In addition, soap making is such an interesting activity that for many it becomes not only an interesting hobby, but also a way of additional income.

What is needed for an exclusive

In order to make soap at home, you need the following:

Soap base

When buying, you should carefully look: on the basis of what it is produced. The best option would be natural palm or coconut oil.

Also, ordinary cosmetic or baby soap can act as a base.

But when using them, the result can be unpredictable - the appearance of an unpleasant odor is possible (due to the presence of its own specific aroma).

Various additives and fillers

Preference should be given not only to your tastes, but also to consider the variety of home soap assortment.

The choice should be made in favor of oils that do not have a sharp and powerful aroma, for example, peach, jojoba, almond, coconut, olive and avocado oils.

Note!

You can add aroma with the help of essential oils. Lemon, lavender, orange and many other oils are perfect.

Soap filler can be flowers of medicinal plants, lemon peel (for oily skin), ground coffee beans or oatmeal (for scrub). Necessarily presence of glycerin. This filler will create the effect of moisturizing and softening the skin.

Dyes

They are used to give a beautiful shade. After all, colored soap is more pleasing to the eye. You can use both food colors and natural ones.

Among the artificial ones:

  • dry powder - more concentrated, which allows it to be spent economically;
  • liquid dye - more convenient to use;
  • pigment - a water-insoluble powder of different colors, the use of which will give unique shades;
  • mother of pearl - used together with dyes, giving the soap originality and sophistication.

Natural dyes are no less interesting and beautiful.

Note!

Get a blue tint will help chamomile essential oil, yellow - saffron, pink - beet juice, black - coffee, green - spirulina algae, and brown will give chocolate.

Hand tools

Molds - the type and size of soap depends on them; two metal containers - creating the effect of a water bath; grater - for grinding the soap base.

Making handmade soaps

This interesting lesson will not take much time, and a master class in the manufacture of soap will help to visually review the entire procedure.

When doing soap making, it is important to remember that this process should be carried out in a respirator.

When making on the basis of the finished cosmetic soap, it should be grated and melted. For this, a water bath is used. It is not necessary to heat too much, just wait for the melting.

Note!

The maximum heating temperature should not exceed 60 ° C. To determine it is better to use a thermometer designed for liquids.

You can bring the base into a liquid state using a microwave. In this case, there is a risk of overheating, so it is necessary to check the condition of the substrate every 15-20 seconds.

After obtaining the desired consistency, it is time to add fillers to the soap base. Using various ingredients and essential oils, it is important to remember that busting is a poor helper, and carefully monitor the amount of added substances.

The next step is dye. Its quantity also needs to be accurately measured. It’s better to add a little, gradually tracking the resulting shade.

It remains only to pour the soap mixture into the prepared molds. They must be lubricated with oil (vegetable) or petroleum jelly. This will help more quickly remove the soap after solidification.

Soap in a bottle with a dispenser

You can make yourself not only small cubes, but also liquid soap for hands. Its preparation differs from the main one only by the addition of a small amount of water. Pour it in 15 minutes after cooking, and then beat well.

It remains to pour the soap into the bottles with the dispenser and enjoy the product of their own manufacture.

Handmade liquid soap is more convenient to use, and it can also be used as a natural shower gel.

The secret of making handmade soap is revealed. Now everyone knows how to please themselves, relatives and friends with the naturalness and extraordinary beauty of a simple hygiene product.

DIY soap photo

The simplest type of soap making at home is soap making from children's soap. In addition, for beginners in this case, this is just a godsend. Having tried at least once to cook the soap with your own hands, you are unlikely to want to return to ordinary soap. Firstly, it’s profitable to make soap at home, secondly, it’s useful to use everything natural and useful for yourself, and thirdly, it’s a very fascinating and interesting activity.

If you decide to make soap at home, but are afraid, so to speak, to ruin everything, then I think it's worth trying to start taking the first steps using baby soap. Here, less work and time, but considerable experience. Do not be afraid to experiment, because it is from your imagination and great desire that you can get an excellent result. I will try as much as possible and clearly present you the most basic meaning of how to make soap at home.

I want to talk about how to make real soap. Of course, it’s better to start with the baby, adding various oils, flavors and colors to it. Here are a few simple steps in the process of making the most straightforward soap recipes.

First, I choose the ingredients (baby soap, dyes, flavors and base oils).

Secondly, I make soap shavings and a water bath.

Why do I prefer baby soap? Because it has no chemical additives. This soap is intended for delicate baby skin, because such a skin is susceptible to perfumes and alkaline environments. Therefore, you can safely add your own ingredients (oils, decoctions, flowers), and you get a soap with the right aroma, color and shape. Also in children's soap contains moisturizing glycerin, lanolin, vegetable oils, which beneficially affect the skin without irritating it.
When choosing baby soap, I always pay attention to the smell - the less it is, the better, and it can be interrupted. The composition also should not have chemical additives, flavors and perfumes, since the desired result in this case is impossible to achieve and you can only spoil everything. In addition, the packaging and quality of the soap should not reveal any suspicion. Of course, if in doubt, it is better to choose another option. And finally, learn from mistakes - try and draw the appropriate conclusions.

