DIY table lampshade. DIY lampshade: simple steps to create a stylish and original design for floor and table lamps

The ruffle fabric can be matched to the shade color or contrasting. Cut it into strips, then fold each in half lengthwise and iron. Lubricate the folds with glue (fabric glue or a glue gun is suitable) and glue to the lampshade, forming folds and bends. The edges of the strips need not be processed - this is even more interesting.

Decorating a lampshade will help create a unique atmosphere of comfort in your home. It will also help give old things new life. You don't need to throw out outdated lamps and fixtures, but it is worth showing a little imagination to create a completely new designer item. The decor of the lamp can be made from available tools, creating a lamp that will harmoniously complement the interior of the room.

Decor materials

In order for a hand-made lamp to look original, you can use a wide variety of materials and devices to decorate it. Basic materials for work:

  • glue (PVA, silicate or glue gun);
  • twine, wire, twine;
  • beads, rhinestones, beads;
  • scissors;
  • pliers;
  • thick cardboard, sheets of white paper;
  • frame for the lampshade;
  • chamber for light bulbs and wires.

This is not a complete list of materials that are used to create a lampshade. In the work, you can use any available tools and materials.

The simplest base option for a lampshade is a frame from an old lamp. You can use metal frames from old lamps, which are later decorated at the choice of the master. Also, you can use glass jars, plastic containers as a basis. The frame of the product can be made from vines or wood panels.

The light bulb holder and wire can be purchased from the market or you can use leftovers from an old luminaire.

Papier-mâché

An interesting solution for interior design is a papier-mâché lampshade. For decor, you will need white paper, old newspapers (can be replaced with thin sheets of paper), PVA glue, a balloon, water. Before starting work, the ball is inflated to the size that the lamp will later be. The newspaper should be cut into long strips, which are briefly left in glue or paste. Wet the surface of the ball with water and lay out the first layer of newspaper. One of the parts of the ball is not glued, since light will come from it in the future.

An unusual solution: if you do not paste over the bottom of the balloon with a newspaper layer, the light will be directed towards the floor. You can also leave the side of the ball free, in which case the light will come to the side.

To create an unusual papier-mâché lamp, you will need to apply 5-6 layers of newspaper. Be sure to ensure that before applying the next layer, the previous one is completely dry. After completing the layout with a newspaper, the lampshade can be pasted over with white paper, and liquid wallpaper can be applied. After decorating the lamp, the ball needs to burst, paste over the lampshade with paper from the inside. Make a hole for the chamber on top of the product.

Made of cardboard and paper

Another decor option is a paper lamp. This requires thin cardboard of white or other colors. The length of a sheet of cardboard depends on the required diameter of the finished product. The selected contour is applied to the cardboard (butterflies, hearts, stars, etc.). Using a clerical knife, the selected patterns are cut out of the canvas. The cardboard is glued at the edges and attached to the frame of the future lamp. Along the edge of the lampshade, you can attach ribbons or a fishing line decorated with beads, on which you can hang symbols cut out of cardboard. Such a product looks very original on the ceiling of a nursery or bedroom.

Colored beads can be strung on ribbons, which will alternate with paper figures.

After turning on the lamp with such a frame, funny figures will appear on the walls of the room.
Using fabric to decorate the lamp

Fabric lampshades are easy to make and can be cleaned very well. As the simplest option for a lampshade, you can take a piece of fabric that looks harmonious with the interior of the room and sew its edge. A lace is threaded into the upper part and that's it - the lampshade is ready. Such a product is attached to a metal frame and can also be easily removed.

A more complex version of a fabric lampshade can be decorated with ruffles, ribbons weaved. Lampshades trimmed with fabric ribbons or embroidered with beads and sequins look quite original.

For living room decor, you can make a lampshade decorated with fringed ribbons. Ready-made ribbons are sold at sewing shops. A hot glue gun is used to attach the fringe to the frame. A thin layer of adhesive is applied to the lamp frame, to which the braid is subsequently attached.

If there is a need to decorate the finished lampshade to make it match the interior, various figures can be cut out of the fabric, which are attached to the lampshade with a gun with glue.

From improvised items

In any home, you can find tons of items that can be used to decorate a lamp. And if you look in the garage, you can create a whole studio of designer chandeliers. The most important thing is to show your imagination and take an unconventional approach to the choice of materials for decoration.

For fire safety purposes, you need to use items that are resistant to high temperatures or screw in low-power bulbs before starting work, the surface of the item must be cleaned of dust and dirt, degreased.

