Garage with a canopy: beautiful options for building. Garage with a canopy: beautiful options for building How to build a garage on the site of sheds

More and more car owners are thinking about building an additional room near the garage. Thanks to this room, the car will always have a place. It happens that in the garage quite a lot of space is taken up by tools, car parts, or just things that have no place in the house. A garage with a hozblok is an excellent option that will save the car from various mechanical and natural influences. Agree that it is much more pleasant to leave your car in a covered protected area than in an open and in some cases precarious parking.

Alternatively, you can store the car in a garage with an additional building, however, before making this design, you should be well acquainted with the basic requirements for its construction. You also need to purchase materials in advance, decide on the type of hozblok, its location, size, and so on.

In order for you to be able to do the job efficiently, we tried to briefly describe the basic requirements for the construction of this type of structure. Analyzing this information, you will most likely come to the conclusion that the work of making a garage with a hozblok is not too difficult, so you can build this structure yourself.

Features of a garage with a hozblok

Storing a vehicle in a garage is safer than in a parking lot or other open space. Since the car is in the garage, it is protected from hot daylight, which can cause the car's paint to fade, heavy rains, which can cause corrosion on car body parts, and other unpleasant factors. Interestingly, not only the outside of the car suffers from being outside, but also the inside, for example, the upholstery dries out, and plastic parts such as panels, armrests, cards can crack and lose their color due to fading.

Quite often, not only a car is stored in this room, but also other things that take up a lot of useful free space. Projects for building a garage with a utility block can solve this problem, especially if they have a common roof. Thanks to this construction, the owners will be able to correctly distribute things in both rooms, which will contribute to order and cleanliness.

The choice of material and the location of the garage with the hozblok

As for building materials, your choice is really great, since in our time such materials are represented by a wide variety of technical characteristics, price category, material strength, and so on. To build a garage with a utility block, the following materials are usually used:

To carry out this construction of brick is quite popular, because brick is strong, reliable, durable and relatively inexpensive. Using this building material, construction is quick and easy. Brick is perfect for a closed hozblok. Garages made of concrete have the same durable characteristics. And what is more important is the fact that such materials lend themselves easily to almost any finish.

When choosing a material made of wood for this room, do not forget about the frame base. Such a base is quite simple, and the owners will not spend much time on its assembly. And most importantly, you do not have to spend a lot of money on its construction.

If you already have a garage, but want to build an additional structure, then this way you will save a lot more money than building from scratch. However, you should consider for what purposes the hozblok will serve - for saving various things in it, for parking a car, or for completely different purposes. You should also decide on the type of additional building, since they are both closed and open.

Garage project with hozblok

Any construction is not carried out without a clearly defined project, a garage with a utility block is no exception. Thanks to a well-thought-out project, you can greatly simplify the construction process and the calculation of materials. This building can be quite different, it can differ in size, wall thickness, ceiling height, placement and number of windows, and much more. In order to make your garage and the shed built to it convenient, you need to think over the location and availability of sockets in advance, decide on the heating method, make high-quality lighting, make or buy racks and shelves in advance and place them conveniently. But this is not all that you need to think about, since a lot depends on the area in which you live, the dimensions of the car, personal preferences and other factors that you should take into account when choosing the type of construction.

You can do the project for this building yourself, and this option is pretty good, as you can save some money without turning to expensive specialists for help. In order to make your own project, you do not have to spend a lot of effort, time and money. In addition, you can make such a project that will be convenient for you. However, before you start making a project, you should decide on the material for the walls.

If you have the financial resources, then contact the experts in this matter, who will make the calculations efficiently and fairly quickly. The owners will not have to redo or doubt the quality of this project. Good specialists pay attention to the most imperceptible details that you might overlook. It is for this reason that a structure designed by specialists will be reliable and of high quality.

Garage with a canopy

Making a canopy near the garage is very simple. If you already have a garage, then making an additional canopy is fairly quick. However, if you are planning to build a garage and shed from scratch, don't be discouraged, as such work is not too difficult. In order to make a canopy, you need to consider some requirements that are very important.

