood - littered, full.

Provence - the same folk, but with a protrusion of overseas wealth: pepper, saffron, poppy, nutmeg. The gifts of India are laid out in jars, they smell, provoking culinary masterpieces. The shapes of glass containers are especially important.

The above is nothing more than motifs of still lifes within frames, without them, on cutting boards, saw cuts of wood, inside a grid of flattened shelves, where each section is a bin.

Master class: making panels for the kitchen with your own hands (photo)

We start with a small master class.

    Save

You will need:

  • dried gifts of nature, the remains of blanks,
  • corrugated cardboard,
  • metal ruler,
  • dry remnant,
  • PVA glue,
  • burlap or linen canvas,
  • plywood board.

Let's start creating the plaque. We pour orange peels, grains, spikelets, dry peppers, nutshells on the table - everything that is prudently preserved and dried. We give the cardboard under the ruler the shape of a square.

    Save

We make a dragonfly. The body is a chain of beans, wings are made of lavrushka, beady eyes and paws are made of dill stalks. We paste over the square of cardboard with matting, we throw the composition with strokes of dry soap. Glue is squeezed out with thick veins. We press the laid out mosaic with books. Dries for days.

After 5-10 such exercises, the flair for the material comes, the idea of a large composition matures. But the first experiments should not be thrown away. Squares with moths, flowers, birds are collected as a sectional wall panel.

Wall panel-picture from an eggshell

    Save

The tradition has its roots in medieval Japan. Quail eggs, storks, and, of course, chickens were used. This is our excess. The shells (white and beige are collected separately) are washed through a colander and dried.

Crushed shells are used as background. Large plates lay out the forming elements of the image. The motive "Fuji" and "peonies" are also from the land of the rising sun. In the first case, a mountain under a cloud is created on a glue drawing using the “sprinkling” method. In the second case, you need to put a photo of a flower in front of you and, starting from the center, lay small pieces, picking up, as in a mosaic, the coincidence of contours, expanding the flower to the desired size.

    Save

All you need is tweezers, PVA glue, a glue brush. With a stick, an awl, the end of the shell brush is moved along the glue that has not yet dried. The pieces are carefully pressed with a dry calico napkin.

The cellular structure of the image is akin to a cobbled stone on an old street, where there is a bridge, mountains, a distant castle, bushy thickets, thunderclouds...

Alternating backfilling and laying with the selection of contours, mosaics are created that decorate the home interior. Shiny from baguette frames, tinted only with black, colored, lacquered with acrylic for durability, impregnated with only one building primer, in silvery decoupage - they delight without acquiring expensive materials. So you can beautifully decorate the countertop of a coffee table. The final cycle is pouring with acrylic varnish.

Decorative panel of prints of fruits and vegetables

The work of the English craftswoman Rachel Dane is magic. Since 2012, her work has been bought by flower shops. It began with the fact that she wanted to get prints of freshly picked flowers on rolled clay.

In a frame with a padded fiberboard bottom, Rachel placed a rolled clay pancake. She laid raw wild flowers, spread the inflorescences. Laid covered with soapy water. Then she cut the old ball, poured a third of the water into the resulting container, added gypsum, stirring quickly. The mass was poured into a box on clay.

    Save

The removed gypsum ingot turned out to be beautiful, but the artist decided to turn it to the original one - that is, to get a relief. Again soaping, pouring. She came up with the idea of tinting the reliefs, applied the tone with liquid paint, then lightly wiped the paint layer in a damp way (decoupage).

It is easier to work with slices of apples, stamps from potatoes on a layer of flour and salt, mixed in a ratio of 3: 1. Such plaques clogged with stamps dry for a week, and then retain their shape without baking.

Even easier when acrylic paint on paper. Pressed dill inflorescences are blown out of the spray can, a scattering of coins - a background is obtained. Sinuous leaves, poppy cups are imprinted from above. Acrylic glitters beautifully. Under glass, in a passe-partout - on the wall!

Images and inscriptions with threads on the wall (nails + threads)

You need a solid wooden or plywood board, shoe (preferably bronze furniture) nails, multi-colored threads.

    Save

We make the first plaque as simple as possible:

  • We beat the square around the perimeter, stepping back from the edge 2 cm. We do not drive in completely, with one blow, but so that the carnation does not stagger.
  • We tie the thread around the corner nail, pull it to the opposite diagonally, and so on in a circle. A stereometric star forms in the center.

