Making a door stop with your own hands. Floor and wall door stops Make your own door stop

Currently, a door opening limiter is in demand. Such popularity is due to their functional purpose; such products provide reliable protection of the wall surface from impacts from the door during a strong opening. Therefore, in order not to see crumbling plaster on the floor or damaged expensive wall decoration, be sure to leave a wall or floor stop.

In addition, this door accessory will help you avoid troubles with your neighbors due to the loud knock of the door against the wall. There are several types of such devices: wall and floor stops. These products differ from each other in the material used in production, construction and design.

Functional purpose

The door locking device is designed to perform protective functions:

  • Limits the movement of the sash during opening.
  • Performs protective functions for entrance and interior structures, pieces of furniture located next to the door.
  • Used as decor in various interiors.

Such devices are available on the market in a wide range and price range. However, the simplicity of the design of the stops allows them to be made from scrap materials. There are a lot of ways to make such products, so everyone can make a door stop with their own hands. But which option to choose, and what materials to make from, then everything depends only on your imagination. If you are interested in how to properly make a floor door stop with your own hands, then you should consider interesting solutions, we will talk about them below.

Soft limiter for interior structures

Making such a product at home is not difficult. The principle of manufacturing a soft stopper is based on the formation of a tilde (small pupa) and a soft filler. So, in order to make such a limiter for an interior door ourselves, we will need small pebbles or sand. These components are necessary for the door stop to gain sufficient weight. Considering that the door stopper is located on the handle on the side of the door where it opens, it is therefore necessary to provide a loop on the future stopper device.

Original door stop

As for the design and color scheme of the tilde, it’s a matter of taste, you can find ready-made patterns, you can find them in magazines or open the Internet and look there, if you don’t like the ready-made ideas, draw your own version. To make such a unique stopper, you will need to prepare the following materials:

  • Textile.
  • Pins.
  • Soft filler: padding polyester or other material.
  • Threads that match the color of the selected fabric.

But now we have come close to the question: how to make such a product? The first thing to pay attention to is the volume of the tilde; it should be such as to soften the impact of the opening door. Each detail must be cut out in duplicate. Next, the cut parts are stitched together, and it is necessary to provide an area that should not be sewn up; we will push the filler into it. Next, turn out the elements of the future limiter, fill them with padding polyester, and then sew the fragments together. That's all, the do-it-yourself stopper is ready to perform direct functions. Now all that remains is to install the door stop and enjoy your creation.

This limiter is sure to make everyone smile

Floor limiter

You can also make a door leaf floor clamp yourself from scrap materials. The design of such a stopper is primitive, so you will not need many tools to make it. Below we will look at several options for creating such a useful thing.

  • Wooden limiter. It is necessary to prepare a wooden block, it is good if it is round in cross-section. The size of the bar should be small. Next, measure the required distance. You can make a small door stopper in height, from four to six millimeters, or you can make a larger stopper, up to fifteen centimeters. It all depends on how you want the clamp installed.

If pure wood is chosen for manufacturing, in this case it is better to immediately cover it with stain of the shade you need and then apply varnish on top. But before this action, you must definitely sand the surface of the bar. Next, take a pin, you can use a double screw, and tighten it on the other side from the end.

Now you need to choose the place where the limiter will be installed. In this place you need to drill a hole on the floor, then insert a dowel into it, drive a wooden stop into it and screw it until it stops. Now you can personally see that making and installing door stops yourself is easy and quick.

creative door stopper

The limiter is metal. Such a stopper is created in almost the same way as a wooden one, only here there are nuances. First you need to prepare a metal tube and cut a piece of the required size from it. For the top of the door stopper, you can use a plug that is made of plastic. On the other hand, you will need to install the plate and secure it with screws. Installation is carried out in the following way: on the floor, select the location where the clamp will be located, then drill holes for installing the plate and secure with screws.

Attention! To prevent the edges of the door leaf from hitting the installed stopper, put rubber bands on it.

Fun latches for interior doors

Self-installation

We have learned two ways to make stop devices, and now let’s talk about how to install an entrance door stop yourself. For entrance structures in country houses, a wall stopper is often chosen. The fact is that in houses people often leave the front door open to ventilate the premises. And to prevent the wind and draft from flapping the doors in different directions, people manage to prop them up with various objects; many even put a shovel or rake against the door to create a stop for the door leaf. However, with the advent of door stoppers, many reconsidered the use of such supports and began to buy door stoppers. Some people prefer not to spend money on such devices and make them themselves.

