Decorative plaster world map - everything about the material and application technology. Decorative plaster «world map» Application type Fur coat

Decorative plaster "world map" is a kind of texture that appears on the wall surface. The work uses a number of components and lime mixture. Structural decorative plaster must be applied to obtain the map effect.

Read about the features of this type of plaster, application technology and tools that will be needed in the work below..

Decorative plaster map of the world is an image of continents, seas, islands and oceans that appear on the wall in the process of work. When applied, it looks like a stone effect. Only in our case the emphasis is not on texture, but on drawing. This type of decorative plaster strikes with the softness of the transition of colors, which can be independently controlled and modified. The surface can be matte, glossy or pearlescent. In short, it is a type of travert that is becoming more popular.

Preparation of tools and surfaces

There are a number of manufacturers specializing in the release of the cover of the same name, thanks to which you can get the effect of a world map. There are two ways:

 1. Buy material imitating natural stone travertine. With its help, you can get the desired pattern.
 2. The most desirable option is the purchase of ingredients, in the name of which there is the phrase "world map".

It is interesting that the technology of applying layers is practically the same. Here the emphasis should be placed on other things: preparing a quality tool for work:

 1. You should have a spatula made of stainless steel on hand.
 2. Don't forget the Venetian trowel or alloy steel trowel.
 3. In addition, you will need a fine-nap roller.
 4. Foam roller and / or sponge.
 5. Brush.

When the working tool is ready, you can begin the preparatory process.

The wall should be smooth and level. Otherwise, you will not achieve the desired result. Work is performed on a clean and already plastered surface.

It is important to use a stainless steel tool, because the working composition is a snow-white solution. If you take another tool, there is a high probability of rusting on it.

There should be no protruding metal bumps on the wall, as you can end up with “rusty islands”.

It is necessary to prime the work surface twice. In the first case, we work with a pile roller.

note,

that the deep penetration primer dries for 12 hours.

If you are using a quality product with a travertine effect, you do not need to apply the first coat of primer.

Experts recommend using a quartz sand primer for good adhesion. At the same time, try to choose a material with a fine fraction, which is applied to the wall with a foam roller. After all, it is important that the grains of sand lay down evenly over the entire wall. Having thus prepared the surface, you can start applying the first layer.

Application of the first layer

Plastering the world map involves several stages of surface treatment and preliminary tinting. The first layer is applied to the thickness of the fraction, which is a working layer of 1.52 mm. The plaster is taken from the bucket with a spatula, then transferred to the trowel. It is important to cover the entire edge of the working tool with a solution. After that, the mixture is evenly rubbed over the wall. At this stage of processing the wall, there is no need to smoothen the solution strongly. Depending on the material chosen, you can roll over the wet plaster with a fine-nap roller. As a result of such actions, the plaster is covered with a fur coat. This enhances the decorative effect of the first coat of the wall surface. Although most often work with a roller is not needed due to the granularity of the solution.

A few words about material consumption

For work, you need about 1.60-1.8 kg for 1m 2. Therefore, 25 kg of the mixture should be enough for 15-15 m2. If the working surface is 1 or 2m2 more, you should not buy another pack of the mixture. It is enough to dilute a bucket of 25 kg with water. Pay attention to the manufacturer's recommendations when using water.

Applying a second layer and creating a world map

There are a number of tricks you can use to apply the second coat. Today we will focus on one of the options in which you can create an expressive second layer.

The working mixture is applied with local islands. We work with a trowel, collecting a small amount of solution, and apply it to the work surface. We immediately grout, creating small islands.

On a note!

Try to make the edges uneven. This will add expressiveness to the drawing, as a result, you will get a high-quality drawing. Keep the trowel clean at all times. Do not apply too much material at once.

After creating the texture of the world map, apply gloss, wipe the surface with a trowel. Work should be done on a dry surface with light pressure on the tool.

It is not for nothing that at the beginning of the material (section tools) we drew attention to the fact that it is better to take a trowel made of steel. It will not blacken the coating. A number of experts recommend polishing 2 times, maintaining a five-minute interval.

