Windows with a ventilation valve. Ventilation valves for plastic windows

Recently, plastic windows are increasingly being used in various areas of construction of buildings and structures. Due to most of their advantages, these structures can be used both in residential construction and in industrial construction. They protect well from heat and cold, prevent the penetration of noise and various odors, as well as harmful insects. But there is also a huge drawback, which is to prevent air from entering the room.

Here it can be noted that this is not quite a lack of plastic. It can be noted that these particular structures are not provided for houses that were built in past centuries.

Ventilation and plastic: compatible or not?

Why hasn't a method for effective ventilation of windows been invented in the modern world? Here you need to be more imbued with the question. Everything here was based on the presence of a hood in the kitchen and bathroom, as well as ventilation through the door and window cracks. This technique was invented a long time ago and has already met the expectations of the inventors.

And now you can look at this invention from the side of arranging new plastic windows. When the structure goes through the installation process, then all cracks and gaps are sealed, thereby creating humidity in the room. This disrupts natural air exchange due to the lack of air flow into the room. Indoors at home or it becomes stuffy, humid and discomfort begins. Here a process may begin, which will consist in the following: all the air will not leave the room, but will remain permanently there, and all the smells from neighboring apartments will be felt completely in you.

Here we can highlight other problems that arise during operation. Due to the constant closing of windows, condensation can form inside the structure, which will interfere with the normal use of the materials. It is best to keep the windows on the micro-ventilation function to prevent the glass from fogging up.

Plastic window ventilation mode

Of course, you can get rid of such problems with simple ventilation in several built-in modes. Also, when purchasing, you should consider the number of cameras. In the presence of a cold temperature regime, it is better to buy multi-chamber windows that will retain heat much better. Of course, you will have to overpay for the quality, but the result will not keep you waiting.

Combination of ventilation and windows

Can ventilation and windows be combined? The answer is simple - you can. There are quite a few options for the device. There are quite a few combinations, some of which are:

  • with a window;
  • self-ventilated;
  • with a comb;
  • with ventilation valve;

And from the side of the street

Windows with a window

A fairly common method of ventilation, which has been used for quite a long time. It provides for the intake of air under the ceiling in the room, which then mixes with the room air, thereby forming a cool and clean product. This excludes the appearance of drafts or condensation in the window.

The disadvantages of this design are a rather large increase in cost and complexity of the design, which increases the weight of the materials. It is worth noting here that as the design becomes more complex, a large amount of light flux is lost, which makes the room rather dark. This is not always good.

Self-ventilated plastic windows

Self-ventilated windows are the best option for devices in all buildings. They can be used both in civil and industrial construction. This option consists in the fact that the structures use profiles with holes at the top and bottom of the frame. The holes are located in the upper inner and lower outer parts. Air masses, passing through the lower part, are heated, and already heated air enters the room.

The principle works very well, but it has some limitations. Such structures cannot be installed on the upper floors due to the insufficient amount of incoming air. From such a disadvantage in many systems, a ventilation valve for windows has recently become widespread.

Combed windows

These windows are the most widely used today. With such a device, a regulator is built into the windows, which allows you to either open the window completely or open it in several modes.

This mechanism is very inexpensive, but it works quite well. The comb makes it possible to regulate all incoming masses and leave the window in the intermediate position mode.

Ventilation valve in the windows

For normal operation, such a device must combine several functions for full operation. Subject to such laws, the entire room will be constantly ventilated, which will ensure normal temperature conditions. It should be noted here that such a valve has several varieties, which are called classes. Classes are very different from each other and have different mounting methods.

To put the valve in the window frame, you can either replace the entire glass unit, or replace the part that is responsible for ventilation. There are also disadvantages here, which consist in an increase in the cost and weight of the structure. Such operations are carried out in less than an hour, but they guarantee a fairly good result.

Next, you need to decide on the control mode. Here, as in any design, both automatic and manual modes can be used. These options have their own differences, which are as follows. With the help of the manual, you can regulate the ventilation, thereby placing it where you need it. Here partial ventilation is applicable, which allows these processes to be carried out only where it is required. As for the automatic control, everything is very simple. The mechanism built into the windows itself regulates the required temperature and, if necessary, adds air masses of the required temperature. However, there is a third option, which combines all the advantages and removed many of the disadvantages of the two previous modes. This is a mixed mode. It allows you to customize any mode when it's convenient.

Winter operation

Here their own problems may appear, which consist in the appearance of condensation. But such a flaw cannot be predicted. In all cases, everything will be different. Such a consequence will depend on the temperature of the outside air, the material of the walls, the intimacy of the windows themselves.

Climatic valve

When operating in winter, it is worth noting that, under any circumstances, the premises should be ventilated at least 2 times a week. This will ensure a fairly durable use of structures and protect them from condensation.

Installation

Considering this issue, you need to remember that it is better to hire good specialists who will qualitatively install this design.

If installed incorrectly, all sorts of difficulties subsequently arise, which sometimes lead to decay with a large amount of moisture. This can lead to rather difficult results and money will be wasted.

Installation of a window ventilator

Very important . How to arrange it correctly - read in a separate article.

Plastic windows appeared in our company quite recently - the first workshops for their production in the CIS countries appeared in the early 90s of the last century. Nevertheless, it is already hard for us to imagine our life without plastic double-glazed windows. Their main advantage is that they do not let street noise and cold air into the apartment. But at the same time we are deprived of the most important thing - natural air exchange. This drawback can be corrected by using supply valves on the windows.

PVC windows are good for everyone: they are warm, quiet and comfortable. However, with plastic windows it leaves a lot to be desired. Without proper ventilation, residents run the risk of "side effects" such as incessant fatigue and. Of course, you can ventilate the room to ensure the flow of fresh air, but this solution is difficult to consider as successful: keeping the windows open in windy or cold weather is quite problematic. In addition, the air enters the room uncontrollably.

Accordingly, for a comfortable stay in a house, some kind of device is needed, with the help of which air will continuously flow into the room in the required amount. For this purpose, they were created. One of their types, window valves, is built into a glass unit, so that a narrow gap is formed that regulates the air supply.

A large assortment of ventilation valves is presented on the modern market. Usually, several types of devices are shared.

Manual

A manually operated aerial valve is cheaper than an automatic one, but it is difficult to regulate the air flow manually: after all, the required amount of fresh air strongly depends on the number of people and the state of the microclimate in the room.

Automatic

The automatic valve on the window is more convenient. It has a built-in sensor that detects the level of relative humidity in the room. Thanks to the sensor, the device itself regulates the amount of incoming air and determines when to open or close the ventilation hole.

Folded supply and ventilation valves

The most budgetary option. Fresh air is supplied from the street to the house through special openings in the frame or sash. There is no need to dismantle the windows to install the valve. Street noise practically does not penetrate the house. The main disadvantage of this type is low throughput: the room will still need periodic ventilation.