When choosing a lampshade style, it is worth considering the interior of the room, its purpose. For example, a lampshade made of plastic spoons will look strange in a living room, which is decorated in a pretentious glamorous style. At the same time, a lampshade decorated with rhinestones and stones will be completely inappropriate in the kitchen or in a summer gazebo.

From plastic spoons

Such a lamp is ideal for decorating a kitchen. It is very easy to make, while the materials for the lamp cost a penny. So, for work you will need the following materials:

  • A set of plastic tablespoons. A total of 50-100 pieces of fixtures are required, depending on the desired lamp size.
  • Gun glue.
  • A set of acrylic paints and brushes.
  • Lampshade frame. A ready-made metal frame from an old table lamp is suitable for work.
  • Scissors.

First, you need to cut off the holder from all the spoons. Each product must have 0.5 cm of the boat for fastening. Further, parts of the spoon are randomly attached to the frame. They can overlap each other, imitating fish scales, or go scattered, resembling rose petals. Spoon legs can also be used for decoration. After covering the entire surface of the frame, the surface of the spoon is covered with acrylic paint - monochromatic or multi-colored. Using this decor technique, you can create a lamp in the shape of a pineapple, a flower, a goldfish, and others. Lampshade made of plastic spoons is suitable not only for a ceiling lamp, but also for decorating a bedside lamp in a nursery.

Plastic or glassware

On the farm, water bottles often accumulate, which can be used to decorate lamps. Before starting work, the bottle must be thoroughly washed and dried. Further actions are the freedom of the master's imagination.

For example, cutting off the neck of a bottle can create a great holder for a bulb holder. Several of these accessories, which are glued together, form an unusual chandelier. Bottles can be used from multi-colored plastic or covered with clear colored varnish. So, multi-colored rays of light will sparkle in the room.

You can also use pickle glass jars to create a lampshade. Lamps from cans suspended at different levels will become an interesting design solution in the design of the kitchen. Also, when arranging the kitchen, you can use saucers, cups, shards from broken dishes to decorate the lampshade.

From twine

Such lamps can often be found as lanterns on streets or terraces. Making such a lamp at home is very simple - twine and glue are used to create it.

Before starting work, as in the case of a papier-mâché lampshade, you need to inflate a balloon of the right size. It is he who will serve as a form for the future product. The twine must be soaked in paste and wound around the ball in random order. The loose ends of the twine are tied, with the knot placed at the top of the ball, where the chamber will then be located. The product will dry for about 2-3 days. Then the ball needs to burst and the chamber and light bulb can be attached. The finished product can be decorated with large beads, dried flowers. To decorate the gazebo, you can use several of these lampshades of different sizes.

Thus, there are many options for creating an original lampshade. In work, you can use not only special equipment, but also improvised items. Making and decorating a lampshade will allow you not only to decorate your home, but also to have a great time.

A small interior detail like a lamp can make a room much more comfortable and inviting. At the same time, its appearance also plays a significant role in this, in order to improve it, you can make a lampshade with your own hands. This can be of great help if you find a very good floor lamp that you like very much, but it does not really suit the interior of the room you want.

Construction and base

The first step is to decide on a floor lamp, lamp or lamps that will be decorated. If you want to take fabric, then it is better to replace all bulbs with LED counterparts, since you can look on the Internet for a photo of a lampshade that covered a regular incandescent light bulb. This is in the event that this has not happened to you.

Next, you need to remove the structure that holds the lampshade, because we will be guided by it. If the lamp does not have such a frame, it is better to go to the store and purchase a similar one. If you do not want to do this, then you can do this business yourself. All you need is simple pliers and wire, preferably thicker.

Both independently and when buying in a store, you can choose a base of any shape, but I will say that the shape of a cone or cylinder will give you much less difficulty during work.

Material selection

You cannot figure out how to make a lampshade with your own hands without deciding on the material with which you are going to work. In this regard, more and more depends on your taste preferences. Based on them, you will need to choose a fabric that suits you primarily in terms of density. Someone likes thin materials, and someone is a fan of woolen coatings, this is already a matter of taste.

Since the purchased frame, exactly like one made on its own, consists of wire, it would be better to cover it with any opaque material. Dark cotton or silk will work well, and taffeta will also work well. Again, the pick is to your liking.

The main thing to consider is that light materials will give a cooler light for the room. The same applies to green and blue colors, which will also visually lower the temperature. For warm light, it is better to use red and its shades.