Finishing

After applying two working coats, it is time for finishing. It's time to give the wall art a certain color. Metallized paint is suitable for finishing. Finishing with wax or varnish is often used. The wax can be applied with an ordinary, slightly damp sponge. You need to take wax on a sponge and rub it over the entire surface. To obtain an unusual overflow, the wax is rubbed in different directions in a circular motion. After applying the wax, the work can be considered completed. Similar actions and procedures are provided for varnish. Some paint the finished surface using a foam roller. It is believed that the drawing in this case is more expressive.

DIY making

Decorative plaster map of the world is served in stores ready-made. It can be special containers, or a dry mixture (powder). It needs to be diluted following the manufacturer's recommendations. Packaging tips.

But the working material can be made by yourself. If everything is done consistently and efficiently, then the coating will last a long time.

Various components can be used in the manufacture of plaster. Adding lime will give a clean surface, but too much lime can cause the decorative plaster to crack. The addition of gypsum gives strength, and the use of cement guarantees work in rooms with high humidity.

Finally

The decorative plaster in question is used in different premises. It can be combined with other materials, including paint, tiles, or wallpaper. This allows you to decorate any room to your taste and make the room unique..

Decorative plaster world map is a special texture that is obtained as a result of the use of certain lime mixtures. To achieve this effect, you will need structural decorative plaster, after work, with which you get a coating that resembles islands and continents on a globe. Looking at the finished coating, you will probably have an association with a world map.

Selection of products and working tools

There are several manufacturers that produce the coating of the same name, thanks to which the effect of a world map is created. There are two ways to find a suitable solution. Look for products that have a "world map" in their name. In this case, you can be sure that decorative plaster is specially designed to create the effect of the same name. In the second case, you need to purchase a material that imitates the natural stone travertine. It also creates a "world map". The technology of work in both cases is the same and practically does not differ in anything.

A decorative plaster map of the world is applied using certain tools:

 • stainless steel spatula,
 • venetian trowel or alloy steel trowel,
 • fine-bristled roller,
 • foam roller,
 • sponge.

Surface preparation for basic work

The work surface must be flat and smooth. Only in this case you can get a beautiful effect of the world map, or as it is also called "islands". Work is carried out on a clean and putty surface. The solution is snow-white, so the work is performed only with stainless steel tools. Otherwise, rust may appear on the coating. For the same reason, there should be no protruding metal on the wall, otherwise "rusty islands" will end up.

The surface should be primed twice. The first layer is applied with a nap roller. Deep Penetration Primer dries in 12 hours. If the decorative plaster is a world map with a travertine effect, then the first layer is not necessary. For good adhesion, use a fine-grained quartz sand primer. It should be applied with a foam roller so that the sand lays down as evenly as possible.

Applying the first layer - all the nuances

Work is carried out with a snow-white solution, which does not require preliminary tinting. The first layer of structural decorative plaster is applied to the thickness of the fraction that is present in it. The layer thickness is usually 1.5-2 mm. Since the material is sold in buckets, we collect it from there during work. However, it is inconvenient to do this with a trowel, so the decorative plaster is drawn with a spatula, and then transferred to the trowel, so many times that the entire edge of the working tool is covered with a solution. Next, rub it against the wall with a trowel. Evenly and without joints. It is not required to smooth out the solution strongly.

The resulting first layer does not require smoothing. Depending on the material used, it may be necessary to roll over the wet plaster with a fine-nap roller. This is done so that the decorative plaster of the world map is covered with a fur coat. This enhances the decorative effect of the first coat. However, the granular structure of the solution is often sufficient, and it is not necessary to work with a roller.

Material consumption is 1.6-1.8 kg per 1 sq. M. (on both layers). In other words, a 25kg package should be enough for 14-15 square meters of wall. If you have an area of 1-2 sq.m. more, then you do not need to buy another solution in the empty, because a 25 kg bucket can be diluted with water (the manufacturer indicates the permissible limits). In this case, the decorative plaster will be slightly larger.

