Pvc laminate which is better. What is the best floor covering - laminate or PVC tiles? Cons of PVC tiles

Choosing an inexpensive but modern and beautiful flooring, the buyer often does not know which is better - laminate or vinyl flooring. In the article we will present a comparison of these materials, recommendations that will help you understand which floor to buy.

What are the floors made of?

This coating is in the form of tiles or rectangular strips. There are also tiles of an unusual shape.

In vinyl and (PVC) flooring, the main component ispolyvinyl chloride, obtained by polymerization of vinyl chloride. Vinyl chloride is toxic, can lead to body poisoning, cancer, asthma, neuropsychological disorders. However, in polyvinyl chloride, it is in molecular bonds, and manufacturers assure that under normal operating conditions PVC does not emit harmful substances into the air. Believe it or not - it's up to the buyer. After all, no one can be sure that overheating of the coating will not occur, damage to the protective layer, in which toxic substances will begin to enter the atmosphere.

To impart performance properties to vinyl tiles, plasticizers, stabilizers and various additives are added to the composition. Some manufacturers use safe additives, others use cheaper but dangerous ones - lead, cadmium, phthalic acid salts.

Phthalates are capable of being released into the indoor air, because contained in the top layer and are not linked by molecular bonds to polymers. Chemical odor after installation is evidence of diffusible phthalates. Unfortunately, the vapors do not stop after two weeks, but continue to poison the air of the room in small doses.

was invented as a cheap analogue to parquet. At the same time, its appearance is realistically stylized for various types of wood. Made in the form of dies from several layers with a lock connection.

The top lamination layer contains melamine or acrylic resins. Acrylic-based overlay is considered safe, but increases the cost of the laminate.

Most often, manufacturers use a mixture of melamine with components containing formaldehyde, i.e. melamine resins.

Formaldehyde is acutely toxic and, at high concentration in the air, is dangerous to the human body. Intense evaporation of formaldehyde from the laminated coating can begin when it overheats, caused by a fire or other very heating factor.

Performance characteristics of laminate and vinyl tiles

What to choose: laminate or vinyl flooring?

Based on the analyzed characteristics, it is possible to draw conclusions about which floor covering is suitable for each particular case.

Choosing a vinyl floor, if:

1. The moisture resistance of the coating is important (use in the kitchen, bathroom, toilet, balcony and other rooms with high humidity).

2. You need the ability to withstand heavy furniture, wheelchairs, heels, pet claws. We take into account the class of application:

  • 23-31 - residential premises with a low degree of exploitation.
  • 32-42 - home areas with high traffic - corridors, kitchens, bathrooms. Commercial premises with medium load.
  • 43 - commercial premises with high load, industrial premises.

3. You need a floor with good durability in a commercial space, here it will last longer, will not disperse at the seams, the vinyl floor will not start to creak.

If the effect of moisture and water is excluded, increased loads, and in the room you want to lay exactly laminate, then you can choose this coating based on the class of application:

  • 21-23 classes - home premises with a small load - bedrooms, offices.
  • 31-34 classes - residential premises with high traffic (corridor, living room), commercial premises.

After examining the composition of laminate and vinyl flooring, we know that these are fully synthetic materials. Therefore, you cannot limit yourself when choosing only the characteristics of the product. The premises where we live or work must be renovated not only beautifully and cheaply, but also safely. Therefore, as experts, we advise:

1. Do not use laminate or vinyl flooring in children's room, bedroom. Artificial additives can provoke allergies not only in children, but also in adults.

2. Choose a laminate with emission marking E0 - does not contain harmful additives, E1 - the minimum amount of formaldehyde. Formaldehyde emission classes E2 and E3 of the laminate are 3 and 6 times higher, respectively, than the level of harmful substances in the E1 laminate, and therefore pose a threat and are not recommended for use in residential premises. In Europe, laminate E2 and E3 are prohibited. That is why we recommend flooring from European manufacturers, for example, Norwegian Alloc laminate flooring.

Laminate of 21-23 classes of use also contains less formaldehyde resins, but its service life does not exceed 6 years.

When renovating, many people ask the question which material is better: laminate or PVC tiles. This raises the question of what PVC panels are.

Turns out, that this is ordinary linoleum, which fits indoors. In this case, the material is sold in cut pieces of a certain size.

Therefore, the comparison is only made between laminate and linoleum, which has a standard size.