    DIY garage-workshop-barn-hozblok (4 in 1)

    Good day! I am opening a new topic on the forum in connection with the future opening of a new construction site on my site!

    I plan to build a separate building in the next construction season, which in terms of functionality will include
    1. Garage for "small" wheeled vehicles (scooter, bicycles, lawn mower, rammer, etc.).
    2. Workshop. In the short term, I have the construction of a new house to replace the old one built in 1946. Now I am "making" in a small area at the entrance to the house, which, by the way, I will demolish. Therefore, the presence of a workshop is a natural necessity!
    3. Shed. The space I need, because there is a garden, there are vegetables, there are fruits, ... there is no barn!
    4. Hozblok. If you saw my site now, you would be wildly horrified by how and where I store what should be stored in the hozblok ...

    Thus, I was looking for a place on the forum where to create my own topic and found a section, well, straight - "to the point"! Here, for the next construction season, I will stop!

    I will open the construction site from April 2018, and now I have time to make a project, decide on the material of the building, design features, color, engineering saturation ... well, I will share my experience with you and, if possible, get advice in the current difficult technical situations.

    I will definitely provide a photo report here in the topic, at the same time I will open a series of reporting construction on my YouTube channel. (I will definitely invite those who wish). An incentive and moral reward will undoubtedly be your support in construction, advice and positive assessments of the topic and / or reports!

    My construction site will open in some 5 months... Now my favorite process is going on, when you bring a cup of coffee, take a piece of paper and a pencil and start creating! This process is largely mental, when the brains begin to “move” pleasantly, giving rise to creative thoughts.

    So what do I need to do now? Because in addition to the desire to build a Garage-workshop-shed-hozblok (4 in 1) with your own hands (hereinafter referred to as GarMaSaKho) I have absolutely nothing, no project, no material, even deferred funds for this construction site, and they, too, are not.

    First! I decide on a place. According to its functionality, GarMaSaKho should be within walking distance from its direct destination. Garage for small wheeled vehicles removed away from the future home, where bicycles, a lawn mower, a rammer, and other gasoline tools will be stored ... Barn should be in close proximity to the place where vegetables are grown, therefore, closer to the garden, greenhouse and garden beds. Hozblok for the same reasons, it should be next to the barn, there should be garden tools, and everything should be very close to the "served" object. I found such a place on my site - the far right corner of my site, next to greenhouses, beds and a vegetable garden. On this side of the fence I have a second, economic entrance to the site.

    We have to remove the apple tree. She got me from the previous owners. The variety is unknown to me, self-grafted, summer, it is not stored for a long time, but most importantly, why I don’t feel sorry for it - with powerful flowering, very few fruits are tied and almost all are affected by the disease, no matter how I try to fight them. But in order not to be indebted to nature, closer to the field, I will plant 5-6 columnar apple trees in a row, thereby fencing off GarMaSaKho with a hedge. And the second element that I will transfer is compost. I have already determined a new place, I will build it from bricks with batteries, water, slurry drainage, etc. If everything is fine, I will roll up a separate topic on it.

    Everything is within walking distance from GarMaSaKho, take a look:

    The only thing that is not included in the concept of "within walking distance" is Masterskaya, it should be closer to the house, that’s for sure, because it’s 60 meters from the house and I don’t have to run too much, especially since I plan to build it from scratch. Therefore, the solution is this: the workshop will be in this building temporarily, until the construction of the house, (5-7 years), then it will move to the basement of the new house, and a "fisherman's house" will appear in its place. I am fond of fishing, summer and winter, I have a lot of fishing equipment (boat, motor, tents, boxes, etc.), which must be stored and maintained somewhere (without straining the beautiful half of humanity).

    Well, I have decided on the place! Successfully completed the first phase of brainstorming! Not a single nerve cell was damaged! Now we need to decide on the structural design of the building and the material of construction. Here, I don’t promise complete safety of the nerves, not to mention the moment when it comes to the designer finishing of the facade part ...

