Ideas for renovating a room in the country. Country interior in harmony with nature

A small building on a site outside the city is used not only for storing inventory and crops. This is a rest from the bustle of the city, noise and smog. The interior of a country house should be natural, cozy. Old furniture and worn rugs find their place in it. Everyone can create a harmonious design in a country style with their own hands. It is enough to turn on the fantasy and work hard.

Small but cozy house

Natural and cozy cottage style conducive to relaxation

Tree in the interior of a country house

Vadik and I once again helped our aunts. They decided to restore their wooden cottages and at the same time change the design inside the houses. Dacha buildings had no heating other than fireplaces and lived in them only in the summer. In winter they came occasionally. Wallpaper and plaster will not last long, they will become unusable from dampness. Buying expensive furniture in a room that is not heated in winter is pointless. In addition, there are enough old things from which you can create a design for relaxing in a country house.

We went to see. While I was making a list of necessary work to put the house in order, Vadik took photographs of rooms and furniture, wrote down the dimensions. According to them, we will do the interior design with our own hands. The interior of the country house is a mixture of several styles.

  1. Natural and eco style. Dacha is outdoor recreation. A person should be surrounded by natural materials and soft natural tones.
  2. You can’t do without retro, especially in our case. Elderly relatives constantly sent old things to the dacha, which it is a pity to throw away. They have various memories associated with these objects, and the aunts will not agree to part with them. We need to fit them into our design and furnish the country house.
  3. Elements characteristic of a minimalist design will allow you to rationally use the free space.
  4. Inside a small wooden house, the kitchen, dining room and hall are located in the same room. It is necessary to use zoning according to the principle of the studio.
  5. Eclecticism or kitsch, depends on the number and brightness of handmade decor items. But without paintings, napkins and embroideries, the design will not do.
  6. The simplicity of ethnic styles is more relaxing than the gloss and strict geometry of glass and metal. Therefore, the interior design in the country welcomes the Russian style, rustic and country.

Wooden walls serve as a background for furniture and decor of a country house. It is not desirable to trim warm natural material. If it is not possible to varnish and preserve the pattern of wood, then it can be painted.

Design and independent arrangement of a country house

Pleasant and cozy interior in a country house

The design of the living room was made according to the principle of the studio. Space was limited, so the kitchen was conditionally separated by a counter. On the one hand, food could be cut on the countertop. The second served as a dining table. Open shelves attached to the ceiling. It was convenient to put dishes on them and this is additional zoning.

In the created kitchen, the wooden walls were painted milky. Moved the cabinets. Short curtains in a flower with frills were hung on the window.

The recreation area was collected from the old furniture of the country house. The aunts sewed colorful covers from old clothes according to our measurements with their own hands. A sofa was placed in front of the fireplace. Wicker chairs were placed on the sides. There was a coffee table in the center. Over time, the hostesses supplemented our design. They hung their embroideries and drawings of grandchildren on the walls. The floor was covered with homespun and knitted rugs, created long ago with their own hands. Different-sized pillows were laid out on chairs and a sofa. Old vases and various souvenirs found their place on the mantelpiece and table.

To the side of the recreation area, we placed a desktop and a computer chair under the window. Here you can work without disturbing others and even see the lawn in front of the house. We have a free space for children to play. Aunts could relax, warm themselves in front of the country fireplace, and at the same time look after their grandchildren.

Most of the space of the country house was freed up using the principle of minimalist style. There are drawers under the sofa where a lot of things can be placed. The steps also kept under them a lot of different smaller items. Pots and basins for making jam were placed on the shelves under the island. The design of the interior space of the country house was developed in advance, according to the photo taken by Vadik.

Sleep well in the attic of a wooden house

Loft design

When we cleared the attic of the house, we got a large space with a low sloping ceiling. They put a heater between the beams and sewed up the clapboard. They laid the floor. Then they placed all the bedside tables and chests on the sides, where there is a small height and it is impossible to walk. They also made sleeping places from trestle beds. A podium was built behind the curtain and a large mattress was placed on it. Now all the guests who came for the weekend with an overnight stay will have enough beds.

The aunts themselves took care of the country bed linen, blankets and rugs for the house. They made a bright decor in a marine style. Red and blue stripes were sewn onto a white canvas, an application in the form of an anchor. We installed the old steering wheel. Sea shells and corals were laid out all around. The kids loved the design of the attic.

