For all crafts, you will need approximately the same list of materials:

And tools:

Instructions for creating a swan:

  1. We draw with chalk the lines along which the tire should be cut. Do it as shown in the photo, or find suitable patterns on the Internet.

  1. Cut the rubber carefully.

  1. With a "grinder" we cut the part that did not give in to the knife.
  2. We turn the product inside out, bending the cut edges.

Tip: if the craft is made in the kindergarten, then the sharp edges of the cut elements must be carefully processed, otherwise the child may be injured about them.

  1. We paint the swan in the desired colors.

Using various patterns, you can get not only swans, but also a wide variety of other garden crafts from car tires.

Example # 2: caterpillar

In this version, you don't even have to cut anything, but you will need a little more materials:

We proceed as follows:

  1. We partially bury the tires in the ground, connecting with self-tapping screws.
  2. We attach a bar bent in the form of a mustache on top.
  3. We fasten the empty cans in front.
  4. We paint the figure and get a slightly surprised, but quite attractive insect.

Example # 3: teddy bear

To get a club-footed beast you will need:

Work progress:

  1. We make holes in the big and small tires using a grinder so that they can be connected with a pipe.
  2. Cover the tire holes with pieces of plywood, which we fix with self-tapping screws.
  3. We glue linoleum on plywood.
  4. We cut out ears and paws from thick rubber, and then fix them in the right places.
  5. We put the resulting figure on two small wheels, which will play the role of a kind of legs.
  6. We paint the craft in two layers.

Example # 4: giraffe

Not enough exotic at your dacha? Build a giraffe! For this you will need:

In this case, you will not have to work so much:

  1. We bury the tire halfway into the ground.
  2. We knock down a log and a chock with nails in the semblance of a neck and head.
  3. We bury the resulting structure next to the tire.
  4. We cut out the ears from the plastic and attach them to the head with nails or glue.
  5. We glue the eyes from the toy onto the face of the resulting beast.
  6. At the back we fix a piece of the watering can as a tail.
  7. We give the craft the appearance of a giraffe with the help of paints.

Example # 5: crocodile

A toothy predator can also be a great decoration for your site. To do this, use:

Some carpentry skills are required here:

  1. We cut out the tire by cutting out the body of the crocodile.
  2. We cut out the shapes of the back and abdomen from the boards, fix the slats as spacers as shown in the following photo:

  1. We insert the resulting frame into the back and fasten it with screws.
  2. From below, in the same way, we fix the belly of the future crocodile.

  1. We screw plastic teeth into the "mouth".
  2. We glue the scales.
  3. We insert table tennis balls into the eye sockets.
  4. We paint the craft in a green color scheme.

Practical use of tires

Garden tire products can be of practical value in addition to being decorative.

Here are some ways to use them:

  1. Flower vases. The tire is cut and turned inside out, after which it is filled with earth and plant.

  1. Swing . Here you can experiment from the banal hanging of a whole product to cutting out bizarre shapes. (See also the article.)

  1. Arrangement of sewer wells... Tightness and moisture resistance make tires an excellent cheap material for creating walls of septic tanks or other similar structures.

  1. Children's sandboxes... To do this, you just need to dig in the tire and cover it with sand. The costs are minimal, and the child will already have a place to play.

  1. Steps. If the terrain on your site has a slope, then it can be equipped with tires, which will greatly simplify its overcoming.

  1. Bicycle parking... Bury the tires halfway into the ground next to each other so bicycles can be stowed comfortably between them.

  1. Fences. With tires, you can easily fence off the desired area, break up its zones.

  1. Sports and play equipment... It can be an obstacle course or simply a product dug in the playground, on which children will be happy to climb.

DIY crafts from tires in the country: everything from preparing a tire to choosing a location

Starting any work, it is necessary to select material and tools.

Cooking tires

Thinner European-made tires are considered the most convenient for cutting and bending. Experienced craftsmen also advise using winter tires - they are softer than summer ones.

Before starting the creative process, tires must:

Cutting a tire is a rather time-consuming process. It is not always possible to pick up a knife of the required strength; not every summer resident has a jigsaw. Those who have preserved old sickles on the farm, which are now rarely used for their intended purpose, can use their "antiques" to cut the tire.

Step-by-step instructions for making a flower basket

Such a basket can be used for low flowers, since a lot of earth will not enter into it. The airy structure will look good on a terrace or near the front porch of a house.