    For those who are interested, follow the thread. Who can not wait, give advice. Good luck.

    Second phase!

    The choice of material from which I will make the construction of GarMaSaKho. I consider two options: Frame and Aerated Concrete. In both cases, insulation is expected.

    I read a lot of articles here on the forum, I looked at how someone makes what, but I have not yet come to my version. Decided to speculate here. Let's start with the pros and cons of both options:

    frame
    Pros:

    1. The frame is a fast and easily erected structure.
    2. Low, in relation to gas blocks, the price of construction and building materials.
    3. Having erected a frame, there is the slightest chance of damage to the house from design errors during operation or soil properties. Heavy stone houses can sag unevenly, they are very dependent on heaving of the soil. The huge weight of high stone walls can lead to their deformation and destruction in case of violation of structural technologies. The skeleton is relatively light in weight, in combination with materials such as OSB, this will create a structure that is less prone to deformation and destruction due to the characteristics of the soil and the weight of the house itself.
    4. The frame does not require a massive foundation. It is usually placed on pile foundations.
    5. In the cold season, the frame can be quickly heated to the desired temperature. This is due to the fact that they have a low heat capacity of walls and ceilings. A very important point, since I plan to keep the workshop in the "plus" all year round.
    6. With the correct structure of the frame structure using vapor-permeable outer skin materials and the appropriate type of insulation with the absence of vapor-tight membranes and OSB boards, it is possible to create vapor-permeable walls, which in turn create the effect of a breathing structure. Vapor-permeable walls eliminate excess moisture without ventilation and heat loss.
    Minuses:
    1. When using OSB, lining and conventional frame timber, a very fire hazardous structure is created. Ordinary polystyrene foam is a very combustible material, and mineral wool, in turn, is also not a barrier to further ignition of the frame structure.
    2. There is a possibility of penetration into the structure of uninvited guests in the form of rodents. And where there is a barn, there are vegetables, there are rodents. Those who live in the villages know this.
    gas block
    Pros:
    1. Modern aerated concrete is made from environmentally friendly materials. It does not emit substances harmful to humans and the environment. Only wood is considered more environmentally friendly than aerated concrete.
    2. Aerated concrete is suitable for any type of walls: both load-bearing and self-supporting. The blocks have different thicknesses.
    3. Aerated concrete is a lightweight building material.
    4. The building is being erected in a short time: due to the relatively large dimensions of the aerated concrete block and its low weight, the speed of construction increases significantly. By itself, aerated concrete is an economical material.
    5. Aerated concrete has a low thermal conductivity.
    6. Aerated concrete is known for its heat storage properties.
    7. Aerated concrete is one of the most durable artificially produced materials. Its service life is expected to last more than 100 years. Fungus, mold or bacteria do not accumulate inside aerated concrete.
    8. Aerated concrete is resistant to frost, which is ensured by the presence of pores into which ice and water are released when freezing. The material does not deform. Subject to all technologies, frost resistance of blocks exceeds 200 cycles.
    9. Aerated concrete is made from natural mineral raw materials, therefore it is not subject to fire.
    10. Easily processed with any industrial tool such as drills, saws, milling cutters.
    Minuses:
    1. Aerated concrete has a porous structure and tends to accumulate excess moisture in the pores over time. To avoid this, aerated concrete walls should be coated with a deep penetration primer, after which a special plaster mortar should be applied to the walls, which increases the construction budget.
    2. Aerated concrete blocks are very fragile. Any movement of the soil will be reflected on the walls in the form of cracks. They will stretch behind them deformation on the finish, rupture of the wallpaper and other damage. But even if there are no ground movements, microcracks on aerated concrete will still appear: the probability of cracks in the form of small cobwebs is very high.
    3. The lime residue in aerated concrete blocks has the ability to quickly oxidize iron, as a result of which the reinforcement in the walls and the grid of the crate will suffer.
    Here is the information on the materials at the moment I have. Now personal preference:
    1. I plan to build a house from a gas block (no options). I will build myself. Therefore, having built GarMaSaKho from a gas block, I would have filled my hand, looked at what nuances should be taken into account, I would have looked at the speed of construction, etc. Therefore, this reason is dominant in favor of the gas block.
    2. Approximately calculated the material, it turned out that the frame was 40% cheaper. Therefore, this reason is dominant in favor of the framework.
    3. For the carcass, I have a lot of lumber left over from the construction of the gazebo, shower, toilet, previous owners, which will further reduce the cost of construction. Therefore, this reason is dominant in favor of the framework.
    4. In the frame, there is a high probability of rodents getting inside. I have a plot in the village and they (rodents) there are dark darkness. Therefore, this reason is dominant in favor of the gas block.
    The frame has a smaller wall thickness, with the same insulation, which saves space. Therefore, this reason is dominant in favor of the framework.
    5. I would like to make the structure without steps (as in my gazebo), the frame is not suitable for this, there are a lot of layers that need to be raised above the "0" level. Therefore, this reason is dominant in favor of the gas block.
    6. The construction of a building from a gas block does not require "the right weather." A very important factor when you build only on weekends. In this case, a small canopy over the work area saves, which cannot be said about wood material. Therefore, this reason is dominant in favor of the gas block.