To secure the corner of the sash, you can take two narrow strips of the same length. Strips can be cut from plywood. Then they are combined with each other with a metal corner; this design will not allow the door leaf to slam shut. The finished structure is placed on the door and door frame by screwing in self-tapping screws and metal corners.

Floor metal limiter

Such a locking element for opening the sash functions according to the following principle: when the sash is fully opened, the installed locking device begins to bend in the other direction. When the sash begins to close due to the wind, the stopper should fold in the other direction, but the metal corner located on the bend will not allow this to happen. In the case when you need to close the sash, then the stopper can be bent by hand and the door closed.

No matter how beautiful the door may be, it acquires its reliability and functionality only after attaching the door hardware: awnings, lock, peephole, etc. There are no unimportant components here. The absence of at least one structural element (for example, if there is no door stop) weakens the practicality and reliability of the unit.

Experts often call door stops limiters. However, most buyers of interior door systems do not even suspect that such latches exist.

Door stops are mainly used to limit the movement of the door leaf. Such latches prevent the door from opening or, conversely, closing on its own.

This device is especially valuable when there are little inquisitive children at home who strive to explore everything everywhere. The limiters will fix the position of the door, so the door will not pinch the fingers of a curious baby.

In addition, experts strongly recommend using restraints in residential areas where people with disabilities are often present. And in addition, these restraints will become valuable assistants for pet owners: the pets’ paws, tails and other body parts will be safe and sound.

  • to rationally plan free space;
  • to protect the canvas and the adjacent wall from mechanical damage;
  • to fix the sash in a certain position, for example, when you need to carry some large items through the doorway;
  • The limiter serves as an additional means of burglary.

By the way, door stops can also serve a decorative function. Modern manufacturers produce stops in a unique and original design, so such stops can become a valuable addition to the interior.

Fasteners can be used in apartments and private houses, in office premises, shopping centers and other public places. In fact, limiters can be used almost anywhere.

Classification of door stops

All locking elements can be divided into the following groups:

  • by location (wall, floor and over-door);
  • taking into account the principle of operation (simple devices, mechanical devices, as well as magnetic limiters).

Moreover, door stops vary in material, size and design.

Having understood the features of each such retainer, it is easier for the buyer to make the right choice. And besides, this information is very important for those who will install the stops themselves.

Floor fittings

As the name of this clamp suggests, it is installed on the floor. Such stops differ in their functional purpose. Some of them are used to hold the canvas in a certain position. Other elements control the degree of door opening.

With the right choice of such fittings, they completely merge with the floor covering, so they do not spoil the appearance of the door structure and do not distract from the main design concept of the room. Essentially, floor clamps are a one-stop solution. However, they have a “contraindication”.

Experts do not recommend placing such stops on laminate floors. Fixing this limiter on the laminate deprives the floor covering of the ability to respond to changes occurring in the room: a jump in air humidity, temperature fluctuations, etc. Installing these fittings on laminate flooring may cause the flooring to swell and crack.

All floor clamps can be divided into the following groups:

  • stationary devices;
  • mobile devices.

Representatives of the first group provide for installation in a specific location. These, for example, can be simple leaf clamps, equipped with a soft plate that absorbs shock and prevents the canvas from opening more than it should.

In addition, there is a magnetic door stop. In this case, the locking element is installed on the floor, and a metal plate is mounted on the lower part of the sash. When the door is opened, the metal plate is magnetized to the stopper, due to which the leaf is fixed in a certain position.

Mobile clamps can have the most bizarre shapes. For example, figurines, soft toys, wedges with a sliding base, etc. Such stoppers can be moved to another location if desired. And besides, mobile clamps are easy to make with your own hands.

Wall stops

The wall door stop consists of two elements: one part is attached to the wall, and the second element is installed on the door leaf. Such accessories vary in their operating principle.

There are latches that control the opening of the sash (they can be simple or magnetic), as well as slamming limiters.

The latter, as a rule, are attached to the platband located above the doorway, which eliminates the need to drill the surface of the door. And besides, such limiters have two positions: passive and active (in this case they are at an angle of 90 degrees).