After the first coat has dried, you may need to sand it. It is not necessary to make the surface smooth, because the granular structure of the material should be visible. This procedure is often required if a fur coat was created with a roller. In this case, the solution is always stretched, and can create unnecessary relief. Walking along the wall with sandpaper, you can easily get rid of such a relief. The resulting first layer will serve as a substrate.

Applying a second layer and creating a world map

There are several techniques that can be used to create the second layer. We'll take a closer look at the option that creates the most expressive effect. Decorative plaster map of the world is applied to the wall with local islands. To do this, a small amount of solution is drawn up with the edge of a trowel, and then transferred to the wall. Immediately thereafter, the material is rubbed over the surface and small islands are created. The more uneven the edges of such an island are, the more expressive the final drawing will be.

It is important that the trowel is always clean and there is little material to be applied. In this case, the texture is formed immediately after each application of the solution to the wall. Smear the decorative plaster carefully, leaving a distance between the islands. We do not pursue the goal of creating large "pieces of sushi", because occasional small blotches will look very impressive.

You can always apply the same amount of solution to the trowel. Do not be afraid that the picture will turn out to be of the same type, it is not. However, you can create islands of different sizes for variety.

After creating the texture of the world map, you need to polish - wipe the surface with a trowel. You just need to draw with a trowel on the dry surface with pressure. It's like polishing, only with a lot of effort. As a result, the outer edge should be flat and smooth. It is for glossing that we need an alloy steel trowel, because another material can blacken the coating. Our solution is white, and it is too early to change its color. Some people advise to do the glossing twice with an interval of five minutes.

Since the decorative plaster map of the world should be applied with your own hands very quickly, and the texture should be formed at a certain time, it is best to work in tandem with an assistant. Working alone, it is better to gradually process the entire wall in sections of 2-3 square meters. In this case, torn edges should be left at the joints so that there are no noticeable transitions.

Finish with wax, varnish or paint

Now we have a snow-white texture, which shows the grainy first layer and the protruding patterns of the second layer. It's time to give it all color. During painting, the first layer of decorative plaster will come out darker and the second lighter. So you don't even have to use different shades. In addition to metallized paint, you can use varnish or wax for finishing. Pearlescent paint will also work.

When using wax, you need a regular sponge, which must be wet to work with it. The wax is collected on a sponge and then rubbed over the entire surface. Decorative plaster map of the world will get a beautiful overflow if wax is applied in several places at once and rubbed in different directions. However, do not leave the edges torn for long. It is desirable that the movements are circular to distribute the wax as evenly as possible. After the wax has dried, the coating is ready. Working with varnish is done in much the same way.

You can additionally paint the dried wax with paint. For this purpose, you need a foam roller and a small amount of paint on it. Most of the material will remain on the raised parts of the surface, which will make the color difference even more significant and the pattern more expressive.

Other options for creating texture

The above process produces the most dramatic world map effect, but it is also quite complex. There are simpler options, they would also be worth paying attention to.

 1. A small amount of solution is applied to the entire surface of the trowel. Next, the trowel is lightly pressed against the wall with the entire surface, then removed. This is done on different parts of the wall until all the mortar from the trowel passes onto the wall. We have a kind of fur coat at a short distance from each other. Immediately after applying all the decorative plaster to the wall, it should be smoothed out with a trowel.
 2. Decorative plaster world map can be created with a regular brush. To do this, the brush is dipped into the solution with its tip, and then it touches the wall with it. This is very similar to the first option, but done with a brush. Then, again, with a trowel, the solution is pounded along the wall. In this case, the texture can be very uniform. Therefore, you can simply crumple a piece of cloth and wind it up with tape, making it look like a brush. Working with such an original tool, you can make your drawing more varied.
 3. The second layer can be applied with a sponge. The principle of operation is exactly the same as with a brush, but the drawing comes out more varied.
 4. Pneumatic tools can also be used. For example, a hopper gun. It is necessary to collect the solution into a container, and then it will be sprayed onto the wall under pressure. You can adjust the density with which the material will cover the wall. After that, the solution will need to be wiped with a trowel. With this option, you get a map of the world, but without large islands. Such a fine texture can be boring.

