Decorative plaster map of the world - all about the material and technology of application. Decorative plaster "world map Type of application Fur coat

Decorative plaster "world map" is a kind of texture that appears on the surface of the wall. The work uses a number of components and a lime mixture. To obtain the effect of the map, it is necessary to apply structural decorative plaster.

About the features of this type of plaster, application technology and tools that will be needed in the work, read below..

Decorative plaster world map - these are images of continents, seas, islands and oceans that appear on the wall in the process of work. When applied, it is similar to the effect of a stone. Only in our case, the emphasis is not on the texture, but on the drawing. This type of decorative plaster impresses with the softness of the transition of colors, which can be independently controlled and modified. The surface can be matte, glossy or pearlescent. In a word, this is a type of travert that is becoming more popular.

Preparation of tools and surface

There are a number of manufacturers specializing in the production of the coating of the same name, thanks to which you can get the effect of a world map. There are two ways:

  1. Buy material imitating natural stone travertine. With it, you can get the desired pattern.
  2. The most desirable option is the purchase of ingredients, in the name of which there is the phrase "world map".

Interestingly, the technology for applying layers is practically the same. Here, the emphasis should be on other things: preparing a quality tool for work:

  1. You should have a spatula made of stainless steel on hand.
  2. Don't forget the Venetian trowel or alloy steel trowel.
  3. In addition, you will need a roller with a fine pile.
  4. Foam roller and/or sponge.
  5. Brush.

When the working tool is ready, you can begin the preparatory process.

The wall must be smooth and even. Otherwise, you will not achieve the desired result. Works are carried out on a clean and already puttied surface.

It is important to use a stainless steel tool because the working composition is a snow-white solution. If you take another tool, there is a high probability of rust on it.

There should be no protruding tubercles of metal on the wall, as you can end up with “rusty islands”.

The work surface must be primed twice. In the first case, we work with a pile roller.

note,

that the deep penetration primer dries for 12 hours.

If you are using a quality travertine effect product, you can skip the first coat of primer.

Experts recommend using a primer with quartz sand for good adhesion. At the same time, try to choose a material with a fine fraction, which is applied to the wall with a foam roller. After all, it is important that the grains of sand lie evenly over the entire wall. Having thus prepared the surface, you can begin to apply the first layer.

Applying the first layer

Plastering the map of the world involves several stages of surface treatment and preliminary tinting. The first layer is applied to the thickness of the fraction, which in it is a working layer of 1.52 mm. The plaster is taken from the bucket with a spatula, then transferred to the trowel. In this case, it is important to cover the entire edge of the working tool with a solution. After that, the mixture is evenly rubbed on the wall. At this stage of wall processing, it is not necessary to smooth the mortar strongly. Depending on the material chosen, you can walk on wet plaster with a fine-naped roller. As a result of such actions, the plaster is covered with a fur coat. This enhances the decorative effect of the first layer of wall surface coating. Although most often work with a roller will not be needed due to the granularity of the solution.

A few words about material consumption

For work, about 1.60-1.8 kg is needed per 1 m 2. Therefore, 25 kg of the mixture should be enough for 15-15 m2. If the working surface is 1 or 2 m2 larger, you should not buy another package of the mixture. It is enough to dilute a bucket of 25 kg with water. Pay attention to the manufacturer's recommendations when using water.

Applying the second layer and creating a world map

There are a number of techniques by which you can apply a second layer. Today we will focus on one of the options in which you can create an expressive second layer.

The working mixture is applied in local islands. We work with a trowel, gaining a small amount of solution, and apply it to the work surface. We immediately grout, creating small islands.

On a note!

Try not to make the edges even. This will give the drawing expressiveness, as a result you will get a high-quality drawing. Keep the trowel clean at all times. Do not apply too much material at once.

After creating the texture of the world map, you should apply gloss, wipe the surface with a trowel. Work should be on a dry surface, applying little effort to the tool.

