Preparing a pit for a polypropylene pool
The length and width of the pit should exceed the dimensions of the propylene pool bowl by 0.75-1 m around the perimeter. The depth of the pit consists of the following main layers:
– sand and gravel cushion – 150-200 mm
- reinforced concrete slab under the base of the bowl - 200-250 mm
- lining material (geotextile, insulation, film) - 25mm
- the height of the vertical wall of the pool.

It should be taken into account that the upper edge of the pool can rise above the ground surface to a height of no more than 300 mm. If possible, you should avoid installing a pool in areas with high groundwater levels. Pouring a reinforced concrete slab under the base of the pool
Before making a concrete slab, the bottom of the pit should be leveled with a sand and gravel cushion. The recommended thickness of the concrete slab is 200-250 mm with one or two reinforcing mesh (reinforcement thickness 10-12 mm in increments of 200-250 mm). The dimensions of the slab must exceed the overall dimensions of the bottom of the pool bowl by at least 250 mm around the perimeter. The surface of the slab must be leveled and have a smooth appearance (maximum deviation from the horizontal +3 mm).

The manufacture of a polypropylene pool is possible from polypropylene sheets on site, or the installation of a previously welded pool bowl is carried out by a team of several people in compliance with safety regulations. After installation, the bowl should be placed in the horizon.

Many country house owners dream of building their own swimming pool. And this is a completely feasible idea. You can buy a pool, order it from a special company, or build it yourself, saving a lot of money.

Depending on the complexity of the design and assembly conditions, there are several types of pools: frame, stationary and inflatable. How difficult it will be to install pools depends on this.

Frame pools

Such a frame is covered with PVC fabric. A wide selection of sizes and colors will help you customize your pool to suit your mood.

Pools consisting of a “skeleton”, depending on the complexity of the design, come in several types: they can be used only in the warm season, they can be used all year round and of a solid design, which requires a more complex design. A frame pool consists of a special edge, which gives stability and strength to the structure, and of course a water tank.

In order to install a specific pool, which consists of a frame, you must have the following tools on hand: a set of keys - simple, with six edges and an adjustable one, screwdrivers, and also a cutting tool. Also, in order to level the site, you will need additional materials - a wooden peg, high-density polyethylene film, polystyrene or foam boards and adhesive tape.

Installation, step-by-step execution

Before installing such a pool, you need to choose the right place to mount it. The location for the pool should be level, it is even advisable that the pool itself be located on a slight hill for good water drainage. There should be no trees or buildings near the pool. In order to create a good place for its installation, you need to level the site, remove all debris - small branches, grass, to prevent them from rotting under the bottom of the device, and pour sifted sand over the entire site in an even layer of 1-1.5 cm.

Also, close to the pool, you need to have access to electricity to connect some of its units, to water, in order to fill it and to drain used water.

Now you can install the pool:

A frame pool is quite easy to install and just as easy to dismantle for the winter.

In the middle of the site you need to install a small stake made of wood, put the first layer of pool film on it and pierce it with a stake so that the film does not move and remains in place.
We lay foam plastic or polystyrene foam boards on top of the film, moving them down a little. After all the slabs are laid, they need to be secured together with adhesive tape, and the excess ends of the slabs should be cut off with a knife. The thickness of polystyrene foam boards must be at least 2 cm.
Then you need to trim the top of the stake so that it is flush with the slabs.
On the prepared area we place a special mat that comes with the pool and position it so that the drain hole is in the right place.
Remove the drainage valve from the hose and leave it for a couple of minutes so that the pool material can heat up evenly in the sun.
The beams that will be positioned horizontally have a larger caliber and must be inserted into certain grooves at the bottom of the structure.
Then, using bolts, you need to screw the hinges to the ends of the beams along the entire perimeter of the structure.
The next step is to install the supports into the loops of the rope. To do this, first insert the lower part of the support into the rope grommet, then the upper part into the hinge, insert the support into the groove of the hinge, align the pins on the springs and connect the support cap to the support itself.
After the pool structure is assembled, you need to check its strength. To do this, take the assembled structure by the upper part and shake it thoroughly.
We insert the pool bowl inside the structure and glue it to the walls of the frame with adhesive tape. In this case, it is advisable not to immediately fix the bowl over the entire frame, but to include a set of water in it and carefully straighten the fabric while it is collected. This will help distribute the bowl fabric evenly within the pool frame.

After the pool is completely assembled, you need to check how level it is, since its correct location determines whether there will be a water leak or not. In order to check how the pool stands, you need to fill it with water about 3 cm and carefully look to see if there is any difference in the water levels around its entire perimeter.

Inflatable pools

The most comfortable and least labor-intensive to install are inflatable pools, which are made from a special durable film. In order to install an inflatable pool, you need to place it on a flat surface, on which there will be no things that could tear it - grass, shells, pebbles. It’s good to unroll the fabric and pump it up with the pump that comes with the pool.