Required details

This lampshade can be made in different ways. The easiest way is overlaying. To do this, you will need to leave your old lampshade in place and glue a new one on top of it. In this case, almost all preparatory steps can be skipped.

If the step-by-step making of a lampshade with your own hands starts with a frame, you will need to paint it first. Then it will be good to decorate it with a narrow cotton ribbon, preferably opaque.

Another issue is the visual quality of the lampshade. If you want it to be as neat as possible, you should use a sewing machine. From the tools, an iron will be added to it, with which we will level the fabric, a pencil necessary for cutting and a ruler.

As for the materials, then you will need fabric, which will be the basis of the new lampshade, threads that match the color of this fabric, and other consumables such as needles and pins.

Process

The first step is to do the drawings, namely the template for the future lampshade. You can get it in several different ways. If our frame is in the shape of a cylinder, then this will be quite simple. To do this, it will be enough to measure the length of its round part, then the height. The resulting dimensions can be safely transferred to the fabric.

It will be a little more difficult with the cone. Here you will already make a master class for yourself that will show you how to make a lampshade at home, because you will need to try a little. It's best to start with a large enough sheet of paper. Then we take the frame and a pencil and begin to slowly roll it on the paper and along the way draw a line behind it with a pencil. You can also use a thread to help you with the process. Next, we use the dimensions that we got.

Since you start with paper, it shouldn't be difficult to attach it to the structure and look at a rough draft of the painting. This will help us to more accurately select the dimensions for the fabric. It is very important not just, not to make the lampshade more than a frame, but not less, because in this case all the work will go down the drain.

After making sure that the workpiece fits in size, you can start working on the fabric. Here you no longer need instructions on how to make a lampshade correctly, but simple sewing and patterning skills. Tan should be taken with a margin of one and a half or two centimeters outside our template. These will be the allowances we need.

Next, you need to start wrapping the fabric inward, the blank and the pins that were prepared earlier will help you with this. We will use them to fix the fabric along the bends. Next, you need to carefully get out the template and start working on the sewing machine.

Now the matter remains small. First you need to sew our fabric. This should be done only on the sides and top. The lower part should remain in order to wrap it up after being positioned on the frame. When everything is stitched, it is time for the iron, with which we will iron the entire fabric.

If you are working with a ready-made lampshade that you just want to freshen up, then you need glue, which you need to spread on the new fabric, then wait a little, and then stick it on the lampshade.

If this is not required, you can put our lampshade on the frame. After that, you need to manually sew the bottom edge and that's it - the lampshade is ready.

Photo of lampshades with your own hands

As you know, a floor lamp is a lamp standing on the floor and supporting the lamp shade with a rod. The word "floor lamp" came to us from the French language, which in translation means "torch". Of all the variety of lighting fixtures, floor lamps are undoubtedly the most homely, cozy and comfortable. Soft, diffusing light quietly pours out from under the lampshade and pleasantly illuminates the space.

Ever since the days when grandmother's floor lamp with a shelf on a leg, the lampshade of which was decorated with fringes, was a family heirloom passing from generation to generation, the soothing light of a floor lamp has been associated with peace and homeliness. After some kind of oblivion, floor lamps are undergoing a period of rebirth. Now they can be seen again in almost every home. A bright, sometimes even blinding light, like loud sounds, can not only tire, but also irritate, therefore, the twilight is sometimes simply necessary. A floor lamp in this sense is a miracle and how good it is and is quite capable of bringing peace of mind and tranquility into life.

Room lighting is practically the main aspect in the interior. By combining light with shadow, we somehow create a mood in the house. Central lighting for all its attractiveness and economy - to illuminate the whole room once and for all, does not create comfort and some, hmm ... intimacy is a completely different matter, lamps with dim light, all kinds of sconces, table lamps and, of course, floor lamps. The latter, well, just the same aristocracy among the lamps.

Of course, the main function of a floor lamp is to provide a certain level of illumination of a room or part of it, but their usefulness does not end there. Whatever, not for dinner will be remembered, the designer would say that a floor lamp helps to "zone" the space. Obviously, the area in which the floor lamp is located is intended for relaxation - with a book, in an easy chair and with a cat on his lap. In addition to the obvious functions, there is also a latent functionality - decoration. You can choose an option for any style of interior. There are models that will successfully fit into the interior and will not distract attention to themselves; in contrast to them, there are many floor lamps that can become a kind of raisin in the interior of a living room or bedroom, and even a pantry. It all depends on what effect we expect from the presence of a floor lamp in the room.

