IPhone - the whole line, the lineup, the distinctive features of the models. How to visually distinguish different models of iPhones Types of iPhones 5

Autumn 2012 was marked by the release of the iPhone 5 in a radically new, elegant case, which pleasantly surprised, perhaps, all users of such devices. It was truly a real shake-up. The mobile device market was really alarmed, and competitors were thinking about how to stay afloat. It is worth noting that 2013 was also a defining year in this area, because the Cupertinians presented another masterpiece of their own production.

Contents of the box.

Just like any theater starts its work with costumes, the iPhone presentation starts with the box. The content remains the same - EarPods in a plastic case, the same USB-lighting cable, 5W charging, a paper clip that users recognize since the release of the first iPhone, a user manual, and stickers with the Apple logo. The box itself has changed somewhat. The size remains the same, but the exterior design has been tweaked. The company's design team made the decision to bring back the dominance of white, as was the case with the iPhone 4S.

The front side looks like the first models - iPhone, iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS

The top cover is adorned with full-face iPhone shots in gray, gold, silver, depending on what color the device is inside. The photo shows an iPhone with the screen on. This picture is much more logical, because earlier users were alarmed, observing the "perspective" view of the previous versions of the iPhone on the box lid. Simply put - "Back to Basics". On the sides, the box is decorated with the words "iPhone 5s" and the Apple logo, which are made in the same color (black, silver or gold) as the mobile device has inside. In the complex, everything looks quite elegant and tasteful.

Appearance.

The iPhone 5s, which recently hit retail stores, is very similar to its predecessor. Almost everything that is in it duplicates the popular iPhone 5. Let's figure out the differences, which, upon closer examination, turn out to be significant. The weight of the device has remained unchanged, the same dimensions, the same feeling of a monolith when you hold a gadget in your hand. The connectors and buttons take the same place. It is worth noting, however, that the creators made sure that the holes for the buttons were made neat. Over time, the buttons will not become loose, which, of course, is good news. Previously, service center employees received questions from their customers, where they asked about the nature of the origin of the rattling sound inside the iPhone during the shaking process. The explanation customers received was simple enough - the buttons moving inside their slots produced a similar sound. Most likely, Apple employees were asked similar questions more than once, so the company's engineers found a way to fix the situation.

Colour

Now let's talk about color. The iPhone 5s has a similar silver white finish to the iPhone 5. It remains the same - the same light metallic aluminum and milky glass parts. As for the black iPhone, it is now called "space gray" and looks like titanium products. The color has significantly lightened and received an elegant metallic sheen. The new iPhone looks interesting and wins against last year's black. A device of this color will appeal to fans of serious gadgets and will attract the attention of those who do not particularly like mourning.

A real gift for fans of Apple devices is the gold iPhone 5s. The new device is so extraordinary that the fact of its existence simply does not fit into the head.

But all doubts are dispelled as soon as you go to one of the shop windows and see the "gold" iPhone 5s. It is ideal for those who love a chic, luxurious and beautiful life!

Let's talk about Touch ID a little later, but for now let's look at the remaining differences between the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5. The first thing that catches your eye at the back is the dual flash. The fact is that the seventh version of the iOS operating system was equipped with a flashlight utility. The double flash is not at all responsible for making the light brighter. Only one LED is on. Dual flash is designed to take high quality photos.

Photos taken with double flash are rich in color and color. Engineers achieved this by using different diodes. One emits a warm color, the other a cold one. When mixed, you get an amazing effect, good color rendition and almost vivid photographs. Below we will talk about a dual flash.

It is worth noting that the engineers removed the aluminum bezel, which was located around the camera eye of the iPhone 5 and annoyed the owners of the device. The sensor is now hidden behind solid glass, which, of course, pleases.