Over-door clamps

All door stops can be classified into one of these groups:

  1. C-shaped products made of soft plastic, rubber or other similar material.
  2. Stops, which are a metal structure that are used to support the blade in the required position.

Material of manufacture

The cost of the stops largely depends on the material used in their production, as well as the mechanism that ensures the fixation of the canvas.

Most often, floor, wall and door stops are made of steel, aluminum, plastic and wood. However, there are also soft restraints: they are made of rubber or even fabric.

In addition, it is important to choose the right color for the retainer: it should either match the door hardware or the same shade as the walls (flooring).

When choosing a stop, you should take into account the conditions in which this stop will be used. For example, if a lock is selected for a door that is installed at the entrance to a children's room, it is better to give preference to fittings made of soft material.

If the stop will restrict the movement of a heavy interior door, for example, made of solid oak, it is better to choose metal stops. But magnetic fasteners are a justified choice when you need to securely fix the canvas in the open position.

Installation features

Installing a door stop with your own hands will go without surprises if, before starting installation work, the craftsman carefully studies the accompanying instructions included with the product.

Chain as a door travel stop.

In general, installation of the clamp can be represented by the following steps:

  1. The tools necessary to perform the work are prepared.
  2. The location of the stop is determined. To do this, you need to open the door and fix the door leaf in such a position that the distance between the door and the wall is at least 5 cm. And also, when determining the distance from the wall to the door leaf, you need to take into account the size of the handle installed on the door leaf.
  3. Perform markings (for this you will need a construction pencil).
  4. Drill holes for fasteners.
  5. Restrictors are attached.

If a brass fastener is installed, so that the product does not lose its beautiful appearance, it should be coated with a layer of varnish.

As a rule, installing a door stop with your own hands does not take much time: even a novice home craftsman can complete this operation in less than an hour.

There are quite a lot of options for making door stops with your own hands. Each of them is worthy of attention, as it allows you to arrange a stopper for the canvas with minimal expenditure of money and personal effort. Which method to choose depends on personal preference. It is worth considering the most popular options.

You can easily make a door stop yourself

Functions and types of limiters

Installing a limiter is a necessary measure if the canvas can touch furniture when swinging. This is especially true if there is glass or mirrors next to the passage. In this case, use floor or door stoppers or objects that can replace them.

The stopper performs the following functions:

  • limiting the travel of the blade when plowing;
  • protection of the door and nearby objects from damage;
  • decorative addition to the interior.

With the help of a limiter you can protect the door and nearby objects

You can make such a device yourself, despite the fact that similar products are sold in many furniture and construction stores. There are many options for execution, but it is worth noting the most successful of them.

Soft option

The most interesting design is the soft limiter. Making such a product for a door with your own hands is not difficult. The principle of its manufacture is based on creating a tilde with synthetic filling.

In order for such a stopper to have sufficient mass, prepare sand, small pebbles or some similar materials in advance.

The soft stop is hung on the handle on the side of the door into which it swings open. To do this, you need to provide a special loop.

The design and coloring of a unique doll is a personal matter for everyone. You can find ready-made patterns or draw your own version yourself.

The soft limiter additionally serves as interior decoration

To sew such a stopper you will need fabric, threads, pins and padding polyester or holofiber for filling. The volume of the doll should be sufficient to soften the blow. All details are cut out in duplicate. They are folded face to face and stitched together, leaving a small area unstitched for filling. Each element is turned inside out, stuffed with filling and sewn up with a hidden seam. Then you need to sew all the fragments together.

Furniture limiter

The easiest option is to take a ready-made stopper. Such products can be found among furniture fittings. You can even use a stopper from an old cabinet.

Installing a furniture door stop yourself is done using a screwdriver and self-tapping screws. One part of the product is fixed on the box, and the second on the canvas itself. In this case, the length of the rod can be adjusted, which allows you to choose the degree of restriction of door movement.