If we talk about the advantages of floor lamps compared to wall or table lamps, then they have a number of obvious advantages:
to install a floor lamp, there is no need to drill holes in the wall (as is the case with wall lamps - sconces);
the floor lamp is mobile, we can move it to any place, turn it in any direction, as long as there is where to put the socket in the vicinity;
depending on the height of the floor lamp, it is able to visually increase the height of the room.

Floor lamps with a lampshade, this is the most classic version of a floor lamp, consisting of a stand, a tall tripod and a lampshade fixed to its peak. It is the lampshade that is responsible for the technical characteristics of the device, the level of diffusion and background illumination. Well, the main contribution to the attractiveness of the lamp as a whole, as a rule, is behind it, behind the lampshade.

Many materials are traditionally used as a material for making a lampshade - fabric, fiberglass, glass, paper, ceramics, metal and plastic, well, all sorts of designers with homemade, not deprived of imagination, sometimes they will use this that at least take out the saints.

Having conceived to make a small table lamp, we faced the task of making a lampshade. It was decided to make it a rag one, for this a wire frame was needed. Since it was available, I used it.

What was used in the work.
Instruments.
A set of small locksmith tools, mallet, metal scissors. Good wire cutters. Soldering iron 65W with heating controller, accessories. Certainly a compass. Jewelry jigsaw with accessories. Small flux brush, abrasive paper. For varnishing - dishes, a brush.

Materials.
Galvanized steel wire with a diameter of 2mm. Solder POS-40, flux - "soldering acid" (zinc chloride). A small piece of galvanized steel. LMC, rags.

Lampshades of this kind at the factory are traditionally made by the method of contact welding, but here, in the absence of such, soldering is used.

Galvanized steel wire was used for the first time. The previous frame and similar works were made of brass for easy soldering. But the cost of brass wire used for one frame was approximately equal to the cost of a whole coil of galvanized steel, from which more than a dozen of such gizmos could be made. Practice has shown that the assembly is no less convenient, it is soldered, galvanized steel, it is good when choosing the appropriate flux. Was used "soldering acid" - zinc chloride. And the usual tin-lead POS-40.

First of all, we form "parallels" - rings. The wire was sold in the form of a small bay, and the cut pieces were trying to curl up into a ring anyway, they only had to be slightly tweaked. To fix the "parallels" in their places, small nails are hammered into the wooden template, they prevent the rings from sliding.

Rings - "parallels" are formed and soldered, we proceed to "meridians". It is convenient to measure the length with a string, I bit off the wire a little with a margin. The "meridian" was molded right on the template. On the arcuate part, the workpiece had to be straightened a little, reducing its radius; in the lower part, the workpiece was straightened almost completely. Marks were made with a pencil on a wooden blank, the wire of "parallels" in these places was cleaned with medium-sized sandpaper and tinned with zinc chloride. Then the soldering points at the “meridian” blanks were cleaned and tinned, and there was no need to mark them - two ends and a middle-bend. "Meridian" was applied in the right place, the middle was pressed with the left hand in a cloth glove, flux was applied and soldering was done. Then the ends of the "meridian" were soldered, it was even easier, the workpiece was molded so that the middle almost reached its place. After soldering it, the ends were tightly pressed against their "parallels".

For simplicity, the workpiece was marked "visually" by eye, that is. Soldered four "meridians", two, opposite each other. The angle is 90 degrees, it is well defined by the eye, further, the "meridians" are soldered into the middle of the empty sections, where the task of marking is also very simple - to divide the segment in half.

Several times we encountered such difficulties - a new ration, next to the old one. No "step soldering" with different solders, just an "old" soldering, an additional heat sink was organized in the form of pliers jaws. There was not enough heat to melt the solder and everything that was needed remained in place.

Well, the whole disc is evenly covered with "meridians", but something is rare. I wanted the finished rag lampshade to not have a blatant "facet". It was decided to add more "meridians" in between.

Well, this is more like a hemisphere. Let's leave. The small carnations were pulled out and the frame was carefully removed from the disc.

Now you need to attend to fixing it on the lamp. Lamp holder with a small E14 base, with a thread on the outside and a large carbolite nut on it. With this nut, the lampshade is clamped to the lamp.