Procedure:

  1. Prepare the tire as described above.
  2. Cut out a template from cardboard, put it on the tire, circle it.

You do not need to use a template for drawing a simple pattern if the master has a good eye

  3. Cut out the pattern with a jigsaw on both sides.

It is easier and faster to cut a pattern on a tire with an electric jigsaw than with a knife

  4. We put the tire vertically, mark the middle on its upper edge and cut the surface in half.
  5. We turn out the tire.
  6. We twist the long ends and fasten them with self-tapping screws.

It takes physical strength to twist tight ends, sometimes it is better to do it together.

  7. Drill drainage holes in the lower part of the basket.

The head of the famous Wolf from the TV series "Well, wait a minute!" can be made from waterproof OSB or thick iron sheet

Other Tire Figures

Crafts from tires can serve as elements of a plot decor. Bright figurines are often used as flower beds. And if you glue the bottom, also cut from the tire, you can make an original container for water from a cup or teapot. Rubber retains heat well, and this water is suitable for watering greenhouse plantings.

One of the simplest figures is a sun made of tires and plastic bottles. It is done like this:

  1. Paint the tires with yellow or orange acrylic paint.

To paint the tire, you can use a special paint for rubber, which is sold in spray cans.

  2. Pour the same paint into bottles and shake well. After the paint has evenly covered the walls of the bottles from the inside, remove the corks and set to dry.
  3. We put the tire, which will be the sun, on another support tire (we also paint it beforehand) or dig it into the ground.
  4. We cut out a circle from plywood (10 mm) or thick metal (up to 5 mm) and attach it to the bus using self-tapping screws.

It is difficult to imagine a person who has not seen handicrafts made from car tires. Agree, many of them are made with talent and leave no one indifferent. Why not try making something with your own hands from old tires? A well-done work will find a place for itself in the summer cottage, in the garden, in the yard.

From snails on earth to birds in the sky can be made from tires

Old tires cost nothing, but they can be used to make fairly large, colorful and useful crafts that are not afraid of bad weather. Car tires can be used to build flower beds, garden furniture, toys for a playground, funny figures of animals and birds, useful household items and even a children's car.

Simple crafts require a little time and a minimum of tools. Here is a list of what will be enough for most ideas.

In addition to the above, used tires are used for the construction of foundations and houses. They are used to build fences. We follow the content.

Most important: Crafts from tires for the playground

For the old wheel, both sand and water are a familiar environment.

Rest assured that everything that is done for children is the most important thing! In the simplest form, sand is poured into the inside of a large wheel - and you get a sandbox. A painted wheel, moreover with a pattern, will become a decoration of the site. We put an umbrella in the sand and get an option for small VIPs. For them, we put on a heater for water pipes on the inner rim of the tire so as not to get scratched.

Small tires are fine too. They can be fastened together with self-tapping screws. The protruding part of the self-tapping screw must be screwed into a piece of wood so that no one gets hurt.

A mini pool made of a large wheel is a well-known business. A small workshop on making a pool:

  1. The tire has a bead cut off on one side. The work is best done with a jigsaw.
  2. They dig a pit 20 cm deep and slightly larger than the outer dimensions of the wheel.
  3. Sand and crushed stone are placed in the pit, with a total thickness of at least 10 cm.
  4. Pour cement mortar in a ratio of 1: 3.
  5. A tire is placed on a thick solution and poured with a solution further so as to close the inner rim of the wheel. A layer of mortar with a total thickness of 20 cm will not crack.
  6. After the solution has solidified, the inner and outer surfaces are painted. Blue paint works best. It is better to prime the pre-painted surface.
  7. After the paint has dried, the pool can be filled with water.

Your version of the swing may be different

The swing is a sacred thing. Nobody will become Gagarin, but all family members will enjoy the swing. In a hardware store, you will need to purchase a chain, suspension hooks, carabiners for connecting a chain, screws, washers and M6, M8 nuts to form a seat.

The screws must be of the optimum length, with a half-countersunk head or with a hemispherical head. It is better to use decorative cap nuts. Screws that are too long must be cut off.

Subject to the listed conditions, the product will be as safe as possible. In the photo below, there are options in which only the rope was required.

Personal swing, as well as for two or more children

It is even easier to make a rocking chair on the ground. It is better not to cut the tire in half, but leave the protrusions for attaching to the board with self-tapping screws. Note that the soft wheel will buckle, so the stiffness of the tire will limit the weight of those who can use the swing.

The board treated with emery cloth will protect the sensitive parts of your children from splinters. The dyed product will impress your neighbors. The handles are best placed across the board. They should be large so that the child's hand does not get stuck under the handle when falling. If you do not walk around the country at night, you can attach decorative eyes to the swing.

