How to fix a wall hung toilet. Installation of suspended and floor installation of the toilet bowl

It is not always convenient to use curtains. In some cases, blinds are more practical and more convenient. They make it possible not only to protect yourself from immodest glances in the evenings, but also to regulate the level of illumination during the day by turning the lamellas (plates). We will talk about how to install blinds on plastic windows in this publication.

Structures and installation methods

Blinds on windows are of two types - vertical and horizontal. Vertical slats are usually made of plastic or special dense fabric, cut into strips 10-15 cm wide. Less common are aluminum slats or synthetic threads.

Lamellas of horizontal blinds happen plastic, wooden and metal. Regardless of the type and material, they consist of a cornice and lamellas. Eaves - a plastic or aluminum U-shaped section in which the controls are located and to which the lamellas are suspended. Lamellas - horizontal or vertical stripes / plates, which actually close the opening. In order to be able to open and close the blinds, there are controls - chains or threads.

In horizontal models, there is also a control rod associated with a rotary mechanism. By rotating the rod, the angle of inclination of the lamellas is changed. This is how you can change the amount of light and the "transparency" of the window. If the slats are placed vertically (almost), they completely block the view. When horizontal, they almost do not interfere with the review, but there are still a lot of other positions.

Installation of horizontal and vertical blinds

When installing blinds, you need to fix the eaves. For fixing it, specially designed brackets are included in the kit. These brackets are attached to the window or wall, and the cornice is simply put on them (until it clicks).

There are several ways to install blinds on plastic windows:

The installation method of the blinds will have to be determined even before the purchase: the dimensions of the canvases depend on this. So the type of installation must be selected before measurements.

We take measurements

With the type of blinds (horizontal, vertical) and the method of their installation (on the wall, ceiling, in the window on the sash, in the window opening) you need to decide before buying. And even before the moment you start measuring. Because different installation methods require different sizes. Only with correctly made measurements, it will be easy to install blinds on plastic windows.

Another important point: each window needs to be measured separately.. Sometimes it just seems that they are exactly the same. Believe me, there is a difference. And the measurement results must also be recorded and signed, which specific window you measured and which sash it is. Accurate and detailed records will help to avoid confusion during purchase and installation.

In the window opening

Although the appearance of the products is different, when measuring there is no difference between horizontal and vertical models. If you are going to install blinds in a window opening, you need to subtract 2 cm from its width on each side. You can subtract 1-3 cm from the height of the opening. Such gaps are needed so that the canvas hangs freely in the opening and the lower edge of the slats does not rub against the window sill.

Please note that you can install blinds on plastic windows "in the opening" not flush with the edge of the opening, but deeper - at the very glass or stepping back 5 or more centimeters from the edge. If the opening has a trapezoidal shape, the height/width of the opening will be smaller for the glass, so we take measurements carefully. And yet, in this case, it is better to put marks for installation when measuring. Then you will know exactly where you will need to install the blinds on the plastic windows so that their dimensions fit perfectly.

On the ceiling or wall

Here the measurements depend on your desires. The length of the blinds can be up to the floor or just up to the windowsill. Moreover, depending on the type of installation chosen, the lamellas can cover the window sill or not. So the length is whatever you like.

This is a wall mount. When mounted on the ceiling, the length will increase., And how much - you choose

The width of the blinds with this installation method is wider than the window opening. How much wider depends on your desire, but the minimum entry is 5 cm on each side. But if the window is in the same plane with the wall surface, you will need additional brackets that are not included in the package: the slats must be placed at least 5 cm from the glass surface so that they do not interfere with opening the sashes for ventilation.

on sashes

When installing blinds on a multi-leaf window, there are two possibilities - put one device on each sash or order one long one for the entire window. Usually the first option is chosen - it makes it possible to open and close the sashes with the blinds lowered. If you choose this installation method, you will need to measure each sash and record the results. Sash can be different, so be careful.

The width of the blinds when installed on the sash is taken 3 cm wider than the glass. When hanging, the lamellas overlap by 1.5 cm on the profile. It is convenient and does not interfere with opening / closing windows. The length depends on the location of the fastener, but usually it is 5 cm longer than the height of the glass.