The easiest option is to use a ready-made furniture limiter

Floor stopper

The best option for most rooms is a stationary floor door stopper. You can also make it yourself. At its core, this design is very simple, so you will need a minimal set of tools. Let's consider two options:

  1. Wood. Take a small block, preferably round in cross-section. Measure the required distance. You can make a stopper with a height of 3-5 cm, or you can increase it to 10 cm. If you are using pure wood, then you need to immediately treat it with stain of the desired shade and open it with varnish. Please note that the entire surface of the part must be thoroughly sanded. Then take a double screw or pin and screw it in from the back end. For installation, you need to select a place on the floor, drill a hole, insert a dowel and drive the stopper there, gradually tightening it to the very end.
  2. Metal. The principle of creating such a limiter is the same as for a wooden model, but there are some subtleties here. First you need to cut the tube to the desired size. An excellent option is stainless steel. For the top of the limiter, take a plastic plug. Secure the plate on the reverse side using screws. The installation principle is as follows: select a place on the floor, drill holes for the plate and secure it with screws.

Types of floor stopper for doors

To prevent the edges of the door leaf from hitting the stopper, additionally secure rubber bands to it. For example, you can take plumbing volumetric gaskets.

A door stopper is an excellent option for protecting the door leaf itself and nearby objects from damage. In addition, it can become a stylish addition to the interior, especially if you do everything yourself, taking into account your personal wishes.

Let's make a cute door stop with our own hands in the shape of an original cat. Such a cute cat will decorate any interior, especially a country one, and will be able to give a wonderful mood and create a cozy atmosphere in the house.

Before work, you need to prepare the following materials in advance:

  1. acrylic paints for painting a cat, choose colors as desired. In this case, the colors used are: orange, pale pink, hot pink
  2. interlining
  3. white fabric, it is recommended to sew from cotton, such as calico
  4. To fill the seal you will need synthetic padding polyester, fine sand, if there is no sand, then any grain
  5. tassels
  6. pencil
  7. scissors
  8. funnel
  9. checkered ribbons for decoration, plain, striped and a wreath of dried flowers
  10. sewing machine

When all materials are prepared, you can begin to work. First we need to enlarge the parts diagram. You can make a holder of any size; today we are making a cat with a height of 47 cm.

We transfer the diagram onto a sheet of paper, cut it out and apply it to the fabric, trace it with a pencil and cut it out. As a result, we should have the following parts: the tail - 2 parts, the bottom - 1 part (this will be a circle with a diameter of 12 cm), and the body - 2 parts.

Now exactly the same parts need to be cut out of non-woven fabric. We iron all the parts made of fabric and non-woven fabric together. After that, we sew everything together, folding it right side inward. We leave the bottom edge unstitched, and also leave a little unstitched on one side (about 15 cm).

We apply the bottom of the holder with the front side to the front side of the body. We cut off the excess fabric of the allowances, make small cuts on the allowances, so the limiter will look neater. We turn the body inside out and fill it with padding polyester, and also stuff the head. Now we put the cat on the floor, then we place it in a funnel and fill the side hole with sand. The hole can be sewn tightly.

Let's start with the cat's tail; to do this, we fold the two parts together with the front sides facing inward and sew them together, leaving a small hole at the bottom. We make cuts on the seam allowances in the rounded places, turn the tail inside out and then stuff it with padding polyester or cotton wool. The tail now needs to be sewn to the body of the cat. Now the door stopper is ready, however, that's not all. Our cat needs to be decorated; we will paint it with acrylic paints, then let it dry. We draw the cat’s face; the expression can be anything, as well as the color. When the cat dries, take it out into the air and cover it with a spray can of varnish, everything should dry and ventilate. We tie ribbons around the cat's neck and decorate it with a wreath of dried flowers. Now we have a wonderful and original DIY cat.

Probably every person has encountered a problem when the door leaf slams loudly. In addition, when the door is opened from impacts against the wall, chips remain on it, which also do not decorate the room. To get rid of such problems once and for all, just buy and install a door stop. First you need to understand the existing offer, choose the type of limiter that is best suited in a particular case, and any home craftsman can install it with his own hands.

What are door stops and locks used for?

If you often hear a knocking sound in your home when you open a door, a door stop will help solve this problem once and for all. It is a device that protects doors, walls and nearby objects from chips and damage. This is a small detail, but it helps to significantly increase the service life of the door leaf, as well as protect the walls from damage when the door is opened carelessly. By installing such a device, you will be spared the need to frequently change the finish of the wall located next to the entrance.

Without installing a door stop, opening the door may damage the wall or nearby furniture

The door limiter allows you to set the maximum opening width of the door leaf or reduce its speed. Some models securely fix the door in a given position, making it impossible for it to open or close on its own. There is a fairly wide selection of such devices, which differ from each other both in shape and design, and in appearance.