    Absolutely not yet decided. Most of the members of the forum, as far as I can see, are building a frame, and indeed, all of Scandinavia, North America and half of Europe fully practice this option ... By the time of construction, I think it will turn out the same ...

    I do not know...

    Write, did you have such a choice, and how did you solve such a controversial issue?

    So, we all thought and I decided!

    GarMaSaHo from the gas block!

    The reasons why I chose this particular material are written a little higher. The dominant ones in favor of choosing a gas block were:
    - Gaining experience in building from a gas block which I need for the future construction of my house. This reason is so weighty that, in principle, it alone can be enough for self-persuasion in the "right" choice. Parallel significant reasons for the choice in favor of the gas block will include the following:
    -The ability to "stretch in time" construction. I have long had a rule: "I don't build anything on vacation! On vacation I relax with my family, travel, spend time fishing, etc." For construction, I use only weekends and walkways, so the construction of the gazebo (the link to the report on its construction is above) took me 4 seasons, although I calculated according to labor hours - only 30 days. The design of GarMaSaHo is not a simple, L-shaped one, so it will be easier with blocks, and inclement weather will not crush, you can stretch the construction site for a whole season, focusing on the first reason (experience).
    - I don't want to raise the floors, which is why I will even make a slab foundation. I don't like stairs! On the floors I plan porcelain tiles (I have experience in an unheated city garage). With the frame, I will get a step anyway.
    Well, and so on ... The decision is made: Gas-block!

    At the decision-making stage, one of the points considered was the cost. I made a calculation of a box without a roof of two options: a gas block with a slab foundation and a frame on a pile foundation. Score in this series: 70,000 - 52,000, in favor of the carcass. Here I took into account only the material used in each specific version, did not take into account, for example, external and internal decoration, roof, doors, windows, insulation, etc., that is, what would be equally useful to me there and there. But nevertheless, the loss of 18,000 is not so significant, given that I am given good dividends in the amount of invaluable experience in building a building from a gas block.

    The next step will be the development of the general structure of the building, overall dimensions, orientation on the site ...

    You forgot to pay taxes to the minuses of the gas block. Now household buildings are also taxed, but what will happen in 10 years ... After all, they come up with something else, they can increase the tax for capital household buildings.

    I still don’t understand why vegetables should be stored in a barn (house block)? They are usually stored in the cellar. And in the barn is not at all long after the collection. For this, capital and warm walls are not needed at all.
    This year we ourselves built a barn - a utility block. Money was running low on this went the cheapest way. Framework, quick and easy. The roof space was also used. So many things got in there, mamadAragaya

    Taxes... yes! Somehow I didn't even think about them. Why don't you have to pay for the frame? As for vegetables, you are right! It is planned to store in the period between collection and laying in the cellar. At the moment I’m running around the area with boxes, then I’ll build it there, then I’ll put it there, drying onions, garlic, flower tubers, etc. I’m going to insulate only the part where the workshop will be, but I’m planning a small stove for heating in it, so that I can I had to work there all year round.