Slotted valves on windows

With slot ventilation, air is supplied through an opening with a width of 12–16 mm and a length of 170–400 mm. Some models consist of one universal unit, and some of two units: one is installed on the inside of the window, and the other on the outside. Slot valves have high flow rates and do not require window dismantling to install, which is why they are quite popular in the market.

Inlet handle

It is mounted instead of the usual plastic window handle. When installed, the appearance of the window does not change in any way. Also, often the handle valve has a built-in filter element that blocks out dust.

Overhead valves

This type, among others, is the most effective. However, you cannot do without dismantling the window: the dimensions of the window sashes and the frame must be "adjusted" to the device. There is practically no protection against street noise. Therefore, this type is more often used in warehouses and factories than in ordinary apartments.

According to the material of manufacture, the models are divided into wooden, metal and plastic.

Apart from the installation of the overhead valve, there are two ways to install it: with milling (you will have to make a hole in the window block; most likely, you will need the help of specialists) and without milling. The second method is the simplest, with its help you can install the valve on PVC windows with your own hands in a matter of minutes.

You will need:

  • stationery knife;
  • Phillips screwdriver
  • ruler.
  1. On the frame, cut off a piece of a typical seal equal to the length of the valve with a clerical knife.
  2. Glue a new one in place of the old seal - it comes complete with a supply valve.
  3. Remove the excess seal on the sash in the same way.
  4. Install the plugs from the kit into the groove on the sash where the previous seal was located.
  5. Attach the valve to the top of the sash (the brackets should point towards the window). Secure it with the self-tapping screws from the kit.
  6. Install a new seal between the brackets.

Reviews of ventilation valves are very different - from enthusiastic to aggressively disappointed. Almost all users point out the same pros and cons.

Advantages:

  • Unlike micro-ventilation or ventilation with open windows, there are no drafts in the apartment when the supply valve is in operation.
  • Fresh air is supplied continuously, which has a positive effect on the microclimate of your home. The humidity in the apartment is normalized, the risk of fungus on the walls is reduced.
  • The device is easy to install and use.
  • The likelihood of formation on the windows is reduced.

Disadvantages:

  • In winter, some valve models freeze over.
  • If you have a manual valve, you will often have to adjust it depending on the weather conditions, the number of people in the room (i.e. the level of carbon dioxide in the air) and other climatic conditions. Since the valve is located at the top of the window, it may be necessary to stand on a chair or ladder in order to adjust the operation of the device - it all depends on the height of the windows themselves.
  • The device is usually not equipped with filters, so street dust and other pollutants can enter the air.

As we can see, the supply valves for plastic windows have both pros and cons. The question naturally arises: is it worth the candle? What else are there that will provide an influx of fresh air and oxygen?

To compare, first it is worth defining the comparison criteria:

  • Performance. The performance of the ventilator is measured in cubic meters of air supplied by the device per hour. On average, an adult consumes about 30–40 m3 / h. So, if there are three people in your family, you will need a device with a capacity of 90 cubic meters per hour. It is best to take a ventilator with a capacity margin so as not to overload the device with constant operation at maximum settings.
  • Noise. A low noise level is important for comfortable use of the ventilator. The imperceptible noise level is in the range of 30–40 decibels; at high performance, the normal noise level of the ventilator should be no more than 50–55 decibels. Also, when choosing a device, it is necessary to observe what kind of sound comes from the ventilator: intermittent noise, most likely, will irritate the hearing.
  • Filtration system. Air filters are not installed in every ventilator. If you want the air supplied to the apartment to be not only fresh, but also clean, the presence of a filtration system should be a decisive criterion for you.
  • Air heating system. Air heating is a necessary function for residents of cities in which winter is especially harsh. Using the heating system, you can program the device to supply air at a comfortable temperature.
  • Complexity of installation. Ventilator installation is a process that requires accuracy and precision. Some types of ventilators are installed by hand, some require the help of specialists.
  • Price. The price of the ventilator depends on the factors mentioned above - maximum performance, sound insulation, quantity and quality of filters, availability of a climate control system, etc. Thus, the cost can vary from several hundred rubles to tens of thousands.

A climatic valve for plastic windows is the simplest and cheapest solution to provide ventilation. Its installation does not require special equipment, through it fresh air enters the house, it does not make noise - only the level of noise entering the room from the street increases slightly. However, the capabilities of the device are not that great. Its productivity is rather low - up to 35 m3 / h. The device is not equipped with filters and heating element.

A wall inlet valve has a similar device. To install it, you need to make a hole in the wall. As a rule, the capacity of a wall valve is higher than that of a window valve (up to 50 m3 / h). Some models are equipped with a coarse filter that prevents coarse dust, fluff and insects from entering the room air. Due to installation errors, the wall on which the valve is located may freeze at low air temperatures; there is no air heating system.

A mechanical ventilator is similar to a wall inlet valve, but it always contains a fan and more efficient filters. The capacity of such a device is limited only by the capacity of the fan (40–120 m3 / h). However, such a ventilator does not remove fine dust and allergens from the air; it also lacks a climate control function.

- the most efficient supply ventilation system among the previous options. The advantages of a breather are climate control and a three-stage air filtration system. There is also a recirculation mode in the breather, that is, the device can clean the air inside the room. The device is installed by specialists by making a small hole in the wall facing the street, and it takes about an hour. The cost of a breather is much higher than that of other ventilators.
Below we have provided a short comparison table of four ventilation units (characteristics may vary depending on the model).

A distinctive feature of metal-plastic windows is the ability to retain heat in a residential building. They effectively prevent the penetration of sound, cold, moisture. At the same time, these solutions do not allow providing the interior space with sufficient fresh air. The only correct solution is to install a supply valve on plastic windows. What kind of products are these, and what is their purpose?

Do you need air inlets at all?

Plastic windows have a lot of obvious advantages. They were appreciated not only by the owners of city apartments, but also country cottages. But with all its "pluses", visually beautiful solutions de facto worsen the microclimate of housing. Installation of supply valves on PVC windows is the most affordable and simple way to normalize the temperature and humidity conditions, leveling the risk of mold and mildew formation.

So what exactly is this device and how does it work? The supply valve for plastic windows is a small solution that is usually installed in the upper sash of the frame. It is located in a strictly horizontal position, due to which the exhaust function is realized. A small valve not only eliminates the likelihood of condensation in the frame, but also helps maintain a comfortable microclimate.

It is advisable to use supply valves on windows for a number of reasons:

  • in the course of its functioning, any heat losses are excluded, the level of sound insulation remains at the original level;
  • unlike traditional ventilation, drafts do not occur;
  • the window opening does not change in any way in terms of light penetration;
  • the product can be easily installed, no problems arise during operation;
  • the operation of the device can be adjusted at your own discretion.