    Save

Sailboats, northern lights, flashes of new stars are good in this technique - especially when the threads are multi-colored, embroidery.

Without a clear order, motifs are trees, leaves, inscriptions with greetings.

For inscriptions, it is appropriate to make a stencil, where each letter is verified. Then the paper is simply punched through, then torn off.

From the dried planks we create openwork "beards". They, like the edges of napkins, hang perpendicular to the surfaces.

The plate is clamped in a vise. According to the drawing outlined in pencil, an ornate contour is cut through with hammer blows on the chisel. Holes are possible - with them the wooden lace is airier.

We lay out the gilded anise stars, the bases of the cones, and the juniper “legs” by adding satin bows and beads. Get a New Year's souvenir.

Combination of dried berries and spices

In contour mosaics of cereals, seeds, maple impellers expressive birds, sunrises, landscapes, cityscapes. The board is marked, if necessary, the background color is changed with paints. The same groats can be placed on a plot with a base of a different color, that is, gaps can be used in a common range.

The easiest way:

  • the area is smeared with glue,
  • crumbles into grains
  • the excess is shaken off after drying.

In the picture “Vase with sweets”, the table and bowl are bulk. Chestnuts, nutshells, seeds, saffron tubes are attached with a hot glue gun. It costs nothing, but is needed for creativity. In addition, sets of gold, black, transparent, mother-of-pearl inlays are sold. Such stained-glass windows can be painted on glass.

Cork is easily cut with a clerical knife. Cross cuts form circles, longitudinal cuts form straws and "chips" for petals, leaves, feathers of the future image. We crumble the rest: a good backfill for the background.

We frame the kitchen plaquette with a cork:

  1. We cut several corks with a knife;
  2. We lay the plywood on the glue along the perimeter, alternating 2 pcs. horizontally, 2 - vertically;
  3. Another way: alternating two rows for brickwork.

    Glue a piece of burlap onto the plywood. You can chintz by dipping it in liquid PVA completely. We outline the contours of the cup, saucer, the inscription "Coffe". We sprinkle the contours with thick glue, covering the environment with a paper stencil. We use buttons for fastening. The remaining mosaic elements are attached with nitrocellulose glue or a thermal gun.

    Volumetric decoupage allows a combination of quilling, planar backgrounds, layout, applications, mosaic layouts. Decoupage effects:
    • Craquelure- special compounds create cracks in aged things,
    • Patination- taken from bronze, when the oxide is cleaned off, but remains in deep places.
    • potal– thin foil, mica plates create the effect of gilding.
    • Toning- created with translucent paints.

The kitchen is probably the most popular room in Russia. There the whole family gathers for a meal, important problems are discussed, everyday tasks are solved. But for a woman, this room is not only a place for eating and communicating with the family, but also a working “study”, so it is very important for her to create a cozy and inviting environment there. You can decorate the kitchen in various ways, but one of the brightest and most original will be a panel.

Figure 1. The panel should harmoniously fit into the interior of the kitchen, it is best if the colors of the frame overlap with other design elements (for example, curtains).

Do-it-yourself panels for the kitchen can be made quite simply, while you can literally create a beautiful picture from improvised and easily accessible materials (Fig. 1). You can make a panel with your own hands in a variety of styles, from different elements and in any range. But it is worth remembering that the image used is best chosen so that it is in harmony with the look of the kitchen, which means not only the color match, but also the content. For example, drawings of marine life, waterfalls and waves are well suited for decorating a bathroom, and for a kitchen, various still lifes, floral ornaments, landscapes and elements that are unique to the kitchen would be the best option. Below we will consider several options for panels in the kitchen.

Panel materials

Figure 2. The hardboard canvas must be carefully primed and allowed to dry.

First you need to decide on the materials that we will need when making a panel with our own hands. Depending on the type of decoration chosen, building materials can vary significantly. There are panels from various old and unnecessary items, from salt dough, pieces of tiles, decoupage based on eggshells and much more. The first proposed option for a do-it-yourself panel for your kitchen will be decoupage. For it you will need:

  • two pieces of hardboard;
  • two types of glue - PVA and decoupage;
  • acrylic primer;
  • eggshell;
  • rice paper;
  • brushes, sponges, clean rags;
  • acrylic paints;
  • file.