Once again, we draw your attention: we measure each sash!

How to install blinds on plastic windows: fasten to a wall or window opening

The first step is to mark up. We install brackets in the eaves. We place them on the right and left so that they do not interfere with the operation of the blinds. The installation height depends on the selected product length.

We apply the curtains, mark with a pencil on the wall the places for installing fasteners in the brackets. If we mount horizontal blinds (they are light and create almost no load), it is enough to put one self-tapping screw / dowel. Vertical ones are heavier, so you need to install all the fasteners from the kit.

There is also a second way. At the selected level, use the building level to draw a horizontal line, try to avoid tilting - this will affect the blinds (skew). Attach the bottom of the bracket to this line, use a pencil to mark the holes through the holes for drilling. If the length of the cornice is more than 2 m, an additional bracket is required to increase the rigidity of the structure, which is attached in the middle.

When attaching to brick or concrete, at the marked points, we drill holes in the wall or ceiling. Drill or hammer - who has what is available. The diameter of the drill depends on the size of the dowels. They usually come with a kit, but you can put your own.

We insert expansion dowels into the finished holes, carefully hammer them with a hammer. We put the brackets, fasten them with screws or nails (if using a dowel-nails). We install the eaves on the brackets, insert the plugs on the sides. For horizontal blinds, attach a rod (handle) to control the swivel mechanism. To do this, install a special hook (included) directly into the mechanism itself, attach the tip of the rod to this hook.

Installation of horizontal blinds on PVC window sashes

With this method of installation, the blinds are fastened with small self-tapping screws (included) in the window profile. Install them so that they do not interfere with the handle to turn. Be careful: if you drill too close to the glazing bead, you can damage the glass unit. Therefore, in this case, correct measurements are very important.

Installation step by step

The procedure is as follows:

Having to drill holes in a window frame can be intimidating, but there's nothing to worry about. In case of incorrectly made holes, unsuccessful ones can be filled with sealant. White silicone, not acrylic (acrylic quickly turns yellow). The characteristics of the windows will not be affected. What can be dangerous is getting into a double-glazed window. Then it might crack. But this is not fatal - it can be replaced, although it will not be cheap.

Installing the bottom brackets

But that's not all. To finally install horizontal blinds on plastic windows, you need to drill a couple more holes - under the latches (also called anti-wind). These are additional fasteners at the bottom of the opening sash of the window. The lower edge of the blinds is tucked into them. They do this so that when airing the blinds do not hang down, do not dangle from the wind and do not knock down objects on the windowsill.

Don't chat...

We set the clamps like this: we try on, pulling the blinds down a little, mark the places of fasteners, drill holes, install. We fill the lower bar into the installed clamps. Now, even with a draft or an open sash, the blinds will not hang out. The only thing to watch out for during installation is not to get into the glazing bead (this is a long bar that runs along the double-glazed window and holds it). It is necessary to drill a hole in the frame itself, stepping back at least 1 cm from the edge. Otherwise, there are no problems.

without drilling

There is also a way to install blinds on plastic windows and not drill the frame. This method is available only for those blinds that are hung on opening sashes. In this case, they are simply hung on plastic mounts / brackets that are put on the frame from above. To prevent them from moving, a strip of double-sided tape is attached to the back of the bracket. After removing the protective film, it can be glued (but you can not fix it).

These L-shaped plastic brackets are not included, but you can buy them from a store or from a company that sells horizontal blinds. This method is convenient by simply dismantling the blinds, which is convenient if they need to be repaired or washed.

Assembly of vertical blinds

Vertical blinds are installed in exactly the same way as described above. The difference is that the slats are installed after the eaves are fixed (the guide along which the runners move). For convenience, before attaching the slats, you can turn the sliders with an adjustment cord so that the slots in them are perpendicular to the eaves. Next, simply snap the lamellas into the sliders, inserting the strip until it clicks. So, in turn we fix all the lamellas.

If the slats are made of fabric, then after installing them, do not forget to insert the lower weight. Next, we attach the lower connecting chain to the lamellas.