For me, the main characteristics of a good soap are the following indicators:

Soap is odorless or practically without it.

It melts well and is easy to grind into chips.

Do not forget about precautions when working with hot molten soap and oils, as well as in the manufacture of chips, which can create harmful soap dust.

What additives to choose for making soap at home? You can add anything to your handmade soap, but not all ingredients can retain their color, smell and shape. Also, when choosing various components, start from what type of skin you are, what it is missing at the moment, what problems you would like to solve with it, etc. Various supplements will help to achieve results. You will learn about what our skin needs. from the article “Facial care at home” on the site “Sunny hands” .

Base soap is added to soap to improve its qualities and properties. Each oil is unique in composition and gives the most diverse properties to the resulting soap: softness, creaminess, foaminess and others. In a special soap store you can buy jojoba oil, olives, macadamia and use them in your first experiments. You can not add these oils if you are still in doubt about your abilities. Flavors and natural colors can be added. Well-known natural additives, such as decoctions, tinctures, berry juices, dry petals of flowers, fruits, berries, garden herbs, parsley and dill, and so on, will give everyone color and aroma. You can even use ready-made liquid or dry dyes, which are sold in the same specialty stores.

Essential oils, which can be purchased at the pharmacy, will also give special properties and aroma to your soap. And over time, when you gain experience, it is quite possible to buy them in a soap store.

Each oil carries a different effect: it relaxes or invigorates, has an antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effect, and much more.
As a scrub, you can use such components as poppy, coffee, clay (blue, white, pink, green), oatmeal (cereal, whole or ground), ground nuts. In this case, the main thing is not to shift the ingredients, since the soap can crumble a lot and lather poorly.

To make soap at home from children's soap, you need such dishes and tools:
- a fine grater (the smaller, the faster the soap chips will melt);
- a strong pan for a water bath (iron and heat-resistant);
- a glass or porcelain (heat-resistant) plate of smaller diameter than the pan;
- molds for filling (soft disposable jars, silicone molds for baking);
- a plate for melting solid oil;
- a knife for cutting cooked soap and a spoon.

If everything is ready, then you can start creating your own soap!
So, I rub pieces of baby soap on a grater;

For a water bath, pour water on a stove on the stove so that the plate with the chips is immersed in the water to the brim. Heat must be transferred from boiling water to a plate. And in order for the chips to melt well, you can add water or even milk to it, which is even better. The latter will give the soap special emollient properties. Melting processes such as sugar (regular or vanilla), chocolate or honey will accelerate the melting process. You can add a decoction of herbs, previously diluting it with warm milk. Herbal decoctions are also incredibly beneficial for the skin. How to cook them, read. Moreover, all components must be added when the soap is in a water bath. The melting process on average takes 15-20 minutes.

Make sure that your soap does not boil, otherwise there will be unwanted bubbles in the soap. And as soon as the soap melts, becomes viscous and without lumps, you can safely add base oils (1 tablespoon per 100 grams). Then I remove it from the water bath and add essential oils, dyes and other necessary components. It is better to do this at the end of the procedure, since such substances are volatile. The resulting mass is stirred and poured into molds. You can add different components to the molds if you make different soaps at the same time.

After the spill, the resulting soap should cool. To do this, I put it to cool in the refrigerator until a solid consistency is obtained. Then I spread it in the air to remove the remaining moisture. The soap will dry out due to water, so I cut off the excess with a knife.

How much about the ingredients to add per 100 grams of baby soap?

1 tablespoon of base oils;

100 grams of any of the above liquids (milk, decoctions and more);

6-7 drops of essential oils;

4-5 drops of dye;

50 grams of other additives (honey, coffee, oatmeal, chocolate, sugar and more).

Soap recipes at home from baby soap.

Soap “Cleansing”. Due to its constituents, soap has a powerful disinfecting effect.

We will need:

Baby soap-100 g

Water-2 cups

Camphor alcohol-1 tbsp. l

Ammonia alcohol-1 tbsp. l

Citric acid - 0.5 tsp.

Glycerin-1 Art. l

Hydrogen Peroxide - 100 ml.

Cooking like this:

We rub the soap on a fine grater, pour it into a pan filled with 2 glasses of water. After 3-4 hours, when the soap becomes slightly acidic in water, place the pan in a water bath and wait for the soap to completely dissolve. Once the soap has completely melted, add citric acid, camphor and ammonia. Mix everything thoroughly and remove from heat.

Lastly, add small amounts of hydrogen peroxide. If desired, you can add 3-4 drops of tea tree oil. Again, mix everything well and pour in the molds. After 2 days, it is safe to use soap to cleanse problem skin. A similar type is prone to acne. How to get rid of acne read on the portal "Solar Hands » .