We create the interior design of a country house and a harmonious combination of furniture from different eras

Country house interior

The furniture in the country house represented a vinaigrette of styles and eras. We cleaned all the bedside tables and tables to the tree. Where it was impossible to do this, they painted and pasted a film under the wood.

The chairs were different. They differed too much in form. Among them were:

  • stools of different sizes;
  • bar stools on metal and wooden legs;
  • benches;
  • puffs.

We decided to combine them with color. Suitable for country interiors. We chose lilac and its components: blue and pink. They covered the soft seats with foil, and painted everything in rich colors. Over time, the aunts made covers with frills, and completed the design of their country house.

What is a country holiday without tea in the fresh air and flowers around the house

Country house with a plot

You can fully relax only after sitting near the house in the evening admiring the sunset, then the stars. There was a samovar for country tea drinking. Every year, flowers were planted in front of the aunt's entrance. Their flower beds bloomed until late autumn.

Dacha is a place where the soul rests. There is usually work for the body in the country. It is necessary to dig up, plant, water, weed, even if only flowers grow. And if there is a garden and a garden, then also collect, conserve and lower it into the basement.

Then find time to go into the forest, if not for mushrooms, then just get some air. In the morning, get up earlier than usual for work and go to feed the mosquitoes, or rather go fishing. Then prepare firewood and fuss around the barbecue in the evening.

What is the difference between a dacha and an ordinary residential building, besides the fact that they rarely go there, or rather they do not live permanently. All the old furniture no longer needed in the apartment is brought to the dacha and they create comfort from it. The result is a mixture of styles, trends, color schemes. They even came up with a name for it. If the interior is motley, then Kitsch, and the softer one is simply Country.

Dacha is a place where you can fulfill your dream. What can not be done in the apartment, but really want to? Of course the fireplace. Therefore, the whole situation begins with him.

Large, made of natural stone, with a solid base that serves as a shelf and can turn into a bench. The fireplace takes up a lot of space, but it is the main element of the interior. The living room in the form of a table and two armchairs is added with a sofa from a wide window sill. When you sleep on the bed, your legs rest against the conditional wall of the bedroom. But trees rustle outside the window and cars drive very rarely.

The next dream of a summer resident is a veranda. On it you can sit in an easy chair and drink tea. The silence is broken only by the rustle of leaves and the singing of birds.

When you walk, the floorboards creak. But wicker furniture, which has long gone out of fashion, has found its application. It is good to sit on such a veranda when it rains. Drops hit the roof and run down the windows. And on the sofa made of vines, it is dry and comfortable to read a book.

The dacha itself is usually small, and there are many who want to relax. At any moment we must be ready for an influx of guests who will stay until tomorrow. Therefore, the sofa in the living room, and even a wide window sill can become sleeping places. This is another feature of a country house.

And although the exhaust pipe was finished with plastic during the repair, and the monitor is large next to the fireplace, all the same, old sofas and the warmth of the fireplace create coziness and a special atmosphere.

Another option with a fireplace. The stone hearth has been restored. Above it is a large TV screen. Sofas and a soft couch stand so that you can watch and bask. Another sofa stands along the wall with windows, but it is already in the dining room. Next to the kitchen, you can also see the fire from it and what the screen shows. Everything is compact and functional. Large windows turn the living room and dining table area into a veranda.

Old wooden furniture has been refurbished and given a second life. Sideboards slightly closed the windows, setting off the fireplace.

Or vice versa. The stone fireplace protrudes forward, wide, with a new grate. And modest shabby lockers are modestly crowded on the sides, behind him.

But hearths can also serve as an addition to the interior. Here is a sample of a living room in the country, designed by professional designers in high-tech style. Here, even firewood and niches where they are stored are decoration. Clear symmetry of the fireplace, ceiling beams and furniture. A large role in the atmosphere is played by the light that pours through the large glass windows and the door.

Such a cottage is not just for relaxation, it is for prestige.

An example of a summer cottage interior in techno style. Curved chrome pipes, lots of shiny surfaces and cabinetry-like furniture.

And this is minimalism with avant-garde elements. The room is designed for a teenager.

Excellent country style interiors for new buildings. When there are no old things that fill the cottages, you can create a bright and harmonious composition from new furniture and simple decor elements, in the form of bouquets or just tall vases with branches. Light curtains and lots of natural wood.