Everyone is worried about what will last longer, laminate or PVC panels. It is worth noting that linoleum is not as slippery as laminate flooring. Here the thickness of the laminate reaches 8 millimeters. Therefore, doors and sills have to be lifted.

PVC panels - only 2 millimeters. At the height of the flooring, this is not reflected in any way.

When the PVC panel is glued, it can be fixed directly onto the prepared surface. For laminate flooring, you need to use a special backing. Therefore, each individual must make a conclusion about which material is better.

In this article, we will still try to determine the positive and negative aspects of both materials.

Laminate. What it is

Laminate is a covering that consists of several layers. In the manufacture of laminate, paper and cardboard are used. Sometimes even steel is used in the manufacture of flooring.

The outer part of the material is lined with a special plastic film. It is often replaced with foil. It is the foil and film that are responsible for creating the desired color for the laminate. You can create a material that will simulate wood, tiles, and other types of materials.

There is a large amount of laminate, which is divided according to the quality and density of the coating.

Melamine resin creates the top tightest protective layer of the laminate. The supporting layer is made of fiberboard or internal combustion engine. This layer is responsible for the strength, moisture resistance and durability of the material.

The bottom layer is paper, cardboard, which are impregnated with special resins. At the edges, the laminate is treated with a water-repellent layer.

Dignity

  1. Laminate panels are fairly easy to install. According to the thorn-groove system, laminate slabs are folded on the floor. When you need to disassemble the coating, you can always quickly dismantle it. Laminate panels can be knocked in or simply snapped into place with locks. The lock is considered the most practical way to secure laminate flooring. This system minimizes damage to the panels.
  2. The coating is highly durable. Any mechanical stress is borne by the laminate. The heels, furniture legs or animal claws are not intimidating to the coating. However, it should be noted that for greater safety of the top layer of the coating, it is worth using special pads under the furniture legs, which will protect the laminate from sagging.
  3. Excellent resistance to high temperatures. If a burning match or a cigarette butt falls on the laminate flooring, the material will not catch fire like ordinary wood.
  4. Stains are not scary to laminate flooring. No stains remain after spills of wine, coffee or tea on the laminate flooring.
  5. Hygiene. The material is not prone to penetration of bacteria and dirt. Easy to clean, any stains can be easily removed with a damp cloth.

Flaws

  1. The main disadvantage of laminate flooring is its sensitivity to humid environments. When cleaning is carried out, do not use a washing vacuum cleaner. When water gets on the laminate, its surface begins to deform.
  2. The weakest point of a laminate floor is the seams. If the material was laid incorrectly, then water gets into the seams and damage to the laminate begins. First of all, the top layer peels off. Another drawback is the top layer, which is represented by a water-repellent film. Even if the cleaning took place with a damp cloth, the floor still dries for a long time.

Oddly enough, the top layer of the laminate is electrostatic, which in turn attracts dust. Modern types of laminate do not have such flaws. However, their price is almost the same as that of parquet.

Helpful information! It is imperative to lay a lining under the laminate, which eliminates the noise that is generated when walking on the coating.

PVC tiles - what is it

PVC is a vinyl tile. PVC panels are composed of several PVC layers. The top layer is an image, a picture, and the second layer is a protective layer. The material is quite simple to install and operate.

The floor covering can be made in one piece. The material itself allows this. You should not use any additional devices for laying the material. The service life of the material is quite high. PVC panels are not subject to deformation.

However, for laying PVC panels, it is necessary to take into account the fact that the surface must be perfectly flat. You can make a good screed or fill in plywood.

Dignity

  1. Cleanliness and hygiene of the material. PVC panels can be used in institutions, children's rooms for flooring. The material is not dangerous for people and the environment.
  2. High degree of moisture resistance. Vinyl tiles do not deteriorate when exposed to water. Therefore, you can safely use PVC panels in the wettest rooms. Even if the room is flooded, the PVC tiles will not suffer.
  3. The material is not hazardous from a fire point of view. PVC tiles do not burn, even when they are heated, they do not emit toxic substances that are harmful to health.
  4. Long service life. The material itself is very durable. Therefore, PVC panels can be used even in production where there is a large flow of people.
  5. PVC panels withstand mechanical shock. When hitting the material, no splits or cracks appear.
  6. PVC panels are good at isolating noise. The knock from heels, from the running of children, will not be heard on the floor made of such material.
  7. Convenient material for local repair. If one panel is out of order, then there is no need to change the entire coating. You only need to change one panel.
  8. Installation of PVC panels does not take much time and effort.
  9. No static voltage builds up on the tiles. This creates certain advantages over laminate flooring.
  10. PVC panels go well with heated floors. The tile can withstand high temperatures, so its quality does not change, the material does not deform.