Coffee Scrub Soap

Baby soap-100 g

1 glass of water

Olive oil-1 tbsp. l

Sea-buckthorn oil-1 tbsp. l

Patchouli essential oil-5-6 drops

Ground coffee-3 tsp

Rub the soap. Melt in a water bath. After removing from heat, add all the oils, mix, add coffee, mix again and pour into molds. Coffee for this soap can be made coarse, because soap is a scrub.

In general, for the manufacture of scrub soap as abrasives, you can take such ingredients as: poppy seeds, large oatmeal, ground grape seeds, ground walnut shell, any cosmetic clay.

Soap "Honey and Milk" marble.

The manufacture of this soap differs from the rest not only in the recipe, but also in its unusual appearance — it will be marble in our country. To start, I will list the ingredients:

Baby soap-100 g

Milk - 150 ml

Honey-1 l

Olive oil-1 tbsp. l

Sea-buckthorn oil-1 tbsp. l

Orange oil 3-4 drops

Chocolate 3-4 cubes

Rub soap, put in a water bath, add milk and honey. Do not forget to interfere. When the mass is completely melted, remove from heat and divide it into 2 parts exactly in half. In one part, add sea buckthorn and orange oil, and in the other olive oil and rub pieces of chocolate on a fine grater. When the mixture cools down a bit, we begin to fill it in the form in this way: the first layer goes orange, the second chocolate, again orange, etc. Then gently mix the composition several times in a chaotic manner or in circular motions and set to solidify.

Coconut Soap

I just love the aroma of coconut, so from time to time I prepare fragrant coconut soap. And the composition of all the ingredients is much smaller and simpler:

Baby soap-100 g

Water-200 ml

Coconut shavings-3 tbsp. l

Coconut or vanilla oil-3 tbsp. l

We rub the soap, as usual, put in a water bath, add water. Grind coconut shavings on a coffee grinder. You can, of course, not grind, then the soap will acquire the effect of a scrub. Remove the melted soap from the fire, add coconut shavings, vanilla or coconut oil, or maybe a mix, but then you will have to add 1.5 tablespoons of each oil. Mix everything thoroughly and pour into molds. If ordinary water in this recipe is replaced with milk, then the foam from this soap will be even more tender, and the aroma of coconut even more pronounced.

Anti-cellulite soap

Baby soap-100 g

Water-50 ml

Olive oil-2 tbsp. l

Ground coffee-2 tbsp. l

Coarse sea salt-2 tbsp. l

Rub soap and put in a water bath. Next, add olive oil and gradually pour in hot boiled water. The whole mass is continuously stirred. When the soap has completely dissolved, remove it from the heat and add salt and coffee. Again, mix everything and put it in the molds. After 2-3 days, the soap is ready for use. Using such a soap is very effective in the fight against cellulite 2-3 times a week, but it is worth remembering and knowing that it contains sea salt, which can dry the skin, so after taking a shower with such a soap, moisturize the body with a nutritious lotion or milk. Make your body even more beautiful advice of the author of the portal "Solar Hands" Olga Sheina which she shares in the article “Face and body care” .

Actually, as you see, it’s not difficult to make soap from children's soap, I would say simply nowhere. The cooking sequence is the same, here only the composition of the products changes. The main points of cooking are clear, everything else is yours. The composition and type of soap will depend on what additives you choose. Turn on the fantasy and go! Good luck to you soap making!

Sincerely, Evgenia Tsvetkova.

The first step to be taken is to cut the base for the future soap in the form of small pieces. Or you can grate it - so the product melts faster to the desired consistency. Now you need to melt the soap base (this is done in a water bath). Periodically, you need to stir it. Add the selected base oil to the soap at the rate of three teaspoons per 100 grams of base.

All the while basis for soap will be on fire, periodically pour a little cream or milk to it until a creamy mass is formed. You can replace milk with water or herbal decoctions, but in this case, the product may turn out to be insufficiently solid. It is better to use sugar instead of milk and water - so the base will melt better and faster.

When the soap has completely melted, remove the pan from the stove and add various additional ingredients: essential oils, glycerin (a teaspoon), flavorings, colorings, and any other ingredients. In this process, be guided exclusively by your taste preferences.

Then pour the product into the molds and sprinkle alcohol on top, this will eliminate the appearance of bubbles on the surface. Leave the soap in the molds until it hardens completely, you can also put it in the refrigerator or just in a cool place. After about two to three days, it will completely harden and will be suitable for use.

Now we have come close to making whipped soap in the cold way.

To decorate our prepared basics, as well as for independent holiday (and not only New Year's) cupcakes, whipped soap fits perfectly.

Whipped soap is loved by gentle love for a number of advantages:

  • It is definitely more gentle than regular classic toilet soap.
  • Its airy texture melts on the skin, leaving only a pleasant sensation after washing.
  • It does not sink in water. And for children, this could be another toy in the bathroom.
  • It looks very attractive compared to a smooth and even classic soap from scratch.

But whipped soap has several disadvantages:

  • It is washed off somewhat faster than ordinary toilet soap.
  • Longer ripening compared to regular classic sodium soap.
  • I want to return to it again and again, thereby forcing myself to make new batches of soap!