Types of door stops

Door stops vary:

  • according to the installation location - they can be floor, wall or over-the-door;
  • According to the operating principle, there are conventional, magnetic, vacuum and mechanical stops.

Since interior and entrance doors have different sizes and weights, different limiters are used for them. An ordinary person, faced with the problem of choosing such a device, may be confused by the available choice. To prevent this from happening, you need to be familiar with the terms used:

  • stop - a device that limits the opening angle of the blade, and sometimes fixes it when it reaches the end point;

    The stop allows you to fix the blade in the desired position

  • bumper - prevents the leaf from hitting a wall, furniture or other object located in the path of opening the door;

    The bumper prevents the door leaf from hitting the wall

  • stopper - designed to fix the door in a certain position;

    The stopper allows you to fix the door in the required position

  • pad - prevents the door from slamming randomly;

    The cover prevents the door from closing randomly

  • latch - secures the blade in the closed position. Some experts attribute such a device to locks, others to stops;

    Latch secures doors in closed position

  • closer - in addition to ensuring smooth closing of the door leaf, it also limits the angle of its opening.

    The closer limits the opening angle of the door leaf and ensures its smooth closing

Floor models

Floor door stops are installed directly on the floor covering and, according to the type of their action, are divided into two types:

  • holding the door leaf in a given position;
  • controlling the degree of door opening.

According to the installation method, such limiters are divided into:

  1. Mobile or portable. In specialized stores, such stops are presented in a wide range and can have a wide variety of designs: in the form of letters, toys, wedges, etc. Models that fit on the bottom edge of the door leaf have become widespread. Such stops have an anti-slip coating, rest on both sides of the door and prevent it from moving in either direction.

    Mobile floor limiter can have a wide variety of shapes

  2. Stationary. Such models are mounted on the floor in a specific place and are intended for permanent use. They can be of several types:

When choosing a place to install a floor limiter, you must take into account the fact that it should not interfere with free movement, otherwise it is easy to injure your leg by hitting the fastener rigidly screwed to the floor.

Wall models

In those rooms where it is not possible or undesirable to fix the door stop to the floor (expensive parquet, natural marble floor or other unique coating), wall-mounted models are an excellent solution. Such devices are a little more expensive than floor-mounted ones and come in several types:

  • in the form of a rod - they are a stop with a mounting platform and a rubber shock absorber mounted on a rod, the length of which can vary from 5 to 15 cm. Before purchasing a wall-mounted model, you need to decide on which wall you will mount it. There is no difference for brick, but if it is made of plasterboard, then the size of the fastening part must be at least 10x10 cm. This will ensure reliable fastening of the stop, and the wall will not break due to an impact;

    A conventional wall stop is a stop with a mounting platform

  • with a magnetic fastener - they differ from the floor-mounted version only in the installation location;
  • overlays. If you think that a wall shock absorber with a rod does not look very nice, you can install a cover plate under the handle. It is located on the wall opposite the door handle and is usually attached with double-sided tape, so there is no need to drill into the wall;

    To limit the opening of the door, a handle under the handle is often mounted on the wall.

  • with door position fixation. In this case, the stopper is attached to the wall, and the hook is attached to the door. When the door is opened, the hook rises and the leaf is securely fixed in the open position. To close the door, such a latch must be unlocked manually.

    After opening the door, the hook securely fixes it in the open position

Door fittings

Over-door stops are installed directly on the door leaf, so the walls and floor are not damaged. Fastening is done with glue or self-tapping screws.

  1. The simplest is the tape stop. It is a durable tape, at the ends of which there are places for fixing it to the jamb and the canvas. In order for the tape stop to serve for a long time, it is necessary to purchase models that have high strength and elasticity.

    The tape stop has special pads for attaching to the canvas and the jamb

  2. For an entrance door, a folding stop would be an excellent option. During installation, the angle of support relative to the floor must be observed. The best option is when it is 45 o; at a smaller angle, the mechanism may break.

    The folding stop is activated by pressing the foot, and in the retracted position it securely snaps onto the clip

  3. The retractable stop is made with a rod and a brake block. Its installation is carried out in a vertical position. You can also activate such a device with your foot, and to lift it, you will need to manually bend the side plate.