Original walls without stamps and repetitions, beautiful and stylish, with any pattern and in any shade - this is the finish with decorative textured plaster. With the help of one composition, an experienced master can make many different textures, and by adding colors - get absolutely any color scheme. Can a newbie handle this challenge? Yes, you just have to follow specific instructions. Each effect, pattern has its own application technology.

Preparation for application

If you have concrete walls, without coating, then this is great. They need to be coated with a deep penetration primer, after which you can proceed with the decorative coating.

If there were wallpapers on the walls, they must be completely removed. Spreading plaster, old paint lagging must be scraped off with a spatula. Dents, cracks, putty, and after drying, sand. When the walls are in a very poor condition - there are holes from pieces of concrete that have fallen out, the joints between the floor and the walls are very uneven, the holes are sealed with polyurethane foam, which is cut off after drying. From above, such places are putty or sealed with a leveling solution.

It is not necessary to make the walls perfectly even, it is important to hide only the defects that will be visible under the textured mixture. Small irregularities will be invisible after applying the relief.

After all obvious irregularities have been repaired, the walls are sanded and primed.

Our craftsman used coarse and fine grain skins, VGT primer and a nap roller. The primed walls dry for 3 hours.

Base coat application

After the primer is dry, you can start applying the first layer of textured plaster.

We used an inexpensive Russian one. The cost for a can of 18 kg is 3100 rubles. Consumption when applying two layers using the "world map" technique is about 1.7-2 kg per 1 sq. M.

The plaster is applied with a trowel for plastering in a thin layer equal to the thickness of the fraction (1.5-2 mm) using the plastering technique, i.e. with uniform rubbing. A flat surface should be obtained, uniform over the entire area.

The solution is used in a basic white color. It is more convenient to pick it up with a spatula and apply the required amount to the trowel so that the entire edge of the trowel is covered with a solution. And then cover the wall.

After the entire surface of the walls is covered with an even layer, the plaster is left to dry for at least 12 hours. After drying, the surface is slightly sanded, but not to smoothness, a granular structure should remain.

Texture application

In our case, we applied the picture "world map" - chaotic specks of different textures, or "islands".

The decorative mixture is applied with the same trowel. A small amount of plaster is spread on it with a spatula, which is smeared with a thin layer with oblique movements, creating separate "islands". The edges of these spots are made uneven, which is achieved by the edge of the trowel.

The more pronounced the unevenness of the edges, the more expressive the effect. The rest of the solution is applied with neat short strokes in the form of specks between large spots. This is how large and small "islands" are obtained, between which "seas" remain - the first layer of plaster peeking through.

To understand the process, watch our video instructions. You can master the technique by practicing on some surface.

Basic application rules

 • With each new application, the trowel must be clean, the mixture is applied to the edge of the tool.
 • Immediately after transferring a portion of the solution to the wall, the texture is formed.
 • Leave a distance between the "pieces of land". The islands can be of different sizes or approximately the same, all the same, the walls will be different over the entire surface.
 • If you decide to apply plaster "world map" with your own hands, it is better to work with an assistant. For individual work, the surface is processed gradually, in sections of 1-2 square meters.
 • After light drying of the created relief, it can be rubbed with a trowel, making movements with light pressure.

The applied texture "map of the world" is left to dry for at least 12 hours. Then they are primed with a thin layer.

Protective covering

In our project, a Russian production was chosen for protection. Textured plaster, glaze coating, or one thing can be painted. We have chosen to paint the glaze coating. It is easier and the color scheme is less expensive.

We chose a finish with a light silver effect and a trowel application. Other techniques involve applying with a brush, sponge, or special glove. When applied with a spatula, the filling of spots of the first layer of plaster is higher, but at the same time the consumption of paint is higher.