Why do you need supply valves

Design features and nuances of functioning

Competent installation of the supply valve on a plastic window is possible only if there is an exhaustive understanding of the mechanism of operation of this device. In the process of installation work, a section with a rubber seal is removed from the structure of the window opening, both at the sash and at the frame. It is replaced with an additional layer of sealant and an air inlet, to which the role of passive ventilation is delegated.

The solutions installed in this way allow warm air to be removed outside and fresh oxygen is taken into the room. This is achieved due to the pressure difference. The system works provided that the temperature outside the window is not lower than + 5 ° С. In the sultry heat, ventilation products are activated thanks to forced draft.

A valve for a plastic window includes a number of elements:

  • outer structure of the air intake(mounted only on the outside of the frame). Above the product itself, there must certainly be a visor that prevents moisture and atmospheric residues from penetrating inside;
  • compact telescopic duct- a small element, combined with the window body and fixed with a special sleeve;
  • inner fragment located inside the room. From a structural point of view, it is one of the most complex elements of the system, which includes: a control mechanism (for adjusting the air flow), a filter grate and an outlet nozzle.

Construction device

There are a number of conditions required for effective work in plastic windows:

  • functioning of the main house ventilation duct;
  • the presence of natural air exchange (small cracks in the floor, in the interior doors);
  • tightness of the front door;
  • outside the window the temperature regime is not lower than + 5 ° С.

Transfer of "Miracle of Technology" to NTV, about Aereco supply valves

A wide range of exhaust solutions for PVC windows is on sale. As for the differences between specific models, it is customary to consider them according to a number of criteria.

Varieties of air inlets

Depending on the prevailing design material:

  • metal;
  • wooden;
  • plastic.

Fresh air intake method inside the room:

  • Overhead solutions... Ventilation valve for plastic windows with high efficiency. Its key feature is the need to "fit" the frame and glass unit design to the exhaust device. Such products cannot be built into a finished window. The main area of application is warehouse facilities, industrial complexes.
  • Supply-slotted structures... Air is drawn in through a 16 cm slot. Inside the room there is a special regulating block, and outside there is an inlet block that prevents the penetration of insects, small particles and precipitation. There is no need to dismantle the window for installation. The product is characterized by a sufficiently high performance.
  • Folded products... One of the most affordable window varieties. The supply of fresh oxygen is carried out through small cutouts located in the vestibule. The solutions are distinguished by good sound insulation, low bandwidth and ease of installation.

By type of control:

  • manual;
  • automatic.

note! Original designs in the form of a handle valve are in great demand. This product replaces the traditional window handle without compromising the appearance of the opening itself.

Step-by-step instructions for installing a ventilation valve

Let us dwell in more detail on the nuances of installing a valve with our own hands. This event does not require any specialized skills, and in time the whole process lasts up to 40-60 minutes.

To install the supply valve on the windows with your own hands, you should prepare:

  • sample;
  • medium-length screwdriver;
  • complete valve;
  • stationery knife.

All of the listed elements necessary for the installation of small products are included in the standard delivery set. The length of the valve does not exceed 35 cm. In addition to it, you will need 2 seals, the length of each of which is at least 16 cm, as well as an additional 35 cm segment. Special fasteners on self-tapping screws are used to fix the structure.

Stage 1 . Localization of the installation site... It is customary to place window supply valves in the upper part of the sash. Experts recommend marking a place in the middle of the structure, and then attach a template to it and circle it around.

Stage 2 . Removing the seal... In the marked area, the standard seal must be removed. It is not fixed too tightly and if you make small cuts with a clerical knife, then the rubber product can be completely removed.

Stage 3 . Installation of fixing dowels... Insert 3 fixing plugs into the free groove. Their main purpose is to mount the valve body on the base of the leaf. One dowel is displaced exactly in the middle, and the remaining 2 are placed along the edges.

Stage 4 . Installing the ventilation device on the window... To make it easier to work, we recommend that you first apply double-sided assembly tape to the sash surface. The valve is located in the most preferred position.

Stage 5 . Fixing the valve on the sash... The ventilation product must be attached to the profile structure using self-tapping screws (do not forget about the dowels). This will allow the product to be securely secured enough.

Stage 7 . Removing the old frame seal... In order for the ventilation device to function properly, it must provide a supply of clean air. To this end, experts strongly recommend abandoning the standard seal, replacing it with the one that comes with the valve. Opposite the fixed valve, a segment is marked, the total length of which must be at least 35 cm. Dismantle the old seal and then replace it with a new one.

The seal in the frame is as shown in the image below. If we take a narrower seal, then a small gap will form between the sash and the base of the frame, through which fresh oxygen is taken in. The window will remain functional.

This completes the installation process. At your own discretion, you can adjust the oxygen flow using a small slider. In the right position, the curtain will be fully open, therefore, the air flow will be maximum.

The device considered in our article is a useful and necessary solution for every home, which allows you to significantly improve the microclimate of your home. Installation work, if desired, can be done with your own hands, without the help of specialists. Installation features depend on the configuration, design and specific valve model.

Useful information

The installation of plastic windows can lead to a violation of the microclimate in the house or office: an increase in the humidity of the environment, a lack of oxygen and musty air. It is easy to eliminate such problems with supply valves for window openings.

TBM-Market has a large selection of window ventilators from leading Russian and world manufacturers. They normalize natural ventilation and stabilize air exchange in residential or non-residential premises.

Advantages of supply valves

The valve consists of an internal adjustable grille and an external visor. The last element blocks rainfall from entering the house and is equipped with a protective mesh from small insects. An internal controlled part allows you to set the amount and direction of movement of fresh air.

The features of window ventilators include the following:

  • the light zone of the glass unit remains free;
  • no drafts, like from an open window;
  • the flow of outdoor air passes organically, in full;
  • there will be no heat losses;
  • maintaining sound insulation;
  • you can set the operating parameters, especially if these are automatic systems;
  • easy installation and use.

The ventilation valve looks like a narrow box that is attached to the crossbar of the window opening. Internal parts, called feathers, are responsible for the flow of air from the outside. In good weather, the device lets air flow into the apartment, and in strong winds, the feathers block the cold from entering the room. Due to the fact that ventilation is automatically regulated, there is no need to open windows for ventilation in the morning and in the evening.

Classification

When choosing a supply valve, you can rely on the following criteria:

  1. Release material:

  • metal;
  • plastic.
  • By type of control:
    • mechanical adjustment, where the required ventilation level is manually set;
    • automatic option, when the element itself determines the opening / closing period of the supply duct, depending on humidity, pressure surges in the room, the number of people in the house, etc.
  • By the type of air flow into the room:
    • Folding mechanism, when air flows through small holes in the valve. It is not necessary to dismantle the window, but the flow capacity of the valve is low, soundproofing qualities may suffer.
    • Slotted systems, where air enters the premises through an opening up to 16mm high. Outside, the system is covered with a protective block against small insects and moisture. The inner part is represented by a control flap. Installation is carried out on the upper vertical or horizontal crossbar.
    • Overhead elements. Installation is not performed on an existing glass unit.
    • Wall-mounted mechanism, where air exchange passes through a hole in the wall and a plastic pipe. This expensive, but also effective device goes on sale already with forced heating or filters for air purification.
  • By installation method:
    • With built-in valves that come with PVC windows.
    • With milling, when the element can be purchased after installing the double-glazed window.
    • No installation.
  • Depending on the manufacturer:
    • Russia;
    • France;
    • Germany.