Summer shower under a tree is certainly good. But when you spend weekends in the country in winter, especially if there are children in the family, then you also take care of the bathroom. For this, an old cast-iron bath with legs in the form of paws and a washbasin with a cabinet are quite suitable. And a light curtain, gathered in wide ribbons, will replace Roman blinds. The wooden walls are painted white. Candlesticks converted into light bulbs.

Old washstands and flasks with magical plants. Large round rug in quilted fabric. You won't want to leave with this bathroom.

This one was made in an extension. They did not even have time to paint the partition separating the shower. But the stone floor and tiles will allow children to splash around, and are not afraid to spill water.

The family of gourmets decided to choose their cottage according to the cuisine most suitable for them. They were faced with a very large selection of sizes, designs and styles.

Beautiful and compact kitchens, convenient for a small family. Combined with dining rooms. The mood of the interior is created by a round table with a bright tablecloth and a square glass table.

The wooden furniture is covered with glossy paint. Kitchen appliances, including a refrigerator, are built into cabinets and cabinets. The room is bright and spacious, you can accommodate a large family with friends.

Large old stoves with 5 burners and an abundance of cutting tables allow not only to cook several dishes at once, but also to accommodate two cooks in the kitchen. Wood, combined with soft tones, creates a light environment. At the tables in the form of a bar you can have a bite to eat or drink a cafe without leaving the dining room.

Thanks to individual decorative elements or a set of them, the kitchen may look unreal, like from a parallel world. Flasks with dry plants, a giant plate, glass round backs of chairs and a lamp, like the wings of a pterodactyl.

In the country, sleep is special, sweet and gives special cheerfulness. When you wake up to the sound of birds. That mood is always good.

Usually the interior of the country bedroom is light and airy. No dark curtains and no alarm clock. Even for fishing you get up at dawn yourself, awakened by the first rays of the sun.

Old beds are reminiscent of childhood. On nets, with feather beds and lots of pillows. There are rugs on the floor, simple, homemade.

Soft light linen will give coolness on a hot summer day. And wicker baskets will keep things in themselves.

Cheerful bedroom in kitsch style. The apartment will look too colorful, but just right in the country.

And this is a clear overkill. Instead of a dacha interior, it turned out to be a cave style, the abode of savages.

Armchairs wicker made of wicker give the dachas a special charm. Even their convenience does not play as big a role as the atmosphere they create.

Compare with the living room with upholstered furniture and glass tables.

In the dacha style there is a special section, which can be called the Professor's Dacha. Such dachas have a special charm and the spirit of the constant presence of the owners. Soft sofas and lots of pillows. There must be an office. Books, comfortable places to read and unusual decor in the form of figurines and vases with plants.

The most important thing for a dacha is that it exists outside the city.

Finishing the cottage: 4 budget ideas 2 times cheaper than usual

In our reality, large investments in the repair of summer cottages look quite unproductive. On the one hand, is it worth spending a lot on furnishing a home in which we spend several months at most? On the other hand, no one cancels the quite reasonable desire for a cozy place in their “country estate”.

If you are interested in simple materials and budget solutions that can ennoble and decorate your dacha, then this article is definitely for you. In it, I will analyze the main inexpensive ways of wall cladding and share several creative options for creating an original country interior.

Sheathing options

Today, the construction market offers many variations and a variety of materials that are ideal for finishing a country house. Among the rather impressive list, you can pick up something according to the preferences of the owner of the house and his financial capabilities.

clapboard

Lining is rightfully considered one of the most popular materials used for arranging summer cottages. The advantages of the panels speak for themselves. This:

  • their pleasant aesthetic appearance, allowing you to imitate a variety of textures;
  • affordable cost;
  • high thermal insulation performance;
  • ease of installation, which can be handled even without much experience in repair work;
  • environmental friendliness of the material.

The interior decoration of a country house with clapboard is a great idea for those who value comfort and coziness above all else. By experimenting with textures and shades, owners will have a chance to create an unforgettable interior without spending a fortune.

What should be considered during the installation process?

  1. A high-quality finish is possible only when using a wooden crate as a base.
  2. If you want to insulate the walls of the house, you can put mineral wool, glass wool or expanded polystyrene into the frame.
  3. Wooden slats for the base should be fixed either with nails or self-tapping screws.

I also want to note that lining can be a very inexpensive and practical answer to the question of how to decorate a change house for a country house.

Drywall

Drywall in popularity is not much inferior to lining. This is a versatile material used both for leveling walls or arranging interior spaces, and for decorating window slopes.

