In a modernized version of the tent "LOTOS Cube Professional M"the following changes and additions have been made:

The frame arc folding mechanism (hub) is made of aluminum alloy. The cast aluminum "hub", with high rigidity, has a sufficiently high fragility, which is fraught with breakdowns of this element under increased loads. If the “hub” structure is made thicker, this will not lead to a noticeable improvement in strength (voids are formed in thick-walled cast elements), but will only increase the dimensions and weight of the product.
In order to maximize the strength of this "hub", it was decided to combine the material of manufacture. The upper part of the hub, which carries the maximum load, is reinforced with a 3.0 mm steel plate, this combination creates the maximum effect of rigidity and strength.
Reinforced "Hub" withstands very high mechanical and thermal loads and becomes one of the strongest, most reliable and durable elements in the tent.

How to upgrade the first version of the LOTOS Cube Professional tent? (produced until 02.2015)


A feature of all the improvements is the full compatibility of the updated elements with the first model of 2014. This allows users who bought the first version to replace the necessary units, while the cost of all replaced elements will be no more than the difference in cost between the upgraded LOTOS Cube Professional M and the first basic version 2014.


In order to replace the “12 mm tube with spring” element with a new “14 mm tube with spring” you need to:

  • Remove the old tube from the tarpaulin. To do this, you first need to pull the rod out of the tube as shown in the video. Then disconnect the tube from the awning by drilling or cutting (with pliers) the rivet holding the tube in the awning sleeve.

  • Attach a new tube to the awning sleeve using a wire clip attached to the tube. In this case, the tube must be inserted into the sleeve of the awning as far as it will go.

In order to strengthen the “hubs”, it is enough to fix the plate as shown in the picture №3.
When installing the plate on the “hub”, it is necessary to press it very tightly against the surface of the “hub” with the fixing nut. There should be no gap between the plate and the "hub". To securely lock the nut, it is recommended to use a second locknut.

Suitable for pipes with an outer diameter of 10 to 60 mm. There are one-way and two-way spring-loaded pushbuttons.

Spring-loaded push-buttons latches can be made, depending on the environment of their further use, either from structural spring-spring steel with a nickel galvanized coating, or from stainless steel. At the same time, stainless steel spring buttons must be used in products that will come into contact with sea water - oars, yacht masts, etc. In all other cases, it is recommended to use spring steel pushbuttons.

The spring is inserted into a pipe with a smaller diameter, so that the button looks out of the hole.Further, a pipe with a large diameter is put on a pipe of a smaller diameter. Press the spring button and heat, aligning the holes of both pipes.