To prepare the solution, we took two cans of colorless composition and one can of silvery-white (the volume of a can is 0.9 l), as well as the color F113 for this volume of paint, but we added quite a bit of it to get a light cream shade.

Our master Vitaly rubbed the glazing compound with a spatula over the entire surface. The effect of using a spatula is more pronounced spots of the first layer, which we have beautifully cast with silver.

Our goal was to make the walls as light as possible in order to visually expand the space of a small room. You can use a protective coating with a different effect and tint it in any shade.

Decorative plaster "world map" - price

Let's calculate the cost of the material for creating a decorative coating "world map" using the example of a small room with a wall area of 25 square meters. m. So, we needed:

 • Primer - 5 l. Price RUB 500
 • Textured plaster - 3 cans of 18 kg. The cost of one can is 3100 rubles. Only 9300 rubles.
 • The cost of the F113 color scheme for 2.5 liters of paint is 14 rubles.
 • The glazing composition - 3 cans of 0.9 liters. Price per jar 705 rubles. Total RUB 2115
The price of decorative plaster "map of the world", excluding the cost of tools and services for applying on a wall area of 25 square meters - 11929 rubles.

Of particular interest for those who wish to make repairs to their home is decorative plastering technology... Indeed, in our time, this method has become quite common and fashionable. Therefore, it is worth considering how to apply decorative plaster with your own hands to make your home even more beautiful.

Water, polymers and fillers are used as a material for plaster, which we will talk about later. Thanks to plaster, you can perfectly level the surface, including brick, plasterboard, wood and others.

Tool for applying decorative plaster:

 • at the first stages, it is necessary to use a spatula, sandpaper and a building level;
 • on the second, add a grater and ironer;
 • after you need a roller with a pile;
 • now take a flexible spatula, trowel, suede mitten.

Different ways to apply decorative plaster with your own hands

Application technology Travertino - the order and stages of work

Consider the application technique for travertino decorative plaster. It can be divided into a preparation and finishing stage. The first applies exclusively base... But for the second, it is important to devote enough time. First, prepare the surface well, so the finish should adhere firmly to the walls. For this:

 • line up the walls. Especially we are talking about depressions of 1-1.5 cm;
 • do not touch up the clay-sand finish with gypsum fillers;
 • remove cracks. After all, they are not suitable for making plaster.

How to remove cracks? The following steps will be required:

 • clear and widen the crack;
 • cut off the edges;
 • make reinforcement.

Let's move on to the primer. Without it, the fresh Travetrino solution will immediately be absorbed into the old plaster. Use either a proprietary primer or acrylic... Apply it in two coats to nourish and prime. Find out about the consumption of deep penetration primer per 1 m2 in.

When the walls are dry, plaster can be applied. Stages of applying decorative plaster:

 • we take away the solution. Don't put the grater directly into the bucket. After all, then the work will not look neat. Use a narrow spatula to set the mortar on the trowel;
 • we apply. Layer size - grain size. So the thickness should be minimal, as thin as possible. After all, this way the composition will dry faster;
 • wait until it dries. This should be given enough time. It all depends on what features are in the plastering composition, as well as the features of the room in which the repair is being made;
 • we make grinding. We use fine sandpaper for leveling. If this is not done, then there will be no problem, but during painting the wall will lose color and shine;
 • we make finishing. Thanks to her, relief appears.

It is possible to apply the mixture with this method of plaster in various ways. It depends on them what kind of character the texture will have and how rich the tinting will be. Find out about penoplex plaster.

Application technique on the wall Bayramiks

The next option is Bayramix decorative plaster, the application technique of which we will consider. Since this polymer mixture, then the basis for it must be suitable. Almost any of its options will do. For example, concrete, expanded clay concrete, gypsum, plasterboard, chipboard, DVB and others.

In addition, it is allowed to apply a similar mixture to whitewash or a layer of oily paint. At the same time, there is one important condition - an even and stable surface. He will tell you about textured plaster from plaster.