Installation of vertical blinds is completed.

How blinds are attached to plastic windows, on self-tapping screws and on adhesive tape

Hello. This time you will learn how to fix blinds on plastic windows. The topic of the article is interesting in that plastic or aluminum blinds are replacing less practical fabric curtains everywhere. Therefore, if you decide to make the windows in your apartment more modern and easy to use, the following photo reports on the installation performed are exactly what you need.

Actual fastening methods

Blinds are fastened to a plastic window in two ways:

  • With the use of self-tapping screws - the PVC profile will be drilled, and therefore, when dismantling the blinds, there will be holes that will not be easy to cover;
  • Without the use of self-tapping screws - the PVC profile will be intact and this is good, but the structure installed on top of the profile will be held less firmly in comparison with analogues fixed on self-tapping screws.

I don’t know which horizontal blinds you chose, and therefore I’ll tell you about the installation of each of the listed varieties separately and in detail.

Mounting using self-tapping screws

Blinds include the following:

  • The main structure of lamellas in the amount of 2 pcs. (one for each sash);
  • Fasteners for the upper part, 2 pieces for each sash;
  • Fasteners for the lower part, 2 pieces for each sash;
  • Self-tapping screws 20 mm long, 4 pcs. for each sash.

Do-it-yourself installation instructions are as follows:

  • We unpack the blinds and unwind the adjusting cord;

  • Remove the adjusting bar (cane);

  • We fasten the upper fasteners to the upper profile of the device so that the fasteners do not interfere with the operation of the mechanisms located inside the profile;

  • Next, we dissolve the slats so that they take a position characteristic of open blinds;
  • We apply the upper profile to the window so that the lower bar is located just below the glazing bead on the frame, that is, so that the glass is completely covered;

  • We mark the location of the fasteners on the window frame;

When marking, I recommend using the spirit level so that the upper bar is located exactly on the horizon and does not have distortions. If the window was initially installed skewed, we make the markup not according to the spirit level, but taking into account the location of the sashes.

  • According to the pre-made markup, we install fasteners on self-tapping screws;

The surface of the PVC profile is smooth, and therefore it will most likely not be easy to screw the screw along the mark. Therefore, before screwing in the self-tapping screw, we drill holes in the profile with a diameter of 2 mm, which is 1 mm less than the diameter of the self-tapping screws. It will not be difficult to screw the screw through pre-made holes.

  • After the fasteners are installed, we apply the upper bar to them and snap it in with a little effort;

  • From the outside, we finally fix the structure with plugs that are put on the holders until a characteristic click appears;
  • We lower the blinds so that the lower lamella is located in the lowest position;
  • We make markings for the lower fasteners so that they are located at the level of the ends of the lower bar;

  • We install fasteners on self-tapping screws;
  • We snap the bottom bar into the fasteners;
  • We install the adjusting bar on the original mount;

  • We check the performance of the installed blinds by opening and closing the gap between the slats.

Operation and maintenance

So we found out how to attach blinds to plastic windows on self-tapping screws. Among the recommendations for the use and maintenance of installed structures, I note the following:

  • We scroll the adjusting bar around its axis smoothly, since the hook with which it is attached to the mechanism is rather fragile;
  • In order to wash the window, we snap off the lower lamella and assemble the blinds upwards, this is enough to wipe the entire glass;
  • I recommend removing dust from the lamellas with a peacock-type whisk;
  • I recommend that immediately after the dust is removed, apply an antistatic aerosol to the slats, any of your choice.

Mounting without screws

Now I'll tell how to fix plastic blinds on modern double-glazed windows without using self-tapping screws.

In what case can fasteners without drilling be relevant? There are many such cases, for example, the use of rented housing, where, according to the terms of the contract, it is impossible to spoil the elements of the surroundings.

To perform installation work, you will need a set of conventional horizontal blinds with light plastic slats, double-sided tape and ordinary scissors.

