  • All design valves, including the gearbox, do not have plastic in their detailing. And due to this advantage, it is possible to avoid all kinds of deformation moments of the main parts of the system when exposed to various climatic conditions, and the system itself is not damaged. All these factors are reduced to zero due to the elimination of plastic in the design.
  • The overall service life of the gearbox is set within 6–8 years. In principle, this is a good time mark, and this is due to the high-quality use of rubber, casting parts. But remember that 6-8 years of use are carried out only with proper operational activities.
  • HBO units of vehicles are connected by conical couplings, and they do not require specially designed tools. All connecting parts can be replaced by a common assembly, and this in turn will reduce and eliminate all installation, repair and maintenance flaws.
  • The gearbox can make three main adjustments. The first two adjustments are required during testing by the manufacturer and do not require any changes. But the owner of the vehicle, in turn, should adjust the idle speed.
  • The gearbox has 3 attachment points. It is these three mounts that make it possible to carry out a high-quality and tight installation of the system in the body of any kind of vehicle.

What is Landi Renzo gas equipment

The company produces the following automotive gas equipment systems:

  • EVO: the main components are - an electronic control unit (ECU), a LI - 02 gearbox (up to 110 kW), AEB nozzles, a button - an indicator, a PT Gas Map sensor, coarse and fine filters;
  • Omegas: ECU, gearbox Li - 10 (for atmospheric and turbocharged engines "TwinAir" and "MultiAir"), Girs nozzles;
  • direct: ECU, Reducer Li - 10, injectors MED.

The main differences between them are in electronic control units, gearboxes and nozzles. The remaining components are identical in design and function.

ECU Landirenzo Omegas Direct 3-4/ Landirenzo Omegas Direct 5-8

This is Landi Renzo's latest innovation, fourth generation premium equipment. Designed for injection engines with direct fuel injection (TSI, FSI, TFSI) when converted to propane - butane (liquefied gas) and methane (natural gas).

It is used in the world's most famous automotive brands - Mercedes, Toyota, BMW and others. For each of them, an individual ECU firmware is performed, which eliminates any malfunctions in the system.

Electronic control unit Landi Renzo Omegas

Provides constant cleaning of petrol injectors when the engine is running on gas. The minimum portions of gasoline supplied by the ECU command to the injectors exclude their overheating, coking and burnout.

This electronic control box has a wide range of applications. It fits any four-cylinder engine (Landirenzo Omegas Direct 3-4). Also used for five-eight-cylinder (Landirenzo Omegas Direct 5-8).

The block is adapted by OBD II. Provides ignition timing due to its own software and hardware.

From the factory, the entire system of gas equipment is delivered as ready for use as possible. This eliminates the need to define many of the required parameters and simplifies the setup process. As a rule, a simple auto-calibration is enough, and the car is ready to use gas as a motor fuel.

Gearboxes Landi Renzo

Can be used for both atmospheric and turbocharged (TwinAir, MultiAir) engines. Available modifications:

Gas reducer IG 1Magg

  • LI - 10 (up to 140 kW);
  • 10 Turbo (up to 160 kW);
  • LI - 10 Magg (more than 160 kW). The IG 1 brand is the most powerful gearbox (from 192 to 246 hp), has a two-stage gas pressure reduction design. Weight - 1, 87 kg.

To improve safety, all gearbox modifications are equipped with solenoid valves. To clean the gas at the inlet there is a coarse fuel (gas) filter.

Design features of gearboxes

These include:

  • devices do not have plastic parts, which increases their reliability;
  • increased heat transfer area due to the ribbed heat exchanger. Due to this, the gearbox heats up very quickly;
  • single-stage, except for the Landi Renzo IG 1 magg brand, which has two pressure reduction stages and, accordingly, two diaphragms interconnected during operation. This ensures high sensitivity of the gearbox, which has a positive effect on the dynamic characteristics of the car when driving on gas;
  • the relative position of the cavity for the liquid heating the gearbox (antifreeze) and the membrane is such that, if it bursts, the gas will not enter the engine cooling system;
  • a valve is provided for emergency release of excess gas pressure, if necessary (when pressure reaches more than 2.5 bar)
  • have three attachment points, which ensures the rigidity of the installation and the possibility of mounting on a car of any brand.

