You will need:

• a wooden plank with a thickness of about 2 cm (in our case, a thin walnut plank was used);
• drill;
• Forstner drill with a diameter of 2 cm;
• Super glue;
• high power round magnets with a diameter of 2 cm (the quantity depends on the length of the wooden plank);
• spray varnish for finishing;
• 2 small brackets and 4 small nails;
• hammer

Instructions:

1. Find a suitable piece of wood and, if necessary, file it down to the desired size (in our case, a wooden plank with a thickness of about 2 cm and a length of 20 cm was used, but you can choose the length and width that suit your individual needs). If you don't have a saw, you can ask your local hardware store to do it for you.

2.Using a drill equipped with a 2cm Forstner bit, drill two rows of holes on the back of the wooden plank. The holes should be close to each other, and their depth should be at least 1 cm, so that the magnets are located as close to the front side of the plank as possible, but you do not need to drill through the plank.

3. When all the desired holes are made, apply a couple of drops of super glue to the bottom of each hole and place a magnet in each hole. Make sure the magnets are positioned correctly and that they can effectively hold the knives on the plank through the wood. Let the glue dry to hold the magnets in place.

4. When the adhesive is dry, use a spray to apply a thin layer of varnish to the face of the strip. This will ensure the longevity of the wooden surface in case you place wet knives on it.

5. For a finishing touch, attach a pair of brackets to the back of the plank so you can hang it on the wall. Secure the brackets with small studs and space them evenly so that the holder can easily support the weight of the knives.

Now you can drive a couple of bolts into the wall to hold your holder, hang it on the wall, and place your knives on it.

As it is removed, the master trims the ends with scissors to the size of the PVC pipe so that they do not look outside the body.

You can also pull it out with pliers, holding the bristles at the base and pulling towards yourself while holding the brush itself with your hands or holding it in a vice.

The extracted material should be pre-measured and placed in the plug body.

To make a magnetic holder, prepare:

• a piece of board;
• Neodymium magnets;
• screws;

Step 1... From the board you have, you need to cut a block. Its size will depend on the number of knives in your set and on the width of their blades. The standard block dimensions are 5 x 40 x 2 cm. You can show your own imagination and cut out from the board not just a rectangular holder, but also a blank in the form of a letter, waves, and so on.

Step 2... Having prepared the base of the holder, start marking the groove for the magnets. When deciding on the width of the groove, proceed from the diameter of the magnets. Be sure to leave a few millimeters behind. In this master class, to make it more convenient to work with the router, a structure of boards was built right on the workpiece, which you can see in the photo. The structure was created from pieces of MDF. With a jigsaw on hand, you can do without this step.

Step 3... Cut out the groove. The hole must not be through. In this case, the thickness of the remaining piece of wood was 15 mm. Note that the thickness of the remaining wood in the groove must match the strength of the magnet. If it is weak, then 15 mm is a lot and the knives will not be attached to the holder. For powerful magnets, you can leave the wood thick. The magnets used in this manual are the D83 b series, the D82 magnets are also suitable for the same slot parameters.

Step 4... Round off the edges of the groove and sand it with sandpaper so that the surface of the product is smooth.

Step 5... Wipe the groove with a rag to remove any residual dust and chips.

Step 6... Place the wooden part of the holder on a metal tray. Send neodymium magnets into the prepared hollow. Be sure to observe the polarity so that the magnets do not repel.
The tray is needed so that the magnets do not knock against each other. Despite the power of the products, they are very fragile, and the presence of the metal to which they are attracted will allow the magnets to stay in place.

Step 7... Fill the groove with the magnets with silicone glue. There should be a lot of it. Let the glue dry.