It is not for nothing that at the beginning of the material (section tools) we paid attention to the fact that it is better to take a trowel made of steel. It will not blacken the coating. A number of experts recommend glossing 2 times, maintaining a five-minute interval.

Finishing

After applying two working layers, it's time for finishing. It's time to give the wall art a certain color. Metallized paint is suitable for finishing. Often used wax or varnish finish. Wax can be applied with an ordinary slightly dampened sponge. You need to collect wax on a sponge and rub it over the entire surface. To obtain an unusual overflow, the wax is rubbed in different directions in a circular motion. After applying the wax, the work can be considered complete. Similar actions and work procedures are provided with varnish. Some paint the finished surface using a foam roller for this. It is believed that the drawing in this case is more expressive.

DIY manufacturing

Decorative plaster map of the world is served in stores ready-made. It can be special containers, or a dry mix (powder). It must be diluted, adhering to the manufacturer's recommendations. Packing hints.

But the working material can be made independently. If everything is done consistently and efficiently, then the coating will last a long time.

In the manufacture of plaster, various components can be used. The addition of lime will allow you to get a clean surface, but a large amount of it can lead to cracking of decorative plaster. The addition of gypsum gives strength, and the use of cement guarantees work in rooms with high humidity.

Finally

The decorative plaster in question is used in different rooms. It can be combined with other materials, including paint, tiles, or wallpaper. This allows you to decorate any room to your taste and give the room a uniqueness..

Decorative plaster world map is a special texture, which is obtained by using certain lime mixtures. To achieve this effect, structural decorative plaster will be required, after work, with which a coating will be obtained, which resembles islands and continents on a globe. Looking at the finished coating, you will surely have an association with a world map.

Selection of products and working tools

There are several manufacturers producing the coating of the same name, thanks to which the effect of a world map is created. There are two ways to go about finding the right solution. You should look for products that have a "map of the world" in their name. In this case, you will be sure that decorative plaster is specifically designed to create the effect of the same name. In the second case, you need to purchase a material that imitates natural travertine stone. With its help, a "map of the world" is also created. The technology of work in both cases is the same and practically does not differ in any way.

Decorative plaster is applied to the world map using certain tools:

  • stainless steel spatula,
  • Venetian trowel or alloy steel trowel,
  • small pile roller
  • foam roller,
  • sponge.

Surface preparation for the main work

The work surface must be flat and smooth. Only in this case you will be able to get a beautiful effect of the world map, or as it is also called "islands". Work is carried out on a clean and puttied surface. The solution is snow-white, so the work is performed only with stainless steel tools. Otherwise, rust may appear on the coating. For the same reason, there should be no protruding metal on the wall, otherwise the result will be “rusty islands”.

The surface should be primed twice. The first layer is applied with a pile roller. Deep penetration primer dries for 12 hours. If the decorative plaster is a map of the world with the effect of travertine, then the first layer is not necessary. For good adhesion, a primer with fine-grained quartz sand is used. It should be applied with a foam roller so that the sand lays down as evenly as possible.

Applying the first layer - all the nuances

Works are carried out with a snow-white solution, which does not require preliminary tinting. The first layer of structural decorative plaster is applied to the thickness of the fraction that is present in it. The layer thickness is usually 1.5-2 mm. Since the material is sold in buckets, we collect it from there during work. However, it is inconvenient to do this with a trowel, so the decorative plaster is picked up with a spatula, and then transferred to the trowel, so many times that the solution covers the entire edge of the working tool. Next, rub it with a trowel on the wall. Evenly and without joints. Strongly smooth the solution is not required.

The resulting first layer does not require smoothing. Depending on the material used, it may be necessary to walk over the wet plaster with a fine pile roller. This is done so that the decorative plaster of the world map is covered with a fur coat. This enhances the decorative effect of the first coating. However, often the granular structure of the solution is quite sufficient, and it is not required to work with a roller.

Material consumption is 1.6-1.8 kg per 1 sq.m. (on both layers). In other words, a 25kg package should be enough for 14-15 square meters of wall. If you have an area of 1-2 sq.m. more, then you don’t need to buy another solution for nothing, because a 25 kg bucket can be diluted with water (the manufacturer indicates the permissible limits). In this case, there will be a little more decorative plaster.