Drywall installation instructions are as follows:

  1. The first step is to create a frame of metal or wooden slats. They are fixed to the wall with screws or self-tapping screws at a distance of 40-50 cm from each other.

  1. After that, plasterboard plates are attached to the frame. The joints between the sheets are sealed with putty, then primed.

  1. After about 6-8 hours (that's how much it takes to dry the primer), you can proceed to pasting or painting the walls.

Plywood

That's really what is fully consistent with the well-known phrase "cheap and cheerful." If you are thinking about how to decorate the walls to make it as budget-friendly as possible, then plywood will come in handy. Such material allows the walls to “breathe”, it has good water resistance (so it can be used for lining the bathroom) and sound insulation.

In addition to such impressive advantages, I will attribute easy installation with my own hands, which can be handled by people who have never done repairs before. As a finishing touch, plywood can either be painted with bright paint or wallpapered over.

How to combine fantasy with lack of money?

Above, I examined the main finishing materials that accompany inexpensive repairs in the country. They will help to put the house in order, and they will solve the problem with light insulation. But what to do when the soul demands the continuation of the banquet and wants something beautiful in a small country house?

I will tell you how interesting it is to decorate a country house, while spending a minimum of money.

Idea 1. The whole world in colors

Considering the most popular options for decorating a room, it's hard not to mention the paint. This is one of the easiest ways to update the interior, which also allows you to experiment with colors and shades, is in great demand around the world. What do future painters-artists need to know?

We paint a tree or lining

  1. If you want to give a rich color to a wooden surface or lining, but leave them with an interesting texture, get a translucent paint.

  1. Exterior finishes should be decorated only with elastic paints that are not afraid of temperature changes (alkyd, oil). Inside the room can be painted with water-dispersed or water-based compositions. It makes sense to use more expensive silicate or silicone paints only in conditions of very high humidity.

In the photo - an example when the paint only emphasizes the richness of the texture

  1. Wall decoration inside before painting should be good, thanks to this, paint consumption will be significantly reduced.
  2. If after the winter there is a strong feeling of dampness in the house, do not rush to wield a brush or roller. To begin with, you should thoroughly dry the room (with a building hair dryer or a heat gun, for example).

  1. Definitely do not even try to paint over places where foci of rot and mold are firmly entrenched.. Believe me, after the repair work, the fungus will simply continue to destroy the coating. So first get rid of the mold, dry the surface, sand it with sandpaper, treat it with an antiseptic and only then paint it.

Save yourself a little time and do everything as required. Believe me, the result will be worth it.

We paint plaster or drywall

To give plastered or plasterboard walls a more sophisticated look, you can use acrylic water-based paint.

  • For better adhesion of paint to the surface, do not spare the primer. In extreme cases (but only in the most extreme), you can use a soapy solution instead, which needs to remove grease and dust from the walls. But still, try to get a primer - with it the result will be more effective and reliable.

  • If there are small cracks on the surface and there is no plaster, it is worth resorting to the help of paint with a latex filler. It can hide cracks up to 2 mm in size.
  • Do not be afraid of the most "impractical" color in the interior - white. Firstly, white paint is the cheapest, and secondly, any object will look bright and stylish on a light background. In addition, it will contribute to the visual increase in the room.

Idea 2. Wallpaper to be or not to be?

Wallpaper in the country is not only not uncommon, but the most popular type of decor. How to deal with them in the process of repair? I'll consider two possible options:

  1. When the old wallpaper began to peel off a little - do not rush to tear them off (unless you definitely decided to change the situation). If they peel off in whole canvases, then there is nothing to do, and you will have to remove everything and glue new ones. In the case when the canvas peels off only at the joints and in the corners, it is better to just carefully glue everything.

To keep the canvas stronger, add ordinary PVA glue to the wallpaper glue (in a ratio of 1 to 6).

  1. You have long decided to change the annoying pattern, only in some areas the wallpaper stuck as if tightly. Through a piece of wet fabric, run an iron over them, so the material will be easier to remove.

For those who are thinking about wallpapering in a country house, I will suggest a few tricks to save money:

  • look in the pantry for the wallpaper left over from the last repair (some trimmings will definitely remain), ask relatives and friends about the same. As a result, you will be able to collect material for the original patchwork decor. Paste the wall in the room with scraps with different patterns and enjoy the unusual result;

Thus, you can decorate only one wall, otherwise it will come out too colorful. For others, painting or wallpaper in neutral shades is fine.