There are special primers from the manufacturer that differ in quality. At the same time, it is a good idea to use an acrylic primer.

In the case when the surface is carefully primed before plastering, the plaster will fit well on it.

A feature of the work is that no beacons needed... After all, the solution does not serve as an equalizer, but only as a finishing solution. Basically, they undertake to plaster all the walls at once. However, if the volumes are large, then you will have to resort to joints. At the same time, it is important to make them as even as possible, so that the whole view is beautiful.

A little tip for this - use masking tape in the place where the joint will be. Remove it when finished. Another secret is to place the joint near windows and doors. In such places, they are less noticeable.

Now apply a solution no thicker than 2 grains. You can level it with a grater or trowel. So the surface will be free of streaks and tool marks. Find out about mortar for plastering a home stove.

Alpina - sequence of works for interior decoration of rooms

Consider a method of application for decorative alpine plaster. Prepare the substrate in the area where Alpina is applied. It is possible to connect plaster only in dry, clean, level and solid places. Them it is important to cleanse thoroughly from fat.

Stages of applying the mixture:

 • preparing the solution. Due to the fact that the plaster itself is not a dry solution, it is already ready to be used. If you want to make changes in the structure, then add water, but very little.
 • use a primer before applying;
 • apply the finishing material at temperatures from + 5 ° C to + 30 ° C;
 • use a stainless steel trowel for application;
 • you can also remove excess weight with a trowel.

Wet Silk Method - Roller Application

There is another interesting way that differs from the others - applying wet silk decorative plaster. Silk plaster is unique and you can apply it not in one way.

There can be many effects from this. The sequence of actions is as follows:

 • we produce a surface primer. This will require two layers;
 • wait 4 hours for the walls to dry;
 • we use an initial coating for plaster. To do this, apply decorative plaster with a velor roller or trowel;
 • set aside three hours for drying;
 • apply plaster freely. When doing this, use a sponge;
 • after 20 minutes, smooth the surface with a plastic spatula;
 • if you press the walls a little in different directions, then you will get a beautiful drawing.

Type of application Fur coat

Decorative plaster fur coat is applied roller and is done quite simply. For this, wrapped fur is used.

For a good result, make sure that the solution is not too thin or too thick. Here's a short sequence of steps:

 • using a spatula, the mixture is applied to the surface;
 • using a roller, it rolls out along the wall;
 • when the surface dries, begin to smooth it a little, using a moistened trowel (a cork effect is obtained).

There is an option dip the roller into solution and paint the surface. But then the coating will be coarser.

Various variations can be made with the surface structure. The longer the pile at the roller, the larger the texture will be. If there are holes in the roller, then you get an original design.

An interesting option is to apply this decorative plaster in two layers. The first is to level the entire surface. After that, directly over the not yet dried mixture, it is carried out with a roller. When the solution begins to set, a more liquid mixture is applied to the surface.

Thanks to this approach, you can get different types of textures as a result.

Another variety of ways to apply Lamb

The technology of applying decorative plaster lamb is something that requires a special approach. In this case, it is important purchase plaster and paint primerthat contain quartz sand. Thanks to the use of a float, trowel and trowel, the surface will be embossed.

Once you have applied the mixture, immediately remove all excess. To do this, take a spatula and set it at an angle. Collect all the plaster. If the residue is not yet frozen, use a wet cloth to remove it. If frozen, the mechanical method will do.

In this application technology, it is important to consider some recommendations:

 • make sure that the composition does not stick to the walls, but at the same time is not absorbed into them. For this, a primer is applied to the walls;
 • when your surfaces are all smooth, use primer paints as a treatment;
 • the plastering process can be started only when the primer is completely dry;
 • the width of the layer for application should be equal in size to the granules in the primer;
 • the structuring of the mixture occurs during the first 15 minutes, therefore, it is important to calculate the surface for processing at the very beginning before work;
 • apply the plaster in continuous strokes.

