After the wood has steamed and becomes flexible, remove it from the steam and put it in the semicircle of the spacers that we prepared earlier. After drying, the folded profile can be installed in the designated place.

Softwood skirting boards

Technologies are constantly evolving and those materials that were previously extremely hard, today acquire flexibility and plasticity. It's all about liquid skirting boards.

The production of such a product is rather complicated; hard woods are used as materials. These are mainly oak, ash and other species. Under the influence of special chemical reagents, cellulose turns into a jelly-like consistency. In this case, the color is completely preserved. Under the influence of oxygen, the necessary hardness is acquired, and the skirting board is sold in vacuum packages.

Installation technology will not cause difficulties, but it requires special care and attention. First of all, manufacturers recommend spreading product packaging along the surface along the walls. Then the bags are opened in turn, and the mass is laid out in the places where the floor connects to the wall. The consistency of the product will initially be similar to rubber, but then the product will harden and take on its final appearance.

Polyurethane profiles

Polyurethane flexible profile or Rico Flex is a decorative floor element that will complement any room.

Specifications generally depend on the composition. But the polyurethane profile is lightweight, highly flexible and easy to install, durable, easy to maintain. It can also be painted in any color.

Installation of flexible floor skirting boards starts from any angle. The profiles must be cut at an angle of 45 °. Ensure that the alignment is accurate prior to installation. Installation is greatly facilitated by flexibility - you can firmly attach the product even to very uneven walls. Self-tapping screws are not used for fastening - installation is carried out only with glue. Any high-quality glue will do, but more often skirting board manufacturers also produce adhesives.

Using a pistol, the glue mixture is applied to the back of the product in continuous strips. When the skirting board is installed, a little glue is also applied to the joint. Then the profile is pressed against the surface, then removed and the glue is allowed to dry out. After that, the plinth is pressed completely. Any excess glue must be removed immediately. It is allowed to glue the profile only on the wall, but not on the floor covering.