The inscription "iPhone", located under the apple on the back of the case, has also changed. Now it looks more elegant thanks to the thin font lines, made in accordance with the design of the updated operating system. Everything else has remained unchanged - there are no changes at the back and at the ends. Details such as the on / off button, SIM tray, volume slider and volume mute did not change location.

There are no such cardinal differences as, for example, it was with the iPhone 4 and 4s, where the location of the buttons differed up to a few millimeters. All controls and interface of iPhone 5s duplicate that of the fifth iPhone.

If you look closely at the front panel, you will be surprised at the changes that have occurred to the Home button under the 4-inch screen. You will see that the button does not have the rounded square that was in all the previous six generations of the smartphone.

A sensor located on the button now reads your fingerprints and sends signals to the main processor to unlock your mobile device or confirm purchases from iTunes and the App Store. The functionality ends there for now. But, you see, this is also a lot.

Touch ID function.

The fingerprint sensor on the iPhone 5s is not unique. Motorola was the first to do this. However, due to the fact that the Atrix 4G smartphone was full of errors, the owners wanted to quickly disable this feature or change the device altogether.

The iPhone is undoubtedly different. The first thing to pay attention to is the activation of a short password request in order to unlock the device. It's worth noting that the Touch ID feature does not work on its own. The fact is that she repeats entering a short password. Only after activation can you enable fingerprint unlocking.

Calibration takes place immediately after switching on, which will take you no more than a minute. You can spend a minimum of time on this if you clearly know the sequence. However, if you still follow the instructions of the iPhone and fulfill all its requests, then it turns out exactly one minute.

Touch ID can memorize up to 5 fingers or up to 5 sections of one finger. For example, the user can set one of the fingers and four - the people to whom he can entrust the device. You can pretend to be an individual peasant and set 5 sections of your finger. Indeed, sometimes, it is not quite possible to press the Home button in one place: once with one part of the pillow, another with the other part. If you set 5 fragments, you will minimize the number of errors in the process of unlocking the device. Or even nullify it altogether.

Once the calibration is complete, check how everything is functioning. Active Touch ID, as already described above, repeats entering a short password in the process of unlocking the device. Now you have the opportunity, as in the good old days, to press the "Home" or "Power" button, slide your finger over the inscription "Unlock" and enter the password.

This whole process is time-consuming. The new Touch ID feature assumes performing simpler actions: pressing the round Home button, holding your finger on it for a while, after which the user will see the unlocked iPhone. It is the perfect solution for anyone who appreciates the information stored on their smartphones. Plus, you will save tons of time and your life will become much easier.

There is no need to leave the button pressed to read the fingerprint. In addition, if you do so, then voice control will be activated. Touch ID is quite simple and after a while you get so used to it that you stop noticing it as such. Although at first, users may feel a longing for the romance of the slider, which has not changed since the very first version of the OS, then called the iPhone OS.

Speed.

The iPhone 5s is faster than its predecessor. It should be noted that the iPhone is fast in all areas. The first thing you should pay attention to is that an exclusively new communication unit is used here, providing the owner of the iPhone with high-quality LTE in all parts of the world. All American carriers, as well as most European and Asian carriers, are supported here. Russia is now also in business. To date, communication of the 4th generation is not yet available, but Beeline and Megafon have given the go-ahead to provide iPhone 5s owners with high-quality Internet.

The second thing that makes the new iPhone so attractive is the A7 processor. The high speed was achieved thanks to the world's first 64-bit architecture. Of course, prototypes have appeared a long time ago, but the first who nevertheless decided to implement it in a smartphone were Apple employees.

So, the new iPhone works almost 2 times faster compared to the iPhone 5 and 50 times faster when compared to the device with the very first iPhone. It is inconceivable that such progress has been made in just 6 years.

There is probably no need to discuss the speed of the programs on the A7 processor, because even such heavyweight games as Infinity Blade III, as well as XCOM: Enemy Unknown are launched within a few seconds, regarding the work, users have no complaints at all. The interface of the modern and not yet optimized operating system iOS 7 is smooth.