    You must lift the retractable stop by hand

    A sliding door stopper allows you to fix the canvas at different points, their number depends on the number of cutouts in the groove of the device. The rod is fixed to the canvas, and the device itself is installed on the door jamb. Since this stopper is installed in the upper part of the door leaf, it does not interfere with the operation of the door.

    A sliding stop allows the blade to be fixed at several points

  4. Soft pads. Protects the door from accidental slamming. Their use allows you to protect children's hands from being pinched by doors. To install such devices, simply put them on the door leaf.

    Soft pads are installed on the door leaf and protect your hands from accidentally getting into the space between the door and the jamb

Anti-vandal stops

There are models of limiters that allow you to protect your home from illegal entry. The simplest options can simply make a loud sound when it comes into contact with the door leaf. More expensive models send an alarm signal to the security console or to a mobile phone.

Anti-vandal limiter allows you to protect your home from thieves

This type of limiter can be either floor-mounted or over-the-door. Floor models are available in the form of polymer wedges or other suitable shapes. Door stops are placed on the door leaf and are also made of soft materials. Free-standing stops do not require locking to install, so they can be used anywhere, anytime.

Free-standing stops do not require fastening and can fix the door in any position

Magnetic or vacuum limiters

The peculiarity of the magnetic stop is that it not only prevents the door from swinging open to an angle greater than the specified one, but also ensures its fixation in the open position. A metal plate is installed on the canvas, and a magnet is placed on the limiter itself. To fix doors of different weights, you need to choose a magnet of the appropriate power.

Instead of a magnet, a vacuum clamp can be used on such limiters. In this case, a rubber suction cup is installed on the door, which follows the shape of the stopper. When opening the door, the suction cup is securely connected to the stopper and ensures that the door leaf is held open.

Vacuum stop holds the door open using a suction cup

Ball retainers

Ball devices are designed to fix the door in a closed position and prevent it from opening spontaneously. These are small devices, one part of which is mounted in the door leaf, and the second - on the door jamb. These models are usually used on interior doors that do not require long-term locking. Thanks to the presence of an internal spring, the ball securely fixes the doors, and after pressing the leaf, even a child can open it.

The ball lock reliably holds the door closed, and opening it if necessary is not difficult

Installing door limiters

Most often, floor or wall door stops are used, so let's look at the installation process using them as an example. To complete the work you will need:

Installation of floor limiter

Consider the installation of a conventional metal floor door stop. It can have different shapes, for example, in the form of a pin or a hemisphere, as well as different heights.

Work on installing the floor limiter is carried out in the following sequence:

  1. Preparing tools and inspecting the limiter equipment. Usually the kit includes a screw and dowel for fixing the stop, but if they are not there, you need to prepare the fasteners separately.

    Checking the complete set of the door stop

  2. Site selection and marking. To correctly select the installation location, you need to open the door leaf so that it does not reach the wall or furniture by 3–5 cm. Don't forget to consider the size of the door handle. The location for the stop is chosen approximately in the center of the door. Mark the installation location and check again that everything is done correctly.
  3. Creating a hole. Using a drill, make a hole in the floor and insert a dowel into it. For concrete pavement, you need to use a hammer drill.

    A hole is made in the floor into which a plastic dowel is inserted.

  4. Installation of the limiter. Install the door stop and secure it with one or more self-tapping screws. If the limiter has the shape of a hemisphere, it must be rotated so that the blade is in close contact with the rubber pad.

    Using a self-tapping screw, fix the limiter

To ensure that the brass floor stop retains its shine, it is recommended to periodically open it with varnish.

Installation of wall limiter

If you want the limiter not to interfere with free movement around the room, you can install it on the wall. Installation of wall-mounted models is carried out in the same sequence as floor-mounted options. The only difference will be that such a device is mounted on the wall, and not on the floor.

Repair of door opening limiters

The peculiarity of door locks is that they have a simple design, so there is practically nothing for them to fail.

The main damage to door stops will depend on the type of device:

  • failure of the rubber lining. If the rubber pad of a floor or wall limiter model is damaged, it must be replaced;
  • weakening of the suction cup. If the suction cup in the vacuum limiter is damaged, it will not provide reliable fixation of the blade and must be replaced;
  • Damage to the stop on over-the-door models can be eliminated by replacing such a device;
  • weakening of the spring in the ball limiter leads to the fact that it cannot perform its functions. This device needs to be replaced.