Kameshkovaya

The technique of applying pebble decorative plaster is very similar to the lamb plaster. Below you can see the technology of its application.

Burlap effect - waxing plaster

Similar to this is the technology of applying decorative plaster, the effect of burlap, which produced from ordinary putty... How is wax applied to decorative plaster? Application occurs in certain stages.

At the same time, they start from the corners of the walls and make movements without stopping. It is important that there are no layers. A solvent cloth will help to reduce where the layer is too large and begins to darken surfaces.

The drying time of the wax is different, depending on which manufacturer's product you are using. Basically, 3-6 hours are allocated for this.

During the drying time, you can correct possible deficiencies and notice deficiencies. Allow about 3 weeks for the surface to dry completely.

Then you can wipe the walls with a damp cloth. If over time you have more skills in this matter, then wax can be use as a relief for walls, and make from it beautiful flowers and patterns... What is the difference between gypsum plaster and wall putty will tell.

Decorative plaster manna, the methods of application of which we will consider, are very attractive. Such decorative plaster applied with a trowel. The thickness of the first layer must be uniform. To create the effect of "fur coat" use a fur roller, which, after applying the mixture, roll the surface.

The walls dry out for 4 hours. Next steps:

 • to remove all irregularities, the surface is slightly sanded. To do this, use a grater;
 • using a trowel, apply the mixture in the form of islands;
 • we smooth everything carefully with the edge of the trowel;
 • with a brush, all possible dust is removed.

Popular among builders is a kind of decorative plaster world map, the application technique of which is quite simple.

For this:

 • some of the unpainted areas are protected with mounting tape and film;
 • the surface is treated with a roller and brush thoroughly soaked with a primer;
 • when everything is dry, then applied primer paint with a roller... This will create a rough surface.
 • apply a second coat of paint (if needed);
 • stir the plaster thoroughly and start applying from the top of the left corner. Move to the bottom of the right.

Parade

A very popular type of interior decorative plaster is the Parade method. Here is a video with the technique of applying this type.

In addition, you can use decorative caparol plaster, the application technology of which is known to many.

The layer for application must be continuous. Use a trowel or special spray for this.
Structure the entire mixture evenly all over the circle with a plastic or polyurethane trowel.

If the plaster is grooved, then it is structured selectively. Either circular or horizontal-vertical movements will do. If the tools are constantly changed, the surface relief may suffer. After all, when you change tools, it changes. The nozzle diameter should be the same as the grain size.

Do not exceed a pressure of more than 0.4 MPa. The material must be applied extremely evenly. There should be no overlaps and abrupt transitions. Such application of decorative plaster Zhitomir is quite affordable.

But the decorative plaster of Leonardo, the application technology of which is also known to us. For work, we need the following order of work:

 • base surface covered with a layer viscous solution (a couple of millimeters thick);
 • before that, saturate it with a primer;
 • for simplicity, break the walls into sections for work;

 • start applying the solution from the top of the right corner. Thanks to this, the solution will not contaminate the treated surface;
 • at the end, smooth everything with a grater;
 • start shaping the relief.

Grotto

Decorative plaster Grotto is an environmentally friendly coating. It is based on natural mineral fillers and natural lime. Plaster creates the look of rocks. It is its similarity with the relief of karst grotto-caves that gave the name to this plaster Grotto.

Below is a video with the technique of its application:

Decorative sand plaster is applied by the same method. Its application method is the same as that of Leonardo.

As you can see, there are many types of plastering for finishing work.

Glazing with acrylic varnish using a roller

Glazing is the final operation for decorative plastering. It is designed to give a painting or relief surface strength. Currently, glazing is carried out with a special glazing compound or acrylic varnish.

The varnish quickly penetrates the surface of the plaster, it is simply applied with a brush or roller.

In this case, the choice of a particular method depends on the what design and interior do you want to create in your house. It is important to adhere to the above recommendations in order to avoid serious mistakes in the work.

In general, the work is quite simple and does not require special skills. We recommend that you read the material that tells about.
