hammer;

For work, you will need boards 40 cm long and about 10-15 cm wide. The thickness in this case is arbitrary, at your discretion, but such that it is convenient to connect the elements butt-to-butt.

The author used boards 10 cm wide for the manufacture of those parts in which recesses for fishing rods are arranged. In total, there were three such recesses-slots, since it is necessary to leave at least 13 cm of space between them to accommodate the handle rod and coils. The diameter of each slot is 5 cm.

Mark the center of each slot on the board and mark up as shown in the photo. After that, securely clamp the board in a vise and make round holes with a hole saw.

Lightly sand the board with sanding paper (first coarse, then fine) and set aside for now.

Mark on wider boards (14 cm each) the central axis and draw a line with a pencil. It is necessary to make two holes on it with an electric drill for fastening blanks with slots at 90 degrees.

Apply glue to the edge of the workpiece and press it against the wide board with clamps. Fasten the two parts together with screws, using a screwdriver or using a screwdriver.