At one time, the iPhone 5 was credited with several comments, and the iPhone 5s bypassed them. This credit undoubtedly belongs to the A7 chip, which has taken over some of the mundane duties of the M7 auxiliary processor. Now the central chip of the iPhone is not alone. Performance has been boosted thanks to an assistant responsible for statistics and calculations related to the accelerometer, gyroscope, and compass.

Cameras

Obviously, the increase in power did not leave the functional features of the main camera as they were.

The first thing that catches your eye is the presence of a new Burst mode, which was previously not available to any smartphone due to their slowness compared to the 5s. One second is enough for the phone to take 10 frames, which can then be used for the album. If you do not need so many photos, then choose one that you like the most, just delete the rest. Burst mode is ideal for shooting on the move.

The second innovation is Slo-mo. Have you ever seen the records of athletes at the finish line, when it is not completely clear who the winner is? When the judges look over each frame over and over again, establishing who was the first of the athletes. During standard shooting, the user will not be able to achieve this, but when the camera can take 120 frames per second, instead of 30 normal frames, the video sequence appears to be slowed down during playback.

In the old days, users needed special equipment to record this kind of video. An iPhone will be enough for you today.

Naturally, the camera was not limited to just a software update - the remaining maximum resolution is now combined with a larger pixel size (1.5 µm versus 1.4 µm) and a larger aperture (f / 2.2 versus f / 2.4).

Dual flash, functioning in 1/2 flashlight mode, allows you to take photos in low-light places realistic and vivid. The colors are rich and the shadows are deep. This effect is achieved not only through dual flash, but also through pixel and aperture changes. But, do not underestimate the role of the flash, because at dusk or in the dark it plays a major role.

The front camera has also undergone some changes. The main specs remain the same: 1.2 megapixels and the ability to transmit 720p images. A distinctive feature of the 5s front camera is the BSI sensor, which will show you the other person in the best light even in poor lighting conditions.

Energy efficiency

If we take into account the high-speed features and guaranteed LTE, which is planned in Russia, it might seem that the iPhone 5s battery will last only 3-4 hours of operation. We hasten to refute this opinion. It is claimed that users with iPhone 5s will have access to 250 hours of standby, 10 hours of voice communication, and 40 hours of music playback.

This information is taken from artificial tests that are almost impossible to implement in life. It is difficult to imagine, for example, a 10-hour conversation or 2 days of tireless listening to music.

A full charge of the iPhone is enough to use it in active mode for a whole day or relaxed, without calls after 30-40 minutes and tirelessly playing Angry Birds.

Definitely new!

Whoever said anything, but the iPhone 5s has a lot of new products compared to the iPhone 5. It seems that the device is an exact copy of its predecessor, but this is far from the case. There is - a new camera with its modes, dual flash, a processor and its assistant coprocessor, Touch ID and an updated Home button, the operating system iOS 7, which is striking in its speed.

And do not forget that the device has started to come out in two new colors. 5s is a world full of opportunity and opening its gates to those who have the courage to take it over.

If you are going to buy an iPhone in the secondary market, and previously did not deal with Apple technology at all, do not be lazy and study the visual differences between the models of Apple smartphones. So you will immediately understand what kind of iPhone is in front of you and not a single seller will fool you.

Most often, confusion arises with the so-called "esks" that come out after global smartphone updates. They have a very similar appearance to the previous model.

Let's start with the most common models on our market, with which every third goes. Earlier devices are less common.

iPhone 5 / iPhone 5s / iPhone SE

Many internet sites are literally packed with these 4-inch iPhones. Outwardly, it is quite easy to distinguish them, but you need to know what to look at. It is on such devices that scammers try to deceive buyers by presenting an older iPhone 5 as an iPhone 5s or an "escu" as an iPhone SE.