The area for the nut was cut out with your favorite tool - a jewelry jigsaw with a large nail file. Made of 0.5mm galvanized "roofing" steel. A square blank is cut with scissors for metal, diagonals are drawn, at the intersection, the blank is slightly numbered. The leg of the compass is installed in this hole with confidence, without slipping.

Paradoxically, straight wires turned out to be not so easy to obtain - I had to work pretty hard with a mallet on a wooden hemp. It was decided to make fasteners at four points so as not to measure against the corners with a protractor (usually, three of them are made - they save the wire and it is somewhat easier to get to the light bulb).

Nowadays, many people strive to ensure that an atmosphere of comfort and beauty is always present in their home. As a rule, we do this with the help of various ideas that help us to make the decoration of the house in a certain style. We also try to decorate our interior with various decorative elements, bringing some mystery and originality into it.

In this article, we will focus on such an important interior detail as a do-it-yourself lampshade. If your favorite lampshade is completely worn out, you can always decorate it, thereby breathing new life into it. You can also make it yourself for a floor lamp, night lamp, ceiling or floor light source.

Advantages

The first lampshades were created two hundred years ago. Such an interesting name came to us from the French language and in translation means "muffled light"... As a rule, they were made of leather, wood or fabric, but lampshades made of multi-colored glass and crystal were especially popular and fashionable in those days.

You can also use whatever materials you like to create this beautiful and sophisticated decor item for your lamp.

In order to decorate the lampshade for the lamp yourself, you need to pick it up with a not too complicated design, so for this you will do the simplest floor lamps and night lamps. They can be both floor-standing and suspended. After all, interfering with their simple mechanism from a vertical base and a round frame will not be a big problem for you.

Usually, it is very easy to pick up parts for such lamps or replace them with a frame made of wire, wood or metal. The main thing is that the lamp with a lampshade is very firmly attached to its structure.... At the same time, a floor lamp with a lampshade will never be damaged or fall, and you can safely move it to any place convenient for you.

Master classes with description

Making or decorating lamps with lampshades is a creative and interesting activity, and at the same time very fruitful: it gives the opportunity not only to craft a unique decor element, and in full accordance with the style of the room, but also helps to save money. You just need to buy the most uncomplicated floor lamp or night light for little money and decorate it for every taste. Various manufacturing techniques and materials will help you with this.

At home, you can create lampshades for every taste. For this you will need any serviceable night light, lamp or floor lamp, as well as the frame and base for them. The lamp should be LED or energy saving so that the material from which your lampshade will be made does not deteriorate. When making such a decor item, you must carefully observe all safety standards, because working with electricity can carry a potential threat of fire or electric shock.

Try not to use materials that can be flammable and have a toxic composition during work, so as not to harm yourself and others. A frame of any shape can also be made independently from wire or purchased ready-made in advance.

As items for finishing the lamp, you can use the most extraordinary things, from children's toys to building materials or objects made of plastic and paper.

Made of wood

The most durable and moisture resistant are wooden lampshades that will serve you for a long time and at the same time will fit into any interior in a classic or modern style. But usually they are of great relevance for a bath or sauna. To make such a lamp out of wood with your own hands, you will need a roll of paper, a simple pencil, wood and self-tapping screws.

Using these materials, you can make a corner light:

  • To do this, on paper, draw a layout of the frame in the shape of a trapezoid. Please note that the side pieces must match the wall on which the luminaire will be mounted.
  • Next, take wood and apply a layout drawing on it and cut it out. Wood can be treated with paint or varnish. Make a frame from three wooden planks one centimeter wide and half a centimeter thick.
  • Combine the top and bottom of this frame at the sides and center. Measure from the middle to the edges and cut a few more planks of the same size. The strips must be fastened with self-tapping screws from the inside.

  • You can also make a lamp from vines or dry branches. To decorate a lamp made of dry twigs with your own hands, you will need twigs of various sizes, a lamp, a base for a lampshade, glue, paints, brushes.
  • Before gluing the branches to the base, sand it with sandpaper, then wipe it with alcohol. This will make the branches stick better. Next, take the branches and glue them in a different order to the base in a circle.
  • After the lampshade is completely dry, attach it to the lamp.
  • To make the lamp look bright and modern, paint the twigs with silver or gold acrylic paint. By combining these shades, your lampshade will turn out in a Nordic style and will decorate any interior.
  • You can also add a variety of decorative items such as cones, chestnuts, feathers, artificial leaves, beads, or sequins.