    TBK-Market consultants will help you choose a window ventilation to create an ideal microclimate in your home, office or production area.

    Good to everyone and everyone separately!

    One of my friends, a talkative one, began to complain more and more about not feeling well. She, of course, is no longer a girl, but a lady of considerable age, but she still goes to work. And that's where he catches a cold. Without opening the window, he cannot breathe because of the stuffiness, but when he opens it, he gets caught in a draft. I tried to find out if there is a supply valve in the window. It turned out that she knew nothing about him. If you hear about such a device for the first time, then read on.

    Ventilation issues in PVC windows, or why do you need a supply valve?

    The first thing I want to say: I am talking about the inlet valve not for the sake of advertising the products of my company, but to expand the circle of people who will know how to make the microclimate of a room with PVC windows as pleasant as possible.

    Plastic double-glazed windows provide the room with excellent heat and sound insulation. But a person cannot stay in a sealed space around the clock and feel comfortable if the room is not ventilated or equipped with a good ventilation system.

    Manufacturers of insulating glass units have long developed a number of ventilation devices for PVC profiles.

    What is the purpose of the voiced additional elements? They provide an inflow of fresh air for ventilation of the room and remove polluted air from it.... There are many valve models, as well as manufacturers, and today you can easily find ventilation window accessories from the Belgian company Titon, the French company Aereco or the German Siegenia.

    If we talk about ventilation products in more detail, then I refer to the main devices for small ventilation systems and compact opening limiters, which are closer to fittings in terms of their characteristics. Plug-in elements for PVC profiles, such as, for example, ventilation ducts, valves, dampers with an opening mechanism, have the same purpose, but are subject to a separate classification. Choosing from the assortment available in the availability, you need to know in advance which principle of regulation of ventilation devices - automatic or manual - suits you best. Knowledge, albeit superficial, about the principles of operation of at least some ventilation additions will not be superfluous.

    To begin with, I'll tell you a little about ventilation slats and dampers, the variations of which are many. They are adjusted manually, their mechanism of operation is similar to the functionality of the opening limiters, but their presence should be provided even when taking measurements of window openings. That is, you cannot take them off and put on as accessories - these are separate parts built directly into window structures.

    When looking at the section of the ventilation strip, it can be seen that this is a multi-chamber profile. How many working through holes you need at the moment, you open as many. In this case, the supply of "oxygen" occurs through systems formed by ventilation holes offset relative to each other.

    What are the disadvantages of such ventilation slats? With the openings open, not only fresh air will flow into the room, but also street noise. Therefore, I recommend this type of ventilation device only if the windows of the room face a quiet street or if the presence of background noise will not be considered a serious annoying factor.

    Otherwise, it is better to choose a ventilation device in the form of, for example, the German Siegenia Aeromat noise-reducing ventilator. With its help, air exchange occurs due to the pressure difference. The device is controlled by acting on the lever drive, which can be installed on any type of window frame.

    The disadvantage of the Aeromat design is the need to donate 8 cm of the skylight along the upper horizontal of the window, since that is how much space the ventilator will take between the glass unit and the profile. According to the manufacturer, this is a small problem and the device is predicted to have high consumer demand among buyers aimed at improving the arrangement of double-glazed windows in homes or offices.

    Another object of study is the REHAU-Climamat, a ventilation valve mounted directly on a window element. Its functionality allows you to control the volume of incoming air, regulate the degree of humidity in the room atmosphere and bring the room climate to the desired level.

    At the same time, the product is small in size and does not require violating the integrity of the window profile.

    The main advantages of the valve:

    • silent control of incoming air volumes;
    • acts as a filter;
    • air flow is regulated by a special valve with several levels;
    • drafts will not bother - air distribution occurs in a vertical plane;
    • designed for any load;
    • not tied to a specific type of profile.

    The valve works automatically. The membrane contained in it silently moves from position to position when it opens or blocks air access. At moderate exposure to wind, the membrane does not interfere with the passage of the air mass. As the effect increases, the membrane changes position, driven by the air flow. Therefore, with an increase in the wind outside, the room is not threatened with excessive heat dissipation. As soon as the impact on the membrane is reduced, the passage of fresh air is resumed.

    The valve was originally created with a focus on window frames for panel buildings... The first device was introduced to the market in 1986 by Rehau AG, after a ventilation problem was discovered due to the installation of translucent structures with plastic profiles.

    The French company Aereco is the next decent ventilation manufacturer to advocate for reasonable ventilation. This manufacturer equips its models of supply devices with polyamide fabric sensors-drives. The level of humidity in the air affects the fabric, which stretches when the humidity rises and shrinks when the air becomes less humid. Thus, the dryness of the room atmosphere is regulated, due to which the problem with excess water vapor, the formation of condensation on glass units and mold colonies on the slopes disappears.

    When choosing an Aereco valve, you will need to invite a specialist for inserting such devices into a window profile. When choosing the right model, you need to take into account the technical capabilities of each regarding noise absorption and air consumption.

    With Aereco, you don't have to worry about colds due to drafts - the flow of cold air is always directed towards the ceiling. When the valve is fully opened, the device provides sound insulation in the range of 33-42 dB. The device is active around the clock, does not require an electrical connection, the valve starts to move when the atmospheric humidity changes. Can be installed on frames made of any material, including wood. To maintain impeccable hygiene, the valve should be cleaned once a year without removing it from the frame.

    The Aereco valve can even be used on the windows of residential buildings in regions where winters are harsh. Despite the absence of heating elements inside the structure, the formation of ice on it does not occur due to the temperature difference between the outside and room air. There is nothing mysterious about this phenomenal feature of the device: the incoming cold air affects the unheated parts of the valve, preventing the warm air humid mass from the room from contacting them. Therefore, freezing does not occur.

    If you are thinking about stabilizing the humidity level in your kitchen or bathroom, then I can recommend exhaust grilles from the same manufacturer.

    Like the device described above, they independently determine the degree of saturation of the air with moisture and, when the desired level is exceeded, they begin to remove it. For those who like to control such processes, a manual switching mode is provided. If desired, the device can be supplemented with a fire protection system, fan or filter. But even when using only the basic version, it will be more comfortable to breathe not only in a room with a source of increased moisture release, but also in the entire apartment.

