Geese-swans - a tale about how the boy was carried away by geese-swans and his sister went to look for him. The stove, the apple tree and the river helped the girl to save her brother ...

Geese-swans read

An old man lived with an old woman; they had a daughter and a little son.

- Daughter, daughter! - said the mother. - We will go to work, bring you a bun, sew a dress, buy a handkerchief; be smart, take care of your brother, do not go out of the yard.

The elders left, and the daughter forgot what she was ordered; I put my brother on the grass under the window, and she herself ran into the street, played, took a walk. Geese-swans flew in, grabbed the boy, carried him away on their wings.

A girl came, lo and behold - there is no brother! She gasped, rushed back and forth - no! She clicked, burst into tears, lamented that it would be bad from her father and mother - my brother did not respond!

I ran out into the open field; geese-swans darted in the distance and disappeared behind dark forest.

Geese-swans have long acquired a bad reputation for themselves, they played a lot and stole small children; the girl guessed that they had carried off her brother, rushed to catch up with them. She ran, ran, there was a stove.

- Stove, stove, tell me where the geese flew?

“Eat my rye pie,” I’ll tell you.

- Oh, my father doesn't eat wheat!

- Apple tree, apple tree, tell me, where did the geese fly?

“Eat my forest apple,” I’ll say.

“Oh, my father’s garden don’t eat either!

She ran on, there is a milk river, jelly banks.

- Milk river, jelly banks, where did the geese fly?

“Eat my simple jelly with milk,” I’ll say.

- Oh, my father doesn't even eat cream!

And for a long time she would have to run through the fields and wander through the forest, but, fortunately, she got a hedgehog; she wanted to push him, was afraid of being pricked and asks:

- Hedgehog, hedgehog, haven't you seen where the geese flew?

- Over there! - pointed out.

For a long time she ran through the fields, through the forests. The day is approaching evening, there is nothing to do - you have to go home. Suddenly he sees - there is a hut on a chicken leg, about one window, turns around itself.

In the hut, an old Baba Yaga is spinning a tow. And my brother sits on a bench, playing with silver apples.

The girl entered the hut:

Hello grandma!

Hello girl! Why did you appear?

I walked through the moss, through the swamps, soaked my dress, came to warm up.

Sit down while you spin the tow.

Baba Yaga gave her a spindle, and she left. The girl is spinning - suddenly a mouse runs out from under the stove and says to her:

Maid, maid, give me some porridge, I'll tell you a good one.

The girl gave her porridge, the mouse told her:

Baba Yaga went to heat the bathhouse. She will wash you, evaporate, put you in the oven, fry and eat you, she will roll on your bones.

The girl sits neither alive nor dead, crying, and the mouse to her again:

Don't wait, take your brother, run, and I'll drag you along for you.

The girl took her brother and ran. And Baba Yaga comes up to the window and asks:

Maid, are you spinning?

The mouse answers her:

I'm straining, grandma ...

Baba Yaga heated the bathhouse and followed the girl. And there is no one in the hut. Baba Yaga shouted:

Swan geese! Fly in pursuit! Brother's sister took it away! ..
Sister and brother ran to the milk river. He sees - geese-swans are flying.

- Mother river, hide me!

- Eat my jelly!

Nothing to do, I ate it. The river planted her under the bank, the geese flew by. She came out, said: "Thank you!" - and again runs with my brother; and the geese returned, flying towards. What to do? Trouble! There is an apple tree.

- Apple-tree, apple-tree-mother, hide me!

- Eat my forest apple!

I ate it quickly. The apple tree covered it with twigs, covered it with leaves; the geese flew by. She went out and ran again with her brother, and the geese saw - and behind her; they fly completely, they beat them with their wings, and look - they will be ripped out of their hands! Fortunately, there is a stove on the road.

- Madam stove, hide me!

- Eat my rye pie!

The girl quickly put a pie in her mouth, and she sat down in the oven. The geese flew, flew, shouted, shouted and flew away empty-handed.

And she ran home, and it's good that she managed to come running: here both father and mother came.

Geese-swans flew, flew, shouted, shouted and flew away empty-handed to Baba Yaga.

The girl said thank you to the stove and ran home with her brother.

And then the father and mother came.

I.

Once upon a time there was a man and a woman. They sowed wheat, gathered crops, baked bread, and took them to the market on weekends. And they had two children - Olyushka, the oldest, and Vanyushka, the youngest.

Here, one day, parents got together on the road - they loaded bread on a cart, and left the children at home and punished Olyushka:
- You, daughter, watch your brother. Don't leave home. Otherwise, the geese-swans will fly in and take him to Baba Yaga behind the dark mountains, into the dense forest. If you fulfill our order, we will bring presents from the bazaar.

Olyushka listens to her father and mother, but does not hear. He only thinks about gifts.
As the father and mother left, she put my brother at the window in the grass-ant to play, and she herself ran away to her friends.

How much, how little time passes, Olyushka returns home. Lo and behold, there is no brother. Looks to the right - to the left, calls out to him. Nobody responds.
Olyushka cried then with bitter tears.

Suddenly, a mouse runs. Asks:
- What are you crying about? What are you grieving about?
- How can I not cry? - Olyushka answers. - My little brother is gone! Nice brother! My father and mother told me to look after him, but I didn't listen to them! Left him alone.

The mouse answers her:
- Yes, a great grief happened. And your brother was carried away by the geese-swans. To Baba Yaga, beyond the dark mountains, into the dense forest.