The screen size, dimensions, color and weight of the devices are almost the same. Of course, the iPhone 5 was not sold in gold, and the 5s in rose gold, but the craftsmen from Gorbushka will be able to fit the case of any color to the desired model, so you should not rely on the color.

Drive capacity: iPhone 5 16/32/64 GB, iPhone 5s 16/32/64 GB, iPhone SE 16/32/64/128 GB.

Model number: iPhone 5 A1428, A1429, A1442, iPhone 5s A1453, A1457, A1518, A1528, A1530, A1533, iPhone SE A1723, A1662, A1724.

How to tell the difference between iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s

The main difference between the iPhone 5 is the lack of a Touch ID sensor. The Home button is iconic and does not recognize fingerprints. This can be seen both externally and by the absence of the Touch ID section in the settings.

Another highlight will be the flash on the back of the device. The older model has a circular flash, while the iPhone 5s has an oval dual-LED flash.

How to tell the difference between iPhone 5s and iPhone SE

Even experienced Apple technology owners often come across this. Externally, the models are practically indistinguishable.

Some people see more beveled edges on the SE model, but the change is difficult to notice even in direct comparison, so you should not hope for it.

The main indicator for us is the marking on the back cover. The new iPhone has the SE index there. Bearing in mind the possibility of replacing the case, do not forget to check the model number in the settings of the device itself.

iPhone 5c

The bright plastic body immediately distinguishes the more affordable smartphone from the three previous models.

Drive capacity: 8/16/32 GB.

Model number: A1456, A1507, A1516, A1529, A1532.

iPhone 6 / iPhone 6s

There is another potential fraud site here. Often they try to pass off the "six" as an "escu" and throw an extra 8-10 thousand to the price of the device.

The models can be distinguished from each other by the back cover. The newer iPhone 6s has an “S” on the back, while the iPhone 6s lineup also has a rose gold color.

Again, we do not trust only the appearance, we check the model number in the settings and the presence of 3D Touch on the iPhone 6s (you need to press hard on the application icons to open the additional menu).

Drive capacity: iPhone 6 16/64/128 GB, iPhone 6S 16/32/64/128 GB.

Model number: iPhone 6 A1549, A1586, A1589, iPhone 6S A1633, A1688, A1700.

iPhone 6 Plus / iPhone 6s Plus

Apple's phablets have the largest 5.5-inch display in Apple's lineup. The body is larger than that of conventional 6 / 6s (158.1 x 77.8 x 7.1 mm versus 138.1 x 67 x 6.9 mm).

The models differ from each other, like the previous ones - by the markings on the rear panel.

Drive capacity: iPhone 6 Plus 16/64/128 GB, iPhone 6s Plus 16/32/64/128 GB.

Model number: iPhone 6 Plus A1522, A1524, A1593, iPhone 6S Plus A1634, A1687, A1699.

iPhone 7 / iPhone 7 Plus

Last year, Apple showed off the iPhone 7, and there are quite a few visual differences. There is no 3.5 mm headphone jack on the bottom end of the case. On the back, the models can be recognized by the size of the camera module and the antenna stripes at the top and bottom.

The iPhone 7 color line includes three new colors: onyx black, matte black and red.

Drive capacity: 32/128/256 GB.

Model number: iPhone 7 A1660, A1778, A1779, iPhone 7 Plus A1661, A1784, A1785.

Remember that iPhone cases are easy to change, and in China, different covers have been produced for a long time in the style of new models for old iPhones. Visual differences will only help you navigate, and to accurately identify the model, look for its number on the back cover, box and in the iOS parameters ( Settings - General - About this device).

Now you can safely go to our Flea market and choose a new iPhone for yourself.

No matter how anyone thinks about Apple smartphones, they are insanely popular in our country. Such love of users, as well as the desire to save money on buying an expensive smartphone, create huge "gray" and secondary markets. I managed to count as many as 5 types of iPhones that can be found on sale. And the cheaper the device is sold in comparison with the price from federal retailers, the more nuances you may encounter. I propose to consider in detail all 5 types of iPhone and make a list of their pros and cons.