Flaws

PVC panels have only one drawback. The fact is that the material is made from artificial components. You need to be careful about its installation in individual cases.

Outcomes

Each person individually chooses for himself what to install on the floor in his house: laminate or PVC panels. The choice is based on individual needs. In the presented video lessons there are all the nuances that are associated with the installation of materials on the floor.

Nowadays, it is not difficult to contact any construction hypermarket where you can buy laminate or PVC panels. The range of these products is more than convincing. There are a large number of materials that are of different quality and prices. The higher the price, the higher the quality. Don't skimp on flooring.

If you are not sure that all the work on the installation of the floor covering can be done by yourself, then you can always ask for help from specialists who have the necessary set of tools to do the job well. Professionals will help you calculate the required amount of materials that will be used to complete the work.

But it's worth noting that all the work can be done by yourself. You don't need to have certain skills to do this. The main thing is to follow the instructions that are intended for laying this or that material.

For the price, laminate flooring can take a lot more money than PVC panels. But it is worth it, because the appearance of the flooring is much more beautiful where the laminate is installed. In this situation, there will be a little more work.

: both are affordable, similar in name and appearance, comparable in environmental friendliness and other parameters, but which of them is still better for the consumer in terms of practicality, durability and other performance characteristics? Let's do a little comparative analysis.

Price

For most buyers, the question of price is decisive, so let's start with it.

PVC tiles can be bought in the price range from 990 to 2850 rubles per sq. m, while the range of prices for laminate flooring looks much wider: 670-3290 rubles per sq. m. Thus, on average, prices for PVC tiles and laminate flooring are comparable, but if you are looking for the absolute minimum prices, then we recommend that you turn your attention to laminate flooring.

0: 1 in favor of laminate, total score 0: 1

Moisture resistance

Everyone knows the behavior of laminate in a humid environment: it swells upon prolonged contact with water, so it is not intended for laying in bathrooms and other rooms with high dampness. At the same time, polyvinyl chloride, which forms the basis of PVC tiles, is insoluble in water, so it can be used for laying in rooms with high humidity.

1: 0 in favor of PVC tiles, total score 1: 1

Resistant to aggressive environments

Not only is polyvinyl chloride resistant to acids, alkalis, alcohol, fats, salt solutions, but also the upper polyurethane layer, which the PVC tile is coated with, has almost the same properties. It can easily withstand temperature fluctuations in the range of -60 ... + 80 ° C, and due to its strength it is used not only in the decoration of residential and commercial premises, but also in industry and the automotive industry.

Laminate flooring for the most part cannot boast of such properties (or you will have to pay completely different money for it), so we give the victory in this industry entirely to PVC tiles, which is especially important if you choose flooring for the kitchen, garage or other a room where contact with aggressive media is inevitable.

1: 0 in favor of PVC tiles, total score 2: 1

Ease of installation

Both laminate and PVC tiles can be either with a lock or with an adhesive connection, however, vinyl tiles can also be self-adhesive with a sticky adhesive layer intended for reusable use, which greatly simplifies its installation, and it offers much more options for choice. , therefore, we again have to give the victory in this category to her.

1: 0 in favor of PVC tiles, total score 3: 1

Thickness

The thickness of the floor covering affects many physical and mechanical parameters during its operation, including strength and thermal insulation, which means it is directly related to the comfort and service life of the product. The minimum thickness of the laminate is 7 mm, while for PVC tiles this is most often its maximum thickness (for comparison, for a laminate it can go up to 12.3 mm).

1: 0 in favor of the laminate, the total score is 3: 2

Manufacturer's warranty

By the way, about the service life. Many manufacturers give a lifetime warranty for the laminate, which you will never find in the warranty for PVC tiles. Of course, a lifetime warranty is given only for high-quality laminates of 33 and 34 classes of use and only when it is used in residential premises for its intended purpose, but for PVC tiles you will not find such a privilege even in the case of 43 load classes, so the laminate becomes the absolute champion here.

0: 1 in favor of the laminate, the total score is 3: 3

Design, color options and chamfering

Manufacturers of both laminate and PVC tiles produce extensive collections of both floor coverings, where you can easily select the desired shade, color, imitation of any type of wood, stone, concrete and other natural textures. In this regard, both coatings offer equal opportunities.

