Childhood

The future spiritual teacher was born in India on the 11th of the last spring month, 1896 in a small town called Madanapalle. The little brahmacharya appeared in the family of an employee of the Tax Department. The Jiddu Krishnamurti family was quite wealthy, since its members belonged to the highest caste - the Brahmins (there are four official castes in India).

His father was in the theosophical community, and his mother was a Krishnaite, in fact, it was in honor of the god Sri Krishna that they named their son. The amazing abilities of young Krishnamurti

Krishnamurti began his acquaintance with the Vedic scriptures when he went to the temple with his mother. There he also discovered the secret meaning of the epic "Mahabharata". Jiddu Krishnamurti was born into an orthodox brahmana family in Madanapali in 1895.

The kid was noticed by Charles Leadbeater, one of the leaders of the Theosophical Society. He was amazed at the beauty of Jeddah, his inclinations for vivid ecstatic experiences and visions. Leadbeater decided that Jeddah was the very person the Theosophists were looking for: the new Master of the World, the living Maitreya, whose previous incarnation was Jesus Christ.

His father, Narayani Krishnamurti, willingly gave his son up for education, but soon realized that theosophists would turn him away from orthodox Hinduism and demanded his son back. Theosophists are happy to state the fusion of human consciousness with the consciousness of Maitreya. In April 1927. A. Bezant makes a statement for the Associated Press: "The Peace Teacher is here." At the beginning of 1929. she writes to Krishnamurti that she would like to leave the post of head of the Theosophical Society, sit at his feet and listen to what he says - but he does not allow her to. Leading Theosophists, in their enthusiasm, do not notice that for three years now the Messiah has been saying strange things that do not fit into theosophical doctrine.

Finally, on August 3, 1929, in the presence of three thousand members of the Society who gathered to listen to him, Krishnamurti announces his decision to dissolve the Order of the Star. He speaks of the absolute harm of authority and submission to it, that there are no roads to the truth, and it is absurd to think that any organization is capable of leading or can force people to follow a given path. And those who really want to understand something and can cooperate do not need any organization and no authority, especially the authority of the World Teacher. Buddha and Christ did not pretend to be divine, it was imposed on them by their worship of the disciples. He sees the task in freeing a person from fears, from conditioning, from limitations, and not in building new cells for him from religions, sects, theories or philosophies. The Theosophical Society received a terrible blow and hastened to disown Krishnamurti. For Annie Besant, this was a collapse of the plans of her whole life, but her faith in Krishnamurti and her love for him did not shake, until her death, in 1933, she believed that he knew better what was needed and did everything so that he could continue their activities. Soon, all of the Order's funds were liquidated, and vast properties and estates were returned to their original owners.

Not all Theosophists were able to accept this, but the break was not sharp. A warm relationship with Annie Besant remained until the end of her life. The Theosophical Halls were always open to Krishnamurti, and the Theosophical Societies published his works.

Krishnamurti settles in California for a long time. Until 1939. he comes to India several times, where, despite the opposition of theosophists, especially after the death of A. World War II changed the world. She also changed India. In 1947, two months after the declaration of India's independence, Krishnamurti came to his homeland. A country awakening after centuries of stagnation is in a severe crisis. The enthusiasm for freedom did not last long; for many, it gave way to disappointment and despair. Millions of people were forced, on pain of death, to abandon their homes and property and go to no one knows where. Many intellectuals watched with horror the results of their centuries-old noble struggle. What's happening? How did it happen?

New India is already ready to hear Krishnamurti. And he explodes with all the gigantic charge of energy of love, compassion and truth that has accumulated in him over the years spent in external inactivity. This stream does not dry up until his death in 1986.

It is impossible to represent Krishnamurti's system of views, because the word "system" is inappropriate in relation to his philosophy. Reading Krishnamurti, people experience the great shock that unexpectedly revealed truth gives. Krishnamurti's philosophy is not a doctrine with definite dogmas. His ideas about life and death, happiness and joy, space and time, about love, etc., which are discussed in his conversations, are not imposed on the interlocutor, moreover, they are simply presented as a subject of thought for everyone, and a decision for each individual your own. Krishnamurti's answers are almost always paradoxical, they maneuver on the razor's edge and are unusually accurate, opening a person's eyes to the eternal and imperishable. He talks about an experience that causes our perception to ossify, forms certain stereotypes of behavior in already known situations. He points out that it is necessary to be aware of this in order not to limit the possibilities of perceiving each phenomenon, to perceive it as for the first time. Krishnamurti's unusually vivid definition of a truly religious mind as an explosion of awareness, a rebellion against all fetters and systems.

Krishnamurti took up active educational activities in the period 50-60, when the post-war crisis led to the collapse of the world system, a mighty stream of national liberation revolutions arose in different countries.