Reducer Landi Renzo

Condensate is drained through an easily accessible drain fitting provided in a special tank.

Performance and adjustments

Reducers provide:

  • required gas pressure in any operating mode of the motor;
  • respond quickly to changes in engine operation;
  • the engine works without failures;
  • dynamic acceleration of the car;
  • minimum gas consumption;
  • productivity - up to 40 kg of gas per hour;
  • operating temperature — from -20°С to +120°С.

The main gearbox adjustments are made at the factory. An additional manual idle speed is provided, which is performed independently.

nozzles

MED nozzles have high dosing accuracy and opening-closing speed. They can be used for both propane-butane mixtures and methane. The installation of a gas pressure and temperature sensor on the nozzle rail is provided.

Six types of nozzles are produced, differing from each other in color design. Let's deal with each of them.

Landi Renzo Medium Blue

These blue nozzles have a poppet design, which ensures a high speed of their response. Equipped with blue caps (similar to black, but with an improved design). This indicates their power: 15 - 30 kW or 20 - 40 hp per cylinder.

For a four-cylinder engine, one injector rail is required. Here, the power with such nozzles will be 60 - 120 kW or 80 - 160 hp. For an eight-cylinder power unit, two of them are needed, respectively, and then the power will double.

The body of the ramp is made of plastic and is equipped with a special connector for connecting pressure and vacuum sensors. Mounting dimensions: inlet - 14 mm, outlet - 5 mm.

Landi Renzo Small Green

These injectors are green and are used for injection engines with indirect injection. They can be used both for liquefied gas (propane - butane), and for compressed gas (methane). They have green caps (analogue - orange).

Power per cylinder - 20 kW (27 hp). Accordingly, a four-injector rail will have an output of 80 kW (108 hp) for a four-cylinder engine. It is possible to connect a pressure sensor. Otherwise, these nozzles have the same characteristics as "Medium Blue".

Sensitive to gas quality. Therefore, it is mandatory to install a fine fuel filter and monitor its condition.

Landi Renzo Medium Black

These nozzles are black, have a power per cylinder - 15 - 30 kW (20 - 49 hp). Analog - coils with purple caps. Used when converting a car to propane (liquefied gas) or methane (compressed natural gas).

The nozzles are collapsible, if repair is necessary, this feature can be used. It is available to replace a failed one nozzle, and not the entire ramp.

Sensitive to the purity of the gas used. Enhanced cleaning is a must. To do this, it is possible to install two filters in series, one of which is with a sump. Other characteristics are the same as those of the previously discussed types.

Landi Renzo Large White

White color, used as for propane-butane mixture (LPG). Can also be used for natural compressed gas (methane - CNG). Power per cylinder - 24 - 40 kW (34 - 55 hp). Accordingly, the power of the ramp of four nozzles for a 4-cylinder engine is 96-160 kW (136-220 hp).

Landi Renzo Orange

Orange, injector power up to 20 kW per cylinder (27 hp). Ramp power - 80 kW (108 hp) for a four-cylinder engine.

Orange is similar to the previously produced green injectors, but more advanced and durable. Repairable, it is possible to replace one nozzle, and not all on the ramp at the same time. Requirements for gas quality, design features are identical to the previous ones.

Landi Renzo Large Purple

Violet, the most powerful nozzles of the manufacturer "Landi Renzo". White analogue. Power per cylinder is 25 - 40 kW (34 - 55 hp). The power of one ramp of four nozzles is from 100 to 160 kW (from 137 to 220 hp). Two ramps for eight-cylinder engine - from 200 to 320 kW (from 274 to 440 hp).

The design of the metal-plastic body of the ramp provides a connector for connecting a gas pressure and vacuum sensor. The remaining parameters, characteristics and requirements for these nozzles are the same as for those discussed above.

When replacing nozzles, it is mandatory that they all be of the same color, even if an analogue is used.