And even the bevel, which is popular with the consumer, is found both in the laminate and in PVC tiles, but in the first case it can be either 2- or 4-sided, having a V- or U-shaped bevel, including also a micro-bevel, and in the second case these possibilities are most often limited to only the standard 4V chamfer. But most importantly, bevels can be found in laminate even in cheap collections, while in vinyl tiles it is found only in expensive premium collections.

0: 1 in favor of the laminate, the total score is 3: 4

Coating care

Laminate flooring requires careful maintenance: first of all, it is afraid of a large amount of moisture, so wet cleaning of the laminate is limited. Vinyl flooring is not afraid of exposure to water, therefore regular PVC tile maintenance simpler.

1: 0 in favor of PVC tiles, total score 4: 4

Environmental friendliness

Both coatings are not environmentally friendly: each of them contains harmful substances to one degree or another. In vinyl tiles, when PVC burns, it releases dioxins and other carcinogenic substances. The composition of the laminate contains synthetic resins.

However, in both cases, manufacturers guarantee an E1 emission class for their products. This means that the level of emissions of harmful substances into the air does not exceed 0.12 mg per 1 cubic meter. m of air, which is absolutely safe for humans.

0: 0 - draw, total score 4: 4

Maintainability

In most cases, damaged laminate flooring is easier to repair. For local repairs, special markers, wax crayons and other coating restoration products have been created. In addition, the laminate floor can always be re-assembled thanks to the convenient locking connection, hiding the damage. At the moment, it is more difficult to repair PVC tiles, especially if an adhesive connection was used.

0: 1 in favor of the laminate, the total score is 4: 5

Still, which is better: PVC tile or laminate?

As you can see from the review, when choosing from two floor coverings with a small margin of one point, laminate still won. Parameters such as resistance to scratches, impacts, smoldering cigarettes, hairpins, UV radiation can be found in both floor coverings, depending on the collection and or the tile.

And yet, the victory of the laminate here is very conditional, since the final set of performance characteristics of the flooring will depend on a number of factors that are individual in each case. So, a consumer who chooses PVC tiles for the kitchen or in the corridor, where frequent wet cleaning is required, will be no less happy than the one who prefers laminate flooring in the study or living room, if only because it is cheaper and can be laid in the style of deck design. thanks to the double-sided chamfer.

When choosing between them, the main thing to remember is that the laminate is closer in structure to a wooden covering than PVC tiles, but it is significantly inferior to it in terms of moisture resistance.

Thus, after making a comparative analysis, we came to the conclusion that both coatings are worthy of their price category and, in general, are not inferior to each other. However, you need to understand that if you are planning high loads on the coating, an aggressive environment and other difficult operating conditions, then it is better to choose a more expensive floor covering in each of the categories, where it usually shows its best characteristics.

Renovation puts home owners in front of the choice of building materials. In particular, the flooring is represented by a mass of assortment. The issue of price is always considered in conjunction with quality and durability. Today we will analyze which is better than laminate or vinyl tiles. These two popular coatings deserve detailed consideration.

What is laminate

Learn more about coverage here. In short, this is a multi-layer board based on fiberboard. The lamella of the laminate has a stabilizing and protective layer.
Decorative paper or foil, on which the imitation of wood or other pattern is applied, makes laminate flooring popular and suitable for any interior.

Advantages and disadvantages:

There is also a minus: the coating is not environmentally friendly - it contains a mass of glue containing harmful substances.
If the indicators are exceeded, they can be released into the atmosphere, so it is important to choose the right manufacturer with a proven track record.

What is PVC tile

The covering, which resembles linoleum in its appearance, cut into geometric shapes, is a vinyl tile.
There is still a difference from the classic roll material: various shapes - from squares to waves and thickness. The material is relatively young, but has managed to win the approval of consumers.

Pros and cons

The advantages of PVC tiles include the following:

The disadvantages include the absolute non-environmental friendliness of the coating, but the principle of choice is similar to the laminate - a proven manufacturer.

Comparison of two floor coverings

So, knowing the advantages and disadvantages of each coating, and even mentally seeing them on the floor of your own apartment, is it possible to make a choice? Let's analyze the PVC laminate and tiles according to other criteria:

Appearance

There are no winners. Each coating is an individual pattern, natural motives, even photo printing. There are options that imitate leather or carpet.
All of them look decent in the corresponding interior.