Weaving from vines and branches has never lost its relevance, and if there is a desire to please yourself, as well as create interesting decor items for the home, then you can do it yourself, only by studying the sequence and rules for working with such material as a vine.

For weaving a lampshade or various objects, you can use branches of all varieties. and you... This should be done in the spring before the first shoots appear on the branches, so that the product is of high quality and lasts a long time. An excellent material will be branches of willow, straw and reeds, which are also procured in advance. As a rule, this happens in the autumn season. And for a solid base of products, twigs are suitable walnut and willow.

You can select rods for the product in different sizes and make ribbons from them for decoration. You can also change the color of the product by holding it in water for some time. This will give it a more sophisticated appearance.

From paper

The advantage of a material such as paper is its availability and ease of making products of any shape. A lampshade made from newspaper tubes is one of the most popular and creative ways. To weave such a lamp shade, you will need newspapers or magazines, a bottle, scissors, glue, disc, paint or varnish.

Operating procedure:

  • The tubes are harvested in advance by folding and gluing, they also need to be dried well.
  • Next, we cross three tubes, put a bottle on them and weave in a spiral. Thus, the lampshade expands by superimposing the tubes on top of each other. Thus, we reach a certain size, glue and cut unnecessary tubes. After that, you need to paint the lampshade and varnish.

It will be very easy to make a paper lampshade with butterflies... You can also use various origami fakes.

The lamp frame is taken as the base of the lampshade. Next, we cut out a large number of butterflies according to the pattern and fasten them to the frame with a transparent fishing line or white thread. Such a product will look very original and will fit well into the child's room.

To decorate a paper lampshade, any decor elements will work. Let's consider some useful ideas for decorating such lamps. To add a little flair, get some butterflies from a stationery store, or make your own. Next, attach it to your lampshade. This idea of decorating a lighting fixture will appeal to any child or teenager.

An even more original idea is to decorate the lamp with special aromatic bags containing dried herbs and essential oils. This will create a romantic and cozy atmosphere in your room or bedroom.

The pleasant scent of herbs and flowers will always be present next to you.

If you are fond of collecting herbarium from flowers and leaves and decided to use them to decorate the lampshade, then you definitely cannot go wrong creating such an unusual decor element. You just need to glue them onto the finished lamp and let the glue dry. So you can do it rustic lampshade, which will decorate any interior in the country or in the house.

Wallpaper lampshade would be a great idea. Its creation does not require large costs and efforts. Consider the most interesting option, made in the form of an accordion. This will require a lamp frame and wallpaper. On the section of wallpaper you need, draw stripes, the distance between which will be at least two centimeters. Then fold the wallpaper into an accordion shape and make holes on the top of the cut. Then you need to thread a lace through them to fix and glue the structure.

Another idea for creating a lampshade - from a napkin. To do this, you need to have glue, crocheted napkins and a balloon. Next, we take napkins and coat with glue, put them on a balloon and wait for them to dry completely. The ball can be pierced or lowered, and a light bulb can be attached to the resulting lampshade.

Napkins can also be made of paper. Cut them into equal parts, glue the lamp with glue and glue to its surface. You can attach a ribbon or braid to the bottom or top of the luminaire for a more vintage look.

From scrap materials

To make a lampshade from scrap materials, you should initially decide from what means it will be made, and you also need to have a frame for the lamp. A balloon or a ball can serve as such a basis.

Another option for the material for creating the frame of the lampshade is a regular five-liter plastic bottle. To do this, you will need to cut off the top of the bottle and paint it from the inside with any light paint, and from the outside with blue or green. To make the edges of the bottle look neater, tape the edges of the bottle to match the color of your lampshade.

With your own hands you can make lampshade made of plastic cups. To do this, you need a stapler, wire, a wooden base and a lamp holder. Next, the glasses are fastened in a circle to each other, and a cartridge with a lamp and a structure made of cups are attached to a wooden base.

Such an original and practical lampshade will serve as a worthy addition to your interior.

Any material at hand can be used when decorating a lampshade. Cocktail tubes are no exception. To do this, it is necessary to prepare about two hundred straws, which are glued to the glass base of the lamp with the help of construction glue. And from finely chopped multi-colored tubes, you can make a small night light in the shape of a cube.

The easiest decoration solution is to glue the cocktail tubes vertically to make the old lamp even brighter and more beautiful.

It will not be difficult to make a lampshade made of simple galvanized wire and beads. This will require a pair of wire cutters and pliers to shape the wire into a variety of shapes.