    However, I will return directly to the valves for the windows. In our capital, Aereco products are found on insulating glass units of various manufacturers. Since the installation of the product can be performed both when creating a separate structure, and on double-glazed windows already standing in window openings, without resorting to dismantling or replacing frames. Therefore, today, the service of adding an Aereco ventilation valve to a double-glazed unit is no longer surprising to anyone.

    A pleasant difference of this valve model is that when fastened to a cover (frame, impost, casement or frame-casement), the window light opening will not decrease. And it is this factor that can become decisive in the decision to purchase this particular version of the ventilation supplement.

    The unpleasant consequence of the installation of plastic double-glazed windows - excessive sealing, leading to an increase in the level of air humidity in the premises, the appearance of mold on the slopes of windows and walls of the room, the formation of condensation on the glass with the arrival of the cold season - was initially encountered by the consumer. Having seen one or several manifestations, people immediately began to blame the manufacturers of double-glazed windows for the problem. They say that the plastic is of poor quality or this technology is wrong, since such problems did not arise from windows in ordinary frames.

    In fact, everything described happens for one reason - due to the lack of an established process of air exchange, which is why the moisture released by us during the period when we are in the room remains in the atmosphere of the room.

    Many of us live in buildings where exhaust ducts are provided only in special premises (kitchen and bathroom). According to SNIPs and GOSTs, additional air flow was supplied due to the presence of micro-slots in wooden frames. Those. it turns out that all these drafts from under the windowsills and frames were not only the result of their physical drying out, but also a necessary factor in the projects. Thanks to him, residents of apartments with normal heating did not encounter such a phenomenon as mold on the walls and condensation on the glass.

    When installing plastic double-glazed windows, air exchange through the micro-slots of the window frames stopped, so all the moisture released by people during breathing, during cooking or washing, remains inside apartments and houses. Other products of our vital activity accumulate there, albeit invisible to sight.

    What remains in our homes besides water vapor:

    • carbon dioxide that enters the atmosphere of the room when we breathe;
    • evaporation from the surface of the decorative finish;
    • smells from cooking dishes;

    I would also add radon to this list., the exceeding of the norms of which in any home with PVC double-glazed windows without ventilation is increasingly announced by representatives of the sanitary and epidemiological supervision. This gas is classified as an inert gas, it has no smell or color, but it is a source of radioactive radiation. Doctors consider it a slightly less aggressive killer of people than nicotine, which leads to death from lung cancer. Radon is credited with 8/10 of all household exposure that a person gets from household sources. Where does this gas come from in our homes? From building materials and earth, so it is almost impossible not to get into the field of its rays. Unless you provide your home with high-quality ventilation.

    We arrange ventilation of a room with PVC double-glazed windows by means of ventilation

    Modern plastic double-glazed windows have very convenient functions.

    In addition to ensuring complete tightness, they allow you to open the sashes as you like - fully opening, slightly opening only the upper part with an inclination towards you, setting slot ventilation.

    However, some of the owners of houses or apartments with such windows open the vents in the old fashioned way. Or it does not ventilate the premises at all in the winter, trying to keep such an expensive warmth in the house today.

    The main reasons for this behavior:

    • advertising, which says that thanks to plastic windows near the window opening, it does not blow anywhere, apparently, it worked so well on the subconscious that people simply do not open the vents in winter (this aggravates the problem, because ventilation is necessary in houses with PVC structures);
    • crevice and normal ventilation can lead to the formation of a draft, and they try to avoid it;
    • in theory, in order to maintain normal working capacity and feel vigor in the body, we need fresh air, at least 25 cubic meters per hour; to provide yourself with such an amount, the room needs to be ventilated for 5 minutes 24 times a day - naturally, no one just bothers about this;
    • street noise in some cities annoys people living near transport arteries so much that residents categorically do not want to open plastic windows even for mandatory ventilation (not everyone agrees to sacrifice 25 dB of sound insulation even for a short period of time).

    I do not argue, it's a shame, having spent a lot of money on double-glazed windows, completely relieving you of street noise, endure it when you let fresh air inside the house. It’s even more offensive when you expect to freshen up the atmosphere of a room, and instead you get the remnants of smog.

    In addition to this problem, opening the sash of a double-glazed window in normal or slotted mode has a number of other negative consequences:

    • a sharp change in temperature;
    • getting into the room of allergenic pollen and ordinary street dust;
    • creating dangerous conditions for a child, a pet;
    • the ability to suffer from intruders (especially important for residents of the first floors).

    This is how the main reasons look for the fact that having modern glazing in apartments, people suffer from excessive humidity in the premises, but still refuse to ventilate or do it too rarely. Breaking this vicious circle is easy by installing an air inlet valve. For example, such as AERECO.

    It was developed in order to provide people with the opportunity to live in apartments with PVC windows in the most comfortable conditions. This is the only compromise solution for those who do not want to personally engage in multiple airing of the home, but do not want to sacrifice their health because of this. With the AEREKO ventilation damper, fresh air will enter the premises even with the shutters permanently locked. In this case, neither drafts nor a sharp drop in air temperature will occur.

    Installation of AERECO automatic supply ventilation valve on an already installed window unit in the video:

    All major benefits

    There are seven of them in total:

    • the valve provides up to 35 cubic meters of fresh air per hour (in a room with such ventilation, the head will not hurt once again, it is always easy to breathe);
    • a working AEREKO damper does not affect the soundproofing qualities of the window;
    • the valve will not be a source of noise and draft (the air flow will be directed towards the ceiling);
    • the ventilation valve is reliable in the fight against radon radiation, because it provides a round-the-clock supply of fresh air;
    • when studying the valve, you do not need to think that you bought a defective one, when you find that the product lacks tightness - this is a technical solution to the problem of freezing of the ventilation device;
    • the AEREKO valve is small, it is fixed in the area of the through rectangular slot on the upper horizontal of the frame, so it does not affect the amount of light transmitted by the glass unit;
    • always and on any window you can put an AERECO valve without removing the frame and without cutting out unnecessary holes in it (very convenient if there is no pre-installed ventilation system in the glass unit);
    • the AERECO valve will allow you to forget about condensate, mold, stuffiness and radon forever.

    How to find the right vent valve

    I consider the elegant design of the AERECO supply valve to be an additional bonus to the excellent technical characteristics.

    devices. Because, even if it was unsightly in appearance, it still should have been installed. After all, with its presence, a bunch of sanitary and hygienic problems will leave your home. The table will help you navigate the advantages of AERECO over supply valves of other types and brands.

    We independently carry out the installation of the ventilation valve

    I do not advise you to pay attention to supply valves at a seductively low price and, moreover, to trust the installation of the device to a random person. You can screw up a double-glazed window so that it only remains to dismantle and throw it away.

    As for the cost. AERECO valve in a complete set (I am talking about the EHA and EMM series) costs about 150 euros. The complete set should be understood as the presence of the ventilation device itself, a mosquito net and an acoustic visor. A product for a similar purpose of the VENT Air II brand costs less - 2,000 rubles. However, flawless installation of both devices is only possible in the factory.