    I will have to solve a similar problem in the hozblok next season. The primary task is to free the building spot from the old barn. We have gardening and space is limited. I even get "5 in 1" = a workshop, a shed for household equipment, a summer toilet, a rest room and a warehouse for "unnecessary things". To make a standard construction change house somehow does not captivate. Well, it will look very "sovdepovski 60 years". Design comes first. To please the eye. Especially. that the house also needs to be redone. Here's a thought I think that everything was "according to Feng Shui." I have been explaining myself for so long in connection with the question - How will your "GarMaSaKho" look like. By the way, as you know, "whatever you call a horse. So it will jump!. We called ours encouragingly, "Kholupen." In general terms, this should be .:. Technology option: "frame" or "double beam". without insulation. Let's put infrared and heat at the time of operation. It makes no sense to keep heat in an empty volume. The technology of "double timber" attracts by the fact that there are no multi-layer finishing works like in a frame at the same speed of construction. Assembled as a designer.

    You're right! I would like to move away from the standard construction option, so that the aesthetics would please the eye! A modern set of all kinds of materials allows you to do this! In your version, I liked the overhang of the roof on props. Looks original!

    We look forward to seeing your version.
    By the way about the "name". I went with my "slave" to construction companies. In the first variant, he called it "barn" = counted on a turnkey basis = 120tr. The second time - "summer house" = received in 250tr. For the third time he called "garden" = it turned out under 450tr. The drawing of the interior and the sketch was one

When building a land plot, its owner has to take care not only of the main building - the house, but also to provide convenient conditions for storing the car. If the garage is not built into the basement, or is not attached to the side wall of the house, then it will have to be built separately.

Depending on the climatic conditions of the area and the frequency of using the car, you can make a solid canopy for it, or provide a full-fledged garage. You can also, in order to save yard space, combine a garage with a barn. It is this option that will be discussed next. In addition, in this article you can watch a video on the topic: "The project of a garage with a farm building."

Project selection

Of course, a garage with a utility block is not a house. Its construction is not so time-consuming and responsible, therefore, even if hired specialists were engaged in the construction of the house, the owner often prefers to build outbuildings with his own hands. There is nothing wrong with this, you just need to remember that even a simple gazebo requires skill.

And a barn with a garage is, although not too large, but a capital building. Although it can be large, if, for example, the family is rather big, and it has several cars.

In addition, you can try to make sure that the courtyard buildings are erected and finished outside in the same style as the house, as shown in the photo below.

Of course, it is possible to carry out such construction, and finishing, only according to the project. And yet, carefully studying ready-made design or already implemented solutions, you can draw many interesting ideas for yourself. Our guide will help you understand these nuances.

Parameters and configuration of buildings

If you decide to build a garage with a utility room, first of all, you need to think about where it is most convenient to place it. You will have to solve a difficult problem, because usually the barn is hidden somewhere in the backyard.

And the garage should be so close to the entrance to the site that you don’t have to cross the entire yard when putting a car in it, risking running into beds or a flower bed. There is only one way out: when placing a garage-shed on the site, you will have to be guided solely by the convenience of arrival for cars.

With a greater degree of probability, it will be in the most prominent place - perhaps even more open to the eye from the street than the part of the courtyard on which the house is located. And this means that from an aesthetic point of view, such a building should look no worse than the main building.

Hozblok with a canopy

Note! When the car is used daily by the owner, a shed can be provided instead of a garage. Since it will be adjacent to the shed, you don’t have to worry about where to put canisters, oils and replacement tires. It is enough to allocate a separate rack for this in the barn. Moreover, many car owners do not do repairs on their own, and they simply do not need all these workbenches with a bunch of tools and spare parts.

At the same time, the price that you have to pay for convenient home parking will be minimal. In the same building with a utility block, it is also possible to provide for both a canopy and a garage - the options that we see in the examples below.