  • most often in specialized stores you can find baskets with the so-called "sale" wallpaper left over from unsold collections of one or two rolls. The price of their much standard range, you just have to pick up and combine several models in color and texture;

  • interior decoration of a country house is primarily associated with the cheapest paper wallpaper. Well, for one or two seasons, they will fit the wave. After the allotted time, their appearance will be far from the original.

I would still advise you to resort to the help of two-layer paper wallpapers - the difference in price is not so noticeable, but they last longer.

To save money, do not choose wallpaper with a large pattern. Due to the fact that you have to adjust the details of the picture, there will be more waste. The ideal option is a small abstract pattern.

Idea 3. Not Italian, but still tiles

Tile is another worthy material for budget repairs. I'm not talking about Italian ceramics, there are many cheaper examples in stores. Again, you have at least 2 options:

  • buy the required number of tiles and decorate the kitchen or even the summer shower inside with it;
  • again, scrape through the barrel and decorate the selected surface in the patchwork style from the remains found.

Idea 4. Reminder from the past - wall newspaper

An even cheaper replacement for wallpaper can be (so you think) ordinary newspaper strips. Glue them like a regular paper coating, and open them with varnish on top. The main advantage of this option is that over time it will look even more interesting and atmospheric.

By the same principle, you can use old geographical maps or book pages (although I don’t approve of the second option).

Additional Options

If you think that I have finished listing all sorts of inexpensive ways to design a summer residence, then you are mistaken. I have a few more interesting ideas left in my head:

  1. Perforated convenience. A couple of perforated metal sheets are a great way to conveniently store pans and knives in the country. If at the same time they also close the bumps on the wall, so much the better.

  1. We don't throw away boxes. A few old drawers attached to the wall can create a fairly roomy and comfortable shelving unit. Both practical and useful for decoration!
  2. Nowhere without textiles. Another simple way to hide flaws in wall decoration is to cover it with a large panel of beautiful fabric, felt or cork roll (depending on what you find in the pantry).

I tried to find for you the most interesting and inexpensive options for arranging a summer house, even more ideas are contained in the video in this article.

Afterword

If you have a crisis of ideas, and you don’t know how to decorate the walls in the country, then I hope my article will be useful to you. I gave an example of the main finishing materials used to equip a country house, and suggested several ways to decorate it.

If suddenly you still have some questions for me, I will be glad to answer them in the comments. In the same place, share your impressions of the above finishes and express your opinion.

If you want to express gratitude, add a clarification or objection, ask the author something - add a comment or say thanks!

We continue to talk about the interior of small country houses. This article shows three small timber frame houses. They have everything you need for a full stay of two or three people.

Living area

Typically consists of:

  • A small folding sofa or retractable into a niche:
  • Comfortable chair:
  • TV:
  • Wall shelves.

Sleeping place

It is usually located on the "second floor" of the house, under the roof. Although there is a small distance to the ceiling (1.5 meta), this is quite enough for a good sleep and rest. A standard double mattress is placed on the base of the ceiling. The principle of a compartment car.

Kitchen

The kitchen consists of: lower cabinets (upper cabinets will visually take up space), one cabinet should be with a sink, the other for food storage, a refrigerator and a gas stove.

Also in these houses there is a toilet and a shower. A dry closet is used as a toilet. Water tanks are located outside the house, water is supplied by a pump or by gravity if the main tank is located above the level of the tap.

All garden utensils are buried in special cabinets attached to the house.

In front of the entrance there is a small terrace with two chairs.

Closet for garden tools, there is also a boiler for heating water

The interior of a country house - option two

This house has more modern architectural forms. From the inside it is sheathed with a wide clapboard, painted white. As you know, white color visually expands the space. Horizontally located lining also expands the room. In this house, as in the previous one, there is everything you need: a kitchen area, a relaxation area, a bedroom on the mezzanine, a dry closet.

Third house. The principle of building the interior is the same as in previous houses. Turquoise color is present not only on the facade of the house but also in the interior. The house was placed on a concrete pad, this eliminates the dirt near the house.

The interior of a small country house is made in brown and beige colors.

Option 4 - Interior of a country house inside

The cabin has a full size bathroom with shower and washing machine. Corner kitchen with full fridge, sink and electric stove. In the living area there is a table over which a 39 inch TV was hung on the opposite side, a small sofa was placed. Next to the bathroom was a bedroom. And the best thing about this house is that it has a small terrace covered with a mosquito net.