Official iPhone for Russia. Most expensive option

All devices sold in federal networks, in the Russian Apple Store and from local resellers like iPort are official devices for Russia. They usually have the highest price on the market, but is there any point in overpaying?

The main advantage of official devices is that, together with Russian certification, a two-year warranty is given. By the way, according to the law "On the protection of consumer rights", a two-year warranty is valid for any smartphone, not only from Apple. But the Yabloko company is one of those who unquestioningly abide by this law. And, by the way, he openly writes about it on his website.

Important Notice: The 2-year Consumer Law Warranty starts from the date of purchase, while Apple's 1-year Limited Warranty starts from the first activation of the device. Another caveat: in most cases, you will need a sales receipt to exercise the right to warranty repairs within the second year. If it is lost, it’s not scary, remembering the date of purchase, it can be restored at the place of purchase. If only this place has not closed yet.

Considering that we live in Russia, we may have to argue with employees of retailers or service centers. But usually this problem is solved by calling Apple's hotline or text to their chat. Now I will step aside a little from the topic and tell you a couple of stories that happened to me at different times.

A good friend of mine once had a broken keyboard in a 2015 MacBook. We brought it to the now defunct Avangard service center in the city of Orel. At the request to repair the laptop under warranty, representatives of the ASC were refused, since the year had already expired by that time. I had to use Apple technical support so that they explained to the ASC representative that he was wrong. The laptop was still accepted under warranty, but they refused to change the topcase, saying that after resetting some settings, the keyboard was magically repaired. I don’t know why that ASC was closed, I admit that because of such a not entirely honest approach. Subsequently, that MacBook was successfully handed over to one of the Moscow services, where it was accepted without any problems and the topcase was changed without further ado.

The second story happened with the iPhone 7, on the display of which I found a dead pixel. Having previously contacted Apple technical support, I received an official confirmation that this is a warranty case and that the display should be replaced in the ASC. Since I didn't want to go to another city, I handed over the device to the Beeline office where the device was purchased. But what was my surprise when, a couple of weeks later, the device was returned to me with the conclusion of a certain Moscow branch of MT Service that no malfunctions were found. A couple of days later, the device was successfully handed over to the same Moscow ASC, which had previously repaired a friend's MacBook, and there, without any questions, the display was replaced for me within three days.

This means that not all services are equally useful. I met a few more strange stories on the network in which the Apple ASC took money for diagnostics even in the event of a warranty case. So be ready to communicate and defend your rights, and if it doesn't work out, then go to a more competent service. But such situations do not negate the fact that a two-year warranty is always better than one. So personally, I prefer official devices, even if they are more expensive.

pros

  • 2 year warranty by law.

Minuses

  • High price.

Officially refurbished iPhone. Reasonable savings

For quite a long time, in Russian retail, you can find the iPhone of the past years with the postscripts “like new”, “officially restored” or “certified refurbished”. This means that the iPhone was already in use, and then for some reason was returned back to the store or service center. Apple replaces the display, housing, battery, puts it in a new box with new accessories, and sends such devices back to stores. In fact, you will not find any signs of use on such an iPhone.

Such a device can cost 10-20% cheaper, and it is covered by exactly the same warranty as a regular official smartphone (provided that it is also an official device for Russia). Buying an officially refurbished iPhone makes sense if you want to save some money and do not mind that some of the internal components of this smartphone (memory, motherboard, chipset) were previously used by someone.

The main limitation is that these are not the latest models. As a rule, reconditioned devices appear not earlier than a year after the device was released. In addition, there are no stable supplies of officially restored devices on the shelves of retailers for obvious reasons. By the way, from the most recent models I often see the iPhone X, but, for example, “like new” iPhone 8/8 Plus have not yet come across.

pros

  • 10-20% discount compared to a conventional PCT device.
  • 2 year warranty by law.

