  3. Inside the resulting truncated pyramid, a gearbox is attached to a smaller frame.
  4. According to the drill collection scheme, a motor is installed on top, connecting it to a gearbox with a short shaft (pre-made). The handle, which regulates the fuel supply, is brought out to the upper large frame. It also has an emergency engine shutdown system.
  5. Connect using a piece of pipe to the output shaft of the drill gearbox. Parts are connected with dowels or pins.

Cultivator

The device simplifies the processing of the garden, beds. If they are of a small area, a do-it-yourself cultivator made from a chainsaw has an advantage over branded products - it will save money on the purchase.


To make a homemade cultivator from a chainsaw, they start from the frame. It is made in the form of a cube using 32x32 corners.   1. Make a sheet metal mounting plate. On one side, 2 holes are drilled through which it is attached to the chainsaw instead of a tire. On the other hand, a compressor is placed.
  2. A coupling and a pulley are installed on the blower drive shaft.
  3. Place the second pulley on the saw motor output shaft.
  4. A belt is put on the pulleys to transmit rotation.
  5. The inlet of the supercharger is equipped with an automotive oil filter with residual oil. Air through it is sucked in with oil particles, which reduces compressor overheating during operation.

To start the device, turn on the chainsaw motor. When it picks up speed, the coupling is triggered, the supercharger starts to work. A hose is connected to its outlet, through which the wheels of the car are pumped.

Mower

Most often, a do-it-yourself lawn mower from a chainsaw is made of a rotary type. It looks like a small cart on which all the units and parts are mounted. Make it welded using metal pipes or strips. From below, wheels are installed, the size of which should allow the device to move without difficulty on any surface.

  5. Blade knives made from an old hacksaw are attached to the disk. Their width is 3 cm, length - 12. The connection is made with M6 bolts loosely, which allows to protect the blades from breaking when they meet stones.

Circular

There are two sawmill options. They differ in the vertical or horizontal arrangement of the working tool.

The device with the vertical position of the chainsaw contains:

  1. A guide, which is made from a section of a channel or a rectangular shaped pipe. Its length should be greater than the size of the processed logs.
  2. Sled. For manufacturing, 2 pieces (40 cm each) of a 50x50 corner are used. They are welded at the ends of the upper shelves perpendicular to 2 metal strips 3 mm thick. The distance between the inner surfaces of the vertical flanges of the angles must correspond to the size of the channel or pipe.


  1. In the middle of each of the corners, identical vertical plates with coaxial holes are welded on top.
  2. A steel rod is inserted into them, attached by welding perpendicular to the tire of the chainsaw. On the rod on both sides of one of the vertical corners, pipe segments are placed. The latter are fixed with M8 bolts through the corresponding threaded holes. They serve to set the thickness of the resulting boards.

For circular operation:

  1. A guide is placed on top of the log and fastened to it with self-tapping screws with countersunk heads.
  2. Install on the slide rail.
  3. They turn on the engine of the chainsaw and move it along with the slide along the log.

A machine

Chainsaws can be used to make different types of machines. One of them is the kart buggy, which is distinguished by the presence of a suspension in the design. It makes the car more comfortable off-road.

The process of creating such a homemade car is complex. This is especially true of the frame, which is welded from metal or shaped pipes according to pre-drawn drawings. Then they are engaged in the manufacture of suspension, steering parts.

Buggy making operations include:

  • suspension assembly;
  • installation of a rudder, rods and launcher;