After the first coat has dried, it may need to be sanded. It is not necessary to make the surface smooth, because the grain structure of the material should be visible. Such a procedure is often required if a fur coat was created with a roller. In this case, the solution is always drawn out, and may create an unnecessary relief. Walking along the wall with sandpaper, you can easily get rid of such a relief. The resulting first layer will serve as the substrate.

Applying the second layer and creating a world map

There are several techniques by which the second layer can be created. We will consider in detail the option that creates the most expressive effect. Decorative plaster map of the world is applied to the wall with local islands. To do this, a small amount of mortar is collected with the edge of the trowel, and then transferred to the wall. Immediately after this, the material is rubbed over the surface, and small islands are created. The more uneven the edges of such an island are, the more expressive the drawing will be in the end.

It is important that the trowel is always clean and that little material is applied. In this case, the texture is formed immediately after each application of the solution to the wall. It is necessary to smear decorative plaster carefully, leaving a distance between the islands. We do not pursue the goal of creating large "pieces of land", because random small inclusions will look very impressive.

You can always apply the same amount of mortar to the trowel. Do not be afraid that the picture will turn out to be of the same type, it is not. However, for variety, you can create islands of different sizes.

Already after creating the texture of the world map, it is necessary to carry out glossing - wipe the surface with a trowel. You just need to press the trowel over the dried surface with pressure. It's like polishing, only with more effort. As a result, the outer edge should be even and smooth. It is for glossing that we need a trowel made of alloy steel, because another material can blacken the coating. Our solution is white, and it is too early to change color. Some advise doing the glossing twice with an interval of five minutes.

Since the decorative plaster of the world map must be applied with your own hands very quickly, and the texture must be formed at a certain time, it is best to work in tandem with an assistant. Working alone, it is better to gradually process the entire wall in sections of 2-3 square meters. At the same time, torn edges should be left at the joints so that there are no noticeable transitions.

Finishing with wax, varnish or paint

Now we have a snow-white texture, which shows the grainy first layer and the protruding patterns of the second layer. It's time to give it all color. During painting, the first layer of decorative plaster will come out darker, and the second lighter. So it is not even necessary to use different shades. For finishing, in addition to metallic paint, varnish or wax can be used. Pearlescent paint will also work.

When using wax, you will need a regular sponge, which must be damp to work with it. Wax is collected on a sponge, and then rubbed over the entire surface. Decorative plaster world map will get a beautiful overflow if the wax is applied in several places at once and rubbed in different directions. However, do not leave the edges torn for a long time. It is desirable that the movements are circular for the most even distribution of wax. After the wax has dried, the coating is ready. Working with varnish is carried out in almost the same way.

You can additionally color the dried wax with paint. For this purpose, you need a foam roller and a small amount of paint on it. Most of the material will remain on the raised parts of the surface, which will make the difference in color even more significant, and the pattern more expressive.

Other options for creating an invoice

The above process gives the most expressive effect of the world map, but it is also very complicated. There are simpler options, they would also be worth paying attention to.

  1. A small amount of mortar is applied to the entire surface of the trowel. Next, the trowel with the entire surface is gently pressed against the wall, then removed. This is done on different parts of the wall until the entire solution from the trowel passes to the wall. We have a kind of fur coat at a short distance from each other. Immediately after applying all the decorative plaster to the wall, it should be smoothed out with a trowel.
  2. Decorative plaster world map can be created with a regular brush. To do this, the brush is dipped into the solution with the tip, and then it touches the wall with it. This is very similar to the first option, but is done with a brush. Then, again, with a trowel, the solution is rubbed on the wall. In this case, the texture can come out very similar. Therefore, you can simply crumple a piece of cloth and wind it with tape, making it look like a brush. Working with such an original tool, you can make the drawing more diverse.
  3. You can apply the second layer with a sponge. The principle of operation is exactly the same as with a brush, but the pattern is more diverse.
  4. Pneumatic tools can also be used. For example, a hopper gun. It is necessary to draw the solution into a container, and then it will be sprayed onto the wall under pressure. It is possible to adjust the obesity with which the material will cover the wall. After that, the solution will need to be rubbed with a trowel. With this application option, you get a map of the world, but without large islands. Such a fine texture can simply be boring.