The instructions for attaching blinds to plastic windows without the use of self-tapping screws are as follows:

  • Unpack the set of blinds;
  • We disconnect the adjusting bar from the main unit so that it does not subsequently interfere with the installation;
  • We lay the main block inside out;
  • We unwind double-sided tape to the length of the case;

  • We remove the protective film on one side of the adhesive tape and on the back side of the block, as shown in the photo;

We select double-sided tape so that the width of the tape is equal to the width of the blinds block. We glue the adhesive tape so that it is flush with the walls of the block. In addition, carefully smooth the glued adhesive tape from the inside, so that it sticks evenly over the entire surface.

  • We apply the blinds to the window and determine their position on the upper part of the sash;
  • Having decided on the location, we make marks on the profile corresponding to the ends of the block;

  • Next, remove the remaining protective strip from the double-sided adhesive tape and glue the block according to the marks made earlier to the profile;

  • We install the previously removed adjusting bar and on this installation can be considered completed.

How strong will blinds be held with double sided tape?

The actual operation of the blinds installed on adhesive tape shows that for 1.5 years the structure lasted without any changes, that is, it did not warp or fall. I think that in the course of the next two or three years the situation will not change.

When mounting the blinds block, only the upper part is glued to the adhesive tape, while the lower bar is not fixed. This practically does not affect the operation of the device, except that when the sash is opened towards itself, the lower part of the blinds will move forward and touch the indoor flowers on the windowsill.

I told my friends about this method of installation. I was told that the method is not bad, but they will not use it, since the tape after removal will leave characteristic marks that are difficult to remove. Is it really?

Marks will remain, but it will not be difficult to remove the remaining glue from the frame. It is enough to moisten a rag with sunflower oil and wipe the plastic surface and the glue spots will disappear by themselves. To more effectively remove stains from adhesive tape, we moisten the rag not with sunflower oil, but with WD-40.

By the way, you can successfully apply these methods to remove traces from any adhesive tape and from a variety of stickers.

Conclusion

I talked about the most popular types of fastening blinds to plastic windows. I hope that these photo reports and instructions will be useful to you. If something is not clear or questions appear during installation, ask them in the comments. I promise I will answer quickly!

Finally, I remind you that you will find a lot of interesting and useful things by watching the video in this article.

Modern horizontal blinds have long been a worthy and practical replacement for classic curtains and traditional curtains. They do not require special care and perfectly protect the living space from bright sunlight and prying eyes.

Advantages of horizontal blinds

The benefits of blinds are undeniable. The cost of such light-shielding structures is relatively low, and the service life is more than long. In addition, they are convenient, functional and practical both in care and in daily use, thanks to the available mechanical control, you can easily and quickly adjust the intensity and direction of the light flux. A separate argument in favor of horizontal blinds is the possibility of installation on windows of a non-standard configuration (for example, on inclined roof-type windows).

By the way! It is with the help of blinds that you can visually correct the proportions of the living space. So, vertical slats will visually raise a low ceiling, and horizontal ones will make a compact room more spacious.

Varieties of horizontal blinds

Depending on the material from which the lamellas (cross bars) are made, the blinds are aluminum, plastic, wood and bamboo. Light-shielding aluminum structures are most often used for arranging loggias and balconies. Plastic products are ideal for the kitchen and bathroom - they perfectly tolerate frequent cleaning and are not afraid of moisture. Eco-blinds made of natural materials - wood and bamboo - the best solution for arranging a children's room, bedroom and living room.

Installation options for horizontal blinds

Horizontal blinds are a fairly simple design, which usually consists of a decorative cornice and a standard set of fittings - slats, runners, weights, a rope and a mechanical control chain. That is why the installation of blinds can be done by hand - without the involvement of helpers and craftsmen, the cost of whose services, by the way, is about 15-20% of the price of the product. Usually, an independent process of assembling and hanging a structure takes no more than an hour. Depending on the overall interior and dimensions of the room, horizontal blinds are installed either inside the window opening or above it.