Minuses

  • Some internal components (motherboard, memory, chipset) were previously used.

"Gray" iPhone. Economy option from abroad

It's no secret that buying an iPhone is cheaper in a number of other countries. This is used by travelers, as well as enterprising citizens who bring these devices to Russia bypassing customs. Someone does it piece by piece in their bags, while someone manages to transport whole wholesale lots of such devices into the country. Hong Kong, Great Britain, USA, China - in Russia you can find iPhones from a dozen countries, and the prices for such devices allow you to save 10-20 thousand rubles.

In fact, there is nothing criminal about buying such an iPhone, except that you encourage smuggling. The main thing to pay attention to is the model number, which should correspond to Russian devices (or those that are serviced in Russia), you can see it on the box. This is necessary in order to be eligible for warranty service in our country.

At the moment, Russia has a worldwide guarantee for the following current models:

  • iPhone 7: A1778.
  • iPhone 7 Plus: A1784.
  • iPhone 8: A1905, A1863.
  • iPhone 8 Plus: A1897, A1864.
  • iPhone X: A1901, A1865.
  • iPhone XS: A2097.
  • iPhone XS Max: A2101.
  • iPhone XR: A2105.

Separately, I would like to draw your attention to the fact that the warranty in the Russian Federation does not apply to the much-coveted dual-SIM iPhone XS and XR.

However, even if you plan to buy a model that is eligible for service in Russia, the warranty period will be only 1 year. This is the main disadvantage of buying a "gray" iPhone.

But there are a few more minor nuances. IPhones for EU countries have limited maximum headphone volume, while in the UAE there are no FaceTime video calling functions, and in Japanese phones, the camera shutter sound cannot be turned off. Apple is so careful in enforcing local laws that disabling these restrictions most likely will not work, even if you choose Russia as your main region. In Russian devices, by the way, there are no such restrictions.

Well, the most insignificant, in my opinion, nuance is the type of plug that comes with the device. In the UK, Hong Kong, the USA and some other countries, the plugs differ from the Russian ones, but charging the iPhone with a standard 5-watt power supply is a mockery. So it is better to immediately attend to the purchase of something more worthwhile, at least a 12-watt iPad, and leave the complete package in the box.

By the way, among the "gray" iPhones, there are sometimes officially restored smartphones that are not yet sold in Russia, so there is a chance to save twice on one purchase.

pros

  • Low price - up to 30% cheaper in comparison with official devices.
  • Worldwide guarantee for a number of models, which is valid in the Russian Federation.

Minuses

  • One year of a guarantee instead of two years.
  • There may be restrictions depending on which country the model is for.
  • In iPhone, for some countries, power supplies for a different type of outlets.

Exchange iPhone. But it is not exactly

An exchange iPhone is a new device received to replace a broken device at an Apple Authorized Service Center. Such devices are issued there either free of charge as part of warranty service (if repair is not possible), or as part of a paid service. In the second case, the cost of such an exchange is approximately 50-70% of the price of a new official device.

Exchangers are found in online and offline stores selling gray equipment, as well as on classifieds sites. The purchase of such a device is associated with a more serious risk, since it is not always possible at first glance to find out for sure whether the "exchange" is in front of us or the "designer" (we will talk about it further). In an ideal situation, you should be provided with an act of completion with the seal of the ASC, the authenticity of which can be determined by calling the same service center.

It is worth noting that only the smartphone itself falls under the replacement in the ASC, and the box and the delivery set remain the same. Therefore, buying such a device, you will most likely find used accessories or their new Chinese counterparts in the box with it. It is unlikely that it will be possible to meet a "exchange" with a new original set.

How the "exchange" got to the seller is always a big question, and you will hardly be able to find an answer to it. As one of the options, the seller bought a broken or broken iPhone for a symbolic amount, replaced it at the ASC on his own, and then decided to resell it at a premium.