Original walls without stamps and repetitions, beautiful and stylish, with any pattern and in any shade - this is a decorative textured plaster finish. With the help of one composition, an experienced craftsman can perform many different textures, and by adding colors, he can get absolutely any color scheme. Can a beginner handle this challenge? Yes, you just have to follow specific instructions. Each effect, drawing has its own application technology.

Preparation for application

If you have concrete walls, without coating, then this is great. They need to be coated with a deep penetration primer, after which you can proceed to the decorative coating.

If there were wallpapers on the walls, they must be completely removed. Loose plaster, lagging old paint must be peeled off with a spatula. Dents, cracks puttied, and after drying sanded. When the walls are in a very bad condition - there are holes from fallen pieces of concrete, the junction of the floor and walls is very uneven, then the holes are sealed with mounting foam, which is cut off after drying. From above, such places are puttied or sealed with a leveling mortar.

It is not necessary to make the walls perfectly even, it is important to hide only the defects that will be visible under the textured mixture. Small irregularities will be invisible after applying the relief.

After all obvious irregularities are repaired, the walls are sanded and primed.

Our craftsman used coarse and fine grained skins, VGT primer and a pile roller. The primed walls dry for 3 hours.

Applying the base coat

After the primer dries, you can start applying the first layer of textured plaster.

We used an inexpensive Russian one. The cost for a can of 18 kg is 3100 rubles. Consumption when applying two layers using the "world map" technique is approximately 1.7-2 kg per 1 sq.m.

The plaster is applied with a trowel for plastering work in a thin layer equal to the thickness of the fraction (1.5-2 mm) using a stripping technique, i.e. with even spread. A flat surface should be obtained, uniform over the entire area.

The solution is used in the base white color. It is more convenient to pick it up with a spatula and apply the right amount to the trowel so that the entire edge of the trowel is covered with a solution. And then cover the wall.

After the entire surface of the walls is covered with an even layer, the plaster is left to dry for at least 12 hours. After drying, the surface is slightly sanded, but not to smoothness, a granular structure should remain.

Applying an invoice

In our case, we applied a "world map" pattern - chaotic spots of different textures, or "islands".

The decorative mixture is applied with the same trowel. A small amount of plaster is smeared on it with a spatula, which is smeared with a thin layer with oblique movements, creating separate "islands". The edges of these spots are made uneven, which is achieved by the edge of the trowel.

The more pronounced the roughness of the edges, the more expressive the effect. The remains of the solution are applied in neat short strokes in the form of specks between large spots. This is how large and small "islands" are obtained, between which there are "seas" - the first layer of plaster showing through.

To understand the process, watch our video instructions. You can master the technique by practicing on some surface.

Basic application rules

  • With each new application, the trowel must be clean, the mixture is applied to the edge of the tool.
  • Immediately after transferring a portion of the solution to the wall, the texture is formed.
  • We leave a distance between the "pieces of land". The islands can be either of different sizes or approximately the same, anyway, the walls will be different over the entire surface.
  • If you decide to apply the "world map" plaster with your own hands, then it is better to work with an assistant. During individual work, the surface is processed gradually, in sections of 1-2 square meters.
  • After lightly drying the created relief, it can be rubbed with a trowel, making movements with light pressure.

The applied "world map" texture is left to dry for at least 12 hours. Then primed with a thin layer.

Protective covering

In our project, Russian-made was chosen for protection. Both textured plaster and glazing coating, or one thing, can be painted. We chose the staining of the glazing coating. It's easier, and the color goes less.