Figure 3. For a panel, you can use white and beige eggshells.

But a do-it-yourself panel can also be made in the form of a small picture with various small household items, leaves and plant seeds attached to the background. In this case, you can do:

  • the elements of decoration themselves;
  • a piece of cardboard;
  • decorative nails;
  • glue;
  • double-sided tape, etc.

Decoupage for the kitchen

Figure 4. After spreading the shell, the surface is primed again.

The first step is to prime the hardboard canvas. Acrylic primer is applied with smooth movements with a regular sponge. After the hardboard dries, and this happens very quickly, you should get a work surface as in Figure 2.

The next step is to start the so-called egg crackle. Despite the apparent complexity, it will not be difficult to make it at all, you will spend no more than an hour on each of the boards, but you can create a real decorative panel with your own hands!

It is necessary to apply PVA glue to a surface of 10-15 cm 2, and a piece of shell on it. Using a toothpick, break the shell into fragments that you need, the right size and shape. We advise you to pre-clean the shell from the inner film, otherwise the shell will not adhere well to the base.

Figure 5. After the glue has completely dried, the shell is painted with acrylic paints.

With the same toothpick, stretch the resulting pieces to the places you need. After filling the entire space with the shell, it is necessary to once again cover the entire surface of the future masterpiece with glue. After that, we give time for the resulting surface to dry. And it should turn out approximately what is shown in Figure 3. Choose a shell without any store marks, seals and other formations, only a clean surface can be used.

After the glue dries, you will again have to work with a sponge, it is necessary to apply an acrylic-based primer to the entire surface. Then we dry the hardboard again either with a hair dryer or naturally. A single-color recognizable surface will be obtained.

Now you need to transfer the fragment you need to the hardboard. The drawing can be applied on paper with a printout, napkin or rice paper, the last option is the most suitable. To draw a picture, it is necessary to attach the front part of the paper to the file and moisten it with water, as well as the hardboard blank. After that, carefully take the file and apply it to the hardboard with the side where the paper is located.

The finished panel must be coated with a colorless varnish.

The paper must be carefully leveled, there should not be any wrinkles or bubbles, for this you can use a regular roller. After you make sure that the surface fits perfectly on the hardboard, remove the file. Then we just wait for the paper to dry, and then we cover it either with a special blending glue, or again with PVA. Again, you need to wait until our painting dries. After that, using acrylic paints and contours, we make the necessary changes to the picture, choosing colors and images to our taste. The resulting paintings must be varnished, and preferably in 2-3 layers. If necessary, you can use zero sandpaper for final sanding.

Panel from improvised materials

Burlap and any small kitchen items are used for the panel: cinnamon, pasta, various seeds, bay leaves, etc.

  1. An excellent example of decorating a kitchen can be a panel of ordinary small items that are full in the kitchen: leaves and beans, pasta and plant seeds, cinnamon sticks and coffee grains. The entire list of materials at hand is limited only by your imagination.

To create such a panel, you need to wrap the cardboard with a canvas or even coarse burlap, all the edges of the fabric must be brought beyond the border of the cardboard and well fixed with decorative nails or glue, but you can simply use a frame.

After that, we lay out all the decorative elements on the front of the future panel, choosing the most suitable composition from them. After making sure that everything is arranged properly, attach them to the canvas with glue. After the glue dries, the panel is attached to the wall either using a loop sewn on the back side or other fasteners (in particular, it can be a magnet with which the panel is placed on a metal surface).

Do not rush to throw away old spoons, knives and forks, everything can be used.

That's all, a simple but beautiful panel is ready.

  1. Another option for such a panel is a picture using an empty candy box.

To do this, you need to attach thin slats to the bottom of the box in the order you need, the main thing is that they form cells where you place the selected decorative elements. It is up to you to decide which elements will fill these cells, show your imagination and experiment. Colored rice and other grains, colorful beans, nuts, corks, and even buttons work well.

After that, it is necessary to cover the entire composition with a colorless varnish, which will not only help to better preserve your creation, but also facilitate its care.

The panel can be:

  • in the form of a collage of photographs and drawings;
  • salt dough compositions;
  • dried flower arrangements;
  • cereal compositions;
  • textiles;
  • clay;
  • from wool for felting.