II.

Olyushka thanked the mouse then and wandered wherever her eyes were.
Here she comes and sees - it is worth apple tree... The heavy branches bent down to the ground. Apples on them are liquid, scarlet, and look - they will fall.

Olyushka says:
- Apple tree, and apple tree, haven't you seen where the swan-geese flew?

The apple tree answers her:
- And you tie up my twigs, and taste my fruits. It's hard for me to stand like this. Then I'll tell you.
- I have no time to eat apples, but to tie up the branches, - says Olyushka. I turned around and walked on, I don’t know the road.

Olyushka says:
- Rechenka, and little river, haven't you seen where the swan-geese flew?
The river answers her:
- And you free my channel, and taste my jelly. Then I'll tell you.
- I have no time to drink jelly, but to clean up the branches, - says Olyushka. I turned around and walked on, I don’t know the road.

Further it goes. Stands by the road stove... Puffs - smokes. The pies fall out of the flap.
Olyushka says:
- Stove, and stove, have you not seen where the swan-geese flew?
The stove answers her:

- I have no time to take out pies and eat, - says Olyushka. I turned around and walked on, I don’t know the road.

III.

So she came to the dense forest. A dark forest, a wild forest.
He sees - there is a hut on the edge of the forest, and next to it sits her brother Vanyushka on the grass, playing with rejuvenating apples.

Olyushka approached him quietly, took his hand and wanted to run away. But then a terrible shaggy head with a long nose stuck out of the hut. That Baba Yaga was. She grabbed Olyushka with one hand with the other Vanyushka and dragged her into the hut.
“Now I’ll eat you both,” he says. - Just leave for a little while. Until then, my daughter will roast you in the oven.

She said so and went out. Only her daughter remained - a dried-up, thin old woman like a cane, a little younger than Baba Yaga. She says to the children:
- Come on, sit down on your shoulder blade! I'll send you to the oven!

And Olyushka sits down on her shoulder blade and spreads her arms and legs to the sides. It does not go into the oven in any way.
Then the daughter of Baba Yaga got angry. Shouts:
- Stupid girl! Why, you can't even get into the oven normally!
“Show me,” says Olyushka.
Well, the old woman sat down on her shoulder blade, tucked her arms and legs, and Olyushka instantly sent her into the oven and closed her with a flap. She grabbed her brother and ran away from the hut.

How long or short it returns home Baba Yaga.
He smells meat from the stove. She took it out, ate it and only then thinks, "Where is this my daughter gone?"
Suddenly looking at the plate - and there is a copper ring, from a daughter's finger. She realized then that Olyushka had deceived her. She was so angry that her teeth would hold together and from this terrible grinding, the forest birds fly away from the trees.

Baba Yaga shouted:
- Swan geese! My faithful helpers! Fly! Find! Bring back the fugitives!
Geese-swans flew in, like a gray cloud, a terrible cloud. And they rushed over the fields - to scour the forests.

IV.

Meanwhile, Olyushka and Vanyushka fled away from the black forest.
So they run, and they see - the geese-swans are catching up, they cannot leave. And ahead of the road stove costs.

Olyushka begged:
- Stove - mother, hide us!
The stove answers her:
- And you take out my pies, put them on a plate and taste it yourself.
Olyushka instantly took the pies out of the oven, put a pie in her mouth and her brother. And then I climbed into the oven with my brother. And as soon as she had time to close the shutter behind her, the swan-geese swooped down. We circled, circled, but not finding anything, flew away further.
Olyushka thanked the stove, took her brother by the hand and ran on.

And ahead on the way river - jelly banks.
Olyushka begged:
- River - mother, hide us.
The river answers her:
- And you free my channel, and taste my jelly. Then I'll hide it.
Olga and Vanyushka instantly scattered pebbles and twigs on different sides, sipped a jelly. And only under the arms of the river did they manage to get up when the geese-swans flew in. Circled, circled, but found nothing, and flew further.
Olyushka thanked the river, took her brother by the hand and ran on.

How much, how little time passes, again the geese-swans are catching up.
And ahead on the way apple tree.
Olyushka begged:
- Apple tree - mother, hide us.
The apple tree answers her:
- And you tie up my twigs, and taste my fruits. Then I'll hide it.
Olyushka instantly tied up the twigs, took an apple for herself and my brother, and only managed to become sprawling under the branches, when the swan-geese swooped down. For a long time they circled side by side, screaming in terrible voices. But they never found anything. They returned to Baba Yaga with nothing.
And Olyushka thanked the apple tree, took her brother and ran on. It’s not far from home.

They just came running, and there father and mother returned from the market. The guests were brought in. Olyushka was stroked on the head, kind word caressed. For the fact that she looked after my brother well.

Once upon a time there lived an old man with an old woman, they had a daughter and a little son.

- Daughter! - said the mother. - We will go to work, and when we return, we will bring you a pie, we will sew a dress. Be smart, don't go out of the yard and keep an eye on your brother, we'll buy a handkerchief.

The father and mother left, and the daughter forgot what they had told her, put her brother on the grass under the window, and she herself ran into the street, played, took a walk.

Geese-swans flew in, picked up the boy, carried him away on their wings.

The girl has returned, she looks, but there is no brother! She gasped, rushed back and forth - no! She called, called, burst into tears, lamented that it would be bad from father and mother - my brother did not respond.