Such a canopy, by the way, can serve another service. In every family there are some events when a lot of people gather who are difficult to accommodate in the house. In such a situation, benches can be placed under a canopy, or tables can be set.

In principle, in private houses for these purposes, sheds are provided in the yard. But since events with a large influx of guests occur infrequently, the rest of the time the canopy will serve as a shelter from the sun or precipitation for the car.

So:

  • If it's just a hozblok with a canopy, then its dimensions may be as in the picture above. There are two separate rooms of 9 m2 each, and an adjacent area with a canopy, 21 m2 in size. In one room you can store garden tools, and in the other - spare parts, auto chemicals, oils and wheels for the car.
  • This project is the easiest for self-implementation, since this is a frame building. The most time-consuming in it is, which will be common both for the premises and for the canopy - and even then, it is deepened by a maximum of 40 cm. Although for a frame building, a columnar foundation is also very convenient.
  • In the process of pouring, reinforcing bars are embedded in it to fix the strapping beam, or embedded parts in the form of steel forks or glasses, to which the supporting pillars of the canopy are attached.

The frame of the building is assembled with beams and boards of various sizes. The floors in the rooms are hemmed along the lags, the walls are assembled according to the scheme that you see above.

The roof, which is common both for the premises and for the canopy, has a traditional truss system, and is covered with absolutely any roofing material. Such a constructive option requires the least time for construction - and especially when the foundation is not monolithic, but piled.

Major garage with shed

By the same principle, you can build a full-fledged garage with a barn. In the project below, we see a building with a total area of 42.8 m2. Of these, 14 m2 is again occupied by two separate utility rooms. 23.6 m2 is allocated directly to the garage, and the remaining 5.2 m2 is occupied by a small shed, which can be used both for storing inventory and for arranging a recreation area.

In this case, neither a basement nor a basement is provided in the garage. That is, before you is the simplest constructive version of such a building. Even the floors in it can be earthen. But given that the frame is still wooden, it needs a drier microclimate, and rodents can harm it, it is better to concrete the floor.

In general, you can build a hozblok with a garage from any material: logs or timber, bricks, concrete blocks. Accordingly, the options for its finishing can be very different.

The examples presented by us confirm that such a structure can not only be built from any material, but it can also be finished so that it becomes a harmonious accent in the landscape of your yard. In each case, of course, there will be some nuances during construction, so let's take a closer look at one specific option: a garage with utility rooms built from concrete blocks.

Construction of a garage from concrete blocks: the main stages

To build such a house, which is presented above, you will need:

Construction stages List of performed works
Determining the size of the building and drawing

Having decided on the location of the building on the site, you need to draw such a plan that you see in the photo.

It should indicate: the dimensions along the axes of the walls, the location of the openings and their width, and it should be noted where the partition separating the premises will pass.

Such a drawing will help you correctly mark the building on the site, as well as most accurately calculate the required amount of materials.

Make no mistake with the size of the garage space. Naturally, they must take into account the dimensions of your car, and have a margin of space so that it is convenient for the car to drive in. For a small car, an area of 22-24m2 is enough.

Note! The height of the garage must be at least 2m, but keep in mind that there must be a distance of 20cm between the highest point of the car and the lowest point of the ceiling or equipment mounted on it.

Marking the axes of the building on the ground

This stage consists of:
  • site clearing;
  • removal of the vegetative soil layer;
  • driving pegs in the corners and at the intersection of walls;
  • setting right angles, which is fixed with three pegs;
  • pulling a marking cord that defines the contours of the foundation.
Foundation device

The structure and approximate dimensions of the foundation, you see in the picture. If we break it down into stages, it will be:
  • trench digging;
  • Filling and compacting the bottom with sand;
  • Formwork installation;
  • Covering the formwork with roofing material or polyethylene;
  • Knitting a frame from reinforcing bars;
  • Preparation of concrete;
  • Pouring concrete into formwork.

After that, you have to wait four weeks until the concrete gains strength. In the first week, it should be regularly moistened and covered, protecting it from the rapid evaporation of moisture.