A rocking chair for one child can have a base of simpler shapes. Not everyone has an old bicycle handlebar and can be replaced with a shovel handle.

Car, tractor and tank - all from old wheels

The number of places and the limits of fantasy are not limited

I think that one of these cars can distract your child from the TV. For a car, in addition to worn wheels, you will need a steering wheel. Unnecessary discs, hubcaps and headlights are present in almost any garage and will be gladly used for a useful cause.

In its simplest form, a regular board laid on a tire is suitable as a seat. A broken plastic chair will create a Schumacher car. Most importantly, do not spare paint and imagination when working with a model.

There is no dispute about tastes when it comes to the future tractor driver and general.

Nothing prevents you from building both a tractor and a tank from tires. Discuss the design idea with your child and include them in the creation process.

Furniture for adults and children at their summer cottage

"Indestructible" furniture for a summer residence

Such furniture can definitely be left in the garden. The rain will not spoil it, it is easier for intruders to do their own thing than to carry heavy loads. If you drill holes and thread a weather-resistant cord through them, the result will be original and reliable. Several round pieces of wood can be cut from thick branches. Then they should be cleaned of bark, sandpaper the ends and varnished. We twist everything with self-tapping screws and get a chair and a table.

The simplest thing is to put the tires on top of each other and cover them with sheets of moisture-resistant material, such as OSB. Surfaces covered with a moisture-resistant glossy varnish will be protected from moisture, will not get dirty, they are easy to wipe off dust. To prevent the tires from moving, they can be fastened with self-tapping screws.

Another step towards perfection is the padded seats and backrests. It is convenient to cut the bases of such parts out of plywood. Foam rubber with a thickness of 2-5 cm is laid on them and covered with furniture fabric. The fabric is wrapped and stapled to the plywood with a staple gun.

Comfortable armrests are obtained from motorcycle tires. In this case, the armrests and backrest are fastened with screws, washers and nuts M6, M8. As already mentioned, the screws must be of the optimal length, with a half-countersunk head or with a hemispherical head. It is better to use decorative cap nuts. Screws that are too long must be cut off.

The bases and backs of the seats, as you can see in the photo, can be made from tread strips. The strips are intertwined and attached to the inside of the tire rim. In this case, you can do without screws if you screw the self-tapping screws of the optimal length into the bus so that they do not protrude.

You can't forbid living beautifully: simple and complex are near

It will come in handy on the farm

This homemade product won my heart so much that I did not regret five minutes of jigsaw work for it. The photo shows the technical process and the result.

Convenient hose container is made in five minutes

It is difficult to remain indifferent when the possibility of using worn-out tires on the farm is obvious. Rate for yourself:

  1. If you insert a plastic basin of a suitable diameter into a car tire, you get a wonderful sink for a summer cottage.
  2. Several tires stacked on top of each other in the pit will serve as a durable toilet container. It is recommended to pre-fill the sand and gravel at the bottom of the pit.
  3. Tire treads are perfect for playing the role of a track in the garden. Tread strips cut from an old tire are fastened together with a plank and self-tapping screws.

Wheels don't run anymore, now walk on them

Funny, funny figurines for everyone

Figures made of tires impress with their colorfulness, originality and size. We have already told you how to make a palm tree from plastic bottles. You can also build a palm tree from old tires. You can attach a giraffe next to the palm tree in the garden.

This palm and giraffe are not afraid of frost

Having buried an old wheel partially in the ground, you can make almost any animal. Adding various attributes to decorate the craft is encouraged. The most important thing is not to limit your imagination in the use of paints.

The wheel buried in the ground easily turns into any animal

By combining multiple tires of different sizes, cutting and bending material in all directions, and applying bold colors, you can create a lot of smiley crafts out of old tires. You just have to take and try, since you can spoil the source material as much as you like. It is convenient to apply the workpiece cutting pattern to the rubber with chalk or a marker.

All tire crafts are equal - flamingos, snails and elephants

Human-sized figures are easy to build from worn wheels. They are good in the yard, behind the fence, and on the playground. To mount the wheels on top of each other, it is convenient to use a piece of reinforcement or a metal pipe driven into the ground. It is important that the rod runs through both tires to the full height of the craft. It is convenient to cut flat circles from plywood, OSB, plastic and even linoleum. Any material can be fastened with self-tapping screws.

Such human-sized figures are visible a mile away.