And this is not a complete list of what can be used to create a panel. So, a master class of the simplest panels to perform.

Photo panel

In every house you can find a lot of photos that are either locked in dust in photo albums or are on disks. No one sees them, and the owners of the photographs themselves gradually forget about them. And why not make themed panels that would decorate the house and please the eye? This can be a wonderful memory of a trip or an event.

For the panel, you need to select photographs that are suitable for the topic. And it is not at all necessary that the panel in the kitchen should reflect the theme of the products. It is quite appropriate here and a panel with the theme of the next vacation.

Some photos will look boring. They need to be supplemented with some memorabilia associated with the photo. For example, if these are photos from a vacation spot, then you can use entrance tickets to museums and zoos (they can be very colorful), key chains and flat magnets with them.

As a background, on which photos and all sorts of cute little things are placed, you can use a map of the place of rest. Photos and tickets are placed on it in random order and glued on. Next, the composition is placed in a frame and the panel in the kitchen is ready. This simple master class will help you make such compositions for different rooms.

Volumetric panels - master class

Volumetric panels for the kitchen can be made by hand from textiles, clay, salt dough. In this case, different figures can be molded from clay or salt dough, and then framed, creating a composition. In the same way, figurines can simply be sewn from various fabrics with your own hands, stuffed with holofiber and get very voluminous and decorative panels.

Important: Working with clay is not so easy and requires certain skills. In addition, there is a lot of dirt from clay. Therefore, it is quite possible to replace it with salt dough, which is much easier to work with. It is as plastic as clay, but it is molded much easier and does not leave any dirt.

In order to make a wall panel from salt dough, you will need flour, salt, fantasy and a frame.

The plastic mass of salt dough is made as follows:

  • mix a glass of flour and a glass of finely ground salt.
  • add 100 g of water;
  • add a tablespoon of vegetable oil.

Instead of water, you can use a paste - add a tablespoon of starch to a glass of water, bring to a boil and cook until thickened. Such a do-it-yourself paste will make the dough more plastic.

Figures can be formed from salt dough. A panel with cheerful villagers, figurines of dishes and vegetables will look good in the kitchen. Do-it-yourself figurines must be baked in the oven, like regular dough. You can not burn, but just leave to dry. After firing, the figurines are painted.

We recommend using a frame as the basis for the panel. A piece of fabric that matches the color can be placed in the frame as a background. For example, if figures from salt dough should be against the sky, then you can use blue fabric. Figures from salt dough are attached to the background and everything is framed.

Panel of dried flowers and leaves

You can make a panel with your own hands using various gifts of nature - leaves, cones, dried flowers. A leaf panel for the kitchen looks cute and elegant, especially if very unusual specimens are used. You can create a beautiful collage from dried leaves brought from distant lands, especially if you supplement them with local dried flowers and pictures. A detailed master class for working with dried flowers can be viewed on the Internet.

The main thing here is to work carefully, as the material is very fragile. The composition of the leaves must first be collected separately, to see how harmonious it will look. Then you need to carefully transfer the composition of the leaves to the base-background, gluing one element at a time. After finishing work, the composition of the leaves is covered with glass and placed in a frame so that the dried flowers do not gather dust. The panel for the kitchen is ready!

DIY textile panel

It is not difficult to make such a panel if you have the skills to work with fabric. The panel can be easily composed of various sewn figures. Stitched dolls in the tilde style are quite suitable. They can be placed in a frame and the panel is ready.

A beautiful panel will turn out if you sew semi-flat figures. Such figures are slightly stuffed with filler - so that they look slightly more voluminous. Then a composition of figurines is made. They can then be sewn to the base or glued.

If you make additional elements of wood, sticks for the figures, it will turn out even more interesting.

Wool panel

Why not make a picture panel out of wool? To do this, take a sheet of cardboard and wool for felting in different colors. Wool is torn into the finest fibers. From them, they begin to lay out the selected drawing. To make it easier, the drawing must be drawn on the basis - cardboard, on which the wool is laid out.

Wool can be worked like watercolor. Each tuft of wool is applied to the drawing, like a brushstroke. Due to the texture of wool, an almost complete illusion of watercolor painting is obtained.

Such a panel must be covered with glass. The glass will press the wool tightly and prevent the pattern from straying, and in addition, it will protect the wool from dust contamination.