    In practice, this looks like a cut in the frame profile of a pair of through channels using an adapted milling machine. On the profile of the installed window, such a process can no longer be carried out - only a similar one, but there will be no sense from it.

    I admit that the stars will smile at you, and you will meet a person who is ready to install a supply valve of one of the above models on the window. Do you want me to tell you how events will develop further and how the valve installation will end?

    To maintain the image of a professional, the craftsman will take out an incomprehensible-looking metal template, and then try it on the frame. He will make some kind of markup or remember the visible points for him alone for the contact of the worn device with the frame.

    Armed with a drill, he will ditch the profile, having drilled more than a dozen through holes in it - at this stage it is already possible to say goodbye to the tightness of the profile.

    After cutting each hole, the surrounding area will be decorated with a portion of fine metal dust and shavings. Then, with the help of a jigsaw, through channels will appear, which will be brought to the "ideal" state with an ordinary file. The resulting holes will be covered with a supply valve, and this disgrace will cost an unknown amount - its size is limited only by the conscience of the master.

    For your own money, you get a disabled window disguised as a modernized one, a lot of dirt and the prospect of soon looking for funds for a new double-glazed window. To avoid such a fate will help the acquisition of a supply valve, which does not require a tie-in in the profile. For example, such as a Russian-made product, the Air-Box Comfort valve. The installation of a product, which, for a second, costs only 400 rubles, does not require significant skills in using male tools and - it is enough to know how to handle a screwdriver. Detailed instructions in Russian greatly simplify the process - you do it and you know that you are not reinventing the wheel at your own expense, but that you follow the recommendations of real specialists.

    Algorithm with an approximate indication of the time spent on manipulations:

    • 10.30 - free up the window-sill space - prepare the working area;
    • 10.35 - find and put a sharp stationery knife and a screwdriver next to the window;
    • 10.37 - open the window;
    • 10.37 - try on the valve to the frame in the place where it will be installed;
    • 10.38 - make cuts on the sealing gum itself, focusing on the outer edges of the valve;
    • 10.39 - carefully remove that part of the seal that you marked with cuts;
    • 10.39 - insert the embedded fixing dowels where the points of screwing in the self-tapping screws are outlined for installing the supply valve on the sash;
    • 10.40 - fix the valve on the sash with three self-tapping screws;
    • 10.42 - insert two seals from the complete set to the ventilation device in the space between the fastening points;
    • 10.43 - remove the rubber seal on the frame profile in the place where the valve is, replace the rubber with a seal from the complete set for the ventilation device;
    • 10.44 - rejoice at how beautiful and reliable everything is.

    All costs are 400 rubles and less than a quarter of an hour for installation work.

    What to expect from the Air-Box Comfort vent valve:

    • air permeability indicators - 10 Pa, cubic meters / hour 42;
    • sound insulation protection - RA, dBA - 32;
    • indicator of the ability to retain heat m2 * OC / W - 0.58;
    • overall parameters 350x32x13 (in mm);
    • RAL on request;
    • panel color is white.

    The Air-Box Comfort inlet valve is the guarantor of your comfort

    Feedback on the operation of the Air-Box Comfort inlet valve in the video:

    Can your apartment windows breathe at night?

    It is not enough for a person to have a roof over his head; he strives to create maximum comfort in his home. The comfort of the atmosphere in the house depends on the warmth of the air, its humidity and the speed of movement. If all parameters are normal, it is easy to breathe inside the house, work and rest easily. When a distortion occurs, for example, due to a decrease in the volume of oxygen, problems begin with the general well-being of the inhabitants of the house. A person reacts in the same way to an increase in humidity or volume of hardly noticeable to the human sense of smell, but still real fumes from furniture, flooring.

    What to do in this case? Establish a process of manual or automatic ventilation - a portion of fresh air from the street will quickly return to normal the state of the atmosphere at home. The carbon dioxide released during our breathing will leave it, fresh and not very aromas of food will evaporate, the balance of moisture in the air will even out. All these processes are described in one word - VENTILATION.

    You cannot do without it even when there is no one in the apartment or house. Everything in the home environment has the ability to breathe, although the process is different from what we are used to understanding by this term. As a result, the air of the home is filled with moisture from aquariums, plants, and the breath of pets in the house. But the volumes of water replenishment in this case are small and the micro-slots of the apartment in the walls, window and doorways will cope with their output to the street.

    By the time the owners return home, the humidity level is kept at the baseline level.

    The value of this parameter is influenced by many factors. Among them are the degree of air cooling outside the house, the number and power of heating devices inside it, the presence of controlled and uncontrolled household sources of moisture.

    Excess moisture in the air is just as harmful as its deficiency. But with the arrival of the heating season, the relative humidity of the atmosphere of the apartment can drop to 15%, which is very harmful. Then you need to think about installing a device to saturate the air in the room with moisture.

    However, the situation with the balance of water in the room atmosphere changes dramatically with the arrival of the owners. Vapors from wet clothes, human breathing, hygiene procedures, and washing, lead to an increase in moisture concentration. As the activity dies down, humidity also falls, but significant changes in saturation occur only during airing. In the morning everything repeats itself and the air is again filled with moisture due to our usual actions: cooking breakfast, hygiene procedures.

    If it seems to you that people breathe out not so much moisture, then I can only say one thing: during sleep, one person exhales about a liter of water. Multiply this volume by the number of household members. Now it is clear why in the morning the apartment before airing sometimes resembles a sauna? And an excess of moisture in the air is not only a slight discomfort when breathing, but also a headache, a feeling of weakness.

    In general, take control over the level of humidity in the house into your own hands. If in the evenings you like to gather with a large family in front of the TV, then you can ventilate the room both before the start of a home cinema session and after. Before going to bed, if you want everyone to be alert in the morning, and not sleepy chickens, also do not forget to let a portion of fresh air into the bedroom.

    Of course, you will have to spend money on warming up the cold air. However, it is also impossible to neglect ventilation for reasons of economy. Those citizens who pay for a communal apartment without taking into account personal actual expenditures of energy resources, somehow do not think about communication: more often you ventilate, more energy is spent on heating the house. The same cannot be said about the people who switched to individual meters.

    No matter what category of citizens your family belongs to, questions about the consumption of heat energy must be approached consciously. Even residents of a multi-storey building can increase the heat level in their apartments without having direct access to valves to regulate the heat supply to the radiators.

    The simplest, but not losing its effectiveness, way is to exclude the points of unauthorized leakage of heat into the space. This is achieved by insulating windows, doorways, replacing light curtains with dense curtains. If the boiler room does not work as actively as necessary, then you cannot do without an additional heating device.