Application

The choice of a room for laying this or that covering is dictated by its passage activity. For example, laminate flooring demands high class in kitchens, hallways, nurseries and bathrooms. In the last rooms, increased water resistance is required - a special laminate, the body of which is a one-piece plastic plate.

PVC tiles fit everywhere. It is only important to choose the right thickness. In bathrooms, kitchens, all rooms of the apartment and walk-through areas.
You cannot use PVC tiles in rooms without heating - vinyl is sensitive to cold and cracks from temperature changes.

Self styling (features)

Laminate flooring is not difficult - deck or diagonal, it is conducted from the far corner of the room, gradually combining with the following elements of the tongue-and-groove locking system. A flat base is required under the laminate - a screed, plywood flooring or scraping boards.

Laying PVC tiles requires meticulousness:

Operation of the tiles starts on the same day - you can walk on the floor immediately. As a result: which is easier to install - laminate or PVC tiles? The answer is laminate.

Price

The price range for PVC tiles ranges from 700 to 5500 rubles per 1 sq. m. the increase in cost depends on the selected thickness, the materials used in the layers and the quality assurance for the specified service life. Laminate is cheaper. Expensive options with a high class of wear resistance will cost their owners 3 thousand rubles and more per 1 running meter. Budgetary coverage - from 700 rubles per 1 running meter.

It is important to choose a reputable manufacturer of flooring. European companies remain legislators; the Chinese assortment is of good quality. The Russian manufacturer belongs to the economy class.

conclusions

So which is better - laminate or PVC tiles? There can be no unequivocal preference. Each coating has a number of advantages and disadvantages. The choice is made based on the answers to the following questions:

  1. The purpose of the room. Active rooms are covered with reliable coverings that are not afraid of moisture and damage.
  2. Budget. It is better to purchase an expensive coating for several decades than to change it every year. Frequent renovations are good for hostels or before real estate sales.
  3. Harmlessness. Polymers do not belong to the environment, but without them, floor coverings - tiles and laminate - are not produced. They choose a certified product with a hygiene certificate.
  4. Ease of installation. The lion's share of the repair budget will remain if you do the styling yourself.
  5. Easy maintenance. Keeping the floor clean is important every day. If there is no time for this, they choose a coating with minimal maintenance.

Good luck with your choice!

The floor is a part of the interior for which such characteristics as practicality and durability are especially important.

If you want to install not just stylish, beautiful, but reliable and high-quality floor, then vinyl laminate is perfect for you.
It appeared on the market not so long ago, but managed to become the most popular among other floor coverings.

Composition and structure

The main criterion for the strength of this material is precisely vinyl, with which the base is treated in order to increase wear resistance.

The laminate plank consists of two layers: protective and bottom.

Top protective layer usually made from polyurethane or aluminum oxide.
This layer gives the surface an aesthetic look like stone, wood or parquet, it is also able to imitate the appearance of leather, sand in three-dimensional quality.

The bottom layer, aka the base, is made of vinyl, which is the key to the durability of this type of floor.
The thickness of the vinyl layer is about 0.5 mm.

Between these layers passes middle in the form of stone chips, and is also issued substrate from vinyl, as an additional stabilization layer.

Advantages and disadvantages

Due to its multi-layer nature, vinyl laminate is in many ways superior to other types of coatings, and this is the same. Not only such a "sandwich" structure, but also the materials from which the floor is made, help it withstand large load, including heavy sports equipment, furniture.

It is also important that the coating tolerates moisture, detergents and non-slip. Possible damage can be tolerated. It is important to note that such a floor initially has sound and thermal insulation qualities, due to its composition.

Plus, when heated, vinyl will not emit harmful substances.

Laying will also greatly benefit from other coatings - vinyl tiles are easily separated, which allows them to be laid evenly to each other.

To summarize, collecting all the advantages of vinyl laminate:

  • strength;
  • The strength of quartz vinyl tiles is due to the inclusion of up to 80% of quartz sand in its composition and reinforcement with fiberglass.

  • durability;
  • Tiles are not easily abraded and scratched, therefore they are considered and are durable.

  • soundproofing;
  • thermal insulation;
  • Possessing good thermal insulation properties, this material is widely used for the manufacture of warm floors.

  • wear resistance;
  • The vinyl laminate contains mineral chips or quartz sand, which ensures high wear resistance of the material. Usually they correspond to the 34-43 class.

  • ease of care;
  • The tile is characterized by antibacterial and antiseptic properties, it is easy to clean, which ensures ease of maintenance.