Installation of horizontal blinds in the window opening

Installation of the structure in the window opening occurs in the following order:

  1. First of all, unpack the blinds and lay aside the fasteners - metal brackets and screws.
  2. Next, mark up for fasteners. To do this, blinds and brackets at the attachment points are applied to the inner upper part of the opening. Pay attention to the marking of the fasteners: LH / GH - clamps for the left side, RH / DH - for the right.
  3. Then they make an internal indent from the edges of the opening (about 20-25 mm) and draw marks for the screws (a pair of screws for each bracket). In the marked places, holes are drilled with a drill with a depth of 35-40 mm.
  4. Now the brackets are fixed in the upper part of the slope with self-tapping screws, and the upper profile of the blinds with screws. When checking the assembly quality of the structure, pay attention to the following points: the rope and chain should not get stuck in the control mechanism and twist, and the runners should move freely along the eaves line.

Installing horizontal blinds on a window opening

Installation of the structure over the window opening is carried out in a slightly different order:

  1. To begin with, the blinds are applied above the window at the planned location and appropriate marks are made at the level of the ends of the upper guide structure.
  2. Now, from the end marks, make an internal indent (20-25 mm) and mark the points for attaching the brackets. Then they are fixed to the wall with self-tapping screws, having previously drilled holes at the marks.
  3. If the length of the blinds exceeds 1.8-2.0 m, a central connector is additionally installed between the brackets - otherwise, sagging of the massive structure cannot be avoided.
  4. After that, the upper profile of the blinds is hung on the brackets and fixed with screws or special locks. Upon completion of installation, the operation of the mechanisms of the installed structure is checked.

To speed up the process of hanging blinds, carefully study the installation tips from the manufacturer. As a rule, each product is accompanied by an instruction with a detailed description and installation diagram.

Try to remove the tulle and curtains - and you will see how empty the room becomes. At present, a large number of options for curtains are being created. It's not just about the fabric. Today, blinds are often used as curtains. They perfectly protect the house from the sun's rays and prying eyes. These products are easy to assemble and dismantle. However, some are faced with certain problems: not everyone knows how to install blinds on plastic windows. In this article, we will try to understand this in detail.

Kinds

To create comfort, there are more than 10 types of blinds: vertical and horizontal, roller and pleated, attic and inter-frame, for arches and bay windows, Roman blinds and multiimpressive, electric and protective (rollers), photoblinds.

Blinds can be wooden, bamboo, metal (aluminum), fabric, plastic, paper.

Ease of use, reliability in operation, affordable price, light-shielding properties have led to the fact that horizontal blinds have become one of the most popular types. They are used in the design of windows and other openings (in a variety of rooms). But most often they are still used for windows, and in the modern world - for plastic options.

Features of installing cassette models

If the owner installs the blinds on his own, the manufacturer often refuses warranty obligations. There are quite understandable explanations: due to incorrect installation, the sashes may simply not work, which means that the curtains will be unusable. In addition, improper installation can damage the glass itself and/or the frame.

If you are not confident in your own abilities, then it is better to contact the master.

If you still decide to do everything yourself, firstly, you need to determine the methods of fastening. Secondly (depending on the chosen method) - purchase blinds. Thirdly, it is necessary to prepare tools and materials.

Mounting methods

There are several mounting methods (depending on the window opening):

  • If the window opening needs to be visually enlarged, then the cassette can be attached to the wall above the opening. The block itself can be much wider than the window opening, and the height of the structure can be much higher than the frame itself. In appearance, these can be full-fledged curtains;
  • If the window opening is wide enough, the window sill is used as an additional (for example, flower) shelf, in this case the cassette can be attached to the upper slope of the opening - similar to installation on the ceiling. In this case, the window will visually look larger, and on the windowsill, by closing the blinds, it will be possible to hide important objects from prying eyes. In addition, with this fastening, the flowers will not be in eternal shade;
  • If the window itself is large enough and does not require a visual increase (or the window sill is narrow), then the blinds can be attached to the fixed window frame, to the opening sash, to the glazing.