We opted for a light silver effect finish and trowel application. Other techniques involve application with a brush, sponge or special mitt. When applied with a spatula, the filling of the stains of the first layer of plaster is higher, but the paint consumption is higher.

To prepare the solution, we took two cans of colorless composition and one can of silver-white (can volume 0.9 l), as well as color F113 for this volume of paint, but added it quite a bit to get a light creamy shade.

Our foreman Vitaliy rubbed the glazing composition with a spatula over the entire surface. The effect of using a spatula is more pronounced spots of the first layer, which are beautifully cast with silver in our case.

Our goal was to make the walls as light as possible in order to visually expand the space of a small room. You can use a protective coating with a different effect and tint it in any shade.

Decorative plaster "world map" - price

Let's calculate the cost of the material for creating a decorative coating "world map" using the example of a small room with a wall area of 25 square meters. m. So, we needed:

  • Primer - 5 l. Price 500 rubles.
  • Textured plaster - 3 cans of 18 kg. The cost of one can is 3100 rubles. Only 9300 rubles.
  • The cost of color F113 for 2.5 liters of paint is 14 rubles.
  • Glazing composition - 3 cans of 0.9 liters. The price for a jar is 705 rubles. Total 2115 rubles.
The price of decorative plaster "map of the world" without taking into account the cost of tools and services for applying on a wall area of 25 sq.m - 11929 rubles.

Of particular interest to those who wish to make repairs at home is technology for applying decorative plaster. Indeed, in our time, this method has become quite common and fashionable. Therefore, it is worth considering how to apply decorative plaster with your own hands to make your home even more beautiful.

As a material for plaster, water, polymers and fillers are used, which we will discuss later. Thanks to plaster, you can perfectly level the surface, including brick, plasterboard, wood and others.

Tool for applying decorative plaster:

  • at the first stages, it is necessary to use a spatula, sandpaper and a building level;
  • on the second, add a grater and a trowel;
  • after you need a roller with a pile;
  • now take a flexible spatula, trowel, suede mitt.

Different ways of applying decorative plaster with your own hands

Travertino application technology - procedure and stages of work

Let's consider what application technique for decorative travertino plaster. It can be divided into the stage of preparation and finishing. The first applies exclusively base. But for the second it is important to devote enough time. First, prepare the surface well, so the finish should adhere firmly to the walls. For this:

  • line up the walls. Especially we are talking about depressions of 1-1.5 cm;
  • do not touch up the clay-sand finish with gypsum putties;
  • remove cracks. After all, they are unsuitable for fixing plaster.

But how to remove cracks? The following steps will be required:

  • clear and widen the crack;
  • cut off the edges;
  • make reinforcement.

Let's move on to the primer. Without it, fresh Travetrino mortar will immediately soak into the old plaster. Use either branded primer or acrylic. Apply it in two coats to nourish and prime. Find out about the consumption of a deep penetration primer per 1 m2 at.

When the walls are dry, you can apply plaster. Stages of applying decorative plaster:

  • take the solution. Do not place the grater directly into the bucket. After all, then the work will not look neat. Use a narrow spatula, which adjust the solution on the trowel;
  • apply. The layer size is the grain size. So the thickness should be minimal, as thin as possible. After all, this way the composition will dry faster;
  • waiting for it to dry. It is worth spending enough time on this. It all depends on what features are in the plaster composition, as well as the features of the room in which the repair is being carried out;
  • we do polishing. We use fine sandpaper for alignment. If this is not done, then there will be no problem, but during painting the wall will lose color and shine;
  • we do finishing. Thanks to it, relief arises.

You can apply the mixture with this method of plaster in various ways. It depends on them what character the texture will have and how rich the tinting will be. Find out about foam plaster.

Bayramix wall application technique

The next option is Bayramix decorative plaster, the application technique of which we will consider. Since it polymer blend, then the basis for it should be suitable. Almost any of its options will do. For example, concrete, expanded clay concrete, gypsum, plasterboard, chipboard, DVB and others.