Wall masonry

When the foundation can be loaded, you can start laying. To do this, you can use any wall blocks that are on sale today: cinder concrete, expanded clay concrete, polystyrene concrete, foam concrete (see), gas silicate, UDB, ceramic, as well as bricks of any format.

Each type of block has its own size range. But on average it is 200 * 200 * 400 mm. It is ideal for independent work.

Before laying the first row, waterproofing must be performed on the horizontal surface of the foundation. Usually this is roofing material glued to bituminous mastic.

Installation of the roof frame

When the walls are brought to the desired height, the building needs to be brought under the roof. Here it can be unattractive, so you don’t have to arrange an overlap. In this case, the list of works will include:
  • Wall binding with Mauerlat;
  • Installation of a ridge run and rafters;
  • crate stuffing;
  • Roofing material flooring.
Floor device

If the floor in the barn can be wooden, then in the garage it must be concrete in any case (see). Since we have a tape foundation, we will have to arrange it on the ground.

You can see the structure in the diagram below.

If a viewing hole is provided in the garage, then it is first concreted, and then the floor.

Filling openings

After the rough floor is filled, you can start filling the window and door openings.
  • Garage Doors;
  • Doors to utility rooms;
  • Window.

We have described the main stages of building a garage with a utility block. Now it's time for the finishing. Usually it is done from the inside first, and then from the outside. In any case, the order should be this if wet processes are present in the interior decoration.

It is unlikely, of course, that you will try to ennoble the premises of the barn. But if the walls were built from cellular concrete blocks, it is better to plaster them, since the utility room will not be heated.

You can leave the floors in it and concrete, or build a boardwalk - this is at your discretion. In the garage, it is better to tile the base, or make a self-leveling floor.

But it is better to insulate the entire structure from the outside, according to the ventilated facade system. For this purpose, you can use the most inexpensive material: foam plastic as a heater, timber for installing the crate, vinyl siding, corrugated board or lining for decoration. Or you can simply sheathe the facade with OSB sheets, and then paint it.

We have presented for your choice a lot of interesting projects of garages combined with utility rooms. As you can see, they can be interesting not only constructively, but also in terms of aesthetics.

It remains only to understand what to do with all this splendor if you suddenly decide to sell your car? It turns out that you can raise chickens in your garage, and there are a lot of good tips on the Internet on this topic. And what: this is an idea!

For many, a personal car has already become an important attribute of country life. And I absolutely do not want it to regularly get wet in the rain in the summer, and in the winter it had to be constantly cleared of the attacking snow. The solution to the problem can be a garage project, because with its help it will be possible to build a practical and reliable room where vehicles will always be protected from the weather.

Varieties and criteria for choosing a project plan

The garage room must reliably protect the car from the effects of excessive humidity and temperature changes. Therefore, experts recommend it to be insulated with high quality. But this is not particularly true if the house is used only in the summer. Here it will be possible to get by with an open area, which will have only a roof.

It is cheaper to purchase a ready-made project plan if it successfully combines with the mansion in terms of its architectural format. But for connoisseurs of exclusivity, there is also an individual design service. If desired, a garage space can be initially provided in the layout of the cottage, for example, it can be conveniently located on the basement floor.

Before ordering a garage project, you need to pay attention to the number and area of utility rooms with which it will be equipped:

  • workshop - suitable for car repair or service, there is always the opportunity to save on service stations;
  • hozblok - used to store equipment and inventory;
  • rest room - if necessary, equipped with furniture and can replace a cozy guest house.

When building a cottage for 2 families, it is possible to foresee a garage room on the site immediately with a couple of car spaces. This is convenient if you plan to purchase additional transport in the future. At a price it will cost a little more, but it is very practical in terms of saving usable space on the site. It can later be used for planting trees or a spacious pool.

It is easiest to buy a garage project with the help of our catalog. We have a large selection of standard project plans that allow you to build a garage space of the required area for 1 or 2 cars. When placing an order on the site, you can count on a free consultation from an experienced architect. The option you like can be adjusted according to the wishes of the client.