If the original device that came under the replacement was from Russian supplies, then from the date of replacement the warranty is valid for 1 year. If the device was brought from abroad, then the warranty period is limited to 90 days or the period of the initial warranty, whichever expires later. You can always check your eligibility on Apple's website by entering your serial number.

If you want to save so much that you are ready to buy an exchange device, then you need to study the iPhone as closely as possible. But, in fact, this will be the purchase of a used device, which means that any pitfalls may await you. And it will most likely be impossible to determine whether the device was recently issued by the service center instead of the broken one. The only option to minimize the risk is to buy from a trusted store with the purest reputation, if you, of course, know such. In other cases, it will be a "pig in a poke", albeit with significant savings.

pros

  • Lower price in comparison even with “gray” iPhones.
  • Up to 1 year warranty if the official Russian iPhone was replaced.

Minuses

  • You can run into a used or "constructor".
  • Used kit or Chinese fake accessories.
  • It is necessary to carefully check the device itself and the seller's reputation.

"Constructor". Nothing is better than this

If you have ever leafed through Avito in search of an iPhone, you must have come across new, packed and just brought iPhones from abroad, but at some suspiciously low price. And here, as a rule, there are two options: either it is a Chinese fake on Android, or it is the most banal "constructor". The latter means that this iPhone is a real "Frankenstein", assembled from what was at hand. The percentage of non-original spare parts can vary greatly, as can the quality of these components. Something can be noticed immediately, such as dull colors or a noticeable pixel grid on the display. Something may emerge after a while, for example, a “dead” battery. Or the smartphone will simply turn off after a while and will not turn on again.

You may logically ask, how is this possible, if the device is new and packed, and without any signs of opening? Yes, even the serial numbers on the box can easily be checked on the Apple website (but they will not match the data on the smartphone). But here the fact is that the craftsmen on the radio markets have long had all the necessary equipment to pack the "designer" in such a way that you can't find fault with it. And stickers, their printing and application is just a matter of technology.

Here I just ask you to remember one thing. A normal iPhone, especially a new and packed one, cannot cost half the price. It is foolish to sell something “below market” if it sells quickly and well at a normal price. So offers with prices half the retail price should be swept aside right away.

pros

Minuses

  • It is not known how long the smartphone will work, what components it has and what quality they are.

Conclusion

These are the 5 types of iPhone you can find today on sale on the shelves of Russian stores under the guise of new devices. Which of these to choose, decide, of course, for yourself. Personally, I am in favor of the first three options, depending on how much you want to save and what you are willing to sacrifice for the sake of this savings. And in no case let the “tasty” price tags turn your head, the consequences can be the most unpredictable.

  1. The display is a rectangle with rounded corners. The diagonal of this rectangle, excluding rounds, is 5.85 inches (for iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone XS, and iPhone X), 6.46 inches (for iPhone 11 Pro Max and iPhone XS Max), or 6.06 inches (for iPhone 11 and iPhone XR). The actual viewing area is smaller.
  2. All battery specifications are subject to network settings and other factors; actual running time may not be the same. The battery allows a limited number of charging cycles. Over time, it may need to be replaced by an Apple Authorized Service Provider. Battery life and number of charge cycles may vary depending on settings and usage. More details on pages and.
  3. iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, and iPhone 11 are splash, water and dust resistant and tested in supported laboratory conditions. iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max are rated IP68 according to IEC 60529 (submerged in water up to 4 meters for up to 30 minutes). iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone 11 are rated IP68 according to IEC 60529 (submerged in water up to 2 meters for up to 30 minutes). Phone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X and iPhone XR are rated IP67 according to IEC 60529 (submersion in water up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes is allowed). Splash, water and dust resistance can be reduced with normal wear and tear. Do not attempt to charge a wet iPhone: wipe and dry it according to the instructions in the user manual.