In addition, it is allowed to apply a similar mixture to whitewash or a layer of oily paint. At the same time, there is one important condition - a flat and stable surface. He will tell you about textured plaster from plaster.

There are special primers from the manufacturer that differ in quality. At the same time, it is good to use an acrylic primer.

In the event that the surface is carefully primed before plastering, the plaster will lie well on it.

The peculiarity of the work is that do not need beacons. After all, the solution does not serve as an equalizer, but only as a finishing one. Basically, they undertake to plaster all the walls at once. However, if the volumes are large, then you will have to resort to joints. At the same time, it is important to make them as even as possible so that the whole look is beautiful.

A little tip for this is to use masking tape where the seam will be. Remove it when finished. Another secret is to place the joint near windows and doors. In such places they are less noticeable.

Now apply a solution no thicker than 2 grains. You can smooth it out with a grater or trowel. So the surface will be free of streaks and traces of tools. Find out about the mortar for home oven plaster.

Alpina - a sequence of works for interior decoration of rooms

Consider the method of application for decorative plaster Alpina. In the place where Alpina is applied, prepare the substrate. It is possible to connect plaster only in dry, pure, equal and strong places. Their it is important to clean thoroughly from fat.

Mixing steps:

  • preparing a solution. Due to the fact that the plaster itself is not a dry mortar, it is already ready to be used. If you want to make changes in the structure, then mix in water, but very little.
  • use primer before application;
  • apply finishing material at temperatures from + 5°C to +30°C;
  • use a trowel made of stainless steel for application;
  • You can also remove excess mass with a trowel.

Wet silk method - roller application option

There is another interesting way that differs from others - applying wet silk decorative plaster. Silk plaster is unique and you can apply it more than one way.

There can be many effects from this. The sequence of actions is as follows:

  • we produce a surface primer. This will require two layers;
  • wait 4 hours for the walls to dry;
  • We use the initial coating for plaster. To do this, apply decorative plaster with a velor roller or trowel;
  • allocate three hours for drying;
  • apply plaster freely. In this case, use a sponge;
  • after 20 minutes, smooth the surface with a plastic spatula;
  • if you press the walls a little in different directions, then you will get a beautiful drawing.

Type of application Fur coat

Decorative plaster fur coat applied roller and is quite easy to make. For this, wrapped fur is used.

For a good result, be careful that the solution is not too thin or too thick. Here is a small sequence of actions:

  • using a spatula, the mixture is applied to the surface;
  • with the help of a roller, it rolls out on the wall;
  • when the surface dries, start smoothing it a little using a moistened trowel (you get a cork effect).

There is an option dip the roller into solution and paint the surface. But then the coating will be rougher.

It is possible to produce different variations with the surface structure. The longer the pile at the roller, the larger the texture will be. If there are holes in the roller, then you get an original design.

An interesting option is to apply this decorative plaster in two layers. Level the entire surface first. After that, directly on the mixture that has not yet dried, it is carried out with a roller. When the solution begins to set, a more liquid mixture is applied to the surface.

Thanks to this approach, you can get different types of textures as a result.

Another variety of application methods Lamb

The technology of applying decorative lamb plaster is something that requires a special approach. In this case, it is important buy plaster and primer paint containing quartz sand. Thanks to the use of a grater, spatula and trowel, the surface will be embossed.

When you have applied the mixture, immediately remove all excess. To do this, take a spatula and place it at an angle. Collect all plaster. If the residue is still wet, use a damp cloth to remove. If frozen, a mechanical method is suitable.

In this application technology, it is important to consider some recommendations:

  • make sure that the composition does not stick to the walls, but at the same time does not soak into them. To do this, a primer is applied to the walls;
  • when your surfaces are all smooth, then use priming paints as a treatment;
  • the plastering process can only be started when primer is completely dry;
  • the width of the layer for application should be equal in size to the granules contained in the primer;
  • the structuring of the mixture occurs during the first 15 minutes, so it is important to calculate the surface for processing at the very beginning before work;
  • Apply the plaster in continuous motions.