Necessary materials

Having decided on the method of fastening, then it is worth preparing the necessary tools, including:

  • Roulette. Its length should be sufficient to measure the width and height of the window opening in one go. If you yourself report the dimensions of future blinds to the manufacturer, you need to take measurements, focusing on the chosen method of fastening. If the cassette is mounted on the frame itself, then the width of the lamellas (plates) should be 2-3 cm less than it. Otherwise, the canvases of individual cassettes will interfere with each other. If you still made a mistake with the dimensions, then keep in mind that even metal lamellas (plates) can be carefully cut with ordinary scissors on both sides - to maintain symmetry;
  • Marker or pencil for marking;
  • Phillips screwdrivers and (or) a screwdriver;
  • Drill or puncher - for attaching to a wall or ceiling;
  • Dowels, screws and brackets;
  • PVA glue or liquid nails - in case the hole turned out to be larger than the dowel, and it needs to be more securely fixed in the wall or on the ceiling;
  • pliers;
  • Hammer;
  • Plumb (for example, from a thread and a bolt);
  • A level that helps to correctly position the structure;
  • Stepladder or desktop (chair).

So, the blinds are ready and unpacked. Everything you need is also prepared. It's time to start fastening, considering various methods of fastening.

How to hang on the wall?

If you are going to make markings for the brackets on the wall, you need to assemble the blinds, focusing on the instructions:

  • At a distance of about 15 cm from the edges of the product, places for fastenings should be marked. Do this with a tape measure and a level.

  • The bracket must not be located at the fixing point of the latch or at the place of the control system, otherwise it will interfere with the operation of the blinds. The distance between the brackets should be no more than 60 cm. As a rule, the width of the cassette block does not exceed 2.2 m. If the window is large, then several blinds are made. The rule remains in any case: the wider the block, the more brackets will be required for reliable fastening.

  • After installing the brackets, you need to push the latch forward. Gently (tilting slightly towards the wall) insert the upper cornice under the latch of the bracket, press it firmly against the wall and turn the latch 90 degrees to the left as far as it will go.

  • Turning the slats to the "open-closed" position is carried out using the control knob included in the kit. The length of the handle should not exceed 2/3 of the length of the canvas. If the handle is longer, then it must be removed from the frame, open the protective cap, cut off the excess length, put the cap back on and hang it on the frame.

How to attach to the ceiling yourself?

The principle of fastening the cassette model to the ceiling or the upper slope of the window opening is the same as when fastening to the wall. Differences will be observed in the way the brackets are mounted. When mounting the bracket to a wall, horizontal holes are used, and when mounting to a ceiling or upper slope, vertical holes are used.

The technology is as follows:

  • Using a tape measure, determine the center of the window opening and mark it symmetrically (relative to the center). If you are going to fasten the brackets, attach a cassette with blinds and check how they work: do the canvases interfere with each other and the free movement of the cords, do they touch the opening.

  • Then connect the marks and check the horizontal level. Using a drill or a puncher, drill holes: for a self-tapping screw with a 2.5 mm drill, for a dowel - depending on the plastic part.
  • If you are going to fasten the brackets, once again check with a level that the cassette is correctly positioned. It remains only to fix the brackets, fasten the eaves by turning the latch to the left by 90 degrees and insert the plugs. If you fastened the cornice with the canvas, it means that the work is done. If not, then it remains to attach the canvas.

Sash mounting

The cassette block can be attached directly to the frame using self-tapping screws, violating the integrity of the window frame. But it is possible to attach blinds without drilling.

If you decide to use self-tapping screws, then their length should not exceed 10 mm, so as not to pierce the window frame through and not to violate the tightness of the window block. After marking and fastening the brackets with self-tapping screws, it is necessary to attach the blinds in the manner described earlier (insert the cornice, turn the latch to the left).

You can learn more about how to fix vertical aluminum blinds to a plastic window sash using drilling.

Install without drilling

If you decide to do without self-tapping screws and violating the integrity of the double-glazed window, then you can use double-sided tape or brackets - clips. Moreover, with adhesive tape, you can attach the cassette both to the frame itself and to the window sash. But the brackets can only be used on the sashes.

With double sided tape

Adhesive tape should be used intended for construction work, and not for paper. This tape is not sold in the stationery store. You need to look for it in building materials stores and car dealerships.