    I can offer a more modern way to solve the problem of heat leakage from the house - to replace the old frame structures with modern PVC double-glazed windows. In addition to the ability to stand as a faithful guard for the protection of room heat, modern windows provide high-quality protection from street noise and dust. But bad luck, in the absence of a built-in ventilation system, such windows become a source of problems with humidity and contribute to the concentration of radon, carbon dioxide, and unpleasant odors in the atmosphere of an apartment.

    As a result, you begin to notice that:

    • PVC window glass is now and then covered with condensation (especially in the cold season);
    • mold spots appear here and there on the snow-white slopes;
    • stuffiness is felt in the apartment every now and then.

    What is the reason? The old wooden frames were so-called cold bridges, through which the heat accumulated in the room flowed out into the street. But through the same cracks, not only excess moisture left the room, but also fresh air seeped in. With the installation of PVC double-glazed windows, all these holes disappeared. Not everyone has the habit of often ventilating the house. As a result, stationary ventilation ducts in the bathroom and kitchen no longer cope with the load and the house, and at the same time you and your family, begin to suffer from manifestations of high humidity.

    If you have a good habit to ventilate the room at least once a day, problems due to plastic double-glazed windows may not arise. At your disposal, even with the purchase of a basic set of windows, the ability to open the sashes in the same way as was done with the vent in a window with a wooden frame, or turn the sash in an inclined plane or use slot ventilation. Do not forget about the same opening limiters.

    Starting airing:

    • make sure that when airing, neither you nor someone close to you get into the draft zone;
    • be prepared to suffer a little from street noise even with slot ventilation - the level of sound insulation for this period will drop to 18 dB with slot ventilation and up to 9 dB with normal ventilation;
    • do not leave an open window unattended if you live on the first floor and do not have a protective frame on the opening (at night, do not even think to go to sleep without locking the windows);
    • do not leave the open window unattended if there are children, a cat, or birds outside the cage at home;
    • with high humidity in a room or a large crowd of people in an apartment, open the doors more often than usual (if someone is against it, try to explain the reason for your love for manipulating the window).

    Of course, when installing new PVC double-glazed windows, you hardly expected a new scope of responsibilities. Most likely, the manager who offered the windows did not talk about them. And to the question about the dangers of complete tightness of the living space, in response you heard, I think, only about the provided micro-ventilation of the windows.

    Yes, a certain amount of outside air will penetrate into the room through the channels in the window profile - they are specially made at the factory. However, these receipts can only fight, for example, fogging of windows. But these tiny canals are not able to meet your family's needs for fresh air. Think for yourself: according to SNIPU, it is necessary to update the atmosphere of the room at a rate of three cubic meters of air per hour for every square meter of residential area. Can such a volume of air masses seep into the tiny holes of your window profile? Therefore, the ventilation process must be constantly supervised either independently or with the help of auxiliary devices.

    The presence of fresh air in the house is a guarantee of the health of each of its inhabitants, the basis of well-being in all its manifestations. After all, not experiencing a lack of oxygen, we are more cheerful, with less effort we solve existing problems. Yes, we are just glad that the next morning will come, and we are not struggling with the desire to stay forever under the canopy of a blanket.

    If there have been no serious health problems so far, thank heavens, but you are worried about the sudden appearance of mold on the slopes, then you are not nervous for nothing. This is one of the first manifestations that indicate a problem due to the tightness of plastic insulating glass units.

    Until other unpleasant surprises follow, take control of the proper ventilation of the room.

    Even if there are no extended lines for fresh air in the existing glass unit, the situation can be corrected even without radical methods. And you don't have to constantly pay attention to the vents, opening them open and locking them every hour. Everything has already been thought out, invented and even produced before you realized that you need to do something with the manifestations of excessive moisture in the house.

    All owners of apartments or houses with installed double-glazed windows face problems due to sealed windows.

    The cost of the latter does not in any way affect their ability to withstand the accumulation of excess moisture in the room. It is only the presence of an inlet valve that matters, or the habit of carrying out full ventilation several times a day.

    What are hinged ventilation systems? All models can be divided into built-in window profiles even during the assembly of structures at the factory and into ready-made double-glazed windows mounted in openings. The latter type eliminates the need to spend money on reinstalling new glass units with pre-installed ventilation valves. When choosing the latter, I recommend choosing models in which ventilation is carried out in automatic mode. Otherwise, how will running to the inlet valve differ from running to the window sashes for ventilation in the usual format?

    In order for the device to work independently of the control on your part, you need to configure its response to a specific parameter. It is most convenient to focus on the humidity indicator of the room atmosphere. After all, its level most often jumps both because of our natural life, and as a result of the actions that we often perform at home: we cook, wash, dry clothes after forced walks in the rain.

    If you take control of this very humidity, then in addition to a general improvement in well-being, the problem with the appearance of mold on the slopes and walls will be solved along the way, the windows will stop fogging up.

    In order not to provoke problems with well-being due to constant fluctuations in humidity, the devices controlling it for windows should be chosen from a line of products with hygro-controlled automatic systems. Then the moisture stabilization will take place smoothly and around the clock, without unnecessary consumption of room heat.

    For more than 20 years, the French manufacturer of ventilation systems "AERECO" has been supplying the market with automatic air inlets for humidity regulation. The EHA and EMM models are able to work autonomously and without the aid of exhaust grilles. But then you will have to pay a little more on electricity bills.

    Products are small-sized, can work on structures made of any material, do not reduce the amount of incoming light, since they are placed on the frame itself, equipping the profile from the inside and outside. Even when operating at full capacity, they do not let the street noise haunt you, as they sound damping index ranges from 33-42 dB. Particularly pleasing is the fact that for the installation of the device there is no need to interfere with the profile device or remove the double-glazed window.

    In operation, these supply valves are very convenient and do not allow drafts to form, since they direct the incoming air towards the ceiling. In the homeland of plastic windows - in France, and in the rest of Europe, these devices have been in operation for a long time. And I think it's time for us to master the culture of the correct use of plastic double-glazed windows. After all, they were created for our comfort, and not for the sake of the opportunity to add problems to our lives.

    How to solve the ventilation problem after installing PVC windows, see the video:

    Features of the supply valve

    Plastic bags have taken root here too. Indeed, with their help, you can ensure silence even in an apartment overlooking a busy highway, reliably protect your home from drafts, cold and precipitation. However, they have one drawback that prevents you from enjoying the functionality of PVC windows - because of them, the premises become airtight and the process of natural air exchange observed in apartments with wooden frames is reduced to naught.

    There are no microcracks in the plastic profiles, through which the apartments received rather substantial portions of fresh air. Therefore, the modernized apartment needs to be ventilated either by opening the doors with your handles or with the help of special air inlets.

    Any modern ventilation valve on a glass unit becomes a solution to a number of problems.

    Among them:

    • stabilization of the humidity level in the room;
    • headaches of households due to gas pollution of the atmosphere of the room with breath products, fumes from the surface of household items.