  • original design, large selection of coatings;
  • The original design of the outer surface of the material makes it possible to create an imitation of ceramics, parquet, granite.

  • ease of styling;

This floor will look great in any room, it is unpretentious to maintain. Vinyl laminate, unlike the usual look, safe for health, so it is recommended and widely used in schools, hospitals, kindergartens and other preschool institutions.

In addition, due to its moisture resistance, vinyl laminate, like no other, is suitable for use in rooms with high humidity. It can be a swimming pool, a gym, some basement, and even a bathroom, a bathhouse.
Vinyl laminate disadvantages but are they there? It is difficult to identify problems with such a floor covering, so we will only note its cost. It is several times higher than the price of both conventional laminate and other materials.

In addition, there is one trick that is not known to all users. Despite its resistance to stains, on contact with rubber, the floor starts to lose its color... A chemical reaction occurs that can permanently change the color of the floor.

Any rubber mat is contraindicated for such a floor. The heel of rubber shoes can do the same damage to the coating.

As already stated, the life of vinyl covering is much longer than any other and is more than 25 years. But, despite such a long period, any thing is prone to wear out. Direct sunlight can lead to fading, significant lightening of the floor, therefore, if a vinyl laminate has served you for a long number of years, yellowness will inevitably appear on it.

And yet, despite the vinyl, it is still laminate. And like any other he is not a fireproof material.

If, when heated slightly, vinyl laminate does not emit harmful substances, then it becomes toxic when ignited. Therefore, it is not recommended to put it in the kitchen or in other areas with an increased likelihood of fire.

Kinds

Vinyl laminate flooring is easiest to divide immediately into two types: by the method of installation and by composition.

The laying method can be of two types: with glue, or with a locking system.

Glue

Not the most popular type of laminate. It is rare in stores, installation is extremely difficult, there are no special devices, besides, the glue itself is also a rare find for such purposes. But if you still find and apply good glue, then it fits so tightly that moisture and damage are no longer terrible for such a coating.

The coating becomes perfectly smooth and durable.

But there is a catch here as well. If one panel of the laminate is damaged, then it is no longer possible to replace it.
Replacing the panel will damage other parts of the floor, the edges are damaged and all this, in the end, will lead to the need to change the entire floor.

The demand for a self-adhesive type is small, so it is more profitable for manufacturers to completely abandon supplies with adhesive joints.

Castle

It is much more popular than glue and is the most common. First of all, because such a floor can be repeatedly disassemble or restore, if one tile is damaged.

Laying does not require a lot of tools, usually these are:

  • roulette;
  • square;
  • pencil;
  • hacksaw;
  • circular or joinery saw;
  • hammer and electric drill.

Everything is the same as when laying an adhesive coating.

Locking material can have click and lock connections.

The first is a collapsible lock, and the second consists of latches. If we compare with glue, then the castle susceptible to moisture.

The high strength laminate is quartz vinyl laminate... Quartz gives this coating a special hardness.

Its production takes place by means of hot pressing, which contributes to a denser stacking of all layers, the upper one is aesthetic in appearance polyurethane.

According to the manufacturing method and composition, vinyl laminate is also divided into vinyl-pvc.
Such tiles, in addition to layers of vinyl, resin, stabilizers and plastic, contain an additional layer of PVC, which protects the floor from many damage and environmental influences.

Styling

Laying vinyl laminate flooring is essentially the same as laying out conventional laminate flooring. The main feature is lightness and simplicity.

The vinyl floor has the ability to install on any old surface from ceramics, concrete or linoleum.
The process is divided into stages

  1. The base for laying is carefully leveled, putty is made.
  2. The surface is cleaned from moisture, dust and dirt. The material itself is cleaned using the same system and kept indoors for about two days.
  3. Before starting installation, the room temperature is checked. It should be at least +18 degrees.
  4. Slat cut. Separation of laminate planks is done with a hacksaw or scissors. After separating the boards, special glue is applied to them.
  5. Laying starts from the corner of the room, the connection of the planks should be at an angle of 45 degrees.

Very quick installation. Just a few hours.

It is also important not to forget about the retreat of the planks from the wall by 4-5 mm. Everything is carefully checked for the possible appearance of cracks and uneven joints.

The same applies to the laying of the interlocking laminate. First, the panels are joined at the specified angle, then they are snapped onto the lock with a slight downward pressure.

At the end of the work, the floor is checked again for unevenness and the strength of the joining of the planks. The best way to do this is to use a special rolling roller.