There are two ways to install blinds with adhesive tape:

  • stick the adhesive tape directly on the cassette, and stick it to the window (sash);
  • glue the brackets-clamps on the adhesive tape, and already attach the cassettes to them.

In any case, when using adhesive tape as a material for attaching blinds, you must adhere to the following instructions:

  1. This type of work should be carried out in the warm season, the double-glazed window should not be cold or covered with condensate.
  2. It is necessary to wash the frame or glass, dry the attachment point and wipe it with acetone or solvent.
  3. Make markings with a pencil, cassette, level; in this case, the line must be strictly parallel to the window sill so that a skewed gap does not form below. If the window sill itself is located with a slope, then you need to focus on the level and plumb line, otherwise the lamellas (blind plates) will interfere with each other when closing. Their functionality will be broken.
  4. Remove the protective film from the adhesive tape and carefully stick strictly along the intended line.
  5. Attach the canvas if it was not attached initially.

With bracket clamps

Clamps-brackets are very convenient for window sashes. There are several options for such clamps (plastic and metal), but they are all very easy to use. You can use them with the following simple instructions:

  1. When assembling the cornice, you need to fasten the canvas and assemble it. It will be possible to fasten the canvas at the end of the installation work.
  2. Try on the clip on the cornice, check the unit's performance.
  3. Depending on the specific clamp model, open the window sash and snap the clamp (upper edge of the window sash) into place. You can first separate the curtain rod and clips, snap them onto the sash - and then attach the curtain rod to the clip.
  4. Some models of clips are equipped with limiters that need to be fixed to the eaves.
  5. Attach the magnetic clips to the bottom of the window sash.
  6. Fasten the canvas, if it has not already been done.
  7. Fasten the magnets from the lower bar of the blind unit and the clips on the sash.

How to remove blinds?

Since there are a lot of models of blinds cassettes, there are also many ways to remove them.

If your blinds are mounted on twist brackets, then they are removed by turning the latch to the right by 90 degrees, while holding them. After turning, the cornice weakens, its upper edge needs to be tilted slightly towards the wall. The cassette comes out of the grooves, the blinds are removed. Depending on the purpose for which you remove the blinds, the canvas can be pre-assembled or left loose.

If the blinds are made in the form of a full-fledged curtain rod, then you need to very carefully (but at the same time applying a little effort) disconnect the upper decorative strip. Under it is the curtain mechanism. Pick up the canvas from the bottom up. Lift the blinds up and to the right, taking them out of the slots.

From the video below you can learn how you can independently remove horizontal blinds from removable latches-fasteners.

Blinds have recently gained extraordinary popularity not only in offices, they are also happy to be placed in residential premises. Mounting blinds on windows - perfectly protects from direct sunlight, without interfering with airing and opening windows at all.

Manufacturers offer several types of blinds

  • vertical;
  • Horizontal;
  • Accordion or pleated;
  • Roll type folding.

Vertical blinds have the form of vertical slats (strips) connected to each other, which move around their axis with the help of a plastic chain. Also, they can be moved left or right.

The principle of operation of horizontal blinds is the same as vertical ones. Only folding occurs from the bottom up.

Pleated - look like an accordion, for this they are impregnated with special means so that they keep their corrugated shape. They can be fixed both on a plastic window and on a window opening.

Roller blinds - have the form of a continuous canvas that can be rolled up, while opening or closing part or all of the window.

Lamellas according to their materials can be:

  • metal;
  • wooden;
  • bamboo;
  • plastic;
  • made from fabric.

What blinds are the best option for a balcony?

Before you start placing blinds on plastic windows, you should understand whether they are needed at all. Will they become a hindrance when closing or opening a window.

One thing can be said for sure - if a loggia or balcony is converted into a separate room, then blinds are a must.

When choosing blinds, in addition to design and appearance, special attention should be paid to the following points:

  • functionality and practicality of fasteners;
  • keep in mind that not all types of fasteners are suitable for window blocks;
  • practicality of blinds;
  • it is better to choose plastic or fabric material for a balcony, wood and bamboo can create unnecessary noise.