    How the ventilation valve works

    This is an invention for installation on the sash of a plastic window (upper horizontal), so that in this place small volumes of air pass through the barrier of the profile of the insulating glass unit: fresh inside the room, stale from it.

    In addition to the device for installation in the upper window strip, it is possible to use structures for insertion into the foam joint between the frame block and the wall, into the window strip itself or into the space between the sash and the frame of the PVC double-glazed window.

    In the case when there is a supply device, but the problems with mold and excess air humidity have not disappeared, then I will authoritatively declare that you bought and installed a fake valve. Therefore, be careful when choosing such a product, do not rejoice at the opportunity to save a lot. Most likely, the low price of the valve is an indicator that they are trying to sell you a fake.

    We carry out the installation of the structure

    There is nothing difficult in installing the valve if each step corresponds to a specific point in the instructions. All you need is the valve itself, a normal and handy screwdriver, and a sharp utility knife. It is better not to install supply canopies that need to be installed using milling on your own - a professional will not only do everything beautifully, but will also save the "life" of the glass unit itself.

    Indisputable advantages of a ventilation supply unit:

    • it can be placed on any frame (wood, aluminum, plastic);
    • it does not interfere with the light transmission of the window, since it does not reduce the amount of incoming light;
    • the operating device does not reduce the soundproofing of the glass unit;
    • fresh air will enter the room around the clock (this is necessary even if it is winter outside the window);
    • when air is injected, no drafts are formed - the air mass is directed to the ceiling (thanks to this, neither you nor any of your loved ones will blow through, which means that no one will sacrifice health for the sake of the desire to maintain normal humidity in the room);
    • the supply of fresh air does not lead to significant heat losses.

    Information about supply valves in the video:

    Valve types

    To equip double-glazed windows with ventilation valves, the market offers to use wooden, metal or plastic supply products. All this mass can be divided into two groups: manual and automatic. The first ones are equipped with a special rope, without which it is not very convenient even for a tall person to get to the device located in the upper part of the glass unit. The latter require only an initial adjustment of the orientation parameters, and after that the valves themselves open and close as needed.

    Pressure-based work is carried out using a special curtain equipped with an upper suspension. In strong winds, the curtain creeps up and reduces the amount of air entering the room. Moisture-based operation depends on the readings of a special sensor that contains nylon straps. When wet, they force the valve to open; when the tapes dry out, the opposite process occurs.

    I strongly advise against interfering with the operation of a device designed to work in automatic mode.- there is a great risk of freezing the room and damaging the valve. The product developers have foreseen everything, so you need to relax and resign from the position of being responsible for the fresh air in the room. The device will automatically determine when the moment comes for the exchange of air between the room and the street.

    In order not to miss the selection of a valve for an already standing window, choose a product with technical parameters that are as close as possible to those of the window.

    Care

    The device of the supply ventilation device is simple, as they say, to disgrace, therefore, periodic manipulations to clean the valve from dust and dirt are unlikely to cause difficulties.

    All you need to do is, once a year or two, remove the main layer of dirt with a vacuum cleaner. The surface of the case will have to be wiped with a damp cloth a little more often, focusing on the presence or absence of traces of flies and other types of pollution.

    I do not recommend using anything wetter than a sanitary napkin, because washing or abundantly wetting the valve can result in its failure. It is impossible to use aggressive chemicals and even ordinary water to wet the napkins. When carrying out repair work in a room where there is a ventilation valve on the window, it must be covered with something.

    Anyone can install a ventilation valve

    Installation of a ventilation valve does not require professionalism- it is enough to be able to use a screwdriver and a stationery knife correctly, and have 15 minutes of free time.

    Before starting the installation, remove everything from the window sill in order to save the life of all objects lying there and to exclude the possibility of inadvertent damage to any part of the glass unit.

    First, attach the product to the profile and with a knife make cuts on the sealing elastic, marking the boundaries of the valve. Deepen the cuts, and then draw out the resulting piece of elastic.

    Insert the dowels into the holes for the self-tapping screws, attach the valve to the sash on them, and then twist all three hardware in them. Insert the rubber seals supplied with the product between the mountings.

    Mounting

    Why have plastic windows become popular? They are an insurmountable barrier to street dust and moisture. But due to their technical features that ensure tightness, the windows interfere, or rather exclude the possibility of natural air conditioning of the room. You can see the consequences of this already a couple of days after the final installation of the double-glazed window into the frame: the glass of the structure begins to become covered with condensation, and puddles begin to grow on the windowsill. Soon, mold will begin to appear on the slopes, if you do not solve this problem in some radical way.

    Regular control over the ventilation is not within the power of everyone - we are too busy with our daily activities to open the window every hour to start up another portion of fresh air. Yes, and in winter such procedures do not really want to be done when the frost outside is twenty degrees and the wind is north.

    By installing a valve on the window, you can solve many problems:

    • you do not need to quit current affairs and be distracted by the airing procedure;
    • the intake of a fresh portion of air is carried out when the atmosphere in the room contains an excess percentage of moisture;
    • airing takes place in a safe mode for all.

    What is a supply valve?

    If your window “cried” with tears of condensation, and the slopes bloomed with spots of mold, then there is only one solution: urgently adjust the air conditioning of the room.

    Then you will quickly get rid of the manifestations of excess moisture. Where does it come from in a room with heating and a secure roof?

    Here are the main sources of moisture:

    • a resting person releases about 40 g of liquid per hour;
    • a working person releases about 90 g of liquid per hour;
    • one medium-sized flowerpot supplies 10 g of water per hour;
    • all containers with water supply up to 200 g of liquid to the atmosphere of the room in an hour;
    • when cooking, drying wet linen, wet cleaning, the atmosphere of the apartment receives up to 1000 g of water every hour.

    Just one small valve on a double-glazed window will easily rid the atmosphere of the room from excessive moisture reserves. If he does not cope, then either his installation was performed in violation of the technology, or you bought a fake.

    How is it mounted?

    Every home craftsman will cope with the installation of the supply valve in ten minutes. Of the auxiliary tools, you only need a screwdriver and a clerical knife. Naturally, the valve is also fully equipped (with 350 mm rubber sealing cords).

    In order not to mess up when removing the rubber in the sash frame, you first need to take measurements and set the markings where the valve will stand.

    Having freed the area from the seal, put in this place first the valve, and then the seal from the kit to the product. Yes, you only need to equip a sash with which you can move.

    Having dealt with the section of the seal that needs to be removed, carefully remove it. At this point, a groove is now clearly visible, where you need to insert three plugs from the valve. Then remove the top strip of double-sided tape from the device and attach it with a sticky area to the place where there are already plugs.

    Using small self-tapping screws, secure the valve by screwing them into the plugs. Try to gently move the device. If it sits securely, then you can glue the sealing rubber.

    Each ventilation valve to the plastic window is an adjustable device. When positioned in the extreme right position, it is breathable.