Kameshkovaya

The technique of applying pebble decorative plaster is very similar to lamb. Below you can get acquainted with the technology of its application.

Burlap effect - waxing plaster

Similar to this is the technology of applying decorative plaster effect of burlap, which produced from ordinary putty. But how is the application of wax on decorative plaster? Application occurs in certain stages.

At the same time, they start from the corners of the walls and make movements without stopping. It is important that there are no layers. The solvent cloth will help to reduce where the layer has become too large and has begun to darken the surfaces.

Wax drying times vary depending on which manufacturer's product you are using. Basically, 3-6 hours are allocated for this.

During the drying time, you can correct possible shortcomings and notice flaws. Allow about 3 weeks for the surface to dry completely.

Then, with a damp cloth, you can wipe the walls. If over time you have more skills in this matter, then wax can be use as a relief for walls, and make from it beautiful flowers and patterns. What is the difference between gypsum plaster and wall putty will tell.

Decorative manna plaster, the application methods of which we will consider, is very attractive. Such decorative plaster applied with a trowel. The thickness of the first layer must be uniform. To create the effect of a “fur coat”, a fur roller is used, with which, after applying the mixture, the surface is rolled.

Walls dry for 4 hours. Next steps:

  • to remove all irregularities, the surface is slightly polished. To do this, use a grater;
  • using a trowel, apply the mixture in the form of islands;
  • smooth everything carefully with the help of a trowel edge;
  • using a brush, all possible dust is removed.

Popular among builders is a kind of decorative plaster map of the world, the application technique of which is quite simple.

For this:

  • part of the unpainted areas is protected with mounting tape and film;
  • the surface is treated with a roller and brush thoroughly soaked with a primer;
  • when everything is dry applied primer-paint with a roller. This will create a rough surface.
  • apply a second coat of paint (if necessary);
  • mix the plaster thoroughly and start applying from the top left corner. Move to the bottom right.

Parade

A very popular type of internal decorative plaster is the Parade method. Here is a video with the technique of applying this type.

In addition, you can use decorative caparol plaster, the application technology of which is known to many.

The layer to be applied must be continuous. Use a trowel or a special sprayer for this.
Structure the entire mixture evenly over the entire circle with a plastic or polyurethane spatula.

If the plaster is furrowed, then it is structured selectively. Either circular or horizontal-vertical movements will do. If you constantly change tools, the surface relief may suffer. After all, when you change tools, it changes. The nozzle diameter should be the same as the size of the grains.

Do not exceed pressure more than 0.4 MPa. The material must be applied extremely evenly. There should be no overlaps and sharp transitions. Such application of decorative plaster Zhytomyr is quite affordable.

And here is Leonardo's decorative plaster, the application technology of which is also known to us. For work, we need the following work order:

  • base surface covered with a layer viscous solution(a couple of millimeters thick);
  • before that, impregnate it with a primer;
  • for simplicity, break the walls into sections for work;

  • start applying the solution from the top right corner. Due to this, the solution will not contaminate the treated surface;
  • at the end, smooth everything with a grater;
  • start creating relief.

Grotto

Grotto decorative plaster is an environmentally friendly coating. It is based on mineral natural fillers and natural lime. The plaster creates the appearance of rocks. It was its similarity with the relief of karst grottoes-caves that gave the name to this grotto plaster.

Below is a video with the technique of its application:

Decorative plaster sand is applied using the same method. His method of application is the same as that of Leonardo.

As you can see, there are many types of plastering for finishing work.

Glazing with acrylic varnish using a roller

Glazing is the final operation when performing decorative plaster. It is designed to give painting or relief surface strength. Currently, glazing is carried out with a special glazing composition or acrylic varnish.

The varnish quickly penetrates the surface of the plaster, it is simply applied with a brush or roller.

The choice of a particular method depends on what kind of design and interior do you want to create in your house. It is important to adhere to the above recommendations in order to prevent serious errors in the work.

In general, the work is quite simple and does not require special skills. We recommend that you familiarize yourself with the material that will tell about.
